Part Two: >>2284295

Once this quest has come to a close, due to popular demand, I plan to open a second version of the game with refined and improve rules. So old players and lurkers alike, do look forward to that.

Now, lets get back to the action!

>>2313122 Frakt
The ocean freeze continues.

>>2313143 Agarius
Continuing their killing spree, the demons strike the Cog. With the assistance of the Spider Queen, the cog and their airships are no more.

>>2313144 Sternes
The mist covers the shop territory, as its peaceful aura calms the mindworms from taking offensive action, additional to its lack of divine assistance in defense.

>>2313220 Grand Master
Inspired by the Spider Queen's void ships that assisted in the corruption of the crusader's northern fortress, they create their own void ships with docks and shipyards.

>>2313289 Thernax
Tundra expands, including what I forgot to update last turn.
Missionaries created, as they begin heading to the south to find people to join the religion in praise of Thernax.
Thanya remakes her Jold towers, improving her creation abilities, as the spires now stand at about the same size as Belweir's, with an impressively similar appearance. Meanwhile, she finishes her clouds, where Jolteen will conduct mating rituals in divine praise of Thanya.

>>2313647 Dedfuk
The mortals return to the material plane, where they will do deeds for you and slowly collect more members to increase divine worship to the blight.
The obelisks and blight receiver set their frequency onto the dimension of courage to locate Eli, opening at its relative position in the dimension. Immediately after the portal opens, water begins to thrust from the dimension of courage, flooding the area with seemingly endless amounts of water through the portal's large circumference.

>>2314030 Belweir
"It's no use... Though I could bring his physical form to become this tree, his soul is gone, lost to battle... I just thought as a goddess I could bring him back, I could create a new soul, but its pointless... No soul even I create could be identical to his..."

The sprites enter this realm of companionship, curious to learn more about it. Exploring the realm's colorful and peaceful environment, they draw closer to the town of white houses. They discover tall humanoid people here that are stunningly beautiful, donning colorful silk robes. It appears they spend their time with one another talking, feasting, and other pleasantries. This domain of calm and peace greatly contrasts that of the cosmos and it's indefinite politics and war.

>>2314350 Brrrlghhr
Construction on the oltar structures continues, bordering much of the main hiveforest.
Dedfuk continues negotiations on the hex trade, asking:
>"Why. Do. You. Seek. To. Trade. For. My. Land. And. Why. Offer. Those. Two. Specifically."
Message will be left to Eli.

>>2314885 Spider Queen
Not giving the saytyr mountain was a technical mistake on my part, my bad.
The spider forces, with assistance of Agarius' troops on the eastern side, claim the remainder of the Cog.

The spiderfolk continue to peer through the veil of time, hungry for more information. With no ulterior connection to the Cosmos but the Goddess of Creation, they peer further into her past.
A large platform can be seen in the middle of a starry void, perhaps an unfinished version of the Cosmos? On it's surface, a grand battle takes place. Several divine people can be seen; a tall, pale, older man wearing white; a fish-tailed woman with short blue hair that wields a trident; a red fiend with white eyes wearing black robes; a six-legged, green-fur, one eyed, goat creature; a delicate and beautiful dark-skinned woman with seafoam hair and a pink dress; and a foul many-eyed gray beast with several tentacles. Fighting along side these deities stand several champions of many races, and two particularly familiar figures. One is a brown-haired short-horned man, wearing white armor; the same man from the previous vision, albeit alive. Fightiing beside him we can see a young woman with scruffy short white hair, clad in steel armor from the neck down. From her facial structure, you'd recognize this to be the goddess of creation, although she does not glow with the same divine radiance, having no glowing eyes nor 7-star-symbol upon her forehead. These deities and champions all battle against an entity of pure evil and destruction, cackling as the battle continues. Blood drips from his face as he moves at the pace of lightning, flashing spells constantly to fend off each champion and deity alike. The green-skinned figure appears to have a similar divine radiance alike that of a god, despite his mortal origin. The vision has much more to show, although only so much information is gathered at this time.

