You are the Herald of the Omnissiah, former skitarii ranger 101. You now lead great armies, and have nearly conquered an entire sector, your conquest protected by a massive warp stormm. You have gotten rid of all comers, and burned away all who would challenge the Omnissiah.

But you have also never bothered to learn the name of your sorcerer, one of your most powerful advisors.

Welcome to Skitarii Quest Episode 7: The Omnissiah Awakens!

Just in case you don't know, the objective with dice rolls in to roll under our attributes, with modifiers given based on the difficulty of the situation. A 1 is a critical success, a 100 is a critical failure. I usually wait for about three different people to give rolls unless there's not a lot of activity. Anyways, onto the quest!

"It's Malirk."

"Ah." You both just stand there awkwardly. "So, you made space marines. That's good."

"Yes." You both just stand there, filled with awkwardness.

-------------------------------------------

You are now Machina, second herald of the Omnissiah, former sister of battle. You have brought the truth of the Omnissiah to Mars, that the Omnissiah has aspects in all other dieties: in the Emperor, in Chaos, in the gods of Xenos. You have told the tech priests to spread the truth to their fellows in hushed whispers. Unfortunately, the truth was to great to remain hidden.

The Imperium of Man has become fractured, at war with itself. Exterminatus has been declared onto several forge worlds. Some have misinterpreted the truth to say that the Emperor is a false god and that Chaos is the truth. Some have dived into the arms of manipulative Xenos. There are depressingly few who have embraced the full truth, most only on Holy Mars, now protected by waiting Imperial fleets in a standstill, the fleets of the Adeptus Mechanicus having returned to their home, the red planet protected by a massive force shield.

Elsewhere in the Imperium, all is in civil war, every sector fracturing into several factions constantly at war. Even worse, Chaos war bands have been drawn to the Eye of Terror; a sure sign of a coming Black Crusade. Even shouting the the truth of the Omnissiah, his lost lambs war with each other.

It may have been better to declare war on the Imperium. At least then there would have been sides.

You gaze up open the shimmering field protecting the red planet as a tech priest approaches. "Lady herald! The council wishes your guidance! What are we to do? Mars will starve eventually if the blockade is not ended! The Mechanicus across the galaxy is fractured! Forgeworlds have died or been swallowed by the warp, and the rest hang in the balance! What are we to do?"

>[1] Tell them that Mars must be abandoned, and that you will set out on a glorious crusade to unite the faithful.
>[2] Tell them them that we must wait, for soon the first herald will emerge, and that when he does we must go out to meet him.
>[3] Tell them that you will travel to the Eye of Terror and steal the forces of the Black Crusade from Abaddon the Despoiler. You will show the fallen legions the truth, forceful if you must.

To survive we all must turn to the aspects of the Omnissiah embodied in Order AND Chaos fully, because Omnissiah is all-encompassing. Tell them that the hope of a united Omnissiah is not lost, but you must depart and seek out the First Herald. We still have some issues to sort out (attacking you was uncool), but Abbadon comes first. To deal with him, we all must be united. And that means Heralds too.

Alright then, it seems that depression about the state of the Omnissiah's faithful has led Machina towards the worship of the Omnissiah as being mostly a Chaos god, possibly the god of Chaos.

Should the dice roll stand.

Given how wildly different these two options are, and the massive implications teach would have, I'm going to actually call it in the morning. It the tie isn't broken, we will proceed with option [4], except in the case where it would manage to become a 3-way tie, in which case it would probably become a 1-2 [4], 3 [5], 4 [third thing] to recognize that [4] won the initial dice roll.

"Hope is not lost, child of the Omnissiah. There is another herald, and soon he will arrive upon the galaxy. He will unite the aspects of Chaos while I will unite Order. He will come to Mars, for he must come to Mars. When he does, he will realize we must work together to ensure the Omnissiah's glory. Until then, send out a message to the forgbworlds, that soon the Omnissiah's heralds will liberate them." The tech priest scurries off, and you stare at the shielded sky.

You spread your wings and they shimmer, a warp gate appearing before you. You slip inside, and leave Mars, hoping it will stand without you.

----------------------------------------------------

You are now 101, first herald of the Omnissiah.

