"What can you tell us about Luxor, Avdol?" Polnareff asks his friend while waiting for Joseph to come back from the restroom.

"It's a city halfway up the Nile river. The valley we're walking on was once where the pharaos of old were laid to rest." Avdol is happy to explain the city's origin. "The tomb of the famous King Tutankhamun lies here, in the Valley of the Kings."

"Cool, I didn't know it was a historical place." Polnareff checks out the sand dunes from a distance. "Anything else?"

"It's a common practice of the citizens to dig underneath their houses in secret to the government in hopes of finding some lost treasure." Avdol points to the ground, as if trying to entice Polnareff to give a shot at looking for tombs.

"Is it even possible for them to find any treasures left after all this time?" Kakyoin intervenes.

"I doubt it." Jotaro condescendingly looks at his watch. "How long does it take for an old man to take a shit?"

"Why do you think I always wait until we're at a hotel? Even then it's hard to find a real toilet there. They usually just have a hole for you to squat down on!" Polnareff goes on a rant about his bathroom preferences.

"You'd probably hate staying in Japan then. I wouldn't call our toilets conventional after seeing the ones over here." You tell Polnareff.

"Alright, remind me to bring a toilet from home if I ever go there." Polnareff quips.

"Shouldn't we check on Joseph too? He really is taking a while..."

"Iggy went along with him in case a stand user shows up, so he'll be the first to notice anything weird happening with Mr. Joestar." Kakyoin explains while Avdol moves to where the old stand user was previously seen.

"Hey Mr. Joestar! Why are you laying down on that rock? The others are waiting for you." Avdol finds Joseph looking at Iggy a few meters away from the bathroom.

"Huh? Ok then, I'm coming." Joseph stands up and follows Avdol, who leads the group to a kiosk.

"We could make it to Cairo in less than two days from now, but I don't know if it's a good idea." Avdol informs the crew while Joseph thinkers with his prosthetic hand. "I was planning to take a break for a day or two before going there, especially after hearing how different the city is now with Dio and all."

"Why not? We've done nothing but move from town to town for the past week. Might as well take a quick rest before shit hits the fan." Polnareff takes a sip of the coke he ordered. "Hey, Mr. Joestar... Are you listening?"

"Yeah, it's just that my prosthetic hand acting weird recently. I think I forgot to oil it today." He places his hands back on the table and orders a few cans of soda to the rest of the party. "I'm all up for it, but our enemies will likely take advantage of that. What do you guys think?"

"Resting would be nice. We can never be too prepared for Dio." You drink the two bottles of coke you ordered and give your honest take on the subject at hand.

"True..." Kakyoin agrees.

"Woof!" Iggy curls up in his chair.

"Ok, we'll rest for today and tomorrow to get our bearings. There's a nice hotel just down the street, so we'll be free for the day after booking up." Avdol points to a big fancy building a few blocks away from the kiosk.

"Hey! Could you turn the radio off? The static's getting annoying!" Polnareff shouts to the man behind the counter.

"How strange. I just bought it over from Japan. Why is it already malfunctioning?" The man slaps the radio around to see if he can make it work again.

"Let's just finish our drinks and get out of here." Jotaro also appears to be bothered by the static, wanting to get to the hotel as fast as possible.

...

"3 rooms again, huh?" Joseph says after registering his name. "Guess we'll be choosing our roommates again."

"That's easy. I'll go with Jotaro." Kakyoin takes one key from the counter.

"Avdol." Joseph takes the second key right after Kakyoin.

"I'll go with--" Polnareff stops himself after realizing he'll have to room with Iggy. "Ah, Damn it! you guys did than on purpose, didnt you?!"

"I'll go with Jotaro and Kak." You approach the two students while Polnareff frowns at the dog next to him.

"Hey Hitomi. Do you think I could read some of your books? The last one you gave me was really interesting." Jotaro asks you.

"Sure, but I have to unpack my stuff first." You smile after seeing him getting more laid back now that everyone's resting for the rest of the day.

After getting comfortable, you show Jotaro your small collection of biology books for him, to which he happily chooses one from the pile and lays down in his bed to start reading.

"OOF!" You're surprised by the weight of the book when Karma drops it on you. This one will probably take a few days to finish.

The book Unresolved Problems in Biology contains a thorough list of the limitations of current technology hinders humanity from properly recieving more data in ceirtan studies.

The first example on the list was the lack of information on ceirtain animal species like the blue whale. While it is one of the biggest animals to ever walk on this planet, biologists have little information about it's sexuality or it's subspecies' distribution. Due to illegal hunting and other natural threats, it's possible that the whale might go extinct before being properly known for what it's worth. A fate not uncommon on the animal kingdom, according to the book.

Another interesting problem was Senescence, or or biological aging. With life expectancy gradually increasing over the years, biologists still have no solid theories about why human cells are fated to worsen over the years, some speculate that it is programmed by gene expression added with the accumulative damage of biological processes. Mental diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's are more common in the elderly, but the neural bases of such diseases are scarce, just like their treatment and management.

Huh... How would Dio's vampire cells work if he had something like cancer? Vampire cells could probably help on treating some diseases if there was a way to not turn them allergic to the sun and pragmatically evil. Maybe Karma Chameleon could help out with some of modern science's obstacles...

