As night fell on the city of Iti'a'Ropku the auroras that colored the skies compete with the lights of battle still raging across the hemisphere. Balls of flame marked explosions where strikecraft were destroyed or missiles detonate, streams of fire and smoke tracing their path to the surface. Occasionally the darkness was broken by blinding light as anti-orbital lances reach up to strike with beams of concentrated energy that turns night to day.

Across the snow-covered plains and mountains the osogo watch as their once peaceful home comes under assault yet again. They heard of how the coastline had been changed the last time the ominous ships of the Empire had arrived and fought with the seemingly friendly Armada that all knew of by this point. Now they saw first hand who it was that defended them from the cruel invaders, the Reconstructed standing guard over their cowering herds and driving off any of the lingering osjiic that wished to harass them. In hushed words the osogo speak among themselves and look to the Crawlers that watched the skies, the similarity between them and the undead too significant to ignore.

Iti'a'Ropku itself sat under its dome of refracted light and energy, clouds of flying Reconstructed and patrolling strikecraft moving in a constant patrol around the throne of the Necrotic Armada. It's population, swollen into the millions in the aftermath of liberating the slave population of Kadna, watch the news displayed by holoscreens in their bunkers and shelters. Fears runs through them, many believing the Empire had come to reclaim or punish them. However those of the Armada citizens that had been here longer, and even some of the pirates that had been forced to stay in the city after the alarms had sounded, did their best to reassure them of their safety.

Far below the city in the labyrinth of tunnels and passages that honeycombed the mountains and earth, beneath the steam-filled tunnels of the Stonestars replacement home, past the miles of passages dedicated to the vast farms where kelp and catoblepas were farmed, the salvation of the Armada stirred.

In a chamber constructed of reality-locking material a chrysalis of warped metal, flesh, and bone pulses with power. Sparks of Arc race across its surface as the fires of the Void and Solar swirl within, the core of Necrotic might causing the forces to beat like the pulse of a heart. Within this shell of matter and supernatural energy your body was broken down and reformed over and over, your mind and soul struggling to take in each of these forces and make it a part of yourself.

Soon though, you can sense your Reconstruction into the Abomination that the mysterious entities only known as the Three feared you would become, would be complete. Your mind reaches out, through the undead that each shared a spark of your power and flowed out like a mighty web, a promise mirroring the one delivered by your foe the Sun-Eater.

Soon. Be brave, be strong.

The Osjiic Empires assault falters!

Beneath the lunar surface the Disciples of the Voidknight Order have barely managed to snag victory from the jagged fangs of defeat at the hands of the Deathshead Guardians sent to defeat them and defile the holy Void Temple.

While they did manage to damage the vast doors that guarded the Temple with the aid of a powerful and mysterious artifact a Disciple that had once been a loyal Voidsinger within your Necrolyte Legion was able to achieve victory and bring the Deathshead low.

Reinforced by fleets brought from the Bastion system by Predator Eiton and Punisher Muic the attacking Imperial fleets have been stalled in their invasion attempts. Beyond those forces that exited FTL dangerously close to the atmosphere of Horizon's Drop and unleashed their flights of strikecraft, the picket forces that formed initially around the friendly Armatocere Warships led by the Warleader Caecet proved capable of preventing a large fleet from attacking the planet directly.

War has come for Horizon's Drop, not for the first time and certainly not the last, but the New Necrotic Armada struggles on to protect their world and the living that had come to call it home.

It is time to drive them back and reestablish peace throughout the system.

Aww yeah, baby, just finished reading the other thread before it died.

Lunar dust billowed around the pair as they faced off on the slope of a collapsed building, the two undead standing motionless as they watched for any movement from the other. Both armors were damaged with gouges, dents and punctures marking where they had been able to deflect or avoid a blow from the other. Their weapons held new chips and warps, arc-edged sickles and voidbone club gripped in tight grasps.

One clad in dark armor of the Deathshead was wreathed in shimmering Voidlight, their damaged helm allowing them to glare with a burning, empty socket. The others armor of bone and metal a part of their physical form that crackled with Arc energy, the fractured bones that typically shielded her vulnerable eyes blasted away to show the shifting colors of alien patterns that held no effect on the other undead.

Their battle had carried them far from where the osjiic attempted to reach the Void Temple, each throwing the other across the landscape in the low gravity several times. They felt themselves nearly alone, the witnesses of their battle keeping their distance after multiple Reconstructed and Osjiic soldiers had been slain crossing their paths.

Orvca, or rather, the Arc Disciple that had once gone by that name, grinds her teeth as she stares down the Deathshead Guardian. She recalls that once she had looked up to them as a paragon of the Osjiic species and empire, but now she only sees another undead that worked to destroy all that she had come to value in her time among the Armada.

She'd fought hard alongside Rethak and Nekris when the Legion investigated the abandoned base that would become Legions Home, her potential unlocked by the Arc Predators to become one of the very first Arcdancers. Her service during the Refuge Crisis, marked by multiple times she threw herself at packs of ghouls and zombies without thought to her own safety to protect her allies and the survivors of the plague, that caused the Legion Commander to select her to join him and Jor in hunting down the masterminds of the plague. She recalled that nightmarish battle under the surface of a distant moon, fighting alongside the living champions of the Armada but nearly falling to her own wounds that day.

Standing there before the Deathshead Guardian she sees them as just another undead, much like the Immortal who had nearly slain her, Rethak, and a Voidsinger friend, and a fury wells up inside. Bolts of Arc energy crackle off her with renewed strength, the Guardians armor of Voidlight intensifying as well as they gripped their weapons harder.

With a flashing of lights the pair of elemental undead launch forward to clash with a large detonation that sent ripples of force radiating out from them. Dust and chunks of rubble are blown away as they struck at each other, trading and deflecting blows. Their weapons moved at speeds most living beings would be unable to comprehend, let alone defend against. The club of the Deathshead wreathed in Voidflame moved with surprising speed to knock away or deflect the slashes and hooks of the sickles that left afterimages of Arclight.

Both undead pushed themselves to dangerous levels in able to achieve these feats of skill, the resilience and mettle of their respective forms of reanimation pit against each other. Even though the Disciple was of the Arc the experience, skill and pure strength of the Deathshead Guardian proved more than enough to hold their ground against the Reconstructed hero.

With a blast of gravitational force the Deathshead throws their hand out and the Disciple with it. Careening through the air the Reconstructed gives a silent laugh into the silence of space before disappearing into a flash of the Arc. Reappearing on her feet she glances around before Blinking away once again. It was exhilarating, each time she leaps into the Arc and cutting her way back into reality. Lightning crackled and trailed from her blades as she emerged from the Arc and slashes down toward the back of the Deathshead.

