General Rules

15 min voting period after each main post. Write-ins votes are welcomed/encouraged. Votes that are non-contradictory and add to the narrative will be considered. Think 'Rule of Cool'

Combat mechanics/skill test will be done using best 3 out of 5 rolls of 1d100, unless otherwise specified. Modifiers may come into play depending on the MC's statistics which can improve odds and vice versa as the QM sees fit. The QM will do their best to inform players of when such modifiers will come up during votes. (Example: Aim at a target at long range with a scattershot weapon will require a higher roll to make a successful hit than a normal blaster weapon).

Training with other bots and successful missions can add to your overall abilities. Strong character relationships with your comrades can also benefit the MC as it will improve battle synergy and moral (less likely to want to fall back/retreat). Of course the vice versa can come into play as well. A failed mission may have consequences but result in unforeseen outcomes (In the show, Tarantulus, Blackarachnia, & Quickstrike were supposed to secure an energon post. The Maximals interfered, resulting in the loss of the post BUT Tarantulus gained a new lair.). A Predacon can always sabotage missions to make other bots look incompetent as well, just hope you’re persuasive enough to do so and watch out for those

Also keep an eye out at your energon build up levels; too much time in robot mode outside of a structure, such as a base can cause negative impacts on your combat maneuvers/skill test, including potential loss of spark. In the event of loss of spark, pending the results of a vote, a time lapse in the narrative will happen and a new stasis pod will fall. (Roll for new character or with a high relation level, a blank protoform will descend and your allies will reignite your spark)

Last time on Beast Wars Quest
After getting your new drone (and in a little trouble with it) you, Airazor, and Cheetor have decided to venture out to set up a Listening device in Predacon territory....
>>
The snow is falling at a steady and gentle rate as Cheetor, Airazor and yourself are lowered from the ships elevator. The soft crunch of the powder emanates from the lift reaching its stop.

"Alright," Airazor states, "I'll lead the way to the site. We'll keep together close so not to get too far separated."

"I'll do my best to keep up with you two," Cheetor says as he leaps out into the built up snowfall. He shivers a bit; his beast mode's fur not exactly built for this type of weather. "As long as I keep moving I should be fine."

"Well then lets hit it!" You take off into the air. You and your avian gal pal take off with you on the right side and her taking point. Cheetor bounce runs through the snow as he does his best to keep up with you two. The snow level seems a bit deeper than it looks, up to his elbows, but with enough momentum, he's able to get himself out of the snow to run atop it.

"Deploying drone." You let your small drone out from behind your head allowing it to scout out a bit further up with Airazor. You figure you can utilize its sensors to see anything that your eyes might miss. Though even with the recent incursions into Maximal territory, you doubt the Preds would be out this far in this weather, especially if Dinobot was any indicator of his distaste for the weather.

>Keep radio silence; stealth until you reach the end of the snowy weather.

>Keep radio silence; stealth until you reach the end of the snowy weather.

As tempting as it is, bullying and chitchat is for when the job is done. You need to focus on the task at hand.

The flight is a quiet one as you make your way pass the forest area. Airazor only occasionally gives a few course corrections for you and Cheetor to follow, to avoid any of the usual land hazards that you would normally catch in normal conditions. Its more for Cheetor's benefit, seeing as he's more focused on staying atop the powder.

While this is going on you've been more attentive to your drone's scan signals. You do notice that its performing well, the weather isn't proving to be too strenuous on its circuitry. As predicted there's no sign of any other movement out here. You are interested to hear that is seems the scans indicate that your group is reaching the edge of the snowfall and the weather will be clearing up soon.

"We're still a ways out from the Predacon territory, but there's a few routes we can go. There's a rough mountain pass that might be trickier for Cheetor to take but will be easier to avoid notice. A way that cuts through the jungle marsh, which will take us longer but again, less likely to run into any Predacon patrols, unless they're in the area. The last is the direct route through the wasteland but it will make it more likely for us to be seen. Less obscure cover but its the fastest and easiest land route."

"Either way we go, I wouldn't mind a quick break on foot. Could use a bit to stretch and rest up."

"What if we split up?" you ask.

Airazor replies. "Thats....doable as well, but might be dangerous. If one of us gets attacked, they'd be on their own for awhile before back up arrives."

So which way would you prefer to go.

>The wasteland, get in get out hopefully before the preds notice
>The mountain pass, the kid should be tough enough to make it, after a quick rest
>The jungle marsh, you'll be out in the field longer but without the Preds having a direct line of sight to you three
>Split up, decide on who will set up the device, the other's can act as diversions if caught.

And, honestly, slowing down Cheetor might not be too bad a thing. Kid's fast but not that stealthy. Have the two birds make the pass and start setting up, and treat Cheetor like he's backup already on the way?

>The mountain pass, the kid should be tough enough to make it, after a quick rest

"If the mountain pass is the safest route, then thats the route we can take. We can always have my drone keep an eye out while we take a quick break."

"Thank the matrix." Cheetor says while keeping up pace with the group. "Lets keep going, so we can get out of this snow."

