After almost two months since you had been ‘cursed’ with your powers, things were finally looking like they’d be going back to normal for at least a little while. Spring Break had come that meant that the annual camping trip that you, Harry and a number of friends partook in since you were kids. Zipping up your camping bag you can’t help but be more excited than usual for one reason and one reason only; Peter was coming back home.

Peter Parker had truly been the heart and soul of your friends circle ever since elementary school. Whereas Harry was drawn to you because you were both geeky kids, Peter had always been an everyman. Sporty and athletic enough to get on the good side of the jocks, adventurous and courageous in the way that made the girls swoon, but at heart he was the sort of guy that would love playing Dungeons and Dragons and talking about comic books like you.

But perhaps his most endearing trait was his Heart of Gold, and when the jocks tried to draw the line he stood with you guys.

It was thanks to him that while you were incredibly anxious around the kids you had grown up you still had a sense of humor, let alone the confidence to have spoken to Raven at the party. Just like Harry he was a brother by everything but blood, and finally after five years he was coming back to Jump for the very same camping trip that:

It was the very same camping trip that your bond had transcended that of normal friendship. The event was still fresh in your mind, seeing your tent in ruins and your bags contents scattered all over the park grounds. Harry was furious and ready for a fight, but you could see that just like you there were tears running down his face. Peter however…

You had never seen him so angry in the time you had known him.

He didn’t say a word, silently picking up every article of clothing and folding it before placing it in his tent. You had thought that that had been the end of it, with Peter ushring the two of you into his tent; However when you woke up the morning the campground was in absolute chaos. Every manner of garment was hanging from a number of trees, people had been shuffled around from their tents to other places, and Flash by far was the worst; Having been sent out afloat on the lake in nothing but what appeared to be one of the Cheerleaders bikini bottoms.

Everyone had been affected except curiously enough those of you that were in Peter’s tent.

It was obvious who and what had occurred but no one said anything, there was no need for words. There was a line and they had crossed it and paid for it in a way befitting the crime; Though even to this day he refused to tell you just how he had done it in one night. While it had been a long time since the relative peace he brought with his actions you couldn’t help but smile knowing he’d be around for at least a few days. Throwing your pack over your shoulder you quickly rush down the stairs before bumping by accident into your Uncle Ben.

“Woah, woah there sport!” He exclaims with a chuckle “We got plenty of time before the plane comes in.” He says with a smile. “Excited huh?”

“You know it.” You say with a chuckle.

I didn’t plan for lucifer at an airport (then again I don’t do much planning), but I suppose if there’s a place that’s hell on earth it’s a busy terminal.
>>
>>2472861

Sorry for the delay, I am sick and exhausted; I tried to go to sleep but my Girlfriend and My usual assistant ended up watching the “Scoobynatural” Crossover Special.

The plan was simple, your Uncle would drive you to the airport arrivals terminal, you’d meet up with Peter and Harry would show up with a chauffeur to take you all to the campsite. Wolfing down a quick breakfast you check your phone to see if either Harry or Peter had gotten back to you about any changes and a text from an unknown number. You hesitate to open it given that it might be who knows what and you almost smack yourself. There were only three people who knew your identity beyond Alexander White and that was The Titans, The League and Felicia.

Opening the message you can’t help but give a slight smile.

‘Hopin this is the right number, Alex. You have NO idea how hard it has been to get someone to give me your digits.’

Raven, it had to be. You hadn’t seen her since the party, which was understandable given the fact that you went to two different schools and all that. The fact that she had gone out of her way to try and hunt down your number was surprising in ways you weren't sure how to process. Was it just you, or were you becoming popular or something?

>Do you respond to the text?
>A. Not now, you had to get going to the airport.
>B. Let her know she got it right but tell her you’d message her when you were free
>C. Who can say it’s really her? It might be people trying to take advantage of your friendship

‘Well we did promise to eventually hang out again, oh Mistress of Mystery.’ You type back before slipping your phone in your pocket.

Feeling your phone vibrate you are tempted to pick it back up, but with a yell from your Uncle that it was time to get going puts that on hold. All but jumping down the stairs you quickly toss your bag into the back seat before going shotgun. You have the strange feeling that you had forgotten something but giving a quick glance over your bag you were sure it was just paranoia. With the rumble of the engine and the light ‘push’ as it peels away into the street you pull your phone out and sure enough you’ve got a text from the number Raven sent you.

‘Well what do you know, it only took six different numbers to finally get a hold of you. How’s it hanging?’

‘Pretty good actually, on my way to the airport to pick up a friend.’ You quickly reply before adding ‘I probably won’t have cell service in a bit but we really do need to hang out at some point’

Quickly adding her name into your phone you can’t help but snort. Raven Darkholme complained about having to constantly insist she and the Titan were seperate people, and yet now in your phone they were right next to each other. It once again put things in perspective for you, that in this double life you had set forward for yourself you were bound to meet all sorts of folks; Metahuman and not. It’s something you’d have to look into dealing with in the future, but…

What would that future be?

Hey guys, I just thought of something. It might be a bit spoiler-y so there's your warning.

I was kinda bummed that Raven from the Titans and Raven from the party we're the same person, so there's no Mystique. But what if she IS Mystique? Or Mystique's daughter? Like maybe her mom in this universe had the X gene, or is in fact THE X-Men Mystique who was part of or undercover in the Trigon cult. And that would make her REAL form basically like Mystique but with red skin and four eyes, and she keeps this secret even from the Titans.
>>
>>2474953
Well to answer the question, Mystique does exist, as do a few others; However if they are under the name you think they are it will probably not be the case.
>>
>>2474514

It was surprising how loaded that question was, given its initially simple definition. Before you woke up as Spider-Man it was simple: get through high school, go to college and get a job. But now there was so much more; Sure there was still highschool and college, but now there was all the perks and drawbacks of being in a game of mystical chess where the stake was losing your life or not.

And Uncle Ben said he was jealous of being able to goof around at my age, if only he knew.

Getting back to the topic at hand there were a number of things you knew that at the moment you would like to accomplish. First and second were the current major hurdles in the coming months: the Spider War and High School. While certainly the former was more dangerous to your overall health you were still a junior and could not simply drop out, after all the work and effort your aunt and uncle had put in to make sure you went to a good school you wouldn’t betray that.

At least not this year.

You had a theory that there was an education program or education acceleration program for heroes, given that the titans did not go to any form of educational facility and were still (mostly) intelligent. With that in mind there was the chance you could do something similar and get out of senior year. If so then you’d better able to work with the very team that Superman had given you.

