The Raiders – Part 45

With your powers and spells nearly restored to the fullest capacity – one spell expended to once more hide your spell book in the realm of the noosphere, the Astral Plane itself – and your items equally restored to their full potency, you take Lywedra and Yzia's hands in yours and concentrate upon the cuffs you about your ankles to activate their teleportation power. Yashi's spells don't prevent you from moving through space to the encampment, and you arrive in the midst of the place, much to the shock of a number of slaves working to prepare a meal for the others.

Well, the others and yourselves now, of course.

Lywedra runs her thumb along your gloved hand before releasing it, while Yzia doesn't drop your hand at all, instead choosing to move closer and lean into you, a curvaceous and glimmering creature of alabaster and silver. You gesture to the very lovely tent and the glistening walls of the slave pens. “Home away from home,” you declare for the powerfully built warrior, who smiles gratefully. She takes note of the numerous slaves and give you an odd look. “Not mine; mostly Tzanzi and Yashi's, with a number of Falna's. I still have but the three, and Yzia's princess.”

With a soft laugh the warrior inclines her head, and you walk into the tent. The others are indeed up, and donning armor and weapons for the most part. You and Yzia receive cursory glances, but Lywedra garners quite a bit of attention from everyone. You make quick and very basic introductions telepathically, flavoring the thoughts with your understanding and nuanced knowledge of her skills and abilities, as well as 'describing' those of your Cadre. Tzanzi, of course, knows Lywedra personally, and vice versa; Yashi, of course, is fascinated by the new toy, while Lywedra is smitten with the twins immediately.

I do love that our playmates seem to like one another, Yzia murmurs in your mind, nuzzling you affectionately.

Incorrigible sybarite, you reply in a personal comment even as you encourage them to get to know each other better. To the group you finally speak aloud, introductions finished. “Tzanzi, myself, and Yzia will be running an errand today. Auena and Lywedra will be training Kteine and Schechei, while Yashi will be performing a special and involved project. Has Falna's properties been dealt with?”
>>
Kteine frowns, and Schechei looks annoyed. “To an extent, Leader. The Gardeners have taken much of her wealth in hand; her debts are extensive and far flung, throughout the Stronghold; but we have retained most of her slaves and a fair sum of her matériel.” Kteine's assessment is backed by Schechei. “Her properties have all reverted back tot he stronghold save her Arboretum and her Vault, which we retain until they may be cleared.”

“Those will likely have to wait for a while. Still, your retention of her matériel and slaves was a good choice. We'll have wealth enough soon.” Kteine glances at Schechei who looks very smug. The slaves start to enter, bringing trays of fruits, meats, and the small amounts of vegetation and tubers your species find palatable. Settling down, you start off by feeding Yzia by hand, rather than eating for yourself.

You're almost nervous. That's a bit new. You decide that making your requests of Yashi as she eats using telepathy would take less time than explaining it verbally; her vast intelligence is still a match for yours, maybe more so.

[] Leave immediately for the elan's temple after breakfast.

Siobhan is looking forward to how Lywedra copes with your Cadre's all female structure....

As you feed Yzia as well as yourself, taking your time for no reason other than to enjoy the opportunity, you explain to Yashi what you need of her, allowing Yzia to 'overhear' on purpose. I want you to turn your potent divinations on the human kingdom. Specifically, upon the githzerai that is protecting the princess of that kingdom. Unfortunately, all I have are third hand impressions and information – I have no personal experiences with them, nor did Dunzamn. But any and all divinations you can use to learn about the enemy will be useful, even if it is indirect information.

I shall do what I can, Akko, but to be honest what information you have given is less than nothing to seize upon. However, the location itself is clear enough; it is doubtful that they will move her, given the defense was so successful. You make note of the types of information she would prefer next time, her rich and vibrant telepathy explaining more in a few thoughts and images than a complete and annotated dissertation might. It will take time as well, doing it this way. But what information there is to be had, you will receive. Her words are nearly a promise.

I will see that you are amply rewarded- You are interrupted with images of her servicing/being forced to service you and Yzia at the same time. -in one way or another, you finish, amusement trickling through your thoughts. And not a little desire as well, admittedly. She's a delectable and very skilled plaything.

