https://brorlandi.github.io/StarWarsIntroCreator/#!/AL5eO0-FHGvZIGkCXViA: Our intro

The New Confederate Rebellion base on Minntooine is coming together rather nicely, Defensive positions can wait because your main defence is secrecy. With that in mind, you flesh out your transport system, replacing the converted Imperial speeders with purpose built and much larger Rail trains. You also Spend a lot of time and resources widening your existing mine north of Dixie Land, You need access to the resources here before you can start construction proper.

>>
>>2322582
Well, I dont really see how we could do all that much to a full Imperial blockade. Maybe snipe with the Merc ship?
>>
>>2322616
The blockade couldn't stop small ships from leaving and now with us being a threat the blockade has even less ships in it. We really give then a scare didn't we? We could cripple a couple of interdictors so the rebellion can pass their bigger ships. We could even use our captured Victory SD for that. Or even use the imperial shuttles to board a vindictor and use our troops to get it for ourselfs.
>>
>>2322635
The tried and true tactic of the sneaky lambada shuttle infiltration, almost as much of a classic as the CIS striking out from Geonosis.
>>
>>2322635
The Victory could actually be useful here, otherwise we are instantly KO if we move in big ships. The victory could allow us to move in to the interdictors and blow them up before they realize whats up but we would probably lose the thing.

You set Kalani and Asha to drilling the pirates while you oversee the new constructions, It's hard to motivate them at first, pirates being more concerned with drinking and sunbathing on the warm planets surface, but between them they find a way.
The way is beatings, vicious beatings.

Your Pirate Scum are now Pirate Freebooters(BETTER HYGIENE AND FASHION SENSE, ALSO NOT AS SHIT.)

Week 2 Begins.

As a second week of mining comes to fruition, precious metals and useful Ores come pouring in from your new Mines.

First off, I think we should invest as much of this ore as possible into Frigates. To beef up our ability to defend this system and to strike out at our enemies.

So I'm assuming the shipyard in orbit can produce 1 frigate? Given it's declared as "1 frigate shipyard" implying it can only produce one at a time. If so, that leaves us with 40 tonnes.

With those 40 tonnes, we could produce 1000 B1 droids to crew the new frigate and our other ships or we could invest it into further mining operations or some combinations thereof.

Early on in the week, a small comm buoy is hyperspaced into the Minntooine system, and immediately attempts to open a channel with the Fist of Mammon.

It is Broadcasting on a strange frequency, not one used by the Empire, nor is it operating on the same frequencies the Rebellion used, this represents a great threat to your interests in this system.

>>HOW DO YOU RESPOND

Later on in the week the "Housing Market" slips out of dock with your shipyards, crewed with a full 200 OOM battle deoids.

You stare him down, deciding to wait for him to speak first, you attend to several management issues with your secondary and tertiary arms while keeping your primary set on the table in front of you, occasionally clacking your mandibles whenever his eyes leave yours, always looking at him with at least two while the others swivel to look elsewhere.

It seems rather effective, and after a good ten seconds he clears his throat and begins to speak.

"I am Tyber Zann, Creator and Chairman of the Zann Consortium. You're... taller than I expected Admiral." He sits forward on his throne and clears his throat. "I'm rather pleased that my probes caught up with you so quickly, even better that I find you with all of your.. pieces attached, you do have a habit of losing them distressingly frequently after all."

He's probing you, looking for cracks and prodding at what he thinks are weaknesses. It even almost works. But this kid is way out of his league.

"You are wasting my time Zann. Make whatever it is you have to say swift and I may deign to listen."

Your bored tone and preoccupied nature seem to irritate him, but to his credit he only barely lets it show, if you didn't have eight sets of eyes and a specialised body language interpretation program running you might not have noticed.

"Very well, I see you are a sentient who appreciated candour. I currently have the location of your base in Minntooine thanks to the probe, now normally I would immediately sell your location to either the Empire or the Hutt cartels, maybe both as the resulting conflict when they attempt to capture your fleet would weaken them greatly, however! I am currently in a bit of bother and I find myself needing to expand my operations towards the core. Which brings me to you."

I was originally planning on colonising Minntooine much as you have, but regrettably you got there first. I immediately sent a probe to ascertain the strength of your forces and here we find ourselves. I think we can be honest with each other here, if your forces weren't as strong as they are then i'd be Hyperspacing in with my fleet right now."

"But I have determined that the cost outweighs the potential gains and so I come to parlay."

You turn slightly as you're handed a cargo manifest for the latest shipment of Ore to the Fist, normally you wouldn't be the one signing these, but it makes for a fine distraction, and you can see that not being your sole focus is vexing for him.

"My ships require a way of accessing the outer core and Colonies sectors, without travelling the main hyperlane routes and occasionally a place to dock for repairs, in exchange I would not only do my best to keep the place secret, which you will find is rather a lot considering my abilities, but you will find I have many contacts within the black market and could easily procure anything you are not capable of producing yourself, for much cheaper than what you might spend on your own."

As the next week starts you find yourself more concerned with bureaucracy than you are used to, having to sign and approve ship manifests, cargo logs and hazardous materials notifications. On the one hand it takes an excruciating amount of time, even with Kalani helping out. on the other hand, you now have incredible amounts of traffic coming through the system, with smugglers, mercenaries and the occasional red armoured Zann consortium representative coming by for repairs, refueling or just a place to stop for a few days.

Asha's pirates, now live semi permanently on the station, having converted the old crew quarters into a barracks and taking shuttles down to the planet regularly to hunt the wildlife(Giant Scorpions) or just enjoy the sun.

You're sure you can find a way to make use of this.

Zann hates the Empire more while currently in his campaign against them and then he'll probably go back to fight with the Hutts. Currently, though he wants to kick the Empire's teeth in for payback, once he's done. He'll have the Hutts to deal with because there is no way they DON'T take advantage of the Empire's situation. Which will mean their interests are going to clash.