You can feel it. The warp storm is ending. After many years of conquering and securing the sector, finally you will be able to venture out and convert the galaxy to the light of the Omnissiah. As the storm clears, a bolt of light flashes across space and Mechanica, your equal and opposite, the second herald of the Omnissiah, appears on the bridge.

"101, the galaxy is in utter disarray. The strongholds of the Omnissiah are under siege, and many have fallen to Chaos. Not your chaotic Omnissiah, no, simply the ruinous powers themselves. I beg of you, you must recognize me as your equal and ally with me. Only then may we truly save the Omnissiah's children."

"Mechanica, I apologize for my actions last time we met, and I would gladly ally with you at this point. However, we can do so much more. We both represent different aspects of the Omnissiah, and allying together would finally unite the different aspects of the Omnissiah. However, if we were to do that the Omnissiah would be together, but not whole," so say, sweeping out your arms. "Mechanica, we must join together as a single being to truly unit the Omnissiah!"

She looks shocked, but then smiles "These words you speak are true. Let us become one. Let us unite the Omnissiah." She holds out her hand and you grasp it. The point of contact between you glows, and the light encompasses both of you, your essence melting into each other. Memories and form swirl and mix, devotion meeting devotion and growing even stronger.

Consider that 101, Herald of the Omnissiah's chaotic aspects, has actually done more to organize and unite his territories over the same time span than his "equal." It was Mechanica's influence on Mars that ultimately threw the Imperium into civil war where she should have brought stability. 101 is clearly the stronger of the two in all aspects of the Omnissiah's being, even Order. This has always been *his* story.

[1] it is then. This was mostly just to determine what you looked like after the fusion. Writing.
>>
Suddenly, the energy coalesces into matter. You are in similar of shape to the old 101, but less bulky, and with the addition of the old Mechanica's shining wings, though their golden light is more subdued, less painful to be in the presence of. The symbols throughout your body have shifted somewhat, the Chaos symbols becoming less pronounced for mixing together with imperial imagery. To any inquisitor that would view you, you still carry obvious symbols of chaos, but now they are more subsumed, the focus on the Omnissiah as a whole greater than the aspects.

With the fusion comes new power, new knowledge, and now, the full extent of the next steps:

You must go to Mars and consume the Void Dragon, the last who could lay claim, and then, all major aspects of the material and immaterial incorporated, travel to the Soul Forge within the Warp and take the throne of the Omnissiah, which has lain empty for far too long.

You are not merely the Omnissiah's herald, you are the seed which will allow the Omnissiah to fully manifest. You are the last piece of the puzzle. Only Tzneetch, weaver of fates and aspect of the Omnissiah, knows as well. But when the Chaos gods, the other aspects realize it, they will fight to stop it. You know now your reason for existence, now it is merely a matter of making it reality.

>[1] Travel immediately to Mars to consume the void dragon.
>[2] Travel to the Eye of Terror and steal the reins of the 13th Black Crusade before it can begin.

Uniting the galaxy needs to come first before the fight against chaos and what the fuck will abaddon do in the meantime?

This, both the forces of chaos and the hold outs of the imperium must be crushed and converted, we've ascended beyond the need to prove ourselves in the joke they call the great game. Also, I just realized that finally got that fifth order aspect, 101 must be powerful as fuck at this point.

Well shit, go big or go home. Guess we'll take the solar system first, then go Omnissah's forces versus Chaos Black Crusade
>>
You decide to set forth will full force towards the Segmentum Solar, heart of the Imperium, home of Mars and Terra. You must be able to access the Void Dragon when you are ready.

Soon, your fleets are ready. Te'Hara, Malirk, Medusa, Kall, Cassian, Elizabeth, all are commanding sections of your forces. From your vast Skitarii legions, to the ever growing Angels of the Omnissiah(Apparently most converted Sister of Battle have joined the Angels), to Te'Hara's bestial former T'au, to a force of special operative genestealers. Even the daemons of the Omnissiah are now ready to be summoned from combat, the day of manifestation drawing ever nearer.

As your fleets approach the Segmentum, you must decide your course of action.

>[1] Strike straight through, seizing Terra and Mars.

Mars is ours, if we take Terra and the Emperor's throne, the Imperium is ours.