You direct your thoughts to Lywedra and Auena. I would like their training to be split between the two of you. While their base skills are those of mine and Yzia, I would like Kteine to have access to the wide variety of weapons training Lywedra had, and I would like Schechei to have more close quarters combat training against a mage-killer, as the enemy is unforgiving and uses such tactics well. They also need training in backing up one another; I do not want them fighting as a unit, but more cooperation would be good for them

Lywedra and Auena continue eating as you converse with them silently. It is Lywedra who poses the first question. If she is a gish and your acolyte, Akko, what is it that you would wish me to train Schechei in? She seems comfortable with her weapon, and while I can give her the type of training you suggested Auena give her, I fail to see how she would benefit from my expertise except in the most general way.
>>
Surprisingly, it is Auena who answers. She is somewhat brusque and arrogant in her techniques. She lacks a certain level of fear in her combat style that prompts her to engage in close quarters immediately. She glances sidelong at you, a little apologetically. It would not be an issue if she had the skill to back up that arrogance. I think Falna has taught her some bad habits.

Part of it is that her spell techniques are close combat intensive, rather than the battlefield affecting forces I prefer. Have her use the Arcane Mark as her spell of choice during training, and you'll quickly see where the real flaws and issues are likely to be. Yzia leans into you and runs her hand along your armored thigh. Otherwise, you may teach what you wish. You will definitely have your hands full. When I return, perhaps before I face the githzerai, I will give Auena the benefit of my own skills. Yzia teasingly suggests that you do so in bed, while Siobhan thrums softly in your mind, amused by Yzia's suggestion. I think that you, Lywedra, will enjoy tutelage by Tzanzi.

It would be a pleasure and an honor, she replies honestly.

I look forward to your attentions, Akko, Auena murmurs earnestly, much to Yzia's, Siobhan's, and Lywedra's amusement. Her cheeks flush a soft violet, and you smile at her.

“Schechei, Kteine. You are to take your training quite seriously. Yzia and I will heal any wounds you receive, and those you inflict. The enemy is unforgiving, and so too are your teachers. But they will not press you beyond your capabilities.” They salute you and you salute them back. “As gish, I expect you to give as good as you receive; if you do well, you will be allowed to participate when Tzanzi and I train Auena and Lywedra.” That gets them excited; between Tzanzi's reputation and the fact that they've seen you fight, the offer to take their training to an even higher level of skill is one they can't refuse. “I will not give your teachers anything more than a vague outline of what I believe is needed – Auena and Lywedra are quite skilled enough to learn what you need in the course of your first day.”

“What will Yashi be doing?” asks Kteine curiously.
>>
Research,” Yashi replies for herself, and that rich, sultry voice sends shivers down your spine – and not just yours, as always, though Tzanzi seems as immune as ever to the strange, dulcet voice. Lywedra blushes darkly, and you suppress the smile that threatens to cross your lips. Yashi undoubtedly notices as well, because she continues. “Suffice to say, I will be busy all this morning, and likely into the evening. I will serve this Cadre well, you may rely upon it.” Lywedra shudders and looks away, clearly troubled by the effect Yashi's voice has on her.

Kteine seems satisfied, and she and Schechei share a thought, while Yzia sighs and drapes herself over you. “Tzanzi, we'll be leaving immediately after this meal, if you are prepared.” She inclines her head and smiles, her scarred lips twisting the smile into more of a grimace.

“I have all I need prepared, thought there is the question of payment.”

[] That will be debated, but if you can spare diamonds for the spell, it would be helpful.
[] I suspect mere wealth won't be enough for this creature, honestly.
[] We can discuss that on our way there; not in front of the childer, please.

I suspect Tzanzi doesn't like being indebted to anyone
>>

If she's in debt with Akko, how is she supposed to top properly? We can't have that.

You have formalized the deal with the elan, yes, but Tzanzi is more wary, and means her debt to you.