It had sensed her approach, the Void infused undead highly attuned to sensing the sickening presence of the Arc, and tried to turn with a swing but the point of one sickle sank into the armor of their shoulder and ripped a rent down the arm holding the club toward the elbow. The other strike misses as the Deathshead uses the weapon lodged into their arm against the Disciple as they yank their arm away and punch out with a fist wreathed in ultraviolet flames. The blow smashes into the armor of her chest and throws her back, the sickle still impaled in their arm.

Gripping her remaining weapon she glares in fury as the Guardian reaches up with their free hand and tears the sickle from their arm. They grasp it and the lingering Arc energies struggle for several moments, flaring several times before they are overwhelmed and doused by the sudden Voidflames that engulf the blade.

With a shout that scrapes across the binds of the Arc its Disciple throws itself forward in a blur of speed and distorted light. The pair resume their fierce duel, leaping across the rubble strewn shipyards to portions mostly untouched by the conflicts except for the occasional crashed ship or wayward ordinance.

The speed at which the Deathshead adapted to wielding the stolen weapon annoyed the other osjiic undead, now forced to contend with their new fighting style. They began attempting to hook and tangle her remaining sickle to leave her vulnerable to the clubs devastating blows but her form flickers and fades from view, her form blurred and proving difficult to pin down. Her blade lashes out, scoring the armor again and again where her blade drinks in the flames of the Void before being forced to rip away to avoid a retaliatory blow.

Their duel danced across the moonscape, throwing and chasing each other in their violent pursuit. Eventually they reach a mostly vacant expanse of lunar stone and dust, the skeleton of an incomplete pylon the only occupant that towers over them. Clouds of kicked up dust mark their path and sites of gravetic detonations, flashes of indigo and ultraviolet trailing their attacks.

Emerging from a Blink the Disciples claws grasp the back of the Deathsheads armor and give a mighty heave before they could tear free. Thrown toward the pylon they smash into a tall supporting wall of bone, spiderwebs of cracks radiating out from the crater. Pushing themself free they barely react in time to knock away the slashing sickle but her free hand darts forward instead to sink Arc infused claws sinking into the faceplate of the Deathsheads helm.

With a mighty kick from the Deathshead the Disciple is thrown back but the helm remains in her grasp, the visored faceplate a shattered mess. She glances at it then tosses it aside as she looks to where the bare skulled undead stood before here. Their mutated skull was warped with spiny growths and exaggerated fang-like teeth, empty sockets burning with a baleful light as Voidflame wreaths their skull, seeming to leak from a source within their armor. Several cracks ran through the bone, along with several gouges she recognizes match her claws from the last strike.

The Deathshead did not take long to recover, dashing forward a split moment later with an explosion of Void energy that propels them on a shockwave of force. The sickle comes slashing toward her, her multiple eyes spotting the club rearing back for a follow up strike, her mind racing with the possibilities.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apAh2GmaHqA

Her free arm lifts up as the sickle swings to intercept the blade sinking into her forearm as the momentum of their charge sends them both flying back. The club swings at her from the other side as she knew it would and her own sickle lifts up, the arc-edged blade biting into the voidbone as she redirects the momentum of the strike up and over her head and shoulders, the angle causing her shoulder to snap and pop from its socket with a splintering of bone. She was glad then, that she was undead as she loses most sensation in the limb, but the sacrifice was not for nothing.

>cont
>>
>>2280224

Thrown off balance by the unexpected move the Arc Disciple twists and turns them through their airless tumble, her impaled arm ripping the sickles handle from their grasp. Her hand darts out to sink Arc glowing claws once more into the armor at the back of their neck just in time for them to complete their fall, the Deathshead forced to cushion her fall as they scrape to a halt in the moondust.

Her arm hung at her side by a few threads of flexible armored fiber and muscle, but she paid no mind to it, instead sinking her claws deeper into the armor of the undead. Her clawed foot kicks out, piercing and pinning the forearm holding the club that struggles in fierce resistance. Gripping their armor she slams their face several times into the moondust but the brute actions seemed only to disorient the undead rather than injure it as it struggles, trying to toss her from its back.

Waves of Voidlight radiate off them in their mounting panic, Arc lightning leaping and crackling off the Disciples arm as they feed the deadly energy through their claws like a fiery venom. An almost animalistic rage rises up in the Disciple as the Arc flows through her, her claws ripping out of the armor only to start tearing and rending at it in her fury. The Deathshead tries to rear back, striking with their unrestrained arm but the Disciple twists, letting it strike the already damaged arm but to her surprise the wrist twists and snatches hold of the arm and gives a yank, tearing it from her shoulder.

Were she to view this as an outsider she'd almost find it comical as the Deathshead tries to bludgeon her with her own torn off limb but in the moment only served to anger her further. Her fist rears back and strikes a blow across the back of the warped skull that cracks under the strike and seems to daze the Deathshead for a moment. That moment was all she needed as she loops her arm around its neck under its chin and pulls back.

Shocked into alertness the Deathshead tries to knock her free once more but she continued to bend them backwards, their armor creaking and straining as vertebrae begin to crack. Their form wreaths itself in Voidflame as they try to burn her off, their desperation causing the ground to begin cratering around them from the sheer gravitational forces they began to expend but the Predator Disciple was not about to let them survive so easily.

Rearing back her head her jaws, appearing similar in make to other Reconstructed osjiic, open and separate into multiple bladed jaws similar to Ruscuv and Nekris then bite down onto the skull of the Deathshead Guardian. Her fangs and teeth pierce the Void-infused bone, the rush of energy intoxicating to the undead as they began to feast upon their flames. Bone crunches under her fangs as she drains the Void energies from the undead in a blind hunger.

>>2280228
The bonfire of Voidflame that had engulfed them both begins to struggle, flicking and weakening until their forms were revealed once more only to be distorted and blindingly bright as Arclight begins to radiate from the Disciple. In these last moments of the Arc Surges dying influence the Disciple feasts upon the wellspring of power that was her now defeated foe.

She could sense a momentary urge to detonate and destroy them both within her prey but she had already taken too much of its power. Its fear she could sense as well, an emotion she could tell was foreign to the undead and in the last moments of its consciousness the relishes the taste of it.

With a final snap of her jaws she bites through the skull of the undead and pulls her head back with a snarl that scrapes across the Arc. The Deathshead falls still as the last of its Voidflames sputter before she drained those last dregs as well. Standing once more she looks down upon her foe that had met the true death, her body heavily damaged and nearly destroyed as well in their duel.

With her remaining hand she reaches down and crumbles the spine of the corpse and lifts the skull in her palm, the torn away portion extending from the socket back across the temple. As a Coffin rapidly descended to recover her and the Deathshead corpse she muses the skull would make a fine trophy for the Arc Temple or as a gift to Lord Jadyk.

Far from where the Arc Disciple slew her foe her cousins the Void Disciples began to draw their duels with the Deathshead pilots to an end. It was a wonder that their ships managed to remain intact enough to continue their battle, seemingly held together by the determination of their pilots and their own Void energies.

