>How will't thou corrupteth ye olde fantasy setting?

It's been about two months since your summoning to the mortal realm, but you've been busy all the while. Your fiendish schemes aren't going to carry themselves out, after all! Already you've gathered a little forsaken flock of servants about you, and established your own little profane stronghold in a country estate. Even back in the Hellscape, your infernal minions have maintained a stout fort against your enemies... though it could always be better, against your enemies. Whispers, rumblings of other infernal denizens looking upon your actions here in the mortal realm with envy, anger, or even fear. You wouldn't sit idly by in their situation, so why should you expect them to?

Particularly when, you've got an army of imps to keep track of now, and something of a strange "family" of mortals to mind and appease. Nobody said it was going to be easy to build power, and carve yourself out a chunk here in the mortal realm, though. You're up to the challenge, right?

>>2274034

As of the present, although you cannot say everything is where you want it to be, you're doing fairly well for yourself. With all your mortal slaves... "friends" in the know about your true nature, you no longer need to disguise yourself anymore unless you travel from home. Most everyone is busy with what they or you have set them upon, though the trend appears to be a growing number of worker slaves whom bring in a living to support the close circle of mortals you consider "close" so that they might spend more time at your beck and call to do as you please. All the better to free up your time to focus on demonic pursuits, no?

Speaking of home, by now the estate is looking quite fancy. All the repairs and renovations have been completed thanks to your army of imp laborers, and only the immediate grounds within the walls could use improvement, though of course that's limited by the rate which the newly seeded and rooted plants can grow. The only thing perhaps left to be desired, were some ideas of possible expansion to the home or construction of perhaps a guest house, something akin to that. Ah, but if you wish it done, then it can be with your growing flock of devotees!

Now, if you can just get all your schemes in order...

>How do you proceed?

My good friend, this is about a month later, give or take! By now, having made a concerted effort to try and mend the rift in the relationship, you and Merryl are on good terms again. Maybe not the close bond you had before, but you suppose it's nothing time can't fix.

On this very day in particular, Merryl is up in the morning to whip up a sizeable breakfast, along with Natalie whom has proven a capable cook. Together they should be able to feed most everyone before those whom depart for work do so, and the rest set about their daily routines.
>>
>>2274064
By Natalie do you mean Maid?

A month later? Check in on our bandit, how's he doing?
>>
>>2274064
Natalie's the maid right? Did she heed our advice?
Any new recruits from the bandit?

Yes, that is the maid's name, unless you actually are changing her name to "Maid" and aren't interested in easing her out of the maid role.

In any case you've an interest to check up on the forest bandit but first, before you depart, communication with the Hellscape seems in order. So while everyone else is enjoying breakfast, you steal away to the secret room beneath the study in order to make contact via the flames. A fire as normal as any, but with some tainted blood, a flash of green and roaring high before settling to hellish visions below.

"Hello, mother. You look well, still enjoying mortal living?"

Ah, if it isn't your son, Vauma. With all the busyness here and the sporadic communications back and forth, you'd not seen him since before being summoned to the mortal realm. Nice to see he's still around, for your own purposes at least. A job well done, of keeping your holdings below in check, keeping the other minions in line.

"Oh you would love it here I'm sure, but you're doing a such a wonderful job there! Being in charge, that is. You always wanted to, so you might as well enjoy it."

"For you."

"Yes! For me! I'm so proud of you!"

Such a dutiful lad, a wise decision not to kill him after all this time. Well, only now given your current circumstances is that the case, but good that you didn't!

>What to discuss?
>>
>>2274163
I'm down to change her name to Maid.

>Ask if there's anything to report
Did we ever pass down that soul we got from the girl we gave money and beauty to? If not, do so.
>Ask what the demon that tried to kill us has been up to lately.
>>
>>2274163
>Give me a rundown of what's happened and if you all need anything you need only to ask
>>
>>2274197
>>2274199
You can have passed down the soul, but what would you have wanted it to be used for? Making a trade, increasing your domain there, or upgrading the fort?
>>
>>2274206
Benefits of increasing our domain? What could we get from a trade?
>>
>>2274197
I vote to keep her name
>>2274206
Any details on the two last choices?
>>
>>2274232
For upgrading the fort, we got these choices last time.

>The Armory, a cache of infernal arms and armor which was used by your minions and yourself, providing you with an amount of Hellscape armaments
>The Warren, a den for the imps to live and busy themselves, providing you with a steady supply of imps
>The Library, a repository for forbidden knowledge, providing you with a source of profane texts which can expand your repertoire of demonic rituals
>The Larder, attached to the despoiled kitchen and normally used for storing goods and consumables, providing you with a source of Hellscape common goods as well as the chance to temporarily store and massively corrupt items which you can transfer back and forth
>The Vault, a super secure storage room mostly for souls but anything of value really, although it was emptied it does provide you hereafter with an impenetrable defense of any wealth you send below (including souls)

We chose the Warren, so we might be able to upgrade it for better imps.
>>
>>2274228
For domain, that would be the area of influence, or zone of control you "have" in the Hellscape dedicated to you. Currently it's just the fort and a small handful of demons and devils. Expanding it though, would increase the area you control and bring more infernals into the fold.

Trade, would be just figuring something you want that some other infernal possesses, and making contact with them in hopes of trading for it. Like Merryl's soul, as one example.

>>2274249
As well of course, you can also upgrade the literal fort itself, to a larger/more secure fortification.

Those other choices are possible though sure, as is upgrading anything you've already obtained. In this case, the Warren.
>>
>>2274284
Domain sound good to me but I dunno about the rest
>>
>>2274284
>>2274308
I can back domain. Would like Vault at some point.
>>
>>2274317
>>2274308
Well you have multiple souls up for grabs if you want to spend them all. Or just the one, your choice.
>>
>>2274324
Just the one for now.

We're holding like 5, right? How is that affecting our power in the mortal realm?
>>
>>2274336
Supporting just one
>>
>>2274336
You have six unspent, and one stolen. They are certainly bolstering your power significantly here, though for a permanent increase you similarly have to commit to "spending" them on yourself.

But just one for now, and on domain? Sure thing then, you can pass over the contract to Vauma and he'll take care of the rest. Next time you contact below, you can expect the rewards.

So then, after that you're interested in following up with the forest bandit?
>>
>>2274354
Yes. Spending souls on yourself? Like consuming them? If we do that, do we still have absolute power over the original owners?
>>
>>2274354
Yup, bandit
>>
File: the commons.jpg (119 KB, 1024x870)

>>2274373
Yes, you'd eat them, effectively destroying the soul rather than "spending" it which could allow for a potential future refund if things went bad. But the payoff is a permanent empowerment.

If you were to eat someone's soul, it would render them soulless. You don't have the sort of control over them that owning their soul does, but you can usually control soulless folks (with a bit of corruption) soundly anyway. However, since eating a soul destroys it, it's potentially one of it not the most evil act you can perform.

>>2274384
Enough of that for now, you head back upstairs to see everyone whoms't to leave, and then donning your usual disguise you take your horse in order to ride the distance to where the forest bandit's camp should be.

Make a roll to see how he's fared in the last few weeks!
>>

So you make the ride the rest of the way there, and though it takes you awhile to find the fellow and his camp in the woods, eventually you get hit by one of his traps again. This time though he knows you, and lets you out.

Following back to his small camp, you notice the goods have built up some about his usual fire. Indeed he does have another potential captive for you it seems, and towards the task you set him on, he came into contact with an actual outfit of proper forest bandits rather than just his little operation here of camping out on his own.

He does complain though about living out here for this long now, and thinks that any heat on him must have died down. He'd prefer to reclaim the small fortune he stashed away, and return to a normal means of living if you'd allow it.
>>
>>2274477
Lmao no. He can only return to normal life if he manages to keep bringing you minions. Also that small fortune is yours now.
>>
>>2274488
lol is this some findom?
>>
>>2274499
findom? I don't think that's a word. It even autocorrected to fandom which supports the fact that it isn't a word
>>
>>2274488
He has no choice in the matter, you own his soul! He's your servant, your slave whether he likes it or not! Best he serve you without question, for the rest of his miserable life, and maybe just maybe if you're feeling merciful and he served well, you'll only subject him to a lesser torture for all eternity!

In any case he'll have to remain here doing his work, while you reap the rewards. That fortune though, how do you want to get it back? It was being transported in a carriage, and you've only a horse unless you want to wait for the wagon to get home. Plus, you'll probably be using the horse with the potential new victim if you're interested in snagging that there soul.
>>
>>2274530
Well, we turned the maid into a horse. Can we turn him into a big ol' draft horse that can carry it all, then transform him back and command him to go back to his post and resume activities?
>>
>>2274545
Oh yeah if you're fine with taking him away. Owning his soul, I mean you can do whatever you want to him, if that means being a workhorse then sure enough you can. What to do with the captive though, some elf woman who is obviously quite unhappy with everything. According to your soon-to-be horse, he caught her out hunting a few days ago and has been waiting for your call on what to do with her.
>>
>>2274562
Use a ritual to put her to sleep for a while. Put her on your horse with you and take her back. Keep her captive at the house for a bit, same way we did with the maid at first.
>>
>>2274562
I say we let him reclaim his stash, we could use it and in the return we could buy him what he needs with some of the money

Very well then, you cast the elf woman to sleep and get help putting her on your horse. Then, having the bandit lead you to his hidden stash and pulling everything out, you transform him into a big working stallion to his horror and despair. Obviously upset, though what can he do but stamp his hooves, swing his head and snort? It takes a lot of effort and time but eventually you fasten the number of boxes to him, straining under the weight despite his powerful frame. Leading him back then, you reach the camp and get on your own horse, and together ride out again at a slow but steady pace.

Exiting the denser part of the woods, crossing fields and seeking trails, you get along fine, though just by random chance, you happen across a sheriff and his band. They're out seeking signs of the headless horseman in the area, though the sight of you is a little odd at least, if not suspicious. The sheriff himself, while the folks with him continue to poke and prod around for haunted tracks, wants to know what you're doing and what your story is. He's not hostile, just wondering what a lone young woman is doing on her own through the back country with a pair of goods-laden horses and a sleeping, tied-up elf on the back of one? Don't you know these smaller roads aren't safe for a lady? There's bandits about, sometimes.
>>
>>2274625
"Just riding home with my freshly purchased elf slave, officer. Surely I don't need to fear attack with a skilled lawman like you patrolling the area!"
>>
>>2274636
>Slave

Ideally not that if you don't want trouble.
>>
>>2274625
>I found her passed out along with some hunting gear and a horse nearby, i didn't see any camps nearby so I'm taking her home to see if she alright
>>
>>2274643
Slavery isn't a thing in this setting? Damn. Um, she has a sleeping disorder and you didn't want her to fall off the horse?
>>
>>2274656
>>2274649
Slavery does exist, but not in these more... "civilized" lands. Indentured servitude or serfdom at the worst.

But saying you're taking her to get help, as well as complimenting the sheriff, does a good enough job for getting you out of suspicion. After that you can be on your way again and reach home without trouble. Before you can get into the grounds though, you find some couple at the main gate currently speaking with Natalie. It seems they're looking for someone, a fellow whom they believed to live here but up to this point Natalie has been refusing them since she has no clue who they're talking about.
>>
>>2274684
>Hand off elf to Maid and take over.
>>
>>2274684
Oh, leave the elf to her and go meet them!
>>
>>2274717
>>2274700
Simple enough to swap places with Natalie, have her take the horses to the stable and mind the elf, while you deal with these two.

"Greetings, good evening! How may I be of service?"

"Oh hello, yes. We're looking for Monsieur Jaques, though the young woman there didn't know him? She must be new help perhaps, the groundskeeper's wife? This is Jacques's estate, after all."

You honestly have no idea whom they are are talking about, just the same as poor Natalie. If you had to guess, they're speaking of the former owner? Apparently they are old friends come to visit, but of course you can't rightly entertain them when the guy himself is long dead. Some excuse though... this could be hard, as to why he isn't around.
>>
>>2274761
>The previous owner i presume?
>He disappeared a few months back when we moved in with him, since we were new in town he was going to let us stay with him until my Lucas and I were married, then he would leave to some other place with airships or something

>But the first night we stayed with him, he disappeared, we reported the disappearance but we found him some time later, or what remained of him

>Some wolves got him that night when he took a stroll after dinner

>We've been waiting for any relatives to show up to properly buy the house
>>
>>2274769
You can break the news to them of their friend's death, and try to be gentle about it, but naturally they are quite upset as the lady of the two tears up. Explaining the situation to them better doesn't much help, but they try not to get too distraught over things. They'll have to return then, probably tomorrow to follow up on this, but for now they bid you well. In terms of family coming to buy the estate, they wouldn't expect that but they would like to know if Jacques left any last words or will relating to them. It would please them to know if he had some kind parting words written away in the case of his death, since they were close friends at one time.

In any case they thank you then, and should wish to take their leave. You're free to go back to your business though.
>>
>>2274801
Get their names, then look around for any mention of them. Or rather, have a swarm of imps search the house.
>>
>>2274801
This
>>2274827
Check that study where we found the new and old documents
>>
>>2274832
>>2274827
Before they depart, you ask their names, Ren and Nala. As soon as you are able, you return to the study and begin searching around. To your suspicions, it seems that indeed these are friends of the former owner, fellow crew members of his. It makes sense that they may come calling every now and then, or come looking if not having heard from him for months.

Well, hopefully they buy your story, yes? At least the authorities did, and they can go and hear the same thing from them, so you’re at least backed up on that. You feel a little worried, but nothing to outright fear. How then to proceed?
>>
>>2274855
Is there an actual last will or something like it? I was thinking we give them the diary/docs/whatever if it doesn't reveal the truth about the owner before him

Now let's go see the elf!
>>
>>2274880
There was a will, yes and they were mentioned. Why would you want to part with anything to these strangers though? Maybe just the journals and such, you’re right.

In the meantime then, you can leave the study behind. Natalie left it up to Lucas to handle the heavy lifting with the small fortune from the forest bandit, and brought the elf inside to see to her. Awake by now, she’s seated in the kitchen, untied but still nervous and unhappy. Having already fed her at least, Natalie is checking her over for injuries and being very sweet in compliments about her fair elven beauty and such, after which it’s presumed that she’d be afforded a chance to use a proper bathroom and bath in who knows how long. The elf gets noticeably more on edge when she sees you, knowing you’re partially responsible but she doesn’t act out... yet. She just wants to know when she can leave?
>>
>>2274893
To make it more believable, i assume the will is safe to give? Nothing that could screw us over?

I dunno anons, do we need another servant? Or do we contract her soul then send her on her way?
>>
>>2274900
Well if you give them the will, they will expect what it entails, so you’ll have to give them money and other rewards specified within. It’s safe to give, but it will cost you.
>>
>>2274912
How much is this going to cost us exactly?
>>
>>2274914
According to the will, easily half the treasure he had (because no relatives to speak of) and the collection of all the old sky raider stuff.
>>
>>2274921
1) go through that pile of stuff and papers we have ins ecret room
2) put imps on it to do it quickly and effectively
3) grab usefull stuff, not all of them, but some
4) Sit by the table and start drafting new forged will. We have time, we already done something similar before, so lets do some perfect one. We wil give family and friends enought to be content but that is it.
>>
>>2274994
That’s simple enough, you are correct in that you have done this sort of thing before and already know the former owner’s handwriting. By evening then, you can have a new and believable will written up, to benefit yourself while taking care of anyone else within reason. You’re quite pleased with your efforts, just another scheme and wrapping up loose ends as far as you’re concerned.

It won’t be dinner hten for awhile, but how do you care to spend the evening?
>>
>>2275002
Oh and do try to look for things of sentimental value. This may be tricky but our will is going to be even better ( go through journals again or somerhing)

Behold THE LIST! (of questions, to-do will be posted after it)

> CNajwtc
is this Discord still a thing? I doubt I will use it, just asking.

> the Creator
is this guy same as our God, omniscient omnipresent all-powerful entity? Also, are angels a thing in human world or does Heaven execute policy of noninterference (with exception of divine might which is hold by some believers)?

> cambion
how this half demon looks like and what are upsides and downsides of being one?

> warlock/witch
we know they can summon demons but how about some normal magics? What actually pertains to be witch? Boons, disadvantages, their (supernatural) abilities, are they heavily into rituals, potions, or their way is different? It was mentioned with Merryl one time she had cauldron that magically stirrs itself and some sort of patchwork doll/golem as rudimentary help in her hut.

> hellscape is spying on us
Well, not really. I hope. Is there a way for hellscape denizens to spy on us? Imps and mortal followers are given but I am talking about more esoteric things, like scrying for example?

> making demons
we know that mortal who we take as our husband will become warlock and we can even go so far that after his death he will become demon himself. Any other ways how to turn mortals into demons?

> we dragon now
Ok, this one is pretty much just what-if, but hey. Is it even possible to disguise ourselves as something as big and deadly as dragon? If yes, how long will it take and will such a form be usable to its full extent? Subsequently can we morph into something tiny, like bird for example?

> he dragon now
can we change somebody else (our soulless servant) to be something else of vastly different size and shape? Dragon, mice, centaur, fly… we already know we can do horse.

> cont
>>
>cont >>2275127

> souls and power
more souls we keep with us more powerful we are and better ritual we are able to do (via spending aforementioned souls). this I understand. But power-wise are we talking just literal power and resilience, like ripping people in half, feeling tickles while paladins smite us in vain attempts to stop our rampage, or something more esoteric like ability to change the world around us, morphing and commanding mortals without owning theirs souls or being in corrupted environment, summoning stuff out of thin air, doing miracles, etc?

>can we consume stolen soul for power or no?

> how big is Rocheau
in terms of population, and how big presence church has here? There is abbey somewhere nearby I believe. I am asking this because I want to know how likely will our exploits be noted by potential enemies. There are soulless people running around, and whenever we stay for some prolonged time at one place we are spreading corruption - not mentioning hellish gold entering circulation the first moment we get our hands on some. Also some disruptive things like becoming miraculous healer are not exactly subtle.

> soul manifestation
can we do this for theatrical purposes? like literally holding someones soul in our hand etc.

> our guys and “friends” in hellscape
excluding names, we know shit about them. would you please give us some bio at least on the trio with names?

> our magical items
do you know who is wearing what currently? I believe pendant is most likely in our possession and we are using him in Amelie disguise but rest I am not sure.

> elfs in the area
uh.. .can you give us any info on them or are they terra incognita and we must interrogate our resident elf? I would like to know about them in general, their believes, gods, compatibility with our sort of soulfuckery and so on. Simply put, if they are viable material to convert and de-soul or not rellly.

>end
>>
> TO-DO list, LOOOOOOOOONG edition
(just assorted list of things that we should do at some point, no pressure. Wat Do Now will be posted at the very end)

> Natalie
she still needs fixing so she will not be fearful of us. Sure, we have her soul, but that is no reason to not enjoy her life. Perhaps we can throw one or two males her way to distract her (I am no talking about sex you sickos, just that other servant may want to keep each other company and in case of Ranolph he pretty much worships the ground we walk on since we healed him, so he will talk nice about us)

> Elen
impress and subtly corrupt her so she will become our follower and give us her soul. then use her as inroad to ensnare rest of pagan community that exists here. Right now she is helping us with grounds restoration, she can probably help with trees and shrubbery too.

> Patrice and Ranolph
we have two guys who are not assigned to any work. So lets give them some. Thoughts, anons?

> Inner circle
spend some time with all of them. Lately we were running around raping and getting raped so one lazy day full of social interactions won’t hurt, right? (we were still unable to do that because random stuff keeps popping out of the woodwork).

> Ordan
keep subtly improving him into orcy adonis, later we probably may approach him with proposition to go out to other orcs (trolls, goblins, kobolds,..) to show them how manly he is and if they want some too. until that time he is still our bodyguard

> Merryl
we still need to be nice to her again, apologize for beating and all those awful things we done to her and step-by-step nurse her back to her happy sisterly adorable persona. and there are still three souls we need to find (and kill their former owners).

> pagans
we want their souls, with lens help (as soon as she says that we are ok and she will follow us) we may be able to invite them to some sort of celebration/gathering. We need to prove ourselves here and impress them. Thoughts how to tackle this? I am pants at paganism and have no idea how such a party should look like. I will find answers tho, for science!

>we doctor
talk to Ranoplh about that out-of-town place where ill people are send. We need souls for Merryl, so this should give us plenty of opportunities to get some devoted followers and also unfortunate victims who will sadly die after we are done with them (wording of contract is everything - by saying we heal them in exchange for their soul we are not saying that we are not going to kill them soon after for example)

>cont
>>
> cont >>2275132

> house repairs
renovation done, greenery just need some time do grow back, so next thing is to build housing for our servants?

> box of parchment and writing supplies
we need to send to hell something better so there will be no need to use freshly mutilated skin for contracts

> summon imps, there are mortals we need to spy upon 24/7:
also hear reports, if there are any
bro & sis - what are they up to, watch them and we want periodical updates
highwayman - dtto, if he stumbles upon other subversive elements, grab more imps and watch them too
Perrins and Mullers - this is pure curiosity and nothing else - what happened to them after we left their farm? Lets send an imp and find out! I am wondering if they are ok or everything that is left after our tries for corruption is scorched earth. Be carefull here tho, watch out for inquisiton.
as a general rule, keep an eye out for potential enemies, just in case

> bandits loot
sort it with help of imps and then sell what we dont want to keep

> pirate map
we have map with positions of other potential pirates. should we do some recon, then pay them a visit and take their souls and other more mundane possessions?

> magical strongbox (was in secret room)
open y/n?

