Hi, sorry for starting so late, I started having fun with dragon ball fighter z and just lost the sense of time as i had fun with the story mode. I really liked it, if it was a liiiittle bit repetitive and predictable. Anyway, it was fun all the same.

We have her pull out a simple dress and cover up, while Tanis and Tien walk over. The ship is still quite high, but it looks like Grumnir is circling it around to land.

Well, the landing is the hardest part, specially for a novice, so its understandable that it will take a while.

"You two did a great job." - we say to our dragon girls as they reach us, and give them each a kiss.
"Eh... that's all, so stingy~" - complains Tanis
"We're not really alone right now. Later, I'll keep you company until you're sattisfied."
"Alright." - she replies with a smile
"Ah, in that case, me too! I want Master to pet my head more!" - says Tien
"Yes, yes." - we pet her head

Radiant lands nearby and approaches, then rubs his head against us, also wanting headpats.

"..." - Spelth'Gagaron seems to 'nod, and begins shrinking, quickly taking on a humanoid form

Well, rather than a human, it turns into an elf with bright green hair and golden eyes. She's also much taller and curvier than any elf you've seen before, being 6'2" with her feet flat on the grass. Her wings and tail match her pale skin, looking soft and smooth rather than covered in scales.

"Oh wow look at me, I'm so tall and curvy, am I not the hottest?" - Tanis in falsetto - "We can all do that if we feel like it, don't you have any imagination to come up with something a little original?"
"Oh wow, look at that, the low level bitch doesn't has any love for the classics."

Spelth'Gagaron's silky green hair was lifted by the wind, and her lightly smiling pretty face seemed to melt into a frown. Her snow-white skin's faint golden glow dimmed, and those innocent eyes, seemingly pure enough to make anyone’s heart ache and believe that she was as pure as unblemished snow, shine with a dark glow as she looks at us.

"M-my treasure, lord?" - she stutters
"Yes. I own you now, so isn't it obvious? Or would you rather prefer for passing-by travelers to pick it up?"
"...but, either way is a little..."

Tanis can't help but feel as if she had been pumped full of energy all of a sudden, standing on her tiptoes as she walks around as lightly as a feather, practically bouncing between steps.

"Yes, we belong to Master now, so that's no longer 'your' treasure anymore, you know? Besides, what do you want it for, was it your funds for starting a family, or was granny thinking of passing it down to his grandchildren instead?"

Dragons in this world need to consume gold and gems while trying to lay fertilized eggs. They actually have a use for treasure, rather than being magpies who are simply attracted to shiny stuff.

"Hnn... " - it is Spelth'Gagaron's turn to feel as if she was shrinking when she looks at us and sees that we're perfectly serious about it - "t-this way..."

We nod, and even Tanis nods behind us. Tien has no idea what the adults are worrying about.

While we are talking, the ship finally lands (a somwhat bumpy landing), and after it stops, Grumnir and Miiyau jump down from the deck.

The ship is actually laying on its side in the ground, you know? I don't even want to think about all the stuff that fell off the shelves and tables. It wasn't meant to actually 'land', but to float/hover a foot or so above ground, instead.

"Oh, lad, good work!" - Grumnir congratulates us after seeing Spelth'Gagaron. I guess that he sees the [Eldric's Pet] tag next to her name now, uh?
"Everyone alright? Its anyaone hurt?"

Looking back at Lyann, her [Regeneration] buff already healed her completely, and it also erased her bite marks. Well, they were more like bite marks/punishment though, so let's refresh them later tonight.

"We're fine." - replies Lyann when we look at her.
"Nyaice! In that case, should we start setting up camp? Its growing late, isn't it?"

Lyann heads back to the boat with Grumnir and Miiyau, then starts it up and moves it into position.

"Eldric." - she calls to us from the cabin, looking at us through one of the round windows - "I'll leep the ship circling in the area, so contact me through the [collar] when you want me to land, alright?"

We nod, and head out, having sent Tanis and Tien back into our [Menagerie]

"Uhmm... what was that about gifting Spelth'Gagaron to your younger sibling?"
"Yes, I already have three dragons, after all. I will feel reassured if you take care of my little sister, so that's who will become your final master after this."

Oh, that's right... well, mom lets Stella and Zoe go into the dungeon regularly for training, and the university has dungeondiving expeditions as part of its curriculum, so it should be alright? I think.

Well, Athena is almost 12. same age as Stella, and while her level isn't as high, its still quite amazing for the standard of this world. I get the feeling she wants to join father's party, so it should be fine, yes?

Not to dump on him too much, but he’s just doing dungeon diving as a day job, so he’s not going to be bringing Athena on any good raids for epic loots.

Grandpa may be going down to epic raid levels of the Keep’s dungeon, but that’s the only place he’s grinding at, so drops are going to be higher qualities of the same stuff.

We need to aggressively hit those raid dungeons and get stronger. We need XP Boosting items so that we can exceed everyone else, because we can’t trust most of the other high-level people to do the job right.