As they fought the encircling force of Armada ships continues to slowly draw tighter and tighter around the fleet protecting the Voidship. Moments after the Deathshead Guardians had been defeated or surrendered undergound the ship seemed to be waking into readiness, scans detecting a build-up of the Void within and spotting weaponmounts moving in preparation for attack. Predator Eiton cautions his stealth raiders, ordering them to fall back and regroup and resume their stealth cloaks in preparation for whatever it may be preparing for.

On the surface of the moon Jor meets with Vle'Karak as Cve'jok and Dne'tec lead packs of Arc infused undead to continue the hunt of the remaining osjiic soldiers on the surface. The human watches as a Hearse carrying shackled osjiic soldiers floats off to transport them to protected bunkers underground for processing.

Vle'karak hisses as his eye was trained upon the battles continuing overhead, his radio implant allowing him to speak with the Necromancer, "Even I am cautious when combating a Voidship of the Empire. It is...odd that they do not join the battle yet."

Turning his gaze up as well Jor gives a nod and looks to the blot of darkness in the ever shrinking ring of lights and ships, "A mercy then, although I do not think it will stay idle for long. The Disciples have defeated or subdued their opponents, even Orvca," he says, having just gotten confirmation of her success.

Tongue flitting out despite there being no air to taste the serpent hisses through the connection, "I sensed it through the Arc. She will be a might Predator of the Armada, no doubt. My kin will learn to fear her like they do Nekris and Eiton," he says with a dark chuckle.

"I think most of the battles here have been concluded, only a few stubborn holdouts here and there but your family is helping clear them out," Jor says as his helm displays data before his eyes, funneled through the Deep Rot, "We can probably relocate if you're starting to feel as nervous about standing under these ships as I am." He gives another quick glance toward the ship looming above them.

"Not a poor idea," he replies then pauses, looking across the junction they'd attacked the osjiic beachhead, rubble and wrecks of tanks and mechs scattered around them, "It felt good to taste the blood and flames of the Empire again," he says more to himself as Jor senses him ruminating.

Their attention was drawn then to a formation of Voidlights that race past them dangerously low enough that they could feel the gravitational wake washing off the powerful ships.

Void Terrors spun and danced with the Deathshead strikecraft, their battle reaching a fever pitch as they found themselves racing along the surface of the moon weaving in between the pylons and ruins.

It is time for them to finish this drawn-out duel once and for all

Racing and weaving in between the forest of shipyard pylons the four ships fought their duel to a fevered pitch. Waves of gravitational force washed off them, their weaponry and engines distorting the very fabric of gravity around them. Even for the immortal undead they felt fatigue wearing upon them as they used their own flames to fuel their ships. The ships became extensions of the undead piloting them, no longer seeming to know where they ended and the ship began in their battletrances.

One of the Deathshead banks harshly around a tall pylon, narrowly avoiding an arm used to support the skeletal frames of capital ships, a Disciple in close pursuit. A beam of a Voidflayer leaps out, licking at the tail of their enemy's ship but at the lightest touch the pilot manages to inch their way out of the beam that continues on, slicing a glowing mark through the neighboring pylon. Its remaining auxiliary mount, swivels back and opens fire with bolts of condense Void energy that detonate similar to the Voidflensers of the Armada, forcing the Disciple to veer and break off their chase for a moment.

Racing above the lingering battlefields, Reconstructed swarms turning their gazes as they pass overhead and seeming to inspire the remaining osjiic somewhat at the sight of their Deathshead allies continuing the fight. Several times overly excited Reconstructed take shots against the rapidly moving targets without any real hope of landing a hit before their guiding Think Tanks could chastise them.

The skills between the pilots seemed nearly equal, their battle continuing on much longer than either side could have imagined.

However, it was not one of them that tips the favor of the battle. It was a lone Drake, the sinuous large Reconstructed nor the Deathshead seeming to spot each other as the winged undead was moving between the pylons. Pulverized bone flies off as the ship strikes the Reconstructed and demolishes a portion of its armored form just from the kinetic force but as they both careen off in confusion. Drake coils itself along the hull of the ship and begins tearing at it with teeth that glow orange with heat in contrast to the green flames leaking from its throat, the Reconstructed lashing out in its death throes.

Tearing apart the armor and circuitry the Reconstructed throws the flight of the Deathshead into a chaotic spin as they try to toss them free. The auxiliary Void weapon swivels and opens fire, blasting away a portion of its skull but in it's last moments the Drake vomits forth a spray of corrosive Necrotic energy that corrodes the weapon and surrounding hull. It's energy spent it uncoils and falls limply toward the moon, another casualty among the countless undead.

>cont
>>
>>2280847
The mid-air collision was enough to distract them from covering their partner and separating them as a Void Terror races in, opening fire with its remaining weaponry that strike, nearly for the first time, dead center upon the enemy strikecraft. This blow was devastating as the weakened hull warps then breaks, a secondary detonation signifying the Void reactor within the ship breaching under the strain.

Elation fills the mind of the Void Disciple as they watch their foe go tumbling in a ball of Voidflame that warps the light around it and leaves a streamer of light motes in its path. With a might crash it smashes to the base of a pylon, the impact causing the pylon to sway and bend at a slight angle from the gravetic forces of the collision.

Their celebration was short-lived however as the remaining Deathshead swoops in, having doubled-back upon learning of their allies woes, beams of concentrated Void leaping out to strike the Void Terror. To similar effect the ship is struck with the forceful attack, the hull buckling under the strain before breaking apart. In the moments before they knew their unlife may end the Disciple reaches out and voraciously drains the nearly depleted Void reactor their armor was hooked into and wraps themself in a bubble of Voidlight as their ship collides with an arm of a pylon before crashing in a strip of road that leaves a trench leading to their final landing.

The anger of the remaining Disciple echoes through the Void that seems to sing ever sweeter with each ship destroyed, their flames flaring with intensity that is funneled into their ship. Continuing the chase of the undead that had shot down their partner they open fire without any more concern for collateral damage, beams and bolts of Void marking a path of destruction as they race through the shipyards.

Spiraling the Deathshead takes off suddenly, racing directly away from the moon toward the combatant fleets above with the Disciple in close pursuit. The ship flips around, allowing momentum to carrying them in their trajectory as they open fire against the oncoming Void Terror who retaliate in kind.

They spun and dodged the exchange of attacks, glancing blows of the Void energy nearly as dangerous as full on strikes. Segments of hull and components warp and shift from the forces that tear on the molecular level. Nearly simultaneously they strike each other with their powerful beams and their ships suffer for it and with a flash of Voidlight their ships careen away from each other, both engulfed in ultraviolet fire as the strikecraft fail under that last final strain.

Both plummet to the moons surface, the Disciple frantically working to regain control of their heavily damaged ship.

No matter how much they pounded their fist against the console before them or fueled Void energy into the broken engines the Disciple could not get the ship to respond to their commands. As they trailed motes of distorted light and smoke toward the surface of the moon their rage echoes across the Void, mirroring those of the Deathshead plummeting not far from them. The low gravity of the moon provided precious seconds for the undead who's mind races for a solution.

