The Raiders – Part 41

You're not certain how much you care any more.

Check that; it is an oversimplification. You're not entirely certain how much you care about holding back the utilization of your abilities any longer. There are too many issues that you have solutions to that cause problems you would rather solve than live with. That this last has resulted in your entire Cadre and Yzia deciding they would rather defy the rules that your society lives by rather than reveal your power to those who would inquire too deeply of them is an interesting and surprising situation. You've held a lot of personal loyalty before, but this was....uniquely unexpected.

Still, with Schechei no longer mated nor laboring under a curse to be mated to whomever she has sex with next, Falna's death, and Malnae's return the Smiths for storage, you've been given a few new opportunities and possible ways to proceed. While technically your Cadre is still large enough to be effective, another member would smooth things out considerably, especially if he or she was on par with Auena's skill. You do have promises to keep after all, and it would be much easier if you had another hand to watch the acolytes.

Speaking of which, Schechei is still your acolyte, and requires training from you specifically, while Auena has work to accomplish with Kteine. Schechei's feelings for Kteine, pronounced as they might have been during the hallucinations and spells you used to break her mating rituals, are an issue for another day and most likely not going to be your problem as long as Yashi keeps from interfering as she has said she would. You don't necessarily believe her, but it wouldn't be a serious issue.

The 'Twins' and Yzia will be making arrangements to distribute Falna's wealth, debts, and promises, while you are deciding on whether or not you are actually going to do this thing. This thing, of course, being the collection of another Cadre member. Specifically Lywedra, a capable and skilled warrior who has what is commonly called a sword-bonding with you. She prefers men, but on occasion a connection is forged during battle lust that lasts a while. Not a mating, no, but an attachment nonetheless. Not surprising – you were her first in a number of ways, and you saved her life. It's less a debt (though there is that too) and more of a willing acceptance of power over her that you possess.

Personally you suspect another holdover from your species time among the enemy, but you've never delved deeply into that.

The others are sorting out the camp, as Falna's slaves are either a liability, a resource, or an imposition; Yzia's pretty Rana is helping there, being the head slave that she is. The girl definitely knows how to run a harem at least. She's made life among slaves a lot more pleasant than you usually experience, mostly because she keeps them out of your way. Not that you hate them, they're just....perhaps too easily targets of convenience.

You are hard on your property, it's true.

Laughing softly in your mind, Siobhan agrees in song, and you flex your hands. She suggested you deliver your 'request' for Lywedra's reassignment in person sans her presence, though you've re-prepared a number of spells and powers. You're running low on the Elder Power, but it would be unwise to use much of it currently. On the other hand your Battle-magic Sense is active, and you have learned to marshal your arcane force much more efficiently in the past hour, affording you the ability to Quicken magics more often. With Shield, Blade Tutor, and the ever helpful Displacement spells, along with your Battle=magic Sense you are most likely the equal of a High Lord Knight. Which Lywedra's Leader is not; he's a Knight, but only mid-ranked, meaning he is in fact your subordinate in rank and title alike.

And the knights have been especially pushy these past few hundred turns.

[] Take Siobhan anyways. Why invite trouble by looking less dangerous than you are?
[] Do not take Siobhan – you aren't trying to terrorize the knight, after all, just exert authority.
[] See Dunzamn first and inform him of what you will be doing; the Supreme Leader is a High Lord Knight himself, after all.
[] See if Siobhan can commune with the Silver Sword Lywedra's cadre Leader Talvek and learn anything of use to you.
[] It might be worthwhile to have Yashi take a peek at Talvek's doings before you cause trouble – the little voyeur has ways, no doubt.
[] Write in?
Siobhan is anticipating you giving the little shit a mild beat-down at most....she wants to see how the knights react to your pushing back!

Akko, Akatmosoko, like all her kind, has a measure of psychic ability. She will simply use most of these powers without prompting, instinctively, when appropriate. Her spells are another matter.
>She is a high ranking Gish, and may give orders to low ranking Knights; mid-ranked Warriors; high ranking Spellcasters, Skulkers, and Murderers; and any Gish lower ranked than herself.
>True Silver Sword: Siobhan
Siobhan offers her opinions and advice on matters when a vote is called for, drawing on Akko's potent intellect and voicing subconscious thoughts for her to consider.

