"Alex has a couple mercenaries in the Meran empire. You could also purchase slaves there for a good amount of workers... But in the blightlands I feel you'll find better allies or possible recruits. Sadly, they are all at war, so you'll need to choose who you wish to help there... or look for other options." Mirna replies, "I'm afraid that's all our time for now." She smiles weakly as the world fades back in. You're at the data center.

So there is a trickster god that alex is sure to get a blessing from, as well as easy-to-obtain recruits in the Meran empire, which is the closest... And a faction that is recruit-able in the blightlands... Also Mera has no issue with you or child Alex too, that's a good detail to note.

You walk to the custodian, "Where is the trickster god's shrine?"

"Kierals City, just north of the shrine, along the river bend." She explains. You nod, heading back out. You snag the small Alex along the way.

"We are going to the trickster god to get a blessing for you, then one for me before heading to find that Acarit shrine from the elves." You explain. Alex merely nods, unable to tear out of your grip.

The flight there is uneventful, and, following the guidance of the custodian, you find the city. It's walled, so you, regrettably, have to enter on foot.

Walking into the city, you pass by the guards, and a large mech with a shield and spear.

No guards stopped you as you entered... there was no need to. You passed by a wall of wanted signs, the one for Alex's adult form stuck out. This was your first visit to a city outside the colony...

It was chaos to say the least. The ground was either dirt or cobblestone, carts, drawn by horses, took up most of the paths. It was annoying to say the least. On occasion you'd spot enslaved humans... and nonhumans, doing grunt work. Brutal and squalid conditions. Alex was covering their face too from the varied smells your helmet filtered out.

Disgusting and unsanitary.

Finally you reached the more organized districts, with (almost) proper streets. The temple towered before you, varied clergy on the steps. You walked up to the entrance recalling what Mirna said.
