Last time on EDQ, we ended up seducing Annabelle and attempted to seduce Frankizka, bankrupted the world, and conquered Germany.

Meanwhile, as Renexizious... You fly home with Francisco Franco.

"Friend, I must thank you for saving my life from those devil-accursed vampires and the foul demon worshipers."

"Yeah, no problem..."

Of course, now you have a foreign head of state in your home, and you can't help but come up with some dastardly plans...

>Have Elizabeth seduce him, and become loyal to your cause.
>...Have Elizabeth psion him... (Potentially make him a mindslave!)
>Offer to make him... Better. (Offer mtuagen?)
>Force him to become your vassal or puppet...
>...Kill him?

And hey, I'd appreciate it greatly since I think of you as a friend."

Of course, he at first dismisses it, but seeing evidence for himself of how superior it is, he can' help but agree...

Massively, overnight the economic situation in Sweden transforms. Previously middle of the road, middle class families find their savings to be quadrupled overnight, turning them into members of a quite wealthy upper middle class. Meanwhile, the wealthy overnight find themselves nearly twice as rich as their American counterparts, and a wave of construction, partying, and overall celebration in your name begins...

Loyalty in Sweden has massively gone up.
The wealth of Sweden is now more then America, and boasts the highest living conditions in the world.

We tried being nice. Now we do it my way. Offer them the following choice:

America either pulls out of Japan or we begin economic sanctions against them (trade tariffs, bans on certain imports, etc) and seizing assets of american companies in the commonwealth. If they do pull out however, we will grant them a cash settlement that should enable the government to restart their failing economy and promise not to develop nuclear weapons or perform major operations in america (e,g the current madness that is south america where we could easily steam roll the entire region in a few months) for the next three years.

Fact is that if they Americans refuse, they are screwing themselves over. Their economy loses their main export market as well as a major if not main provider of industrial capacity and resources from the Russian factories and the African colonies. Not to mention all the assets we seize could potentially bankrupt entire conglomerates. This is before mentioning, they know we could easily take south america and that given our scientific abilities, nukes aren't off the table.

If they refuse, we can parade it in the news and turn their public against their government. That they would willingly doom their economy to major sanctions when the alternative was a massive boost to it, all over the Japanese.

Worst comes to worst...well I've been wanting to perform a military parade / state of the nation speech to our people for sometime now, to marvel them with our achievements, both military and civilian. If we prove we made Annabelle and her nuclear abilities or even just her conventional ones, the Americans odd to accept that we could force the issue if we wanted to. Plus, I really want to do a nice big military parade and show off some of our prototype weapons. We developed decent lasers awhile back and if we scale them up, we could have a prism tank in a bout a weeks work.

So essentially, I want to prototype a bunch of new "sci-fi"-esque weapons and deploy them to subjugate the region and bring it into the commonwealth. Both as a way to test some ideas of mine and also for the PR.

"Citizens of the commonwealth, I address you today as the leader of the largest, strongest and richest nation to have ever graced the surface of this bountiful earth. Yet I must thank each and every one of you who has made this possible. As of this moment in time, we are the most prosperous, most advanced and unified force on this planet. Such that, even as the nations around us descend into war and chaos, recession and decay, we have stood taller than ever before.

The fact remains that this wouldn't be possible without the efforts of every one of you who toils in the fields, factories, offices, labs and army. We are all parts of something greater: something that has allowed for an unrivalled age of growth and living for all those in our nation, something that has raised hundreds of thousands out of poverty and created new opportunities for advancement.

I want you all to understand we are at the verge of a new era of technological and social development unlike any seen since the industrial revolution. We shall soon see the efforts of inventors, scientists, designers and engineers raise us even further. We are entering the future we only dreamed of a few scant years ago. It wasn't long ago that the mere concept of a orbital communications system would've been seen as a impossibility yet it was not long ago I launched a satellite into orbit that proves the idea is possible and even reasonable with our technology!

We stand on the precipice of an era of advancement which shall see more and more of society become interconnected. Communications are ever accelerating and ever advancing: becoming smaller, cheaper and easier to use. Yet at the same time, we have developed ever more advanced automated machines, that if fed information, can make decisions far faster than a human.

Your work, however insignificant, still contributes to this. So take pride in your work and know you are bringing about a better world and most importantly, that it is by all of our efforts that our glorious nation has become so amazing for those that live in it."

Unlike practically every other single South American country, Brazil is actually very powerful. Having taken over Venezula, Paraguay, Colombia, it's practically the superpower on South America, led by the very popular president Getulio Vargas, a practical hero in the eyes of most Brazilians. It has an economy largely regarded as the "Sleeping Giant" of South America, and in fact, is one of the few countries unaffected by your gold... Mostly due to the huge vast reserves of gold, and economic nationalization preventing much influence to them...