>>
>>2315116 Eli
As Eli begins to heal his legs with restoration magic on the seafloor, the serpentine creature circles around his vicinity, continuing to be illuminated in the red lights along its long body.
"Oh? So now you wish to speak, after I've demonstrated my prowess? Fear not, false-demigod, I have no intentions to kill you. It's clear no matter what, it's impossible for me to provide a fair battle here, and though you have no courage to face me head on, to kill you would be dishonorable. I asked nothing of you but answers to my questions before, and you disrespected such desires, so I see no reason for me to answer your questions, unless you can convince me otherwise. You may now leave as you wish, be it back to where you came, or to elsewhere in these waters, so long as you're wasting my time no more."
Brrlghhr says:
>It again proposes trading territory for technological assistance in arcane energy manipulation and storage, and asks for Eli's conditions.

News comes of The Undead's actions upon the material plane, and outrage is had. The clerics pray and meditate for days on end, the artificers work furiously to apply their talents to the art of magic, and The Grand Master himself seethes at the idea of the taint spreading further. But, will their combined efforts be enough to replicate The Undead's feat? To breach through, and begin influencing the realms where only mortals tread?

(I honestly don't know. If this ends up being a multi-turn project, I'm 100% okay with that.)

[Thernax Keeps taking the lands of Idanikos and converting it to Tundra.]

The time has come that now Thernax shall decide upon his official desires and patronage as a God. [He declares himself a God of Life and Earth], specializing in that of sentient mortals and the terrain they live upon. It is within his doctrine that all living mortals deserve a quality of life above that of simple survival, and that it is the purpose of the world's races to construct grand civilizations to serve that purpose. Let none under Thernax's gaze go hungry, and let none die due to their poverty.
So says Thernax, so it is.

Gazing upon The Waters of Protea, Thernax sees the potential loss of magics that may plague the realm if the land is lost.to ice without its secrets being taken. In that, he shall allow a small portion of responsibility to Thayna. Thernax shall take Thayna to The Shoreline and tell her about the people living below the water's surface and their eventual end. [Thernax instructs Thayna to go into The Protea Sea and bring him the secrets of Poetry Magic]

"Why make a new soul?" Belweir asks, upside down and dragging the point of his "head" on the ground as he drifts lazily through the air. "If he already had a soul, it's probably where he left it. I can go look for it, if you want!"

The humanoid people are greeted by swarms of hundreds of floating, shining rocks with lights inside that blink and flicker nonsensically as the thaumites, devoid of any means for communicating through sound, attempt to all say hello to everyone at once. They fly in through open windows, doors, chimneys, and anything else open wide enough for them to fit through!

Thrilled at the success of her latest conquest, the Spider Queen continues expanding her northern colony by joining her ally Thernax in taking the dungeons of Idanikos. She is convinced the infinite depths would be a suitable home for her children to to lurk and hunt.

Also, she sends her water striders out to claim and preserve some of the Protea's ocean before it all gets swallowed by Frakt's indomitable ice.

She sends her spidermen into the former realms of the Cog, to see what marvels they might salvage.

Part of the dungeon region is claimed by the spider forces, however, you're going to have to wait for next turn to claim Protea area. Only one attack per turn.
Very little of Cog territory remains that isn't covered in magma or simply transformed. However, in the ruins of cog land you've claimed, you manage to salvage some coil guns and light prisms. The coil guns seem impossible for a spider to properly hold, however.
The goat women use their expert carving skills to help construct and improve the Great Weaver's temple. Speaking of which, within, they continue their study through history.

The same vision continues, as the battle rages on atop this cosmic platform. In the mix of flashing spells and clashing blades, the enemy figure continues to move at the speed of lightning, fighting each at once as if, making it near impossible to see its form. Suddenly, that blur of motion stops, as his form can be seen behind the white-armored man, driving a sword through his chest, kicking the corpse off the blade. The greenskinned figure has a twisted grin and glowing white eyes, his voice unintelligible at this point as it warps with raw power. The pre-divine goddess of creation screams in horror as she watches. With no time to mourn or assist, the cackling figure's speed picks back up. The vision continues, as does the battle.