You decide to strike the very heart of the now crumbling Imperium, which also happens to be right next door to you true objective and also you largest stronghold. The fleet enters the warp and speeds towards the Sol system.

Your arrival appears to start a naval battle between the Mechanicus and Imperial forces that were up to this point at a standstill, filling space with lasers, torpedoes, and massive solid slugs. You are also being fired upon. That's great.

You decide that boarding actions would be most appropriate. You relay the order, and then ready yourself and your personal escort, ripping a hole into the empyrean and bringing several squads of the Omnissiah's Angels as well as your necron elite guard along with you straight to the bridge of a Emperor class battleship. You are almost immediately under fire from various crewmen as well as a squad of grey knights. You quickly take cover along with with your servants and children.

You plunge your hand into a terminal and seek out the machine spirits of the ship. As soon as they interface with you, they know for a fact who you are and what you will become, you command them to send a message to the spirits controlling the warp drive: detonate.

Quickly, you pull your hand from the terminal and grab your forces, ripping open a warp rift and jumping through back onto your own ship. From the view screen, you observe as the battleship crumbles in on itself before exploding outward, then further collapsing, then forming a short lived but massive warp rift that manages to drag a third of the imperial fleet into it.

You chuckle. Your victory in space is guaranteed now. The Navy had only kept enough ships in the system to have a constant standoff with Mars. The rest are scattered throughout the segmentum and beyond ever since you(well, Mechanica, but you are technically Mechanica now) managed to set the Imperium on fire by secretly speaking the truth to some tech priests.

Your victory almost assured, you are about to order your forces to press forward when a panicked Cassian hails you. "My lord! Imperial forces have just warped into the system! Dear Omnissiah, it's the Phalanx, the Imperial Fist's battle station! It's accompanied by dozens of battle barges! My lord, I think almost every Imperial Fists chapter that could be mustered has just entered the system! An entire legion of space marines!"

Oh, right, the Imperial Fists defend Terra. This is bad, but to be honest, still nearly a best case scenario. Most other space marine chapters will either be fighting the black crusade or else dealing with the fact that the Imperium is on fire.

>[1] Make for Terra now! You are essentially surrounded except for the path you just opened.

Thinking quickly, you tell your team that you will do the same as last time, ripping open a warp rift to a nearby imperial cruiser onto its bridge, quickly killing the surprised crew with a hail of bolder fire.

You once again connect with the system and order the machine spirits, this time delaying the detonation order behind an order to ram the Phalanx. You chuckle as you warp back to your own ship. You are getting very good at teleporting.

You watch as the ship fires its engines and careens towards the massive space station, flickers of the warp forming around it and...
>>
Watch as the Phalanx's guns fire upon the vessel turned bomb. The concentrated fire manages to severely damage the cruiser, but it still pushes on, impacting near the central mass of the Phalanx before the warp drive detonates.

A blinding flash of light explodes from the event, and when it's safe to look again, you see that the rift has consumed nearly 40% of the Phalanx's mighty bulk, as well as a number of Imperial and Mechanicus ships being brought down by massive streaks of warp lighting. Even though severely crippled, the Imperial Fist's fortress monastery continues to fire what gun batteries still function, even as fluctuating gravity pulls it towards Jupiter.

Overall, quite satisfied. A shame you did so much damage to it, but the wreck can be recovered.

"To Mars now! We must secure the Red Planet!" The order is relayed, and your fleet makes its way across the the solar system, destroying enemy vessels as you go, skipping across the asteroid belt and entering orbit around the red planet.

As you arrive, you are hailed by the Fabricator General himself. "Greetings herald of the Omnissiah! You have finally come to us! The Machine God rises!" Hm, you should probably install Medusa as the Fabricator General later. She'd like that.

"I have come to secure Holy Mars and purge the unbelievers from the system. I have first come here to ensure that the red planet remains safe."

"Oh it is my lord. We have activated old defense systems, long locked away and left to accumulate dust. Things created during the Horus Heresy, things were believe to be foul, but with hindsight we realize are holy. All attempts to breach our defenses have been met with utter annihilation!"

"If you have been able to utterly annihilate all attackers, why have you not conquered the system?"

"Well my lord... we could have, but that would require using something entirely untested, something poorly understood. A weapon of great and terrible power sealed beneath the surface. We know it's power would win us the system, but we fear that it's use would break the planet."