Hm, it's a bit tricky. Right now we've managed to somehow get everyone in our cadre agree to keep our secret even though there would (probably) be backlash if it got out that they knew. But at the same time, that sword-bond thing Lywedra has is probably solid enough if we don't get too crazy, since even if Akko is started to get bored of having a secret identity, I'm pretty sure she's not going to casually risk being exposed.

That being said, isn't our agenda kind of
>Go to the Elan and complete the tutorial illusion of what it would be like if we were an Elan, and have her heal Tzanzi as agreed
>Figure out a way for us, Tzanzi, and I think maybe Yashi to defeat the Elder Githyanki
>If we're still alive and not exposed, continue raiding
But then again, Akko isn't really a pessimist so there's no reason not to assume we'll be able to win somehow, and it's probably a good idea to get Lyweda integrated sooner rather than later.

Also hi XS, have you started to feel a bit better or is it still at the "really painful" part of the healing process?
>>
>>2251103
Akko won't be going to meet the elan until at least 10 hours have passed. She can't recharge the Elder Power without real rest, and she won't meet the elan without having all her power at hand.

I'm at the painful part. Missing bone is painful to heal even with painkillers that I'm not immune to.

[X] It might be worthwhile to have Yashi take a peek at Talvek's doings before you cause trouble – the little voyeur has ways, no doubt.
[X] Take Siobhan anyways. Why invite trouble by looking less dangerous than you are?

Finding Yashi isn't difficult; despite the activity of the day, she is at the tent, studying her spell books and inscribing into them her own magical thoughts and theories as well as developing new spells. Unlike the sweeping geometries and delicate lines of your sorcerous markings, hers are intensely compact and – to you – largely meaningless marks that are layered one over the other in rows, columns, and diagonals. The ink she uses is thick, meaning when she paints over one layer, there is a distinct mark made over other parts, and the layers are as significant as the character and ideograms themselves, you suspect.

You settle nearby, watching her work, and she acknowledges your presence with a faint telepathic sensation of 'awareness', but she does not interrupt her work. It is actually soothing to watch, her movements precise and careful, deliberate yet unceasing. It's the kind of thing you find a personal joy in; you just happen to enjoy combat just as much. But the life of a wizard or illusionist wouldn't have been unsuitable to you. Just not active enough.

Siobhan gently teases you for being a misty eyed old hag.

When she finishes she sets the thick spell-book down and lets the inks dry, turning on her knees to face you curiously. “Are a capable seer, Yashi? I want to know some things about Talvek before I go blundering into his camp and snatching pretty warriors out from under him.”

Talvek, she comments mildly, and the name is fraught with derision, barely managed competence, and traces of a domineering personality that is the result of a less than capable egotism. A particularly common sort of Leader, the type who is simple, brutal, direct, and capable only through the merits of those who serve him. Most of those who would serve with him are indebted to him in one way or another, or forced to serve through fear and threat. If your warrior is the latter, there should be no issues, but he is loathe to let go of those whom he believes owe him ought.

Her commentary is colored by the images of him as a capable warrior, though not a particularly cunning one. His spells and power are often used mid-combat, instead of in preparation for combat, though his Touch of Corruption and the Cruelties he inflicts are particularly potent. You frown mildly. “You speak as though you know him; nothing I need worry about, I take it?”
>>
We served together in defense of the Stronghold against an incursion of fiends. He was....aggressively interested in me. I dissuaded him thoroughly. The grudge sticks, but he will never do anything about it, only nurse the wound for the sake of inflating his egotism even further. She frowns, her delicate lips turning down rather cutely. From you, however, such an offense might make him an easy tool for other knights to goad into foolish acts. It certainly wouldn't be the first time they have done so, would it?

Recalling the incidents at the stronghold – Yashi's coincidental recruitment attempt, Yustuoc's rape, the repeated warnings – you tend to agree with her. “That makes observing him even more worthwhile.”

She reaches into the satchel next to her and pulls out a small wooden box. Opening it, she reveals a gruesome selection of crystal vials, each filled with a dollop of blood and flesh: sapphire and white of your own kind, pale lymph and delicately iridescent flesh of elf, thick blue-black ichor and dark grey flesh of orc, red and ruby of a variety of humanoids, and – to your surprise – the phlegmatic, rubbery integument and clear ichors of an enemy. Yashi smiles at your surprise, but does not say anything as she takes one vial of your species flesh and blood from the racks.