As the ground races ever closer with pylons rising beneath like a pale forest the Disciple gives one last shout and blast of Void energy. Their destroyed Void Terror bursts from around them, the Disciple throwing themself free of the wreckage with a ripple of Voidlight but even at their full unsapped strength they knew they wouldn't have the strength to halt their fall.

Instead as they watch the ground approach they wreath themselves in Voidlight and attempt to propel themselves forward rather than straight down. It seems to work, the Void Disciple racing at an angle that causes the ground to race past beneath them as if they wore a glider suit but still the angle was dangerous.

With a silent prayer to the Black Flame, the Wormstar, and yourself you hear their thoughts offer up an
final apology to Jareth moments before they collide with a pylons arm and go careening off head over heels to smash into the lunar surface and crater themself.

Voidknight Jareth, who had been attentively following the conflict quickly dispatches Coffins to retrieve what he hoped to be the surviving Disciple as he feels their presence weakening in the Void.

Already the first of the Disciples to go down was being pulled from the wreckage of their Void Terror, both of their legs and most of an arm left behind with their ship but their core, their Voidflame, burned bright and true still. When they had been pulled free their first question was to ask if they had won, only to let out a laugh of relief at the news of their hard-fought victory that had nearly cost them their unlife.

By the time the rescue crew had located the fallen Disciple their flame was weak and sputtering, their body a broken shamble but they were carefully lifted by the gentle telekinetic grasp of a Dirge and placed directly into a vat filled with Cauldron biomass. The Coffin lifts off immediately, racing through the shipyards to the nearest proper Cauldron attuned to the Void where they could attempt to recover.

>cont
>>
>>2280977
Similarly Coffins swarmed down to where the Deathshead had crashed, Arc and Void infused undead rushing out to contain them should they still be standing. The first to be shot down tried to fight back but with most of their body crushed they were quickly subdued with Domination Shackles. The other one, second to crash, was nearly indistinguishable from the wreckage of their ship, bones and metal warped into a grotesque display where they had perished in the crash.

Despite their injuries the pair of Disciples seemed like they would recover, strong as before or even stronger should the Voidknights and Jadyk decide they should ascend to full Knighthood. The one still conscious looks out the port of the Coffin carrying them and looks to the Voidship above, wondering what it would do now that the Deathshead had been defeated.

As the last of the Disciples and Deathshead fell to the lunar surface your chrysalis begins to tremble with the increasingly rapid pulses of energy that saturate the chamber. You could feel your form nearing stability as you Reconstruct yourself over and over, each time learning how better to weave the strands of the Arc with your bones and soul alongside those of the other elements you already possessed. The process of Reconstruction was familiar to you, an instinctive series of rituals you managed to remember the basics of even through your long imprisonment. It was a fundamental part of who you are and even now it came down to your talent and ripping apart matter and reshaping it to your will, shaping a vessel for your newfound energies.

Alarms went off through the tunnels surrounding the isolated chamber, the Specter Reconstructed momentarily driven into a flurry as they pass through solid matter until a calming thought settles their unease. The alerts had come from movement detected in the tunnels rapidly approaching the chamber, the sensors confused by the masses of necrotically charged liquid biomass and metal extracts flowed like sentient rivers. They seep through cracks and down the passages, flowing ever in from all directions toward the chrysalis chamber.

Leaking in through the corners and through the fractured walls distended by your telekinetic might the biomass and metal flowed into the chrysalis that absorbs it like some ravenous sponge. Taken from nearby stores for Cauldrons the much needed mass is absorbed and consumed as you finalize your transformation.

Excitement wells up in the Deep Rot who calls out to Necromancer Jor and alerting him as the shell of the chrysalis begins to fracture and twitch.

With the last of the Cauldron fuel drained into the chrysalis there is a few moments of violent trembling before the shell seems to spontaneously implode. The mass of metal, bone and flesh taken from the Matriarchs corpse reshapes itself rapidly as it condenses, melting and reshaping your form in a process of unassisted Reconstruction.

>cont
>>

Finally reawakened you float in the center of the chamber, holding yourself aloft as you look down upon your new form. Arc lightning crackles off the dark indigo of the chitin armor, your fingers ending in vicious talons you knew could slice through all but the most dense of armors. Your skull still resembles a humans but distinctly not, your jaws extended and fanged, empty sockets shining with motes of green Necrotic energy despite the Arc sparking off your form. A tail lashes behind you, bladed much like an Ahkams and crackling with barely restrained power. Blades slide forth from your forearms, the edges humming with the Arcs pulses.

This was a form built to manifest and harness the Arc and for a moment you are confused. You can fully feel the Arc, the web that spans all of reality, linking everything and everyone on a primordial level but as you peer inwards the flames of the Solar and Void burn just as bright against the eternal backdrop of that was your radiant Necrotic might.

New Jadyk (Abomination) Ability unlocked:
>Active Reconstruction - As the originator of the Reconstruction rituals and his continued research throughout the millennia no other being knows the intricacies of this process better than Jadyk. By possessing and becoming an Abomination of the four energies and learning how to apply them to these rituals instinctively to mesh with the Necrotic basis, Jadyk can now actively Reconstruct his form (or a single nearby Reconstructed) as he wishes according to known unlocked adaptations. While the change is not instant, taking longer the more complex the changes Jadyk must also use his current biomass or resources located nearby. Refined sources like Cauldron biomass and metal extracts allow for a quicker completed ritual compared others such as fresh corpses and scrap metal. This ability allows Jadyk to prepare himself for conflict as the situation demands on short notice or in the field while also allowing for customization or repair of Reconstructed forces without access to a Cauldron.

I hope that for diplomacy with the Confederacy, we may for a time resume our classic spooky skele form. I know this new form is friggen awesome, but you cant beat the classics. Plus, just imagine Jadyk talking to some uppity admiral, he has enough, a random talon, specially made, not for combat, but as mobile cauldron matter(we should get to work on designing that guys) runs up to us and in the span of 3 seconds, the skeleton and talon are gone and and abomination takes its place.

The thing is though, with the Active Reconstruction Jadyk can change his form however he likes.

His current form is partially influenced by the fact he used Arc infused biomass and metals from the Matriarch so his newest form relates to that. This is a combat form atm

Stretching out your new hand familiar strands of evershifting black metal slither out from within, the infinite fractal edges crackling with pulsing energies as it reforms into your familiar Kyn'tk, taking its default spear form as you grip it. It's metals hum with excitement, the energy attuning and enhancing creation of near sentient metal happy to be free and seemingly hungry for battle if your eons with it by your side were any guide. Arc lightning crackles along its form, appearing as if you had captured lightning itself in your grasp.

As the Deep Rot contacts you the charge of energy lessens slightly as you turn your attention to the constructed mind, their thoughts shining with barely hidden excitement of their own as they begin "speaking" to you.