So long as we keep cordial relations with him things should be fine between us. Either way, Zann is going to busy fighting either the Empire or dealing with the Hutts trying to take advantage. So, for now, he shouldn't be an enemy of ours in the short term.

Keep in mind he also doesn't want to pick a fight with us for very similar reasons for why we don't wanna pick a fight with him. While we aren't by any means allies(especially given our different goals) in the short term we won't be enemies.

Plus unlike the Rebellion he isn't nearly as annoying and trying to recruit us for the New Republic. So that right there makes him instantly better than the rebels.

We should do both in even strides i think. Invest half each week in both. Either way we need to make a decision on what we are going to atyack and why and build torward that. No reason to make a bunch of ground units if we are planning on only attacking them in space.

Actually we should probably invest in cloaking for our mines and invest in only hideable amd movable assets for now we dont have the power to survive being noticed by the empire
>>
>>2324044
That isn't any different from attacking a world expecting to loose thought. with this we show we can be smart and pressure the empire and create more supporter to us. And of course we won't hyperspace our entire fleet we will send the exact numbers to deal with the stationary forces.

Then if the enemy fleet comes back we sebd the rest of our fleet and keep then pinned between our divided fleet. That's the way to defeat a enemy.

Then since the fleet of the other world will be weakend we can either hyper space away back home and rebuild or we take a planet between the time the enemy tries to rebuild itself.
>>
>>2324040
I can agree with that we should start to build our resources and info gathering then we can build a vetter military. As it was said before we need more listening post to map and coordinate our plans.
>>
>>2324062
It does not show we're smart because we don't make any gains. Even if we only send in fractions, at the end of the day, we're not better off than if we did nothing, unless we scorched earth the planet before we leave, which doesn't get public support.
>>

>>
>>2324048
For now we should build other base points and spread our influence let the empire worry about foundry while we start to increase more separatist cells across the Outer Rim.

The deal is to show that the empire can bleed and start to give the people a reason and vantage to revault.

We won't catch everyone but we will slowly show what we can do and increase the amount of possible supporters. That would be the goal. But i do agree that a better approach would be gather info and then doing a decisive strike.

You spend the week setting up more mining Camps near Dixy-Lann and making sure that the automated systems are working fine. you also have to rework some of the tram lines but you make it work. The amount of mining you're now doing is staggering.

>>mines can no longer be built on this planet, only upgraded.

You now receive 150 tonnes of ore a week.

aside from that you have the foundry spit out as many droids as it can, creating an additional 15 magnaguards(auto stationed on the Fist), 50 droid commandoes and a whole regiment of 250 B1 droids.
these forces are in storage on the planet until they are deployed.

You also devote some resources to improving the space station, how do you do that?

The last of your Ore budget for the week is used on the shipyards, you finally have all you need to restore the Station to it's former glory, all but doubling it's capabilities.
The pirate techs "Help" with the construction,
mostly by decorating the station with graffiti, almost of it terrible.
Except for the spiderweb design running down the Docking clamps and welding struts. Whoever did that is a cool guy.

Piss can be added to ales for an additional 3 credits. We should probably get a protocol droid suited up as a bartender.

The bar would obviously cater to the Outer rim sort- smugglers, traders, mercs, etc.

So you guys think we should start to expand when?

What you anons think should we do once we have our station and base all sorted out?

Should we go to the listening post so we can keep a eye what is happening in Yavin and old separatist territories?

Yavin space seem to be out of limits for us for now as well as any system were the foundry worlds are located.

I say we start to keep building infrastructure then after that we settle in Talos and start working down on the corners towards the mid rim.
>>
>>2324369
Thanks for running, dude. By the way, installed FoC and downloaded the Republic at War mod. Venators are cheap as fuck, no fun to fight against.
>>
>>2324641
I think we should go have some minor sorties against the Imperials to remind them that we're out there and getting bigger so we become a bigger thorn in their side.
>>
A thing about our navy: I don't think we can afford to have broadside brawls anymore, I think we need to take a card from the First Blood and turn our ships into giant guns.
>>
>>2324661
I think we should lurk in wait until we are capable of doing 1 huge symbolic action that really bloodiest the imperial's nose.

>>2324641
We need to build up a bit more- another month of sticking around, getting the Kalani bonuses.
Hide the mines, get intel gathering equipment, arm the station.
We need more seperatist assets operating in imperial territories, so we should look for the old listening outposts, see if they detect any confederate cells. We thenbring them into the fold.
We should also look out for secret treasure troves of high ranking confederates like Wat Tambor that we can take for ourselves.
I agree on sticking to the Outerrim and working our way in. We're lucky because the North East of the galaxy was pretty thick with Confederate worlds.
>>
>>2324679
The main thing is that our broadside strategy is good enough to fuck up with Zann's main destroyer the agressosrs. Can't use that big gun if you can't turn it to your target.

But we do have two more slows at the Fist we have a foundry on it at the moment and we can use one slot to put the Plasma liner cannon on it. That with our already included ion canon can fuck up with most imp ships.
>>
>>2324698
How about we make it seem like we wish to bloody their nose, then kick them in the groin instead? Is Kuat nice this time of year?
>>
>>2324713
That's suicide atm maybe if zaan and the Rebles joined we would be able to survive but it's still a horrible idea
>>
>>2324713
>Attacking the second most heavily defenses system

Lolno.

Now if we sent a few...buyiers to meet with the board of directors. Cause they weren't happy being nationalized or forced into it.
>>
>>2324713
Kuat is going to be locked up tighter than a toydarian's wallet. Probably has total interdictor coverage and an entire star destroyer battle group standing guard, with orders to stay put at all times.
We aren't getting anywhere close to enough damage there.
>>
>>2324726
Are the shipyards shielded in the planetary shield?
>>
>>2324698
>We need to build up a bit more- another month of sticking around, getting the Kalani bonuses.