You may watch, but you will see nothing; the Scrying is not a shared vision. I haven't brought my personal mirror – it is unwieldy at best. This will take some twenty minutes or so.

[] Stay and watch her work. There's plenty to admire aside from the spell.
[] Wander the encampment; it might provide some entertainment.
[] Your neighbor Joerno might have some insight into Talvek as well; he seems the gossipy sort.
[] You have your own spell-work to do, actually, and it will pass the time pleasantly.
[] Auena's request for Silver Gauntlets is intriguing. You can plan out those for her.
[] Write in?
Siobhan is patiently waiting for the show to start, really; she's fine with you making busy work.

[X] Auena's request for Silver Gauntlets is intriguing. You can plan out those for her.
[X] Write in? Your personal slaves might do with some minding, returned to the universe as they have been....

“I'll return shortly then,” you comment, rising in place. Yashi watches you rise calmly....and then freezes as you slide your hand into the soft, tangled locks at the back of her head and grip tightly. You look into her eyes and bare your spurs at her, before delivering a fierce, almost bruising kiss. She makes a soft, shocked noise deep in her throat, half chirp of fear, half mewling noise of need. You grin as you leave her to her work, cheeks flushed and nipples hard under the silk she wears.

It is of little surprise to you that of all your slaves, it is Mayune who has the greatest difficulty adjustign to the physical universe. She's been in the Astral most of her life, and not permitted any opportunity to gather her magics or spells to mind, save for the few cantrips she has kept for a very long time. You pull the bracelet from your belt and walk up behind her as she carefully stacks small packages of dried foods and hard breads for the slaves.

She stiffens as you move up behind her, sliding your hand from buttock to side and then to arm, wrapping that arm about her own waist. The other you close the bracelet upon, locking it in place, and making her shiver in terror. It doesn't even seem to have occurred to her that she might be able to restore her magical powers at all. “What do you dream of, Mayune?”

The beautiful slave trembles in your arms as you slowly embrace her, her wrists caught in your gloved hands, held fast. She doesn't even try to resist; you are so much stronger than her that she is a fragile butterfly in your gentle grip. “I dream of blood and pain and lust, and fire and ice, my lady,” she whispers softly, ashamed to admit that she's dreamed at all. “I dream of how you made me yours forever, ruined me and made me what I am.”

“Where is your sister-slave?” you murmur softly, guiding her hands up to her full breasts. For a human, she is supposedly lower to middle aged, a prodigy of a wizard. Mayune was once a powerful wizard, a force to be reckoned with. She should have stayed out of the Astral Planes. She trembles, pressed along your armored body, but whatever pains that may cause are unvoiced. Mayune's terror is sharp and acrid along the back of your throat, and you slowly kiss your way from nape of neck to upper arm, extending it slowly out. All she does is tremble.

“....L-lady R-Rana has Cyrillian t-taking care of the p-prisoners,” she whispers fearfully, as your other hand guides hers to the place between her legs, spreads her hand under yous to cup gently.

“If you attempt to take off the bracelet, I will nail it to the bones in your wrist,” you murmur, for no other reason than to horrify the woman.

Her voice is a tight, desperate whisper as you pull her hand in so that you may kiss her fingers one by one, the bracelet glittering malevolently. “Y-yes, miss-mistress....” she whispers, shivering and already warm at her crux. You let your fingers caress Mayune's sex through the glimmering weaves of silvery material she wears, and you release her to her work. It is of no moment to ignore how she nearly collapses and her breaths hitch as you walk away. She's allowed to be overwrought when you pay attention to her.

Three of the cells are occupied, two holding a half-dozen of the elven youths. The third holds two others separate: Yzia's princess, a languid, lovely thing even more delicate of build and strange of mien than the others, and Tzanzi's pick, a sleek femme that has a faintly aware look in her eyes, just on the edge of achieving sentience. The elven skulker is heavily drugged in a fourth cell, far away from the others, and incapable of any trouble-making.

Cyrillian is bathing the elven princess and her companion, and they are not quite assisting her in the effort, more fascinated by touching one another. Not sexually, no, but seeming to be fascinated by each other's flesh and builds. It's almost erotic: their movements slow, deliberate, and innocently sensual. Cyrillian is naked as well, the serpentine creature trapped in half-elven flesh and blood deliberate and slow in her work. It's a rather arousing sight to see.

Schechei is there as well, to provide protection and egress presumably, and she is watching with some interest as well.