Mental, I guess. Just reach out into the unknown and try to communicate with whatever presence I can and maybe send a couple scouts in that dimension as well.

In the meanwhile, a group of Fairies look down on a lone Elf from above, their faces showing pure hatred as he searches for them.

Just recently, this Elf and his comrades had started hunting down their group, calling them 'Terrorists' and 'Inferior Ones'.

T'was not their fault that they simply had enough of his race's cruelty and decided to free some of their captive fellows and kill any who tried to stop them.

T'was only justice.

And so, their apparent leader grabbed a rock. A large one. And with all his might, all his rage, he threw it right at the Elf's armored head.

Ordinarily, this would have given them no result at all, but for a brief moments, the rock seemed to glow with a strange power as it was picked up, and it got engulfed in flames while flying towards it's target!

Headshot. The Elf goes down, revealing the Fairies' position to his allies. They soon enough get surrounded and captured.

Usually, they would have been executed on the spot, but something about that rock was strange...Further examination showed that it was infused with some sort of powerful magic.

It was enchanted! Under orders of the Fae King, the Enchanter and his group are immediately put to work, figuring out how exactly to use their powers on numerous other items with numerous other results.

Enchanting has been learned.

The oltar structure enclosure is nearly finished. The oltar and jold structures are built by the void coast. They would come to discover that there simply just isn't any arcane energy in the void. The void, as its name would infer, is completely devoid of any arcane energy. Demigods cannot create things here because there is a lack of arcane energy to manipulate into creations.
On the other hand, with the assistance of the arcane energy stored in the hivetrees and oltar, they find ease in achieving planar travel. Entering the dimension of companionship, they would be greated with a similar environment found by Belweir's thaumites: Pink skies, purple trees, seafoam grass, pristine waters, and a beautiful morning mist. Mountains can be seen in the distance to the west, as crystalline clouds hug its summit. No signs of life, beyond plants, can be seen in the immediate vicinity.
Various mortals from Thernax's region enter the northern hiveforest, looking to welcome others into the church of Thernax.

Sternes feels through the dimensional fabric, in search of souls beyond the Cosmos. He would find there to be no unliving souls in any of the other dimensions, except the dimension of independence. The dimension of independence appears to be the afterlife of all the other dimensions, especially to the material plane.

Resting on the kinetic waves of force, the void ships sit in the quiet void. Just beyond the horizon, they see hell unleashes; endless amounts of demons soaring through the skies, headed directly for the island. Catapults, trebuches, and ballistas are loaded with holy ammunition, firing through the endless hordes of flying demons. The siege weapons tear through hundreds, but thousands more take their place. Hellfire rains down on the ships, burning them to ash as the crusaders plummet to the void. Landing on the island, the demons desecrate the holy lands, as the ground turns to magma. The dimensional barrier is breached; humans begin their escape to the material plane as they run for their lives.

The call is reached out to the unknown, received by a mysterious divine entity.
"A call? A call from beyond a star? A call from the land which none shall be?" A call from the land which none truly are? A call from a land the same as we? But who is the one behind this call?"
The scouts enter the portal, finding themselves on a stone island that floats aimlessly through a dark void. The sky completely devoid of color, with an exception for two ostensibly blue suns that rest motionless. Despite the visible suns, everything appears to share the same dim luminosity; producing no shadows. Mysterious particles float amongst the air like dust under a flashlight's beam. The air feels cold and devoid of life.
Enchanting invented!

Well then, looks like I have a lot of business to attend to.

The Fae King responds to the voice, rather interested in it's strange voice.

"I, the Lord of the Fae, speak to you, potential ally. In the past years, I have gotten somewhat bored with my companions in demi-divinity and decided to explore a tad. Might I ask of your name?"

The scouts go further in, using light magic to investigate, fire magic to warm themselves and any other power they can to survive and discover whatever there is to be discovered in this new realm.