Finally, aside from us not choosing to give Spelth’Gagaron to Athena (that wasn’t really put up to a vote), trapping her in to an owner that won’t really be getting rare metal and gem drops, when we know it’s a vital part of the dragon reproductive cycle, seems pretty absent-minded when we’ve been trying to get Eldric to be more mature. We haven’t even asked if she was saving it for herself to have a child, or for any children she already has.
Tanis, at least, told us she didn’t want to have a child when we Tamed her.

Are you surprised by the fact Athena's a daddy's girl? Besides, he's leveling properly now, and while he's limited to the dungeons in the city or surroundings, he's still doing the deepest floors he can do (safely) every day.

Is not like Athena wants to be a full time dungeondiver/adventurer as an adult, anyway. She wants to be an opera singer.

This is mostly true, though grandpa does dive into the dungeons around the keep to "poke them" and force them level up by constantly reaching the core room (and thus freaking the dungeons about needing to be deeper) so they're better [ERROR] traps for when the time comes.

So while yes, his pool of loot is limited (to 5 different dungeons), its not as limited as just the 1 dungeon, though.

Well, I wanted to have Spelth ask about us keeping her next, since we mentioned to her now that we're handing her over, so the vote would come in the next post or soon after.

Also, I was thinking on renaming her Spelth, or something else, and ask for ideas. So, ideas?

Spelth'Gagaron nods with a somewhat worried expression.
Well, its entrance being under the water level its an easy and effective way to keep it hidden. Crocs do the same back on Earth, after all. Ah, but if the whole thing its submerged all the time, we'll need to use our last potion of [Waterbreathing] or take one of our pet's accessories.

Come think of it, can we even use their stuff? It is clearly made as pet accessories, and seems to use different slots, since we couldnt just hand them regular adventurer gear.

For an example, there’s a raid dungeon supposedly somewhere in the ocean. We should send a scout ship with a tree there.

And we need to interrogate our family butler about XP Boost items, as well as using our position and resources as Duke of Mantequira to fund research scholars to collect rumors and stories of XP Boosting artifacts that we can hunt down.

No, my argument is that seriously considering Athen tagging along with Dad would be sufficient to properly feed a dragon wanting to have children is ludicrous, and a poor excuse.

And that she doesn’t want to really dingeondive anyway is an even bigger argument against giving Spelth to Athena. That’s like giving a big dog that needs lots of attention and stimulation to a person that wants to be a performer/businessperson that does lots of traveling.

Well, some status and poisons just cant be avoided. For example... ah I dont know the english word, but... no matter how strong our body stats are, we still need oxygen, so we'd suffocate and die in an empty espace. We drink the potion, and signal Spelth'Gagaron to submerge.

The entrance to her lair is fairly deep, but we can still see the shine of sunlight far above. Interestingly, there's actually quite a large number of large predatorial fish and other monsters in this river.

We had never heard about common rivers being this dangerous. Perhaps they stick to this depth, or is it that they just don't attack prey that they aren't used to?

Even white sharks won't normally attack humans, after all. Ah, but they'll give us a bite before they determine "this low-fat, tasteless crap is so much worse than a seal," though.

Either way, they quickly swim away into the darkness when Spelth swims by with us clinging to her back. The tunnel to her lair is long and twisted, but we eventually emerge inside her lair.

There's air here, and the walls are covered with glowing moss, so its bright enough to see without much trouble, albeit everything is tinted with a greenish glow. The walls are carved on the living rock, so its easy to guess that our new dragon dug this place herself. The floor is pretty smooth, though. It doesn't has any textures, so she must have flattened it somehow.

There's a short ramp leading to a higher level, where we can see the treasure lying on several piles to the sides, about as tall as an elf.

Eh, she doesn't sleep on top of it? Insgead, it is neatly arranged into piles, though rather than by value, it is clear that the piles are arranged by materials. Thus, there's several piles of iron, steel, copper, brass, etc (obviously, steel and iron are the most common, as adventurers tend to carry such gear after all), while gold and, gems and more "valuable" materials are actually in the minority.

Indeed, if you are gathering ores for biological reasons, it would look like this, right?

Like both Miel II and Tanis told us, they don't feel an emotional connection to their children born using the [Menagerie].
So, not letting Spelth have a child the natural way would be denying her the emotional connection she wants with her child, and would be the action of a bad Master.

It would be like, after a person says they really want to experience Italian gourmet and they've been saving up money for years for a trip to Italy, you take their money and give them a plate of spaghetti made from the cheap pasta and spaghetti sauce sold by the grocery store down the street.

"Ah, big brother!" - she calls out happily and runs over, then stops right in front of us - "Are you alright? You look like you had been rolling around in mud."
"Eldric, what took you so long? You left Zoe waiting for you for quite a while." - chides Ellie from the side

Right, we took a while, plus we were diving into the river shore muddy water. We're pretty dirty right now.