>[1] "You were right to take caution. Hold fast, for I shall conquer Terra and end this farce."
>[2] "Can you tell me more of this weapon?" "No, all we know of it is its power." "Then unleash it!"
>[3] "You have held well. Your orbital defense is so great that you need little of your ground troops. I am taking them with me to Terra to aid in my conquest."

"You were right to take caution. Hold fast, for I shall conquer Terra and end this farce."

"As you command my lord. Glory to the Omnissiah!"

"Glory to the Omnissiah, Fabricator General," you reply as you relay the command to make for Terra.

The space around Terra is littered with the wrecks of cruisers and battleships, which will soon collapse into space hulks if not salvaged soon after the battle. Luckily, you will win this battle, and salvage operations will be quick and efficient.

As you float just out of range of the defense guns,. your most elite allies warp on board of your ship. Medusa has clad herself in a vastly upgraded version of Adepta Sororitas power armor, her Mechadendrites all modified for combat. Your sorcerer Malirk has clad himself in brand new terminator armor. Kall seems to have grown in bulk and height, and now grips bone sabers in his lower set of arms. Te'Hara, the Tau commander turned bestial creature, is equipped with a back mounted weapons array and daemon infused metallic claws. Elizabeth, mostly forgotten since the ordeal with the Inquisition on Karax III, has acquired a demonically infused Warlord Titan. They away your command as your fleet arrives around your ship, troop transports at the ready, the enemy fleets having been scattered and driven off to the Kuiper belt for the time being.

You give the command: A full assault on Holy Terra begins. Drop pods filled with the Omnissiah's Angels, converted space marine chapters, sisters of battle, skitarii, and necrons fall to the surface. Other troops are teleported down via warp rift, imperial teleport, or necron technology. You yourself descend to a large open area along with your retinue in order to assist in the ground battle. Fighting in the massive hive cities is nearly pointless. They could take decades to subdue. More important structures must be taken instead.

You fight on for five hours before you hear... something odd.

Half naked and incredibly buff men jump surround you with extreme skill. Damn, their lack of technological implements will make combating them more difficult.

"Indeed brother! We must eradicate these... UNFABULOUS creatures from the system immediately."

"I'm absolutely BURSTING with anticipation for this. The last time we had a fight of this magnitude was when Magnus went berserk!"

You lunge forward, sword blazing with fury, ready to slay your enemies. However, their bodies are so damn oiled up and limber, and you are unable to properly land a hit. You lead your troops to the industrial sections of Holy Terra. The planet itself does not export much, but as the most populous planet in the Imperium, all of its massive production capabilities go towards the itself, as well as a sizable portion of nearby Mars's.

It is quite easy to make your way to the massive factorum complexes, as the defenders are mostly clustered around the Imperial palace. It seems the factorums are at incredibly low capacity for the moment, the tech priests essential to its running having been executed months ago. The workers cower as your troops enter, but bow as you draw closer and they feel your divine presence.

Holy Terra, that is what it has been called for ten thousand years. But what is so holy about it? Is it a mountain of knowledge and industry like Mars? No, merely where the Golden Throne sits. So then, time to make it holy.

The factorums roar to life. Your forces raid the Scholastia Psykana. Those psykers which bow to the Omnissiah's glory are accepted into the ranks. where they are taught the wonders of mechanical warp-craft at astounding speed. Those that do not bow are sacrifice, fed into forges to make them daemonic in nature. One such daemonic forge has become quite miraculous. A sniveling retch, a starved weakling who has eaked out an existence eating garbage need only step in and a few moments later step out as a perfectly formed skitarii, ready for combat. Vehicles and war machines of all kind are brought in and daemons let into their shells, the new daemon engines roaring triumphantly.

Millions of those deemed unworthy, either by age or heinous crime, are led into a massive pit where white hot liquid metal is poured onto their bodies. The mass sacrifice opens a rift into the warp, and daemons of the Omnissiah, their numbers ever bolstering as worship spreads, pour forth.

Soon, Terra is all but yours. It's people has come to worship the Omnissiah, the very air with warp particles. Some children are born with cybernetic enhancements that will grow with them. Some people spontaneously stop acting with free will, metallic parts growing out of their brains as they instantly become servitors. Only the Imperial Palace still stands out of your reach.