Fortunantly the imps are so focused in blocking the rebels and hold the factory worlds that we have time to build our stuff.

>We need more seperatist assets operating in imperial territories, so we should look for the old listening outposts, see if they detect any confederate cells. We thenbring them into the fold.

Agreed.

>We should also look out for secret treasure troves of high ranking confederates like Wat Tambor that we can take for ourselves.

I believe listening post could help with that too. Maybe if we scan places were we knew separatist used to gather would be good. Maybe we can manage to go to Dantooine and reach Muunnilist.
>>
We could probably pull off some sneaky shit with the Gladiator and some commando droids in Kuat, but we would need to cloak the droids that would be running off with ships.
>>
>>2324729
When they say Kuat is impregnable, it's impregnable.
And shooting at it won't work if the star destroyers and space based planetary defenses blow you up before you get into range.
>>
>>2324713
Just no that is suicide. we don't have the droid power or the ships to do something like that.

>>2324724
Kuat would never do it. Thanks to the empire they have a monopoly in ship construction and resources. If anything Kuat should be the leasr interprise we do business and we should go deal with the Duros and other alien shipyards.

>>
Planetary shields are weaker towards the poles, right? What with all the aurora borealis?

>>
>>2324732

>>
Guys, we need to backtrace and hunt down Zann, or at the very least inform someone of his shit by proxy. I'm not saying tell anyone he's "near the Mintooine system", just you know, headed west. He straight up admits the reason he's so careful is cause his operation is so small for now, I say we strike while he's weak and force him into capitulation.

Also we should see if we can't expand outward from Mintooine to either Poseidena or Eridicon. Always good to have a back up plan. Also, Syr Myrth. Just, throwing that out there. Like I know we'd be 19 years late but there might still be something there.

>>2324465
Yo that's actually kinda cool, well done my dude.
>>
>>2324997
We aren't Hutt to backstab people. For now Zann is a business partner his snuggling and commerce is a good way for us to start getting money.

I don't say we should thrust him. That's the reasob why i want to build ships and start to send then out there so the imps know we are still around.

We should focus on raid to small shipyards so we can destroy imperial ships and pay the market price for any ship or fuel and blueprints we can steal.

Zann is also a safer way to get tech since he's also a arms dealer. We should treat him like the empire threats Jabba.
>>
Our current fleet is: One Recusant class destroyer "The Market Crash"
One Victory class star destroyer "The Repressor"
One Providence class dreadnought "The Fist of Mammon"
And the one with the spinal mounted cannon of doom and destruction.

Thoughts for what our next step should be? I'd support building another shipyard if that's possible.
>>
>>2325017

We do need vulture droid plans though.
>>

Besides this is just for Minntooine and we don't intend to stay here for long i say we build some space defenses and do the same with our ground defense then start raiding and grabbing other abandoned or forgotten separatist holds.

If we prove to be to much of a bother to be fought and don't provoke him. He won't do anything

I just chose the word tonnes because I had to name the units of measurement something and i was too tired to come up with something better.
feel free to yell suggestions at me.
>>
>>2325309
Nah tones is fine. But if people complain make it be something simple like Ore.

Are you running today?
>>
>>2325309
nah, sorry man, have a lot of stuff to get done, I'll be running on tuesday afternoon or wedneday morning.

>So you guys think we should start to expand when?
>What you anons think should we do once we have our station and base all sorted out?
Soon: we've maxed out the resource gain from this planet, excluding what we can get from improving the mines. Therefore we should establish the infrastructure needed to supply power, process and use the resources gathered on the planet, before relocating our ship that is currently doing so to another planet or moon in system and setting up industry there.

>Should we go to the listening post so we can keep a eye what is happening in Yavin and old separatist territories?
Certainly. The potential for valuable information is high and it means we can more easily broadcast and detect messages throughout the region.

>Yavin space seem to be out of limits for us for now as well as any system were the foundry worlds are located.
True, so we'll just need to build new foundry worlds and create a fleet to secure Yavin's airspace.
>>
>>2325460
>True, so we'll just need to build new foundry worlds and create a fleet to secure Yavin's airspace

But why? Fuck the rebels
>>
>>2325503
It's good to have resources indebted to you. Especially if it's easy for us, and important to them
>>
>>2325503
Yavin has a gas giant. Plasma is a gas anon. We can refine the gas for fuel and plasma.

Also the rebels will leave soon and once they go antld the imps follow then we go and take the place for ourselfs.

But why do it instead of going to the core worlds? Simple what we lack is natural resources and we don't need to pay or give luxury to droids and making sure we control natural we can bring other guilds into the fold.
>>
>>2325313
Take your time my dude, take your time.

Also, guys, I've had an idea... what if we build a bunch of Synths, coated in skin to LOOK like us, unbeknownst to everyone and whenever they die we just comeback and be all "Surprise!"

>>2325460
Like I said, Poseidenna or Eridicon are right next door, ripe for the taking.

>>2325503
See >>2325507 and >>2325509 Garm might be joining us later on anyway as a defector from the rebellion, seeing as we have WAY more of a fighting chance. Legit without Anakin the rebellion would be kinda fucked.
>>
>>2325507
>>2325509
I can understand moving in and taking the resource/system once the rebellion leaves the planet. However fuck fighting over it for the rebellion. They win either way, So we might as well work on our own stuff to be able to match them and punch the empire.
>>
>>2325515
>Legit without Anakin the rebellion would be kinda fucked.

I think you mean Luke right?
>>
>>2325520
It's not a matter of the rebellion winning or losing, it's having them in debt to us and being seen as a good guy in the eyes of their supporters, the people and their own troops. It'll make it easier to foster CIS support and harder for them to start any sort of shit with us.