Thanks for clarifying, we should definitely sort it after leaving then.
>>
>>2346399
It's a tricky question, like is Tzanzi feeling that she owes us for the full price of a Wish, or does she feel like she owes us "just" for the risk we're taking by associating with the Elan more, and is she weighing in the risk of discovery by using our powers on Schechei as oppsed to letting the Elan fix her?
If it's the former, I'm not really sure what she can feasibly pay us, given her feelings of Wishes being best spent on other stuff, and if the latter I'm not really sure how to properly quantify that at all. Also I'm not really sure what Akko wants beyond more rare shiny things and also cute slave girls, and if that would even be an appropriate form of payment.

[XX] We can discuss that on our way there; not in front of the childer, please.
[X] Oh, I am sure I can think of some way you may repay me....a few ways, in fact!

You tilt your head, studying your friend. She's quite serious, and while the price you asked of Skattish the elan was Tzanzi's healing, the idea of being that deeply indebted to you doesn't appeal to her at all. Friendship goes only so far; the idea of you taking this risk for her sake undoubtedly leaves a foul taste in her mouth.

“Really Tzanzi, not in front of the childer; you will give them terrible ideas.” Kteine grins, while Schechei – predictably – bristles at the joke. Tzanzi smiles faintly, and makes a slightly rube gesture to you. Yashi, on the other hand, has some rather specific and very intriguing ideas, and some of them might even be plausible. She's sharing them with you, but you share them with Yzia; Siobhan knows them the instant they're in your mind of course. 'We may discuss it on our way. There is no reason not to; though to be sure, any repayment you will make to me will be less important than the efforts you make in the pogrom against the enemy.”

Lywedra smiles at you fondly, and that interests Yashi as well; she is well aware that you are dedicated to the cause, but Yashi is undoubtedly going to find a great deal of interest in her infatuation with you. You could warn her, you suppose, but she probably knows Yashi by reputation as well. Lywedra was far more in tune with the local goings-on of the Stronghold than you tend to be. Well, tended to be; you have reason to keep abreast now.

“Be good childer,” you tell your Cadre, “and if so, I will give Auena a spanking.” Auena looks alarmed and Yashi's mental amusement washes over all of you save Tzanzi.

“I thought such discipline was for the ill-mannered or ill-tempered,” Lyewedra comments mildly.

Yzia leans over and murmurs rather loudly in her ear. “I shall have to introduce you to a new delight, then. I have a certain slave whom is very fond of being spanked.”

“Speaking of which, I offered to turn her over to Dannae for a certain amount of time, to assist her in recovering from an illness. Azrath and Dannae would appreciate it, and she would be well paid for in return for the using.” Yzia quizzically checks your meaning of the word 'use' and your healing and therapy suggestions cause her to nod. “Not that she cannot take care of herself, of course, but such a lovely creature in public would attract a great deal of attention. I recommend an escort there and back.”

I can perform such a duty,” Yashi comments mildly. More to watch Lywedra's reactions than for any need to speak aloud. Lyw definitely reacts, and squirms in place. The others are only slightly better off; you're definitely not. She seems to be intensifying the power of her voice on purpose, something you were not aware she could do. Unless a Phantasm of some sort....? “I can make if very clear we are not to be....molested.

The word makes your center clench, liquid heat erupting within your flesh from the carefully enunciated word. You shrug off the spell – and you are very certain it is a spell – and calm yourself. Yzia is laughing at you inside your mind, of course, even as she toys with your decorated hair. Siobhan is all excited as well, not unaffected by the spell. Poor Lywedra is practically beside herself, and the twins aren't any better off. Tzanzi is leaning close to Auena and whispering very quietly in her ear, making her blush darkly.

“You are not doing a very good job at the moment,” you murmur, much to Yashi and Yzia's amusement. You can hear and smell a slave nearby suffering from the effects of that beautiful, rich voice. “I think you may have earned that spanking yourself.”

Yashi's mental image of you and Yzia taking turns with leather straps on opposite sides of her as she is bent over and performing on Lywedra is far too detailed for your comfort, and you give her the lightest of mental swats, making her jerk and shiver. “Yzia, Tzanzi, if you will? Please do as you were bid, Yashi; these poor lovelies will need time away from your wicked voice.” You salute them all, and receive salutes in return, though a couple are quite shaky. Yashi rises, and her hand barely luffs the soft ebony hair of your newest warrior.

