Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
You begin training Bardock on achieving Super Saiyan and keep working with young Broly’s control as your ship travels back to New Salda. Three months in you learn of Paragus’ fate, and Broly goes Berserk. After he explodes and nearly kills the both of you, you have a wierd near-death dream then adopt the fledgling Super Saiyan, much to his and Chaya’s joy. You’d spent the rest of that day resting, you and Meloka enjoying some quality alone time while the kids played. As we rejoin Karn, you’re just now waking up after a good night’s sleep.

“Mhrrrrm.” you mumble, rolling over as you wake up. Surprisingly you don’t roll into Meloka, the surprise causing you to open your eyes. Which you immediately regret, the ship’s lights causing you to immediately shut them again. Blinking a few times to adjust to the light, you soon enough clearly see that Meloka isn’t here. A moment of panic hits you, you looking around pointlessly for a few seconds before focusing your mind and sensing for her ki. You find it easily enough, Meloka’s seemingly in the Gravity Chamber, despite how early it is. Sensing around, everyone else is probably asleep except hopefully the pilots. Opening your eyes again you see Chaya, Broly and Kakarot again all asleep on the other bed, peacefully sleeping.

Floating up out of bed, you drift over to your clothes and get dressed, staying quiet to avoid waking the kids up. You pull your armor on over your head, Chaya stirring in her sleep. You freeze, wondering if she’ll wake up. After a second of murmuring she rolls over onto Broly back asleep. You breathe out, realizing you were holding it in and slip your boots on then float out of the room. You land outside your room as the door slides shut, walking towards the Gravity Chamber. The halls are completely empty, your footsteps echoing down them softly. You make your way to the Gravity Chamber, once you’re there you peek through the door’s window, slightly hearing what’s happening inside.

“HYAAAAAAAA!!” Meloka shouts, golden aura flaring around her. You see lightning dancing around her and suddenly, just for a moment as her hair changes, you feel her transform. She did it, she Ascended! As soon as it happens, however, that power fades. She drops back to a normal Super Saiyan, then back down to base form as she falls to her hands and knees, panting heavily.
“So this is what you’re doing.” you think to yourself, pride welling up. She’d meant what she’d said to you before about getting stronger, and here’s the proof. She’s pushing her limits, determined to go beyond.

Instead of disturbing her, you let her have this time to herself, you making your way back to your room to get the kids up and fed. As you walk back, you can’t help but feel pride in Meloka, smiling as you go. Arriving back to your room you find the three of them all still asleep, a tangled mess of limbs. Chuckling to yourself, you wake them all up, sending a message to Silver telepathically and letting him know you’re all coming as you make them all get up and dressed. Once they’re all ready you let them lead the way to the Mess Hall, the three of them racing to see who can run there the fastest.

Arriving at the Mess Hall, you see that your message to Silver was well-timed. Walking through the doors, you see Jim setting out the last of five enormous platters stacked high with delicious-smelling food. The children don’t hesitate, launching themselves at the table with little restraint. You dig in as well, at least sitting down before tearing into it hungrily. After maybe twenty minutes the doors open again, you turning in your seat and seeing a tired, slightly frustrated-seeming Meloka. Her eyes widen in surprise as she sees you all, her mood brightening instantly. She’s smiling as she walks over, sitting beside you across from the children and digging in as well. You all eat until you’re content, Jim having to bring out another four large platters Silver prepared before you all are satisfied. Once everyone’s eaten their fill, you and Meloka thank Silver, Chaya flying over into him and hugging him, saying “Thank yoou!” before flying back to you, sitting on your shoulders contentedly as you all leave the Mess Hall.