Plus, it's as good a place as any to make our grand return to the galaxy.
>>
>>2325524
With our 3 ships? and like 1k total ground force?
>>
>>2325525
First off, our current ship count is 5.

Secondly, at no point did I say we are going right now. In fact I specifically said "we'll just need to build new foundry worlds and create a fleet to secure Yavin's airspace" which means our current ship count means jackshit. If anything it shows how little attention you are paying to this thread.
>>
>>2325515
>Also, guys, I've had an idea... what if we build a bunch of Synths, coated in skin to LOOK like us, unbeknownst to everyone and whenever they die we just comeback and be all "Surprise!"

Ah good idea but it wouldn't give our bonus to our troops, but, i can see the use for it if we want to make people thing we are going to some place or a face to face meeting with someone. However we would need to research this stuff even if we can make a exoskelletong to look like us or even use the clone vat to peel the exo skeletong if one of our clones and use it. I would rather just move or make predictions and escape routes.

>Like I said, Poseidenna or Eridicon are right next door, ripe for the taking.

Do you know what we can find there?
>>
>>2325525
We just need to disrupt the blockade enough for the rebels to evacuate.
and we have 4 ships, which are all pretty heavy hitters.
>>
>>2325527
Oh wow 5 ships vs the Thousands of imperial ones. What a difference. We really are imposing and surely make a great grand return.

>If anything it shows how little attention you are paying to this thread.

Okay 5 posts, I'm sure glad I haven't paid attention to this thread at all. I must've just joined in and skipped to the bottom lol.
>>
>>2325520
>fighting over it for the rebellion

Qait no fuck that let the rebels screw themselfs while the imps are busy running after then we can go and increase our power. Showing we are supporting then is bad. I can agree with joint operations attacking imps outpost or planets. But no helping then.
>>
>>2325537
Thousands in total across the galaxy. Lots of fleets are just several star destroyers, and the Yavin fleet is at half strength.
They likely have 4-5 star destroyers around Yavin right now
>>
>>2325536
But we won't do it for free. We still need to charge Rekker for our help with his troops. Althought the trainning we did with then was more something we did out of pitty.
>>
>>2325537
>Oh wow 5 ships vs the Thousands of imperial ones. What a difference.
Oh wow I didn't realise the entire imperial fleet was going to be waiting for us over that one planet. You know, rather than patrolling across the entire galaxy and protecting the forge worlds and all the other shit it has to do.

If you are going to act like an idiot, why should I even bother trying to discuss this?

>We really are imposing and surely make a great grand return.
I refer you to my prior post, we ain't going now. We are going to continue building up and THEN go once we have more ships.

>Okay 5 posts, I'm sure glad I haven't paid attention to this thread at all. I must've just joined in and skipped to the bottom lol.
Mate fuck off with that post count bullshit and implying that I just "skipped to the bottom" especially given my posts are throughout the thread.

I live in the UK, most of this thread occurred while I was asleep and a large portion of the rest was a flag discussion that I avoided getting into for the most part. It still doesn't change the fact that you failed to comprehend what I wrote and that you got our ship count wrong.
>>
>>2325545
We never made a deal to train his squad in exchange for anything, so we can't claim anything.
>>
>>2325542
which they can pull to a front if we start fighting them conventionally as it seems people want to suggest to do. Also a new real threat from the past, if Big P spins it right he might be able to kick start people into supporting him again.

>>2325536
Honestly, There is no reason to even get involved. The Rebels can leave themselves and we have plenty of other systems or worlds to visit/get supporters from.

>>2325546
You do you anon.
>>
From a longer term perspective we'd want the rebels to look like incompetent fools. As long as the end result is no one thinking of the rebels as a serious choice for a government it's all good.
>>
>>2325542
Actualy the blockade was so big that covered a entire sector. But then again most of the onea making the vlockade was a bunch of interdictors and some ISD-I destroyers protecting then.

Oh and of course Vader is there too.
>>
>>2325521
Yeah, Luke, not Anakin. Fuckin' Skywalkers.
>>
>>2325552
The more we bail out the rebels, the weaker they look, and the more assets will ditch them in exchange for supporting us.
It's also a waste to just let people willing to fight the empire die, when we could use them.

I think there is just Quarren's in Dac now. Since the Mon calamari runned away (even by making a fucking building into a spaceship!) from the planet when the Empire came knocking. We should check how things are there and if there is a imperial occupation on it.
>>
>>2325708
Better yet with Moncal shipyard we can build Lukre ships. Mon calamari definetly has the blueprints for that.

>>

I meant the schematics but at least we can get Mon Cal shielding.
>>
>>2325735
How about a competitive relationship? They both make us starships that are different from each other with different design philosophies, and we'll see how they fare in comparison.
>>
>>2325748
Mon Calamari won't have the blueprints for a trade federation ship. Mintooine and Pamment would have Free Dac blueprints, but they are Quarren colony worlds

>>2325752
The Mon Cala are pretty tight with the Rebellion, so we won't be getting their help until the Rebels completely collapse.
>>
>>2325778
Well guess our next colony will be either Pamment or Eridicon
>>
You know what we should be doing though? Thinking up strategies to out-Thrawn Thrawn. We will be the Moriarty to his Sherlock, the Joestar to his Esidisi. I personally liked the way he managed to weaponize hyperspace jumps via interdictor gravity wells, along with a masterful asteroid trap against the New Republic.

The more I think bout it the more I want to combine the two. See if we can't hyperspace slingshot some asteroids into the foundry blockades, or better yet just hyperspace DIRECTLY into the blockade with some expendable ships. Who else has some ideas cause I'm just spitballing here.
>>
>>2325798
We've never met Thrawn tho. We have met Skywalker, so if the Empire has another one of those up its sleeve, we'll have a contingency.
>>
>>2325798
Use of the Ion cannon and a spinal plasma canon on our ship as both a way to incapacitate and blow smaller vessels.

