Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Karn faced down a Jiralhanae chief for his honor, then spent some quality time with Chaya watching Meloka fight against your former teammates Turles, Tunnip, Leyas and Sarada. As the fight concluded, Turles showed the first signs of an incredible latent potential. Karn then faced down King Vegeta, the young Saiyan having reached the next plateau. After showing the powerful young Saiyan what it truly means to Ascend, Karn and crew catch a meal then you go to bed holding your two precious girls. As we rejoin Karn and his crew, your peaceful night’s sleep is coming to an end.

“C’mon Momma! C’mon Daddy!” you hear, something small and energetic suddenly bouncing up and down on your chest. Barely cracking an eye open, you see that its Chaya, bright eyed and bushy tailed. “C’mon its mornin’ time, let’s go!”
“Mrrrrffuurrr.” Meloka murmurs, rolling away from you both and pulling her pillow over her head, muttering incoherently for a few more moments then going quiet. Chaya keeps bouncing on your chest, unrelentingly happy. Meanwhile, you-

Stay perfectly still. She doesn’t know you’re awake yet, and you’ll use that to your advantage. Holding your face and upper body still, you slowly position your arms palms-up under the sheets, ready to pounce. Chaya stops bouncing suddenly, looking very closely at you.

“Daddy, are you awake ye-“ she asks, you opening your eyes suddenly and startling her.
“Baaaa!” you say playfully, reaching up and grabbing her under the arms and start tickling her. “I’m gonna get you!”
“AAAAAAAHHAHAHAHAHA NOOOOOOOOO!” she shouts, laughing as your tickle assault continues. She laughingly squirms in your arms, unable to free herself from your fingers as you tickle her. She tries to fly up and away, you almost letting her get away then grab her by the ankle. Her eyes widen in shock as she sees you slowly bringing your other hand towards her bare foot.

“Wait Daddy nononoooaahahahaha!” she says, you now tickling her foot as well. She’s unable to focus on flying, falling back down onto your chest and rolling laughing, your fingers tickling her foot a torment she can’t escape. You tickle your daughter until she’s out of breath, laying panting on your chest and trying to catch her breath.

“Good morning Chaya.” you say, petting her head as she lays there. “You okay? You look out of breath.”

You look as innocently as you can manage at her, while she looks up at you looking slightly pouty. To the look she gives you you turn your head and whistle poorly, both Chaya and Meloka laughing at this. Turning your head you see Meloka laying on her side facing you both, a huge smile on her face.

“Yaaaay!” Chaya shouts, leaping off of you and onto Meloka, hugging eachh other. “Momma awake!”
“Good morning Chaya.” Meloka says, kissing her on the forehead. She then scoots closer to you, you both sharing an intimate kiss as well.
“Morning.”
“Morning.” you reply, pulling her into your embrace. Chaya looks happy comfortably sandwiched between the two of you, you smiling at them both. You remain like this a few moments longer, loathe to let this moment pass. Eventually Chaya speaks up, with a simple question.

“What we doin’ today?” she asks, looking between you and Meloka.
“That’s a good question.” Meloka replies, looking to you. “Any particular plans for the day, or are we just gonna take it easy?”

“First things first, let’s go check up ok Chilli.” you say, lifting Meloka and Chaya with you as you get out of bed.
“Bro-er?” Chaya asks, leaping out of your arms. “Yaaay go see Bro-er!”
“Not yet young lady.” Meloka says, snatching her by the foot as she tries to dash off. “Get dressed first.”
“Awwww okaaaaay.” she says, pouting a bit and floating back down, putting her clothes and small armor back on. You see it was cleaned and left in your room thanks to someone on board. You and Meloka dress as well, making sure to equip your scouters just in case someone needs to get ahold of you.

Now dressed and ready, you Meloka and Chaya all leave the room, flying out of your ship and into the early morning sunshine. Flying together in the early dawn is a pleasant experience. Not too many others are up yet, the skies clear for the three of you to fly back to the Saiyan city’s hospital. Landing on the roof, you scoop Chaya up and put her on your shoulders, then make your way inside. You start walking to the pods, Chaya tapping you on the head.

“Hmm? What is it?” you ask her.
“He’s not there.” she says, then points a different direction. “That way!”
“So he’ not in a pod anymore?” Meloka asks Chaya.
“Mmhmm.” she says, nodding and pointing. “He’s dat way!”
“Well then let’s go.” you say, following Chaya’s directions. “Did you come visit your brother while we were gone?”
“Yup!” she says happily. “He got bigger.”
“That’s good.” Meloka says, floating up to Chaya and patting her on the head. “You did good Chaya.”

Chaya beams at the compliment, then leaps off of you as you walk up to the door and push it open. She flies excitedly into the room and zooming over to the far side. Finding her brother she turns and waves with both hands, calling you both over. You and Meloka walk over as Chaya remains floating there, crossing her legs and grabbing her feet.