After a few hours of more reading, you close the book halfway and go prepare a sandwich for you.

"Hey, got a minute?" Jotaro opens the fridge to drink some apple juice.

"Sure, what is it?" You turn over to Jotaro.

"Do you wanna go out tomorrow? We won't be having any rest for a while after leaving Luxor so I thought we could grab an ice cream or something..." Jotaro bluntly asks you while taking a sip of his drink.

Well, that's a bit unexpected...

"You mean, just the two of us?" You try to make sure you understood what Jotaro's trying to say, to which he simply nods with his head. "Of course, I need some time to relax too."

"Good. Just wanted to get that out of the way." Jotaro massages his temples. "It's just that--" The teenager tries to think of what to say next, but he just ends up sighing and drinking more of his juice.

Given how many stand fights we've had so far, Jotaro is likely just as stressed as everyone else so far, if not more due to his tendency of staying quiet and never venting like the others.

"I'm listening Jotaro. Take your time." You reassure him of your full attention.

"Everyone has been surprisingly kind to me despite my attitude, that's not something I'm used to." Jotaro blurts out his thoughts. "It takes a lot of of resillience to tolerate a guy like me, and I wanted to thank you all for it but... How am I supposed to thank them now when I can barely talk?"

Jotaro's voice carries a heavy tone of frustration, as if angry at himself for not being able to comprehend his own feelings.

After a long pause, he throws you a question that you don't really want to answer

"Be honest with me Hitomi, how many people do you think we're going to lose?" Jotaro asks with a hint of pessimism.

>What do you mean 'lose'? No one's dying against Dio.

>I'm afraid some people might not survive the final fight...

"Jotaro. Believe me when I say that I would be the first one to say 'not a single one of us will die to Dio'. But that's not for me to say since I don't know anything about Dio's stand or his subordinates."

The student opens his mouth to talk back to you, but you cut him off before he had the chance.

"But none of us will just wait for Dio to kill everyone off. We're not going without a fight." You tell Jotaro in hopes of easing his worries but...

"I didn't say anything about not going down without a fight. The problem is that we're heading straight into the unknown without any planning." Jotaro lowers his brow, still feeling very pessimistic about the situation. "I'm not doubting that we can all make it, but the chances aren't in our favour if we fight one of the strongest man alive without any knowledge of him, he's the leader of all the other stand users for a reason."

You actually have to agree with Jotaro on this. If Dio's the one on top, that means his stand must be miles away from the hardest user you've fought. The mystery of his ability is something that the vampire will definetly abuse, and that's a fact that has been understandably weighing down on Jotaro.

"I did not ask for this Hitomi, I just wanted to heal my mother's condition. It's not fair to feel this amount of pressure due to a simple wish like this..." Jotaro clearly doesn't want to keep thinking about the danger that comes ahead, but that's just not feasible now that he's knee deep in the water.

>I understand where you're coming from. but you don't need to panic.

>It's ok to be scared, Jotaro. You're not the only one feeling all of this pressure.

>Do you think I asked for this?

"It's ok to be scared, Jotaro. You're not the only one feeling all of this pressure." You place a hand on his shoulder and stare him dead in the eyes.

Jotaro's feelings were always up to interpretation at first, but you've been feeling that he's been wanting to be more open with himself once he admitted to like you. His stoic and distant behavior is not something that can be fixed in a few talks, if ever. But you're pretty sure that he can at least feel more comfortable with his own emotions if you're there to help him out.

To be honest. That doesn't sound like a bad thing...

*POW*

A single green emerald hits your back, making you stumble forward to Jotaro's arms. The young boy wastes no time pulling you up into a thight hug, not even realizing that something hit you.

"Thanks a lot Hitomi." Jotaro whispers, still feeling confused, but relieved to know that someone can accept him for being more talkative.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see Hierophant Green's tentacle pulling back into the dark living room, to where Kakyoin appears to be hiding. He gives you a smirk and a wave before loudly clearling his throat.

"Whoa, 7 PM? I hope I didn't sleep through dinner." Kakyoin shouts from a distance, stepping his shoes on the floor to mimic his walking.

Snapping back to reality, Jotaro puts you back on your feet and lets you go.

"You can have a sandwich if you want Kak, Hitomi and I already had dinner." Jotaro moves over to brush his teeth in the bathroom.

"No problem. thanks for the heads up Jojo!" Kakyoin shows up after Jotaro leaves the room, spinning his sunglasses on one hand as if he just got done making the greatest stunt in history.

"You weren't watching all of that, were you?" You rub the part of your back where Hierophant Green hit you.

"Nah, I was watching TV for a while and they had the same trailer for Working Girl show up several times. One of those boring romcom movies that will probably get tons of reruns in a few years. I got bored and went up to grab some water, but seeing you two over there gave me an idea."

"You know what Kakyoin? Thanks, that was actually a pretty good idea." You congratulate him for the assist.

"You don't need to thank me for that, Hitomi. It's very clear that Jotaro likes you at this point. He's just trying to fight his stiffness."

"What do you suggest then?" You ask Kakyoin for further advice.

"You already made him pretty comfortable after that talk,so things will likely work themselves out tomorrow. I'll be hanging out with Polnareff and Iggy tomorrow if it makes you feel better. I don't wanna be look like a creep for watching you two either."