And that was something you wanted to have undivided attention for.

While you wouldn’t lie and say it had nothing to do with a desire to impress the Man or Steel, you had put the idea forward yourself and you wanted to see it work. And while you had a passing acquaintance with two of the members you still had yet to meet the other half. And that in of itself was not a good start for a ‘leader’.

As for the far future, the one thing you knew for certain was that you wouldn’t jump immediately into the whole further education scene. Technically speaking you already were a superhero, which operated in this strange grey area between public and private servant of the government. And being in the League you in THEORY had pay, though how you got it you weren’t sure. However it meant that the need to go beyond what you knew was a secondary, as you already had secured employment. Was your pay tax exem-

You felt old even cutting the sentence off.

Hm, we should probably see about trying to locate the other totems. We’ve got two, Felicia’s got one, and Carnage has one, which means there’s two still at large. Going off the way things have been looking so far, they’re probably somewhere in Jump city. Do we know if we all got the totems at the same time, or have they been sent out over time? Should see if we can chat with that Celestial Emissary or whatever about it.
>>
>>2475854
Felicia's 'Cat' Totem isn't one of this. Rather look at it like this, There are Six Spider Totems. We have two, Carnage has one and there are three more out there.

Totem is a universal term for 'individuals who have been imbued with powers that are drawn or based off of those in the animal kingdom'

there's a lot to chew on there...but hey, you're pretty good.

You are roused from your thoughts and the realization of just what you had forgotten. Looking down at your wrist it was evident that your watch was not there. While to most this wouldn’t be a huge issue but this watch was special, probably more special than any other you had ever seen. As within the unassuming sportswatch was a communications system that linked to similar watches that each member of the Young Justice initiative were given. With a few button presses you could send out a call and they would (in theory) respond.

But would it really be a big deal on this trip? Probably not.

You’re finally jared from your thoughts when you feel the slight decline to the arrivals of the airport. Looking up you see that sure enough the branches of overpasses and ramps were all around you, with the myriad of cars like ants crawling along. It was jarring, to think that who knows how long ago you were surrounded by the many small apartment buildings and even Moe’s Pizza and yet in all your internalizing you hadn't noticed the change. It was for the best however as sure enough you see one message from Peter about five minutes earlier with two words:

‘I’m home.’

The moment Uncle Ben pulls over you give your goodbye before giving him a hug and grabbing your bag. Stepping through the automatic doors you find yourself in the baggage claim, whole herds of people shuffling about to get their belongings. You had never been on a plane before, and the thought of trusting your clothing and such things in the hands of some faceless employees worried you. Looking at the arrivals table you see that Peter’s plane from New York was going to carousel 5 and so looking both ways you head:

Taking a right you are surprised as you plow straight into someone. While two months ago you wouldn’t blink an eye at this, you had a seemingly omnipresent warning system in your head that would have prevented this; But it hadn’t, hence the surprise. Hearing the clatter of a case of some kind you’re snapped out of your shock, and you start to look over the gentlemen you had bumped into.

Dressed to the nines in a full grey suit it was certainly a...unique style. Add to that the deep blond hair and glistening amber eyes and it felt like there was a clear attempt to hide, to make himself seem normal.

“Careful kid, you have any idea what’s in that briefcase? Because I bet your soul you don’t.” The man says, his voice the kind that of smoothness akin to what scotch might feel like.

“Considering I’d only able to bet half that seems unfair.” You mutter under your breath.

That seems to peak his interest, however it may just be he thinks it’s a joke like you intended.

“Is that so, well then how about this?” He asks, retrieving what seems to be an ordinary quarter from his pocket. “Heads and I’ll show you what’s in the case, tails and we’ll just leave it at that.” He says with amusement.

“If it’ll make up for bumping into you, fine.” You answer, extending a hand out to the man to seal the deal.

The moment his hand touches yours you feel what you can only describe as a bolt of fire shoot from your palm up your arm and into your forehead. It doesn’t hurt, but the heat is very much there and it seems that the stranger is equally surprised. Though the surprise goes away just as quickly as it appeared and with a shake he takes a step back and with a flick of his hand the coin goes skyward.

Time seems to stop as it tumbles through the air and for some unknown reason a sense of dread washes over you; Why did you feel so worried over a coin flip? Whatever your fears were they are cut off as it lands once more on his hand, which he quickly covers.

“Heads or Tails, Mr. White?” He asks with a smile.

“Heads.” You answer, only afterwards realizing he knew your name...how did he know your name?

Before you can ask the man this he uncovers the coin and reveals that it is in fact, heads. It seems that the man is surprised by this result, but instead of anger he simply laughs a warm, hearty laugh.

“Well, well, It looks like you get to see my little joke gift.” He says, picking up the case in his arms. There is a pair of ‘thunks’ as he unlatches the locks and with a flourish the case is opened to reveal…

A...Solid Gold Violin?

(Cont)
>>
>>2478017

“Wait a minute...A Golden Fiddle? Like the song?” You ask, raising an eyebrow.

The man nods.

“Yep.” He answers “I just got back from Atlanta and I figured I’d pick up a gag gift for well...a paramour of mine.” He explains.

You chuckle. “Of course, of Course; Because you’re the Devil.” You say with a roll of you eyes.

The man grins and after setting the case down he places the quarter between his fingers it bursts into flame. When the flames finally recede what appears to be an obsidian black business card which he extends out to you. In your shock you take it your hands and read the gold engraved information.

‘Lucifer Morningstar, Owner of the Lux Piano Bar and once King of Hell.’ In addition there is an address in Los Angeles and presumably the bar’s phone number. Turning the card over however you find something more...troubling.

“Is...this what I think it is?” You ask, trying not to look the literal Devil in the eye.

“It is.” He answers with a nod.

“...Why?” You ask.

“Because you won fair and square; Well that and I do so love meddling in that old bugs plans.” He says, his voice growing more mischievous by the end.

Looking up at the man you realize something startling; Time didn’t seem to stop, it had stopped.

There was no questioning then that the man before you was none other than Lucifer, fallen angel; And looking back down at the script on the back of the card it really made you wondered what bad luck you had to have that these various entities were interfering in your life. Like the front of the card it was made from pure golden filigree and the words were very clear.

‘You’re an interesting one, Mr. White; I owe you one. If you ever want to make a deal, call me.’ and below it was a phone number that could only have been a joke.

This was...what?