> other potential people and endeavors of note we may try to exploit (these were other two options when we were trying to get a job)
Corentin - a fairly successful farm manager whom owns a few steads in the area. He doesn't directly have a hand in controlling them and assigns people to do so, but he has a lot to keep track of and would welcome a secretary type to handle things so that he can take to his lucrative hobby of magical beast husbandry.

> scheming for souls
We need parchment, writing and painting supplies and time to practice the craft of illumination, calligraphy and forgery, so we can make perfect nicely looking contract for our followers in hellscape to copy and multiply. Also, we need bloodquil (see hellscape entry).
After we get all of this, we may start operation Big Scam to steal souls of mortals by trickery and law of too many pages of too tiny script nobody ever read, yet the whole thing is rather binding. Or just receipt, really. It is not our problem idiots don't bother to read what they are singing.

> hellscape
status report, how are things
(CONSENSUS NEEDED) send them all souls we can?, keep stolen ones with us to empower our demon self? (this depends on how will our fort vs us benefit from soul infusion - we need more info on this)
bloodquils when?
better imps?
defense, offense, utility of fort (producing gold would be nice) - options?

> MY TAKE ON HELL UPGRADES AND SOULS

Nom stolen soul for power (if possible)

Upgrade - this is slightly fuzzy, because OP said once one soul can be used for multiple thing at once, so I have no slightest clue how many things can we actually upgrade. Like, if we can trade 1-2 souls for full fort renovation (putting all facilities on level 1) I say go for it. Otherwise, priority is
warren (better imps, more specialized and capable ones, etc.)
gold production (for contracts)
defensive capability

>>2275127
Yes the discord is still active (though I am not sure if the link still is?), even if you don't use it to talk, it's still handy to know when the thread is active and such.

>Creator
More or less so, however he presides in a more discreet manner unlike other gods. Angels work in exactly the same way as demons do, just basically the opposite, naturally. In theory an angel could wind up in exactly the same situation you are in, if the same circumstances occurred.

For cambions it really depends on what sort of infernal the parent(s) is/are. Being a lesser demon yourself, you are not so radically different from a mortal in appearance (unlike infernals further up the hierarchy) but obviously you have some very visible signs of your nature. Thus as an example, a cambion begot by a lesser demon such as yourself may resemble something like pic related. For warlocks and witches, they might also have magic power but normally all their ability comes from contact with infernals. For any individual witch or warlock, it really depends, they can all be quite different both in style and practice as well as simply what kind of people they are. On the matter of the Hellscape spying, both sides, above and below are always watching. Of course there's a whole world, a whole material plane ripe for the watching, but your situation is so significantly special that it would be foolish to assume you don't have many spectators. As for making demons, you're mistaken in a potential husband becoming a demon, at best (assuming you went as far as incorporating him into your bloodline) he could only become a devil. There is no way to turn a mortal into a demon. Mortals to devils is really just a matter of them being taken into a bloodline and then giving themselves up, if they are sufficiently damned.

For shape shifting, yes either option is possible. Either changing yourself or a servant, and if it is yourself or a mortal whose soul you own, it can be done very rapidly. Like a human to a dragon in half an hour maybe for you to work out the kinks. For yourself though there is a limit in that, you can only take on disguises of things which have souls normally, whereas a servant isn't limited by that. However if you really wanted to appear as like a bird, you could always illusion yourself as such rather than literally taking on a full physical disguise. Or use imps, they can disguise themselves like that just fine.
>>
>>2275128
For personal soul use, it's kind of a combination of things you said. Basically, every soul you consume, the closer to your full Hellscape power you become. So that can mean simple physical stat boosts, but it can also be demonic powers. Though, for most demonic powers it also relies upon your domain strength back in the Hellscape. So if you did nothing to aid your allies below and lost all influence, you could eat a bunch of souls and grow super powerful. But if you had a huge domain below and ate even just a few, you could perform demonic powers and feats (drawing from your domain below) which would be quite fearsome indeed. Like most things, probably the best bet is some middle ground. And yes you can eat stolen souls for power but it's only temporary. Handy in a pinch or for some situational, dire need in the moment. To that other question, yes you certainly can manifest souls, clear to see and show.

For the magic items, I was under the assumption that you kept all on you, however while in your true form they're basically useless. Still, just keeping them close both for safekeeping and for style. For the other details, of Rocheau, your minions below, and the elves in the area, you will have to investigate those. It's not hard to do, just something you'd have to do one at a time rather than just opening up some convenient tome on hand with all the relevant info.

Natalie is definitely improving. The problem is that she's kind of the odd one out. She lives in the house and closely with the rest of you, but the others all know each other, are good friends and even lovers. Meanwhile, Natalie went from complete stranger, to maid, to now kind of just cohabiting rather than part of the group. The same is kind of true for Elen although she's still in the trial period of deciding yes or no to join you. Probably if you can think of some good way to bring Elen into the fold, it may also work for Natalie. For Merryl, as said you've improved your relationship, though without some direct intervention, it's not like she can just forget what you did to her. No matter how nice and sweet you may act, because of what you did, she'll always know what your true nature is and behave accordingly.

Patrice and Ranolph by contrast, hardly are involved with the others and barely are around even. You own them, but they have their own jobs and are only around to sleep and eat. Ranolph, doesn't even live at the house and only stops by, and Patrice would prefer that. They're only around as much as you want them to be, otherwise, well they don't have a choice in just slaving away to support you.

Ordan by contrast isn't as around or involved as the others are but he lives on the grounds; currently he occupies the groundskeeper's house with two other orcs he attracted to him, after (over the previous month) you improved him to a point where he's peak physical fitness, performance, and maybe even appearance if you wish it. Currently it's just two orcs, and he's working them along the process to offering up their slaves too, but if you want him to seek out non-orcs you can just specify. Otherwise, they mostly just hang around the groundskeeper house and the grounds, practicing and always at the ready for when you need them.

For the pagans and the sick, it's just your choice whichever you want to devote your focus to. Either can work and either can payoff, it's just a matter of pursuing them. Though as with anything, there may be consequences.

>>2275133
Expanding housing may be good if you get many more servants. Though, it isn't going to look good to outsiders if you start building basically a little township on your property. You may either need to obtain some other property for this purpose, or expand in some secret way that is hidden but still usable.

For the spying targets of imps, you can set about that tomorrow, and just pick the order you're most interested in. The imps will bring back info in that order, with potentially varying success.
>>
>>2275133
Obtaining some proper writing stuff shouldn't be hard, and passing it down below. On all that matter of scheming and contract making, that's a simple enough effort that only requires undertaking it. As long as you make an effort some day to obtain the needed supplies and make a roll, everything else will fall into place. Bloodquills though you can already get from below, by now. And no, the strongbox was not opened.

For those other endeavors, you can commit to them but it would mean abandoning your current lifestyle and going back to your mortal Amelie self in the capacity of looking for a job again. Though at this point, your servants can probably manage the estate while you're gone, if you wanted to pursue a personal goal for some time again. Like getting a job and corrupting your way through from within.

>>2275135
Thank you for the docment, that's a great bit of effort. I'd offer a reroll as thanks but I think you already have three or something? No more than three for anyone!