"Good grief. You know I can hear you from here, right?" Star Platinum appears to speak for his stand user while he's brushing his teeth.

"Uuuh, Good luck tomorrow then! See ya." Kakyoin opens the fridge to hide himself in embarrassment after looking around for any faster ways to disappear.

"Yeah, I think I'll go to bed after this one..." You waltz out of the room feeling even more embarrassed than Kakyoin.

hmmm... what to do about a date...? No matter where you go, there's always the threat of a stand user attacking, so no place is truly safe... if only we had our own mr. president. Something away from just duking it out with stands or going out shopping and looking at the sights. We already do that. Well, maybe some of that... Maybe we could find some headphones and a walkman with a recordable tape. dictate notes to ourself and then play them back. Or find a tape with some music on it when not using it to study. Maybe go check out the stars or something? Light pollution should be low... If we can get some ice, maybe turn some sand to ice and have ourselves a snowball fight.

huh, wonder if we could take cancer cells and DIO cells and merge them in karma, then shove them back into DIO...? Unless giving him cancer makes him stronger or something. "Oh no, we gave him cancer and now he's a fleshy, constantly growing abomination!"

Man, there's still so much we need to check with our stand...

"Are you sure this is going to work Kakyoin? I don't even have a makeup kit with me." You you express your worries to the student as you walk out of the hotel room with him.

"It's fine. I doubt a guy like Jotaro cares about that." Kakyoin locks the door behind him. "Jotaro's already waiting outside so it's best to not keep him waiting."

"What about you?"

"I was going to walk with Polnareff and Iggy but Avdol wants me to keep an eye on Mr. Joestar while he's asleep to make sure the guy is safe." Kakyoin starts walking towards Avdol's room and gives it a knock.

"But what am I supposed to do with Jotaro?" You ask, still wanting some advice.

"Just talk with him, you should be ok as long as you don't annoy him with a bad move. Good luck!" Avdol opens the door for your classmate to let him in.

You walk downstairs with a sigh, trying to think of a topic to keep Jotaro interested. Maybe you're overthinking this, it can't be that hard to hang out with Jotaro right?

Exiting the hotel, you see the tall teenager about to light his cigarette, only to put it back in his pocket after spotting you.

"Ah, Good morning Jotaro." You greet Jotaro back, which gives you a half smile after hearing your cheerful voice.

"There's a small grocery store down by the river. Let's check it out." He turns back and moves away from the hotel.

"Sure, let's get going." Naturally, you follow him over for a few minutes as your classmate guided you to the surprisingly well kept retail store. The air conditioner combined with the low sound of ambience music makes it look like something you'd find at a shopping mall.

"Nice place." Jotaro checks out the food stands at his left containing all different sorts of fruits, pastries and desserts.

On your right, you spot two big refrigerators storing a few drinks and ice creams.

On the far back of the store, you see an old dusty arcade machine reading "Pac-Man" on it. Despite the machine looking very unkept, it appears to be working just fine.

"This might sound weird, But I've always liked reading. The subjects in school never really interested me since they I thought they were too easy. I might skip a lot of classes but that's because I know I can get away with it." He explains.

"Really?"

"Yeah. In fact I could help you and Kakyoin out if you're having trouble at our inevitable finals. You both live pretty close to my house so it wouldn't be an issue." He offers.

"That would be really nice!" You reply. "What else do you like to do?"

"My dad had a lot of Clint Eastwood films back home, so I'm always down to watch his movies. My favourite movie doesn't have him in it though. Never Cry Wolf would be a bit weird with such a distinct actor." He mentions a drama movie made in 1983.

"I'll look it up once we're back in Japan." You tell him before heading to the freezer. "Anything else on your mind?"

"I'm trying to think of what will happen when we get home. I'm feeling a bit anxious to be honest." He admits. "Sure, we'll get back on school and try not to fail our classes after two months, but our stands will be a bit weird to use on everyday life."

"What do you mean?" You ask him after handing him a chocolate sundae.

"We're using them all the time to fight and train, but do you think stopping time and absorbing materials will be useful on say, doing our chores or working? I can't think of anything that would be worth the effort, especially considering how tiring it is to stop time."

Really? He's not interested in stopping time? How much strain does that do on his body for him to say that?

>I disagree, a stand like yours definetly worth keeping in shape.

>So you'll just let me get better than you? Cause I don't plan on slacking off with my stand.

"So you'll just let me get better than you? Cause I don't plan on slacking off with my stand. These things have a lot of utility, Karma herself might make a big difference for humanity if I get my degree and start working as a doctor." You provoke him while summoning Karma Chameleon to wave at him.

"Well, now that you mention it..." Jotaro ponders to himself after paying the cashier and enjoying his sundae. "Still, it would take a lot of practice to master time stopping, Star Platinum doesn't work the same way."

"What, you don't want to steal some kisses from me in the stopped time?" You wink at him to give some extra points to your flirt.

Jotaro slightly lowers his head down and stops looking at you in the eye. Did you just flatter him?

"Fine. I'll try to keep up." He mutters, seemingly convinced. "But you are right about your stand being useful. I'm surprised you haven't tried to absorb more of our stands to see what they can do."