A delegation of warriors come from the Fae Lands to the former island of the Crusaders, now occupied by the Demons.

"By decleration of Our King, gods praise his power, this stretch of land originally belonged to him, as did it's resources before the mongrels took it over. By right of discovery, we ask you to leave at the quickest opportunity and return this land to it's rightful owner."

The Elven diplomat states his request shortly and honestly, apparently not phased by his circumstances. His guards seem on edge, their hands near their weapons or slightly glowing in preparation of a battle.

The Fae King, after speaking with the entity, looks to what he was doing previously. Ah, creating a new species, yes?

He continues wielding his magic on 2 Elves and 2 Fairies, twisting and changing them. Yes, they are indeed very different now.

Short, well built and the males are bearded. They are unconscious, too tired from the ritual, but they are now some of the first of a new race in the Fae King's control.

Their magical abilities are gone, no trace of them anywhere. They are replaced with an innate ability to work with metal, to change it and other materials to their will. Their minds have been suitably improved to be fit to their task. They are the Dwarves, and they are ready to serve.

After all of that, forces are sent towards Protea's closest territories in an attempt to take them over quickly.

With your people's tech and knowledge, they don't necessarily know how to replicate the coil gun's complexity, but the human slaves are able to use them with ease. Similarly, the light prisms are fairly easy to make use of and replicate.
Returning to the vision, they can see the grand battle coming to a close. As the evil figure is now bloodied and beaten, one of the many champions plunges a mystical blade through his core, destroying the mortal who grew too powerful for his own good. The moments afterwards are silent, and mournful. For the one lost in this battle, and the many lost before it. But the deed had to be done, and without their enemy standing in their way any longer, it was time. The deities gathered in a circle, each holding an orb that radiates with divine power. The champions stood to the side, watching, as the pre-divine goddess of creation entered the center of the circle. The gods began, one at a time, saying a line of the prophecy. The orbs glowed brighter, as the pre-divine goddess began to rise in the air. She glowed like that of a star, as bright light shined from within her; light burst in all directions from her figure, as the divine energy within her was unlocked. She floated back to the ground, as the light fades, in a slightly new form. Her eyes glow gold, as does a 7-sided star on her head. The Goddess of Creation had transcended.

The scholars determine that as a result of making the trees contain arcane energy, this in turn gave the trees souls of their own; thus the ability to passively produce magic.
The remaining scholars identify that Eli is actually headed directly towards the treepeople's relative location, albeit in the dimension of courage. Perhaps the opening of a portal could cut through his path and bring him home at long last.
The wall of oltar structures is complete at long last!
The Goddess of Creation responds:
"Then there's no mistake... In creating this tree and expanding the cosmos, I must have created other living beings by accident... It's clear I have much learning to do on controlling my new abilities, but I had no idea exactly how much power this truly is... If what you're saying is true, then not only did I create life, but I created life powerful enough to make life of its own? I fear I may have made a grave mistake..."

Following the others members of the web a troop of elementals fly toward Brrr's lands to mist shit up.
OFF+5

The divine barrier must be bypassed. Many souls have come in the mist, no matter their race, Crusaders, Fae, Mermaids... Looking for them a collect of information is done. Did any of them know how to breach dimensions? How to build a portal? Will they share?
>>
>>2334787
"I don't think it'll hurt our pantheon at all," Belweir says with confidence. "I don't think any of the other eleven demigods could make me, Thernax, and Norhes Lune stop being friends!"

As the elementals enter into the heart of the derelict domain of the missing demigod, an impossibly tall spire of thaumite erupts violently from the ground of 0722 and warps the fabric of the hex's reality, slowly wreathing the trees of the missing demigod's world in coats of sharp, clear rock. A massive glass eye floating between two forked points atop the tower swivels and focuses on the mist-filled hexes about it, sparking with a massive arsenal of contained skyfire.

