Welcome back, subprocessors. Last time, we penetrated deeper into the crashed starship and discovered some rudimentary facts about its purpose and downfall. Logs available here: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/qstarchive/2207933/

The Indiana class stores the Torpedo Core (temporary designation) in one of the small containers you included for exactly this purpose. You'll recover the item on mission completion; for now, however, you must complete your exploration of the ship.

Taking care to step over the strange, pseudo-organic substance that has seeped from the torpedo, you return to the corridor junction from which you came. There are the same four options:

>Left, and back to the cafeteria area from which you just came
>Right
>Downwards, towards a slightly increased heat signature
>Back to your main body

Low priority alert, subprocessors: we are not currently producing anything, and only have one project active. Recommend adding to this queue. Options may be found here: https://pastebin.com/edit/Nw5SX7XP

Just joined recently, can I get a link to threads 1-3 and the discord as well? I can't seem to find the first 3 and the discord link in the other threads are expired.

>Downwards

The Indiana creeps down the incline, sweeping for threats as it treads. No reason to rush, and blundering into a trap would severely damage exploration/recovery efforts.

It's barely perceptible, but there's a roughly 3e10^-5 degree increase in temperature for every meter you travel. As the ground flattens, you see why:

A door hangs open, a corpse preventing it from closing fully. This one's armor is different; manipulators extend from it, terminating in claws, tools, and, in one case, a

mag weapon. Above, on the side of the door, its access panel reads: "LOCKOUT ENGAGED" followed by an error message about a door blockage.

Progress is blocked; the door is too heavy for the Indiana to brute-force. The body is the only thing keeping it open. The drone cannot proceed without opening the door or moving the body. You have multiple options:

Keep it as intact as possible. Its structure might be important to something.

You grab the corpse by the arms and haul it out of the doorway. As you do, the door whirs to life and slams shut.

You don't know what you expected.

You set the body aside to recover later, and go back to the doorway issue. The door panel no longer reads with the blockage error, but the lockout remains.

You extend the interface arm of the Indiana, and jack into the port beneath the access panel...

You try the simple option first: Your own ID. You don't expect it to work, but best to be...

sure?

The door slides open.

You step into the room, casting your gaze about.

This room is the second largest you've seen on the ship (after the cargo hold). Its ceiling reaches high, like a cathedral, and, in the center of many work stations, tool cabinets, and more, lies the center of this place's worship: a [ERROR FILE LOST] power source. It is similar to your own; however, this is a single large plant while yours is a six-core system of smaller cores.

Aside from this, the room contains a server bank, a rack of tools, three workstations, and two Imp-class construction drones!

Wrapping the thread. We'll examine the core in the next one.

Go forth and conquer.