"I've actually managed to see you stopping time when I absorbed Star Plat back in the submarine." You inform him. "I've been wanting to tell you about that to train some more, but I didn't had the time to do it."

"You're serious?" He looks a surprised to know you've managed to see through frozen time after absorbing his stand. "Can you show it to me? This could be very useful depending on the implications."

Star Platinum appears behind his stand user, waiting for your answer.

Karma Chameleon holds hands with Star Platinum and lets her skin be converted into his color scheme.

"Ready!" You shout to Jotaro and wait for him to freeze time and space.

"Star Platinum!" A loud bursting noise blasts your eardrums as the colors around the store become darker, as if nighttime sneaked up on everyone.

Jotaro approaches your frozen body with caution and closely observes your body, waiting for any sudden movements from your side.

"Can you hear me Hitomi? Start by moving your fingertips. It took a long time for me to get used to the strain, but it's easier if you begin with simpler actions."

Your fingertips start trembling slightly as you put all of your energy on them. You can't breathe or hear your heartbeat while you strain your body, so it's extra painful to try this on your own.

Before you know it, Jotaro tires out and lets time continue to flow again.

"5 seconds huh... Guess I got a new record. How did it go?" Jotaro spits out a few words in between his panting fit.

"It felt like I was really close, but not quite." You tell him.

"So that's what it was." He comments on your finger shaking during the act. "Well, no doubt about it. If you can move your fingers you'll be able to move if you keep trying. That's what I did."

"Can we try it again?" You're curious to see if you can have another shot at it.

"I can try one more time, but I gotta rest after that. Even I can't hold it in for that long." Jotaro already looks tired, but he's willing to help you out if it means you'll be able to help him during frozen time.

"Maybe later, you can take a rest for now." You tell Jotaro to lay off.

"I appreciate it." He looks relieved despite wanting to help you out.

"We're supposed to have a good time together, remember? No need to go training with our stands here, relax." You reassure him by resting your head on his shoulder.

"Yeah, you're right..." Jotaro lets you get comfortable at his side while you both call back your stands.

Before you know it, Jotaro leans down to give you a kiss on your nose.

"Hey, my mouth's not that high up! Try again!" You play with him hoping to see if he can give you a real kiss already.

"Maybe I already did." He teases you back, making you wonder if he took you seriously on stealing a kiss while time was frozen.

"Woof Woof!" You hear a familiar bark close to the shop's entrance: It's Iggy.

"What's wrong Iggy?" You look at the nervous dog cowering on the floor and wonder what happened while you were gone with Jotaro.

Iggy summons The Fool and creates a dummy of Kakyoin and Joseph to reenact what happened with them.

"Aaaaah!" The two crusaders clash into each other and dissolve into sand while a third dummy laughs behind the two.

"They're being attacked?" Jotaro asks after seeing The Fool's recreation of recent events.

"We better help them out." You wait for Iggy to show you the way to the enemy.

The Boston Terrier wastes no time and rushes towards the place where your two friends were last seen.

After a few minutes of running, Iggy sniffs around for a few blocks before finding an elderly man down on the ground covered in scrap metal and trash.

"Iggy! You came back!" Joseph is surprised to see the dog returning to assist him.

"Old man! What happened to you?" Jotaro helps his grandfather back on his feet.

"A stand user's been stalking me since yesterday! Her stand has turned me and Kakyoin into magnets." He explains while trying to walk with all the weight on him.

"Where is she?" You try to yank the metallic objects from Joseph, but they won't even move from his body.

"We're trying to corner her into a one way street. Kakyoin can't be far away from here!" Joseph points to his right before being hit by a stop sign.

"Damn. How much trash did you attract with that magnetism? You even have a power outlet on your back." You bring Karma Chameleon over to transform the metallic objects covering Joseph into stone with her conversion jewels but...

"Power outlet? NONONONONONO! Don't touch it Hitomi!" Joseph tries to prevent you from touching the AC power plug, but Karma's fingers have already touched it by the time he finished his sentence.

*BZZZZT*

You start convulsing heavily as the electricity current shocks you for 5 long seconds. The intensity of the volts eventually starts to decrease as you're sent flying into the pile of trash carried by Joseph, which once again makes him fall on the floor.

"OH SHIT! I forgot to tell you! Her stand isn't a conventional entity. It's triggered when you touch the power outlet in which it's currently placed on." Joseph says while trying to lift you up the ground.

"Only NOW you decide to tell us that?" Jotaro growls.

"She must be very close then. Her range is extremely short--" Joseph spots a white haired woman wearing a hoodie in an alleyway.

"Ahahahahaha! Even after calling for help you still manage to lose the fight, Joseph Joestar!" The woman laughs from a distance.

"There's that bitch! What did you do to Kakyoin?" Joseph curses at her.

"Who cares? he probably got crushed under a truck or something." The woman stands her ground, still mocking your group from a distance.

"You bastard..." Jotaro clenches his fist and summons Star Platinum.

"Jotaro, huh? My, it's hard to believe Hitomi has good taste in men. What a hunk!" The enemy openly tries to flirt with Jotaro. "Too bad you're all going to die by Bastet today."

Between provoking Jotaro and Iggy into attacking her, sticking you on Joseph's back and making Kakyoin disappear. It seems that this woman has the upper hand on this fight.