For how many things can upgrade per soul, it depends on the soul. Just specify which you are spending, and I'll let you know how much the aggregate is worth.

~~~
Bring Merryl that magically locked strongbox and see if she can open it. If not savagely beat her again and call her worthless. Then kill her.
>>
>>2275272
strongbox will not budge, we already tried and only way to open it is either by mundane magic or by going full demon on its ass (our supernatural presence trumps magic so it will just give up and go away)
>>
>>2275284
I know. I voted to go full demon and open it when we first found it, but other anons didn't want to risk the contents so they chose to leave it. That's why I'm having Merryl try with mundane magic. Although honestly she'll probably bungle it worse than we ever would have.
>>
>>2275288
I'm not sure if Merryl even dabbles in mundane magic, but sure, we can try and give her the box. But to be honest, easier way is just go demon and open it. Right now, of those who are not in the know of our true nature, there is only elf around and we can keep her contained pretty easily.
ANYWAY,
So you can spend the night forging a pretty convincing fake will, with imp help. By the time you’re done most everyone has gone to sleep, though you’re free to act. No need to summon imps, the house is like a revolving door for them and even in this room you’re surrounded by them. Ones sitting on your lap, hanging onto your shoulders, climbing up the chair to try and hug or pinch you, crawling around your legs, jumping on the desk, etc.
You can call for two in particular however, set after the brother and sister. According to them, it would seem that the duo staged a robbery of Margot’s house. The brother made off with the swag but the sister was caught and currently faces likely punishment.
Some other imps, you can send off to spy on those two farming families you stayed with, sure.
>>2275808
You can’t really wake up Merryl without waking up Lucas and Mila, sharing a bed that they are. You can just get a night’s rest though and take care of it first thing in the morning.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=P5-yrYEn1Lg
Well that’s one way to wake up, you suppose. Jolting out of bed to the sound of thunder, you feel the whole house shake. Some screams of panic from the others you hear after, but you immediately seek the source. It’s the second thunderclap along with shattering glass that you find it; a cannonball having blasted through a window and embedding itself in a wall of the dining room. Cautiously but quickly you approach the window, to see quite an alarming sight indeed.
”Flying... ship?”
A hundred yards away maybe, and lingering above the ground is what appears to be a boat about the size of a large carriage, suspended in the air by a massive patchwork balloon. Smoke rising from the sides, indicates the source of the cannonfire.
I suppose this >>2275889 but lets be reasonable - they are shooting at us without warning and in broad daylight. I say while somebody does waving and yielding, we just rip the ballon and let that silly ship plummet down to its inevitable demise.
How to do the ripping? Can we just grab a cannonball and threw it back? Or perhaps do some demonic transformation on the ground and let the wild and upredictable roots grab the ship and crush it?¨
Also, we have like army of imps. We can send them spying if there is anybody else and if the coast is clear, lolmurder everything and everybody in the ship. (scouting, of course, include looking for priests and other nasties)
>>
>>2275889
>>2275890
By about the fourth cannon shot, you’ve managed to tie together a white banner from some tablecloth and a chair leg. The others by now have emerged from their rooms, in various states of sleep, undress and panic, but you’ve no time for any of that! Rushing outside to be in plain view, you start waving the banner madly.
At least, it does stop the cannonfire, but it takes awhile for the ship to kind of drift closer. You notice Ordan and the orcs emerging, but quickly try to signal to them not to rush in yet. It takes awhile for the ship to sort of drift over closer, but up there on board you can see the couple from yesterday.
”I uh... we surrender!”
”This is revenge! You bastards killed him, and then took up residence like nothing’s wrong? Bring out the ones responsible, then maybe we won’t destroy everything!”
It would seem, that they didn’t buy your story and understandably are quite angry with your behavior in relation to their former captain.
>>
>>2275926
>>2275934
Slight majority. You try to stick to your guns, but they’re just insulted and ask if you think they’re dullards? Either you’re trying to mislead them or you really are an idiot, in which case they want to talk to whomever is really in charge.
If you are willing to abandon the house though, as you said, well that does improve their demeanor at least a little. They still want the murderer responsible, but letting the rest go is more palatable now if you’re leaving surrendering the property.
>>2275919
At the very least without causing trouble or suspicion, you can give a signal to any imps watching to go scouting. However, with all eyes on you, with your disguise on you can’t communicate with the imps on what they find without actually conversing with them.
>>
>>2275944
thing is lingering just above ground, so imps should be able to get there and fuck it up enough to crash. or at least that is my impression. also it seems the ship is slower than snail, easy target.
>>2275951
We may try to gamble little bit - go out of house, hands up, while telling those two to stop this nonsence, we have no idea what they are talking about and want to talk bout it. But be ready to dodge cannonballs or bullets. If they want scapegoat they will need to grab us and since we are inside our grounds we are pretty powerfull (corruption) so we can fight back. And there are still imps. Before we leave house, tell them to wait for our signal and then go and subdue everything that moves and is even remotely unfriendly towards us.
Fine, fine! You will leave, you and everyone else! Just let them give you a moment to go inside and let the others know! To this the pirates are fine with, so you take the chance and return in the house. The others are clamoring about by the windows despairing and wondering what to do. Lucas wants to leap to action, trying to think of a way to disable the ship. Merryl actually has a way to get up there, her flying broomstick, however it seems likely that the pirates would just shoot anyone trying to fly up.
You though take a room aside to drop your disguise, returning to your true self, and drawing forth the stolen soul to eat. The thing dances and flickers in your hand, looking it over before scoffing it down. How wonderfully delicious, even if it is just a snack! With no delay you already begin to feel greatly empowered, and going to fetch your hellish knife, you prepare yourself and let the imps know of the plan. So with a final burst of energy you rush through the entry hall and past all the others (to their surprise) out the front door, to make a dash to be under the flying ship. Clearly the pirates weren't expecting this, and rapidly they try to fire some pistol shots at you on the way but they either miss or do no damage.
Once you approach a position beneath, you take a running jump and with your empowered strength and hellish capabilities manage to spring up and just barely catch ahold of some of the rigging hanging down beneath the ship before the pirates can hurriedly attempt to rise higher in the air. They can't tell where you are, but you can hear them panicking as you clamor your way up from underneath the ship to approach the deck. Knife held by your tail while you climb, you'd make for quite the swashbuckler.
How then do you want to spring your attack upon the two? You're able to reach just beneath the side railing and see on at the helm trying to steer the ship higher and away, while the other searches haphazardly around on the ground for you. You didn't have a chance to let Ordan and the orcs know of your plan but when they saw your attack they followed suit, meanwhile a multi hued tide of imps gush forth from the house and amass beneath the ship waiting for their chance to do anything. Many in fact, are trying to climb on top of, and stack their way up, though they won't be able to manage this height in time but it's an admirable attempt.
>>
>>2276317
Propel ourselves upwards with our new strength and aim for the balloon, pop it and let gravity do the work
If they don't die in the fall the imps and the rest can get them
>>
>>2276317
cute little buggers... ok, we need to stop the ship.
can we climb up and hit carve the baloon?
if not, i guess it is just grabing humans and throwing them down (as a demon we are much stronger than mortals, right?)
>>
>>2276317
Don't kill them, capture them and take their souls.
Climb on deck and throw them overboard to the imps.
Land the ship once that's done. It's ours now.
>>
You are as inspired as you are empowered! Seeing the one searching about, you wait till she nears your side, and then spring up to knock her over and use the rigging to fasten her down. The only one left at the helm notices this only too late, and can't prevent it. He does have a gun on you, but what do you care? You slowly approach despite his warnings and then dash forward once he shoots you (to little effect). With a horned headbutt to the guy, you knock him down and then beat him into unconsciousness.
All that remains now is... this ship. You've no idea or experience with how they work, not even conventional boats. All you saw was the guy trying to steer it around and messing with some sort of fiery burner up top by the bottom of the balloon. So you struggle with the helm for a bit and messing with the burner. Luckily for you it must be magic, because when you mess with the burner too much the colored fire goes out, from interference by your unholy presence. It takes awhile but you notice the balloon start to slacken a little and the ship definitely (but slowly) descending. Trying to steer it properly then through this, unfortunately you don't do a very good job and end up crashing into the roof of the house and taking a chunk with it. Spinning out, eventually the ship smashes to the ground with the balloon getting caught on some trees, very roughly coming to a smoky and dusty mess.
But you are down, as the horde of imps swarms up and aboard, jumping all over the captives and pinching and biting them, Ordan and the orcs soon to follow. Everyone is quite celebratory and offering of congratulations to you, though you worry if anyone saw anything through that whole mess...
The place is basically ours in corruption and influence right? Can we rebuild what was broken with demon magic?
>For the record, I didn't kill your captain
>>
>>
>>2276450
Nice
>>
>>2276440
Well they didn't believe you before, they certainly aren't going to believe a demon now. You can set the imps off then to fixing the house, but what to do with these two and their ship?
>>
>>2276518
A contract! They get to be spared, *right now* but we get their souls!
>>
>>2276561
Pitch? Because they know what you are now and aren't going to willingly do such a thing of course.
>>
>>2276610
If they don't we hunt down the rest of their friends. Hopefully they care about the rest as much as they care about the captain.
If they still don't agree just steal what we can with a ritual.
>>
>>2276610
>THE plan
>We can forgive this, spare you right now and send you off with a nice little ship to pillage and plunder in our name
>or you can die here
>Either way I'm getting your souls
Also let's not get to rebuild right now, let's wait to see how this ends up before getting to it
>>
>>2276619
>Hopefully they care about the rest
Not even a little bit, not over their own lives.
>>2276628
You sense some interest in Ren about being a possible captain of a ship himself, but Nala isn't at all interested in giving up her soul. At least not over just being allowed to live.
>>
>>2276667
Eh, just steal their souls
They'll bargain for enough to stay safe
>>
>>2276667
She gets to live and be spared *right now* and another boon of her choice this instant too
>>
>>2276716
>>2276679
If you can offer her that then, something really good, she might be inclined.
>>
>>2276726
It's up to her then.
>>
>>2276952
This is her trying to see what your best offer is, sort of deal. Better that than she ask for too little.
>>
>>2277076
Uuuugh
Offer her money, good looks just like the other woman. Safety from you for the rest of her life if she insists.
>>
>>2277128
Safety from us at this very moment*
Don't wanna ruin the deal or the plan i have
>>
>>2277128
Not very creative, but she supposes she can take it. Though as well she wants to be restored to youth, and put to peak physical fitness. And also she would like you to set some goal for her in terms of number of souls for her to claim for you, that she might eventually be able to reclaim hers. Basically buy it back once she reaches a threshold. Give her these, and she’ll willingly sign your contract.
>>
>>2277212
Very well! Let's give it to her, get their souls, order them to stay then we call the authorities
They'll hang for what they did!
And don't repair the damage
>>
>>2277420
You want the authorities to your home? Also not to mention you did offer her safety. The guy though, no such scruples about what is done to him.
>>
>>2277561
>Safety at that very moment
Keyword "that moment".
Not breaking the contract.
>>
Guys, why are we dead set to claim their souls? or the womans at least? They are enemies, now they knows we killled their friendo and she WILL try to screw us in the future, so:
Send imps to scout for witnesses (dont capture, just spy on them and learn what they think they saw)
Loot everything (cannons get etc) meanwhile and interrogate pirates if they have friends who will come lookinf for them
Then kill everbody, make it look like normal fight/accident/raid gone bad
wait with repairs if anybody shows up to investigate wtf happend
if nothing happens, repair everything, burn the evidence (ship, bodies, make it look like nothing ever happened)
>>
>>2277661
Literally didn’t give anyone anything, was just clarifying and asking if it was ok. Even now nothing has been given.
>>2277676
Well if you own their souls, there’s nothing that can do to screw you over anyway.
But you want to just kill them and cover everything up then? After making sure people didn’t know of course.
>>
You’re still calling the authorities though, which is a problem at least on her. If they came on their own then it would be fine, or if they caught her without your input. Doing it to the guy isn’t a problem though, he didn’t have the forethought that she did.
In the meantime while you figure out what to do, some imps approach after scouting with news. It seems a few people are gathering by the front gate. Not a sheriff or anything as far as they can tell, just what looks to be some assortment of random strangers. By now some of your “friends” have arrived, and Natalie offers to see to these people.
>>
>>2277721
we cartinly never said that aloud unless we are dumb shit demoness, srsly. we may have our moments but we are not THAT incompetent
>>
>>2277728
I believe I said, but unless you are offering her a deal by which she’s safe for the rest of her life, as a minimum, she’s not going to sign anything. It’s either that or no soul, for her. And as difficult as you’re making this for her, she’s going to take extra care to double check anything she signs. As well because she is aware of you being a demon and all.
>>
>>2277743
>>
>>2277761
It feels like you guys are trying to scam your way to victory, and in my attempt to double check what the player’s action is, there’s complaining.
>>2277757
I’m confused by your wording then, of this post >>2277728 . I don’t know how else I can put it, if you offered what she would accept to sign for, then she’ll sign for it. If you offer her anything less, she won’t sign it. If you are going to assume she signed it, then I am going to assume you were ok with the offer she wanted.
Now whatever you do after that is totally up to you, I am just clarifying what the stipulations are of what she was willing to sign. If you do something later and it voids the contract, then I should like to imagine I can inform you of that risk beforehand, without complaint.
>>2277756
Only the imps got a chance to see that there are people gathering at the gate, they didn’t interact with them so they don’t know what’s going on. You’d have to send a servant or go yourself, to figure that out.
>>
>>2277777
I thought we had agreed on the safe from us part regardless if we were calling the authorities or not, because it won't matter, because she won't know until she's signed it
>>
>>2277780
Voiding the rules of a contract doesn’t hinge upon either party, the contract itself has rules by which it follows. Nala can be completely in the dark about your plans and what you do, but if you screw her over after, the contract is void by its own rules, not because she ever did or did not find out.
>>
>>2277777
> witnesses at the gates souns like a movie
If Natalie is willing, send her to smooth things over. Story so far is, we were atacked by some pirates (no idea why), but somehow, probably by pure dumb luck and because they crashed their own ship, we managed to subdue them. EVERYVODY IS FINE, WE HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL, things are just messy and we are trying to discernt what the hell happened and what to do now. No need to panic or lend helping hand (but thanks for the sentiment, we apperciate it).
Try to downplay it a little I guess, be polite, if they offer to call authorities tell them we will do that when the time is right, but since those awful people tried to rob, murder and most likely rob us... (wink wink nudge nudge - lets just say out male populace is nit happy with them atm)
> plan for pirates
would you write again exactly what these two want, please? I would rather have clean slate here before I write plan for them
>>
>>2277788
But the contract's rules stays unbroken
She's safe from us, we won't act against her, but outside forces still can, those villagers are sure a hell going to call the authorities when they figure out there's skypirates about or when someone from our house told them
We're not acting against her here
>>
>>2277797
...most likely kill us...
no idea where the second robbing came from
>>
>>2277801
gaaaaaah, i am dumb shit. RAPE US, I wanted to write RAAAAPEEEEE UUUUSSS...
fking hell...
>>
>>2277799
If the other people do that, sure then things are fine. If you do, they aren’t. This was my point earlier.
>>2277797
You can send Natalie off, sure thing and she’ll try to take care of it.
Now hopefully for the final time, the pirates seek these things for contracts. If not, they won’t sign and are fine with dying;
>Ren - if you spare him now and let him be a captain to that offer you had of raiding for you
>Nala - if you spare her for the rest of her life, give her gifts now like wealth, beauty, youth, power, and have some kind of clause where if you set some number of souls for her to get for you, if she reaches the number then she gets her own soul back
>>2277802
That’s nice and family friendly post.
>>
>>2277810
Send Mila to deal with the crowd, explain what happened and then send them off on their way
Agree to both and give what they want and once Ren signs kill him some time later or send him off to die in the forest
Contract still valid right? We spared him back then, but the contract doesn't state he was going to stay alive after that
>>
>>2277810
what can i say? i am nice and family friendly person
> fucking over Nala
can we agree to all of this and after she signs turn her into young beautiful and most powerful mayfly ever, give her one gold coin and call i a day? A thinks this is proper hellish fuckery with somebody we really dont like, because we are sticking with the contract, we never said she will be beautiful etc human after all, and you said contracts are not intent based
>>
>>2277820
> ren
well, we can spare him NOW, make him captain of crashed ship and then kill him like >>2277819
said. again, technically correct approach methinks
>>
>>2277831
Or order him to crash/sabotage his new ship
>>
>>2277820
Now see that kind of screwing someone over is totally fair game. Though would that you were to do it, perhaps something more useful to you? More horses is never a bad thing, for example.
>>2277819
You can send both Mila and Natalie, twice the defusing power. And no that wouldn’t void things with Ren, he didn’t have the foresight to ask for mercy more than in the moment. After like a day, and making him a captain (though no need for actual payogff), you could totally kill him.
>>2277831
Yes, like that, is possible.
>>
>>2277841
>horse
tempting but these souls are for Merryls, so better be on the safe side. Mayfly it is. I wont bother with rest of legalise, but as long as we not knowingly kill her after that we should be fine. and mayflys live for.. i dont know.. a day tops i think, not our problem really.
> ren
we should dispose of him quickly, so if we can do all of this at the same time (like: now you are captain of this ship here, goodbye -splat-) it will be glorious
>correct way how to deal with these two
These pricks kept me up from my sleep
>>
>>2277853
we also need to do some sort of speech to our friends and workers after that, but all in due time
>>
>>2277851
Maybe give Ren a day for his “spare me now” stipulation to run out but sure. You tempt the two of them to sign their souls away and then get to work, particularly on Nala. The poor wretch is helpless to stop you from changing and shifting her body, against her pleading and screaming. Before long, what was human is no more, not but a harmless little fly to crawl out of her empty clothes upon the ground. Ren is disturbed by this, but glad he’s not suffering the same fate. You spare him for now and deem him captain of this downed ship, telling him he has to get it fixed, up and running again. He’s not pleased by this, but you don’t expect him to finish it in a day, so it will never be operational anyway.
Now then, it seems with the pirates dealt with, for the most part, you have two new souls to do with as you please. Otherwise, how do you proceed?
Solemn face on, we are not happy what just trasnpired here today and perhaps a bit ashamed of ourselves and our actions.
"I know what you probably think now, that I am a monster for what I just did to her. But they tried to kill you. YOU, my friends, but first and foremost the family. Some of you may not feel the same way towards me, and I may have treaded some of you poorly, but know that I WILL defend you and deal with anybody and anything what will try to hurt you with extreme prejudice and without mercy. Salvaged!
So, you get everything else in order for going to meet with the people at the main entrance. Before you do though, once Mila and Natalie return, you give quite a strong speech to the gathered lot of everyone there. It’s not perfect, and you’d have done better to rehearse it, but it gets the point across. Maybe most of your mortal servants are uneasy by the way you dealt with the pirates, but none of them can deny that it was against lethal hostility from them. For this, they are grateful, though it does reinforce in some of them, the underlying fear of crossing you or making you upset.
Still, overall morale is not greatly impacted, and everyone is thankful the crisis is over. Dealt with in fact by you alone more or less. If anything that is sure enough proof that sticking with you means a good amount of safety and friendly force, so that’s a big reassurance. And the orcs loved the display, the other two are pretty much ready to give their souls over after that!
Really, only Elen is unpleased by the way you screwed over the pirates. Or at least Nala, since she doesn’t know you’re going to screw over Ren too. It’s like getting to see a side of you she feared lied underneath, and now she’s definitely having doubts, not only about signing up with you but bringing anyone else she knows into the fold.
>Ah well, can’t win all the time, but overall you can count this as a win. Now, off to meet with the gathering folks at the gate?
>>
>>2277967
Not unless it would make sense for the situation... or you want it to? It was a roll for a convincing speech though.
>>
>>2277988
>>2277976
>elen
yeah, I was afraid what will Elen say, guess we need to have some heart to heart conversation co clear the air:
we did what we did beacuse she was enemy and imminent danger to our friends. and we ARE demoness, which means we will be nasty with our enemies. That is an occupational hazard i guess. And that pirates soul was black to the core, we can sense this, if she was better person, than perhaps we would ha been more lenient, but she has it coming (give her some inkling hove bad she was by citing random examples of foul things she did, pillage murder, torture...).
Bottom line is, as long as people are at least neutral towards us, there is no reason to fear us. But if they decide to fuck with us or ours, there will be consequences. And if attacker is somebody with black soul, well...
On the other hand, if you are friendly, qou get benefits and friendship in return.. perhaps more if you desire so, but that is up to elen, really. Just dont judge us for one example of extreme behaviour. Even good knights do bad things in the name of greater good, because they deem it neccesary. It does not mean they like it.
New long term plan - make everybody aware what exactly happend and why (see elen) and just talk to them. They really have nothing to fear from us. What we did is not very different from humans. Pirates and murderers are hanged after all, our death sentence was just a bit... creative... and more along the line of actual punishment for her deeds.
>orcs
whooops i completely forgot our new additions may or may not know about our true self. Ah well, things went better than expected.
Sooo.. de-soul and upgrade them to orcy adonis level then?
umm and i didnt see the greentext. yeah, lets go meet the folks too
>>
Well I would assume this is done after you deal with the strangers at the gate. On the way there you talk to Mila and Natalie, whom give you the basic rundown of what they found out. Seems mostly, they’re just curious people chasing after something interesting.
And sure enough when you get there that seems to be the case. Some humans, mostly farmers cutting off work, some eager goblins, a flabbergasted troll, a couple of elven rangers, and an undiscernible construct. Though none of their reasons are the same, the general sentiment is curiosity, as they all ask you if you saw the fling ship come by this way? All of them were more or less following it when they saw it pass by, but it was lost passing through the woods near here. They assume and hope it continued in the direction it was headed, and they want to know if maybe it passed by your house en route of its journey? They’d like to keep following it of course, if that’s the case.
You laugh nervously alongside Mila and Natalie, wondering what to do. At the very least, it’s not like they’re trying to barge onto your property. They’re just following after something strange and amazing, like how folks in a neighborhood may filter out of their houses when the ice cream truck comes around.
It feels like you guys are just really stupid.
>>2277820
This guy is smart.
>>2278033
"Ok folks, nothing to see here, just fought off some pirates."
>>
>>2278033
Something along the line of
>Yeah, we saw it. Those idiots crashed into our house. Everybody is fine, but ship is toast. Sorry to disappoint you folks, but we really need to go back and clean up this mess...
should work then? Be nice, apologize to them, and send them away...
or
assuming they do not intent to barge into our property and sniff around
>oh, the ship? it went that way i think. we are remodelling the house tho, so we were not that keen to follow it. you know how it is, work work work...
wave in general direction of deep deadly woods where the thing was supposed to head and send people on their way
>>
>>2278057
On the ground?
You feel pretty safe in assuming they aren’t part of the flying ship crew, walking or riding on the ground.
>>
>>2278059
lets do this then
assuming they do not intent to barge into our property and sniff around
>oh, the ship? it went that way i think. we are remodelling the house tho, so we were not that keen to follow it. you know how it is, work work work...
be nice, wave in general direction of deep deadly woods where the thing was supposed to head and send people on their (i am assuming here crashed ship can be seen only if somebody enters our grounds)
then command imps to guard and either chase away or capture any intruders. they have dog disguises and as long as nobody sees the ship they should stick witch scaring people
then rest of the talking to our guys
then i am going to get myself lunch i suppose
>>
>>2278070
You figure to just wave them off to continue their goose chase, though you make sure to have the imps on watch in case they try to trespass. It takes awhile to make sure, but indeed it seems, the lot of them really were just following after the flying ship in curiosity.
Well, at least you can feel safer knowing that no one else would have seen the battle to take place. Or at least, not on your property and the fate that became of the ship. The less attention, the better right?
