Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After defeating Dr. Nefarious and watching Kvir’s moon explode, you and Meloka had accepted Towa’s mission. You both met with your daughter from the future, the three of you traveling with Towa and Mira to planet Namek to again confront Nefarious and the Big Gete Star. Fighting your way through the defenses, you again faced down Future Trunks, nearly killing him with a single attack before leaving him to another of Towa’s minions. Fighting through, you’d again reconnected your mind with the Big Gete Star’s computer, aiding Towa in accessing hidden information.

With that completed, you then encountered a team of Time Patrollers, forcing you and Meloka on the defensive until Future Chaya’d returned from her fight with Ace, the three of you finishing them and Trunks with a Family Final Flash. With the battle won, you’d all returned to Towa’s lab victorious. Towa put you under for awhile, removing Nefarious’ programming from your brain. Upon awakening you’d thanked Towa and said your goodbyes, Towa returning you and Meloka to your own time. Youand Meloka were both exhausted after the fighting you’d both done. As we rejoin Karn, you’re just waking up after a night’s rest.

“Mrrrmmm.” you groan out, sore from yesterday’s fighting. That’s rather odd, usually you’re not this sore after a battle. Must have been from using that demonic ki Towa’s given you the ability to tap into. Without opening your eyes, you ponder that as you sense for the energies of everyone around you. You of course feel Meloka’s strength right beside you, as well as Chaya and Broly’s from their bed. Surprisingly you sense another presence in the bed with them. Eyes snapping open as you sit up, you see Bardock’s kid Kakarot laying sprawled out on the bed like Chaya, the two almost mirrors of each other. You relax quite a bit at that, half-thought worries disappearing as quick as they’d formed. Well, you’re certainly awake now, you doubt you’d be able to go back to sleep.

Remembering what Meloka’d said to you before about enjoying moments like this, you force yourself to roll over towards her, wrapping an arm over her and pulling her close to you. She sleepily mumbles for a second or two, then suddenly you feel her entire body tense up, a sharp hiss escaping her throat.

“Meloka? What’s wrong?” you quietly ask, worried. She remains tensed up for another minute or so, tension rising higher and higher until finally she sighs out and her body relaxes. “Meloka?”
“I’m fine, I’m fine.” she says quickly, leaning up and kissing you. “Just wasn’t ready for that. We won yesterday, didn’t we? Then why does everything hurt like we lost?”
“So you feel it too?” you ask, picking her up and placing her on your chest then continuing. “I don’t really know. But I have one guess.”
“Towa?” she asks, to which you nod.
“Towa.” you reply. “More specific, that power up she gave us. All that power had to come from somewhere.”
“Yeah...” she says, then lays her head on your chest. “Mmmm.”

You don’t say anything else, Meloka humming contentedly on your chest, your arms wrapped loosely around her. You both remain like this for several minutes, enjoying the peace and quiet, and each other’s company. This is nice.

Instead of getting started with your day, you instead remain there with Meloka, enjoying the peace and quiet. She lays on your chest content, the occasional spasm running through either your muscles or hers. Next time you use that power, you need to be a bit more careful. Regardless, you enjoy the quiet moment with her, you shutting your eyes in contentment as Meloka hums happily. For several minutes you both remain like this, until you hear it.

“MOMMA! DADDY!” Chaya shouts, launching herself at the two of you. Acting quick, you roll Meloka off of you, raising a hand and snatching Chaya from the air. She hits your outstretched hand with quite a bit of force, your entire arm lighting up as if its on fire. You control your expression as best as you can, eye twitching.
“Morning kiddo.” you say as if nothing’s wrong. “Sleep good?”
“Mmmhmm!” she says excitedly, forcing her way down between you and Meloka.
“Did you have fun with Raditz and Kakarot yesterday?” Meloka asks her, your daughter rolling over to her.
“Uh-huh!” she says excitedly. “Radis a jerk, bu Karot’s nice!”
“Oh?” you ask, curious. “What happened?”