<Lord Jadyk! It is more fortuituous to see you reformed and whole if changed. I am unsure how much you know but the situation is escalating and the battlefield requires your attention.>

Data is funneled directly into your mind even as your cast thoughts out to see the scope the conflict. As you drank it all in another mind is routed to yours, the thoughts of Necromancer Jor speaking to you, <I'm glad to see you back, Lord Jadyk. Your timing could not be better. I believe the Voidship of 13 Ascendant Blade is preparing to bombard our shipyards and the Temples. The Disciples have all either slain or subdued their Deathshead foes and Jareth warns the Empire will take this news harshly.>

Your mind drifts to a Gargoyle perched on a factory wall and looks down to where Jor sped by riding passenger in a Chariot as Vle'Karak followed, <You have done well, Jor. As I expected of my Ambassador you are my herald in War as well as Peace. But now, I believe I must show these interlopers the foolishness of their actions.>

Currently there are two main forces attacking your system. There is the fleet with the Voidship still in orbit over the shipyards of the Moon with Eiton leading the Armada fleets present. Armada forces have encircled this fleet and have inflicted heavy casualties but the Voidship remains nearly untouched and appears to be arming itself for battle.

The fleet approaching Horizon's Drop is involved with a drawn out battle against the picket fleet and reinforcements led by Muic and the Cacti Warleader. There is also currently multiple flights of strikecraft and sub-capitals within the atmosphere attempting to attack and raze Armada structures while also targeting wild osogo herds although ground forces and anti-air are quickly wiping out the remnants.

There is much to slay and rend. Where shall you go first and what shall you do?

Your hand stretches out, reaching for something unseen as Arclight begins to shine and radiate off your form. The Arc unites and binds reality, a fundamental rule of the metaphysical planes you were just now becoming privy to. All around you you could sense these invisible strands of normally unfelt energy.

After you time manifesting the Void and Solar in addition to your Necrotic nature you had begun to see how they too fit into the cosmic puzzle, each an integral part of the greater creation. The rules had seemed strange and foreign, as if a crucial piece was missing from your knowledge, an unseen law that eluded you.

Yet here, now, in the last dying gasps of the Arc Surge with the newfound energy weaved into your very being, it all finally made perfect sense.

Your hand clenches into a fist around something unseen and with a flash you disappear into the Arc.

Alarm raises in the Deep Rots constructed mind until moments later deep in the Arc Temple within the moon there is a sudden spike of activity within the Arc Fount that served as an altar to the elemental force. With a flash of lightning your body reforms itself, the long range Blink draining a decent amount of energy but bathing in the energizing force of the Fount for even a few moments you feel that power quickly returning. You expect that such feats will not be capable once the Surge truly dies but for now you silently offer thanks to the Arc for its blessing and acceptance.

With newfound tail lashing and Kyn'tk sparking with excitement you rapidly make your way from the Temple to the surface, a pack of Arc-infused Reconstructed freshly created from the Temples Cauldrons following in your wake.

You pause for a moment upon reaching the surface, to turn your burning gaze toward the stars above and drink in the sight. For that moment you ponder if you would ever tire of seeing the cosmos arrayed before you, a sea of endless possibility. But for now, you have other matters to tend to rather than soaking in the sights.

With a flash of light you disappear and kilometers away you reappear only to continue the process several times, blinking across the landscape toward where the Voidship and fleet were embroiled in combat.

The Voidship, as Jareth had predicted, hadn't laid dormant for much longer after the defeat of the Deathshead as their powerful weapons opened fire. Beams of concentrated Void energy very similar to the Flayers of your own ships leap out, slicing through the shields and crumpling the hulls of several sub-capitals in only a matter of moments. Other weapons on the ship fire bolts of condensed Void energy are fired but unlike your own they seem to have a manner of tracking as the bolts curve and change their directories in their targeting of the surrounding ships.

>cont
>>
>>2284368
After the large battleship had already severely damaged an Obsidianborn battlecruiser and injured one of their rare battleships the stone-hulled ships are forced to retreat from the devastating attacks to take up long range bombardments. It almost came as a shock to their crews, Obsidianborn and Stonestar used to the effectiveness of their ships against the Ahkam, were not expecting the strength of the Void weapons.

Seemingly emboldened by the final entrance of the Voidship upon the battlefield the surviving osjiic fleet, over a third now destroyed or damaged beyond combat, push back with renewed effort. As they opened fire and drove back the nearest capitals and sub-capitals the Deep Rot could detect their inner power reserves seeming to gain a boost or recharge from the proximity of the Voidship itself. The weaponry of the closest ships struck with a fierceness and strength they had lacked only minutes prior as the Armada forces are driven back.

With a flash of Arclight you appear within that same intersection that Jor, the Arc Disciple and Ahkam had slaughtered the beachhead of would be Temple defilers. Rising to your feet fully you turn your gaze up toward the black Voidship above you, Kyn'tk quivering in your grasp.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7NPHJoLNb4

All around you the lingering Reconstructed turn to face you in surprise and shock before they instinctively begin to kneel and bow their heads toward you in silent reverence. You paid them little mind, beyond a quick psionic message of approval for their deeds that serves to further their excitement, as you hold Kyn'tk out beside you.

Once more lightning crackles along the fractal edges of the eldritch weapon condensing the ambient Arc energies and those of your own power as you rear your arm back, the bolts arcing off the weapon and your form to strike the ground around you. With a mighty heave of your arm the spear is cast forth, splitting the darkness almost like that of an anti-orbital Lance.

A light cruiser above you is struck and as the weapon pierces through the ship you reach out and grasp the streamer of Arc bonds that trailed off Kyn'tk and your body disappears into the Arc. As Kyn'tk punctures through to the other side of the ship you reappear with a flash, hand gripping the spear tight. With a silent shout into the void of space your other hand, crackling with Arc energy, is plunged into the armored hull and moments later a sizable explosion marks the energies sabotaging its Void reactor, several others marking the start of a chain reaction.

>cont
>>
>>2284373
By the time the ship began to careen as explosions rocked it you had already thrown the spear once more to pierce the side of a frigate and follow its wake of destructive force. Arc lightning leapt off your form as you bounce between the ships of the osjiic fleet, sometimes pausing long enough to attack and sabotage their reactors or just passing by after rending large tears in their hulls or damaging their weapons and shields for follow up attacks by your forces.

It was like a storm come alive in your newfound power, the Arc obeying your commands for now as you ravenously feed upon the Void reactors of the unfortunate osjiic. Kyn'tk drank deep of the Void, the weapon similarly enjoying the carnage on a scale they hadn't been a part of since the old Necrotic Wars, its mind urging you on and for the time being you indulge it.