Looking up the man was gone and around you was the bustle and noise of the airport filling your senses. There was no mistaking that you had just met the person that all your life was told to be red skinned with horns, yet sure enough he ran a bar and got a gag gift of solid gold. You almost want to say you were hallucinating but the card that you slipped into your wallet was very real. You’d have to talk to someone later about that, but with your hopefully single bizarre event for the weekend out of the way Peter was waiting.

Breaking into a slight jog you quickly move down the carousels and find Peter leaning against a nearby column, his small suitcase beside him.

You think for a moment that you might sneak up on him but he turns to you, his hazel eyes locking onto your grey ones and almost immediately he’s moving towards you. However ‘moving’ seems like an understatement since it was more akin to a run. Opening your arms you brace yourself as he collides into you, his taller frame dwarfing yours in a hug.

A laugh overcomes him as he steps back, crossing his arms and eyeing you as if to apprise how you’d changed over the years; And after a moment what he says surprises you.

“You know buddy, after Harry sent me that video of you turning Flash into a human dodgeball target I thought he was joking. But you really did fill out after what? Ten years?”

“Yeah well, we’ve got you acting like a Gym Class Bruce Lee and I’ve got the strong man thing goin on, but where’s harry. Isn’t he meeting us here?” Peter asks.

“Yeah, he should be around here somewhere with our ride.” You answer before pulling out your phone. Almost as if expected a text shows up saying ‘I’m at the Gate B Garage :)’.

“Gate B apparently.” You answer and he nods, grabbing his bag before giving you a smirk.

“Care for a race?”

You barely are able to figure out what direction you’re supposed to start even running in when you hear Peter’s suitcase Rolling away as he takes off. You thankfully had the advantage of only having a backpack and run after him. Barely making it through the automatic doors before they close, you have to put a bit of your enhanced speed behind your step to not get stuck waiting even a few seconds.

You manage to catch up to him at the side walk, the two of you watching the cars pass in the hopes of finding an opening.

“Not bad, not bad at all. I remember when you couldn’t even jog from our tent to the bathrooms.” He says on the exhale, jokingly shoving you to get a better view.

You shrug “Puberty man, does amazing things.”

He gives you a sagely nod “Like when I got la-.”

Whatever he was going to say was cut off as both of you saw the opening and once more the race was on!

With the element of surprise gone you manage to take the lead, using your speed and lower overall weight you manage to make a small bit of distance, however after a couple seconds of enjoying the fact that you were now faster than one of your best friends you realize that this was wrong. You could beat him effortlessly, but that would give disturb the balance of your friendship. He had to win, and that meant that you had to take a dive.

As you make it to the staircase you stumble slightly, forcing yourself to trip on one of the landings and as you get to your feet you watch Peter laugh and continue up unabated. Getting to your feet you keep it to a slight jog and by the time you reach the aforementioned garage level a minute had passed.

By the time you finally find the black sedan with the Ozcorp logo emblazoned on the back Peter has already put his suitcase in the back and embracing Harry. Slowing to a walk close by Peter gives you a concerned look before turning to you.

“You alright buddy? I shoulda been more concerned that you fell back there.” He says honestly with a frown.

You wave him off. “It was a race Pete, no big deal. Besides, I’ve had worse hits from Flash.” You say.

He nods, however before you could pick back up the conversation Harry drapes his arms over both of your shoulders, though for him it’s more akin to hanging off of Peter and putting the weight on you.

“Boys, boys, we can catch up in the car; Besides I wanna get there before nightfall!” He says with a smile.

Harry was of course right, and so after quickly tossing your bag in the trunk you all quickly pile in and with a nod to the chauffeur you were on your way. It was almost as if nothing had changed as the twisting and turning roads of the airports various entrance and exits turned into the long and winding straight of the highway. It was simply incredible at how quickly the trio of you had gotten back into your antics.

Catching up with Peter had been an interesting experience. Apparently after moving to New York he had ended up really coming into his own. Freshman year he started dating some girl named Janet van Dyne. From the way he put it she was like the hybrid of Gwen’s body, Felicia’s confidence and his brain. Though from there of course came a talk that you were afraid he’d bring up.

“So what about you boys? Any Girls you’re interested in?” He asks with a grin.

>Well?

You’re unsure how to go forward, however before you can stop yourself you start talking.

“Well…”

You quickly cover your mouth but it's too late and you can see Harry joining Peter in a wide grin.

“‘Well’ What Casanova? Did you manage to seduce some girl into something?” Peter asks. “I told you guys about Jannet after all.” He adds for leverage.

“Yeah Pete, you didn’t even TELL me that you met a girl, let alone one who was interested in you.” Harry interjects, insulted.

You sigh, cursing your mouth for speaking faster than your brain. You had hopped to not bring this story up, as if you were honest you and Raven were only friends; Personal thoughts on the matter aside. You yourself didn’t really know what to think of the mysterious and beautiful girl, and as you think on that you realize that perhaps this might be the thing you would need to get some sort of answer.

You sigh before getting into the meat of the story.

“So, a couple weeks back there was a party at Flashes and well and I sort of got invited.” You explain, rolling your eyes as they try to figure out how THAT had happened. You brush it aside however and push on.

“And you know me, I’m about as social as a grain of sand. So I basically booze myself up with a cup or two of jungle juice, take one for the road and tried to find a comfortable place to just ride it out; Make something out of the night you know?” You ask, getting a pair of nods.

“And that’s where I met Raven.”

“You mean the TITAN?” Flash asks, and you can’t fight the chuckle.

“No no, not that Raven; Though she did say that she gets that alot. That being said she just sort of showed up and we hit it off almost immediately.” You continue and from there you go on to describe the closeness the two of you shared both on the porch and the roof. The two of them were quite, thought Peter was interestingly the one to ask you:

“So, how do you feel about her? Because hearing all this I can only guess what that overthinking brain of yours has been mulling over.”

>Well? (Write in) ‘Note: If you can’t think of an answer that makes sense ‘I don’t know’ works ‘

You are quiet for what is probably just long enough to give Peter some kind of idea. When you finally speak up it sounds as conflicted as you probably were.

“Well Pete, I don’t know. You’ve known me since we were kids; I’ve never been good with talking to people, doubly so for girls. For the first time I think in my life I got to enjoy not being some sort of social outcast and you know what? It was great!” You say, face scrunching in frustration to find the right words. “I guess if I had to give an answer based on what I know? Yeah, I really wanna see her again. So..maybe I like her? I guess? I don’t know.” You answer honestly and the quiet that overcomes the car is surprising.