So then, what on your list ot to-dos is next?
>I’m leaving it here myself, for the night, but will continue as usual tomorrow. Thanks all for playing, feel free in the meantime to ask any questions, discuss or plan things.
>>2278083
Okay, here goes. I am afraid it is again wall of text, but I cant really help it. There is always something pressing to do (and actual full todo list is, like, twice or thrice this size) or things that are pretty much just yes/no but they still take three lines of text. And I am not talking about points where I go full ramble mode...
-sigh-
> pirates and ship
keep pirate guy in the house in pretense to wait for things to heat down
interrogate him to learn everything about crew, other friends, families, their power, location, riches, everything. We need to tie loose ends and while at it there is no reason not to pillage and plunder (especially if there are some property without owners).
dismantle the ship, keep useful stuff and destroy/sell the rest - see secret room below
as for Rens future, see Elen below, but the bottom line should be mindwipe, order to go to authorities and tell them why he is horrible person and should be punished, and let humans handle the rest.
> elen
she is not happy with the way we treated Nala. So talk to her and apologize, we really went overboard here and in the hindsight what we did was pretty awful and cruel. Our excuse? There is none, we are used to hell, and hell.. well.. it is bad down there and some instincts die hard. So for what is it worth, we are sorry.
Which leads us to Ren over here. We obviously lack proper moral compass (or more likely we need to tune ours to mortal world standards), and while we try our best, we slip a lot. So, Elen, what should we do with Ren? We still thinks he needs to be punished and we are definitely not going to start our own pirate party, so helps us. Please, what should we do?
Basically drag her into scheming, make her part of family, perhaps even our moral compas so she feels like she is needed and appreciated, and we do want to be better person and we rely on her.
> morale in da house
we may probably want to play “elen thing” on everybody in da house, just talk to them, express doubts about our actions and ask for forgiveness, guidance, etc (and ask them if they think we are bad person). sincerity and humility open many doors
> content of secret room + hwman#2s loot
send imps and let them sort all the stuff, then report back
sell everything we dont need, keep only interesting or truly uniq stuff (let our guys do it - who?)
> open magic box
get Merryl and show it to her
go out of house and open it somewhere safe (if merryl says she can open it, go with her. if not, go solo and turn demon)
>elf woman in our kitchen
...um… she is still with us, right? and she saw everything we did, right? FFFFUUUUU...
> hellscape and imps get
Flying ship incident should be a reminder to us that humans may be able to beat us with relative ease. So… We need better imps and here is what I have in mind:
general purpose - dog (we already have these)
general purpose - human (so we can have help on the grounds without much trouble from random observer)
guard - dog (our general purpose imp can do this too i suppose, but specialist would be better
guard - human (dtto i guess)
guard - alarm (specialist, can wake up the dead when starts shrieking, not sure if can be disguised tho)
spy - flyer (specialist, little birds, owls, bats,... incospicious but always alert, always watching, also fast messengers)
spy - little animals (specialist, mices, cats, squirrels… rest is same as flyer minus messenger part, on foot he is not as fast)
spy - covert (specialist, invisibility, ninja or VERY good disguise as anybody or anything he wants, can snek his way into hard to reach places, some downside probably needed to even things out?)
warrior - winged (specialist, air superiority, good only for fighting)
warrior - on foot (dtto, only he is ground trooper)
So contact hellscape and lets see how many souls we need to invest. also gold production and defense of hellfort would be nice as added bonus.
> hwman#2
keep him as horse forever? I say yes, we dont really have any use for him. and if we are truly evil we can cripple him and then sell him to butcher.
> order imps to fix house after the dark, also permanent gog-imp guards on the grounds from now on
nuff said
> de-soul orcs and make them full orcy adonis (or just upgrade them the way they want)
if they are willing, lets do it. Ordan will be in charge of them after that
>>
>>2278083
For Helen
We did what we had to, these pricks attacked us over a revenge that wasn't even on us, we didn't kill that man(no one knows we did iirc, not even Merryl), they assumed we did and see how that went?
It was fair and just punishment for the unsolicited attack on us
>>2278149
Also once Ren is dead and Nala's fly life span expires we will have enough souls to trade for Merryl's
Sh-should we do it anon?
>>
>>2278301
>helen
she knows this and she has problem with our... lets say chosen type of punishment. and we fucked Nala in most demonic way possible and send her to her death to boot. I bet if we just handed her over to authorities, elen would be fine with.
>merryls soul
we need souls: two alive and well, or three whatever. we are aiming for three.
two we have from pirates, the third maaaybeeee hwman#2. he is currently horse, so no big deal here (probably), but i would rather trade with perfectly safe goods. which means turning the bandit into salami or finding one more unlucky victim
>>
>>2278323
It was well deserved as far as anyone knows, we didn't do anything (as far a everyone knows) to get attacked, he was at the wrong place at the wrong time that night
Don't we already have the three tho? If not we could kill the farmer guy who stayed for the girl, she got to live and leave after all
>>
>>2278347
with elen around, disappearing our own people is bad idea. besides getting just one more victim now is dead easy - disguise ourselves as doctor, mage, or something, go to that place where ill people are stashed, and somebody will sign his or her soul to us. perhaps even for life of the other and we can play it like perfect life for llife exchange. One person lives, other dies and we get the soul as payment.
>>
>>2278323
>>2278347
Massive celebratory orgy with everyone in the house and grounds when?
>>
>>2278149
lol wtf
>>2278301
>>2278323
After dealing with the nosy strangers, the next most pressing matter (while giving the go ahead for the imps to start making repairs) is to sign up those other orcs. After seeing your stunt, they believe they made the right choice in following Ordan. However, as far as improving them, maybe not to the extent that Ordan is, as at approachable power the orcs will try to determine who is strongest in order to lead. Unless you don’t care about that.
In any case that’s another two willing souls. Elen then seems to be the next focus, which the chance presents itself when after all the commotion with the pirates, everyone can start getting to their day. You take the chance aside with Elen then to discuss the matter, and make a good case in all ways for your reasoning. Invariably though, she pleads that you reconsider and make good on the intent of the deal with Nala rather than the mere wording. Sure enough it’s a devious punishment against a grave offense, but it’s not like you need her the way you rendered her.
Then again, you so very much delight at your torments...
>>
>>2278369
I know it look like a horrible wall of text but at least half of it is fire&forget stuff... and again i am sorry
>>
>>2278369
>nala
allrigt, we will try, but - she is a fly, teeny tiny one, so we cant gurantee succes (finding her is very problematic will all the backgrund noise of our presence, grounds, etc). and yes, we obviously didnt think things through, so we will give a shot finding her, but... well. We are good, but miracles are still out of our league for now.
At any rate, thank elen and perhaps next time will be doing something she deemed non appropriate, she should tell us.
And then pretend the search in some sort of esoteric way, because there is no way we could find her by mundane means even if we actually tried.
>>
>>2278369
We're sorry but no, she had full intent to kill and punish us and our innocent friends, we won't tolerate that
>>
>>2278369
Ask Elen why she even cares about Nala.
>>
>>2278385
anon, we are not attemting to search or help nala, we are just bullshiting elen so she thinks we are nice person so she will give us her soul later on...
>>2278391
because she is nice and empatic person, unlike 4chan users
>>
>>2278391
You can ask her, she doesn’t really care about her at all. She is just disturbed by the cruelty of what you did to her. Kind of like seeing her turned inside out or something, it bothered Elen and she is requesting you make it right.
>>2278385
>>2278394
So that’s a no?
>>
>>2278398
We could do
>>2278394
This
>>
>>2278398
well, it is "no" as in "in truth we will not help nala". but we are not stupid so we will tell elen, that we will try but finding little fly which is who knows where is rather hard (unless she lands on our nose or something). For all we know she may be already dead by nomming (birds etc) or splatting (humans, horses, etc...)
>>
>>2278430
I dont know, after Nala she may be terrified of us again lol. Lets play it by ear.
>>
>>2278421
Well Ren is actually on the job of tending to the ship, under the belief that he’s going to be getting it working again. But which secret and stolen stuff are you interested in having the imps sort?
In the meantime you can grab Merryl and take her aside with the box, asking her to open it if she can. First though you leave the grounds for safety reasons, finding a spot in the woods nearby.
”Um... well ok, I can try to get it open yeah... but I need some privacy to um... work my power on it.”
You suppose that is only fair, if you’re giving her the chance to do so. She does seem insecure about her abilities, that it would be better for it. So you turn away for a bit, after which almost immediately you hear a smash and a clatter. Wheeling around, you see the box in pieces scattered across the ground, around a large rock. In a hurried action Merryl scoops up the contents and holds them out to you.
”I did it!”
How odd, it’s not much. Just some sort of... key-looking device? The rest of the box interior was cushioned with velvet to store it. A little disappointing, you were hoping for like a rare gemstone or fancy locket or something.
>>
>>2278433
Take it for Ren tl examine later
Then let's give Merryl another transformation! For a job well done!
>>
>>2278433
I... uhh...
Blink, shrug, pat her head.
"Good job. Now what is this thing?" carefully examine key(?), then pocket it and briefly look around if there wasnt more in the box.
Anyway, does it look familiar? Perhaps there is strange keyhole somewhere in the house? And yes, Ren may know.
> Ren and imps
well, he will appreciate little help? I just want to do some cleaning of crashsite so there are not bits and pieces of ship all over the place and the ship itself looks less inviting to curios eyes. Also lets bring Merryl back to house and then interrogate Ren as was written in wall of text.
as for >>2278442
we can upgrade merryl in the nighttime sex session, now just hug and kissu will do
>>
>>2278433
>imp sorting
we have stuff in secret room we still didnt go through, so just sort it so we can sell stuff we dont need and keep only truly valuable or uniq things
same goes for loot we stole from hwman#2, afaik we just dumped it somewhere and thats the end of it.
>>
>>2278442
>>2278443
Although you don’t know what the thing inside is, you still congratulate and thank Merryl for her work, affording her some affection. Although she’s more guarded against it, you sense for a moment some earnest happiness at it like how things may have been before.
In any case though you return to the house, in particular Ren while he works on the ship, and the imps gather up any debris. In between repairs he takes a look at what you’ve got and does his best to try and explain.
”Ah, that’s the igniter for the captain’s old ship. I thought he got rid of it though, where did you find this?”
He also attempts to answer your questions for him, like how there are at least two other old crew members but they keep to themselves and weren’t interested in following up on what became of the captain. He’s a bit short with you though, aggravated, and apologizes but has been annoyed all afternoon now by some buzzing fly that won’t leave him alone so naturally he’s distracted.
>>
>>2278487
Better watch out for those, those carry diseases
Ask him what made them believe we killed him after explaining ourselves? It was bad luck and bad timing and we genuinely were hoping to talk them out of all this
>>
>>2278487
Is advising him to splat the bug if it is so annoying against the contract with Nala? If not, advise away.
Otherwise just ask where that old ship may be parked and excuse ourselves (well, it was said he crashed it, but we never saw the wreckage and journals may lie).
also this is nice too >>2278503
>>
>>2278504
Yes it is. Ignore fly.
>>
>>2278503
>>2278504
Years and years living just fine, then they stop getting contact from him, and a bunch of people move into his house right away? And you even said yourself that he just up and died pretty much upon the lot of you meeting, and that he was got by wolves? You’d have to be pretty dumb to think there wasn’t foul play involved.
As for the old ship, he has no idea. As said, he thought the captain got rid of it, and maybe he did and just kept the key as a souvenir? If however the ship wasn’t gone or destroyed, he imagines it would have been hidden somewhere probably nearby. Maybe some info set aside for finding it?
That’s as much as he knows, in between swatting at the fly by the thing always being too elusive. Ah well, it will probably wear itself out eventually. If that’s all, Ren would like to get back to fixing the ship then.
>>
>>2279032
lets leave him then and continue home... what now, hm.
how about this?
> hellscape and imps get
>>2279056
Just upgrading the imp warren should provide us with what we need right?
>>
>>2279056
You let Ren alone to himself now then, rembering to return this night to get rid of him. Heading back to the house, some of the folks are having lunch, including the captive elf whom witnessed the pirate attack so is very worried and eager to leave. You can let Merryl to rejoin the others while you take to the secret room, finding the imps more or less ransacking the place to sort valuables. Most of it seems simple enough, though you realize you probably won’t be able to sell off all the old memorabilia to anyone with a lick of sense.
In any case you can get the fire going again and get back into contact with below, a number of the imps dropping what they’re doing to crowd around you and watch with awe. Creidhl again on the other side this time, with some news! Since last you made contact and gave a soul over, you wanted them to expand your domain? Well they most certainly have, and in the process attracted another two devils to your influence, as well as made contact again with an old demon ally of yours. Ah, but for the domain itself, what is it that they were able to claim? Outside the fort, that is;
>Hellish Fields
>Depraved Hills
>Forsaken City
>Nightmare Forest
>Profane Mountains
>Dark Crags
>Lost Ruins
>Blighted Desert
>Baleful Tundra
>Infernal Coast
>Blasphemous Waste
>Abyssal Edge
Or if you had something else in mind. Essentially, an idea of where your domain, and the fort, is actually located.
>>
>>2279194
>Lost Ruins
Not too big and attention grabbing, and might have cool shit.
>>
>>2279194
>Profane Mountains
Tourette Mountains? Weather is nice, but boy, when the wind start howling, you are in for a surprise...
bus srsly, I think this is nice, we reside in tropical paradise hell
>Infernal Coast
or something reeealy oldschool, like bigass cavernous system filled with sulphur and brimstone, screaming of damned souls, and when you finally get out all you can see is blood red sky, fire and flame is raining down upon you and so on
>>
>>2279215
Ruins indeed have a veil of obscurity, and may house some interesting things.
>>2279220
Mountains are quite dire and dangerous and lack much room for expansion (other than down) but they have immense potential resources.
Coast allows for the bounty and horrors of the infernal sea.
Or the other you mentioned, would be subterranean if you wanted that, that it would be another option. Note that not everywhere in the Hellscape is just fire and brimstone, it largely depends on the layer.
>>
>>2279236
>decisions
I thought all we are getting is background vibe of our place, now you are saying we will be playing hellish version ov civ game.. ah, decisions, decisions..
>other option
Well, it is oldschool. Oldschool has only one layer and it is just fire and poking mortals with a giant fork.
Anyway, for sake of progress, i am runnig with >>2279215 but lets tweak it.
> Tainted Ruins
Once upon the time this place was shining beacon of everything that was Light and Good. White marble everywhere, proud towers, singing birds and golden balustrades, laughing children and peace.
And then all of it went to hell, literally. Taint spread far and wide, white became eroded with pulsing veins of darkness and sinister thorny bushes entwined wholy city in its deadly embrace, its blood red man-eating blossoms blooming merrily and mocking everybody and everything from afar. Some parts of city still stand, other are no more than ruined pile of rubble. And in the very center, where cathedral once was, is our home.
>>
>>2279194
>Infernal Coast
Because coasts are nice
>>
>>2279291
I mean it’s mostly just for fun/flavor, but on some things, like if you want a mine for ore or whatever, obviously it’s going to be better in the mountains.
...unless you want some civ elements lol
>>
>>2279299
>civ elements
maybe after we get ourselves banished back to hell, right now it would be just giant pain in the ass
>>
>>2279311
Then yes, it’s mostly only for flavor and fun.
>>
>>2279339
Also I am going to duck out for a little bit, so make your decisions, also about the upgrades you want to make to the fort. Just a rough estimate;
>A soul can usually get you 2-3 upgrades (except domain expansion)
>Each level of upgrade costs more souls. So take the Warren, one soul included it with what you got. To upgrade it once would be one soul then, twice two souls, thrice three, and so on.
>Obviously, the more upgraded things are, the better benefits they provide.
>>
>>2279348
Whoops, correction; a soul can usually get you 2-3 improvements. Like the fort itself, and the warren, are both improvements. Upgrading improvements, are what take more and more souls.
>>
>>2279348
Well, it is past midnigt here so I am going to bed.
For what is worth, here is what I want to achieve with imps. Also, I have no idea huw much souls it will cost, so it is upon other anons to decide. I just want to really stress out that right now all humans need to do is be sufficiently high in the air and we can do shit about it:
> proper defense of our manor, which should consist of:
alarms - to warn us if something happens
aerial superiority - winged war imps, or something capable of devastating long range attack
guards - just our general purpose ims, human and dog disguise
> proper spying on humans
dogs are fairly limited, so some sort of inconspicuous small animal would be best. bird, bat, owl disguise is preferred here and corresponding sneky and abilities
> better helpers
mainly for human disguise so we dont need to worry about onlookers when we need to do something outside of house
>how should it work?
spy network is keeping an eye on the house, grounds and adjacent land, if something fishy happens they hit (silent) alarms and guards and war imps are set on high alert. If danger subsides, everything goes back to normal. If it escalates, alarms go off, guards go for capture and war imps for the kill (depends if we have attempted burglary on our hands or some righteous prick smiting everything around him)
------
>hell domain
I think our best bet right now are Tainted Ruins situated on the Infernal Coast
...and with that I am off, night anons
Ruins it is, and appropriately so. Time was, some great ancient cities stood upon the world as testament to mortal toils and divine glory. Some though weren't all perfect. One such city, Somorah, became such a beacon of depravity that even intervening angels could not save it. They wept above for those below, till the lament was so great, the Creator could not ignore it any longer and unleashed divine retribution and wroth upon the city and its inhabitants. Such was the destruction, and the utter rejection by the creator, that the city itself was blasted so mightily into the ground that the earth could sustain it no longer. Tearing beneath, the world spilled the contents of the city below, and in the mortal realm the place and the people merely vanished to the sand and rock and dirt.
But the truth is that the city fell into the very Hellscape itself. You remember that fateful time, and the sight of it falling from the world above, to scatter and land upon the various spinning rings of the inferno. The feeding frenzy so to speak, that came after of demons and devils upon the population of the city, was quite simply biblical to put. Enough souls and suffering to supp your infernal kind to fat contentedness for many ages to come. Eventually when it was that little of value remained in the city, most left to pastures of greater misery. You however, with some few, knew of yet still an untapped resource beyond just the mortal souls; the salt of angelic tears.
And so upon this blasted, fractured, accursed ruin, you staked your domain and to this day maintain and build your power.
>Now then, how many souls do you wish to spend, if any, on further improvements to your domain below?
>>
>>2279914
How many do we have and who do they belong to
>>
>>2279982
Well let's see;
>2 spent
>9 unspent, belonging to,
>Patrice, Ranolph, Natalie, Ren, Nala, Ordan, the other two orcs, and the forest bandit
>>
>>2280010
I can't remember if we maintained control over their previous owners if we consumed them so I'm voting using the orcs souls since they're already pretty loyal
>>
>>2280072
Of the spent souls, one of them is still living, Patrice’s ex lady friend. The other spent soul was the highwayman you killed.
But you want to use the three orc souls, on improvements?
>>
>>2280143
Only the two of the orcs Ordan brought
>>
>>2280158
Alright, and what are you seeking to improve? If it’s the warren, with two souls you can only upgrade it once since it would take three to upgrade twice.
>>
>>2280209
Warrens for better imps and one to unlock the armory
>>
>>2280209
I'll back >>2280255
>>
>>2280470
>>2280255
Warrens not a problem, and the armory? Very well then, you can pass over those two orcy souls and next time you contact your minions below you can expect those improvements to have been done.
Lastly then, do you want to trade for Merryl’s soul, or put it off still?
>>
>>2280512
Put it off a bit longer. In a day those 2 pirates will be dead, and we'll just need one more. Unless people want to trade the two souls of the living pirates for her.
>>
>>2280512
Nah, we don't have the three owner less souls yet
>>
>>2280577
Could just kill someone you own lol
But anyway, that seems enough for now then. You can conclude it here, and hope to check back later. Before you go however, Creidhl does want to bring one thing up, a minor problem that they’ve noticed. Although you have an open door policy more or less in your home towards imps, that they can come and go between the mortal realm and the Hellscape as often as they please and whenever you need them, it’s only good for about a day. They need to return eventually (even if it’s just for a short while and then return right back) or suffer maladies. Unless you set them to a proper task but even then it’s not all that long. However, in the warren record, a few have been noted as not returning, for far longer than should be possible. It’s only a minor concern really, not like imps can get up to much trouble and it’s not a case of them defecting or being stolen he doesn’t think, since everything is soundly within your domain. It’s just an oddity he noticed, and is curious about, what is the cause.
Well either way, it’s only about mid afternoon so plenty of day left, if that’s all you care to talk about with your minions below and want to get back to the day and routine.
>>
Which leaves more than enough time for dinner and this
But let's double check that there aren't any witnesses first.
>>
>>2280792
>>2280673
This far into the grounds, unless someone is trespassing there isn’t a chance they will see what’s going on around the house. You can’t even see the house from the front gate.
But just to be safe you can send out imps to scout, once returning upstairs. Again, Elen seeks you out and wants to know if you’ve made any progress about finding Nala or changing her back, clearly concerned. But you don’t care about any of that, and are content to while away the rest of the afternoon till evening. You have a rather scandalous revelry in mind for this night in celebration, probably the thing to consider is, who’s invited? The orcs probably wouldn’t mind but they are a bit beastly for some of your servants’ tastes, and any imps, well they have been doing a good job but they’re also a bit below anyone’s standing so to speak. And naturally, any demonic preparations, or just what the house has on store?
>>
>>2280823
Ask our friends who they want invited, Mila, Lucas, Merryl and Ordan
Also are both orcs male? Or one of each?
>>
>>2280853
One of each. Mila and Merryl suppose they don’t mind imps at least being around. Everyone else, well they might have friends but not exactly the sort you could invite to such a celebration. Both because the nature of it, and because at least one member is a demoness and there are imps around. Patrice and Ranolph might have made welcome participants, but it’s doubtful if they’ll even be here.
>>
>>2280884
I meant people from our immediate area aka estate grounds but iss cool
And invite the orcs on our behalf, they did just serve us in hell
Take special care of Lucas and Merryl, they our special ones
>>
>>2280911
Also they're not inviting Natalie right?
>>
>>2280913
Well it comes around after dinner at least, but it is quite the revelry indeed, salacious debauchery all around! Most everyone involved enjoys themselves, and make good on not needing to worry about compulsions for already being condemned or near enough. Nothing disturbingly depraved or nasty, but you all partake of plenty of drink and each other. Late into the night does the celebration last, till folks either pass out from exhaustion or drunkeness. Apart from being a little understaffed in the guy department, everything goes as well and as sinfully as you'd hope. And while things aren't so amazing as to warrant a routine or unlock some hidden potential, the goal of improving spirits and devotion is certainly met. Not to mention your own personal enjoyment, able to participate as your true self without need of disguise. Also for what it's worth, between the lot of you, you managed to coax the elf into getting a little involved at least. Not like she's jumping over herself to sign her soul away, but maybe being a temporary captive doesn't have to be all bad, when there's such pleasures and company to be had.
It's early next morning you awake, trying to climb out from under some arms and legs, feeling quite content with things as you admire your sinful handiwork, and contemplate the fate of the pirates now with a day having passed. That can wait though, for now things look quite comfy and inviting here, at least just another drink first before you commit to anything further.
>>
>>2281197
Oh
I completely forgot about the elf, we could've had our third ownerless soul from her. How bout a contract? I don't have anything good and I'm about to go to sleep, unfortunately
Check on Merryl too! did she like our changes? Ask how she liked the celebrations and stuff
Also is Nala dead yet? And let's kill Ren now! Or ask someone to do it
>>
>>2281197
get presentable and check on Elen, house, etc.
Also talk to Elen abou Ren. We obviously lack proper moral compass (or more likely we need to tune ours to mortal world standards), and while we try our best, we slip a lot. So, Elen, what should we do with Ren? We still thinks he needs to be punished and we are definitely not going to start our own pirate party, so helps us. Please, what should we do?
Basically drag her into scheming, make her part of family, perhaps even our moral compas so she feels like she is needed and appreciated, and we do want to be better person and we rely on her.
And if she mentions Nala, we did ritual after orgy (these things temporary empower us, it IS technically a sinful behaviour after all) but still no dice here. Either she is somewhere on the grounds and background "radiation" is interfering or she is gone. Sad face.
>>2281208
Lets wait with elf a bit, just seduce her via our friends for now.
Merryl talk after Elen.
>>
>>2281208
You changed her? How so?
And just a hint, but blatantly straight up offering a contract to the elf, is not going to work.
>>2281215
You can throw on a dressing gown to wander about the house in, as you seek out Elen. She’s still asleep though so you fix up some food in the meantime for when she does stir.