Your arrival had not gone unnoticed as the Voidship turns its weapons upon you, several powerful Void beams striking at the battlecruiser you were currently tearing a turret from. Blinking several hundred meters away you watch as the ship is nearly sheared in half by the friendly fire but you had no time to admire it as you spot numerous Void bolts rapidly tracking you down. It was a simple matter to avoid them with another Blink, reappearing then sending yourself flying toward the Voidship itself.

Its shield glowed bright with the deflected or absorbed attacks that leak past its defensive screen of ships. You halt right before it, the matrix of refracted energy looming like a glowing field before you. Kyn'tk reshapes itself, splitting and coiling around your arms, reforming along the edges of the blades that slide free from your forearms. Glowing with Arclight you plunge both blades into the shield that sparks and screams in protest. Parts of your form begin to flake and char from the energy tossed off the shield as you strain against it.

With a final twitch you slice through the shield with the blades, a tear ripped open but only for a moment as the overlapping layers attempt to repair but it was enough as you blink within the boundaries of the shield and reappear on the jagged, dark hull. You could feel the immense Void energies within, the radiating energies rising from the hull beneath your taloned feet invigorating the Arc within you, and for a moment you wonder just how many Voidsingers and Void corrupted osjiic and slaves were sacrificed to fuel this monstrosity.

For a few moments as you stand upon the ships hull you get a sense of deja vu, recognizing its designs as evocative of the ships of your old ally Voidlord Ghul rather than the utilitarian and brutalist sensibilities of the Osjiic.

>cont
>>
>>2284376
A turret swivels, a powerful beam of the Void energy lancing toward you but Kyn'tk reforms in a blink of an eye into a shield that barely deflects the blast at a partial angle. The force was still great enough that fractures spiderwebbed through the armor and bones of your arm but as the beam cut out your active Reconstruction quickly patches and reknits bone and chitin. The offending turret then detonates in a fireball of shrapnel and Voidlight as Kyn'tk, once more a spear, is thrown into the weapon before blinking back into your grasp.

Distracted by your one-Lich attackforce the Osjiic fleet proved vulnerable to the sneak attacks unleashed by Eiton and his Arc powered stealthcraft. Leaping out from seeming nothingness they strike like mobile storms of their own, bolts of Arc lightning leaping out to severely damage the fleet you had helped throw into confusion that now falls into complete disarray. Guided by the Predator General they carve bloody swathes through the remaining fleet, their Arc weaponry feeding in turn on the enhanced ambient Void energies the Voidship cast off around it.

At the commands of the Solar Disciple and Voidknight Jareth the remaining Armada fleets push forth once more, quickly moving into take advantage of the mounting chaos to unleash their armaments against the enemy fleet.

You ran along the hull, momentarily musing that it had been quite sometime since you deigned to utilize your own legs for movement, lashing out at any weaponmount or shield projector you passed with Arc crackling blade, Kyn'tk or snapping tail. It was almost...fun as you ran this way and that, avoiding the surprisingly nimble turrets and auxiliary weapons that fire at you, your weaponry slicing through the densely armored hull and ripping at exposed components.

There was a pulse then, a ripple through the Void that you feel resonate within your bones and a voice you recognize speaking into it, <Our Oracles spoke of this day, of a near-Perfected Abomination arriving in the last moments of the Arc Surge to punish us for our hubris. Perhaps now our Emperor will listen to the Void when it speaks to him>

The ship shifts beneath you and you can feel its engines charging up as Voidlight begins to condense around the vast ship, your anger flaring as you recognize it attempting to escape, the Deep Rot informing you a moment later than multiple ships within the fleet were also preparing their escape.

<Our battle is not yet, Lord Jadyk. My destiny is tied with the Voidknights just as yours is twisted with our Emperors and the Queen of Wraiths. It would be a shame if we were go against fate, would it not? Tell your Voidknight Lorgul that I await our destined battle. Until then, a gift.>

>cont
>>
>>2284377
You are alerted from Reconstructed on the ground and nearby ships that the Voidship had launched four new drop pods seemingly at random toward the moon but each one held a rapidly growing signal of Void energy reaching dangerous levels. By the time they struck the surface with detonation of Voidlight the Deep Rot had already analyzed them but gains further confirmation as they split open on the surface.

From within each shattered drop pod a single figure of an Osjiic skeleton staggered forward. They wore no armor and held no flesh but they were wreathed in torrents of Voidflame that roiled off them as if they were unrestrained reactors given form. Their screams of agony echo across the Void, discordant and grating as they lash out, blasts and waves of destructive forces obliterating the rubble and attacking Reconstructed around them.

Perched on the hull of the Voidship you feel it preparing to make its exit with its last weapons unleashed, the Deep Rot frantically calling for aid as the weaponized Voidskeletons seem ready to detonate with forces the constructed mind predict to be nearly as powerful a Void-Nova warhead.

What shall you do?

Currently there are four animated osjiic skeletons that have been overloaded with Void energy and appear to be nearing a critical event where they may detonate with the force of a Void-Nova bomb.

How would you like to handle this situation?
>Write-in
>>
>>2293747
leech them while attacking them until they re-expire
>>
>>2293747
Split our Void and Arc units to attempt to drain and redirect the void energy, at least until it gets to a reasonable level. Have Jadyk to the same. If we can get one intact, good, but if we can neutralize them by just draining enough that the resulting explosion will not cause significant damage, that that will be enough. If we cannot sufficiently reduce the likely explosion, then have Jadyk fling them into space. This isnt as preferable as an intact specimen, but if this is the only solution left, then go for it.
>>
>>2293747
Is there enough people/RC with telekinetic power nearby to hold them in place?
>>
>>2293747
Draining them/keeping them from population centers should be priority. Capturing them is a secondary objective. I wonder if these are made from those who fail to become proper Deathsheads and go insane.
>>
>>2293767
the moon does have a large presence of Dirge and Requiem Reconstructed since their telekinesis is very helpful in ship-building. It would make sense that at the start of the attack they would have switched their Glutton spheres draining affinity to Void.

I mean, technically yes. The Voidship is preparing to escape into FTL though so it'd have to be pretty quick
>>
>>2293800
Could we have our surrounding ships quickly move out of the creatures trajectory as we fling them? If Jadyk focused on flinging one of them while our glutton spheres and assorted forces attempted to drain/ divert the remaining three and toss 'em if we dont have enough time. Either way we lose nothing and if it works, we cripple an enemy capitol ship.

Did you wish for Jadyk to attempt this alone with Reconstructed support or do you wish for backup?

Necromancer Jor is getting tired but can still fight while the Ahkam serpent trio have injuries but say they can fight as well.

Predator Eiton is uninjured and could attempt to join Jadyk upon the moon to assist
>>

Predator Eiton should join us, the others should hold.

>>2293859
Reconstructed and Eiton
>>
>>2293859
We should deal with one personally then go back to help as much as we can. Eiton could potentially be able to solo one of them. The Akham can attempt another one, with some Glutton sphere help. The last one will probably be to late, so the dirges should toss it. The Akham and Eiton should be ready to Blink out of there if its too late.