Was it really so insightful or was it something else?

After a moment Peter is the first to break the silence with a chuckle before patting you on the shoulder. You try and make sense of the wizened smirk he gives you as you look at him, but when he speaks up it clicks, sort of.

“You know, for being what might be the world’s only professional wallflower but when you finally speak up you seem to know exactly how to say something. A year or two ago if you asked me about how I thought about Jannet I’d have said something that walked around the point but never addressed it; If you asked me a few months ago I’d say something like you just told me. Yet low and behold out the gate you sort of know, if not understand. Now, the only question is what are you gonna do about it?”

>Well, what’s your response?
>>
>>2482419
I guess I'll try calling her once we get back from this trip, see what happens.

“Well, I told her I’d be away for the weekend so she hasn’t been texting me bu-” You start but Harry once more interrupts.

“Dude what? You have her number but you aren’t texting her because you want to ‘have time with the guys?’ That’s a big nono, friends or not. Just text her, just promise if you get anything juicy you’ll tell us.” Harry insists, jabbing you in the shoulder before Peter swats him away.

“While I won’t ask for any of that, because I’ve got standards he does have a point. Avoiding her doesn’t make you cool, just makes you look silly; Besides ‘cool and mysterious’ doesn’t suit you no matter how much Grey Ghost you watched as a kid.” He says with a chuckle, and you can feel your embarrassment rise up.

“L-look I’ve never done this Pete, I don’t wanna mess it up!” You exclaim and he nods.

“And we’re trying to help you, just go on and text the girl. Get to know her some more.” He says with a nod.

From there it turns to grilling Harry for who he’s crushing on which reveals what both you and Peter already knew. He had been infatuated with Gwen Stacy since you were in grade school and of course he was always intimidated by her, if not her smarts then her beauty. While you didn’t have much to add it is certainly amusing to watch Peter tease the boy. While he did eventually start giving the Osborne Heir some real advice you began doing what Peter had advised and started to text Raven.

This ends up becoming the usual routine for you and your friends, chatting and jamming out to music while intermittently broken up by texting the alluring Raven. By the time you finally arrive at the campsite it was just around 4 p.m and after grabbing your bags you watch the car pull away Peter smirks.

“Boys, let’s go to work.”

“No Way…” Peter mutters and you can’t help but feel equally surprised and worried as you see a number of faces you hadn’t expected.

Flash, Felicia, Mary Jane, hell it was almost as if the whole junior class had shown up.

“Harry, did you tell anyone about me coming back?” Peter asks as the trio of you duck out of sight.

He shakes his head. “The only person I told anything was Gwen, and that was only that I was going camping. Do you think she put it all together?” he whispers.

“I don’t know, but we’re gonna have to roll with it. Besides, we aren’t kids anymore; If they try anything they’ll get a lot worse than their clothes scattered about.” He replies, and you feel at least slightly more reassured.

“You know, considering it’s thanks to his drunk ass that I ended up meeting Raven I should probably thank him.” You say sarcastically.

“You got a good point there, pal. Should we thank him personally huh?” He asks with a grin.

Before you can ask what his plan is you feel one of his arms take your wrist and all but drag you towards the self-imposed leader of the jocks, ordering Harry to watch the bags. By the time you cross the surprisingly crowded campgrounds Flash is on his knees hammering in one of the posts for his tent. The closer you get the more hushed conversations seem to stop as you and Peter continue on; It seems that there was no mistaking Peter’s return, and by the time you get to their camp it appears a small crowd has flocked to watch the interaction.

“Hey, why are you all crowding around I need the-” Flash starts, cutting himself off before getting to his feet and glaring at you.

“The hell are you doing here Whitey?” He asks and before you can answer Peter cuts in.

“Well, we were making it a five year reunion but hey if you wanna go take a nap out on the lake again I’m sure it’ll be a fun memory.” He says cracking his knuckles.

That seems to slow Flash’s roll and he backs down, at least a tiny bit. Hearing the name Peter you see Mary Jane, Felicia and a number of the other girls seem to pop out from behind to tent to watch on. You can tell that Flash is furious and somewhere between livid and afraid. So it seems it's a good a time as any to say your piece.

“You know Flash, thanks for the invite to the party. Though honestly, you’re not the best host considering I spent most the night on your roof.” You say with a slight smirk.

“Oh laugh it up Whitey, you think your safe just because Parker is back?” He asks with a snarl.

You look at Flash for a hard second, then the untamed wilderness around you. Now that you were Spider-Man what used to be simply a couple of trees you could hide behind, they were now perches and places to strike from. If Peter was able to do everything he did when you were kids without powers and a LOT less strength…

There was a lot of potential.

Just the thought of webbing up flash by his ankles and leaving him strung up in a G-string sends you into a fit of laughter. Flash clearly doesn’t like that you went from scrutinizing him to laughing and so gets to his feet and shoves you to make you stop.

“What’s so funny? Think I don’t know about you and your boyfriend?” He asks, getting a few very short chuckles from the crowd before their cut off; No doubt due to a glare from Peter.

The comment however does make you stop laughing, though not out of embarrassment. Before you can even stop yourself the ever contentious mouth you picked up from your galavanting as Spider-Man flared up.

“My boyfriend huh? Look Flash I don’t know what lies you tell yourself, but when you have a bunch of pretty girls around you at a secluded camp with every opportunity to ‘make some magic’; And you instead perk up the moment I show up? Isn’t that a bit more...telling of who you’d rather play hide the sausage with?” You taunt.

“Why you Son of a-!” Flash yells out, lunging forward with his fist cocked back.

You can hear Peter among the crowd laughing at the implication and know he won’t come to your aid; But thanks to your Spider Sense you wouldn’t need any. Leaning back you watch his fist glide just past your head, chuckling to yourself all the while. By the time you turn to face him again he lashes out with a punch and again you decide to give him a bit of a display, catching it with minimal effort.

The crowd gasps and you finally speak up as Flash tries to pull his hand free.

“Let me make something clear to you Eugene. The Principal and Coach Gargan aren't here to protect you from getting pranked or knocked down a peg. The reason I was laughing was because I thought of a great way to get payback if you were actually thinking of doing something again.” You start, letting go of his fist as he finally seems to be listening.

“And sure I’m a nerd, I’m a geek, but you know what? I can think of plenty of ways to make you the laughing stock of this campground. If you thought I was gonna let you treat everywhere I go like it’s high school I’ve got some bad news for you; I’m not stuck at camp with you, you’re stuck at camp with me.” You finish before giving a sideways glance to Peter.

