Also, the very specific thing about legendary pokemon is that they're only known about through myths/legends, most are constantly talked about with skepticism in the games and anime.

Being serious here, how come? I mean it's not like we're stealing Fevine straight out of the arms of a waiting 10 year old or anything. Besides this is a quest - since there's direct anon participation there should be room for a little flexbility in the choices here and there. If I wanted everything to go by the established rules of the pokemon verse I would have just played the games or read a fanfic or something.

I’m mostly concerned about him being caught be Seb in particular, since their compatibility seems rather poor. Fevine is intelligent, but timid, and would do best with a patient, supportive trainer. While Seb didn’t seem cruel or anything, he wasn’t exactly encouraging or cheering on his Pokémon during the battle. I doubt he’d have much patience for Fevine’s cautious streak.