Kteine shudders and Schechei looks nearly ill; you smile and take your leave of them. You have my permission to take enough time with your slaves, each other, or yourselves to relive the pressures our Spellcaster seems to have inflicted upon you all. The relief and appreciation the thought earns you is lovely and in at least one case, admiring. You add a simple personal warning to that last. You would be ill-advised to love me, my pretty Lyw. It seems to end badly. Her embarrassment and shame is deliciously palpable.

Once out of earshot, you look at Tzanzi and Yzia.

[] Have Yzia Teleport you – you can use the time it takes her to fly the rest of the way to discuss Tzanzi's 'payment'.
[] You have the labyrinth Skattish made for you memorized – you can use your cuffs to Teleport directly there.

[X] Step into the cloud that protects your sub-Lair, and let Tzanzi relieve you of some of the tension Yashi built in you....the bratling.

[X] Have Yzia fly you out of the Lair, make others wonder what you are up to while you discuss with Tzanzi her payment. Then Teleport.

The mystic clouds conjured by your Spellcaster prevent visual and Scrying methods o seeing through them, but that is all they prevent. Stepping inside the billowing, pearlescent mists is harmless, but the spell is one way for other magics. Visually, it works in both directions, so leaving at a breakneck pace can be dangerous. Flight is often conducted at a breakneck pace, so flying out of the cloud is unwise as well.

You have a different purpose for the cloud.

Once within it you turn and wrap your arms around Tzanzi's neck, and kiss her quite fiercely. Yzia, diving your intent through strictly observation, moves behind you, pressing herself into your armor from behind in a manner that would be terribly uncomfortable and possibly outright painful for mortal flesh and blood. Her kisses along the back of your neck are soothing, rather than arousing, and Tzanzi reciprocates your kiss in a slower, deep and attentive manner.

The heat within you subsides only slowly; wearing so much armor makes it difficult at best to do anything more than kiss. When Tzanzi and Yzia, through some unspoken agreement, place them mouths on either side of your neck and bite close to bruisingly hard, it is even more relaxing. The feel of hard spurs and tiny fangs against your flesh, given by your dragon and your friend, reduces desperate need to something more manageable, like soft, glowing heat that radiates from your center.

“If we had time....” you murmur huskily.

Tzanzi pulls her mouth away without opening it much, leaving paired tracks along your skin from her spurs and making you squirm in the double embrace. “But we do not,” she murmurs softly. “There will be time later, and I, for one, am looking forward to experiencing the joys held in your mind for myself, Akko.” It is true that you are equally curious as to how the near feral warrior feels and thinks; you did not make her acquaintance until long after her injuries and notoriety. Yzia suckles hard and the delicate keening noise you make is answered by a soft, liquid chirrup from Tzanzi.

When she pulls away, it is after having left a dark bruise of violet along your neck. You shudder and lean back into her, holding yourself up with hands clasped behind Tzanzi's neck, the taller githyanki looking down at you with an amused expression. “I will hold you to that,” you inform her, finally releasing her from your grasp. “Yzia, do you wish to change your form? I personally think an impressive exit is called for.”

She definitely likes the impression you give her, so she steps outside the shimmering fog, Tzanzi and yourself following. The lovely aasimar dissolves away as she changes on the other side of the fog, at the edge of the mezzanine that serves as your lookout point. Inevitably, she attracts attention. A massive, glowing dragon in a dark cave will do that, especially with clouds to light up.

You and Tzanzi mount her, though this time you take the foremost seat along her back, and Tzanzi the next. Normally you would ride among the branches of her horns, but you can't use telepathy to speak with Tzanzi from afar, especially while in flight.

You feel Yzia's muscles ripple and shift as she leaps from the edifice and into the air, soaring at speed though the Lair. The powerful wing-beats and shifting magical forces that afford her flight ripple between your legs, and you remind yourself to enjoy a ride bareback sometime soon. Yzia laughs inside your mind and thinks that would be a lovely precursor to an intimate experience....especially if she remained draconiform, rather than humaniform, as you have threatened to pleasure her as.