“Hope you packed the whoopie cushions.”

Once the crowd dispersed enough for you and Peter to make your way back to Harry you quickly take the opportunity, with Pete not far behind. You only make it a good fifty feet however before your taller companion speaks up.

“Someone’s been watching ‘Taken’ a bit too much recently.” He says with a grin.

You blush slightly, stuffing your already shaking hands in your pockets.

“What can I say? Let’s just call it’s exposure therapy.” You say, looking up to the sky.

“Has it really been that bad?” He asks.

You sigh.

“Pete, you never had to deal with this.” You tell him flatly.

“But st-“

You cut him off. “And Harry is rich, so they don’t do anything too bad and at least treat him as a person. But me? Tell me Pete what do I have that could possibly make me a smaller target? What is there for me to do that wouldn’t make me just as bad as Flash?”

That seems to take Peter by surprise and for a moment you feel your anxiety be matched by guilt. Before you got your powers Peter and Harry were probably the only two people outside your Aunt and Uncle who didn’t treat you like a stepping stone. Even now they were probably the only two people who you could confide anything in, but it didn’t change one painful fact: That when it came to the mistreatment by Flash and his goons you stood alone.

“I had figured he would’ve grown up by now.” Peter says once he composes himself.

“I honestly wish he would, I’m sick of being everyone’s punching bag.” You admit.

“But why don’t you? If you’ve got half the strength you just showed just now you could just sock’em and move on.” He asks.

“If this was just him and I, mano y mano, sure I could do that. But this is highschool and sadly he’s the superstar Quarterback and I’m some expendable nobody. Say I do win this fight, what’ll stop him and his goons from coming at me all at once? I won’t have you here to back me up and sure as shit they’ll break something. And even if I were to somehow win if he gets more than a bruise i’m getting suspended because again; Superstar Quarterback.” you sigh.

“Do you really think they’d do that?” He asks and you nod.

You go to speak up but after seeing Harry futility fighting with one of the tents you put it on hold, the two of you helping him out while Pete teases him about having to do the same thing the last time you had gone camping. Once you’ve made sure Harry isn’t going to choke himself on the fabric you continue your story.

“My Uncle told me a story once you know, back when he was in Nam. He said that when they transferred him to the 1st Cavalry Division he was one of the first guys in rappeling actions from helicopters. At first he hated it, because it didn’t make sense to not just land the helicopter and have a whole platoon go in instead of a small squad. He got so angry at it that he even ended up going to his commanding officer, some guy by the name of General Ross. The two of them were apparently at each other's throats but my Uncle backed down once the General gave his reasoning. And it was very simple: You can have a big a stick as you want, but sometimes it isn’t about having a stick; It’s about ensuring you don’t have to use it.”

“But don’t have a stick like that Alex.” Peter states.

You sigh.

“You’re right, I don’t, but you know what? They don’t know that.” You promise and the two of you start to laugh.

The next two hours pass in a blur as the trio of you setup your tents and get settled in. After a quick phone call to your Aunt and Uncle you hear your tent open and Peter pops his head in.

“Pete, grab a tube sock and tie it on your arm and get out here.” He says

“Why?” You ask, confused.

“Because it’s almost night time and Flash got a game of manhunt going, you in?” Peter tells you, and you feel your face break out in a smile.

You haven’t played a good game of Manhunt since you were a kid, and now with your powers you could turn this game into a cakewalk. The only question now was would you go all out or not?

“You know it.” You say, quickly fetching the required tube sock and tying it tight around your arm.

“You do realize that Flash might be planning something, right?” Peter says, and you nod.

“Doesn’t mean I won’t make the best of it.” You respond with a grin.

Stepping out into the setting sun you see a sizable group of maybe thirty or forty people, many if not all of them from your high school. By the time that you and Peter join the group it swells to maybe sixty people and almost as if signaled by your arrival Flash steps out of his tent, flanked by four of his mooks. While you weren’t worried about the red bandana’s on each of their heads the glint of mischief in their eyes certainly was.

“Alright folks, rules are simple, you get five minutes to scatter and then me and the boys here are gonna start hunting you all down. Now get going!” Flash yells, and you feel that energy of excitement and playful fun explode as you make a run for:

You make a Beeline for the treeline, counting the seconds it takes as the crowd around you disperses in every direction. Ignoring the slight tickle of the tall grass against your legs you continue deeper into the woods. After maybe a minute of running you stop and make sure that the coast is clear. Once you were sure you were all but alone you set your plan into action.

Finding a tree with large branches and plentiful in leaves you slowly begin the climb up. You knew you could easily just rush up and get into hiding but you didn’t want any onlookers to get suspicious. Another forty seconds and you’re golden, hidden away in the canopy a good fifteen to twenty feet up. Pressing your back to the trunk you sigh and set yourself up to wait, seeing as there was little else to do.

Forty minutes passed and they were surprisingly quiet, spending most of the time watching the sun slowly set in the distance. This was certainly good for you, as the dark only benefited you in staying out of sight. However you were now stuck in a tree and it was starting to become chilly as the warmth of the sun departed. Though as they say, ‘Night was the other half of life, and the better half.’

And oh what a night it would end up being.

Shivering slightly at a cold breeze you’re dismayed that the unintentional shiver quickly turned to an intentional one as the slight purr that made its way through your ears, and the words that drip into your ears like molten wax.

“Why tiger, isn’t this just a coincidence.”

Only one person ever called you that.

“Oh uh, hi Felicia.” You say with a tightness in your voice.

It was no secret that the odd ‘friendship’ between you and her had been in a weird place since the party. On the one hand you had been all but immediately abandoned by the girl for her to do, who knows what; And on the other she had been quiet when you were out of costume when you were in it she was very...physical. Now however, away from prying eyes and costumes out of the way you had a feeling things were going to...escalate.

You are roused from this thought by a bolt of warmth as one of her fingers drags itself down your arm.

“What’s wrong Alex, cold?” She asks and looking up at her you can feel the grin on her face.

“K-kind of.” you answer and you’re rewarded for your ‘no shit sherlock’ answer with something you had truly not expected.

Because slowly, almost predatorial in her movements Felicia crawls down the tree and settles herself by straddling your hips. If you had been praying for it to end there there was no answer as she presses up against you. While yes it was certainly warmer than being in the cold your body was reacting in a way that if left unchecked may be...dangerous.