Compared to this, the Brazilian army is very well trained although does have dated equipment, most of it from America.

Brazil is largely on neutral relations with you and America.

You of course, decide to be polite, and you make your way to the presidental palace...

Eventually, after some insistance, you get into the president's office, who shakes hands with you.

"You need something, dragon?"

"Well, I'm here to discuss you joining the empire..."

"...Go ahead."

Roll me a 1d100+10 to see if you can convince him to join.

You are now Frankizka, and currently, you and Elizabeth in a hotel in France, in seperate rooms.

Which Liz seems to fail at understanding, with her STILL desiring a relationship with you! Disgusting homosexual... Even if she might indeed, be a bit alluring, her pheromones are not going to be influencing you any time soon like some commoner...

Of course, your here to investigate, not have sex, unlike what Liz seems to desire, and so far your investigations have led to quite a few suspects... Perhaps someone on the French king's council, perhaps a communist party, maybe even vampires... Who knows... But you DO know, that clearly mages are at work...

"Oh my God! Ren actually did it!"

You hear from Liz's room. She seems to be celebrating... Well, judging from the noise, Ren's conquest of South America.

She of course, comes drunkingly stambling into your room, interrupting your thoughts, and attempting to put her breasts right in your face.

"Sacreu bleu! Do you have no shame, you drunken harlot? Go back to your damn room!"

"...Come on... Just relax a bit..."

Giving a bit of shudder after her unchaste thoughts, Frankizka begins to deduce...

Firstly, it seems quite evident that almost everyone in France despises Renexizious and Elizabeth. Quite plain to see. But the reason behind it seems to not be just simple nationalism, but something more. After some minor paperwork, you find an interesting trend.

Apparently, the only few people who indeed like Renexizious seems to be on the king's court. Meaning that it's from the bottom up, not from the top to bottom in this loyalty problem.

In fact, you believe that the media has a lot to do with this, as you observe the extremely biased news, newspapers...

But who's funding these? The Commonwealth censors these, right? How they are getting past the censors?

Frankizka of course, begins to delve deeper into this... While Elizabeth tries to break out of her room.

Roll me a 1d100+40 for continuing to detect...

+25 for getting Elizabeth to calm down, and stay in her fucking room and not make any damn noise. Your doing work!
+5 for thinking a tad minute on Ren's happiness when you present your findings to him... By Sigmar, you miss him a bit...

>"I hope he aproves of my findings... It has been a while sjnce I've been with him."
>>
Of course, she continues to delve deeper...

Eventually, she traces the sources of the news. Strangely enough, back to multiple universities. Which are funded by American companies, which are supported by British financiers...

So the French media are being funded overseas to be such obnoxious assholes!

Well, that was simple... But it doesn't explain it getting past the censors.

Of course, you hear the door outside collapse, and Liz knocking on your door.

"...C'mon sssweetie... Jussst a hug? You really shouldn't lock the door on me like that..."

"FUCK OFF! For the last time, I am trying to work!"

"...Fine then..."

You hear her slither away. Finally! Some peace and quiet.

Roll me a 1d100+40 for deducing further...

+25 for thinking if you were too harsh on Liz... She just wants a hug, after all... But she is a fucking homosexual.
+5 for considering one of Liz's snek hug... It could be comfortable... Maybe...
>>
Rolled 72 + 70 (1d100 + 70)

Soon enough, Frankizka manages to deduce a few key things.

Firstly, it seems that these censors are... Well, they're not doing their job, firstly. Secondly, it seems that the french institution of media seems to be ignoring your censors...

Hm.

Strangely, you can't help but notice the French professors all have PHDs from the same college... A notably marxist college in France shut down when Renexizious took over...

...Not to mention mages degrees? But it doesn't even list where their magic degrees came from...

...Strange.

Meanwhile, you hear Liz slither back into her room, and you hear her eating. She seems to have stopped celebrating, and... Well, not really talking, just eating.

...You can't help but feel bad... God, did you get her upset?

...By Sigmar, why do you even care...

Roll me a 1d100+40 for your final deduction roll...

Frankizka feels a bit... Hot and bothered, but doesn't make a move on her. Surely, Liz can figure it out for herself, while you think about her wonderful... Form...

While thinking lustfully, you come up with a very... Interesting conclusion.

Indeed, all of these professors indeed ARE marxists, not to mention have... Illusion magic and enchantment... Along with plenty of recorded meetings with your censors...

Then, you find something even MORE disturbing. They've been in meetings with newspapers, media, all sorts of shit worldwide! In fact, as you delve through documents of the USSR... It seems they've been trained by the KGB as the... Brainwashing Department. The Psi-Corps.

Oh boy.

In fact, one of them are in a meeting in two days with a influencial newspaper as we speak... Seemingly having ties to the Elven Dominion, and Sigmar knows what...