Use self destruct seguence or even do what the rebels did in the new movies and just ram a ship at light speed towards a fleet.
>>
>>2325805
Fortunantly we are pretty good against cloaked ships if we survive during the time the TIE phantom comes aroubd we can easily defend ourselfs from it.

Another way to defeat Thraw is leaving as little evidence of our presence. Using astromech droids and other convenient droids to gather information from simpatizers
>>
>>2325850
Trench already knows how to deal with cloaking. Use tracking torpedoes locked to the ships magnetic signature.
>>
>>2325850
The TIE Phantom never saw its day in the light.
>>
>>2325854
of course it didn't anon, it's invisible.
>>
>>2325850
Actually that's fucking brilliant. No one ever suspects astromechs! We just commission special droids for maintenance and such but rigged with listening and spy equipment, and strategically place them on ships and planets and centers. A whole spy network you don't even have to pay!
>>
>>2325930
And mouse droids full of explosives
>>
>>2326451
What about Gonk droid? Can't chonk the gonk!

Also, here's about how many ships we'd need: https://youtu.be/IwJl4GC7OpI

Also, I don't think the Imperials have any scruples about targeting slave workers anymore.
>>
>>2326474
But Gonks are adorable and I cant bear the thought of hurting therm
>>
>>2326542
We can get into the business of selling bugged astromechs to consumers, and hoping that such a wide net would catch some juicy intel
>>
>>2326634

>>
Stupid idea I know, but what if we had a scaled down version of T-4 Turret Droid follow us around.
It could be quite useful is we had the right upgrades for it, plus it fits with our spider theme.
All we need to do is swing by Colla IV and pick up the blueprints for the bigger version and have a pirate tech mash it into a bite-size package.

In a fight on the field, Vader's Fist seems like the only ground forces that could give us trouble (what with stormtroopers and the like just being instructed to stand there and shoot at the enemy while looking imposing), the Empire really needed to maintain that grand army.
>>
>>2326716
Imperial Armour is a btich and a half to deal with. Our guns are 2 decades out of date, and Kuat doesn't cut corners.
>>
>>2326722
Imperial armor is still gonna be as effective against our blasters as any other blaster. The Empire really didn't love its ground forces who ruled through fear not usefulness.
>>
>>2326722
Yes they do, the their armor has a bunch of flaws. http://www.cracked.com/article_22702_5-dumb-accidents-that-made-star-wars-classic.html
>>
>>2326732
Armour as in vehicle divisions, not infantry armour.
We don't have much of an answer to AT-AT's and juggernauts
>>
>>2326679
I think we should put our Quaren scientist to harvest and synthesised the scorpions venom on the planet may be very usefull against organic troops. With our droids not needing to breath we can pump a ship with deadly venom and kill/empty a entire ship of it's naval crew.

Also we need to take our time and go to the Dearh Star rubles see if we can find blue prints for these.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/SPD-R4_spider_droid

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/BT-16_perimeter_droid

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_spider_droid

This last one is more a upgrade version of the Dawrf spider droid.
>>
>>2326742
OH, Got you may bad mate. Juggernauts lose to our droid tanks, and Hellfire droids should rip apart AT-At's
>>
>>2326742
Yes we do, it's called missiles.

We also have some ATAT's, AT-ST's, Juggernauts aboard our victory we cab ask our scientist to check the weapons and plating and steal it to our on vehicles.
>>
>>2326753
>>2326747
I'm fairly certain missle tech from 20 years ago will not penetrate the armour of an AT-AT.
Which is not even considering the fact we don't have the plans for Hailfires.
>>
>>2326747
200 B1 with a anti-vehicle missile launcher also do wonders.

And if i'm not mistaken the HMP have missile payload
>>
>>2326761
Do we even need missiles?
I figure AT-AT's can be solved by giving our vulture droids tow cables and having them pull a lasso maneuver like in canon.
>>
>>2326761
Then we need to either ask Zann for some blueprints or start making our combat sorties and go afyer some listebing posts.

We need some protocol droids to go and speak with separatist sympathizer. I say Zann would be a good choice but it would give him knowledge of what we are building.
>>
>>2326761
A soldiers goods are made by the lowest bidder.

Also, if a Plex missile can down most Imperial armored car's, Our actual warheads can.
>>
>>2326765
On the situation. If the ATAT has a group of other light or heavy units supporting it a payload might be more effective.
>>
>>2326765
Piloting intelligences might not be smart enough, but if they are, then we could try.

>>2326766
AT-AT armour "was virtually impervious to all but the heaviest of artillery weapons"
Hailfires and infantry sized missle launchers won't be anywhere near enough.
>>
>>2326769
I guess it wouldn't be hard to have our Vulture's do fly-by's with missiles in that case.
>>
>>2326770
AT-ATs are also far too tall and top heavy to be a credible threat to any sane commander.
>>
>>2326774
Not if they're supported by AT-STs, infantry and Anti-air.
They have big guns, and thick armour. Keep tow cables away from them and they'll walk all over most base defenses.
>>
>>2326770
HMP's have anti-vehicles missile anon.
>>
>>2326770
Even if they aren't smart enough for tow cables they are smart enough for kamikaze missions and three or four vultures are far cheaper then an at-at I'm guessing
>>
>>2326780
It's not even about tow cables. Simply deciding where to engage can make AT-ATs nonviable because they're so dependent on favourable conditions.
AT-STs and infantry are both susceptible to regular forces as is AA. Combined arms work both ways.
Hell getting a bunch of droids with blowtorches to lock up a joint could work if you really want to ignore the safety of the droids.
>>
>>2326790
So do the rebels. They still can't destroy AT-ATs without towcables.
>>2326793
Vultures don't have much fuel. Ramming would dent the armour at most.
>>
>>2326780
What about using our Quarren scientist so they can take a look at the ATAT's we have in the victory and see if they find a weakness in the desing?