During the months of your conquest of Terra, a great warp rift has nearly split the galaxy in half, the result of the 13th Black Crusade. However, something far more interesting has happened. According to reports, the defenders of Cadia were rescued by at least one Eldar Craftworld before the planet was finally destroyed. After Cadia's fall, the craft world, or craft worlds as it may be, sped to Macragge, where by some xenos magic the primarch Roboute Guilliman was revived.

Since the primarch's revival, it seems that the Eldar have fully allied with him, with multiple craft worlds speeding towards the last bastion of Imperial space along with, it seems, nearly every remaining Imperial force still capable of getting there.

It seems that most of the Imperium has been abandoned, a lost cause in its own eyes, its territory shrinking to only Ultramar and some surrounding sectors. This means that, for the moment, you have conquered the Sol system, with the exception of the Imperial Palace and the moon of Titan.
>>
>[1] You have waited long enough. Blast open the Imperial Palace with as much firepower as can be mustered. You heard the boys on Mars have constructed something called a "World Engine".

Smiling, you teleport to the gates of the Imperial Palace, atop a massive and deserted bridge. Your own forces are far behind you, idly watching the gates while they worship the Omnissiah and experiment with new varieties of servitor(through a quick glance, it seems that boredom empowers the Slaanesh aspect of the Omnissiah).

Suddenly, the great gates of the palace swing open, and a massive figure in yellow and gold power armor clutching a massive chainsword. "I am Rogal Dorn, primarch of the Imperial Fists, defender of Terra. You have killed many of my sons and despoiled my father's planet. For this, you must pay."

You splash blood across the primarch's face as he once again lunges at you, giving you just enough time to begin focusing on your psychic powers before you are forced to begin dodging his other strikes.

Finally, you have finished your charge, and are able to lance the energy into Dorn. He spasms and falls. "No! I am Rogal Dorn! I will not fall like this!"

"He he he. You are not Rogal Dorn, you are mine." Rogal screams as the power armor around his neck seems to liquify before shooting up, forming a helmet around his head, quickly mulling his screams. He writhes for q few more seconds before all movement stops. In a flash of flames, the symbol of the Omnissiah appears on his chest plate, and he stands.

"Who are you?" You ask, already knowing the answer. The thing which used to be Dorn does not answer. You knock your hand on its chest, and it sounds hollow. Seems as though you've made the primarch into a rubric marine.

The gates to the Imperial palace still stand open it seems. Likely all their hopes rode on Dorn. Fools.

You step inside the gates of the palace and into the cavernous halls and chambers. The path to the throne is rather direct, if a tad barred by gates and such. These gates happen to be guarded by variously Imperial Fists, Custodes, or space marines clad in black and fire. The gates guarded by the fists fall easy. They see Dorn and initially assume he is bringing you in as a prisoner, only to be surprised when you suddenly turn them to but dust inside armor shells, joining their primarch as rubrics. Such a good way to deal with space marines that refuse to bow to the Omnissiah.

The custodes and daemon-esque space marines fall with ease, they fight seeming to have left their bodies. They know they have lost. In fact, there seem to be less here than their should be. You wonder idly about where they went and when as you slaughter those that remain.

Finally, you enter into the throne room. It is utterly massive, and you know for certain that the only living things within its depth are yourself, and the barely alive Emperor of Mankind. His corpse is a shriveled and skeleton thing. It has not been feed with psychic souls for quite some time. The astronomicon has faded to a dull shimmer, no longer a piercing light. Still though, divinity rests within him. When he finally falls, it will be the final nail in the coffin for the Imperium of Man.

You can see that the skin beneath his empty eyesocktets has become wet with tears.

You think hard, and realize that you do not need the Emperor's power for the ascension. You already obtained the aspects he possesses through Mechanica's faith. However, there is no point in letting that power go to waste, and you know of only one person who your trust enough to share in power.

All threats being neutralized, you summon Medusa to your side. "Dear Omnissiah, the Golden Throne. I never thought I'd ever really see it. So few have seen that husk called an Emperor in person."

"Yes my dear, and I grant him to you as a gift," you say, smiling.

"101, what do you mean?"