The size difference is not too much more daunting.

You lean back into Tzanzi, who leans forward, your armors protecting both of you and actually making the positions slightly more comfortable rather than less by giving you support against the dragon's intense flight. “You understand that this is a selfish act on my part, and not one you should consider yourself indebted by? It is of little enough moment to do this task the elan demanded of me, as Yashi and Auena have vetted the crystal quite thoroughly.”

“Nevertheless, Akko, I would not embark upon a new journey, whole of body and mind, indebted to my friend.” She smiles against your ear, and you nuzzle back just a bit. “And I do know it is because I am your friend that you do this. It is no waste in your mind, but to me it is profligate.”

“Such big words for a mere murderer to know,” you tease, and she laughs softly.

[] Very well. Diamonds and rubies and sapphires, all cut and pretty for me to enchant.
[] I need for nothing, Tzanzi – all I want now, I have now.
[] Tell me why you demand I accept repayment for this if you know it is no waste? Surely there is more to it.
[] Enough mithril, deep crystal, and of your own blood for me to forge a Silver Sword worthy of you.
[] What would you offer me, to pay this 'debt', my darling?

Like Skattish seems to be at a level where healing Tzanzi is virtually an afterthought, so I'm not really sure it makes sense for Tzanzi to owe us the flat price of a Wish, if there is such a thing, but I'm open to her thoughts on the matter.

I'm happy to forge her a Sword, it'd be strange not to make her one at this point assuming she wants one. Is it the best suggestion for payment though?
>>
>>2346529
>>2346555
Actually instead of the little more than our time, since that's probably dismissive
>What is it she feels she owes us, what we are paying Skattish in her stead, or whatever else Skattish would hypothetically offer if we needed a different incentive?
I mean I can't really think of anything else except Schechei, and we took care of that on our own (even if we arguably shouldn't have)

>[] What would you offer me, to pay this 'debt', my darling?

This doesn't seem terribly different from

to me.

Blood is precious, andusually one does not use the materiel of the githyanki in question, as they could include enchantments, traps, or spells of their own in the process. That might not be a threat with Tzanzi, but the blood is a potent tool in the forging process.
>>
>>2346572
Yeah that's fair enough then.
>>
>>2346575
Fair enough, no harm bringing it up anyway.

Teleport Mishap check.

Wonder how Akko would handle Gnolls.

Something something pesudopenis.

Hopefully that's good!

I'm having a hard time imagining Gnolls registering on any level to be honest. They're hardly gonna compete with her overpowered self, and they're not exactly the peak of civilization either.
>>
[XX] What would you offer me, to pay this 'debt', my darling?
[X] Enough mithril, deep crystal, and of your own blood for me to forge a Silver Sword worthy of you.

You consider that, but in the end, there's far too little you actually need. Gems are useful for enchantment and magic, but it isn't as though you won't have enough for those purposes after the raid. The debt you technically owe her could be wiped out, of course, but why wouldn't you go on a raid of her choice anyways? Matériel is almost pointless; you have plenty and will earn more killing the githzerai.

“What is it that you would offer me, Tzanziarette, that could possibly be worth the gift I offer to grant you in my own stead?” She shrugs mildly and you sigh in exasperation. “Truthfully, do you believe if there was ought I desired, that I could not have demanded it from the elan myself? The creature had a temple built for me, filled it with unimaginable power, then asked if I would perform a service in trade for healing you, a service that has almost no power to it and an insignificant threat.” She purses her lips, running her tongue along her spurs.

She considers carefully and then sighs, as the exit to the caverns is approached. The hot, bright light of morning-time combined with cold air shimmers and livens the stones, while the dragons and githyanki warriors at the entrance watch Yzia land. The great dragon communes with the other dragons, and one of them fades away, undoubtedly checking to see if it is safe for her to exit.

You could ask her to bear a child for you or I, Yzia murmurs in your mind, amusement bubbling over.