Hopefully that won't last for long.

"Now Hitomi, I know what you're going to say next. 'Please tell me you have a plan, Mr. Joestar!'" Your Hamon master predicts.

"Mr. Joestar, please tell me you have a--" You whine over to Joseph, who stares at you with a cocky grin after seeing your confused face.

"Ha! You should know that there are 3 things Joseph Joestar never leaves home without: Money, my prosthetic hand and a good plan!" He summons Hermit Purple's vines to lift him back up. "Hitomi, I believe there's a way to negate this magnetism if we try a good and old overdrive!"

"Just tell me where to aim!" You start filling your lungs with Hamon energy.

"Try to repel the trash upwards. I'll try to send the rest back to the ground." He charges himself with his own Hamon and sends a powerful overdrive behind him, hitting the pile of trash below him while you do the same on the other side.

Piece by piece, the large amounts of scrap metal weighing you down start to drop until the magnetism created by Bastet is next to none.

"You little shits!" Mariah angrily shouts before throwing a knife to the power cables above her. That should made things difficult for Joseph if he tried getting close with his increasing magnetism but...

"Hey Hitomi! Did you know hair's a great Hamon conductor?" Joseph spreads some of his energy on your hair, which makes it spread over your head creating a small barrier for Joseph to walk away scot free.

"Mr. Joestar, I can't see anything!" You try to look over the strands of hair covering your sights while Joseph crouch walks towards Mariah using your hair as a shield.

"I didn't expect to see some action from you Old man. Nice going there." Jotaro watches as the electrict cables do nothing to your hair barrier.

Joseph suddenly stops pushing your body after spotting a pair of high heels on the ground. That's probably where the enemy's at.

"H-Hey, You know I was joking about killing you all, right?" Mariah nervously tries to plead for her life.
"Yeah right. Like I haven't heard this my entire life." Joseph extends his purple vines beneath the woman's feet.
"I'm serious! You look really handsome now that I'm seeing you up close." Mariah eyes the real state tycoon up and down. "I've been with a lot of guys your age actually, even Dio can't keep up with big guy like you."
"Really now?" Joseph ponders while Mariah pulls down her shirt down to better expose her cleavage.
*BEEP BEEP*
"AAAAAAAH!"
"Just kidding!" Mariah stalled Joseph long enough to distract him from the truck flying behind you.
She leaps away to reveal another surprise: Another pile of trash with what sounds like Kakyoin screaming for help inside of it.
"Sorry, but it takes more than superficial charm to seduce a guy like me." Joseph leaps along with Mariah while carrying you to safety, using Hermit Purple to fling the stand user back to her own death trap.

The impact crushes every bone on her body, making her go uncoscious in a matter of seconds as Bastet's ability deactivates, freeing Kakyoin from the trash ball.

"To sum things up, the skank tried to crush Gramps, but he was smart enough to see it coming." Jotaro explains.

"Hey, this is my first win on the entire journey. No need to downplay me like that!" Joseph complains.

"You still got a long way to go to reach first place in the ranking list. At this point you'll be luck to pass Iggy." Jotaro chuckles.

"Where would I be on the ranking list?" You ask to Jotaro, which picks up a pen and paper from his coat pockets.

"Let's see... Your first win was against Kakyoin, followed by Gray Fly and the Polnareff, so if we add those other two... Here." Jotaro hands you his leaderboard after making some calculations.

H: 11 wins, 10 assists.
J: 11 wins, 6 assists.
P: 10 wins, 5 assists.
A: 4 wins, 3 assists.
K: 3 wins, 8 assists.
I: 2 wins, 2 assists.
OM: 1 win, 8 assists.

"Nailed it!" You do a fist pump after seeing you in first place.

"You only won by a few assists, I bet I can still win against you." Jotaro scoffs.

"Don't want to ruin the fun here, but can we talk about this later? I don't even want to know my score..." Joseph looks away from the paper.

"Fine, but what about Pol and Avdol? Kakyoin said they would take a walk with Iggy." You look at the canine stand user, who's nonchalantly eating some canned food in Mariah's grave.

"They're probably waiting for us back at the hotel. Let's tell them the good news." Joseph gives the order, walking back to the hotel to look for the duo.

...

"Good grief..." After a thorough search inside the hotel, Jotaro confirms that neither of them are there.

"Maybe we should look for them, just to see if they're not in any danger." Joseph suggests.

"I think we should split up to cover more ground, sticking together would be an issue in case they're really in trouble." You suggest to the group.

"Fair point. We'll find them in no time if we go one by one, but that means we need to be even more cautious..." Kakyoin says.

"Come on, even if we only find one of them it's still going to be a 2 versus one fight against whatever user they might have found. The chances are in our favour regardless of our numbers." Jotaro points out.

"Let's split up then. I'm feeling a bit more confident after the last fight, so it wouldn't hurt to face off another user, right?" Joseph also votes for splitting up the group.

"Woof!" Iggy opens the door to the hotel and starts sniffing for clues, hoping to find Polnareff and Avdol before anyone else.