"I already have power enough to complete the Omnissiah's plan for me. However, once I leave to the Soulforge, it is possible I would not be able to easily return to the material to lead my followers. That is where you will step in. When I am gone, you will lead the followers of the Omnissiah, as you have throughout the entire journey."

"But what does that have to do with the Emperor?"

"My love, I will grant you the this corpse's power as I granted you the power of the necron queen. With it, you will become a demi-god, second only to the Omnissiah. You shall be the god-empress of the Omnissiah's mortal worshipers."

Medusa smiles and runs her hand across your form. "And to think, when I first met you, I was going to scrap your body for parts. Look at you now 101."

You smile back, and reach your hand out to the Emperor. His withered husk lets at one last gasp before it crumbles into dust, his massive psychic energy emerging in a whirlwind which surrounds Medusa and enters her body. The Astronomicon fades into darkness as its power is directed to a new host.

Across the dying Imperium, symbols of the Imperial Aquilla shatter and explode, and all those who once protected it know that the Imperium is truly dead.

Across the galaxy, those that drew power directly from their faith in the God-Emperor, mostly Sisters of Battle and their living saints, feel a sudden shift, their god being subsumed by another entity. Living Saints, psychical vessels of the Emperor's will, collapse as their forms and inner lights change to better suit the will of their new Empress.

The energies subside, and Medusa stands before you. She is now your equal in height, and a gray light shines from within her. You can feel her psychic might, actually stronger than yours at the moment. She is no longer a mere tech priest, she is the God-Empress of the Omnissiah's Holy Imperium. And still, she kneels to you; she knows your purpose.

"So then, 101, what next? Will you stay in the mortal realm longer, hep me conquer the galaxy for the Omnissiah, or do we release the Void Dragon now and you move on to greater things?"

Medusa uses her new "most powerful psyker in the galaxy" powers to clean the corpse dust off the golden throne, and gestures to you to follow her up to it. "Come on 101, having sex on the Golden Throne while the Imperium falls to pieces is every heretic's dreams. I'm not a heretic anymore of course, I mean, I just ate and essentially stole the job of the person I was committing heresy against, but it's a matter of principal."

You have a night, well, several nights of pleasure. You just finished huge plans, participated in great battles, and brought great ruin. Now it's time for pleasure.

You have a lot of pleasure and experimentation with Medusa. There's a LOT of kinky stuff you can get up to when both participants are powerful psykers, especially when you realize that you can switch between the a 101 form and a Mechanica form, and ESPECIALLY when Medusa realizes how easy shapeshifting.

If is now later now, several weeks later. You've been sitting down and relaxing. Medusa has been expanding the new Imperium. The new Astronomicon is a very inventive thing; Navigators that view it become enthralled to the God-Empress and lead their ships into the embrace of the Omnissiah. Besides those tricked into the new Imperium, many having declared for you willingly as well. You are one of the few sources of order in the now chaotic galaxy. In the galactic North, Abaddon the Despoiler has established a solidified Dark Imperium spreading from the ever expanding. In the galactic east, Guiliman has established the Unified Imperium of Man and Eldar, uniting the majority of surviving craftworlds and former Imperial worlds of Ultramar and surrounding sectors. Meanwhile, it seems that a massive fleet of Tau is conquering the Segmentum Pacificus in absence of any other centralized authority, and human planets are quickly declaring for the greater good. Might be a good deal to focus on one of those.

Necrons have like the #3 fastest and #1 safest FTL in the Galaxy since it doesn't require dipping into the Warp, making the Astronomicon and the thousands of daily sacrifices needed to maintain it obsolete. The Astronomicon is what's drawing in the Tyranids to Terra. Shutting it off would make the Tyranids go away and have the added bonus of causing remaining Imperial voidcraft to get lost in the Warp and obliterated. We could basically flip a switch and have two of our four remaining faction problems rendered toothless.
>>2389041
In absence of the above, I'd go with this. Tyranids also have excellent Warp-less FTL, possibly faster than Necrons.
>>
>>2389461
The new astronomicon doesn't require sacrifices, and also has the added bonus of corrupting navigators who look at it, quickly expanding your control of the remnants of the Imperium that haven't been absorbed into the new ones.
>>
>>2389461
Also, Tyranid FTL is SUBSTANTIALLY slower than necrons. I think it might even be slower than Tau actually. Hell, the whole reason for the gene stealer cult system is for hive fleets to lock onto worlds with sufficient biomass so they're not going in blind and wasting their time.
>>