[] Sit with Schechei and watch, see if she is interested in talking.
[] Have Schechei let your slave out so you can talk with her.
[] Go talk to the skulker – she's promised a heavy were-guild after all, and it might be fun to collect.
[] Go over to the Wall of Force and speak to Cyrillian; you don't need to keep her from her work long.
[] Skip Cyrillian for the moment and go see to Yustuoc; you have orders for her.
[] Write in?

Man we went all in on breaking Mayune.
Also I'm half-surprised that Akko wouldn't take on the challenge of letting Mayune recover all her spells and trying to dominate, but considering that if Mayune would be able to do anything, she'd be far more likely to try to flee instead of flight, I guess there wouldn't be any thrill to it.
>>
>>2251209
I dunno, hunting down escaped slaves can be fun too...of course, I'm pretty sure that course of action is locked to us now, since I can't see Mayune trying anything however much Akko might enable her. And if she did, she'd probably be pathetically easy to subdue.

[XX] Sit with Schechei and watch, see if she is interested in talking.
[X] Go talk to the skulker – she's promised a heavy were-guild after all, and it might be fun to collect.

You walk to where Schechei kneels, watching your slave bathe the two elven childer, and kneel as well. Schechei only glances at you, saying nothing, but returns to the view before her. Tiagothe, her Silver Sword, sings softly in greeting to you and Siobhan, who purrs and song in return. Like you, Schechei is fully armed and armored, her crystalline mail and preference for dark clothing making her a lovely study.

“She's not actually a human, is she?” You glance at Schechei curiously. “Cyrillian, I mean.”

“Technically she is supposed to be half-elven, but no, that is not what she is,” you readily admit. “One of her previous masters learned that. He bifurcated her tongue as a comment about the issue. A rather unique experience, if you are of a mind to try it, incidentally.” Schechei smiles faintly. “I am curious as to what gave her away.”

Schechei glances at you, but you remain stoic, revealing nothing of your thoughts on the matter. Turning back to your slave, who is looking down at the tangle of elf at her feet with some mild annoyance, considers carefully. “Her stillness. When she isn't moving, she is perfectly still. No fidgeting, no twitches, no movement aside from breathing. Not even ancients of our kind are that still. She forgets to blink sometimes, and it pains her. It wasn't so obvious before your ritual, but it is....she is both more human seeming, and less human acting.”

“You are a very perceptive person, Schechei. Most would not notice such tiny details at this distance.” She inclines her head at the compliment. “I think that is a talent you should continue to cultivate, and I would recommend taking up studies of various peoples and races as well. Seeing through the guises and spells of others is a skill that many discount to quickly. The enemy cannot be underestimated, and a slight flaw in an illusion or mental image can destroy their plans quickly.” Her eyes widen as she watches Cyrillian separate the tangled elves by the simple expedient of dumping a bucket of water on them. “You may have the sharpest eyes of any githyanki I have seen. You may wish to consider utilizing that talent further.”
>>
“If you mean, becoming a lancer or archer, I already thought about it. I prefer close combat, honestly. It might not be the best use of my talents, but I don't enjoy killing at distance. Kteine does that much better than I do in any case.” The faint smirk is involuntary, but quickly hidden. “I think that's part of why I have a hard time working with others. I focus on single targets.”

“Not necessarily a bad thing. We need to adapt your magic to the style, that is all. While a great many focus on a few close combat spell-strikes, there are other spells that increase the chances of a close combat fight's success indirectly. I'll teach them to you, and you'll find that you'll have less issues than before. It takes time and effort to prepare for fights of th sort you prefer, so you'll have to become more thoughtful about that as well.” You glance at her hair and then reach over, sliding your hand into the mussed locks. Not wild as Yashi's is wild, only artfully mussed. There's a touch of vanity there. “You know, you may wish to simply leech your hair white entirely with a cantrip.”

She leans into your caress slightly, accepting the touch as comfort rather than invitation. “I'll wait. Kteine's hair is still growing out as well.” You stroke the soft locks, the band of white gleaming in the firelight. “I think I may eventually pursue a relationship with Kteine. Do you think Yashi will be....well, cause trouble?”

[] Of course she will – that's what she does. But object? No.
[] What do you think?
[] You could ask Yashi, you know. They're not lovers, if that's what you're asking.