For example the famous from battlefrint were you shoot the ATAT on the neck.
>>
>>2326799
the At-At had the dustance advantage. The rebels couldn't lock on then. Also there is EMP payloads.

Some Hyena droids as support troops could take care of it.
>>
>>2326798
Heck force aside wasn't Luke able to down a AT-AT by using his lightsaber as a blowtorch and throwing a thermal detonator inside it?
>>
>>2326811
Well, yeah, shoot it in the neck and it goes down. However shooting it in the neck is not an easy proposition. Your gonna be some ways away, getting shot at, and forced to attack from the side.
It's also a small target that I doubt a hailfire could reliably hit on a good day.
>>
>>2326839
>Your gonna be some ways away, getting shot at, and forced to attack from the side.
inaccuracy can be fixed with volume of fire and droids don't suffer from morale damage so they can take the shot as well under fire as at a firing range.
>>
>>2326839
Anon dear if a human can do it a droid can do it to. Just put a advance targeting system on it. Also if the neck is a weakness we can have the HMP shoot a misille on it and call a day. Those things are pretty fast after all. But then again we can be countered with air support and we then counter their air support with our on while the small infantary deals with the light vehicles using missiles we can have a hyena or a vulture sneak sideways or even throw itself into the things neck.
>>
>>2326847
Droids also have targeting system that is something that can be programed. Maybe the new software wouldn't just make then inteligent but bettter at shooting to?
>>
>>2326821
That doesn't say much lightsabers are bullshit
>>
>>2326854
Point he managed to cut througth a plate that is supposed to be heat and blast resistent.

Still. Using air units to maneuver towar the neck and lend the shot is a good one. The rebels only had a hard time against the ATAT'S in Hoth because they didn't had Y-wings and x-wings giving then air support.
>>
We really should melt down those AT-ATs and make more useful things. Those things are what a few hundred tons of metal?
>>
>>2326866
Yes they are. And the huge blaster they have could be as usefull in a tank of in a starship. Heck grab the gun and it's power cell, put some droid spider legs in it we get a walker with the power of a ATAT heavy blaster.

We could also sell it to the rebels give then some firepower so they become a heavier headache for palpy and vader and make then not pay attention to our little group.
>>
>>2326866
Probably get more selling our imperial goods to the rebels.
As well as the arc heavy fighters. Unless we want to put magnaguards in them to pilot.
>>
>>2326866
I suggest making some Bulwarks, they're big slabs of angled metal and can ram through smaller ships, the Techno Union used them to break through a blockade. Rebellion engineers made a Mk. III that was even bigger.

>>
>>2326969
*lend-lease policy with them, perhaps when the war's over we can sell them things, but not before.
>>
>>2326972
Actually, what even is a lend-lease, is it like what the Nazis did when they promised to pay everyone back when the war was over with?
>>
>>2326975
Lend lease is when you basically give your military equipment to someone for use in their war. You don't really get paid for it, nor can you expect your shit back because you don't really want used military goods
>>
Man, we only have a section of 4 ships, and what a hodgepodge it is.

Section
>The Section was the smallest group in the Separatist admiralty. It was commanded by a captain and was composed of 2-4 vessels, plus maintenance and support crews.

Flight
>The Flight was composed of 2-4 sections, and by extension, 4-16 vessels. It was commanded by a commodore.

Squadron
>The Squadron was made up of 3-4 flights, and by extension, 12-64 vessels. It was commanded by a commodore, and most often had a Battleship leading.

Task group
>The task group was composed of 3-10 squadrons, comprising 36-640 vessels. It was commanded by a rear admiral.

Task force
>The task force was composed of two task groups, with 72-1,280 vessels for each task force. It was commanded by a vice admiral.

Fleet
>The highest of the levels, the fleet, was composed of three task groups, and 200-4000 vessels among them. It was commanded by an admiral. At least a hundred fleets comprised the Confederate Navy.

The Repressor warps into the yavin system after a couple of hours travelling in hyperspace, having left the rest of the fleet at the nearby Rhen Var system in case of an emergency.

"And remember Model 7, we need that ship back in one piece by the end of this. If your presence is discovered I order you to retreat back to the fleet is that clear?"

"Roger Roger."

You are BX Commando droid serial BX-0070, and you have been placed in command of What CIS command has labelled.

OPERATION MYSTICAL EYE.
BEGIN.

As you enter the system you notice a fairly sizeable blockade of several victory classes and two imperial class star destroyers. It is clearly imperative that the enemy not realise you are here, or your failure could compromise the Admiral.

"Sir we've got a comm from an ISD orbiting the gas giant"

Oh hell.

You quickly don your disguise, a holoprojected facsimile of the vessel's former owner and open your speech mimicry software as the comm channel opens on screen.

"Ah captain, I'd almost given up hope of seeing you again, I assume from the state of your ship that you failed to destroy our mysterious problem?"

>>
>>2327175

>>
>>2327172
i can support that. Maybe it will force the empire to search more fiercely for Zann and once he's attacked we can go and support him making him see that our deal together is awesome.

>>

This.
>>
>>2327172
But the only problem i see with a Hutt is why would a Hutt attack imperial military? They would usualy go for their on and since Zann is apparebtly a pirate with something like the agressor i can see him being a thorn in the imps shoes.
>>
seems like most people can agree on
>Trench dindu nuffin
>It wuz dat zann boy.
5 more minutes to vote then I start writing.
>>
>>2327185
Good point, then again, I am sure that it is not that unlikely, maybe Mandaloreans?