"What you're busy with, I wonder? With these questions my thoughts asunder. I hope we shall talk soon, you weren't a pest. A new mind to unravel is always the best."
Taking the scouts back and breaking connection, the communication ends.
Dwarves begin work on improving metallurgy and improving equipment.
Your forces fail to break Brrrlghhr's defenses. It appears his treepeople have long prepared for this day.

>>2334876 Brrrlghhr
Full work goes into further preparing defenses for the plethora of attacks to follow. The portal is opened for Eli to welcome him back into The Cosmos, but the offer is rejected as he turns tail.
The treepeople in the dimension of companionship find themselves approaching a village of beautiful white houses, accompanied by equally beautiful humanoids. They sit at tables, drinking and chatting as the treepeople approach.
With help of the oltar structures and the entire hiveforest's arcane production, a grand amount of arcane energy is collected with ease.

>>2334891 Thernax
This is a first for you, Thernax. Your barren lands of salt and willows will not form this day, as your attack is met with seemingly impenetrable defenses. No progress is made.
On the other hand, Thanya begrudgingly turns over poetry magic to you.

You and your people explore the island a bit. It's not substantially big, but it's not the smallest of islands either. It's covered in a wide variety of flora, with subtropical forests and plantlife across its entire surface. There area a few rivers and ponds for access to fresh water. The crusaders begin their new life, constructing a very basic settlement, hunting and gathering for food. There appear to be no intelligent inhabitants on the seemingly uncharted island.

>>2335174 Dedfuk
A few more portals are constructed across various corners of the undead's territory. The original cultists happily accept the gift, taking it back to the material plane to share with the other mortal cultists. They promise to increase devotion in return for your gift.

>>2335300 Sternes
Brrrlghhr's divine protection and arcane hiveforests deny the mist's expanse. You don't manage to break his defenses. Now that many have fallen from various demigods that have worked on dimension tech, you would be able to discover the secrets of such. However, there's important distinction between divine and dimensional barriers.

I don't know what lesser pantheons you may have formed here in the Cosmos, but I speak of The Pantheon of 7. They run things in a specific way for specific reasons, and all the other deities have made sure their demigods follow such ways... Please tell me none of you have touched any other dimensions."
The young goddess at this point has cleared her tears away, appearing distraught not in grief, but in concern. She now stands, full alert and empowered in a divine aura, examining her surroundings and beginning to sense the dimensional barriers.

The spire of thaumites rise in Norhes' empty land, observing the mists of sternes with its watchful eye.
>>2336897 I'll roll it, just for you Sternes. I'm sure Belweir succeeds with a 17.

>>2337827 Spider Queen
Brrrlghhr has greatly proven his defensive capability today. Or, perhaps, the opposing forces have all failed in their attacks. Perhaps this is a message from the gods, sparing him time to have a chance. The Spider Queen spares much more life than necessary for an attack, making zero progress in land claim.

>>2343317 Eli
You turn back from Belweir's offer, trusting the connection with your mindworms more. Eli successfully reaches his mind worms through mental link, as they bring him back home to The Cosmos.

This world, full of avarice and cruelty, is not what Brrrlghhr wanted to create.

This life, made of strife and loss, is not what Brrrlghhr wanted for mortals.

Time is running out. The preparations are as complete as they ever will be. The moment has come.

>All treepeople leave their homes and evacuate into temporary camps within the oltar enclosed hiveforest. The remains of crusader refugees are invited along as well.
>Industrial machinery is dismantled and moved by ship to the Geyser Lake, but is assigned the lowest priority. All treepeople MUST finish evacuating this turn, the rest is incidental.
>Having located the settlements of locals bordering the empty space in the Plane of Companionship discovered last time, the scouts return with their reports. The coordinates are locked.
>Once all preparations are complete and every treeperson is inside the forest, the final stage of the project commences.

Once, a long time ago, the demigod Brrrlghhr set out to create land full of beauty and wonder, and mortals able to appreciate them. In those years, this dream seemed achievable, and Brrrlghhr was content. Yet it wasn't long before all the power of other demigods turned from creativity to fighting. Though Brrrlghhr's land remained untouched by war for a long time, it was clear this won't last forever. Appetites once whetted by blood will not return to peace.