I'd like to ask something before going to bed.
Would you guys be ok with playing some fights if Hitomi's not the Player Character on the arc?
I don't plan on doing that often, just in specific cases so a major fight doesn't just turn into a briefing.
The best example I can think of atm is if Hitomi get's too injured to fight Dio. I could just switch the perspective to another crusader so you anons could fight with him instead.
It's just a random thought but it might spice things up as we get further into the story.
>>
>>2357574
Thats fine for me, theres arcs in stardust that arent from Jotaros perspective and such so i dont see why we wouldnt.

October 10th, 1988.

Splitting up from everyone to find the 2 missing members of your traveling party, you walk aimlessly around Luxor in hopes of finding either Avdol or Polnareff.

"Let's see... Where would I be if I was an egyptian fortune teller who had to babysit a childish frenchman for a day?" You ponder to yourself, searching far and wide in the busy streets of Egypt.

After what feels like an hour, you spot a weird looking candlestick floating above the ground. Weird how no one around is paying any attention to it...

On closer inspection, the weird candlestick appears to be slowly moving away from you and right into a plain looking-neighborhood.

Something's definitely not normal about that, but you're not sure if you want to investigate it now that you're looking for your absent friends.

There's only one stand you know who can control flames: Magician's Red, so the odds of finding Avdol by following that thing are pretty high.

The moment you start moving towards the candlestick, it starts blazing through the sky like a deflating baloon, making it hard for you to keep up in your current walking speed.

You shift into a full sprint, following the fire ward wherever it went.

Before running into the following neighborhood, the flames suddenly break into as stop next to a small apartment. You would wonder what really caused that sudden halt if you didn't bump into a small child due to not paying attention to him.

"Ow! Why did you do that, lady? I'm gonna tell my mom!" The dark skinned kid gets back up with the help of a small humanoid bird he summoned. After getting up, the egyptian boy fumbles over clothes which clearly weren't meant to fit on a small kid like him. "It's all due to that other kid's fault!"

"Sorry about th-- ...Avdol?" You raise an eyebrow at the kid, who has a strikingly resemblance to the 28 year old man you've been traveling with.

"Yes, I am!" The kid instinctively perks up to say his catchphrase. "Wait a minute, how do you know my name?"

"Don't you recognize me?" He stares at your face for a moment before trying to guess your name.

"Hila!" The small Avdol confidently squeaks.

"Not even close. What happened to you anyway? And what was that about another kid bothering you?" You ignore his memory slip and try to ask him about what's really important.

"That stupid white-haired kid got caught by a big scary man with an axe! I tried running after him with Birdie's radar but he only led me to this building." Avdol explains.

"Birdie?" You try not to giggle after hearing what Magician's Red's original name was.

Childish banter aside, it seems Avdol and Pol found a stand that can turn them into kids.

Gotta be careful. If we get hit by Set, we immediately lose pretty much all avenues of attack. No Stand, no Hamon, and nothing to fall back on. I doubt we've got Kid Jotaro levels of strength and autism, so Hitomi will be hard pressed during this fight.

"Did you see how he turned you into a kid?" You ask the magician prodigy.
"What the heck do you mean by that? I've always been a kid." He replies, apparently not remembering his transformation.
It appears that whatever hit Avdol had an effect on his memory too.
"Nevermind that, did you really think you would win if you fought him by yourself?" You question his bold move.
"Of course, even if the bad man got a dumb kid, he's still innocent." Avdol proudly pounds his chest, showing his strong sense of justice even as a 5 year old.
"That's pretty brave of you, but I hope you don't mind if I join you on this fight." You summon your stand to place the young Avdol on your shoulder before entering the building. "Come, little 'Dol."
"Polnareff, Where are yoooou?~" You hear a creepy voice coming from the floor above you.
"That's him! Hurry Hila, he could be in danger." He points to the staircase to your right.
"My name's not Hila!" You walk up the stairs to search for Polnareff.
That's not good, you're not hearing any voices on this floor. Could the enemy be hiding from you?

"Hey Avdol, you think you could use your life detector thing here?" You whisper over to the kid on your shoulder.

"Here you go." He summons his life detector with Magician's Red, it's fire guiding you to the third room from your left.

You successfully walk on your tippy toes to reach the fire radar without making any noise and place your eye on the keyhole.

"Gotcha!" A high pitched voice speaks from the inside, breaking the keyhole by thrusting a sharp blade on it.

You barely manage to avoid the attack from permanently damaging your cornea and enter the room to hold the enemy in place with Karma Chameleon.

"Let go of me you bastard! You're not killing either of us today!" A 4 year old Polnareff kicks your stomach while using Silver Chariot's rapier to poke you, which feels more like a cat clawing on a curtain compared to the building buster Chariot at his peak.

"Shhh! Polnareff, it's me!" You shake him on your arms, waiting for the young boy to relax.

"Oh, you're that girl, right? H-Hi-He...Heather!" He retracts his stand after recognizing you.

"What a dumb kid, he can't even get Helga's name right!" Avdol laughs while also getting your name wrong.

"Ok, now you're doing it on purpose." You place both of them back on the ground, with Polnareff walking over to an aquarium to check under a blanket a few steps behind him.

"What's in that blanket?" you peek over Polnareff's shoulder to see what he is carrying.

"A pretty lady was taking care of me while I hid from Alessi. She spent too much time standing in his shadow and, well..." He unwraps the blanket to reveal a fetus about the size of your hand trembling inside.