Anyway, if nothing else is likely, say it was Zann alone. I dont suppose random pirates have enough ships to intimidate a Victory.
>>
>>2327182
Maybe say then Zann may have found a old CIS ship? I mean we do have a agressor and are in neutral terms.

It's not that we are allies just that the ship may be from the Consortium. Besides this is just the idea of a low tier captain and he needs a good excuse for abandoning his post.

And we also aren't one to let imps live so far so us either being a new adition to zann fleet is something. But we can replace that with saying we were send here to salvage something like says here instead:>>2327168
>>
>>2327186
Add that the Iron Grasp that was with us went down, no survivors, and say we had sighted them heading AWAY to hutt space.

>>
>>2327200
Cause we completed our mission but we're met with a bigger force than expected. Definetly Consortium ships AND ONLY CONSORTIUM SHIPS, and we managed to hurt them enough that they left. Instead of pursuing we came back to report. Boom.

So can i take from this that Garm caused so much damage to the blockade that Thraw had to be moved out of searching after Zann to come here?

Dam, having half of their fleet blockading the foundry worlds was actually a terrible move.
>>
>>2327209
Ugh, why doesn't it have three eyes?
>>
>>2327214
Mind you that half was divided again into like, three between all the foundry worlds. Divide and conquer I think is the saying.
>>
>>2327157
We have two choices before us.

1 we need to push the blame onto someone in order to cover our(the false identity ass) for our failure. In this case, our best bet is to either blame bad info, our superiors, or our underlings for the failure.
or
2 we could make up another excuse in which case we must say we succeeded but in that case. Thrawn is going to want a report and any holes...he will see. We are talking Thrawn here and he WILL look at them because of holy shit we are actually a competent Imperial Officer who got the job done.

Considering these two choices our best bet is to admit to failing and blame someone else who totally isn't us. This is something Thrawn would be expecting to see a typical failure of an Imperial Officer desperately trying to push the blame onto someone else in order to save his own ass. We do this draws the least amount of attention. The only question is WHO we should blame for the failure.
>>
>>2327218

"Well captain? give your report."

Your body language interpretation protocols are working overtime as you pretend to clear your throat, thinking back to the briefing with Admiral Trench.

"Remember, Imperial ships may well be in the sector, and you could be expected to report on what happened in the Rhen Var system. In the event you are questioned, blame Tyber Zann for everything, the First blood used to be his after all, and any witness accounts should corroborate the story, do everything you can to keep our capabilities hidden."

Remembering those wise words of wisdom, you prepare to recount your fictitious report.
"Well sir, taking into consideration that the enemy appeared to be going after CIS tech, I set a trap in the Rhen Var system, hiding sensor buoys on asteroids and waiting in open space until the sensor were triggered." You stare him in the eye and clench your jaw, giving your best "determined but scared/embarassed look".

"Unfortunately we misjudged the enemy's capabilities, There were several Zann consortium ships in system, including an Aggressor class. They destroyed the Grasp before it could bring it's shields online, they were destroyed with all hands."

The Chiss stares at you for a moment as he seems to process the information, then nods his head and strokes his chin.
"Yes, I expected something like this to happen. Yularen made a wise choice but we need to minimise the aftereffects. Do you know whether Dragon was onboard any of the ships there."

"I'm afraid not sir, we hyperspaced out before we could take any more fire."

He sighs and turns to a command interface next to him, fingers tapping across the holographic display as a series of patrol routes come up on the navigator's station.

"You did well captain, but I'm afraid I will be reassigning you now, we don't have the ships to spare hunting Zann down right and the blockade is too important."

The set of routes that he has transmitted over bring you just past Yavin two.
"You will take this patrol path, we cannot allow any more rebel ships to escape from the system, I'll already have a tough enough time finding them as it is. Best to keep them confined to the planet."

Oh boy i hope we bump into the Millenium Falcon.

>>2327354

that and it's way more believable to send a Shuttle rather than a fighter.

TIE's have ejector seats he can use those to pull out of the ship.

The listening post is in the vacum of space near Yavin 2 anon. Unless i got it wrong and it's in the planet.
>>
>>2327360
I though the listening post was another sphere ship floating in space. That's what the others were that's why i sugested the TIE.

We could always eject a escape pod and blame it to malfunction due to the fight. But this is Thrawn so he will shoot the pod just in case.

Guided by mechanical panic, you begin pressing random buttons as you plummet towards Yavin two, spinning desperately as you descend towards the planet's atmosphere.
Just before you hit the planet's atmosphere, you figure out how to activate the jetpack's booster, slowing you down enough that you're only a little bit heated by the time you hit the ground.
It's a rough landing though, and you're a good 5 clicks or so from the target location, best get moving.

Eventually you reach a small valley nestled in between two mountain ranges, with a lake in the centre, and what appears to be some kind of rudimentary settlement on an island in the centre, with several starships.

You scan the base and surrounding are for the ship, eventually realising that the base is built around the listening post, with additional structures having been added later to take advantage of the space.
This is about to get difficult.

You also spot the inhabitants of the base, and while it is impossible for you to feel physically sick, the sheer depths of the hate you feel actually forces your emotional centre to shut down for a few seconds to cool off, literally.

Trandoshans. Most likely pirates from the markings and rampant violence ongoing in the camp.
The camp itself has two exits, firstly is a large main gate, guarded by several heavily armed pirates. and the second appears to be a sealed waste pipe, with metal bars covering the entrance.
the day is about to end, and you have 6 hours until your pickup.

Going in during the day would be suicide, you're outnumbered and outgunned so you need to stack the deck as much as you can.
You wait for Nightfall, It's only a few hours, it should give you plenty of time to find a way to escape the planet.
Once night has fallen you stealthily pad your way to the waste pipe, Your E2 in one hand and vibroknife in the other you look around for guards before attempting to remove the metal guards.