Flying screaming void skeletons
>>
>>2293906
With teeth clenched in anger you stand on the Voidships hull, turning your burning gaze toward where you could feel the heart of the battleship thrumming and singing into the Void. Arc lightning crackles along the length of Kyn'tk before you give a snarl and cast it forth, the semi-sentient weapon twisting and curving downward in a flash of a moment and with a spark of energy you disappear.

Waves of Void energy roils and pulses off the form of one of the skeletal osjiic, their very flesh and blood burned away by the fires of the Void until all that remained was bone. They had staggered along one of the thoroughfares, their steps uncertain and shaky as if unused to movement. Rubble and debris was thrown away from them, a bonfire of ultraviolet fire easily marking them. Nothing seemed to phase them as Reconstructed instinctively tried to attack when they had first landed but the gravitational forces and searing Void proved a powerful deterrent.

They only stop and stare as a bolt of lightning strikes nearby outside the range of its current emissions and you stand upright in the crater, electricity crackling along your indigo chitin and Kyn'tk. With a step forward you prepare to drain the undead but hesitate as it seems to recoil, arms thrown up over its face defensively. You look at it curiously and take another step and with a shout of fear and pain that rings out into the Void the osjiic skeleton throws both hands forth toward you and unleashes a blast of the ultraviolet flames that scream toward you.

Cursing yourself for foolishly hesitating Kyn'tk moves faster than most species could track, the spear almost seeming to blossom as you thrust it forth as the energy strikes and washes over you. Momentarily engulfed in the searing flames you can feel the chitin of your new armor charring but as the Voidskeleton kept its hands cast forward to funnel its flames it jerks back in surprise as an oversized hand formed from the twisted tines of fractal metal and crackling with Arc energy stretches out of the torrent of flame.

As the claw snatches hold of the skeletal osjiic the blast is disrupted as they grasp and try to tear at the metal fruitlessly your form is revealed, Kyn'tk stretching out from your forearm and mimicking the motions of your hand. You glance upward to where you can see distorted light beginning to wrap around the Voidship in preparation for its escape and with a split moments decision you twist around and with all of your physical and telekinetic might send the Voidskeleton flinging upwards at a blinding speed.

The thrown undead leaves a streamer of distorted motes of light and ultraviolet flame like a missile taking off from the surface. Even with your great strength the body takes some time to reach the ship and by the time it smashes into its shields the Voidship was nearly completely engulfed in Voidlight. There was a moments delay before you can hear the final scream through the Void as the undead detonates and you see a vast eruption of Voidflame blossom from where you had thrown it. The explosion races out, tossing and heavily damaging several nearby capital ships while several sub-capitals are broken and warped by the powerful gravitational forces.

You could only hope that the unorthodox attack had done some damage to the Voidship but you did not have time to inspect it. With the last of the Void explosion fading and roiling as Armada ships back away from it the Voidship and a majority of the ships that had been preparing for an emergency evac that weren't damaged in the Void explosion wrap themselves in distorted light and gravity and leave with a blinding flash of light.

There were still damaged ships left in orbit and those that could still fight, but without the centerpiece of their fleet they would not last long as the Armada forces push forward with renewed intensity to quickly call this battle to an end.

Elsewhere on the moon the other three Voidskeletons had been confronted by a combination force of Void and Arc infused undead supported by groups of Requiems with their Dirge accompaniment. The telekinetic, motionless undead drifted at the back of the groups, their red crystal glinting in the lights of battle as their cores glow with each ounce of drained energy. It frustrates the Think Tanks overseeing the attempts as the osjiic undead unleash powers that, while wild and uncontrolled, were significantly stronger than all but the Reconstructed Generals.

Void Centurions and Arc Reconstructed try their best to near them but the waves of destructive force and gravity proved too much for them as the undead seem to grow more panicked and frantic in their defense. From behind their lines several Dirges feel their Glutton forces nearly crack and pop with the consumed energy, forced to fall back and allow the larger Requiems to consume the majority. Their telekinetic grasp does manage to hold or trap them where they stood as the Reconstructed surround them.

As one of the Voidskeletons begins to scream out into the Void, its very bones seeming to glow with the expended energies several Dirges are shattered from the gravitational force and drained energy and sending nearby Reconstructed flying back. The Think Tanks focused on it detect the sudden increase of output, predicting the undead was drawing close to detonation but the sudden arrival of a Nail strikecraft divebombing toward it drew a moment of confusion.

>>2294231
The strikecraft banks suddenly, curving away from the Void undead at vast speeds but not before deploying its payload. Like a bolt of indigo lightning the Arc strikes down upon the skeleton and drive it to the lunar surface as waves of Void and Arc energy burst out from the impact. The bonfire of ultraviolet flames surges with intensity for a few tense moments as it seems ready to detonate but bolts of lightning leap out, arcing to strike nearby rubble or destroyed Reconstructed.

After a few moments the Arc light intensifies as the Voidflames fade until the hunched form of Eiton is revealed, crouched over the now still form of the osjiic undead with his arm blades pierced through the ribcage. Lightning arcs off his form as he ravenously drains the last of the weaponized undeads power and finally he stands upright. His single crimson eye stares down at the undead as the bones begin to crumble to dust, no longer held together or animated by the Void. He only stays for a few moments before he looks up and disappears into another flash of Arclight.

Elsewhere in a nearby sector of the shipyards one of the Voidskeletons staggers over a fallen pylon, their Void emissions siphoned by the Gluttonous Reconstructed that floated after it, clawing with unseen hands in their telekinetic attempts to halt its movements. Twisting around it lets out a scream into the Void and flings a six-fingered hand toward them and a wave of gravitational force and ultraviolet flames knock them back.

It seems to stumble then on a piece of loose rubble and slips, falling back and rolling down the short incline. Slowly it tries to push itself up only for a flash of Arclight to slam it down into the ground once more. Face down it finds itself trapped as both arms are pinned down by the spears thrust through their palms. Gripping both Eiton stares down at them for a moment, his Arc reserves doing their best to neutralize the emissions of the other undead while allowing the other Requiems and Dirges to regroup and surround them.

He knew that you, the Deep Rot, and likely the Voidknights, would wish to have one of these intact to study and he does his best to contain the vast energies it gave off. As more and more of the Voidflames are emitted his form glows with Arclight, his boosted reserves from the last undead helping him keep the undead from going critical until finally it collapses beneath him. Laying motionless beneath its bones were wreathed in the shifting Voidlight, the flames diminished and extinguished around them by the Glutton crystals siphons.

However, you were having less luck than your General, the Voidskeleton you had gone to corner and dispatch screaming out through the Void as it flings blasts and waves of the energy toward you and any Reconstructed that tried to draw close. You had managed to herd it away from a sensitive area where several reserves of Void bonedust were waiting for installation in ship reactors but now it seemed to grow keen to your intents.