“Good morning hun.” you tell Meloka, picking her up and kissing her deep for a few seconds.
“Mornin’.” she replies breathlessly as you both seperate, still smiling and blushing slightly. “You’re up early.”
“You were up even earlier.” you reply casually, Chaya jumping off your shoulders and talking with Raditz and Broly about something. “I rolled over and you weren’t there, I was worried there for a few seconds.”
“I’m sorry I-“ she starts, before you interrupt her, the kids all taking off at a sprint down the hall.
“Its fine.” you reply, her looking curiously at you. “But if you need my help, don’t be afraid to ask okay?”
“I’ve almost got it.” she says, smiling warmly at you. “I want to get it on my own.”
“I know you can do it.” you reply back, Meloka floating up into your arms. You both share another intimate kiss, before she pulls away.
“What about you?” she asks. “We only have one month before we get back to New Salda. What are you gonna do?”

“I’ll keep working with Broly and Bardock.” you say, the kids running past the two of you at full speed. “I feel that Bardock’s close to breaking through and finally achieving Super Saiyan. But after what happened the other day I need to keep a close eye on Broly, try and help him keep control. What about you?”
“I’m gonna keep pushing through.” she replies, her determination apparent. “I’m gonna get this.”
“Alright then, let’s get to it!” you say, the kids all again running towards the two of you. You stop Broly, the boy barely ahead of Chaya, yet both well ahead of Kakarot. You take him with you, sending a telepathic message to Bardock and letting him know you’ll be in the Gravity Chamber to work with him as well. And so, the last month of training begins.

Every day for the next two weeks, you spend several hours in the Gravity Chamber working with the two of them. With Broly you work with him on maintaining his control over his Super Saiyan form, working on keeping him from losing control again like he did before. At the same time, you work with Bardock, trying to help him with that final push to achieve the full Super Saiyan state. Each day he gets closer and closer, pulling more and more power from the False Super Saiyan form. After three weeks he’s almost achieved it, but he just needs that final nudge. You decide that you’ll just have to push him to the edge, and see if you can get him to just do it.

“Alright Bardock, today’s the day.” you tell him, transforming into a Super Saiyan after you’d gotten Broly to work on his fighting technique while transformed. “We’re not stopping until you’ve done it.”
“Right.” he says, focusing his power and transforming into his False Super Saiyan form, taking his stance across from you. You both stare each other down a moment, then launch yourselves at each other with a mighty roar. You and Bardock clash with each other, full-speed, full contact. After several minutes, Bardock’s form drops, leaving him panting in his base form.

“We’re not done yet!” you shout, blasting towards the downed Saiyan. His reactions are much slower now, you catching him with a right cross and sending him crashing hard into the wall.
“Gah!!” he cries out as he slams back-first into the wall, bouncing off and landing in a crouch. Before he can recover, you’re there, catching his chin with your boot and launching him hard into the ceiling. He cries out again, slamming into the ceiling then back down into the floor before you.

“C’mon Bardock, don’t you quit on me!” you shout, grabbing him by the armor and lifting him to your level. “You’re not done yet, show me what you’ve go-!”

“STOP!!” Broly roars, and suddenly you feel it. Oh shit, not again.

“RRRAAAAAAAA!!” Broly roars as he charges you, hair and aura flashing between green and golden as he closes in. You don’t have time to react, his fist slamming into your jaw and sending you crashing into the wall. You’re dazed from the hit, the room’s spinning too much for you to rise back up to your feet despite your best efforts. Before you know what’s happening, his foot appears before your eyes, the berserk boy kicking you across the room to slam into the far wall. You crash hard into it, sliding down and landing on your hands and knees. You try to find your balance, looking up as he roars, transforming again. You watch disoriented as the colors around you shift and change, his true power warping reality around himself. With a final roar its done, the boy is completely out of control again.

“Dammit!” Bardock shouts, forcing himself to again take his False Super Saiyan form and rushing the rampaging child. Bardock roars, slamming his fist hard into the side of Broly’s head. However, his efforts were completely for naught, Broly’s head not even moving from the impact. The boy turns slowly, glaring at Bardock past his fist. He recoils, stunned, taking a pair of fearful steps back from Broly.