[XX] What do you think?
[X] Of course she will – that's what she does. But object? No.
[X] Write in? I believe you're over-complicating things, and underestimating others. Still, it is a good question....

A faint smile crosses your lips. She is far less adversarial than she used to be – again, making you question exactly what Falna might have done – but her question is less about whether or not Yashi will object than it is about whether Schechei would have to put her in her place. Which is a fair thing to consider, as Yashi does rank as an equal to her technically, but is far more decorated. Older and more cunning are the real dangers of course, and Schechei seems to get that as well, which is a good thing.

“What do you believe would happen?”

Your question doesn't catch her off guard, and she frowns, biting a thumbnail as she considers. She takes her time, which allows you to watch the rather lovely sight of Cyrillian oiling down the princess, which the princess seems to enjoy quite thoroughly. Nor does Cyrillian spare oil or skin....or orifices. The look on the princess face is quite hilarious when Cyrillian performs said oiling in the least accessible places.

“I suspect that Yashi would allow it whether or not it bothers her, and come after me with convoluted, dangerous schemes later. I think that if I let my guard down even slightly, and she held a grudge, I would be placed in dangerous and difficult positions. I am simply....I just don't know if that would actually be the case or not. Yashi is hard to understand, and she distracts me if she suspects I'm trying to.” She looks down, and then sidelong at you. “How long have you known Yashi?”

“Slightly longer than I have known you.” She looks at you and stares, and you lower your hand to your thigh. “I do not see why this should be a surprise. I am an aloof person at best, and at worse outright reclusive. But I do understand her mindset very well. I would not even pretend to understand her thoughts, but her mindset is another matter.”
>>
Schechei nods slowly, much like Kteine does when she's learning. “That is....quite a difference.”

“She is difficult to understand, but she is easy to predict. She will cause you trouble because that is how she survives eternity with limited recourse to learn and grow.” You smile as Cyrillian tries to convince the elven childer to display herself for you, but the childer is having none of that. “That said....Yashi is not interested in a mating with Kteine. They might enjoy sex together, but I would hardly call it lovemaking. To be honest I am not sure they do – not that she will not. I think she likes Kteine quite a bit. Enough to consider involving you in a plot to be not worth while if it would bother Kteine.”

Schechei nods, quickly putting two and two together. “Falna was a good target, but I wasn't, even though I wasn't with Kteine.”

“Just so. Yashi would not object. She might encourage it. You and your twin are unique, and alien. I can imagine her being fascinated enough to be more of a help than a hindrance to your reaching our to Kteine, Sexy. Incidentally, Kteine's battle lust drew her to a male. You may want to be aware of that when you suffer your own next time. Not that Yzia was not happy to assist in that.” Schechei glances at you curiously. “She is my adoptive daughter; I would not use her as a male would, even with zero risk of pregnancy. As a female I would be happy to indulge her, but that would be another matter.”

“What about me?” He voice is arch, almost sharp, a slight challenge. But curious, mostly. Tiagothe hums a soft warning to her wielder, but you reassure the weapon silently.

[] What about you?
[] Is that an offer, or a request?
[] Battle lust isn't the same as sex or play. If what you suspect is true, you might want a male too.
[] Careful what you ask for, you might get it, Sexy.
[] Kteine enjoyed it. No reason you won't.
[] Write in?
Siobhan doubts that a mating is the offering, but it might be fun if Schechei and Kteine adopted Yashi.

Siobhan always has great ideas!

I too Like the idea of adopting her but sadly not sure if it can really work anymore.
>>
>>2251281
What do you mean? I think we've already said similar things to Schechei before, haven't we?
>>
>>2251281

She's as much our daughter as Kteine is.

I guess but to me it is like she is the daughter that left the house at age 16 and kteine is still at home.

[XX] Battle lust isn't the same as sex or play. If what you suspect is true, you might want a male too.
[X] Is that an offer, or a request?
[X] Write in? Are you asking me to adopt you, or for more attention than merely that of an acolyte?

You smile slightly, and glance at her. “You do make a pretty pair, there's no doubt about that. I am not entirely sure if you are making me an offer or tendering a request though.” She looks startled. “I adopted Kteine at her request, not out of my own desires. Despite appearances I have no particular preference for my own flesh and blood – if I did, I would have it available.”