“Hi Bro-er!” she says, the Saiyan infant looking at her questioningly. “Momma and Daddy here!”
You and Meloka walk up to the child, and sure enough its Chilli.

You watch as Meloka reaches down, picking your son up and holding him close. He isn’t sure how to react at first, then instinctively nestles up close to Meloka, his tail wrapping around her arm. Meanwhile you activate your scouter to check on your son’s strength, and are pleasantly surprised by his reading of 2,139. It seems he has the potential to be quite the warrior someday. Deactivating the scouter, you focus your mind and think to your son.

“Chilli, can you hear me?” you ask, the boy’s head rising up as he starts looking around. When he looks at you, you keep mentally communicating. “Do you remember me?”
“Daa?” he asks out loud, head leaning sideways.
“That’s right.” you say out loud, walking over and patting the young boy’s head then putting your other on Meloka’s. “Do you remember her?”
“Maa.” he says softly, nestling his face in her shoulder. You chuckle a bit at this, Chaya floating up and sitting on your shoulders while Meloka tears up a bit. You pull Meloka’s by her far shoulder to you, hand on Chaya’s head with the other. You stay like that for a few moments, everyone silent. Chaya is the first to break this silence, floating down to Chilli. The young Saiyan turns to his older sister questioningly.

“See?” she asks him, smiling contentedly at her little brother. “I told you Momma and Daddy are nice.”
“Mmmmmmm.” he replies, looking up to Meloka and smiling. “Maa nice.”

Meloka tears up even more at this, you chuckling a bit. Meloka cries a bit, Chaya turning to you questioningly.

“Where we goin’ now?” she asks you. “Taking Bro-er too?”

“Let’s go back to the island.” you say, Chaya leaping up in excitement.
“Yaaaay!” she shouts, then looks back concerned. “Wait, what about Bro-er?”
“Don’t worry, he’s coming too.” you say, Chaya squealing in excitement. You snag a passing orderly, informing her that Chilli would be coming with you for the time being. She just agrees with you, writing something on her clipboard then going about her business. You four exit the building from the roof again, Meloka still holding Chilli and Chaya now hanging from your right wrist, tail wrapped around it. You and Meloka take off slowly, Chaya uncoiling herself and flying along. You and Meloka keep it slow, allowing Chaya to keep up. She’s a natural in the air, giggling as she does flips and rolls. After a few minutes of peaceful flight you all arrive at the island.

Touching down, you and Meloka walk casually over to the Guardian who’s sitting on his usual rock, Chaya running off into the ship where you can sense Broly’s power. You find it odd that the others aren’t here, but you chalk it up to them probably getting breakfast. Which reminds you that you still haven’t eaten yet.

“Mornin’.” you say, waving to the Guardian as you approach.
“Good morning.” Meloka says, waving as well for just a moment, hand returning to hold Chilli.
“A good morning, it is.” he says, nodding slightly at you. “You enjoyed yourself yesterday, I take it?”
“Of course.” you reply, wrapping an arm around Meloka. “And credit where it’s due, you’ve done an excellent job training them all.”
“The work, they themselves have done.” he says, tapping his cane on the ground. “Merely showed them the way, I did.”
“You’ve done more than that.” you say, smiling at your mentor. “I’m sure you felt what happened yesterday?”

“Mmm.” he says, noncommittally. “Great potential, you Saiyans have. Even the young, incredible potential they have.”

As he says this Chaya comes running out of the ship, dragging a still-sleepy looking Broly out by his arm.

“Look, look!” she shouts, pulling him over to Meloka and Chilli. “See, Bro-ee? Bro-er!”
“H-Hellooo.” Broly says, yawning unenthusiastically. He then blinks a few times, looking between all of you. He then realized who was there, him greetin you and Meloka by name.

“Mornin’ Broly.” you greet him, patting his head and ruffling his hair a bit. “Getting better control of your powers yet?”
“Not really.” he says, seemingly disappointed.
“Don’t be too hard on yourself.” you tell him, kneeling down to eye level with the boy. “You’ll learn how to control it. It took Meloka and me a long time to learn how to control it. You’ll master it, don’t you worry.”
“Th-Thanks.” he says, looking at you with a new determination in his eyes. “Will you help me?”

“I’ll be here.” he says, nodding to you then walking back towards the ship. Chaya pouts again, crossing her arms with a harrumph. You lay a hand on her head, ruffling her hair as you turn back to the Guardian.

“Is he okay?” you ask him, the concern clear in your voice.
“Worried, the boy is.” he says. “Afraid of his power, of losing control he is. Yet help him, I cannot.”

“We’ll help him.” you say, the implied we obvious. “I’ll be back shortly, we have a few things to do first. Chaya, do you wanna stay he... What’s wrong Chaya?”
“What’s that?” she says, pointing up into the sky.