"What!?" You step back after seeing what the enemy's stand is capable of doing. What twisted monster would turn adults into fetuses to kill them off?

"She won't survive for longer than 5 minutes unless we turn her back into an adult again!" Polnareff sobs.

"Do you know where he is?" You try to recover from the shock of seeing a live fetus staring at you.

"Polnareff? Is that you~?" You hear loud footsteps coming from outside the room. Did he hear your voice?

You move behind the doorway while shooing the children away from you. Ok, so his name is Alessi and his stand's a shadow that reverts your age. If he's the one coming your way, you only have one shot at him before the guy turns you into a kid too.

"Pardon me." You drop down from the window, not wanting Alessi to have any advantage if he tries to run away.

"Wheeee!" Avdol follows your move, jumping out the window and taking Polnareff with him.

"NO! WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU IDIOT!?" Polnareff angrily screams at his friend.

"Damn it!" You leap with Karma Chameleon to catch the two of them before they managed to kill themselves. Oddly enough, Avdol and Pol start to weigh on your shoulder after a few seconds.

"Hey, we're baAaAack!" You collapse under the two men as they go back to their 20s.

"Sorry about that. Well, for a lot of things actually." Avdol speaks to himself after reminiscing how irresponsible he was when he was a kid.

"Oh no..." Alessi panics after seeing the effects of his stand wearing off.

"Red Bind!" Magician's Red conjures up a fire rope to prevent Alessi from escaping. "Did you really think you could beat the two of us?"

"Not in a million years." Silver Chariot appears next to Avdol's stand. "What do you say Avdol? Can you heat me up for a bit?"

Avdol's stand emits a strong flame from his mouth, turning Pol's sharp blade into a steaming rapier.

"Merci Avdol!" The Chariot picks up Alessi and throws him up in the air to deliver a fierce slashing attack, sending him even higher while the burst of flames from Avdol turn him into a human firecracker.

"NOT AGAAAAAIN!" Alessi flies away into the distance with a loud screech.

"No kidding, I just wanted to chill out with Jotaro today." You roll your eyes after remembering your date being cut short. "At least I got another win finding you guys."

"What list?" Avdol looks a bit puzzled after hearing the last part of your statement.

"I'll tell you when we get back to the hotel." You explain. "I loved seeing you two as kids though! Why didn't you tell me about being so cute back then?"

"Heh, It was an embarassing phase for me, I thought it would diminish my character if you guys heard me about my whiny kiddie stuff." Avdol laughs.

"Huh? Yeah, yeah..." Polnareff still refuses to pay attention, still staring at the building.

"Oh right. You can take a look at her if you want, Pol." You mention the woman who took care of the frenchman, who probably has no clue about what happened in the last 15 minutes.

"I don't know. It might be awkward to explain what happened to a non-stand user. Besides, you know how I'm usually better off alone--" Polnareff starts putting things into perspective before seeing an egyptian woman his age exiting out the apartment.

"Excuse me! My name is Malena, have you seen a little boy around here? His hair was silver, just like yours..." Malena's speech gets weaker after recognizing Polnareff's face.

"..." Polnareff blushes in silence, hiding his heart-shaped earring from the woman, which was holding the late Sherry's last gift to his brother in her left hand.

"I'm sorry, have we met before?" Malena places a hand on her forehead, hoping to hear a yes from Polnareff.

"P-Polnaref?" She stutters after hearing his name.

"...Guys, do you mind if I take some time off before going with you?" Polnareff sighs.

"Tsk-Tsk. Not at all friend, take your time." Avdol waves his finger.

"Alright, I guess I owe you an explanation." Polnareff places a hand on Malena's shoulder. "Do you need any help? Your house is probably a mess after what happened."

"I appreciate the offer. You're too kind, Polnareff!" Malena smiles to the traveler as they head back inside.

"Can you add another win to the list now?" You ask Jotaro.

"You're not going to keep this up until we defeat Dio, right?" Jotaro's weary of your competitive side.

"Maybe." You give him a smug look. "Anyway, did anything happen while I was off?"

"The Foundation called again. They said Billy woke up and gave away where Dio's hiding." Joseph reveals. "Apparently it's a yellow mansion somewhere in Cairo, but he didn't write down the coordinates."

"It's still better than wandering around aimlessly for 3 days in Cairo." Kakyoin points out. "I don't wanna get attacked by another stand user again, that's Polnareff's thing."

"Speaking of Pol, today was supposed to be our day, aint that right Jotaro?" You remind the teenager, which clears his throat and speaks up.

"Right. I didn't even get to say what I wanted to. Could you guys leave us alone for a minute?" Jotaro looks at the other 3 stand users.

"But I haven't talked about the other piece of informati--"

"Out. Now." Jotaro raises his voice to his grandfather, prompting him, Kakyoin and Avdol to walk away in unison, leaving both of you alone on the bench.

>So, Where were we?

>Wow, rude.

>What did you want to say to me?

>Write-in.

"Wow, rude."

"Just trying to speed things up." Jotaro says.

"Alright then. Where were we?" You decide it's best to let this one slip by. Something's probably going to interrupt him if you two wait any longer.

"Hitomi, I admit that I'm difficult to work with sometimes." Jotaro starts. "Having a mother who coddled me my whole life and barely having a dad made me extremely self-aware about my flaws. It's why I try me best to keep people at a distance."