I will ask her to perform no such act because I like to be alive and intact. She is far too close to my neck for me to ask something that blizzard, not to mention I have the feeling she enjoys bearing eggs as little as I do. At this point, without her mental faculties, she would be incapable. Would you care to ask her yourself? Yzia's laughter stills after a moment, considering the implications. That is what I thought.

Tzanzi shakes her head. “I am at a loss. Wealth is of no great import to either of us, and matériel we have for the taking if not merely for the asking. So, I could not say. I could not even lay an egg for you or your lover.” It's still a little startling to hear from her lips, but she's well aware you and Yzia have had such strange conversations before. “Servitude is out of the question, and offering you slaves is an exercise in futility. Cooking meals for you isa pleasure; you have a refined palate....or rather, an undiscerning one willing to try new foods.”

You're not quite sure if that's an insult or not.
>>
“Fine. Then enough mithril and deep crystal to forge a Silver Sword for you....and four flasks of your blood to do it with.” Yzia stalks slowly out of the cavern mouth, lowering herself so that she doesn't scrape her wings – or you and Tzanzi – off. The revelation that blood is part of the mystery of the Silver Swords doesn't especially concern you – you're one of the most gifted minds of your species and you had to set your mouth ablaze with dragon's blood and the blood of your species before the methods even started becoming clear to you. “A cestus, tailed to you alone, I think. One with your own propensity for the slaying of the enemy, though in your case that may just come with the blood.”

She laughs, chuffing softly and resting her forehead against the back of your head. “I will consider it. Perhaps something more may be decided upon.” She seems more amenable to the idea than Auena was, at least, even though she uses her claws and teeth in battle. Then again, after serving as a vessel for Siobhan, it isn't that much of a wonder after all, you suppose.

Yzia takes to the air, and you feel her body vibrating as she speaks in thick, bass notes, one claw shifting positions and forming glyphs and sigils. You give her the mental image of where you desire to be, and she finishes the Teleport spell – a spell she did not have before, and far more powerful than you are used to her using.

Aside from that Lesser Wish, of course.

You arrive in a long glide towards the cliff face where the stelai are, ad the cavern's entrance glimmers faintly, as it had before. There is one thing that is different; a figure awaits you on the outcrop, her translucent wings and glimmering visage framed by dark hair; she is dressed solely in body paints, gloves, and boots, or some very cunningly designed patches of material. Her hair sports a white crest and she looks up at you with a smile. The magics and spells wrapped around her are powerful, the Elder Power imbued in some of them tremendous, but it is the polymorph effect that worries you – the exceedingly powerful polymorph effect that renders her in the form of a human. The wings are not a spell, but a part of her nature.
>>
Yzia backwings immediately, still some hundreds of yards off, and hovers in place. the winds rush around you and Tzanzi as she holds herself aloft by main force. I realize she is a powerful sorceress – she can not be anything other – but why the alarm, Yzia? You place a hand upon Siobhan's hilt, and prepare to cast your spells of protection and defense.

That isn't a sorceress, Akko, she tell you, her telepathic voice subdued, perhaps even fearful. That is a Temporal Dragon, and it possesses the Elder Power.

Violet eyes look up at you, and a delicate smile crosses her face, and you can see, for an instant, the image of her true form as if in the mist, a Silent Image for you to admire. Skattish steps out from the cave and holds a hand up to block the sun from her eyes, as she looks up at you with a welcoming smile.

….well of course she would have her own dragon. Because why in the Dead Gods Thousand Names not.

Besides going to bed and not remembering why we're where we are, yes it was. Thanks XS

Autocorrect, I thought I had you trained....

Thanks for running! I'm really looking forward to seeing how next session goes now.

>>2346642
Right? If Akko wanted a blizzard she'd ask someone capable of casting high-level spells instead. Spellcheck clearly hasn't read the dramatis personae.
>>
>>2346614
I write then as a scavenger race of thieves, skulkers, doublecrossers, slavers, and cowards who have no qualms with any of those things and view survival as the ultimate proof of the correctness of the (lack of) ethics.

Akko would find them amusing.