“Wha-what the hell are-?” he says, before Broly’s fist interrupts him and crashes into his gut, Bardock falling to his knees.

“RRRAAAAAAA!!!” Broly roars, lifting both fists over his head and slamming them down at Bardock in a two-handed axe handle. Shit, not li-

Bardock raises his hands slowly, yet just fast enough to stop Broly’s strike. And stop it he does, Broly’s strike completely stopped by Bardock. His hair flashes gold for a moment, his aura flaring golden around him as well. Broly backs up confused, head tilted at Bardock. The scarred Saiyan rises to his feet, hair flashing between gold and black. You watch in awe, Bardock roaring out as his transformation completes, standing tall before the Berserk Broly, the boy looking ready to attack. You finally find your balance, rising to your feet.

Broly roars at Bardock, the older Saiyan simply glaring coldly, wordlessly at the boy. Before you are ready, Broly launches himself at Bardock, the boy roaring with all the force his little lungs can manage. He punches at Bardock, the scarred warrior slamming his fist into Broly’s. But he couldn’t overpower the rampaging boy, Broly overpowering him and sending him flying back. Bardock flips once, landing feet-first on the wall and bouncing back at Broly, landing a hard punch to the boy’s face. Unfortunately, his strike again does nothing, Broly grinning maliciously. But before he can do anything, you take your shot. Blitzing up behind Broly, you slip your arm around his throat, elbow below his chin and lock it in with your other hand. You clench the hold tight, lifting the boy into the air by the hold. You don’t want to hurt him but if he’s allowed to rampage it’ll be-

“Glurk!” you vocalize, Broly’s elbow slamming hard into your gut. You refuse to let go of the hold, Broly slamming his elbow into your gut again and again and again. Your grip falters, and with a final crushing blow Broly sends you flying, crashing into the far wall. You again fall to the ground, this time coughing up blood onto the Gravity Chamber floor. After a moment you push yourself to your hands and knees, looking up to see how Bardock’s faring.

He’s not doing well. Despite finally becoming a Super Saiyan, he stands no chance against what Broly is now. Again and again he’s attacked by the boy, barely keeping up with Broly’s rampage. For every strike Bardock blocks, another strikes him with Broly’s full might. This isn’t good, he can’t keep this up much longer.

The max is 50x New Salda’s gravity(100x Planet Vegeta’s), I messed it up in that update. 30x Planet Vegeta’s was your last ship’s max.

You push yourself to your feet, clutching your gut as you painfully cough up yet more blood. Focusing your power, you Ascend, your weariness forgotten. Dashing over to the Gravity Chamber’s control panel, you set the machine to 50x New Salda’s gravity, this chamber’s maximum. You’ve never experienced this level before, bracing yourself for it. Before you fire it, you think to Bardock and tell him your plan. Unfortunately for him, your message distracted him, Broly catching him across the jaw with a massive punch and sending him crashing down to the ground. Before Broly can rush him, you brace yourself and throw the switch. It takes a pair of seconds, then you feel it.

The sudden shift in gravity is intense. Despite being experienced with gravity changing and braced for the shift, this was something else entirely. You were nearly slammed into the ground, but you by far fared the best. Bardock, already on the ground, is now effectively pinned by the massive shift. But Broly, completely unprepared, was walking toward Bardock when you activated it. Unable to remain upright, the force slamming him hard facedown onto the ground. After a second or two you feel his power plummet as his hair changes, reverting back to its usual black. You immediately shut down the Gravity Chamber, not wanting it to crush him. Sighing out, you release your Ascended transformation as well, returning to a base Super Saiyan.

“Okay, just what the hell -is- that?” Bardock asks you, pushing himself uneasily to his feet. “You’d said before he went berserk, but what the hell does that mean?!”
“I, I don’t really understand it. Not completely.” you tell him, lifting the unconscious boy to your shoulder. You see him bleeding from where his forehead slammed hard to the floor, you need to get him to the Healing Pods. Gesturing with your head, you lead the way, explaining the transformation.