Eventually a couple folks here and there get up, but some just have a few more drinks, use the bathroom, and then seek out a bed for a proper rest. Elen though you call over specifically to talk, though she’s clearly groggy. It’s a bit much to shove on her so early, a deep moral discussion, but eventually she settles on letting you know that she probably won’t be sticking around in the end, after the situation with Nala. She understands you had your reasons, and she doesn’t judge you for them, but in the end it’s just not something she can reconcile to serve you under if you take such approaches. For Ren? Well, after her confessing to you her feelings, she doesn’t imagine why you would still want to know, but she doesn’t much care what happens to him and you could kill him without her concern. Already you made your case about why you want to treat the pirates the way you did. They posted a danger to you and yours, so you want them to pay; she agreed before and she agrees now... assuming you don’t do something like go turning Ren into a bug.
>>
>>2281197
Also, how corrupted Elen is right now, do we have some sway over her? Or how effective is our button-pressing ability on her? I think in this case we should touch her mind a little bit and tweak her opinion about whole Nala Question. I dont want to loose just because she thinks we are doing horrible things to our enemies.
>>
>>2281253
Oh she is very corrupt by now, especially after last night. You can try to roll to manipulate her at this point, if you like.
>>
>>2281252
>Merryl
He probably wanted tp push her into 8/10 territory (it is fine by me)
>elen
We want her opinion because we care, duh... And if she feels this way we are saddened but we understand, of course.
And, well, this >>2281253
Can we turn her around by slow and gentle mindrape?
>>2281263
welp, I want to change her opinion to stay and be happy with us, so realization what we did to Nala actually doesnt bother her should do the trick? Perhaps turn a teeny tiny bit sadictis and kinky? Not sure what will suffice here, but I want to do minimal intrusion here, so Elen is still Elen and not some sort of crazy psycho.
>>
>>2281268
Althrough having bitchy dominatrix in da house would be funny
>>
>>2281268
Probably do that to her while she’s still asleep then.
For Elen, make a roll for the attempt! As corrupt as she is though, you can get a feel as you talk with her. It seems that her issues about what happened to Nala aren’t so much the horror of it, but rather that you didn’t relent when she asked you to. Probably she made a judgement call, on what kind of master you were, after that and made her own decision over loyalty.
Maybe, as corrupt as she is you could still sway her to personal loyalty. But it seems like a safe bet that she isn’t going to be interested in bringing anyone else she knows into the fold. That missionary plan? Yeah not so much, anymore.
>>
>>2281263
Also, before I roll, was Elen participating in the orgy or not?
>>
>>2281296
She was involved, which is why, how corrupt she is now after that, your influence over her is so strong.
>>
Rolled 68 (1d100)
>>2281297
Allrigt, rolling. Her personal loyalty and soul should be more than enough, and if we will succesfully sway her and she gives up her soul, we can do full personality rewrite. I would rather not, but such is a life.
Anyway, lets do the deed while talking about whatever is interesting to her, let her talk and just listen and nod. And perhaps we may give her long surprise kiss full of passion and longing (if she asks wtf, the answer is "because you just looked absolutely beautiful, silly") for even moar corruption to help us.
>>
>>2281309
>68 that is enough... right?
>>
>>2281309
>68
Weeell when you put it that way... you don’t really win her over to servitude, but maybe she’ll stall awhile longer and not leave right away. She maintains though, even after the surprise kiss, that she doesn’t feel like she can devote herself to you and certainly not lure others into doing so. A patron who doesn’t heed followers, isn’t one she or most pagans she knows, would follow.
>>
Damn, looks like it just me in the thread...
>>2281334
Meh, we mediocre demoness.
Time for backup plan:
1) just start listening to her, talk to her, and actually show effort that we took our conversations to heart and try to do better. Our followers so far were mostly demons and devils and with them one must use force always, all the time. (doesnt matter truth may be different, we actor now)
2) do more influencing and mind manipulation from behind, start changing her opinions but do it slowly, when she is not looking, when she is sleeping, through her dreams. Twist her desires and wants into what suits us, mellow her outlook, tone down her resolve and stubborness (towards us, at the very elast).
>>
>>2281361
Well that’s a working plan with progress overtime. What about for today, moving forward? Needless to say, most everyone is going to be out of commission till after noon probably.
>>
>>2281365
yeah, that the plan, to take it slowly and that it wil take some time (dunno if you will be bringing it to foreground every time to play it or things will progress on their own mostly in background tho, my point is to set this thing into active state and let it ruSn partirally independ on what we are doing in foreground - like, "look, it is suddenly elen just walking over here, hit her with corruption and thoughts and move on, no need to write about it lenghty post")
>today...
We murder Ren, of course!
Single him out, and tell him to:
Final interrogation about crewmembers, his and Nalas home, their families, friends etc (he will answer us this time, and we need to know if somebody special will come here to search for Ren and Nala. Also if their homes are not occupied, we should rob them in the future)
You have knife? If not, here is one.
Go to the woods, as deep and far as you can.
Talk to no one, avoid anyone, dont stop.
At the dusk, kill yourself. This is your ultimate goal - you must die at the end of the day. After that, seeking your death will be the singular thing in your mind forever.
You are not to reveal anything about what happpend here, who are you, where did you come from... etc...
just stuff his head with compulsions and commands so he will disappear forever
>>
>>2281392
Sure, and overtime you can check up and see how Elen is doing with your influence.
Anyway as for Ren, wouldn’t it be easier just to kill him yourself? Then you can dispatch the body without a trace.
now just a quick question...
> orc souls
we spent 1 on warren upgrade and wirh second one we bought only Armory? Orcs are really that crappy? (usually we can build 2-3 things from nothing)
...and back to action:
>>2281421
>>2281594
Lets combine it then. We interrogate Ren, check if nobody is looking, break his neck and burn the body in hellfire. After that we are free to do other things, namely
> the ship
since pretty much everybody is still sleeping, we must entertain ourselves. Check the ship for valuables and other interesting stuff (cannons get, etc), clear it with imps, and then it is decision time
1) keep it, repair it, build a shed for it to keep it safe and out of reach of prying eyes
2) burn it, destroy evidence in hellfire and act like there was never a ship to begin with (i prefer this)
> after we are done with this, lets head into the secret room
skim through now sorted stuff and check it
later we may ask Lucas, Mila and one of the orcs if they are willing to travel to town and sell all the junk we dont need or want (and is safe to sell, ofc)
>>
>>2281421
Were the repairs made?
>>
>>2281685
She asked you to do something and you didn’t. What it was didn’t matter that much, just the fact that it didn’t. And yes, the repairs were made.
>>2281594
>>2281610
For the orc souls I decided to append the mechanic, because I realized that in no time at all you could kit out the entire fort. As a tradeoff though, I made it so that upgrades don’t take more and more souls either. So now everything is just 1:1, for your average soul at least.
Anyway, so you bed Elen adieu for now as she too will probably go back to bed for awhile but thanks you at least for the food made. Drawing your gown close then as you make your way through the house, you cherish a deep breath of the damp morning air, a light rain falling. Traipsing barefoot across the wet grass, you manage to reach the downed air ship where Ren (not having partied himself last night) is up and about already and greets you. Still some work to do he says, but he’s fine as always to talk.
In particular you ask about him and Nala, where they came from and any family, friends that might come looking for them? Well for Nala he can’t say since they lived separate, but his family if they’re still alive are all up above. A few surface dwelling friends but he didn’t tell them where he was going and wouldn’t consider them close enough to come looking, so good luck there that it seems Jacques’s habit of lying low after piracy was somewhat consistent. You can also get an idea of where they lived, before you thank him for everything and ask for a hand aboard. Once up and while his attention is elsewhere, you just grab a hammer and quickly deliver a strike to the back of his head. One or two more do the trick, and a quick toss overboard followed by a burst of green fire, and nothing remains of Ren. Before searching him that is. Among his clothes, and the pile left by Nala, you find a few weapons, some loose coinage, meaningful personal belongings, and if you’d like to you can roll for anything potentially special. After that a check of the ship as well. Obviously a number of cannons, six total, some complicated machinery, a small array of arms, and likewise a second roll if you’d like (2d100s).
A search of their clothes doesn’t warrent much more value than a magic ring Nala had. Searching the ship though, you find a very complicated and finely made piece of machinery, some sort of navigation device. You’ve no idea what the purpose of it is or how to use it, but you can tell it’s obviously magical and that it could fetch a hefty price to the right buyer. As well, you find a number of aerial maps of the region, and a large list of what appear to be shipping charts and schedules? Could be useful if you ever had a need to track aerial routes.
In any case, you want to destroy the ship then? Some grand pyre outside?
>>
>>2282249
>grand pyre
as long as nobody sees it, I guess? No idea if giantic hellfire can be observed from outside the grounds. Or burn it in smaller steps/parts. At any rate strip it clean and lets cart all the loot to secret room in da house.
Very well then, you can disassemble the ship down to a more manageable size, and burn the constituent parts. The whole thing doesn’t take more than an hour maybe with imp help.
Finally, apart from their valuables, which the imps are carting off, no more sign of the pirates.
Might make Elen feel better, but anyway, so torment her till death? How delightfully evil and characteristic. Those dumb mortals, even your “friends”. Would that you were to return to the Hellscape, you’d not hesitate for a moment to resume torturing and tormenting them for all eternity.
>>
Feeling satisfied then, and letting out a little sigh, you get back up and return to the house. Some folks now are starting to stir a little more properly, the elf among them. You can go and pester her for her soul, how would you like to pitch that? And make a roll for it as usual.
You can get to talking, her name is Ciliren. She’s obviously nervous and uncomfortable about what happened last night and enjoying it though so you don’t get too far. You can at least be on a talking basis however, and learn more about her. An ranging elf from one of their settlements, she got caught by the bandit while hunting a white stag. You sense a lot of pride in her over this, enough to explain why she’s out so far away from home. She’s quite old (though elves live a long time) so after already having seen to conventional responsibilities and things like family life, in the last few years she’s taken after ambitions she had but couldn’t before and one such was always being a hunter enough to bring a good name to her father for it. A white stag for example would have been perfect, but she got sidetracked and caught.
Though, as evidenced by last night, in the same vein of living for herself now, she considerd trying something different in Lucas, a human guy.
>>
>>2282795
"White stag? Why is it so significant? And Lucas is sweet guy, bless his soul" (not to mention his... prowess).
Now let her just talk and open up, maybe grab some coffe/tea/wine and just chill and make her feel welcome here. And we will learn about her dreams in the meantime. How corrupt is she btw?
>>
>>2282821
Supporting
>>
>>2282821
>>2282856
Curious about her hunting, she tries to explain that a white stag is significant to elven culture for being a sign or a crossover from their departed parent or mentor race. In theory something like a white stag if caught, would provide one insight into that otherworld. For her purposes though it would be for the immense honor to her father.
She has to agree though, mistakenly believing human guys in general to have his prowess as you put it. You even sense some feelings in her, not like she’s fallen head over heels in love, but he’s new and exciting and she’s taken a shine to him. An infatuation no doubt, but it always feels real in the moment, right? In any case your ploy works and she definitely eases up in sitting and talking with you, a pleasant drink greatly assisting. She even notes how she was terrified at first, but in actuality you’re surprisingly civil and benevolent for a demon. Well, to those you consider friends, not the pirates obviously. You share a decent conversation and get to know one another, though her asking about you and your situation prompts you to be truthful or not.
She isn’t that corrupt, elves are one of those races that are resistant because of their immense age (usually) among other things, and she wasn’t so bold as to fully shed her inhibitions and indulge herself the previous night. But there’s some corruption creeping in the cracks, and you at least are able to get a sense of her and feel things about her.
>>
>>2282885
Interesting. Perhaps she can tell us more about elven beliefs and culture? It seems different from heaven-hell thing we stem from. Call it professional curiosity from our side.
Subtly encourage her pursue of Lucas, we dont mind (if it wasnt rather obvious last night) and he is definitely one of a kind.
As for our civility to friends vs hostility to enemies, well... They were shooting indiscriminately from goddamn cannons. In the hindsight, punishment of Nala was a little bit too much, but they were murderers. All we want is nice life with friends and family around and for the world to leave us alone, but if somebody tries to mess with us or ours, we will retaliate. And because we are demon, it will probably be nasty. But we love the mortal world and being nice is just so easy and natural... We may even tell her few horror stories from hell to drive the point home.
Also, if she is asking how come we are here and free to do whatever, I guess we can give her slightly doctored version ov our past. Some idiot wummoned us and then killed himself, we met Lucas, went to Rocheau, met the pirate captain who invited us over and then died in most stupid way possible. it seems we attract accidents, and because we are demon, noody believes us. it is frustrating... then nala and ren appeared and rest is history.
And when we are done with elf, we should instruct Lucas that somebody is interested in him and after that we must grab few imps and order them to go and find those missing ones. And be careful about it, who knows what happened to them.
Also I am going to bed in a few, so here are some questions before I leave.
> we are lesser demon, if/when we gather enough souls, do we became something more automatically or we must go back to hellscape first? (subsequently, with our current tally and soul quality, how much do we need to gather to be promoted?)
> we have a contract saying we cannot kill our victim or the thing is void. we eat (or trade) victims soul, then kill him. what happens? soul in question is no longer in existence or in our possesion.
> and for clarification - if we eat normal soul, power boost from it is permanent (unlike with stolen soul which is more like sudden burst of adrenalin and wont last)?
>>
It’s strictly a cultural belief, but according to them, elves are descended or were created by a mentor race, what they refer to as high elves and you realize humans and other races might call fey. More or less, between the high elves and ancient humans intermingling, the conventional elves came to be. The high elves departed from the world though, but the elves believe they can still be contacted or sought after in various ways, kind of like how some pagan beliefs have spirit journies believers go on. Although the elves have their own faiths or follow “mainstream” ones (like your own), separate of that they venerate their ancestors and supposedly those whome believe in them more than just legends and seek them out, can be with their elder kin in the afterlife. Cili laughs though and says she’s sure it’s all just stories, again she doesn’t seek the stag or some great beast for faith reasons, just honor.
Which is fine by you, something like that can be put off. Especially if she’s in the mindset of living for herself for this new period in her life. Perfect, for you to subtly encourage her to pursue feelings for Lucas. Between this, you jaw over the matter with the pirates which she can understand but is still just surprised how stark the duality between kind and cruel is with you between friends and enemies. Nothing wrong, just a significant surprise. Same with explaining your own story of how you’re here. She clearly appreciates your honesty with her, and can empathize with your situation. Certainly it is reassuring to her, to know that you’re seeking a new take on life (like her) and that you’re not all bad and considering changing your ways. Maybe not turning good? But different, and that counts.
In any case she thanks you for the conversation, and for the hospitality and welcoming nature. Things seemed bad at first to be caught like she was, but all things considered you’ve been very accomodating and tolerant of her compared to how things could have been. She’s not getting down on one knee to pledge her life, and she probably won’t stick around much longer, however she would very much like to return if your doors are open. Maybe even be convinced to re-base herself here to live out of.
>>
>>2283132
Nice
But goddammit we need her soul
Let's take this day to go in the city and buy alchemy supplies for Merryl so she can start making things to sell
A teacher for us both would also be good, roll?
>>
>>2282969
>>2283132
So bidding her well, and giving her a chance to go through the (very late) morning routine and get dressed and ready for the day, you figure Lucas is next. A quick search finds him passed out in bed, even after everyone else is getting up and about for a late breakfast. Crawling over the mess of covers, you play and poke and prod with him for awhile till he stirs and gives you his strained attention. You’re there to deliver some good news about Cili, but Lucas himself pleads with you. He’s seen how you were able to improve Ordan, and asks if there isn’t anything you could do to help him with his performance so to speak. Because he doesn’t mind being the man, or the stud of the house, not at all. But while you were having your fun with the orcs last night, he was left to occupy the rest of the ladies, without help. Doubly so considering you assigned Patrice and Ranolph to working, basically back to their old lives again. Mila often enough? Sure, they get along. Merryl too? Fine, he’s gotten used to it. But after last night, are you trying to kill him? He of course doesn’t know your purpose for him, in part resident stud, but he can sort of guess overtime. Even so, after last night and the realization of that much more interest in him, he’s afraid he’s not up to such a daunting task, try as he might. Just look at him now, he’s got nothing left if they have any idea of it being a regular thing. He wouldn’t have even brought it up to anyone, you’re the only person he is close enough with to confide in about it and even so he worries to let anyone down.
Awww, poor boo boo. Can’t handle the sinful torments? What ever are you to do with him? Maybe leave him to be loved to death, a fitting torture and you relish the idea of such a sinful fate.
>>2283042
Improving your own demonic stance, climbing the hierarchy is possible, though it may not be possible without returning to the Hellscape. However it is worth considering whether doing so, as the higher and more infernally authoritative you become, the more it will change you personally. Now you wouldn’t turn down the chance to become the ruler of the abyss for example, but you know higher and arch demons, and you know how strange and conflicted they become.
As for soul contract, it would still be binding. If you wanted them dead after, you’d have to find some way of that happening not by your hand. And yes, power boost from a normal soul is permanent.
>>
>>2283195
Tell him last night was a rarity, he won't need to worry for a while.
Considering their resistances, are elf souls worth more than human souls?
Finally, how about we kill off forest bandit, and trade his soul along with the 2 pirates souls for Merryl's. That is, if people still refuse to kill her.
>>
So, I probably skipped some of the last posts, but I came up with a plan and desides to share it with you.
As I understand it, we have a ship, and unending army of imps, an orc at our service, and a vampire ally.
So, whit this resources, I think we can take control over the city.
>Serve for us in life or Slave for us in death.
Orcs have a martial culture, we should upgrade our orc servant so that he can take control over the other orc. No only should we improve him physically, but we should also make him a better strategist, so he can deal with the logistics and plans a general would have to deal with.
We should make this orcs into our servants, and improve them with our powers.
Imps, they are kind of cannon fodder, but we can use them smartly, by having them being our industry and/or attacking the enemy from within.
We should get logistic, aka, weapons and armour produces, be it by using forges in hell, gaining control over one, or as a joint effort with some contact of the vampire (the imps would make perfect workers). This could let us equip our armies, by them of imps, corrupted orcs, or corrupted humans, with, at least, decent equipment.
And then there is our vampire contact, which will be indispensable. As we are now, we have problems getting people to sing contacts because doing so means eternal damnation, but as you should probably have guessed by the title, with help of our ally we can transform the choices into 'eternal damnation' or 'eternal servitude'. As most will probably chose to keep their minds to some level, we should let the vampire have some either way, to keep things fair.
Lastly, there is our ship, which should be ideal for reicognance and giving orders (we can increase our voice, right? If not, imps can fly.) Besides, I am the only one that wants to make hellfire cannons?
Now, there is a problem with this. Namely, divine retribution. Using all of this to take over a city if that dude above just nukes it like nothing. For this, we can either use power from our allies in hell to shield the cities, or maybe even reverse engine the salt from angel tears? Maybe holy power has more problems going through divine barriers.
And it maybe will be a good idea to wait until we can theorically take control of more than one city, and attack others besides our own. (You know, vampires like their contacts)
This plan is made with taking the cities, not destroying them.
OP, maybe, once we take control of a city, can we summon a lot of deamons/make permanent or temporary portal to the hellscape? That is one of the only ways I can think of standing against the army of the one above, or could we disappear if the radar and start somewhere else if the city is nuked?
>>
>>2283195
Last night was to celebrate so it won't be common, but if he really wants it:
He has to promise no sudden outbursts like that one time with Merryl and to keep his dick in check while working
But first he'll have to go through a trial period, if he passes we give him what we wants, if he fails he has to try again after a certain period of time
And gib kissu
>>2283227
I was also thinking about that, we can kill him and we wouldn't break the contract
>>
>>2283234
There are a lot of issues with your plan.
>>2283240
Did we sign a binding contract with him? I thought we just said we'd be a little nicer when he was dead and under our eternal control, but even that wasn't binding.
>>
>>2283253
His soul is ours so we must have right?
>>
>>2283268
Nah, we can grab with just a verbal agreement, even one that doesn't bind us.
>>
>>2283282
Then we can just kill him, we can convince the elf to stay to replace him
Let's bring Ordan alone to help
>>
>>2283299
Why bring Ordan? Plus I'm not sure we can convince the elf, or if convincing the elf is worth it.
>>2283195
Did we upgrade Ordan's buddies to be near Ordan tier? We should, and then send them out to recruit more orcs. They seem fairly willing to sell their souls for power.
>>
>>2283316
So he can do the job, we struggled with the old man and the soul eating boost isn't permanent irrc
Also i think we already did upgrade the orcs
>>
>>2283324
We didn't have the old mans soul.
>>
>>2283337
I know, i meant struggled with killing, i just wanna feel safe man
>>
>>2283342
The bandit is under our absolute control. We can order him to bash his own head open on a rock and he'll do it. Plus we're holding like 10 souls right now, we have a lot more personal power than we used to.
>>
Ducking out for a bit, just a heads up.
>>
>>2283362
Oh yeah
I forgot
>>
Alright, back now. Let me catch up.
>>
>>2283227
No souls are any greater or worse in true value, all are equal in the eyes of the Lord. However, Elf souls may be more resistant in some cases, so they may be less corrupt than your comparable human soul. It depends on the individual, and their age usually.
>>2283240
Well the reason he went overboard studly speaking, is because you had amped up his libido across the board. He could promise as you wish, though really he's just needing more endurance, better physicality if you're willing. But he'll take whatever he can get, and agree to whatever you need him to.
>>2283253
You could have done just a verbal exchange, physical gesture like a handshake, or a wager for his soul, but you went overboard and actually got a contract for him as well.
>>2283316
>>2283324
You improved the orcs some but not to Ordan's level, so that there's not a risk of them overthrowing him, unless you want that to happen. They're all very fit, very tough now, Ordan is just the pinnacle of what an orc fellow could naturally, possibly attain, without resorting to supernatural means or otherwise. Basically the most he could be without drawing suspicion.
But anyway, you want to go and kill the forest bandit now then to have three ownerless souls? Like was already said, you don't really need help. Could change him back and kill him personally as you are, or just change him into a mouse or something and stomp on him.
>>
>>2283963
Nah, just bash his head in with a stone or whatever heavy object there's on hand
Then traaaaaaade
>>
>>2283234
A lot of things in this post have already been done, however some of them have been removed from possibility, like the ship now having been destroyed.
It's not an impossible plan, there's just some road bumps for it. Like the vampire, she isn't going to be interested in upsetting the status quo too much. As well, a full out demonic incursion to a major town, is going to draw attention from all over. The risk of some "divine nuke" though is null, unless you break any divine rules which nothing really you described does. Though you can expect counteractive measure from the church, minor faiths, and whatnot.
You did have a totally valid idea for the imps though. As said before, you can totally put them to work and there's so many, if you were to make some sort of industry they could maintain unmatched productivity.
>>
>>2283978
Well he's a horse, you'll have a harder time of it. Inevitably though you can kill him. So you kiss Lucas goodby for now, and say you'll think about improving him later. For now you can head back outside to the stable, and do the deed. With the bandit dead, you have three ownerless souls now, so back to the secret room I take it?
>>
>>2283990
Yesssssssssss
>>
>>2283994
You can slink off to the secret room again then, finding many imps inside now compiling the extra added loot from recent endeavors, though getting to see a Hellscape conversation is always entertaining to them as they gather around and you strike a flame.
"Mistress Amman! How very much worse things are now, talking to you! I hate it! Oh but I must say, with all the help you are providing to us, we are sure to attain ultimate ruination! I always knew you were the worst, what a horrible choice I made to follow you!"