This is why for the last several turns the treepeople, under the direction of priest-scholars, worked on an enormous project. The lacy oltar structures lining the borders of the forest form a giant arcane machine. It's purpose is singular: to pierce the barrier between dimensions.

It's a pity Eli refused to make use of our portal, but we will do it even without his help. We have no other choice.

>Pouring all the accumulated arcane energy into the oltar structures, the treepeople attempt to transport everything inside the oltar enclosure - the people, the forest, even the layer of soil the forest is growing in - to the Plane of Companionship, into that empty expanse the scouts discovered.
>The lands on this plane are abandoned.
>>2343317
>Though if Eli does lend his expertise to the operation, all the lands are instead bequeathed to him.

We long knew this day would come, though hoped it would not. Press the big red button!

I want to leave the game, but instead of just stopping posting and leaving Brrrlghhr's creation hanging dry, I'm doing this.

Should they find them, they'd open another portal back to the Fae Lands but conveniently "forget" to guard it, allowing the Humans entry into their world once again.

Not sure this counts as an action so i'll do a development, but if I can only do one of these, choose the Human Dimension instead of

Inspired by the Dwarves' genius, the Fae King focuses his Powers on 1326, creating a tall stone inscribed by numerous symbols and strange letters. These will empower the Fae's magic massively in preparation of the push into Brrrlghhr's lands.

Determined to achieve something in this war, the Fae push onwards, throwing body after body at the Treemen's potentially empty lands, starting from 1426 and taking as much land around it as possible.

If I'm not mistaken, something really unique is about to happen, and it's relevant to what we're talking about even!" He turns back to the woman with the smile in his eyes again. "Let's go watch!" He exclaims before his form dissolves into a fine prismatic powder, drifting on the wind to recoalesce at the edge of the Goddess's territories, watching Brrrlghhr's lands and people as they are all taken into the gap between planes.

Several thousand floating crystals can be seen rushing to join the evacuating tree people, lighting the way for the friendly folk and seeking new lands with them. Any new settlements beyond the wormhole shall have the protection of thaumium, and the light of friends.

"Oh no... No... You don't understand! This type of action is forbidden! My father would never allow it! And with this, there's no avoidi--"

"Hmm. I saw an impressive specimen the other night, terrorizing an orcish village. I think they called it a T-Rex?"

Santiago grins, wings unfolding as he takes to the air. "Lets see how fearsome we can make them, then!"

Alright, fire dude is Ambrius. Gonna do a little interaction but not count it as an action because all i'm doing is talk to my fucking son.

The Fae King, rather excited to meet his son again after such a long time, approaches the still recuperating Ambrius, who's sitting out in the Castle gardens, staring at a handmade fire on his hand.

"Well, it's certainly been a while, wouldn't you say?"

A little while beforehand, the Dwarves had watched Ambrius and his Fire Magic, truly inspired by his control of it. Not to be outdone, they work day and night, combining every ability and magic style they can, they eventually create a true work of art.

A gun. After inspecting whatever they could scrounge from Wu-Saug's former lands, they create new plans, taking only the best materials and spending a surprising amount of time enchanting them in different ways to see how they might work, eventually finding a solution.

Hundreds of tests and modifications later, they finally got a succesful result. In mere months, the weapons are sent out to every soldier, ready for use.

I assume that the Elf, Fairy and Dwarf soldiers sent to the Crusaders' island will be able to help protect them without an action.

Thernax, now in his time void of wars and free to create once more, makes a new material. He spends his time decorating his grand hills and mountains in a reddish salmon ore that shines bright in the moonlight as if its surface was crystalline to the touch.

Thalner is a material that is much like copper in composition, however it has the power to dampen and nullify magic as it becomes near it. Magical trinkets that are placed to close to it start to lose their powers, poetry magic said near it holds no effects, etc. His people will find it all too useful in defending themselves against magical substances.