“So that’s how you know so much about it.” Bardock says contemplatively as Dr. White seals the Healing Pod with Broly inside, the fluid filling it. “It seems that Super Saiyan is just the beginning then.”
“It is.” you tell him, watching Broly in the pod. “But you’ve got to master that form before going any further.”
“Karn’s right.” King Vegeta says, walking in to see what happened to Broly. “Without mastering that form first, transforming further is impossible.”
“Wait, Vegeta, does that mean-?” you ask, the king simply smirking at you and walking away without another word. He couldn’t have....

“Oooootay!” she shouts, you chuckling and carrying her from the Medical Bay to the Gravity Chamber. Since its still technically your, Bardock’s, and Broly’s training time, no one else has yet gone in. Perfect.

“Alright Chaya, brace yourself.” you say, setting her down and walking over to the control panel. “No, bend your knees alittle more.”
“Ike this?” she asks, bending her knees alittle more.
“Perfect.” you say, preparing the chamber, ready to increase the gravity just a slight bit. “You ready?”
“READY!!” she shouts, pumping a fist.
“Alright, here we go.” you say, activating it.
“Huh? I don fee-“ she starts, then it hits. As used to higher gravity you are, increasing the gravity to two times New Salda’s gravity doesn’t even register for you. But Chaya can clearly feel it, the weight nearly slamming her to the ground.
“Chaya, you okay?” you ask as you walk over to her, your daughter gritting her teeth as she struggles to remain upright. “Chaya, can you hear me?”
“Nnnn, grrrr.” she snarls, trying to remain standing. But its still too much for her, your daughter dropping toward her hands and knees. You move instantly, shutting the machine down as she starts falling. Before she hits the ground you catch her, but she keeps her eyes shut for a few seconds after, waiting for the impact that isn’t coming. She gets curious after a second, opening one eye.

“Boo!” you say simply.
“WAAAAH!!” she shouts in surprise, leaping back from you startled. You laugh at her surprise, her pouting for a moment then leaping and tackling you with a shout. You play along, her knocking you onto your back.

“Ha I wi-waaaaah!” she starts, you rolling on your side and she couldn’t maintain her balance, falling over.
“Tag.” you say, touching her on the forehead then leaping back.
“I’mma get you!” she shouts, blasting towards you. You play tag with her for at least an hour, your daughter wearing herself out to the point she collapses. You take her from the chamber, carrying your now-sleeping daughter and tucking her into bed. Once she’s tucked in, you decide that you’ll go check up on Broly, he should be out by now.

“Good.” you reply, carrying him back to bed and contemplating what he said. You knew your daughter means a lot to him, but him losing control worries you. What would happen if he-? No. She’s always been able to reign him in when he went mad before, it seems she’s the only one who’s able to get through to him when he’s lost control. But that doubt sits there in the back of your mind, a worry that won’t go away.

The last week of your trip continues much like the rest, with a few changes. Every morning you wake to find Meloka already up and training, and you start helping Bardock control his Super Saiyan power instead of trying to attain it. However, a week isn’t much time, and soon enough its the day of your triumphant return to New Salda. Your ship touches down on the Guardian’s Island, everyone disembarking down the ramp together. That is, until you see who’s waiting at the bottom.

“Greetings, General Karn. Meloka, King Vegeta.” Freeza says, smiling up to you all. “Quite good to see you again.”
“Greetings Lord Freeza.” you reply, giving him a proper Saiyan salute, everyone behind you copying you. Everyone, except for one.

“That’s right.” you say impressed as Vegeta finishes his transformation. He’s standing still before Freeza, lightning dancing excitedly around his aura.
“This is it, Lord Freeza.” he says, the crackle of electricity accentuating his words. “I’m ready when you are.”

“Impressive, King Vegeta.” Freeza says, giving him a small applause. “This strength is impressive, much more than I was expecting from you. I just may enjoy this. SHAAAAAAAA!!!”