A delighted scream on the other end, your dutiful devil follower. She looks much better than last time, no doubt due to not being constantly under attack and starved for supplies. No less happy though, always as vibrant as hellfire.
Regardless, you ask how things are, the good news that the previous upgrade having been attained now; the first level of the warrren, and armory cleared out and put back to work. Furthermore you go over the matter of trading the souls for Merryl's. For once she is less than enthusiastic, though not one to complain, she just hopes this one soul is worth three. But she will carry out the deal herself, for you.
"Anything else you are in need of, Mistress?"
>>
>>2284039
Eta on the deal? So we can check back as soon as possible
>>
>>2284066
Time isn't equivalent between here and there, you could "hang up" the communique, and as soon as you remake contact it would be done. Assuming everything goes as planned of course.
>>
>>2284071
Oh dayum
Then
Um
Let's hang out with Merryl for a few, be friendly and stuff (Ask how her day has been, anything interesting happening, feeling well) then come back
After the exchange i can make a plan to burst out the news!
>>
>>2284094
For now then you hang up, and go to find Merryl. She's up and about by now, currently trying to help some imps with fixing a broken window, one of the few repairs they're having difficulty with.
She's responsive to your approach though, and says how things are well, how she's feeling fine after last night. A pleasant enough exchange just to see how she's doing, before returning to the secret room. Sure enough upon starting back up the fire, there's Uengwian back from a thankfully successful trade and possessing a soul contract. With the passing through you check it over, and what a relief to find that it is indeed Merryl's. Finally after all this time, you've got hers back, no more worries about risks from other demons or possessions. Now... what to do with her soul?
>>
>>2284145
>>
>>2284272
>>
>>2284281
Well you tell her of the surprise and when you have some privacy together, you present this ultimate gift. She caught off guard and doesn’t know what to make of it at first, thinking it might be a trick or she’s imagining things. When you assure her the truth and she gets to check for herself though, she breaks down crying, and eventually throws her arms around you and thanks you dearly. At least you think she does, she’s rather incoherrent in her joy and relief. So thankful that she doesn’t even focus on her own soul, just you and expressing her gratitude.
You present her with the choice, but she’s so exasperated that she doesn’t feel it would be right for her to make that choice and defers to you without question. You can sense of course that she wants it but would never say, presuming herself to be able make a call like that to you. In any case you’ve never seen her so happy before, to be free of her former captor.
But is IS true we are sorta kinda bringing more and more girls into harem, so more endurance and and some dominant thoughts would not hurt. Also tweak his libido into "lusty sex machine" into "ready to help his mistresses and lovers in need but doesnt think with his cock when bare breasts are shown"
And pls dont desoul him guis.
>>2283234
>army get, city conquer
Taking over city would not provoke much of a reaction from divine, there is no need when you have whole world full of pissy priests ready to go medieval on your ass. We are demon so anytime we reveal ourselves to anybody who is at least somewhat competent, they will go all smity on our ass. Hence our diplomatic and covert approach to most things.
Having army is definitely possibility and leading everything from the shadows is probably doable, but it means abandoning everything and becoming demonic version of Xena. I dont think other anons want that atm. Also OP pointed out the rest of flaws.
>imps
I want little buggers to do many things for us, that is why i want warren upgraded, so we can have spies, battle imps, ninjas, workers... oooh the possibilities
>>2283994
>>2284272
>>2284306
Ok, lets hold on her soul for now before Merryl is somewhat coherent again. Menwhile just enjoy being "big sis" and comfort her.
As for changes... the usual "you dont talk about demon club" package, then depends. Can we turn her from adorably incompetent to adorably badass? In very cute way?
Also ducking out for now, werk time.
>>
>>2284306
Umm and I didnt notice but we did instruct imps to find other missing imps, right? Dis kinda important boss.
>>
>>2284597
Not sure what you mean by the changes you have in mind with Merryl. Lucas though you can see to later, though since you don’t own his soul the changes will take more time.
>>2284317
>>2284603
You can see about the imps after this, for now you have a need to ride into town. However, along with supplies, you may also want to buy a horse. The bandit is gone now and even then he wasn’t enough for the amount of transport needed around here. But it’s only about afternoon so you can be into town and back by nightfall. Make a roll. Also you can take one person along with you that isn’t an orc (too big and heavy for your horse) if you like, just for the outing. Maybe not Merryl if you want this to be a surprise, as well as give her a chance to think things over about her soul. But anyone is fair game, for nice little trip to town.
Well, I was thinking something along the line of pumping her self-esteem up to healthy level, giving her a touch of boldness, making her more focused and intelligent, overall lowering her tendencies to cause disastrous accidents by not thinking while maintainig her playful adorable innocence. Or something like this
>Lucas
sure, we will change him in steps
>Town
bring Lucas and money then, also some safe-to-sell stuff from our hoard(s)
we are getting:
alchemy things for merryl (books and stuff)
new horse (or two, three? depends on the price)
cart/wagon (but maybe not, i believe we already got one but we lack only horses)
parchment and proper writing/caligraphy supplies
anything else that strikes our fancy
>>
>>2284685
Use Merryls soul to change her incompetence into supercompetence.
>>
>>2285020
We can get her self-esteem up without without needing magic
Also let's not forget the teacher, books are good and all but nothing beats a good alchemist/healer to learn from
>>
>>2285573
We are not going to teach her ourselves and play proper big-almost-sister?
Also what will that teacher have to say about demoness, I wonder... But I guess some hell-specific materials with uniq properties may tickle his/her fancy.
>>
>>2285640
But we don't know anything, we could learn with our special quick demon learning but i feel like getting an actual teacher would be better
Or we could learn first with private classes then buy what we need and *then* teach and molest Merryl
>>
>>2285653
I am ok with either, I just assumed we want to learn with her / teach her alone.
>>
>>2284699
>>2285020
>>2285239
Consider, if you chage her so significantly, is she still Merryl?
Anyway, you decide to take Lucas into town. A nice chance to spend time together and be close with “your man”. Plus as physically close as you’ll be for the ride there and back, you can improve him in short order rather than having to take time over days. He’s not too enthusiastic about getting up and about, but you act ever so sweet and convince him it will be nice, and worth it.
So together with your horse, you make the trip into town by afternoon. No need to pen it if you’re just wandering around together, so you go on the search for the goods you have need of. Alchemy goods for Merryl, though she normally doesn’t use them, an extra horse and wagon you can afford for now, maybe more later, and writing things.
If there is anything else you care for you can specify, though on the matter of a teacher, are you trying to hire them into service for you or just seeking to learn from them? It goes without saying that hiring, could make things risky about you being found out.
>>
>>2286568
Nah just learn from them, with classes and stuff or as an assistant
>>
>>2286568
I don't want her to still be Merryl. I want her to be useful.
>>
>>2286568
>>2285020
To be honest I'm not that down for changing her
Merryl is our cute little incompetent Witch
And now we have her soul! No need to worry about her or change her, she's safe now and will probably change on her own in time
>>
>>2286705
>>2286620
Not saying you shouldn’t or can’t change her, just that it sounds like some people want to completely reinvent her into a totally different person. Well at that point, why not just get another person?
Anyway for a teacher or as an assistant role, what sort are you looking for? The biggest, fanciest most successful alchemist? Some back alley mixer? Maybe give an idea what you’re after, and roll to see if there’s anything like that in Rocheau.
You can locate a decent enough alchemist at their store, yeah. They’re not the best in town, but for offered pay he’d be willing to teach you, though you can sense that he doesn’t have much faith in you accomplishing anything. The good news is that if he were a much better alchemist, he probably would have ways of telling your nature, so just hope no one notices, and catches.
But on the weekends, sure, you and Merryl could stop by to learn. Though of course you know that you could probably spend like three days tops, and already learn more than he does about the craft.
>>
>>2286849
Sounds good. Also remake Merryl. I put up with not killing her and even traded away three souls for this, the least you guys could do is not leave her a useless failure.
>>
>>2286861
Fair point. If you were to and had free reign over her, what would you want the end result of her to be? Because assuming you give back her soul, it will be much harder to change her afterward. Basically a shopping list if you like for her, otherwise will just go off some suggestions seen overtime.
Well while you finalize any plans for Merryl, you can take care of the rest of your business in town, and then return for back home. Things to do there of course too, and you'll be back by nightfall.
Make a roll!
>>2288380
Oh dear! On the way home, you and Lucas encounter a few trolls having ransacked a group of halflings and their wagons. Having eaten the draw boars to the wagons, they hail you down and ask if you would be willing to part with your horses? It's a lot to ask and a little annoying to you personally having only just bought them, but they'd be willing to trade for anything within reason. Rather than having to carry all the halflings personally of course, they'd want to load them into a wagon, and realized too late they probably shouldn't have eaten the boars.
>>
>>2288430
What do they have aside from the halflings?
>>
>>2288452
Well they have the loot from the halflings. These are trolls though, they're not exactly stupid, but they are very simple in their preferred logic so most anything you could ask of them if they think it fair, they'd be willing to give. Along with a 97 in bargaining, or convincing, what have you.
>>
>>2288464
I mean
Any *details* on what they have?
>>
>>2288532
In terms of possessions? Not much out of the ordinary, just a huge amount of high quality and valuable foodstuffs and drink which the halflings were transporting. If you want someone smashed though they can do that for you.
>>
>>2288588
Eh, no thanks
>>
>>2288683
Very well then, you can leave them be and return home. Already nightfall when you arrive, how do you want to proceed with things to do at home?
>>
>>2288734
Tell Merryl we'll be taking classes, see what's everyone up to and check on the elf, see if she's feeling social
>>
About Merryl, why not a compromise?
Can't we just make her LEARN faster?
And other things that I want to change from her, make her prettier, as much as it is natural, or even more so, with appropriate clothes for her, unless there is any serious secondary effect.
Make her stronger. Not too much, not even too human, but letting her defend herself or run faster can't hurt.
Improve her mental capacity, aka, make her smarter. Not wiser, smarter, so that she is still Merryl. You know, letting her think faster or have greater memory. Nothing overly so, but enough to let her improve herself more easily.
We also need to talk with her, explain to her what the trust and power we give to her means and the responsibility they carry.
I am willing to try and fix her incompetence if giving her the tools to improve herself and some serious talks aren't enough.
Now, I think we can make this worth it, by using Merryl as advertising. There must we other mage and witches out there, right? Well, if they entrust their souls to us, we can use them to improve them, let her reach new hights in magic, and improve on the fields that they haven't improved without effort, like their bodies.
If Merryl can make contacting with them easier, the better.
OP, this form gradual improvement that relies on her effort still counts as 'but is it still Merryl' or is good enough for her to remain an innocent but eager witch, which then becomes sawy?
>>
>>2289501
Uh, I just realized that this is pretty much the same as >>2287459.
>>
>>2289505
Great minds think alike
>>
>>2289501
>>2288819
You can do something along the way then, like make her the pinnacle of human potential across the board without straying into what would warrant supernatural means, basically what you did with Ordan (though with Merryl, the added benefits of attractiveness and aptitude). You won't change her personality, but hopefully with all the right tools she'll get better on her own? Certainly she won't be clumsy or careless anymore, as much. Beyond that you'll just have to hope for the best.
Which seems to be the first effort of importance when you get home, as Lucas tends to the horses at the stable, and the orcs help with the new wagon. Merryl is eager to see you, and says she's decided in the end that she would wish to own her soul again if you would allow it, for personal wishes. Though before that then you'd want to change her. So finding a place aside, the root cellar should be fine, you begin the arduous process of resculpting her to be the very best of the best. It's difficult to work on her, and it's quite painful and uncomfortable for Merryl herself, but afterward you are quite satisfied while she is merely amazed, taking quite a lot to get used to her new form; about as perfect as perfect gets. Lastly the final touch, of gifting her soul back to her, as simple as handing it off and then tearing up the contract.
It's all too much for her really, and she can never express the gratitude and love she has for you for this. She can only ask what she did to deserve someone as kind and generous as you, and she practically begs for some way to make this all up even if it takes her whole life. Of course, without saying she is devoted to you unquestioningly.
>>
>>2289618
I already explained my plan to have her contact magic users cast aside by society.
Givd her some time to reafirmar and expand her arcane knowledge, as well as get used to the confidence that such body should give her, and then have her contact those interested in arcane power without regards from society (I think that the whole 'I need you to grant me your soul so I can improve you' part is better left to us, though we should probably prevent is as servitude, similar to the relationship towards a teacher, so inexperienced ones should be our best option.)
>>
>>2289618
I am little busy now, so bullet points after Merryl finally baws and daws and let us go (ad for answering her questions, oat her head, hugs, kiss, wink... we will figure something out together later)
- go see those blasted imps about other missing blasted imps
- try to talk Cili into staying with us, as in "where do you wanna go anyway? just stay and have fun" way
- stalk Elen im her sleep, mindrape time (also check progress)
>>
>>2289643
This seems promising, but we need to be careful. Merryl is corrupt as shit so she will inevitably rise some red flags
>>
>>2289643
Magic users could be a mixed bag but if you want witches and warlocks, you already have a very straightforward ritual you can perform.
>>2289654
For the imps, you figure it's been long enough. Make a roll to gather and/or interrogate the little wretches.
You are able to handle the imp matter with finesse rather than just having to resort to force or interrogation. A straightforward enough matter to simply call up a few, then seek out the ones whom have been overstaying their welcome in the material plane. What you find though is a bit alarming, if not a problem. A number of female imps at varying stages of pregnancy, apparently by Lucas's doing, and something which he isn't even aware of it seems. A devious ploy by the little wretches, with a portion of the material realm now a part of them, they sneakily found a way to abuse the situation and not have to return to the Hellscape after a certain period of time. Mostly it would appear they'd been hiding in places like the attic while still performing basic chores, as to avoid being noticed, but summoning them hence you can obviously tell what's going on now. It would almost be an inspired bit of devilry, were it not such a flagrant disregard of your authority. The question is though, what to do with them.
>>2289870
Not very cute, dumb or adorable when she's a female Adonis-equivalent, pinnacle of womanly beauty and physicality. No longer that clumsy, awkward, homely little witch from the woods. Though by your side, undoubtedly so.
>>2289884
She is not exactly an alchemist though. Not that she can't take up the craft, just that she is not and never really has been an alchemist, so much as strictly a witch.
>>2289804
Depending on how you handle it, yes indeed. Could very well hold a witches gathering and possibly summon a good few.
>>
>>2290298
Ah! But she is! Maybe not in the outside but certainly in the inside! We only changed appearance and stuff after all
She still behaves as that cute awkward witch only she looks great now! And will improve by her own overtime
In a way she's our daughter now :^)
She must have a slight headstart by being a healer
>>
>>2290298
Will the babies have souls?
>>
>>2290298
> pregnant imps
please explain what it means and what will happen if we leave in unchecked. I have half a mind to send them to hell right now.
>>
>>2290315
>She still behaves as...
Sure she does ;^)
>>2290321
No, both parents need a soul to contribute to offspring having one.
>>2290326
If ignored, the imps will carry to term some cambions, in this case half-imps (as opposed to half-demon if it were your case). Their primary motivation is just the chance to stay in the material plane indefinitely because of how much preferable it is here. However assuming the children go on living, it gives the mother imps a chance to return unabated through possession. In theory this could potentially be a risk because the children will belong to the specific imps so not under your direct control, though it's not like you've given the imps a reason not to be loyal or devoted to you. At the same time though, trusting imps and infernals in general, isn't exactly the smartest thing to do. All in all, it may be harmless (apart from some cambions running around) but there is a potential risk there, and said imps were trying this scheme behind everyone's back though you suppose that's their nature regardless.
>>
>>2290353
> little halfbreeds
Yeah, no. Congratulate them on their scheme, but there is only one alpha bitch that will breed, and that is us. So better luck next time, and it is abortion time. (I presume sending them back to hell will do the trick?)
> Merryl is not the same
Of course she isnt. We made her drooool/10 , a pinnacle of humanity, so she will change in next few days. I am wondering how much tho.
>>
>>2290353
Eh, if the circumstances were different maybe, but not now
Send em back!
>>2290367
>inb4 goes full bimbo
She'll prolly have a hard time settling into being the second hottest piece of ass around role but i believe, Merryl character development!
Also cambion/breeding for us wen
>>
>>2290374
>Second hottest
You made her the hottest around, certainly hotter than you.
>>2290367
No sending them back won't do the trick, however if they carry the children to term in the Hellscape then said cambions will be stuck down there as well. Unless of course they get brought up but that's entirely on your will at that point. Would that you were to do this, are you going to bar these mother imps from returning as well?
>>
>>2290387
Sure she is ;^)
Also nah, they'll get some time out as punishment after they've popped out the kids then they can return
>>
>>2290374
Well... Mila may become jealous, so she may want some upgrades of her one.
Anyway,
> Improptu Use Merryl Plan
Tell Merryl that if she wants, she may tell about her soul anyone she wants (asuming they know we are demoness) - Mila, Lucas, and subtly push her towards Cili and Elen. Idea here is, taht Merryl will happy to share the news and these two ladies need to see us in positive light. I believe Merryl doesnt know about soul exchange (3 to 1 ratio)?
>>2290387
We can be THE hottest, all we need to do is tweak our Amelie persona (I am again asuming our true form is sexy but not perfect in every way)
As for imps, they are going back to hell right now and will stay there as long as their child is alive. So they must kill it before returning back to mortal world.
>>
>>2290399
And order all imps that from now on they are banned of procreation (as long as they are in mortal world)
>>
>>2290399
Mila already has a thicc curvy body and also nice looking, Merryl started as a 5 while Mila started at 8
So she don't have anything to complain methinks
Also supporting this
>>
>>2290387
Just let them have their babies. I'm sure this won't backfire in any way.
>>
>>2290690
HMMM YES INDEED
>>2290399
Might become a recurring issue if you hand out improvements to devotees like candy. As for your own attraction, being that you were once an angel, yours is more a classic, immaculate kind beauty rather than "hot". Merryl now is the sort a guy would want to share a passionate night with, you're the sort a guy would want to profess his undying love for and write sonnets about. That is, if you didn't have horns and a tail.
>>2290403
Seems a bit harsh, maybe just compel them to abstain during the sabbath day, being the only day infernals can procreate.
So allow or disallow this wretched lot of expectant mother imps? They do so beg and plead for mercy and apologize for their scheming, some claiming to just want the chance to have experienced a taste of mortal life again, others dearly wanting cambions of their own, some even admitting a love for Lucas.
>>
>>2290805
Allow as long as they pledge eternal loyalty to us.
>>
>>2290805
> horns and tail
You know that Amman hears you, right?
> improvements
Weeeell, long term plan is showing our inner circle to our followers like they are ultimate pinacle of everything that is good and saying "See? Become mine and you can have some of that too."
> fooking imps
Look. We dont want any hellspawns running around the mortal world. At least not now and in imminent future. I dont really care how are imps going to prevent it. If mother-to-be just go to hell, pop the sprog there and leave it, do abortion, or just drown the thing... It is fine by me. But mortal world is out. Same goes for male imps impregnating mortal women btw.
No. Children. No procreation. It will be security nightmare with army of cambions otherwise.
I am open to suggestions how to solve this, but...
>>
>>2290861
Addendum: We completely understand imps and their reasons. We are not mad or cruel, only pragmatic and since they went behind our back and did the deed, we are left with only few options how to solve this and dont blow our cover.
>>
>>2290805
Also, if imps can have sex all year long but children just only in one exact day, if the abstain that one day it is ok... Safe sex is safe afterall.
>>
>>2290848
The children? The imps already belong to you.
>>2290861
That makes sense, making your closest devotees perfect specimens.
As for the imps, your safety concerns are grounded, though they dearly would not want to be sent back since they want the kids here. You can imagine from their perspective, not wanting to condemn their kids to the eternal torments of the Hellscape as opposed to mortal living.
You of course have the final say, but it's one of the things they beg you for. As well, promises to keep the kids in check. Though, again, do you want to even risk anything?
>>2290892
Well infernals in general, can only conceive on the sabbath.
>>
>>2290924
Sigh... Are they doing puppy eyes too? Please tell me they are not doing puppy eyes...
Some demoness we are, mortal world is making us one big softie
Since anons are mostly dead, I guess it is time for war conference. Gather round inner circle, ordan, elen, cili, ask for input. Before we even consider having goddamn breeding pen somewhere on grouds, other people should say their opinion on the matter.
>>
>>2290947
Honestly, I'm fine with
>>2290399
>>2290403
They did this behind our back and should be punished as hard as Merryl was, only they are demons too
So
We give them just that harsh a punishment too
Also i was dead because i wasn't quoted so i didn't see any notifications
>>
>>2290924
btw how many pregnancies are we talking about here?
also are there any pregnant mortal women? that would be really bad.
>>
>>2290972
By imps i don't think so but Mila and Merry most likely are, dunno bout Natalie since she only participated once in sexual matters
>>
>>2290970
Eh lets ask others. We can at very least influence elf and pagan that we are good girl / trying to listen to our followers and subordinates, and we will either end up with lots of opinions and blast the imps in the end or there wil be something interesting and worth pursuing further.
>>2290983
our resident girls we can manage, some random peasant i am afraid of.
>>
>>2290924
We didn't just kill off a risk with Merryl now only to have another one pop up because of these scheming bitches
>Had you all asked for permission or the like, I would've allowed this
>But now you schemed behind my back and should be punished as hard a Merryl once was
>>
>>2290924
Yea the kids
>>2290991
Yea we did though
>>
>>2290991
I spent a while writing my post but this sums it up very well. We didn't trade one risk for another.
They hid this from us and should be punished for trying to cheap their way into this plane without our knowledge.
Also backing these up.
>>2290970
>>
>>2290947
Tearful puppy eyes and fearfully holding their varyingly distended bellies.
>>2290970
Oh dear conflict. It seems, get the input from the others before making a decision? Though, in some cases like Lucas, his reaction may be obvious if he becomes aware.
>>2290972
Of expectant imps, there are 12 here. Of others, like mortal women you can't just know off the top of your head, though you could bring every imp before you and compel them to tell you the truth.
However, honestly, it seems highly unlikely. The only imps you are letting leave the grounds, you are putting on specific missions and specifying not to get caught, so the chances are very slim of anything untoward happening. Maybe some witch might happen upon one and realize what it is, if she really wanted such a tryst. As for within the grounds where you've given the imps free reign to do whatever they want, well with Lucas around it's not like you expect any of the women of the house to be fooling around with imps. Maybe a little during that sinful revelry, but that wasn't on the sabbath.
Now with your new, higher tier imps available, the risk is greater because some of them can appear as humans. But again, you're not letting any imps off the grounds without specific missions to follow.
>>2291009
If it's the kids, well you'd probably have to wait till they were an appropriate age but sure you could incite them to pledge loyalty to you. Chances are if it came to such a thing, their imp mothers would compel them to.
>>
>>2291021
Guys keep the kids. We indoctrinate them from birth and it's free troops.
>>
>>2291021
>>2291027
Hell no.
I didn't trade One Dark Lord one risk for another. These imps schemed behind our back, kept it under wraps and would have continued, without telling us, if we hadn't found them and so they should be punished for it.
I'm not about to go soft on these because they're pulling puppy eyes to evade punishment, off to hell with them. Because this will only plant the seeds of dissent if we allow this to happen and not punish the ones behind it. We have to be strict about how we handle these kinds of situations.
>>
>>2291021
Fuk no, Lucas I'd just going to make this more difficult, we deal with this shiet now!
>>2291051
Ehhhh, this too, kinda
I can already hear it
>If they did it why can't we? We're not going to get in trouble!
>>
>>2291051
Why though? Imps don't have to tell us about every little thing, we'd get overloaded. If the children swear loyalty they aren't a risk. I'm pretty sure most people regret punishing Merryl, and even if they don't, we only gave her a beating, not threw her pregnant into hell. Also slippery slope doesn't apply when we have absolute power.
>>
>>2291021
> 12
12-24 children
> Lucas
right... he wouldnt allow anything but keep&raise the little brats
> pledging
no matter what, they are still cambions, which means they stand out like a sore thumb. unless we can change them into human-like innocent cute little babies
>wat do