“Mmmmm Why’d you never tell me you were so comfortable, web-head?” She asks.

“I uh...I don’t thing you ever asked.” You say, and you can feel your fists clench.

“What’s the matter Tiger, I don’t bite, unless you want me to.”

“I...don’t know, I’ve only have one other person really say something similar and they aren’t here right now.” You answer honestly and that seems to slow her down.

“Maybe so, but still, your comfy.” She says with a sigh before realizing what you had said.

“Wait someone else? Who? Who?” She asks, looking up at you with her bright green eyes.

“Oh its uh...nothing. Just a girl I met at the party?” You answer.

That seems to surprise her as you sits up slightly, and it takes effort not to look down at her shirt and what lay beneath it. Instead she seems, you aren’t sure; Somewhere between upset, frustrated and scheming. The heck was going on?

“Who was it, anyone I’d know? She asks.

You shrug. “Not anyone from our school if that helps, but that brings up a good point and you decide to ask about it.

“What about you, weren’t you going to stick with me? I saw you go off with some jock.” You ask, and you feel that rising almost acidic bubble of bitterness rise up in your stomach.

You had ignored such things, mostly because you had forgotten them due to the rather intoxicating evening you had shared with Raven. However remembering the fact now there was no honeyed companionship from the girl you had then, you had the girl responsible for that feeling before you.

It seemed evident that she had not expected you to see her, let alone call her out on it; Given that she was suddenly tense on top of you.

“I uh, sort of got a drink and then two more and then well…” She says and you feel that bitterness turn to anger.

“So you take me to this party as an attempt to make me slip out of my shell and just abandon me? That’s one hell of a strategy there Felicia.” You say.

She goes to speak but you easily pick her up and set her on the branch beside you.

“I’m not Flash or his goons sure, but just because I’m the bottom of the ladder in school doesn’t mean I’m desperate.” You say hotly before jumping from the branch and into the dark, ignoring the shout behind you.

Getting back to the ground you ignore the continued yelling, making use of your speed and dexterity to clear a few hundred feet before coming to a halt. If had been dark two stories up it was now pitch black on the ground and it was only thanks to your spider sense that you didn’t stumble as you ran. Though now that you had come to a halt there were a strange sense of serenity, probably due to the fact that no one else was around.

It was nice, and just watching the fireflies flash and flutter around the woods.

And that is when you noticed something; Something that takes the nice and serene wood and twists it in such a way that you felt your hairs stand on end. There was no sound, no animals, no buzzing cicadas, nothing. It was as if all life in the area had vacated, all except you.

You hated to go for a cliche but it was quiet; Too quiet.

“I thought I smelled a totem on you, boy. Come come, get to your feet. Or do you want to die there on your stomach like a coward?” A voice taunts, thick with an accent you can only denote as ‘European’

Getting to your feet you scan the trees, the grass, everything. But there’s no one around, and judging from the direction the dart came from he was-

BEHIND!

Jumping up into the tree you hang on tight as it shakes from the impact of something large and fast smacking into it. Looking down you’re rather surprised at what you see, seeing that he was somewhere between a walking hunter’s trophy room and 80’s movie action hero. Clad in a leopard skin vest, khaki utility pants, boots and even a loincloth belt.

And he was looking up at you with what you could only call bloodlust.

“Good, good. You’ve got instincts in you.” He all but purrs, drawing a machete from his back. “I might just have a worthy hunt on my hands.” He continues, crouching slightly before launching himself straight up at you, his blade cocked back and ready to strike.

Shit!

Diving off the tree you were on you shoot a web away, looking back to see the man come down where you were. His machete carving a chunk out of the tree, you’re about to land and face him but he’s already leapt off and is after you! Letting go of your webline you fire off a series of small web balls at him in the hopes of slowing him down.

You watch equal parts amazed and horrified to find that he simply cuts through the few balls that get in his way. Landing on the branch you had been previously aiming for you’re immediately forced to flip away yet again as he is cuts it away, the hunters hand buried in to keep him aloft. Just what was this guy made of?

“Come now, spider; You bore me. Where is your spine? Where is your will to live? Or will you simply keep running?” He taunts, landing across from you.

You groan internally; Of course you forgot your watch at home.

Tugging the tube sock off of your arm you look at the man incredulously, not that he could see your face.

“Sorry there Jumanji, but it’s hard to take you seriously when it looks like you’re wearing Cheetah’s hairballs on your chest.” You taunt before firing off another web ball, trailing it close behind by a strand of web.

The hope was that if he would cut the ball you could catch his wrist, though that immediately backfires when he simply leaps over the ball and begins to sprint towards you; And damn fast at that. You’ve barely retracted your wrist from firing when he’s almost on top of you and you’re forced to go on the defensive. Ducking beneath the first swipe of his machete you rely mostly on your spider senses to avoid the deadly weapon. Once you finally find an opening in a wide swipe of his you land a trio of rapid fire punches to his abdomen before cocking back with a super-powered haymaker.

You’re satisfied when you feel him go airborne but it seems even your haymaker did little to the madman, as once he lands you see that he isn’t pained; If anything he seems excited.

“Good, good you have fight!” He exclaims, throwing his arms wide. “Kraven is going to enjoy stealing your power.” He promises you before coming at you again with his machete.

>You’re gonna need a bit more firepower, the question is what Kind of firepower?
>A. Use a fraction of your super strength, the man took that punch; Using it period wouldn’t hurt
>B.Draw the Blade of the Mother, at least you’d be able to match his blade with one of your own

Does Kraven have some sort of touching power I’m unaware of? I thought he was just strong fast and well trained. Or is it some special power he got from his special DC totem?

I want to hit him with a punch, but with most of our strength behind it. Aim for his center of mass, so we probably don’t kill him, and hopefully he’ll go down like a sack of potatoes. He’s a tough sonuvabitch, he should be able to take one of our stronger punches.

That machete was a problem, and given the fact that he was faster than you were meant you needed at least something to stop the damn thing.

With that in mind you reach behind you, feeling the same cold spot you had the last time you called upon whatever shadowy realm your weapons came from. Grabbing a hold of the hilt you knew was there you drag the blade free, brining it in front of you. The man doesn’t seem as surprised as you had thought, but he certainly had not expected it.

“That’s not a knife, Dundee. THIS is a knife.” you say, twisting the blade in your hand.