Freeza’s power explodes, his aura blindingly bright as he transforms, forcing you all to shield your eyes. Almost as quickly as it happened, its over, Freeza floating in his final form.

“Now, King Vegeta, let us begin!” he says, gesturing for Vegeta to make the first move. Which he does, the king exploding forward at the emperor.

“Can he win?” Broly asks you, you turning to look at the boy.
“Can he?” Chaya asks as well, watching Vegeta and Freeza clash. “Who gonna win?”

“RRRAAAAAAA!!” Vegeta shouts, slamming his fist into Freeza’s and kicking up a massive shockwave. The force catches you off guard, having been focused on the kids. You’re blown back a bit, Chaya flying off of your shoulders. Without a thought you twist, catching her by the foot before she gets blown away. She looks startled, but when she sees you holding onto her she smiles at you. You pull her close, holding her to your chest as you turn back to the battle. Vegeta and Freeza are trading blows at incredible speeds, at your current level you can’t even keep up with their battle. With a short moment of focus you transform into a Super Saiyan, sensing Meloka and Turles doing the same. You also sense Bardock and his family taking off, not sitting around and watching the fight.

“Their loss.” you think to yourself, as the battle heats up.
“HYAAAA!!” Vegeta roars, firing blasts from his fingertip in a cross between the Death Beam and his usual barrage of attacks. “HYAA! HYAA HYAA HYAA HYAA!!”
“Shyaaaa!!” Freeza shouts, a pink sphere coalescing around him. Wait is that-?
“No way.” Meloka says. “Isn’t that your Barrier technique?”
“Yeah...” you reply, impressed. Freeza clearly learned how to do it from the Guardian, the emperor smirking at Vegeta from inside the sphere.

“Tch!” Vegeta replies, flaring his aura and blitzing right at Freeza. He drops the barrier, crossing his arms casually at Vegeta’s approach. Vegeta roars and swings at Freeza’s head, and just before he punches him you feel something odd. Vegeta hits him! Or, not? Vegeta punches through Freeza, the image of the emperor distorting and fading. You’re all startled, Freeza suddenly appearing behind Vegeta and wrapping his tail around the king’s throat. “Wh-Wha-?”

What he would have said is interrupted, Freeza’s tail tightening around his throat as he punches the king once, twice, three times in the back. Vegeta coughs up blood, reaching up and trying to pry Freeza’s tail off his neck. But its no use, Freeza is simply too strong. Vegeta struggles for a few more moments, then his transformation fades, hair returning to black. Freeza releases him, Nappa springing forward and catching the unconscious king.

“He... hurt... him....!” Broly says, floating forward slowly and flashing up to a Super Saiyan. But he doesn’t stop there, his strength rising rapidly. Oh, this could be bad.

“If you would.” you reply. “I have a hard time keeping his power in check. Last time I had to max out the Gravity Chamber to stop him.”
“Interesting.” Freeza replies, taking his usual stance with his arms spread wide and calling out to Broly. “You there, you wish to challenge the mighty Lord Freeza? Very well. I’ll oblige you, and let you witness firsthand the true power I possess!”
“Broly, he’ll be your training partner today, okay?” you think to the boy, unsure if he can even hear you or not.

“RRRAAAAAAAA!!” Broly roars as his transformation completes, floating still before Freeza with his menacing green aura.
“So it seems you do possess that same transformation.” Freeza says haughtily. “Very well then boy, show me what you’re capable of!”

Broly roars and charges Freeza, actually managing to knock the emperor back on his first attack, recklessly pursuing him.

“Daddy, is Bro-ee gonna be otay?” Chaya asks, wiggling around to turn and face you.
“He’ll be-“ you start, another roar from broly and a massive shockwave that knocks you all back a bit interrupting you. “He’ll be fine. Freeza won’t hurt him too bad.”

