It's a long look at Honamurei that eventually convinces you to answer. If they think you're lying she'll be branded a necromancer. If they think whatever Thorindel sees is fake, they'll kill you both just to be sure. But... this is going to hurt her so badly, you don't know if you'll be able to live with it. "I'm sorry Hona..." You tell her."V-Vhy are you-""Whatever it is, the creature tore from me the most important facets of who I am. It filtered through them and took from me..." You trail off like a violin without bow."Go on."She'd have to strain her ears for her answer, because you look to Honamurei and almost whisper it. "It took my ability to love... I..." Your cheeks are wet all of a sudden, "I'm so sorry...""Oh." Is the only answer from the Headmistress, her hands sort of hang by the side of the table limply as she watches the ipact of your decision on Honamurei; the troll seeming to shrink a half inch and lose colour in her face."Vait... vait!VAITVAITVAIT! NO!" Honamurei is furious, but... there's no heat or resistance in her, even this steadfast refusal is sounding weak and desperate, "No... You're lying purps! You have to be. Ve are... You are... I..." She backs off, before blistering from the hall at almost full speed yanking the door off it's hinges. The exquisite crafted entrance flies into the room where you step in front of the headmistress to catch it with two flat palms. As the impact drives you back several feet, you hurry to look over the colossal barrier now in front of you. Guards rush in, evidentally she moved too quick for them to track. "Fuck." You say simply. Ice cold needles of shame melt across your body as you watch the blur of her passing and tears begin to form in your eyes. Each one leaving scorching trails down your cheeks."Am I clear to leave?" You eventually manage, turning back to the Headmistress and pushing the barrier away to slam into the office floor. She can't look you in the eyes waving you off; like a force of nature the guards outside part before you as easily as grass before a gale and you're left with the quandry. Slamming your feet into the wall stops your momentum dead, causing your stomach to lurch somehwre eight feet down as you overlook the entirety of the city. You push off with every bit of your strength, shattering and cracking every brick within a twenty foot radius. Your flight is swift and horizontal, carrying you from the imposing tower of learning. Tucking your legs you increase your momentum and lower your profile, starting to plummet downwards and shriek towards the ground like a cannonball. At the last minute, you straighten your legs. The ground ceasing to rush towards you as your feet make contact with a flagpole; the large wooden pillar snapping straight through in an attempt to stop your momentum. You kick off, finding yourself in the centre of the main avenue. Gasps, cries of alarm, even outright screams greet your landing. The circle that forms around you is just wide enough that you can leap on, heading for the North Entrance at as close to your top speed as you can manage in your state. There's a black dot on the wall that you close in on; a small blonde haired figure standing as a sentinel against the outside world atop the gatehouse's roof. Your latest leaps takes you to the wall and you approach, walking upwards. "Vhy did ve even come here?" She seems to be melting into your arms and you feel fire rising inside you. Familiar motions, fingers tracing their way over her stomach up to her chest where they begin unhooking the buttons there."Vha-""Making up for lost time..." You breath heavily in her ear, tugging at her uniform to free the busty shirt beneath but for once there is no reciprocration or enthusiasm as she plants her feet into the tiles and rams her shoulder into your chest. Sliding through the gatehouse roof leaves a trail of shattered slate, but you simply ggigle; "What, do I have to rough you up to have some fun?""Vhat ze fuck!" She roars, a twinge of giant poisoning her words as uch as the bitter tone; "Vhy are you doing zis now?"In response you pout and bite your finger seductively, "Aww are you not in the mood?""Purps." The word growl usually describes a tone of voice from a person, right now? Honamurei is growling like an animal, her entire body shaking as she restrains some deep seated desire, "Vhatever sick fucking game you're playin... I vant no part in it!" There is raw pain all over her body language as she takes a step forward, "I claimed you! You fought back! Vhen I fought I vas beginning to understand! VHEN I VAS JUST GETTING BETTER! "I thought I could-""VHAT I AM IS NOT A WHORE! I DO NOT VARM YOUR BED VHEN YOU ARE BORED!" Honamurei is screaming at you now, loud enough for streets around to hear and wildlife beyond the city to scatter, "Vhat you need to do... is vonder vhat you actually vant..." She sounds small, frail. Visually, Honamurei looks like a single touch from you now would shatter her to pieces. "Vhen... No. If you can love me again. Find me. For now? With an odd Blonde haircut and a large jacket covering much of his rather imposing figure, the man glares at you with eyes that are not quite sane.As much as your emotional state is compromised at this time, you start to take a step back before catching yourself. This prick has nothing on you. You're the Gods damned [PURPLE FIREFLY] so instead of retreating you advance, bumping chests with the goliath despite wearing what amounts to ceremonial lingerie. As he opens his mouth to speak, you become aware of the white steam escaping from the left side of his jacket."You