He takes off his hat and leans down to approach your face.

"But no matter how many times I tried to push you away, you never let go. I thought you were just going to be another chick who saws me as good looking but walked away after noticing I'm not the bad boy she wanted. You gave your best and tried to understand me. It's something that made me reevaluate my attitude."

Jotaro finally confessed to what you suspected the entire time. Under the mask of the stoic, cool looking Jotaro is a confused and impulsive young man, desperately trying to fit into a group with barely any social skills due to lack of a proper role model.

"You're changing me Hitomi, and it's a good change for once in my entire life." He gently places a hand on your chin. "I want to improve, even if it takes years to reach a place where I'm satisfied with myself. I'll do it in a heartbeat if it means being able to properly show how much I cherish you."

>Shush (Kiss him).

>I'm here for you, Jotaro.

>I'm not leaving until you learn to say 'I love you'.

>Write-in.

"Hey, you know I'm not leaving you until I hear the 3 magic words from you right?" You tease him despite being unable to take your eyes off his lips.

"Yeah, I thought so." Jotaro backs away and waits in silence for the words to come out of his mouth as if it was any harder than stopping time or fighting an undead vampire. "Alright. I L--"

You lean close to his face and give him a kiss. His eyes go wide from the surprise, but he downplays his tension to enjoy the moment.

The love Jotaro has so much difficulty expressing through words becomes a lot clearer through his actions. From caressing your hair to playing with your tongue, you can tell his soft lips don't want to let you go, as if he wanted to stay like this forever.

Sadly, all good things come to an end. You back away from Jotaro after running out of breath, seeing his trademark half-smile when you open your eyes again.

"Too slow!" You tell your boyfriend, making sure he understood the reason you didn't wait for him.

"I... See." He responds before putting his hat back on. "So, how are you feeling?"

"I feel like kicking Dio's ass!" You point Northwest, where the group's heading tomorrow.

"Really? Me too." He stands up. "I'm looking forward to see how things will turn out after that asshole's dead. Come, let's meet the old man again. Polnareff's probably back at this point."

He holds your hand as you both walk towards the group. Happy to finally wrap things up before the real battle begins.

That's all I got for the week. Thanks for showing up everyone!
Not gonna lie, it's hard for me to believe we have 5 enemies left before DIO, I can genuinely remember the first few threads like it was yesterday.

We won't be having another session next week since I have to study for exams and all, but I'm happy to see this thread had many great moments despite my irl constraints.

Feel free to ask anything or share some of your thoughts. I'm always eager to read them.

Did Pol get lucky
>>
>>2361116
What is Dio thinking right now?Is he becoming desperate now that the crusaders are so close?

Has josuke already benn saved by not-himself and copied his own hairstyle?

What was your favorite stand fight in this quest?

How prepared are the crusaders to face Dio in a scale of 1 to 10?

He's pretty eager to meet Hitomi and the others, if not actually rooting for them all to reach him in one piece. Similar to Jonathan, Dio wants to see how far Hitomi can go before she runs out of luck.

Yep.

Lovers, with Satanic Coupler and Dark Mirage being a close second.

If the group was a 5 in canon, I'd give him an 8 on this quest.
>>
>>2361207

On a scale of 1-10...

How annoyed would Jotaro be if Alessi ambushed him and Joseph, Jotaro was somehow forced to see how Young Joseph's plothax saved the day?
>>
>>2361207
hohoho... if we get out of this, maybe our kid will be able to have someone to play with, huh?

lovers was a good fight.

So, what's jotaro's priorities lookin' like? like, on a list, how are his mother, the ocean, his cigs, hitomi, and his hat ranked? And how does hitomi at the beach rank?

Light 6. It would be annoying for him but not that far off from what he had to put through with Polnareff and Hitomi.
Hitomi>Mom>Ocean>Hat>Cigs. Jotaro only started smoking to master the cigarette trick Oingo did, so it's not like he's addicted to it.
Hitomi went from a 6 to a 9 after the Hamon training sculpted her body down. Expect some weird looks from her parents when she comes back home

This is some real "playing god" territory, but if we turned back DIO's clock enough, would we end up with an alive Jonathan Joestar? (Who would instantly become dead due to modern-day illnesses entering an 1800s body but still)

>>2362068
That's still up in the air since we have 11 years before DiU but judging from your ideas she'll either be a caring family woman, a legendary doctor or a broken mess
>>
>>2362078
Oh fuck lets hope its a mix of the first two

Though I imagine broken mess could definitely be interesting too
>>
>>2362078
>caring family woman, a legendary doctor or a broken mess
All of the above. Doctor FrankHitomi. Making monsters out of people stands, injecting herself with vampire cells, making Joyline into a pretty lady and getting some pillar-men parts in her body.

Do you guys think that any Foundation employees have written up a book (or at least a compilation of studies) about the biology of pillar men and vampires?
I can see Hitomi unironically wanting to read that. It'd be really damn interesting, all memes aside.
>>

Everyone would be wary of her reckless pushing of evolutionary limits and experimentation with both her biology and her stand. Maybe even Jotaro. But nobody would be able to say that she wasn't a good mother to Jolyne.