You had very little experience with the damn thing, given that Robin prefered working on your hand to hand skills before even trying to give you something more dangerous; But this ‘Kraven’ guy didn’t know that. You also had the advantage that the blade was practically weightless, though you weren’t sure if that was due to your strength or the nature of the weapon. You don’t have time to find out though as your spider sense once again goes off.

In an instant you turn the blade, catching the blade with the flat of your own only a scant few inches from your body. Pushing the blow away you attempt to go for a downward strike but are just as quickly parried, worse still he starts to slide his blade down yours forcing you to roll back. Getting to your feet he doesn’t pursue, instead eying you with a chuckle.

“It may be a sword but you have no idea how to use it, do you?” he taunts.

You go to open your mouth to response, but with you focused on your response you barely start to bring your blade up in time to block his strike. In your rush you put the blade past where the impact would be and with a tinge of pain you drop the blade, the back of your hand cut by his machete. Immediately on the defensive you attempt to pull back only to find yourself rooted in place; And looking down at your cut hand you realize he had dropped his blade and grabbed you!

And he was pulling you closer.

You go to try and break the grapple but a blow to your chest stops you and the brief moment you were free passes you by as he wraps his surprisingly strong hand around your throat. You bring your hands to encompass his, trying to pry his fingers off of your windpipe though you hear him chuckle.

“You are good prey Spider-Man, most fun I have had since my last prey. Allow me to give you gift no?” He asks, forcing you closer to the man as he leans in towards your ear.

“This was from last prey a snake totem. Had a particular venom that made prey bloodthirsty, tired them out with a long hunt and then feasted. Let us see what it does to you, eh?” He asks and as you struggle harder you feel two sharp pricks that slowly become like burning talons in your collar.

And then you feel it.

If you had to describe it it was as if molten hot razor blades were now spreading through your veins and as you scream out you don’t feel yourself hit the ground; Your muscles spasming and tensing rapidly as the venom continues to spread. Yet just as quick as the pain spreads it is replaced with a warmth, the kind of boiling warmth you had only felt once before. It was the same blinding rage you had tasted when you had fought the other spider totem. And you hold to that thought with every ounce of willpower you have and try and force it back.

You manage to get to your knees, gripping the wound and doing what you can to force the boiling tide of fury down enough to think clearly. It seems Kraven does not like the particular fact that you aren’t just becoming a foaming at the mouth madman and thusly kicks you square in the chest and forcing you onto your back. Letting out a wheeze as the air is pushed from your lungs the hunter glares down at you.

“I give you this gift and you refuse to use it? Was I wrong about your ferocity or are you just a coward?” He snarls, however before you can give any sort of response he suddenly recoils as if punched and is sent flying back into a tree.

However after a few seconds you see exactly what it is that caused it.

Before your eyes you see a figure appear from seemingly out of thin air, though you know that isn’t the case because the literally grow from a center point. After a second they tower over you and they are clearly male given the broad shoulders and musculature, and the voice. A voice that after a moment sounds very familiar to you.

“I thought I heard a scream around here; Never thought it was from you Spider-Man. What brings you this far out?” He asks, before cutting you off.

“One moment.”

In a second he vanishes and before you can get to your feet he reappears before craven, bringing a devastating airborne roundhouse kick sending him further into the woods. By the time you get up the strange man returns.

“Get ready, I don’t know how much time I’ve bought but we need to come up with a plan.” He says.

You knew that voice, sure it was far more serious than you were used to but the fact remained. Even as you held onto what little calm you could you couldn’t mistake the voice of Peter Parker for anyone. With that said you look to him and without even thinking say:

“He’s got poison Pete, Careful.” You say and you watch the man physically tense at your words.

“What?” He asks and you realize that while you might have known who who he was, it did not work both ways.

“Tighty Whitey.” You say in as calm a tone as you can, though in retrospect it probably sounded like perhaps the stupidest thing you could say.

Regardless its clear after a moment that he understands what you mean and gives a chuckle.

“We’re gonna need to talk about this later. But get ready, here he comes!”

“You go low I’ll go high.” He says and you nod, and when your Spider Sense goes of you have no hesitation, bringing your arms up to stop a bearhug.

Forcing his arms back you step back just in time for you to see a small dot you can only presume is Peter dart up from the ground and deal an uppercut and knocking the man back. Following the ‘go low’ order you cross the scant distance between you and Kraven before landing a palm strike. You tense yourself in preparation for a counter attack but it never comes thanks to a full sized Peter coming down with a heel kick.

Or at least that was the plan before Kraven caught his leg and threw him aside.

“You’ve got a lot of nerve interfering in my hunt.” The Hunter Snarls though after a moment he grins “No matter. This will make it a challenge; Maybe enough to let loose.” He says before jumping back.

Following his trajectory he lands up in a tree before retrieving a small amber vial and what little part of you is still rational realizes that it can’t be good.

WHY SATAN????
>>
>>2487846

You rush forward, springing into the air to stop him but it's too late. You watch in silent fear as the man pops the cork off the concoction and downs it in a single gulp. No matter, even if you were too late to stop it but maybe if you caught him off guard it wouldn’t matter.

Slingshotting off a pair of webs you tuck yourself, hoping to gather up enough momentum to just knock him out cold. However when your blow seems to connect it’s like hitting granite and upon opening your eyes you see why. Kraven has managed to not only stop your kick but did so with one hand. Suddenly your vision is turned upside down as you are hoisted up by your ankle so that the Hunter can look you in the Eye...er, mask.

There is a feral, almost hungry look as he squeezes down tighter on your ankle forcing a grunt of pain out of you. This seems to be what he wanted to see before throwing you seemingly effortlessly, though it feels like you were being hurtling through the gravitron on its highest setting. That almost enjoyable sensation however is quickly ended when with a loud crack you feel every nerve in your body light up. Finally coming to a stop five seconds later you realise that that crack and impact was in fact a tree.

Lovely.

Slowly getting to your feet you see that Kraven has jumped down from his perch and is in the middle of fighting peter. At first it seems Peter is managing to hold is own but as you get to your knees you find that isn’t the case as soon enough he’s slapped away and lands right beside you. Watching the seemingly giant hunter stands in the distance, walking towards the two of you.

“We need a plan, Pete; And fast.” You say, grunting as you feel the soreness in your ribs spark up.

“I’ve got a crazy plan, but it might work.” You say quickly, looking at him.

“You still keep some kinda crazy strength while your small right?” You ask, getting a nod.

“What about it?.”

“I’m going to throw you. While you're shrunk down and you’re gonna hit him like a bullet.” You say with a grin.