Turning to where she’s pointing, you see something that makes no sense: this planet has no moon. A large spherical object has appeared in the sky, on the opposite side of the island as the mainland. You watch with a mix of fear, worry, and awe as it closes in towards the planet. You feel an awful foreboding, watching the massive object closing in closer and closer to New Salda.

“I’m going to find whoever’s driving that thing.” you say, then focusing your mind. Extending your senses, you feel a single powerful powerlevel within the ship. With a small smirk of satisfaction, you focus intensely and think towards it.

“Hey, who’s driving this thing?” you ask the strange, somehow familiar presence. It doesn’t respond, so you try again. “Hey, whoever you are, this is the Saiyan homeworld! You’re about to crash into us, change course or I’ll be forced to destroy you.”

You aren’t sure if it could understand you or not, but then you can feel it. A massive swelling of anger, of hate rising from the presence. You can’t get anything clear from its mind other than hatred, rage, and murderous intent. But you do sense one thing clearly; it remembers you. Your talking to it awakened forgotten memories, and it remembered your faces. The one who killed it. Suddenly, something foreign begins closing the link, painfully working its way into your mind, but not before it sends you a single image. An angry yellow eye, opening with murderous intent. The foreign presence closes off your mind, and everything goes black.

“Karn.... Karn!...KARN!!”

“Huh, wha? What?” you ask, coming back to laying on the ground. The Guardian, Raven, and even Towa all have a hand on your head. Meloka is holding your right hand tightly and Chaya is on your left, and you feel that you’re laying flat on the ground.

The Guardian merely sighs out, Raven turning and looking to the Demon princess while Towa simply stands, looking smugly towards the horizon.

“Hands off.” she murmurs to herself. “He’s mine.”
“Y-You saved me?” you ask the demoness, still feeling light headed.
“Of course.” she says, turning back towards you and holding her staff horizontally and sitting upon it. “But what madness posessed you to try and mentally hack into the Big Gete Star?”
“Big Gete Star?” you and everyone except the Guardian ask her, the old Guardian only glaring at her in open hostility.
“Biggy Star?” Chaya asks, even Towa chuckling at your daughter.
“The Big Gete Star is a powerful weapon, a remnant of another age.” Towa begins, looking over you all smugly. “It assimilates other technologies into itself, becoming more powerful in its quest. It floats around space and absorbs shipwrecks into its own technology, but it needs energy. For that, it probably came here, intent on stripping New Salda of everything of worth, then crushing the empty husk and moving on. You’ll have to somehow get on board, and crush the core to stop it.”
“Thanks for the help Towa.” you say, rising to your feet a little unsteadily, quickly finding your balance again. “But what did it do to me?”

Big Gete Star is like a Death Star but instead is a planet-sized amalgamation of various collected electronic and mechanical junk floating in the void of space, controlled by an AI. In the original DB, it gained an interfaced host in the form of Cooler's deceased head, and allowed Cooler to come back to a sort of half-life as a disembodied cyborg head, controlling the whole thing.

I am torn between two options

“Thanks.” you say, nodding and taking off towards the tendril.
“Mamma! Daddy! Go getem!!” Chaya shouts as loud as she can, you turning and giving her a thumbs up as you fly away. You don’t even fly for ten whole seconds before his voice appears in your head, supposedly projected to eveyone again.

“Under attack, we are.” he starts, you and Meloka nodding to each other and increasing your speed, the tendril quickly closing in. “Invaded our world, the Big Gete Star has. Come, it has, to consume our world. Proud Saiyans, for battle, prepare yourselves!”

With his quick warning/motivation finished, you and Meloka arrive, floating over the tendril of the Big Gete Star. You notice a half dozen machines walking along the surface towards the mainland, having not yet noticed you. You can’t see an entrance yet inside the star either, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t one somewhere nearby.

“What’s the plan?” Meloka thinks to you? “Wipe them out quick? Ignore them and punch a way inside? Or stay here and see what happens?”

Without answering, you hold up a hand, ki gathered in your fingertip. You then turn to her, nodding to each other, fingers extended towards the enemy.

“HAAAA!!”
“DIE!!”

You both shout, firing your first beams at the machines. Yours takes the lead robot through the head, it collapsing in a heap as your beam continues, piercing a hole through the tendril. Meloka’s blast takes the one in the back through the chest, the machine self destructing. The remaining four look up towards you both, the two of you firing your next attacks immediately. Your second beam pierces through the next one’s chest, the beam piercing through it and the one behind its ankle, the second falling down on its right side. Meloka fired a second beam as well, but the machines leapt into the air, dodging the attack. The two rush at the both of you, Meloka panic-firing and clipping one. Before they can reach her, you dash over and grab the close one, spinning in a quick circle and slamming them into each other, you leaping back and Meloka firing another beam through their chests and destroy them both.