Well, other anons are mostly agains keeping them and I started with "yeah, no" AND this is very true >>2290991 >>2291051 , so we will be keeping policy of "no halfbreed allowed". As for mothers, that includes them aswell. How are they going to do it is their problem (but leaving the child in hellscape is fine as long as it stays there).
Overall our little helpers did very idiotic thing and while we are not exactly happy with this, our security is paramount.
>>
>>2291073
Maybe because it's bad? Do selfish things behind our boss? That are possible risks? Anon c'mon
And also, being strict is a good way to show strength and leadership!
>>
>>2291074
And one more thing - THIS NEVER HAPPENED. Nobody will speak nor think about it in future. Ever.
>>
>>2291088
Well these particular imp mothers will likely carry the despair with them after this.
So banish them all back below? Let your minions deal with, and punish them?
>>
>>2291086
Merryl did much worse, and her punishment wasn't anywhere near as bad. Also good judgement is a much better leadership quality.
>>2291088
If you have to hide this from even our closest circle members, perhaps you shouldn't be doing it?
>>
>>2291096
Yes
>>2291099
>Told our most trusting servant our secret
>These imps were trying to cheat their way into the world by getting pregnant and being unable to be called back when their timer ran off
Both are pretty bad anon
Also this is a pretty good example of good judgment, they disregarded our authority and did shit behind our back, they are being punished badly for it
Best example of good judgment!
>>
>>2291099
jesus pls. in the end we are demon. evil pleases us
As for Merryl, she didnt do it on purpose, she just slipped and babled because she was Merryl and we were stupid. Imps are imps, they knew very well what will happen - their attempt at hiding is quite a giveaway for example.
>>2291096
I guess. As player I am not happy but we demoness. We will survive, I am sure.
As for the other imps, instruct them about what we talked way back and also ask if the knew something about Perrins and Mullers. We need some entertainment after this.
>>
>>2291096
Yes.
Can I roll for their death down there?
>>
>>2291108
But not proportionately. This is the kind of stuff that reflects badly on us. And it will get out. Banishing this many imps? Another demon can find out in hell, and send a message to Lucas about what we did to his children. Do you think Lucas will forgive us?
>>2291115
So you're willing to forgive Merryl because she's stupid, but not forgive imps who wanted a reprieve from being tortured in hell. Come on anon.
>>
>>2291124
Anon
Cmon, baby
Get real
It doesn't reflect badly because this happened without our consent and purposely behind our back, this is questioning our authority and it would be even worse if we allowed them to go unpunished
And how in the fuk is a demon going to contact Lucas?
>>
>>2291132
Maybe there's a middle ground between killing the kids and no punishment? Like that mythical color grey between black and white? You really think Lucas is gonna hear that we sent 12 of his unborn kids to hell and react like "oh well had to be done"? You're smarter than that. Demons can send a message through people whose souls they possess. OP already said rhey were watching and acting against us. Please think things through.
>>
>>2291143
>>2291132
Indeed, there could possibly be a risk of word getting out? Certainly from the mouths of the mothers.
Thus, the only safe option is to kill all of them! Mothers and unborn all together!
>>
>>2291143
*Watching*
**Watching**
The only one who was acted against us was that one guy at the beginning, and it was because one of them was already dabbling in demon shit not because some random demon went "lul let's possess this guy"
And do far Lucas still has his soul and the ones we have pacted for are on our person
>>
>>2291124
Hell is dog-eat-dog environment anon. This shit is happening all the time down there. All they had to do was ask, we are kind mistress otherwise.
As for Lucas, I truly wonder if he will believe some random demon trying to smear us with some ridiculous story.
Also STOP GIVING IDEAS TO OP YOU FAGGOT! ..srsly.. kids these days
But before we do, lets give every imp a little speach about why we, for example, are not having children even if we perfectly could have. >>
>>2291198
>>2291187
Eh might as well just kill them at this point. So you butcher all the little expectant mothers, screams, wails and lament fill the cellar as they try to beg for mercy, attempt to escape, or even try to defend themeselves and the lives of their unborn! Oh what a horrific slaughter, so pleasing to your nature! Eventually you emerge covered in imp blood and baby guts, feeling at peace with the situation. It's for the best this way, no loose ends, nothing to worry about after.
Well you didn't kill any, you just handwaved them out of the plot, so no need to get clean.
In returning to the house Lucas is finishing up with the horses, and casually asks where you snuck off to? Once inside though, Elen is trying to learn something from Merryl while Cili and Natalie are conversing in the living room. Choices choices...
>>
>>2291316
Suddenly we realized we can multiply, so there are no choices left. We do it all. Simultaneously.
Lets bother Elen and Merryl first, we can do some mindraping here
>>
>>2291316
Let's do 3 and 4 from
>>2291277
>>
>>2291324
>>2291323
Yes yes, those two. They're in the kitchen so some modicum of privacy. You approach Merryl and Elen who are glad to see you, and ask how the trip to town was. You of course break the news to Merryl about learning, and while she isn't too enthusiastic she is certainly grateful. The two of them though, or more rather Elen was checking Merryl out and how much you changed her. Elen herself, you can sense, is getting more in the groove of living her as per your suggestions and corruption, and after seeing your changes to Merryl, if you could do the same well, she'd be a lot more enthusiastic about staying.
>>
>>2291351
Certainly! But it's not something we give out so easily, Merryl here is a special case
Maybe down the line if she stays and is allowed into our circle close circle, we'll gladly help her after she's earned it
>>
>>2291351
Sure thing. We can change her to some extent, but without owning her soul we can only go so far. Just a friendly warning here.
As for Merryl, maaaybeee we shoudl have asked her what she actually want to do before we made a choice for her? Lets do it now. We are not autistic so we can sense her less-then-enthusiastic response and ask if we fucked up.
>>
>>2291363
Well as said, it's just that she's not an alchemist. It would be like going to Lucas who works with horses, and telling him you got him a carpenter teacher.
Any effort taken towards her is appreciated, though she personally doesn't have much interest in alchemy. But if you want her to, she'll learn.
>>2291360
Well on the required incentive of soul bargaining, it's a good start. Since Elen is not expecting to lure her fellow pagans to you, she's less stringent on what she would need to do so.
>>
>>2291375
> Merryl
True, and we figured that alchemy is probably not her interest by now, but we are asking what SHE wants to do? What SHE enjoys doing or want to learn?
> Elen
just tease her with things we can actually do looks, strenght, endurance,.. can we do longer live?, hell, if she fancy being dragoness, we can do that too (as a semi-joke)
Anyway, night anons
>>
>>2291502
G'night Anon!
>>
>>2291398
Her ideal would be to improve her witch skills, and if she was going to learn alchemy she would prefer as a secondary skill like learned from you.
You tease Elen though but she is receptive to it, especially the notion of living longer. And who wouldn't be?
>>2291411
That would be idea for her but she seeks general witchy skills. She has her dream of becoming like a confident, empowered, bombshell witch matriarch soaring through the night sky and capable of anything. At least that was her dream since resigning herself to her fate.
>>2291502
She is up for whatever you need her for but doesn't catch onto your motive. In any case though you seek Cili and Natalie and plonk down on one of the chairs by them. It seems Cili was getting to know Natalie as well as get an idea of the life from her. Well, maybe Natalie wasn't the right one to talk to, but it seems to have worked out; although you had a rought start with her, and things aren't perfect, she's come to appreciate how you've treated her and this possible new life you've provided. Sure, you own her soul, but things could be much worse given your nature.
To this, Cili is quite responsive, and more considering. The three of you share a pleasant time till a big dinner with everyone. A good time by all, and how would you like to while away the rest of the evening?
>>
>>2291689
Nice hangout times with Merryl, would she preffer if we found a healer instead of an alchemist?
Then!
>>
>>2291793
>>
>>2291813
Y wait? Best parties happen at night
>>
>>2291821
This is kinda sudden m'dude, let's do it tomorrow, that way we'll have time for preparations
>>
>>2291777
After dinner and everyone a chance to settle down, you can retire to bed with Merryl, and share a steamy time together. She's a little uncomfortable by it, both with her new body and because she's inclined towards menfolk as you know, but you manage to ease her up and have a good time. A good night's sleep for the both of you, and an intense bond shared, a deep love she has for you that you can sense. Maybe not so much physical but very salient nonetheless, no one in her life has treated her even half so kind or lovingly as you have, till that ultimate gift of her life and freedom back.
---
You awaken the next day, content as usual after a night of having appreciated and marveled at your as of yet magnum opus in Merryl's form. The feeling among the covers and entangled with that sensual, powerful, graceful, enduring form of a woman what was once a feeble, clumsy little mouse of a girl.
>>
>>2291840
Go to town to buy whatever we need for that Hellish Party!
>>
>>2291840
Can we grow a penis for this special nights with Merryl?
Or turn our form into a man for a brief period of time.
>>
>>2291840
Question the imps too, if any have had any sexual activities with a bored and weird enough human
>>
>>2291840
One more thing, do we know of any ritual that keeps normal humans away while signaling the party further? Or that hides it from non-corrupt people?
Wouldn't want to get walked in on mid-orgy
>>
>>2291858
Well the ritual itself should provide for anything you could want, need or imagine to have at the thing. Like maybe there could be something very specific, but the point of the ritual is to cover the whole spread.
>>2291862
You could, but you won't.
>>2291895
Make a roll!
>>2291923
That's part of the risk, now! However you can very well just choose a secluded location (like most of these sorts of gatherings are) for which the chances of someone stumbling upon are low. And if they do, well hey, another sacrifice or possible convert!
>>
Rolled 83 (1d100)
>>2291975
Ah, Okay, just wanted to get a bit extra, some souvenirs and stuff
Rolling!
>>
>>2291994
It's not that you can't, you totally can get extra things if you like, that you have in mind. It's just that as part of the ritual, you'd be hard pressed to imagine anything which the Hellscape couldn't provide in kind. Maybe you can, but then that's why you'd want to specify.
>>
>>2292008
It's alright then, everything i was thinking aside from the souvenirs should be available
>>
>>2291994
>83
Anyway, out of grounded concern, you figure to ask among the imps if there's risk of any other unexpected infernal bundles of joy on the way. As it so turns out, surprisingly, one imp fellow did manage to score himself something of a relationship with a mortal woman. While out on a job you send him for scouting and surveilancing, as a dog disguise traveling through the countryside he crossed paths with a cursed woman whom could see past his disguise. This led to that, and he's managed to have an on-off fling with her when they've met now and again. No actual risk of a cambion though, yet, since he isn't able to remain here in the mortal realm past his set time.
>>2292024
Very well then, I suppose make plans for this shindig you have in mind?
>>
>>2292028
Hm, next time he's out ask him to see if she would be interested in visiting us
If she doesn't attend tonight that is!
As for the plans today let's scout a nice secluded place for it with the female orc, then I'll see where to go from there
>>
Rolled 95 (1d100)
>>2292037
Should have this particular imp here for the orgy
And i forgot my roll too
>>
>>2292041
>95
He could make a date of it with her, so you send him out to seek his accursed woman to see if she wants to attend. Chances seem good of it.
In the meantime, while the others set about their morning routine, you get ready to go out and seek the orcs. Urga is her name, a fine specimen of an orc woman, and eager to join you on an outing. A good chance to get to know one of your servants.
In any case you ride out together and based on your combined knowledge of the region, end up traveling westward in search of a good spot. Eventually, though it takes half a day, you manage to find an almost perfect spot in the ruins on the western moors, some old keep or cathedral perhaps? Almost no one comes out this way for the area being haunted, which is perfect for you. Now you can summon an imp, tell them of the plan, then send them back to reemerge at home and let everyone know, if you want anyone particular (or all your servants) to join the celebration. However it's a little after noon so you and Urga still have the rest of the day here together, to explore or do as you see fit, prepare perhaps?
Or maybe you could start the gathering earlier than night, and give people plenty of time to congregate. Though that does pose a little greater risk of being noticed. Your choice.
>>
>>2292096
HMMMMM
Yeh, bring absolutely everyone if they're cool with it, Helen and Ciri too
As for the rest of the evening, let's get to know her further, re-check the surroundings for any peeking points and look for possible patrol areas for the guards to cover
The orcs will take shifts patrolling these areas between Male orc and Urga and Ordan and Lucas
>>
>>2292128
Male orc and Urga, the next pair being Ordan and Lucas, then imps if any of these get two worn out in the main events
Unless this thing comes with guards already
>>
>>2292128
>>2292133
One thing to consider, these sorts of gatherings can, and may well be pretty horrific, so bringing along someone like Cili whom you don't yet own may be problematic.
Also in terms of who to bring, you can also specify folks from the Hellscape, as the ritual works as an open door for as long as it lasts. That includes more than just your imps, if you want to draw up a potential guest list.
>>
>>2292133
Oh and as for guards, it can come with them if you seek it, like patrolling Hell Hounds, or you could just have a swarm of imps going around looking for trespassers.
>>
>>2292150
>>2292157
We can't exactly leave her alone, but she can be watched over by one of the guards if she doesn't want in
Disguised imps sound good for guards, they could act like a pack of dog/wolves
As for guests do you have a list of our subordinates, excluding our son and our supposed bestie
>>
>>2292169
Cili and Elen are at a point of friendliness where, if you wanted to leave them at home you could, just an imp maybe to mind them and report to you if need be but you don't think there's a risk. Or bring them, your choice. As for guards, you have a better warren now so you can get specialized imps, in this case able to resemble people if you want rather than dogs. Or just leave it at dogs, again your choice. For a possible guest list for Hellscape denizens, apart from however many imps you'd like to participate, there's your minions;
>Vauma, your son
>Uengwian, your deviless admirer
>Creidhl, your devil organizer
>Three unknown infernals who joined your cause with your last soul expenditure
As well, there's associates whom are not minions, but you could vaguely think of them as allies;
>Ewrfior, a demoness "ally" and closest thing to a friend you have in the Hellscape
>Pnagvien, a devil whom is an equivalent-level minion as you are, to the devil whom is both of yours' boss
There's also some general others, like your other children, exes, your boss, but you probably don't want to invite those.
One last thing to consider, but usually in this ritual a sacrifice is expected. So unless you want to expend the soul and sacrifice someone you already own, you may want to seek just some random mortal to kidnap and sacrifice, while expending a soul you already own.
>>
>>2292199
Upgraded imps then! And Cili and Elen stay home with some male imps (who didn't know about the scheming bitches) unless they want to come
>Guests
Our Vauma
Uengwian
Creidhl
Ewrfior
Our imps and other such minions
And the three new guys because why not
As for the sacrifice, is the male orc willing? If not ask Ordan and the other orc to get someone on the way
>>
>>2292232
Less if they want to come and more you risk turning them away. Well, Elen is at the precipice. If you want to risk it, you could potentially win her over finally, but failing to do so would mean losing her.
As for the sacrifice, no he probably wouldn't be willing but it's not like he has a choice now. You don't want some quality bonding time with Urga though to go kidnap some poor soul together? Later that is, maybe after checking the place out more and getting to know one another better.
>>
>>2292278
Eh, they'll stay
Alright sure. So you spend awhile searching around the ruins with Urga and get to know one another. She ran away from home to follow after her brother whom left to join a warband. After he would later die though, she just took to that life and wandered around mostly helping to fight here and there. After coming into your service though, you enabled her to be a fighter herself, which although is not as much an honor for orc women, it's still been a dream of hers to be able to do. And now under Ordan, she's within the makings of a powerful group as a core member. If only her brother could see her now. Again, she is very thankful towards you and expresses so.
A pleasant enough time wandering around, till you're satisfied with the area and figure to set about some of the few preparations you actually will need. First and foremost, a sacrifice. Together you plan some and ride out for a bit. Out in the moors here there aren't really inhabited places, so you have to find the road again and ride some distance. And while it isn't a farm boy, you do eventually come across an inn and after scouting it out, you send Urga for it. She comes back carrying a stable boy whom she floored and dragged off. So there you have your sacrifice now, kicking and struggling all the way, but the main detail needed of the ritual. It's about late afternoon so if there was any last things you wanted to see to before sunset and the ritual time, you can.
> Merryl and alchemy
So, for clarification, we will try to find competent witches/warlocks for our resident sexbomb and meanwhile dabble in alchemy ourselves?
Also do we want to influence gently mind rape her towards being bi, therefore relaxed when anons want some solo action with her?
> Elen and Cili
Lets continue with secretly influencing them and pumping full of corruption and subversive thoughts, they are ours in no time. But leaving them home clueless for now is best bet. This hellparty will probably turn nasty, especially with our victim over here.
>>2292414
Elen and Cili are out already, and I am conflicted about Lucas and Mila. They should probably stay home too since they never experienced our rough side. As for our soulless servants, orcs are probably ok, humans I dunno. Do we need them there? It is not like we will make good impression with murderrapekill behavior.
> security
>>
>>2292562
One more question about Merryl popped in my mind - can we teach her about witchery personally, at least to some extent? Demon summoning, rituals, if she wants to learn that kind of things? I think we cant do much about mundane magic and there we need external teacher, bud supernatural is what we do best and witches work with hell stuff.
>>
>>2292562
How about full lesbian instead, or with more female affinity
Also Lucas and Mila have already seen a small version of this and they're already used to our real demonic form so they should be fine
They will know the very moment soul (and life) will be ripped out from the victim and whole think will be kickstarted by it. We are going to attract some very bad "people" and in my opinion our friends are not ready for this. Not mentioning whole murderrapekill thing again. Lets wait for other anons but I would rather leave everybody who know us as "mostly nice person with few quirks" home. Hellparty will be brutal wake-up call for them otherwise.
Let them know exactly what this is, then ask them if they do want to go, Merryl is definitely coming
>Changing key quirks that make her personality is the same as changing her sexual preference
Kek
>>
>>2293448
Sounds like a slippery slope buddy.
Anyway you can't let them know in person but imps can relay the message. The thing is that because of how they view you, you can already tell that they will come to under-expect the event and may get a nasty surprise.
>>
>>2293448
I'd say sexual preference factors into personality pretty heavily. Change this and Merryl might start acting completely differently. Of course, we could then change the rest of her so she acts the same as she used to despite being wholly different on the inside. Might take some trial and error though, it's complicated stuff.
Well on a reconsideration, there's Lucas to tag along but you could probably bring Elen too. It seems she's not as easily offended, in part because some pagan gods have gruesome practices too. Yes that was a given, since being a witch she's used to these sorts of things.
>>
>>2294367
Let's get on with it then!
>>
>>2294373
So by the time Lucas, Merryl, and Elen as well as Ordan and the other orc fellow arrive, night is falling. You've spent the time since, clearing the area and making preparations for the ritual. Normally something like this would take place at midnight, but it's good sense to give people a chance to get here.
So then, in beginning the ritual, make a roll; to see how well the ritual goes off, and how notable the party attendees are. And of course, specify how many souls you want to put into this ritual. Obviously the stolen one of the lad to be sacrificed plus the designated soul for the ritual itself. But the more souls you devote to it, the greater the ritual will turn out to be.
>>2294533
The ritual requires a non-stolen soul at least. You can use the victim's soul to further empower it, but unless he gives you his before you do this, you can't just sacrifice him and use his stolen soul for it.
>>2294879
>>
Oky doky, back now. Bit of a later start but it's Friday, so!
>>
>>2294923
Well it's a complicated matter depending on what you hope to get out of the ritual. In theory it could just be a nice pleasant party with the spread whipped up from the Hellscape. However, you're inviting up other actual infernals to participate as well as dark and corrupted beings of the mortal realm, so what may have been something innocent enough without them, will surely be horrific and disturbing with them.
>>2294890
If you'd wanted to snag this lad's soul, that's something you should have been doing all day. You're cutting it rather close now, you can try to offer him a reason to give you his soul but it will have to be quick, otherwise using one you already have. Though with a roll that good, it might be quite easy if you're creative enough to pitch a reason the lad would want, or fall for.
>>2296579
>99
Well, this ritual will certainly turn a few heads that's for sure, as long as you fulfill the minimum soul requirement.
>>
>>2296839
Wot, we had to get his soul willingly? I thought we were going to sacrifice him and use the soul at one point in the celebration, satanic-ritual-like and all
>>
>>2296923
That method is like icing on the cake. However in this case with such a good roll, I suppose it's fair to allow it in this case.
So, in preparation to start, final say; bringing your mortal servants along or not? Besides Merryl of course.
>>
>>2297007
Eh, no
Use up the soul of the guy we cured as the extra too
>>
>>2297018
Very well then! Let's see how things go, with you expending Ranolph's soul to begin the ritual, and sending out a call to any and all sinful and forsaken beings in the region, mortal or otherwise; a great party occurs this eve, replete with hellish delights and profanities! Anyone who is anyone will try and be there, or be square.
You'd already cleared and prepared the area through the day, while Urga keeps ahold of the stable lad, for you to begin actually inscribing the area in time for Merryl to arrive. Just her and Urga for this event, no need to scar or scare anyone else close to you. The trick will be to see, who else shows up in the hours leading up to the highlight and the fever pitch after...
Having begun the ritual at around sunset then, over the next few hours you get a steady trickle of interested beings arrive for the allure of the party. Witches flying in on brooms, warlocks carried in by golems, beastling half-animal men dwelling in the area emerging out of curiosity, a necromancer and some unaffiliated undead (including several ghosts of these haunted ruins), a number of accursed unfortunates and soulless desperates, and some other dark entities. Indeed this should prove to be quite an event for sure, as more and more beings gather and many bring their own contributions to the party; from strange foodstuffs or gifts, to additional sacrifices!
Merryl is quite enthused, while Urga is impressed at such a strange and diverse collection of creatures. You're just happy as the host to such a recognized event; you never expected such a great showing, why none of the infernals are even here yet (unable to show till the sacrifice) but clearly there must have been many more dark and/or sinful personages in the region than you thought.
In any case as the cleared area of the ruins begins to accumulate guests, some of whom begin to interact and mingle. How do you want to proceed? You'd probably give it another hour or so, till midnight, for the grand event of the sacrifice. In the meantime though, there's plenty of hellish goodies to go around, so you're free to act and interact as you see fit. Merryl is just waiting for the go-ahead, though Urga feels more comfortable just remaining by your side mostly.
>>
>>2297136
Focus on them witches, warlocks and possible corrupt/desperate people to recruit
Witches and warlocks first with Merryl! Look for a teacher we both feel is a good fit!
Then mingling with the rest of the guests
Urga stays close too
>>
>>2297189
A first impression, yes? These may well be potential allies of course, so you want them to feel they're in the right place coming to this party for sure. Make a roll to put on a good face in meeting these other devious sorts, and how you can seek to eventually exploit them.
Even a poor roll of course, given the party, won't displease anyone but something good may attract service.
Of the lot of them, you have a particular interest in the Hellscape conjurers, the witches and warlocks. So along with Urga and of course Merryl, you approach them as they mingle about and display their prowess or get to know others. There are six warlocks in attendance, and ten witches, probably because of the fact that by dint of flight witches can travel much more easily. In any case, you present quite a good showing in your welcoming them to the event and introducing yourself(ves). All of them are quite surprised to find an actual demon present here, at first having thought you were Merryl's summon or something like that. To that end, well needless to say they are very interested in your appeal and are now doubly invested in the situation; for them, mortal devotees to the Hellscape, you represent more or less the pinnacle of what they should like to hope for and strive to.
And so in getting to know them and being quite pleasant with the lot, you charm four of the six warlocks, and eight of the ten witches. The ones who aren't charmed, are ones who are of the more "edgy" sort and are a little put off by how down to earth and sweet, kindly you are. It seems some view that as an obvious sign that you are trying to trick them, while others are a little disappointed by expecting you to be like a typical demon all fire and brimstone and horrors. But none of them are impolite, and the ones you do appeal to are enough to be interested in service. If you wanted to, you could easily spend the rest of the evening before midnight here among this lot, all eager to know and learn more about you and your servants.
As it turns out, an actual noble from the area is present, with a couple of uneasy looking followers. He doesn't recognize you since you're as your demonic self, but you know him from those gatherings Margot brought you along to. Seems he had some darker tendencies than hanging out with vampires.
>>2297765
They are both present, she's among the accursed lot of folks, though her and the imp fellow are keeping together.