Now it stood its ground, this undead seemingly more in control of its facilities as you dashed around it a blur of indigo light. Arc lightning leaps from Kyn'tk or you hand, lashing out and striking the skeletal osjiic but each time it retaliates with a shout that you felt rather than heard.

You almost missed it, wrapping yourself in the threads of the Arc, but you hear something through the Void as it grows more frustrated. It almost gives you pause as you listen intently then, and finally you hear it. Through its screams of pain and fear into the Void you could hear words, mindlessly begging in both the osjiic language and that of the Black Flame for relief.

<Why? Why am I this?! I served...I was faithful to the Empire! My flames served! I am forsaken, betrayed...End me, silence this pain! Only pain and noise, where is the song? Why can't I hear the SONG? Why am I forsaken? I served, I was faithful, I believed in the Empire, I worshiped the Void, why am I forsaken!? WHY TELL ME WHY, OH GHUL!>

Their pain, now that you could hear it, nearly overwhelms you as you catch a brief glimpse of their former life. They had been a Voidsinger, powerful and proud. Their life was one of service and unquestioning loyalty with only the aspiration to become a Deathshead and earn their name. You do not see what doomed them to this fate but that moment of contact was enough.

No longer toying with the undead you throw a bolt of lightning with Kyn'tk at its core and strike it. You blink to your weapon as it pierces through the ribcage and winds itself like roots and vines around the bones. The Voidskeleton falters and nearly falls to its knees but you hold it upright, drawing its skull close to yours as you look into its empty sockets with your own.

An emotion you hardly recognize wells up within you as you feed upon the energies cast forth from the undead, its six-fingered hands clutching at your arm. It takes a long moment as you look into the empty eyes of this undead to recognize it as pity.

You speak then, into the Void and it jerks then falls still, <Be still, silence shall take you soon. You will join the Void and live in its song for eternity.>

Somehow it feels as if your words reach it, its motions falling still and bowing its head before you. As you place your other hand upon its skull you hear it speak, its words calm and suddenly clear, <Thank you...I can hear it again, the Song...>

There is a blinding flash of Void and Arc colored light and when it fades you are left standing alone in the blasted crater, a skeletal form of an osjiic crumbling to a pile of dust before you.

>Crisis averted!

You did not have long to ruminate on the undead you had just brought to peace, its power consumed and strengthening yourself, when the Deep Rot calls out to you and alerts you to the appearance of a large gravity well forming over Horizon's Drop and Iti'a'Ropku in particular.

Preparing for the bad news of another osjiic fleet your suspicions are nearly confirmed as there is a vast flash of Voidlight over your world but a moment later the Deep Rots tension turns to relief. Spilling forth from the Void was a large fleet of ships with hulls made of bone and metal. They race ahead, quickly moving to join the defenses against the lingering invasion fleet clashing against Muic and Warleader Caecet. Several hangar ships descend toward the planet away from the fleet, their hulls glowing with reentry and unleashing clouds of Nails and other strikecraft to mop up the remaining osjiic invaders still within the planets atmosphere.

From the Mirrorsoul Battleship at its heart you are funneled a message, the image of a Voidknight Disciple standing proud on the bridge reaching your minds-eye. They bow their head when they feel your gaze upon them, helm held beneath their arm, "Lord Jadyk, I hope I am not too late. Voidknight Lorgul has sent me with this fleet from both B'Nan and the Drakon system to defend our home. May the Wormstar guide us."

As they turn their attention back to the task at hand you look over some of the data that the Deep Rot funnels you. Due to the arrival of the fleets led by the Disciple and Punisher Muic the forces within the system dwarf those of the Osjiic invaders and it is not long before the attacking fleet begins attempting to retreat when they detect the arrival of the new fleet.

Standing there in the blasted crater you turn your gaze upward toward the stars once more, ignoring the flashes of light and flame marking the lingering battles. You look into the cosmos, and for the first time in your memory, you feel as if you can see it for what it truly is.

You do not spend much time ruminating on the nature of reality, your mind returning to your body as you turned your gaze from the fabric of creation to the state of your Armada.

>The Osjiic Invasion has broken!

>With the arrival of overwhelming reinforcements and the desertion of the Voidship and its fleet the remaining Imperial forces have begun making their withdrawl from the system after suffering heavy losses.
>Horizon's Drop was spared much of the damage, the strikecraft within its atmosphere due to be hunted down by the next dawn
>Its moon however has sustained damage, multiple shipyards reduced to rubble where the Empire had focused their assault
>During this conflict the Ahkam trio, led by Vle'Karak, joined Necromancer Jor to prove their newfound loyalty to the Armada and yourself
>The Void Temple was nearly breached and defiled, but despite the seeming interference of the Masked, the Voidknight Disciples managed to secure victory

Fucking Osjiic man, their empire is really a bag full of dicks; I hope we can help those poor skellies.

Also they are fortunate Ghul is dead; because I'm preeeeeetty sure he would fucking pissed about that.

You only miss-spelt the one who's the biggest bitch.

And if i remember form the Ask page, had we played either of them Jadyk would have been the main betrayer instead of Akkator... and we would have been absolutely fucked because Jadyk is best boy
>>
>>2295432
So I don't really know much about the quest, but it seems to me reading through that past few threads that Grave is definitely hinting that this Deathshead Ascendant 13 is this guy named Ghul. How do you know Ghul is dead?
>>
>>2296121

My dude, read the quest from the start!

Ghul is an ancient undead of an unknown race. He attempted to exterminate the Osjic thousands of years ago when slutface Akkator betrayed us all and somehow diminished his power.

The Osjic now use the power of Ghul to create their Voidsingers and the like. 13th Ascendant is an Osjic, he uses the power of Ghul.

I suppose we don't know explicitly that Ghul is dead, he could well be captured and being used as a generator essentially for the Osjic. But he is not Osjic.

And seriously, read the quest from the start, it's fucking epic
>>
>>2296121
Also 13 Ascendant Blade isnt special, just the first Deathshead to lead a fleet that has come into conflict with us, and considering how our Empire is growing in the galactic boonies, away from war-zones that have existed for a while, or key worlds for the factions, we will probably have to fight even stronger guys.
And then there is the Emperor, the one who currently leads a militaristic, internally competitive Empire and apparently awesome enough to be the first Emperor in a while to tame and Alpha of a special beast from their home planet. S, yeah, Mr.13 is a speed-bump.
>>
>>2296121
Ghul is dead, but then again, he was undead long before he died trying to uplift the primitive Osjiic

Ascendant Blade 13 is a power deaths head, I am assuming by the number he is the 13th iteration of this name.

Ghul was the hand of the God of The black flame, it would make sense that with his masters destruction and his demise, his spirit would linger to whisper to all who have the potential, and haunt those who usurped its power.
>>
>>2296273
>Exterminate the Osjiic
The more we learn about them, the more I can get behind that.
>>
>>2297892
I Feel pity for its citizens but we are going to have to absolutely crush it's leaders