“Radis was bein’ mean.” Chaya says, pouting a bit, then her face lights up. “But Bro-ee wen’ bwaaaa and kick Radis butt!”
“Oh really?” you ask, raising an eyebrow at Meloka, her shrugging in response. “Then what happened?”
“Uhh, I don’ ‘member.” she says happily after a moment. You chuckle to yourself and pull Meloka close to you, sandwiching Chaya between you both. She giggles, wiggling a bit to get comfortable then settling down between the two of you, shutting her eyes and curling up between you two. You enjoy these peaceful moments with most of your family you’ve made present. This is what you’re fighting for, why you push yourself to be the best. You look at Meloka, her smiling at your daughter’s happy face. This is why, this is what you fight for.

Closing your eyes as well, you first think to Meloka and tell her what you’re doing, then focus and think to Lord Freeza.

“Freeza, can you hear me?” you ask.
“Ah yes hello Karn.” Freeza replies smoothly. “Perfect timing. I was about to send a call to your ship. We’ve recieved some rather troubling news here. I take it this ‘Dr. Nefarious’ has been destroyed?”
“Of course Lord Freeza.” you reply. “He took the planet with him though.”
“Oh well, that’s not a particularly big loss.” Freeza says, then you can almost feel his frown. “However, I’ve recieved rather troubling information regarding you. It is a list of instructions with commands for how to incapacitate you with words alone. Care to explain this?”
“Yeah, that’s simple.” you reply. “When the Big Gete Star attacked New Salda and my mind connected to it, Nefarious put a bunch of commands into my mind to turn me into his loyal slave.”
“The fact that you’re telling me this would suggest that you’ve somehow found a way to mitigate the damage this information could cause?” he asks you.
“Of course.” you reply. “I did a quick mission for Towa, and in return she went in and removed those commands from my mind. They no longer work now.”
“Must have been a quick mission.” Freeza replies skeptically. “It hasn’t even been a whole day from when you arrived on Kvir’s moon.”

“She’s a time traveler.” you reply. “Meloka and I got sent to a planet called Namek or something like that, quite a bit into the future, then we got to destroy another Big Gete Star.”
“Another?” Freeza asks. “There’s more than one?”
“Not anymore.” you reply. “We blew it to hell where it belongs.”
“As expected.” Freeza replies. “One more matter you should be aware of before I take my leave. Sorbet’s forces have picked up movements from the West Quadrant which are deeply troubling. The Covenant have begun mobilizing more and more soldiers to their borders, and seem to be gearing up for battle. The Tamaraneans have been preparing as well, sharing a border with the Covenant they no doubt are worried of a potential invasion. Battle with the Covenant may soon begin again, so prepare yourself.”
“I will Lord Freeza.” you reply, Freeza ending communications.

“Well?” Meloka asks you.
“Covenant’s gearing up for war.” you reply, Chaya looking back and forth between the both of you confused. “The Tamaraneans are gearing up as well, worried the Covenant will invade them first.”
“That’s no good.” she says, you seeing the gears turning in her mind. “Alright, guess its time to get to work.”

That said, you both get up and start getting dressed, Chaya waking Broly and Kakarot and the three of them dressing as well then rushing off to the Mess Hall. Once you’re all ready, the first thing you do is-

You and Meloka follow the kids, their laughter from further ahead bringing a smile to your faces as you both walk to the Mess Hall. On the way, you had an idea, so you decided to share it.

“How about we get ours to go?” you ask, Meloka looking confused at you.
“Whaa?” she asks, confused. “Go where?”
“Go training.” you reply. “We can eat as we work out.”
“Uhh sure?” she says, confused.

That decided, you both walk into the Mess Hall and look around, seeing Chaya, Broly, and Kakarot already digging in.

“Well well, look who’s here!” Silver shouts from the back, hobbling out to the counter. “Jim, bring theirs on out!”
“Yes sir!” the boy shouts, running out with a massive platter and hands it to Meloka, running back and getting one for you as well.
“Thanks Silver!” you reply, carrying them towards the door. “We’re taking ours to go, we’ll bring the platters back.”

He looks completely confused, unable to respond before you both’ve left the Mess Hall. Carrying your full platters and snacking on the way, you both soon enter the empty Gravity Chamber.

“Alright, let’s get to work.” you say, the both of you diving in. You don’t turn the gravity up yet, taking this time to try and work the stiffness out of your bodies. You both push yourselves to move, despite not changing the gravity you’re both soon sweating from the exertion. After perhaps twenty or so minutes you both take a break, food gone and panting in exhaustion.