So then, you've got a pretty good feel for the mortals you're seeking to predate upon, any last thing you'd want to accomplish before the big sacrifice? As an aside you get to talking with Merryl about her take on things and what she'd be after, she thinks snagging yourselves a bunch of other witches and you could have yourselves a coven. She's never been in one, but an organizing on the mortal side of things, and your own demonic organization below, and she thinks a lot could get done. Though this does come from a lack of familiarity with warlocks, just her personal feel of things.
Busy day again earlier, hope to be able to do a more normal run today though, later.
>>2300760
Before the main event so to speak, you take care of some last quick few things. The noble you approach, to get to know and sow some misgivings among him and his followers. As it turns out they're pretty much there just to ensure his safety, but it's a potential means to weaken their cohesion. If you keep prodding at it, and if his safety ends up not being at risk, then maybe he won't have a need for any followers...
One more, the necromancer. He may not be the most interesting or powerful among the gathered undead lot, but at least he's actually living. Getting to talk isn't too difficult, and learning about him. Originally a book scribe from the next country over to the east, he managed to keep some forbidden books from being destroyed by the church authorities. While this lead to difficulties for him back home and thus needing to flee, it did get him where he is today with a few gathered undead to follow his bidding. Lastly, you consider Merryl's proposal. You could get any combination of the witches and warlocks, however they will have a much better cohesion and cooperation among their own kind. Though, picking one would likely bar the other (at least in one place) but the trade off may or may not be worth it depending on what you're after.
In any case that's best left for later. As midnight nears now, you start getting things ready and making the final preparations, the assembled guests starting to gather as close as is safe for them. With Urga and Merryl's help, you have the stable lad dragged kicking and screaming to the center of a complex glyph spanning the whole central area, and begin the ritual itself. The process is not a terrible long one but it is complicated, however thanks to your preparations and your own skill, you manage to pull it off just in time with the passing over of midnight. Fires around shift to green, the smell of brimstone is heavy in the air, and in using your hellish blade to end the stableboy's life and offer up his soul to the fires, a fearsome tremor shakes the area before the ground cracks asunder along the patterns of the glyph. Hellfire bursts forth and rises high to the night, as the maw of the inferno gapes wide and spits out your invited guests.
Much anticipation and celebration as one after the other, demon, devil and otherwise exit the scorching unknown to a grim fanfare and serving imp to announce their arrival to the event. Stepping into the mortal realm, the material plane for this gathering, differing reactions from your guests (both hellish and mortal) but all in the same mindset; time to party!
>How would you like to proceed? And for the event itself, how active, and/or controlling do you want to be in relation to the party? Are you interested in throwing yourself into the thick of things to come, or rather play a good hostess and make sure everyone gets what they want from arm's length?
>>
>>2300973
>noble
oh, he is completely safe here. assure him and perhaps tell few imps to watch after the guy
> coven
we have Merryl, so witches are most likely way to go, but in general terms, what can coven provide us?
>party
officialy greet everybody, lets not be shy today, it is time to celebrate and have fun, there is no need to keep your inhibitions in check (at least not too much)
we can indulge ourselves here or there, but most of the time lets stay in control and see to our guests wishes (it will be even better if we can do it personally). Also we need to stop most horrible things from happening if participants are not happy with them. But if everybody is willing, they can do whatever and if we encounter uncertain fellows, we need to encourage them to go for it (whatever "it" is at the moment).
As a general rule, more happy people means more points and potentional followers (and souls) for us. Also if noble guy will be ok to part with his entourage forever, we may do more sacrifices (or rather give knife to bolder guests out there to do the job).
>>
>>
>>2301813
Nothing stopping us from sinning in every way then some with our own blood
>>
>>2301813
...and that is exactly what we are going to do. Now lets pretend that /d/ intermezzo never happened and move on with actual party and celebration of most beautiful sins:
For PRIDE, it is all about us, are importance and that we are better than everybody else, we deserve respect, and everything we want. Indulge our guests and stroke their egos with visons of grandeur. This leads directly to ENVY and GREED because other people either have something we desire or they desire what we possess. Things material or spiritual, and when we are asked to share, we are not going to. Shower participants with gold, tell them secret knowledge, give gifts and boons. Opulence in everything is the key and then it is time for GLUTTONY, SLOTH, ANGER and LUST. Now it is time for our guests to shine and take reins, let them do whatever, encourage their most dark desires and drive them into damnation while they enjoy every and all depraved activity man has ever created.
So with the arrival and greeting of the esteemed infernal guests, no one can deny the party getting underway. Just as in the same way as you find it so enjoyably overwhelming just simply being in the mortal realm, compared to the eternal suffering of the Hellscape, so too do the demons and devils who take to everything the gathering has to offer with starved glee. Only, they haven't had a few months to learn what they're accustomed to; everything feels so amazing that they being on everything available like a first time high rush. No sin is left unchecked, as your mortal guests recoil with initial shock for the Hellscape denizens to set upon them ravenously, but soon everyone finds a feverish pace of debauchery in varying degrees, though all to increasing heights. Some of your fellow infernals give in to their wrath and lust, with more sacrifices offered up and mortals eager to cavort with devils and demons. Some though, just savor the simple act of being material, getting lost in the feeling of the grass or the taste of the food and drink. And for some, the agony of choice is too much that they just find a comfortable spot and let the mortals lavish them and fulfill all their desires.
Yes indeed, a hellish party for sure, a nightmarish scene for anyone else to happen upon. But for all you sinful, lost and damned sorts, a night of cheer and celebrations. And you on top of it all, being the dutiful hostess that you are, make sure everyone and everything is accommodated, that no guest goes wanting and every desire is answered in excess. This is your party after all, and being that you dwelled on the tier of Pride when that you were confined below, you can't let anyone feel that your party is not the best! Insodoing, you curry a lot of favor with the guests who barely have the chance to be grateful, caught up in the whirlwind of vice and debauchery that they are. But they know who's responsible, and you know. It doesn't leave much time unfortunately for yourself though in between, but you find a chance here and there to partake of the fun, particularly when it suits the desires of a guest.
>A long night ahead of you, assuming you intend for the party to conclude in a normal fashion of time, is there anything in particular you seek to accomplish or engage?
>noble and his minions
we can definitely use somebody like him, so luring him into contract would be nice. We need to know him and his desires, perhaps even do some sort of witty fassttalking and essentialy make him give us his soul via spoken contract (most cheesy way? seduction (may not be sexual). just catch him unaware what he is saying, slip few words about soul giving and presto, he is ours)
Also what about his entourage? We may try to "save" some of them from dying via contract.
>witches
>warlocks
we cant mix them with coven but some freelancers are always welcome. corrupt, seduce, everybody loves power.
>edgy idiots
>>
>>2302965
In this case as you find out, only two are present. One of your new recruits is a fiend as it turns out, so your minions had the good sense to not invite them along. The two who did show up though are devils, a male and female. Gorigu and Runwrbiv, one is eager to meet you in person for the first time, the other is nervous about joining your cause "late" so to speak but seems happy to serve. Their loyalty is appreciated though, as you make sure they're taken care of during the party.
>>2303007
>>2303084
Oh deer, conflict. Well as a compromise in the meantime, you can keep the two of them busy. Last I checked, you didn't commit to changing Merryl's orientation. Vauma was always fairly level-headed compared to you, or maybe he just doesn't want to do wrong by you. In any case he's fairly reserved despite the vibrant proceedings, just sitting to the side with something to eat and drink while conversing with some warlocks. You pester them away with imps though, before sidling up to your son.
"Enjoying yourself dear? It's so lovely to be able to spend time together like this. Ah, but there's someone I'd like to introduce you to..."
Dragging Merryl up, she's alarmed by your suddenness, but when she sees and meets the fine and prideful demon fellow who takes after you, she gets rather bashful. She even squeaks when you grow impatient waiting for her to break the ice, and just pull her over to sit on his lap. You know that he's wise to your machinations, however you made Merryl out to be quite the appealing mortal woman, and she's clearly interested. It couldn't hurt to maybe get to know her, right?
Perfect, that's all you need and can get back to them later to see how things go. In the meantime, you can set yourself on a task. Of the following, which interests you firstly?
>>2303084
And make a roll for the one you're after, the better you can describe the attempt (in the sense of how you're trying to snare them) the easier the roll is. Or if you have something else in mind not listed.
>wat do
lets start with nobleman, going through everybody will take a while
We still dont know what makes him tick, so this is our first goal. While we are smalltalking and charming him, do our usual mind poking and probing. Also how corrupt is he? With everything that is going around us, everybody here must be virtually glowing.
Anyway... Poke him into not caring about his followers and pretty much giving them to us. Everything he ever wanted is right here. He is safe, imps and demons are taking care of his wishes, there are even quite beautiful women present, mortal or otherwise, so why should he bother with few nobodies? Now, depending on the situation, we may try to seduce him with something uniq he craves desperately, or just feed him drugs or wine and seduce him so hi will give us his soul (give soul, i will be yours for this very moment, etc...).
I cant be more specific atm because I lack crucial knowledge about this guy.
Well well, you put good use to your skills of influence and manipulation, towards the noble fellow. Ever so subtly and sweetly, between his debauched acts, you worm your way into his mind and grip your hands about his soul. Already you sowed doubt in him about his guards, so with a kiss he'll gladly give them over to you. Sacrifices, or souls, your choice though the noble himself can't speak for their souls so it's not like he can just give those to you. You're free to do with them as you please though as far as he's concerned.
What more, you continue to lavish him with everything he could want and desire till he can hardly deny you anything you might need, and all this with nothing more than a kiss and some Hellscape magic of conjuring up things to satisfy his desires and twist his reason. You press and prod him so far into ecstasy that without your even needing to mention so, he's practically begging you to take his soul if it means a lifetime of this. Though, whether you accept it or not is your choice. It does occur to you that being able to manipulate a mortal noble could come in quite handy, maybe pose as a family member or even partner, confer noble status to yourself even? Who knows, though between that or taking his soul, you figure a soulless noble is a big sign of suspicion. So whether to take, or refuse in order to string him up as your puppet.
>>
Rolled 98 (1d100)
>>2303320
Is soulless noble really that big deal? As in "easy to find and really bad"
>noble
But given the circumstances, we should probably play it safe for now. We have him twisted around our finger so tell him that in his future are far greater things and this party is just a tip of the iceberg. We are pleased how devoted he is and he should be patient and wait. Somebody will contact him shortly - he should remind his followers about person that brings news about possible future enterprises... Give him few more promises, influence his mind to be even more loyal to us, give one last searing kiss, and move on. (but find out noblemans name, where he lives etc ofc, the usual info we need to contact him later)
Next target:
>nobles goons
now these guys are ours, so we dont really need to be subtle or nice. Restrain them (imps will help) and then go full scary demoness on their asses while mindraping and prodding them into submission. We are giving them soul-or-die deal while scaring them shitless with everything hell will do to them. They are already here so their souls are forfeit, and nobleman happily thrown all of them under the bus. Buuuut we may be able to save them from the worst, if they give their souls to us.
Now, the contract will be stated as "I will not knowingly touch you today, for that you give me your souls". Reason for this is, I want all of them either sacrificed (offer them to guests) or ordered to battle each other in improptu gladiator match to death. We are touching nobody, merely ordering them around, so we should be safe.
And if everythig fails, just steal their souls and then sacrifice them. these guys are useless anyway.
A gladiator match to the death? How wonderful and entertaining! Also sufficiently edgy, that anyone doubting you forgoes any such thoughts!
In the end you end up with three souls and only one left alive, battered and bloody from surviving against the other two. What to do with him though... as for the noble, yes indeed, you get all the relevant information you need to know about him and have him waiting for you on further notice even after the party. Now... The spiel is always the same. Get to know them better, find out how corrupt they are and start manipulating them. As soon as we find out what they desire, we start pushing theit sin buttons with offers and promises, lavish them with attention, gifts and luxury, hint at powerful secrets and forbidden forgotten knowledge. Tell them about Merryl, the clumsy nobody, and look at her now. Also there is the whole coven idea, just imagine what you can do with honest-to-satan unbound demoness backing you there. And we have already inroad with nobility, thanks to our new friend over there, so we are going places adn our plans are not stopping at one noble. wink wink.
This is a much harder prospect, to entice the assorted, gathered witches since there's so many of them compared to just the one nobleman by contrast. However, the good news is that they are positively disposed towards you, not to mention that similar to Merryl, several of them live pretty meager lifestyles in isolation. When you point out what kind of better life you can provide, not to mention how much you improved Merryl without costing her soul (just reward for loyalty), that certainly appeals to some of them. For others, the idea of a chance to work together and improve all their combined fortunes and power, plus being supported by a demon, is also a very attractive offer. Plus not to mention all the pleasure and satisfaction you're bombarding them with by way of the party. If you can imagine Merryl as you found her, a hermit woman like that suddenly dragged into a sin fest like this, they're in over their heads.
So while you don't end up just signing on all their souls in some sweet group deal, you do manage to entice most of them into devotion. Of course between lustful endeavors and gluttonous binging, you can't exactly work out the fine details with them, but the rough idea seems to be once this is all over, you can work something out together. Only two witches in the end don't offer their loyalty, one whom seems very fancy and accomplished like all of this is beneath her, and one whom like Merryl is actually owned by another infernal. However, considering you kind of just had to take a shotgun approach to all of the assorted witches rather than being able to have time and effort to interact with all of them individually, it's still a great accomplishment.
>Anything further with these witchy ladies, or onto your next effort? You can probably fit in one more before day comes. Assuming you intend to end the party then, of course.
Normally it wouldn't be such a problem, but they've already killed two uninvolved party goers in the process. A big bull beastling, and a giant spider, probably having taken offense at one another. You might want to get involved if you want to keep the roughly good vibes going, else there could be greater bloodshed... although maybe that would be good too?
push the combatants/rest of guests (whichever is easier, and use imps) into safe distance and watch the fireworks. unless things get really out of control, we dont need to interfere. also take bets on winner (and yes, mortals can bet their soul. if they win, they will keep it. if not, it goes to us. we, naturally, bet nothing so it is win-win for us)
>>
>>2303801
Make a roll for the wager if you want to stake people's souls. You can't bet nothing though.
>>
Rolled 72 (1d100)
>>2303814
ugh, fine, if we cant bullshit our way around it... can we summon and bet lots of hell gold? if not, we bet one goon soul (i am asuming here soul is requiered if gold is not enough)
>>
>>2303822
Want me to roll anon?
>>
>>2303822
You can offer up whatever you want to, and see if anyone takes up on it. Usually in these sorts of situations, the wager is for something like a wish though. It can be gold if you want though, but you'd have to see if anyone is willing to bet on that.
>>
>>2303835
well, if we are able to do wishes, do wish then... I am uncertain what we can or cannot do here (read: while party is still going strong)
>>2303834
i guess?
>>
>>2303839
As you are material, you cannot grant wishes, only still-immaterial infernals. Like your allies or minions. So in this case you could offer up the customary wish, but if you had to grant it, then you'd need to turn to someone else hopefully to grant it in your stead.
We could be the prize anon
:^)
We've barely participated so the ones that bet get all of our attention privately
>>
>>2303852
you did gud, Khorne approves
>>2303849
one of our friends/followers can take care of that then. If everything is legit, lets go to the fun part then
>>
>>2303862
weeeeel or we can offer this to.
>>2303849
you know what? just give them mixed bag of goodies to choose from . gold, wish, sexy time... we are doing it just to spice things anyway, now the figting
>>
>>2303864
Very well then, so who do you want to take the bet on? I would assume you are not going to offer prize to both sides, so which do you want to take bets against, expecting them to lose? Either the bull man or the giant spider, both seem pretty tough and dangerous.
>>
>>2303870
is spider venomous? if yes, bull dies. if not, spider dies. unless there are other abilities i am not aware of atm. (but realistically, it is jmore or less just coin toss right now)
>>
>>2303870
I would vote for bull man but i dunno
>>
>>2303870
Betting bullman wins.
Because spider obviously has this
i am changing for bull too then, no reason for stalling
Looks like bull man has slight majority. So to see how he fares. Less than 50, he loses, above 50 he wins.
>>
>>2303985
...and now i wonder if we lost or won? because those votes are confusing as fuck
>>
>>2304004
A win, you won. And for the wagered offer on your behalf, you managed to lure more than a few into betting. The fight was a gruesome one, and good thing you moved folks out of the way in time, but people are less concerned about their safety and more about the show, which they all enjoy immensely. In the end though despite a fearsome effort from both, the bull man barely manages to scrape through alive, for you to proclaim him the victor to mixed cheers and despair.
In any case, you won the souls (or ownership, for those lacking souls) of six beings. You can either follow up on that now or resume with what you were doing earlier, though the wager stands so it's not like anyone can weasel their way out.
>>
>>2304018
>six souls get
whoa
ok... well, they knew the risk, so we are sorry but fair is fair. rewards were pretty damn good afterall. tell them to not despair tho, we will be in touch (we will contact them through imps if we need something, just get general info who are these people and if any of them is significant somehow).
then resume what we were doing, time ti finally talk with merryl, our son and co.
>>
>>2304039
For what it's worth, it could prove to be an admirable gesture if you're lenient about the souls. After all, you played for keeps, so it kind of comes off as rigged to onlookers. Maybe you don't care, but it could impact your reputation in either way.
Whatever the case though, you finally go to seek out those two rascals and close others. Make a roll for seeking them out.
Lovey dovey indeed! You search around for the two of them, starting where they had been, but no sight. You suspect something untoward, but looking farther around, you find the guilty couple. It seems they wanted some privacy, and in their seclusion had given over to urges and made sordid love in the dark of the early morning, hidden among the rubble and overgrowth of the ruins. Not hidden from you though, but what you didn't expect was anything more than that, actual affection. You'd shoved Merryl off on Vauma hoping for some lusty tryst to get lost in shameful passion, not to have dearly made love and now snuggling together affectionately and pleasantly talking after about this and that while catching their breath and glistening with sweat in the waning moonlight. It's not as though they fell in true love, but they certainly formed a strong connection and bond together, and are infatuated with each other. Well, at least from what you can sense, spying them from behind a wall and listening to them talk about themselves and each other.
>>
>>2304064
Time for mom walk-in scene!
>Aren't you two cute
>I wouldn't have minded seeing my cute little Merryl squeal under my son
>They grow so fast
>Anyways, glad to see your both getting along
>Did i make a good job on her, son?
>>
>>2304084
that... is just horrible. Easy going and a bit mischievous is fine, but this sounds more like Merryl is just piece of meat and not somebody we deeply care about. And since she and Vauma get along very well, we should be quite more respectful.
Also I need to get out, will be back in about an hour...
>>
>>2304092
I felt it was in more of a teasing tone, cuz Merryl kinda still is our cute Witch
Also going to bed, G'night
>>
>>2304110
>still our witch
>implying
Not anymore, she's for the BDC
>>
>>2304110
fine, fine, I will just tweak it a little bit
>>2304064
Sneak on them silently, lean against appropriate surface (wall, tree,...) and just smirk and let them continue to cuddle for a while until they notice us.
When they do, just smile even more and apologize for intrusion, but damn, they are so cute and adorable together we couldnt help ourselves.
Then turn around, give them time to present themselves (if they want, that is, shameless lovers) and continue with "how we were a teeny tiny bit worried if they actually will get along, but we are glad our doubts were baseless" and then mostly towards Merryl "So... I believe we need to work on your demon summoning skills from now on?" wink wink, tease them both a little (gently).
When they finally stop blushing, sputtering, or trying to murder us, get down on business - they obviously enjoyed the party, but their thoughts on the matter are appreciated anyway.
>BDC
Benzenedicarboxylate?
I told you guys this party was a good idea. Now if only you had listened all those other times, like killing Merryl.
>>
I am tired to death but before I go to bed, there is little plan concerning the six new followers we won in that spider vs bullboy bet. We should tackle this along the coven thing after we are done with mingling, but I digress...
From the little OP told us so far, our followers/property are mix of mortals and creatures. And we may earn some bad PR if we dont give their souls back / set them free.
I suggest we set monsters free and get rid of them. As for the mortals, we will change their memories in such a way they will think we gave them souls back, but then we made a deal. For their souls we gave them health, strenght, and good looks, and now everybody is happy. Bottom line is, we dont want to part with so many earned souls, so it is time to trickery and mindrape.
Also - claim a piece of this party place as our domain so we can tellyporta between here and our mansion. It should speed things considerably next time we will make celebrations.
And with that I am off, night anons.
>>
>>2304064
Also, is the bullman up for recruitment? We could use such a fine specimen to our ranks
>>
>>2305309
You could probably get him to, considering you backed him in the fight. Though, what would you want him for? Might be a bit hard to conceal.
>>2304169
>>2304084
So you sneak up on the lovebirds and let them catch you, in order to tease them. However, Vauma already expects such a thing from you and only Merryl has some initial embarrassment. Pretty soon, her following his lead, they actually end up deriding you and turning it back around. At least they had a nice time and have one another, what have you got? Spent all night dancing around to different guests to make them happy, nothing for yourself as good as they have.
That's why your spying now right, because you're jealous of what they have? Don't hang around too long before it starts to hurt, they can hear your guests asking for more refills to their drinks and someone to clean up the mess they made.
That bastard. You want to torture the both of them for their insolence. You won't let it get to you though, right? This is your party, your success for the evening, nobody can ruin that. They had something special? Well so do you, with... well, it doesn't matter! They can only spend time together tonight, you're up here for as long as you like and free to do whatever you want.
So to Hell with them! What now, to get your mind off things?
>>
Also a heads up, thread is on page 10 now so will drop off the board pretty soon. I plan to make the next thread, though for Valentine's Day I may try to do a one shot type of quest which is unrelated to this, in which case this one will be delayed a bit.
It will depend on some factors, but the best way of course to know for sure what the situation is, would be to join the discord if you haven't already. Probably better than waiting for the next thread which may be longer than expected, or missing it entirely.
>>
>>2306088
Join the discord y'all
>>
>>2305699
More soldiers!
>Dead serious tone
>We're having a talk later Merryl
>Evil squint
>Watch her squirm
>Laugh cuz it's a joke
Now let's hang with the witches until this is done, get to know em further and stuff, also check on Elgara
>>
>>2305699
Such insolence! Next time we party we will leave them both locked up in mansion. That will teach them lots of new and interesting sexual positions!
But teasing or not, they do have a point we are atm forever alone with many playthings and sort of / close friends but dont truly love anybody. An secretly we are longing for our own prince charming because in every demoness is naive innocent little girl
>>2306237
yes, lets go bother witches. I doubt we will do it in this thread but it will be nice opener for next.
But srsly, do we even want to pursuit love or any form of more serious relationship at all? Because I am not sure if Amman is even capable of this. Sure, she likes her playthings and friends a lot, but mortal life is such a fleeting and fragile thing these poeple are more pets. We spoil them, protect them, help them achieve greatness, brutally avenge them if somebody kills them, but... On the aother hand we have no qualms to torture, kill, or mind rape them ourselves if it suits our goals (or they do or think stupid things).
Deep down, Amman is broken and I see her as really nice, but still socio/psychopath.
>>
>>2307353
If we go full human ritual, we could since we're human at that point
Dunno if we will, although it's a good way to create a pure soul
Once the baby is out we go demon again and get back on track
>>
>>2307363
Having soul and being not right in the head is not mutualy exclusive.
>>
>>2307417
9 months of being human could mellow it out
>>
>>2307353
Broken by human standards maybe, but everyone seems to forget that we're a DEMON