do have a lot of nerve. Or did you not realise he was here?" That female voice says, a small figure parting the group to address you in person. "Maybe you've just forgotten your past." She challenges. You ask going between the two. In a whirl of jacket and steel, suddenly you're blocking an incoming strike from the blonde man. Yet, it is no mace, gun or halberd currently pushing against your forearms. No, it is a prosphetic arm of gragantuan size that hisses steam and presses your guard with mechanical strength. In fact, with a hiss of steam the strength of the arm seems to double; suceeding in forcing a modicum of effort to keep this deadlock."We remember you, saviour that's what matters!" He spits, a knee rising up into your abs. While you doubt it could achieve much, you step back and swat it aisde, upsetting the man's balance to prevent any counterattacks as you give yourself spacing."Yes. We remember you Firefly. Crete and I are some of the souls you've left in your shadow." The shotgun is loaded and pointed at you now, the halfling's thugs drawing bizarre weaponry from within their ragged jackets. "I knew you'd be here eventually... But we never hoped to find you parted from that cursed blade of yours."She fires and you sidestep it, easily outstripping the projectile's speed. What concerns you is the strange shimmering orange liquid that coats each pellet; apparently you weren't dealing with standard amunition. Nor are you dealing with common weaponry; two of her followers hold metal tubes up to their mouths and suddenly you are hopping to the wall and up in an effort to evade semi automatic blowdarts. As you plant your feet on the roof of one of the flanking buildings; a sequence of successive explosions blow warm air up after you."Huh. Did not expect this." Instead of attacking Crete or his comrade who have opted to pursue you raise hands to them, "Wait! Just wait right here and I'll be right back."The duo look stunned and you hop of the roof, tearing through the backwater district until you find a random Inquisition guard. As the man prepares to tell you off for moving so recklessly throughout a populated area; he is captured and hoisted over your shoulders. Despite his best verbal protestaions and two instances of vomiting you return to the rooftop where you left Crete, only now the whole gang have gathered around as the halfling berates him for... "And after all the journeying and recruiting we do! She comes to us in lingerie and unarmed; so naturally you let her run off to arm up and bring her little lover!"The comment is just salt in a bleeding wound, nevermind how much her scathing tone burns you as a bystander with sheer fury behind them. "Okay, so like. I don't want to get kicked out of classes or jailed - these guys tried to kill me, can I defend myself?"He stammers and looks woozy until you click your fingers in his face. "Hey. The leader fires her shotgun and those weird explosive blowguns land at your feet with a sequence of dull thwoomps. But each is far too slow as you simply glide into melee range, hands up in a rather obviously ineffective guard. Crete swings at your body using that huge mechanical arm and you palm it to the side, the man tumbling to your left and allowing you to hurdle his back. While this leaves you surrounded by enemies there is no concern; in fact you catch two goons' swords in your palms at the exact same time. Neither blow needed youto even glance in their direction or expend any effort, every one of these mooks having so little strength that you'd topple them over from the shockwave of an attack even should you miss. The sound of shredded flesh and roaring of saws. Familiar but totally unexpected for once as both blades start digging into your hand despite their wielders' weakness. The pain forces you to grit your teeth, turning the full weight of your crimson glare on the smiling minion to your right; only now do you notice the waves of steam coming off the sword carving into your hands. "Do it NOW!" Is the command from the other sword minion - a rapidfire stream of darts embedding themselves in your feet and the rooftop around them. The explosion is the second worst you have had the displeasure of experiencing, cracks racing away from your position as wounds of varying sizes open up across your body. Despite this, it is the two minions collapsed in a pool of their own blood while you remain standing tall. Until Crete's mechanical arm hisses louder than a bassilisk, the fist portion being launched forward in the perfect timing to maximise the imapct of his gigantic left hook. The waves of steam manage to make even you sweat slightly before the staggering impact connects. Despite not being able to much as bruise you with his own methods, Crete's strange prosphetic both amplifies the blow and bypasses your own defences so completely that the building's roof is blown downward and inwards. Rubble raining down in boulder sized chunks alongside your body; with a sickening crack you find yourself bisecting a gigantic bookcase and bouncing off a thick woven rug...Apparently you have been punched down into some kind of huge library or bookstore. Rubbing your jaw, you rise again. "Okay. Weapons that hurt when their wielder should be too weak to hurt me..." With a twist your neck loudly pops. "They killed two of their own to get at me." Without thinking you catch and gently lower a chunk of roof that was going to wreck some kind of vintage display case. "Which means I have the boss, two blowgun guys and big Crete to deal with."You sigh and really wish you had a cigarette.