“So-Something’s wrong.” Meloka huffs out, trying to catch her breath.
“Ye-Yeah.” you reply, feeling the strain in your entire body. “Maybe it’ll fix itself if we push ourselves just a little more?”
“Let-Let’s try it.” Meloka says, you pushing yourselves to your feet, you walking over to the Gravity Chamber’s control panel. Time to take it up a notch.

You crank the gravity controls up, adjusting the room straight to 30x New Salda’s gravity. For a moment everything is still, then it hits you. The force of the intensifies gravity slams you to your hands and knees, you barely avoiding falling flat on your face. You don’t know why, but the pressure is almost unbelievably intense. You struggle to push yourself to your feet, looking to Meloka and seeing her straining as well. What is wrong with you? You shut your eyes and focus on feeling your ki moving throughout your body. You sense it flowing throughout your body, and notice the problem almost immediately. Where the seal is on your hand is acting like a void, drawing your ki down into it and disappearing. Focusing on the flow of ki throughout your hand, you redirect it around that bottomless void, restoring the proper flow of ki throughout your body. The effect is almost instantaneous, with your ki no longer being constantly drained you’re able to stand. Looking over to Meloka, it seems she’s figured it out as well and has risen to her feet.

“That’s, well, interesting.” you say, looking down at your hand. “It seems it was drawing on our power.”
“I’m guessing we used too much power then.” she replies, stretching out and bouncing on her feet. “I wonder...HAAAAA!!”

With a shout Meloka flared up to a Super Saiyan, then closed her eyes. Suddenly you feel her energy plummeting, yet she remains a Super Saiyan. You raise your eyebrow as she sighs out, opening her eyes and looking over to you.

“It seems it works as a Super Saiyan.” Meloka says. It doesn’t take enough energy to leave you weak and helpless like this.”

Well, what now?

“RRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” you shout, digging into that golden well of power. Pulling deep, you focus and pull more and more power up from the depths, transforming into your Ascended Super Saiyan state. You sigh out then close your eyes, lightning crackling around your aura as you focus on your ki. Again you redirect the flow of your ki, now sending the vast majority of it down into that void, keeping some bacj for yourself. After a few moments your strength normalizes, roughly on par with Meloka’s. Opening your eyes, she’s looking at you with a mischievous smile on her face.

“Showoff.” she says jokingly, you both laughing at that then drop into your stances. Between the enhanced gravity and the drain on your strengths, neither of you is anywhere near full power. But this is just perfect for training. With a shout you both launch yourselves at each other, right fists crashing together. You and Meloka grin at each other as you both push, neither of you able to push the other back. Pushing yourselves back away from each other, you and Meloka flip back, kicking off the walls and slamming into each other and clashing. Fists and feet, and elbows and knees fly, both of you attacking and blocking as fast as you can. You hold nothing back, swinging and blocking as fast as you can. For what feels like a few hours you and Meloka clash over and over again, until you both collapse, unable to continue.

“Gi-Give up y-yet?” you pant out, again on your hands and knees, unable to rise.
“Come o-over here and ma-make me.” she replies, you both laughing a bit before she collapses, transforming back down to her base form. You’re about to as well, but before you do you focus on your ki and stop pouring your strength into the seal, keeping your strength for yourself and transforming back down to your base. After a moment or two of your ki balancing out, you’re able to somewhat easily rise and shut the Gravity Chamber down. That done, you turn to pick Meloka up, but she surprises you and sits up on her own.

“Well, that was fun.” she says, pushing herself back up to her feet and rolling her right shoulder. “I dunno about you, but I feel better now.”
“Same here.” you reply, throwing an arm over her shoulder and you both walking out.
“So what now?” she asks you, the door shutting behind you both. “We’ve still got 4 months before we get back home. What kinda training you planning on doing?”

“Before we decide, we should check up on everyone first.” you say, Meloka floating up onto your shoulders as you turn towards medical. After the short walk there the door opens, and you’re not really surprised to see Bardock’s already up and moving, adjusting his right gauntlet as he looks up and sees you both.