Schechei's reaction to that claim is interesting; it's at once obvious she feels like she should have an opinion on that and is somewhat confused by her lack of an opinion on that. “We are more homogeneous than humans, Schechei. Incest is not a danger for our kind, and we lack any sort of instinctual aversion to it. Living on the Astral as we do, the opportunities for it are more common as well – a father might end up being younger than a daughter, and a mother might end up as a mate for her own descendant. The breeders try and track that on occasion.”

“The concept is supposed to be repellent but it isn't,” she admits.

“You are a member of our species entirely. I was very thorough in my wording.” You unfold your legs and sit back, wrapping one arm about your knee as you watch Cyrillian try and disengage from an affectionate embrace by Tzanzi's new slave. Who is somewhat stronger than she is, and far more clingy, from the looks of it. “Still, if you wished me as your adoptive mother, I would hold the same rules for you – no chance of pregnancy, no refusal of affection. The former is less of an ethical question than a necessity, obviously, but the risk of me getting you pregnant would involve the potential for draconic manipulation or Yashi playing games.”

Understanding dawns in her expression at your explanation. “You and your twin are quite bright. Really much too good for Falna.” You look at her seriously. “Battle lust is not about pleasure or lust or love, really. It is an imperative, and you may not be as likely to go for a female as a male, you know. Yashi is old enough that she does not care, and I am a peculiar case. If you are correct about Falna, chances are you and your sister might both want males, despite your sexual preferences otherwise.”

She shrugs mildly. “We will find out next raid, won't we?”
>>
“Most likely. Chances are good I'll be in need as well.” Schechei looks dubious. “Oh, the next battle will be dangerous even for me. It might involve threats to life and limb for me and Tzanzi.”

“I still harbor doubts. But....I will think on what you have told me. I'm not really as impulsive as I might seem sometimes.” You nod and watch her rise, pulling a scroll from the case at her side and incanting a spell from it, manipulating the rock to allow passage through so that your pretty toy can receive some much needed assistance from Schechei before she gets groomed or assaulted by the elven childer who have now ganged up on her.

Rising, you leave your slave to her ignominious fate, and silently tell Schechei that she's welcome to enjoy Cyrillian's company if she wishes; her polite refusal is tinged with appreciation though, as well as a reminder that she and Kteine just inherited a large group of slaves they need to deal with. In the meantime you walk to the furthest cell on the other side, and pause, looking at the dark clad elven skulker contained within. There is a basin of water as well as a more comfortable bed, a privacy screen and a toiletry that can be closed off. She is unarmored, and her weapons and armor are resting close to the wall.

Eyes the color of green tinted obsidian gaze up at you, and you can see by her slow breaths and the tremor in her hands she is well and truly drugged. Something lethargy inducing, but leaving her mind mostly clear. Siobhan begins to sing threateningly and the elven woman shudders, looking away from you. Come now, you were eager enough to treat with me before. Do not become shy now. We have much to discuss, and I have other uses for this cell.

She turns back to you, and narrows her eyes, her ears laid back. “I did not intend to become prisoner to you.”

You are not. You are an honored guest. But there has been some turmoil, and it is safer for you there, believe me. That said, tell me what payment you are making for your were-gild, and I will consider the best place to release you from your captivity safely....

>To Be Continued....

Thank you for reading and playing. Imay continue tonight, if all goes well, but I am interrupted by dentistry this morning, checking on my post op work.

As a reminder, she has offered previously her Half-elven son as a slave, two weapon weight in cut emeralds (about 8 pounds of cut emeralds), or alternatively two weapon weight in emeralds and three fingers of her hand - enough flesh for a clone or a simulacrum spell.

Thanks for running, I'm glad Schechei no longer has that anchor tied around her, and even if we didn't get to chat, Cyrillian seems to be doing very well, but I guess there is something to be said for being aware of our power and potential for cruelty but also receiving a tremendous kindness. I think it's interesting that her Not!Yuan-Ti body language reinstated itself, though I'm not sure if that's something she had when she was originally meant to be an infiltrator.

Also, have you had a chance to watch the Netflix Godzilla thing yet, and if so your thoughts?

It's actually fairly interesting. Nice 'ending' and I would definitely count it as an acceptable addition to the legends.

It feels really different, even if there are a lot of nods to the old series, but that's not a bad thing. I also like that they're taking advantage of the animated medium to do things that previous Godzilla films were either unable or just didn't really want to do. And yeah, it had a great sequel hook, and unlike Shin Gojira it's one that they already plan to follow up on.