Opening a hand out to him he looks at you like you’re nuts but shrugs and you watch as he slowly sinks down. After a moment you see a small reddish black dot in your palm and you can guess with confidence that it’s Peter. Looking up however you see Kraven is still getting closer and you needed to make this shot count. And that meant potentially doing something stupid, and after a moment you know exactly what you’re gonna do.

Leaping up into the treeline you start to swing and circle the hunter, who seems more than happy to stand their; Waiting for you to strike.

Good, that’s what you were counting on. Grabbing a branch and ripping it free from the tree you were on you leap down, a cry on your lips as you swing it down at the man. It would do nothing but that wasn’t the point of it; Rather that it would blind him just long enough to make it work. Watching the branch dance in front of his face you cock your arm back and throw it forward, releasing your secret payload before firing a web into the canopy and swinging away.

“What’s the matter Spider? Do you really think such tactics will b-” Kraven starts, but is cut off by a shout of pain as you watch his face ripple and he is sent rocketing back and into a tree; It’s trunk cracking with the impact.

He was down but not out.

You had to finish this now and while you still could and so you come back around, building up momentum as you swing and dart through the trees until you’re almost at Kraven. He’s still getting to his feet as you come in for the final stretch. Firing of a pair of webs you pull yourself with all your might, you let go and speed towards the man like a rocket. You can’t help but feel a tingle of pleasure as you feel your heels slam into his chest, sending both of you through the tree and stopping only once you hit the one behind it.

Falling limp onto your back you panting, the venom no doubt doing its work as you feel your muscles go slack; Their weight like lead. Craning your neck you try to see through the dust of the tree you had plough through but nothing is there. At least it didn’t LOOK like anything was there, but hearing the slight crack of wood and grunting you feel your chest lock up.

There’s no way after a hit like that he was still gonna keep fighting, was there?

Slowly dragging yourself back you are prepared to put what energy you’ve got into moving away but the sounds begin to fade into the woods. You stay still for who knows how long in the case that he might still be present. But when Peter finally comes over and extends a hand to you you realize the coast is clear.

“You look like you rolled in a pile of sawdust” He says with a chuckle, only for you to groan in response.

“You didn’t get a love bite by a vaguely european manhunter.” You reply, making your way to where you had dropped the Sword of the Mother when you realize he had left his machete.

Interesting…

>A. Take it as a trophy, plus maybe you could find out exactly who the hell this guy was
>B. Destroy it, don’t want any of the kids getting their hands on a machete
>C. Leave it, no point in taking it.
>D. Other.

It'd be nice to have a weapon that doesn't explicitly eat our self control to use.

That'll learn him not to ambush you.

"What would your Aunt May say about you bringing a machete home."
"Well she found out about my powers when Raven, yes the Teen Titans Raven, teleported us into my kitchen. So I don't think she'll make too much of a fuss."

Gives us something to practice with that isn’t sort of part of our body.

D. Take it, but leave it somewhere that the other campers won't be able to find it or get to it.

Storing the Mother’s Blade away you pick up the machete and note immediately the weight near the head of the blade. It made sense in a way, considering its wielder used the damn thing as carving weapon. You had no way to share the damn thing but that wasn’t the more pressing matter.

It was the stare you could feel on your back.

Turning to look at the teen he had already somehow gotten out of his costume, and it turned out you were correct. Beneath the seemingly metallic helmet was none other than Peter Parker, and after a moment you decide to do the same and in a flash your Te’mak is gone.

“So…”

“So….”

“How long has…’This’ been going on?” Peter asks and you chuckle.
“About two months...You?”

“About a year…”

“Ah…” You reply before going quiet.

The silence goes on for awhile before Peter starts to chuckle, followed quickly by you. In minutes you’re both clutched onto each other laughing your heads off as it sinks in just what the two of you had just done. You don’t know how long it takes for the two of you to recompose yourself but eventually the two start to try and figure out how to get back to camp; All the while chatting about your stories.

“You sure bringing that thing home will be a good idea? Like won’t Aunt May flip her lid?” He asks.

You chuckle.

“If she didn’t know about my whole side job then yeah. But that whole ‘secret identity’ thing went out the window the moment Raven teleported me into my kitchen while she was making dinner.” You reply.

“You mean the Titan?” He asks with a raised eyebrow and you nod.

Reaching to your back you pull out your Titans Communicator and give him a nod.

“Yep, I’m actually an honorary mem..ber. Why are you looking at me like that?” You ask.

“You have a Titan’s Communicator?” he says flatly.

“Uh-huh.”

“You’ve had it the whole time?” He continues.

“I guess.” You reply, the metal gears starting to turn and when it finally hits you you gently slam your forehead into the device.

“So you forgot we could call in backup and just fought a guy who could have killed us?” He says with mock anger.

“Would it help if I told you that I thought I forgot it at home along with my watch?” You ask meekly, chuckling to yourself.

>What do you do?
>A. May as well call the Titans and give them a heads up
>B. Kraven was still out there, Have them inform the league
>C. Don’t call, there was no point now.

Flicking the communicator open you call your mask back and hit the comm dial. It takes a few seconds but after a moment the domino masked face of Robin looking back at you.

“Spider-Man, I had thought that you away from Jump. What’s up.” He asks.

“Trouble of the metahuman variety.” You answer.

“Anything immediate?” Robin says, his casual tone replaced with a far more serious one.

“Well it's the Palomar Campgrounds and he’s somewhere out in the wild. That and I got poisoned so I think we’re okay, maybe?” You say before going into further detail on the events of your...encounter.

“We?” He asks.

“Long story, look just figured I’d call it in since it took a rather hard gambit to beat him we might need back up if he comes back.” You tell him, looking at pete and getting a nod.

“Well I’ll put the word out to the league and we’ll be in transit if more immediate response is needed.” He answers

“You uh, sure that’s a good plan. You guys kind of...stand out.” You say with a raised eyebrow.

He gives you a grin.

“Don’t worry about that, just keep your eyes peeled.” He says before hanging up.

Well then, that went...well?

“He’s just like his mentor.” Peter chimes in with a chuckle and you give him a glance as you once more lose the mask.

“He’s usually more laid back when you know, his teammate doesn’t call in about a machete wielding psycho.” You point out and he shrugs..

“Still, what do you think he meant by ‘keep your eyes peeled?’” He asks you.

You answer as honestly as you can.

“I don’t know, but something tells me this isn’t over. Not by a longshot.”