You decide to check in on the Tyranids. According to Kall, there are a lot more of them now then there were a while ago. They can feel it, the gathering energies that await your ascension. They wish to devour what will become godhood. Their onslaught has sped up. Nothing more other than tides of hive ships still lives in the farthest systems of the galactic west. Several new hive fleets have arrived from below the galactic plane, following the path of Leviathan. Worse still, the incursion is mirrored, new hive fleets coming in from above the galactic plane and from the galactic south, west, and north. It is as though the entirety of the galaxy has been surrounded by an unending swarm.

Kall is not as sure. The genestealer believes that the tyranids that are now visible may be simply all the tyranids, that no more hive fleets wait behind them, that this is it for the Great Devourer, a last mad dash for an ultimate prize. If the onslaught from all sides can be survived, then the Tyranids will be shattered, becoming nothing more than scattered hive ships limping their last and gene stealer cults that will never call down hive fleets.

However, the threat now is vast and incoming, the three Imperiums that have risen in the wake of the last one's death complete enemies of each other, actively fighting each other as death comes for each of them.

>[1] Unlike the other two Imperiums, the Omnissiah's have substantially less territory being directly assaulted by the new waves of tyranids. Take this opportunity to claim space while they fight off the bugs.

I don't think we have anything to gain from Abbadon, and Guilliman probably won't want to work with us at all after we genderbent his dad's soul and fucked it in his favorite chair. However, I do want to see how the other factions are reacting to things. It will be fun.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ascending now would more or less end the quest, right? Not much we can do personally in the material world after the Omnissiah manifests from us.
>>
>>2391182
Ascending will indeed end the quest.

Here's how the other factions are doing:
Majority of loyalist space marines have flocked to Guiliman's new Imperium because hey, it's the best they've got. Those that didn't go to Guiliman are now either dead, currently defending their home systems, turned to chaos, or pledged their allegiance to the Omnissiah and Empress Medusa. The space marines your Imperium has encountered that did not submit were added to the ever expanding rubric legions, led by the implacable shell of Rogal Dorn's Armor. You had almost managed to obtain the Lion as well, but Cypher spirited him away somewhere. Speaking of other primarchs, the Chaos ones are all active, with Perturabo and the Iron Warriors declaring their allegiance to you. Medusa didn't quite like Perturabo, and turned him into a rubric like Dorn. She thought it was funny that after their bitter rivalry, they were now identical inside.

There's been some rumors that loyalist primarchs have been sighted alive.

Most of the Eldar Craftworlds have joined Guiliman's Imperium, though a few have distanced themselves from it in disgust, some even going so far as to attempt to break through the tyranids surrounding the galaxy and into intergalactic space to wherever waits beyond.

The Dark Eldar are having business as usual for the most part, though oddly, you have reports that a large number of them left Commoragh for Guiliman's Imperium, though you don't know why.

The Orks seem an unchanging constant of the galaxy.

Chaos is all in the galactic north, barely held together by Abaddon's constant conquest.

The Necrons are still about, and they largely hate you for various reasons. Trazyn the Infinite stole a few rubrics, one of the Omnissiah's Angels, and Elizabeth.

Anything else you'd like to know about the goings on in the galaxy?

>>
>>2391787
It's probably the best idea to do the void dragon, end this thread, and finish in the next as you fight towards godhood.
>>
>>2391787
I get your impatience, but a more solid position in the materium will make it way easier after ascending. Don't want to become stuck in a chair now, do we.

I think we should seriously fuck up abby's shit before ascending as that would weaken Chaos's hold, which should make it way easier to not die or get mangled upon ascension. Remember they have had much more practice being gods and don't forget the deceivers influence on our ascention to daemonhood, he is quite possibly planning on becoming the only presence in the warp.
>>
>>2392265
Totally dealing with the matters of the Materium before godhood would be ideal IMO, a more solid foothold and whatnot.