“Karn. Meloka.” he says, nodding once to each of you, then taking his scouter from a very happy looking Gine and putting it on. “Thanks for getting them out.”
“Of course.” you reply. “We don’t leave anyone behind.”
“That’s right.” Meloka says. “But how did you know where Nefarious was hiding?”
“We didn’t.” Gine says, then relents a bit. “A demon appeared on our ship, told us where you were going to be then vanished.”
“A demon?” you ask, a sneaking suspicion forming in your mind. “Blue skin, red skintight suit?”
“Yeah, that’s the one.” Bardock says as you and Meloka look to each other, knowing what the other is thinking. “What, do you guys know her?”
“She’s a demon princess, and her name is Towa.” you reply, Bardock and Gine clearly surprised that you actually know her. “She’s saved Meloka a few times now, as well as helping get Nefarious’ nonsense out of my head
“Wait what?” Gine asks, confused.
“Long story.” Meloka says, you both laughing.
“So Bardock, what’s your plan?” you ask him. “I know you went out solo as a mercenary, but what about now?”

You smile proudly at Broly as he changes, looking over at Bardock and enjoying the pure shock on his face. For a second you’re worried, Broly’s eyes completely whited out and snarling. After a moment, however, his eyes turn green, his face relaxing as he sighs out then turns to you.
“Good job Broly.” you say, patting the boy’s head. He smiles up at you, sighing out and letting the power drop. You focus for a moment, finding Chaya’s power, then whispering in his ear which room she’s hiding in. He thanks you and runs off, you turning back to a completely shocked Bardock and Gine.

“This can’t be happening.” he says, the disbelief in his voice evident. “I’d thought I was making good progress on mastering it too.”
“Wait, too?” Vegeta asks, you remembering what he’d said long ago. But your pondering is cut short, as Bardock stands, clenches his fists and roaring out. Despite only transforming into the incomplete form, you’re blown away by the raw power coming off of him. His strength in this imperfect form is just as strong, if not a little stronger than your own Super Saiyan form. He only holds it for a few moments, dropping the transformation and sinking to a knee, catching his breath.

“Damn.” Vegeta says, clearly impressed. He had to have sensed Bardock’s power as well.
“Not bad.” Meloka says. “I was stuck there for awhile, you’ll get it.”
“Karn, we’ve got four months until we get back to New Salda.” Vegeta says, turning to you. “What kind of training are you gonna do?”

With that you walk from the room, Meloka still hanging off your shoulders on your back, heading towards the showers.

“Can you really do it?” Meloka asks you. “Teach him in only four months, that is?”
“We’ll see, won’t we?” you reply, chuckling a bit as Chaya dashes by, being chased by Bardock’s son Kakarot. Following behind both of them is Broly, who you stop for a moment. “Broly, we’ll get back to work tomorrow. But for today, have fun okay?”
“Okay.” he says, nodding to you then taking off after the other two children. You and Meloka get in the showers, cleaning the practice off of each other then getting something to eat. Silver’s culinary skill impresses you as always, then the two of you go to sleep to fully recover your strength. Waking up the next day, you both dive into your own trainings. You take Broly with you into the Gravity Chamber, meeting Bardock in there to start their trainings. Day after day you have both of them transform, working with Broly on controlling his power and Bardock on forcing more and more power out, digging just a bit deeper into that golden well every time. While you have them working on their forms you work on mastering Ascended Super Saiyan while helping them. Month after month passes, with Bardock utilizing more and more power, inching closer and closer to unlocking the full power of a Supet Saiyan.

Three months in, at the start of the new year, you decided to contact Paragus and let him know how Broly’s coming along in his training. For that, you use telepathy, linking Broly’s mind to your own and searching for Paragus’ mind with your own.

“Paragus, can you hear me?” you think, your mind searching for Broly’s father. “Paragus, its me, Karn.”

But nothing happens. No response, nothing. That’s unusual. You decide to contact Tatsu then, maybe he’ll know.

“Tatsu, its me, Karn.” you think to the old man, his immediate response worrying you more.
“Karn, what is it?” he asks, you get the feeling his brows are furrowing in worry.
“Where’s Paragus?” you ask. “I can’t get ahold of him.”
“Paragus?” Tatsu says, waiting a moment before. “Didn’t you know? He was killed by the Big Gete Star.”