Yes, I base them off of spotted hyenas, because why the heaven wouldn't I?
>>

Thanks for running!

It was definitively more than worthwhile
>>
>>2346635
It definitely was, thank you for running, and that's a very good cliffhanger, I wonder if Skattish just felt the need to bring protection, or if she has something else in mind.

Also I was wondering, have you ever read the Hellboy comics? I feel like it has some good occult horror stuff you might like, and they're posting the whole series in in-universe chronological order on /co/, which probably isn't the best way to do that, but still.

Might be a fun interaction to witness then. Although I have trouble imagining Gith respecting Gnolls much if at all based on that explanation. There's a point where cowardice, double-crossing and survivalist tendencies clashes with self-respect and any ability to assert yourself without explicit might-makes-right confrontation. Soft power is a valuable thing.

Or maybe they'd look down on them to the point where such attitudes would just be seen as Gnolls knowing their place in life.
>>
>>2346651
Sounds better than the generic demon crap they usually have.

I have, they are fun stuff.

It's an interesting dichotomy. Akko, being the expert behaviorist she is would find them amusing, but most would see them as very basic slave race, with the tendency to brutalize other slaves. They would make for an excellent overseer type slave, as they consider slaves extremely valuable - such that unsanctioned killing of a slave results in exile from the Clan, a fate worse than death for gnolls. Likewise, their highly social nature means they would integrate well, if taken as slaves.

It is also worth noting that gnoll females would not typically enjoy sex with other females, as they require penetration to feel actual sexual pleasure - the outside of the psuedopenis isn't that sensitive, though it can be used to penetrate others; mostly as a dominance display or a perversion.
>>
>>2346702
Interesting. Their other traits doesn't make them sound like they'd play well with non-Gnolls in social settings necessarily, but I guess a controlled environment like slavery most of their less likeable traits would be relatively non-pronounced.
Sounds like the poor female Gnolls really got the short end of the 'interspecies sexcapades' schtick.
>>
>>2346719
I have a Spelljammer story as yet unfinished (like so, so, so many others) which has a very perverse gnoll princess working for a Scro captain, along with his changeling pipecleaner (literally, she cleans his smoking pipe and watches his tobacco store and lighters) who has a crush on the Scro captain's legendary slave-girl who guarantee's success in warfare.

I really have so many weird things that pop into my head.
>>
>>2346635
Thanks for running XS.
>>
>>2346728
This captain must have all the cancers if being his pipe-cleaner is a full-time job. What's the gnoll's job then, other than 'be princess'?

Sounds like it'd be a delightful read.
>>
>>2346738
Learning to command troops and keeping the cute slave from getting over-abused by the crew.

The pipecleaner is also in charge of making sure the fire in his cabin doesn't set the ship alight, which is her actual job.

So... Githyanki without the Mind Flayers hatred or mythical leaders to motivate them to greatness, and without the Astral Plane's quirk to allow their decadent vacuity?

>It is also worth noting that gnoll females would not typically enjoy sex with other females, as they require penetration to feel actual sexual pleasure - the outside of the psuedopenis isn't that sensitive, though it can be used to penetrate others; mostly as a dominance display or a perversion.

Eh, Akko would probably find a way to allow one to feel pleasure even then.

And also teach one that a female can ride your pseudopenis and still dom you.
>>
>>2346702
That's actually pretty accurate to Hyena behavior, except the hyena cubs can and do murder their siblings, and Hyenas will use brutal violence to bully their lessers in the social structure, sometimes to the point of death.

Interesting animals, also they're not canine. I know that seems random but the amount of people that lump them in with wolves and foxes gives me an aneurysm
>>
>>2346842

Yeah, they're actually closer to feline.
>>

They're most closely related to weasels, and when they open their mouths you can really tell.

That's actually not true XS, they're most commonly related to mongoose. Weasels and the rest of the mustelids are in canidae, hyenas belong to a group called Hyaenidae which is a sub group of felidae.

Mongoose and Hyenas are in felidae, not canidae with mustelids, canines and bears.

No biggy, taxonomy is mostly bullshit but it's getting better with genetic testing.