As if on cue, Freeza is sent flying back towards you, you holding Chaya out to the side with your right and catching Freeza with your body and left arm.

“Why than-“ Freeza starts, interrupted by Broly rocketing forward and planting his fist in Freeza’s gut. The impact is fierce, sending you both flying back uncontrollably. You released Chaya, you and Freeza getting launched away by yourselves. “He’s rather strong, isn’t he?”
“That he is.” you say through gritted teeth, again clutching your gut.
“Since you’ve been drawn into this little scrap, care to join in on subduing him? Or would you rather handle him yourself, or leave it to me?”

“Let’s do it together.” you say, focusing your power and Ascending with a shout.
“I’ve had to deal with him going berserk twice on the ship in the past few months. You have no idea how nerve wracking it is trying to teach him to control this incredible power in the confines of the ship. He messed the both of us up pretty bad when I had to restrain him the first time.”
“Oh? Well then you’d better be careful. I expect to face you as well before I leave.” Freeza says as Broly roars and charges again. He dashes at Freeza first, the emperor twisting with a move from the Su Ma, but enhancing the move with a tail slap to the back of Broly’s head. It doesn’t do much, but it sends him further away and gives you both more time to prepare. Broly roars in frustration, rushing Freeza again. But this time you’re ready, grabbing Broly’s foot before he rushes completely past you.

“HAAA!” you shout, twisting and tossing the boy aside. He recovers quickly, flipping and blasting headlong at you. You cross your arms, blocking the massive force of his punch with both arms. You can’t mitigate it all, his punch sending you flying backwards. Freeza rushes past you, taking advantage of the opening. He plants a hard punch to Broly’s gut, the strike winding the young Super Saiyan. All his thoughts of attacking are forgotten, crossing his arms over his stomach in pain. Freeza’s hit struck true, after a few seconds Broly’s green glow fades, hair returning to normal and the boy drops like a stone. You react immediately, flying to the boy and catching him in your arms. You anxiously watch him a few seconds, sighing out in relief when you see his chest rise and fall from his unconscious body taking a breath.

“BRO-EE!!” Chaya shouts panicked, flying over to you. You turn to her as she flies up, trying to calm her down.
“He’s fine Chaya, he’s just sleeping.” you say, holding him with one hand and putting her other on his chest. She feels the rise and fall of his breathing, looking curiously to you. “See? I told you he’ll be fine.”
“Meloka, can you come get him?” you think to her before she floats over and takes him from you. Chaya grabs onto her as well, Meloka quickly flying back down to the ship.

“Well, that wasn’t quite what I was expecting.” Freeza says, crossing his arms. “I won’t lie and say I’m not a little disappointed. You’d better be more entertaining than that, Karn. I’ve been waiting for this for quite awhile now.”
“Oh don’t worry Lord Freeza.” you reply, the two of you drifting apart and facing each other. “I won’t go down that easily.”
“We’ll see about that.” Freeza says, smiling at you then shouting and flaring his aura, the both of you rushing right at each other.

“SHAAAAAAA!!”

Frieza's already done way more training than he ever did in canon before super, which is to say none whatsoever.

It's not just the techniques he learned on new salda, he took karn's advice during the ginyu fight and actually trained to be able to sustain and get used to his final form, which is why it surprised me to see him in his first form when we got here.

Two major possibilities that i can see at a glance
1. He still can't maintain his final form constantly, even in a relaxed state
2. Something about his final form causes a mental disturbance, like ascended, which was interfering with his ability to meditate and/or learn certain techniques
3. He kept breaking his wine glasses

That was somewhat of a revelation to Freeza. He’d never seen power lose before, and Meloka had made it look easy despite the difference in power between her and Ginyu’s new body.
Both 1 and a bit of 3. Just because he can hold onto a form roughly 113 times stronger than his first form much, much easier than before, it doesn’t mean he can avoid eventually tiring himself out or breaking everything he touches in that form.