Crete falls like a meteorite from the heavens, Without even looking you catch his downward blow in your left hand, feet sliding shoulder width apart and your right hand curling into a fist. He cries out as you stop and arrest his momentum with your block easily, all the force of it being absorbed up your now glowing arm as you hold him aloft with the block. You exhale.Snapping your right fist round you send him flying across town in a lazy arc, the force of his blow and gravity topping off your own perfectly delivered strike perfectly, like a bright red fruit on a pure white cake. The two men with the strange chain-staff-swords surprise you with their survival; both men land in unison even as their trump card vacates the district via sunshine fist. Each one moves to a side in a pincer maneuver, the duo attempting to force you back with long swings that roar and hiss steam toward you.You inhale.Your left palm darts out and slaps the man on the left's inner thigh hard enough to force him to one leg. The thrust from his compatriot is evaded by leaning back, opening him up to a knee to the stomach that has him doubled over before you with the air stolen from his lungs. In lieu of continuing your assault, you rolle over his map and bring your heel down upon the first man's skull like an executioner's hammer. You exhale. He is knocked clean out without you breaking a sweat, his friend looking likely to follow as his desperate two handed swipe only slams against your left palm instead of decapitating you as he envisioned. As you snap a right jab into his wrist the bone cleanly breaks and he howls, the man's defeat giving you the opportunity to look up just as a veritable wall of explosive darts come thrumming down towards you.You inhale. With a blur of movement you pluck each and every one of the blowdarts out of the air; outpacing the automatic fire with total precision and serenity. The gasps are all the cue you need to launch them right back, tossing them haphazardly up towards and through the hole in the ceiling. Soon, bodies and blood rain down upon you; the explosion going unheard underneath the seemingly loud breathing that allows you to channel this power. You exhale and thank Minerva for her blessing. The shotgun fires and a third body falls through the opening with wings of blood behind his twitching and convulsing form. The inquisition guardsman. From above, you see the halfling turning to flee.> [WORRY] Catch the Guard!> [DETERMINATION] Chase the halfling> [SHAME] Flee before anyone can tie you to this trouble> Write-InTotally didn't edit because I fucked up the inhale/exhale

>>2402973>>2402947>>2402932>>2402920>>2402916Leaping up past the falling guard, you grab onto the crumbling rooftop and haul yourself over in a single fluid move. A small figure is already making her way into the distance, far beyond what you can hold any hopes of catchinh up to. She's running towards another girl of similar build, her twin sister if memory serves. The very same twin sister who can teleport.Slipping your foot under the inquisitor's weapon, you kick the spear up into your hands and twirl it around for a throw. Like a statue in the afternoon you stand stationary and breathless leading your target and waiting for her to jump the final gap between her and her twin. The minute she leaves the gorund your arm whips forward with supernatural strength, speed and accuracy; the oddly shaped ceremonial spear tearing through the air fast enough that it leaves a visible slipstream behind it. However, your target is saved by her sister sprinting forward and tackling her through the air. The duo plummeting towards the streets below and out of your vision seemingly a moment away from being skewered by your javelin. Two jumps is all it takes for you to cross her escape, a scant eight to fifteen seconds later. When you look down at the street below you almost hope to see two broken halflings crippled on the streets below surrounded by horrified onlookers; but instead there is no sign of crisis whatsoever... Just a busy street.Nothing is going your way today.> Timeskip to after giving your statement> Timeskip to Dorm> Go through the motions> Timeskip to Sleeping