You take your Vibroknife and get to work prying the bars out of position, bracing yourself and pulling with all your might. Eventually the bar comes free of the wall and flying out of your hands.
The trandoshan behind you would probably be cursing his luck right now, but his throat is impaled by a meter long durasteel bar.
How embarrassing.
You drag his body into a bunch of reeds near the water's edge and push yourself into the trandoshan sewers. Up ahead of you you hear two voices discussing the merits of sewer duty rather loudly.
"I'm just saying, the waste pipes are all barred dude, there's no way anyone could get in here with us. This is just the Boss punishing us for beating on that kid."

The higher pitched, and quieter of the voices responds.
"Yeah well it wasn't my fault, you're the one who got mad."
They stop talking for a second.
"I don't get why the boss is keepin him either, the rebels aren't getting out of this, we oughta just kill him and be done with it."

Well that's interesting.

You move through the sewers like a shadow in the night, passing by several different patrols and either evading or eliminating them, silently making your way towards the command post, eventually you are forced to leave the sewers, and you find yourself above ground well inside the enemy complex at what appears to be an intersection or main road. You can see a large structure in front of you, that upon further inspection turns out to be the old CIS listening post, main doors open but with lights on inside.

Moving closer you see that they appear to have turned it into a command centre of sorts with several, most likely higher ranking pirates inside checking monitors and talking in hushed voices about the imperials above.
You move inside, eventually finding yourself at the door to the control room.

You hear raised voices inside.

Nigga most of the GALAXY don't know what Jedi and Sith are. People thought for a long ass time that Darth Plageus was just some rogue Jedi. To a regular citizen, Jedi were mind fucking, baby stealing, lightsaber swinging celibates.

Honestly a lot of shit could have gone better had the Jedi just had a better PR team.

well the leaders of the trade federation knew what jedi were in the prequels, and a lot more people readily went, oh they're a jedi or hello master jedi,

I personally believe that pretty much everyone had a basic idea what Jedi were back in the republic days, but then the Empire went full north korean information control, so well educated people in the core thought they were evil, mind controlling assholes, and poorly educated farmbois in the outer rim thought they were myths.

You step back from the door and shoulder your rifle, You've no reason to fear these jedi, You're both fighting the trandoshans. Yeah.
Why are your manipulators still shaking?

You punch the door controls as hard as you can and when the door opens you dive in through the door, firing on a trandoshan soldier that raises it's blaster rifle to meet you.
Then you hit the floor and roll to your feet, the room is an absolute mess. Body parts are everywhere, and the only whole trandoshan is currently being strangled to death in the air by a half cybernetic jedi with a double sided blade.
A double sided red blade.

"oh no"
Then it hits you that there are actually two jedi in the room, the other one using his lightsaber to "unlock" a set of cells on the other side of the room.
the central computer is just to your left.

After a very awkward second of standing there and trying to think what to do, you go up to the one with the red lightsaber and politely introduce yourself. "Good afternoon, I am BX Model-0070, don't mind me, I'm just trying to get to that computer there behind you sir."

The jedi stares at you for a moment, clearly trying to decide whether or not to destroy you.

The younger one has finished freeing his comrades now, and jogs over to stand beside the other.

Funnily enough, it's the younger one that speaks up first.
"Oh Hey it's a B1! how ya doin' buddy?"
An outstretched hand was not the reaction you were expecting, nor was the insult of calling you a B1, however, you look past it and make a small mechanical hitch analogous to clearing an organic's throat.
Before you can speak however the taller one speaks up
"Who is your master droid?"

You stop for a second, and with a certain amount of trepidation, answer.
"That isn't particularly important right now, I need to access that computer then leave quickly, before the other pirates wake up and take issue with what we've done here."

The two jedi look between themselves, and the small group of soldiers behind them move to pick up blasters and rifle through pockets.

Again, it is the younger one who answers you, the older one having shrugged his shoulders and left to cover the entrance you came through. "Uh, sure I guess you can come with us, just as long as you're not with the Empire though."

You almost have to stifle a giggle as you assure the young jedi that you're not an imperial assassin droid.

Luke looks sheepish as he twists the now cloaked ship towards yavin 4, "well we were trying to bring the rebellion over to yavin two, so that the next time they went on a sortie down to our base they'd find it empty and think we escaped. Then they'd leave and we could actually escape."

POV: The Artist
There's no way that the rebels could possibly escape, most of their military forces had either left or been destroyed, their base was being watched around the clock by all manner of troopers, scouts and orbiting star destroyers.
However, you feel terribly uneasy, as if you've overlooked some critical fact, some piece of crucial information you cannot grasp and it eats at you for almost a full week.
And when the repressor hyperspaces out of system without your orders it just gets worse.
Later on, it will seem so obvious that the captain of the Repressor was a fake, that it will particularly vex you. You just wish you knew how they did it.

POV:The Admiral.

"So you brought me... the entire Rebellion."

BX-0070 at least has the common fucking courtesy to look sheepish. You wish that he'd had the sense to not bring you over 400 mouths to feed instead, most of whom were really preachy as well.
Not to mention the smug jedi bitch.

ASSET GAINED: BX-0070: A Relatively new Commando droid who despite having identical programming and hardware to other droids, is superior in almost every way. Abilities: SNAKE EATER. when fighting trandoshans or other Scum, gain a +10 bonus to all actions.

Roughly half an hour later, you are sat around a table with yourself and your generals opposite General Dodonna,(who looks like he's about to have a stroke) Senator Mon Mothma(who apparently is their political leader) and General/Princess Leia Organa(Formerly of Alderaan), discussing the future of the rebellion, and what exactly is going to be done moving forwards. you weren't expecting this, but now you're stuck with it. To tell the truth, were it not for the sickly sweet smile, you'd rather like Senator Mothma, she shows backbone unlike Dodonna, without being obnoxious like Princess Organa.