You’re unable to say anything, feeling Broly’s mind simply snap.

“Thanks.” you reply, focusing on the raging child.
“RAAAAAA!!” he shouts, this time launching himself right at Bardock.

His power is intense, forcing you to keep giving ground, driving you backward in a circle around the Gravity Chamber. But despite his greatly increased strength, you’re still able to mitigate the damage and hold your own. “Like hell he will!” you shout, launching yourself at the Berserk Saiyan child. You don’t feel like like dying in the void of space today, so you focus your power as you rush. You land beside Broly, placing your hands on his shoulders as your move is readied. Exerting a bit, you create your barrier, trapping both of you inside it.
“Karn!” Meloka shouts, her voice panicked as she runs in the Gravity Chamber. But before she can say anything else, Broly roars and explodes.

Everything becomes light and heat, blasting you with power from all sides. The pressure from Broly’s power are incredible, buffeting you on all sides. An eternity of agony passes in what had to have actuall been only mere moments, but it pushed you right to your limits. Once the light fades, you sink to a knee, seeing that young Broly’s already collapsed, thankfully back in his base form. You pant out a few times, trying to catch your breath, but your strength is gone. You fall forward, unconciousness taking you before you even hit the ground.

I'm more worried about Broly, I feel we should make him our student/apprentice full time. Losing people hurts and Broly will feel alone but he has Karn , Chaya and surprisingly Kakarot all caring for him.

You awaken with a start, warning sirens blaring and rousing you from your sleep. You throw your clothes on quickly and dash for the bridge, shouting to know what’s going on.

“Sir, we’ve been hit.” your pilot says. “An unknown object struck and pierced straight through the ship, we’re going down!”
“Down?” you ask, confused. “Down where?”
“We’re aiming for that planet.” the copilot says, pointing to a little blue ball. “We can land there and make the necessary repairs.”
“Get it done.” you say, flying from the bridge to find everyone and warn them as well. You find them in the Mess Hall surprisingly, eating as if nothing’s happening.

“What are you all doing?” you shout, everyone jumping in surprise. “Brace for impact, wer’e about to-!”

Your ship crashing interrupts you, knocking you all around like pinballs.


“Crash.” you finish weakly once the crash is over. “Everyone alright?”

Everyone confirms as you all untangle yourselves from the pile you all found yourselves in, and make your way outside the ship. The view is surprisingly peaceful, rolling green hills by the ocean, with a few buildings here and there that suggest at least somewhat intelligent life.

“Should we go say hi to the locals?” Meloka asks you. “Maybe they’ll have people who can help fix the ship?”
“Or maybe they’ll be hostile, and attack us on sight.” Turles retorts. “I suggest we stay back and defend the ship, and not go drawing undue attention to ourselves.”

You focus your mind, sensing out for any extraordinary powerlevels on this planet. Your senses reveal most of this planet’s inhabitants are nothing special, however you do sense two standout powers. The closer one isn’t that strong, maybe a few times stronger than the other locals at best. But the other is absolutey terrifying. Its power is absolutely massive, you’re not sure even with everyone at full power that you could even slow it down, much less stop it. Note to self, avoid that. Suitably shaken, you make your way towards the closer powerlevel in the town, wondering what it could be. As you fly closer, you see several, well oddities. But instead of being distracted by the odd sights, you focus your senses on the powerlevels around you, dropping from the air into the town proper. An odd, green vehicle almost slams into you, screeching to a halt, the driver sticking his head out the window.

“Hey buddy what’s the big idea?” a man in a blue suit asks, angrily leaving the vehicle. “Dropping out of the sky like that and standing around in the road? What’s wrong with you?”
“Uhhh...what?” you ask, confused by the short man’s outburst. He looks around, seeing an odd rectangular box.
“Wait here just a moment.” he says, running into it and slamming the door. You simply stand there, dumbfounded. What the hell is going on? The man then leaps from the box, having changed his clothes for some reason.
“With the might of sour prune I become, SOURMAN! Incredibly strong and regular! AHAHAHA feel free to tremble!”