Turning back to the remaining machine, you were just in time to see the mechanical claw of the remaining robot close in on you, clutching you in its cold metal grip. You notice its claw is on some sort of retractable cord, the machine pulling you closer to it as its other arm turns into some sort of cannon.

“Karn!” Meloka shouts, dashing to you.
“Hold on I got this one.” you think to her, mind devising something clever as you close in on the last machine. It takes a few moments to properly channel your ki, but as you close in you’ve done it. Opening your eyes wide, you fire your Death Beam attack, but not from your fingertips.

“HAAAAA!!” you shout, a pair of beams shooting from your eyes, both boring straight through the machine’s head.

The now-lifeless machine drops you, you breaking free from its still claws with little effort.
“Nice.” Meloka says, dropping down beside you. “How long have you been hiding that one?”
“Just came up with i-.” you say, smiling back before you’re interrupted. Just then you both feel the tendril rumble underfoot, nearly taking your and Meloka’s balance.

quickly gather your energy into your right fist, raising it high above your head as the piercing point of ki appears around your hand.

“HAAAAAA!!” you shout, punching straight through the wide tendril of the Big Gete Star’s hull and into its interior. Dropping in, your attack fades as you see several hundred of the machines marching inside toward the mainland. Their march stops as you crash in, the machines all raising their arm cannons simultaneously and firing. With only a second to act, you create your Barrier, the field of energy protecting you from the storm of pain headed your way. Your barrier forms just in time, intercepting the storm of the blasts without you taking damage.

The cloud kicked up by the blasts clears, the machines seeing you unharmed above them. A second later a blade appears through the roof to your right, it cutting a quick circle and Meloka dropping through.

“Let’s take these assholes out!” Meloka says, flaring her aura.

Meloka takes the initiative, leaping headlong into the mechanized army. Slashing back and forth, she carves a path of destruction faster than the machines can match. Having gawked long enough, you gather your own power, whipping your hand around and firing off a Death Slash, the ki blade leaping forth and carving straight through three of the machines. Two of them explode, the third simply collapses as you stride forward. Swiping back and forth, you quickly carve your way through, heading closer and closer towards the main core of the Big Gete Star. Again and again the machines rush you, and again and again each and every one of them are felled by one of your short-lived blades. After a few minutes of carving up scrap metal Meloka rejoins you, taking point and giving you a few moments to catch your breath.

“Get bored on your end?” you ask her, chuckling as she fires a two-hand Scatter Beam and destroying a few dozen of the machines at once.
“You looked like you were having a hard time, I figured I would come save you.”

You laugh, the machines finally turning back and retreating.

“H-Hey!” she shouts, firing a few beams at their backs. “Get back here you scrap metal bastards!”

The machines pay her no heed, retreating down the tunnel. You and Meloka look confused towards each other, then suddenly a wall comes up, sealing the rest of the path from you. Before either of you can question it, the roof opens up above you, the ground convulsing and tossing you both skyward before either of you can react. You and Meloka tumble through the air, orienting yourselves in time to watch the tendril re-seal itself.

“What the hell?” Meloka asks, looking down in confusion. “What was that?”

Before you can answer, you see it shifting again. In seconds it seems to nearly double in width, an opening appearing from the top and something you thought you’d never see again rises up.

“No way...” you hear yourself mutter out, a real blast from your past appearing. You watch the creature rising up from the tendril, finding yourself staring down the massive lizard god from several years ago. It roars at you, its roar nos as mechanical as the rest of it.

“This thing again?” Meloka asks. “Let’s just smash it and go.”

Flashing up into the Ascended Super Saiyan state, you throw your arms out, quickly gathering your ki. You feel your ki rising rapidly, Meloka backing up and allowing you to work unhindered. Slamming your palms together, power mixing together, you think you’re ready. The machine’s head is spinning around and around oddly, a wierd glow forming around its head.

“Time to send you back to hell! FINAL FLASH!!”

The glow around its head extends rapidly, covering its entire body in an instant. Your golden beam blasts forward, crashing into the creature’s barrier. It slams into the shield with a mighty impact, rocking the world. You feel your attack stopped by the barrier, you struggling to push through. With a final effort you put everything into it, the blast exploding against the machine’s shield and kicking up a massive dust cloud. You pant from the effort, transforming back down to a regular Super Saiyan to preserve your stamina. Yet you watch the dust cloud intently, waiting to see if your attack succeeded.

Before the dust thins, a rainbow beam fires from the smoke right at you! With no time to form a Barrier, you cross your arms before you, trying to block the worst of the blast. You snarl as the attack hits you, it burning your arms and knocking you back. You manage to withstand the blast, glaring at the now-visible mecha-lizard.

“Damn, that’s a problem.” Meloka says, flying back up beside you. “How are we gonna do this?”