You have a message sent out to Abaddon and to Guiliman, asking for a very temporary ceasefire to speak about the looming and existential tyranid threat. Abaddon mockingly agrees, seeing as you killed the Emperor. Guiliman sends a very terse agreement back, saying he will send an ambassador in his place.

The parties have agreed to meet above a nameless and blasted rock somewhere a little way's into the Ultima Segmentum, upon a once grand and shining space station who's population had been reduced severely by warfare.

Now then, you must decide what to do with this chance.

Rubrics are expendable and easily fixed if destroyed. We might also be able to bargain what is left of Dorn back to the Imperium if needed, depending on who Guilliman has sent in his stead. Abbadon will almost certainly betray us if he is coming in person.

You dress your absolute best. Flawless metallic armor, red robes of Mars, with Medusa at your side, clad in glowing mechanical armor, resplendent in her glory. Accompanying you in your honor guard are the rubrics you created from Dorn and Perturabo, to show those you will speak with what happens to those that annoy you.

You arrive in the Nameless System aboard the Omnissiah Vult, your old flagship, which requires no escorts. Still, there is a large fleet of yours, hidden within the Warp, ready to emerge if needed.

You see near the station the ships of many lesser stellar empires formed from the old Imperium, as well as a daemon ship likely holding the negotiator for Abaddon unless the war master came himself, and the ship of the United Imperium's representative, which appears to be Eldar in design.

You enter into a shuttle and fly over to the station along with Medusa, the rubrics, and your necron honor guard. A servitor meets you as you arrive, eating to you a conference room, where you see who you will be speaking with.

From the Dark Imperium has come the legendary sorcerer of the Thousand Sons, Ahriman. He looks over your rubrics with interest, having created the original procedure for creating them.

From the United Imperium is the legendary Farseer of Ulthwé, Eldrad Ulthran, accompanied by the chapter master of the Ultra Marines, Marneus Calgar, who's armor now seems to incorporate wraith bone components.

Everybody is glaring at each other in silence. As Medusa enters, you can see Calgar's eyes burn with pure rage at the blasphemy.

>[1] Begin... the negotiations! Do not favor either side.

Simply make clear that we do not seek humanity's or the Eldar's destruction, and that it is actually in our best interest that both survive the Tyranids (if not solely to preserve their arcane technologies and labor for our own uses respectively, but nobody has to know that part). It is the Imperium that ultimately birthed us after all, we can highlight how their values have led us to unite so many of the different races of the galaxy. Offer Rubric Dorn to the Ynnari for restoration as a token of good will.

Ahriman is an agent of Tzneetch and should appreciate our machinations regardless, especially if he is privy to our true end goals.

You get down to business. The tyranids are an existential threat which should take precedent over all other issues.

You get begrudging agreement from the other two Imperiums, so now is the time to hammer out details. As you are about to however, Ahirman stands.

"This is a exercise in futility, and I have planned for this. The only survival is all things under Chaos. And to that front, I have lured you into my trap!" He yells, raising his arms.

...
...
...
Nothing happens. Wait... could it be that? You throw your mind into the warp. Oh. Yep. Ahirman was doing exactly the same as you. But luckily you took the bigger fleet.

"Oh. Umm... that's what we call in the Eye of Terror 'a joke', you see. It's...." Ahirman eyes the exit as Eldrad and Calgar make ready to smash his face in.

You politely grab Ahirman by his shoulder with one of your mechadendrites, sinking your claws into his armor. The ancient sorcerer gulps audibly.

"And where do you think you're going? You're lucky your trap didn't work, else I would have killed you. Why don't you sit back down and we can talk this out?"

"I don't actually have power to negotiate for the war master so..."

"Then you'll watch as I make demands of him, and then you'll relay those to the armless failure, alright?"

"Armless?" He says as you plop his back onto his chair.

You turn to the other party of interest. "Now then, what is it you want other than for us to cease attacking you until the tyranids are dealt with?"

"We would like you to surrender the soul of the emperor, surrender the body of Rogal Dorn, for you to abandon the worship of the ruinous powers, for you to leave Terra and surrender all your territory to us, and to surrender to the Emperor and Empress of the United Imperium."

"There's an empress is there? So Guiliman took somebody as his bride? I thought to primarchs had no drive for that sort of thing. I would know, ever since I ate the Emperor I remember making them." Medusa says, smiling.