"You got it." Airazor calls out. You and her nod to each other and start picking up speed, but not too far ahead of Cheetor. Airazor gives a falcon's cry when she makes her course corrections to make sure everyone continues to move together.

Your trio of Maximals makes good time to the end of the snowfall; the land still with a slowly melting fall and the clouds still darkening the sky. The chill in the air is disappearing but its still lingers as the three of you start moving closer towards the rough and rocky road way.

"We're close to the base of range. Lets stop here." Airazor calls.

"You sure about that? I can make it a bit more if we need." Cheetor says. You can hear he's clearly winded but probably trying not to be a burden to the two of you.

"The path ahead isn't narrow but it isn't exactly wide either. It'll be cramped if all three of us land."

"We'll be just as exposed if we camp out at the bottom of mountain. We might be risking exposure and being discovered."

Airazor contemplates this before turning her head towards you. "What do you think?"

>The bottom will be fine, Cheetor. Nothing to worry about.
>We'll be closer to our objective on the path, Airazor. Lets keep going.

>The bottom will be fine, Cheetor. Nothing to worry about.

"This should be fine Cheetor. I can have my drone keep an active eye out while we take a bit of a breath."

He nods. "Well if you say so...Alright. We'll keep to base of the mountain."

Airazor and you land on the ground near the entrance of the mountain pass. There's only a little cover and concealment as Cheetor had feared, but with your and Airazor's smaller forms, the three of you can keep behind the rocks well enough, if a bit cozy.

"Alright, I've got the drone on high alert scan mode. It'll give us a signal if there's any trace of movement or any Predacon signature." You say as you relax. Cheetor crashes down and lies close to the two of you.

"Jumpin gyros, that was quite a trip." he takes a heave breathe.

"Sorry about that, its normally not this trying of a journey." Airazor says. "Well, minus the occasionally Predacon patrol."

The three of you take a bit to enjoy the quiet of the surrounding mountains. The area lives up to its name, the clear indicator being the lack of vegetation other than a few dried out and dying trees.

>Talk to Airazor "So you come out here often?"
>Talk to Cheetor "How's my kitten?"

>Tease Airazor (Bump into her by 'accident'. "Ooops, sorry.")
>Tease Bully Cheetor (Give Cheetor the head pats. "Me and Airazor are lucky to have someone like you around to help us Kitty Cat.")

With this bit of down time and everyone so close, you feel this technically qualifies as downtime. Which gives you time to have some fun with your companions. Not wanting to push things with Cheetor after the earlier debacle, you set your sights on your fine feathered friend. Nonchalantly, you bird hop closer towards the falcon who's unsuspectingly cleaning her feathers. Leading with a puffed up a chest, you nudge into her.

"OH."

You chirp up in a coy tone. "Oops. Oh i'm sorry." Chuckling you give her a side look. "I was just looking to get...comfortable."

Airazor tilts her head a bit, blinking. "Oh, well...Ahem, if you'd like I can make a bit more room." She adjust her stance, seeming to believe you are just looking to get a better positioning behind the few boulders around.

"Why thank you." You move in closer, hopping your slightly smaller bird frame against hers, deliberately ruffling the two of your feathers. You notice Airazor is oddly being much quieter than you'd expect, but she's not objecting to the rubbing up against each other. "You're quite soft, ya know?"

"Um, wha..."

"Your feathers, Airazor." You smugly smile at her. "Their soft."

She seems a bit lost for words. "Oh, well. T-thanks."

"Are mine?"

"Hmm?"

You tilt your head, locking your eyes on her. "My feathers. What do you think?"

You weren't sure if robots, let alone birds could blush but if Airazor's stunned silence was an indicator, you'd be certain she'd be redder than a brand new star hopper.

"T-they're....nice."

A soft chuckle at her awkwardness is all you let on as you revel in teasing her. But from the corner of your eye, it would appear you've gained an audience. Cheetor who's been lying down close by, resting his little kitty head, has been making his own effort (and failing) to be as nonchalant as he watches with interest and a hint of confusion. A perfect cocktail for your bullying and teasing.

"By the way," You move a bit away from Airazor, giving her a moments relief, to stretch out a wing and pat him on the head. "Way to stick it out kiddo." You encapsulate it further with a wink. "Knew you had it in you."

Cheetor's jaw slacks as he just looks up at you, trying to formulate a coherent sentence, but you don't give him a moment.

"Airazor and I are lucky to have someone like you around to help us Kitty Cat." you smugly smile as you turn your head back to Airazor. "Aren't we?"

"Well, yea." she nods. "Well done, Cheetor."

"Aw, shucks. I..."

Now while the iron is hot, you move in closer to him. "Kittens truly are a reliable aren't they?" You move back towards him and sit on his back. "Why, I bet a strong bot like yourself could carry Airazor and I up the trail couldn't you?"

Cheetor looks at you, contemplating and hanging on your every word. "Well, maybe..."

"We couldn't ask him to do that." Airazor objects, though looks back at him and you. "...could we? I mean, it doesn't seem fair is all."

>I'm just having some fun, we can fly (don't ride Cheetor)

You start chuckling and climbing off his back. "I'm just having some fun. I wasn't serious."

Cheetor does his best to hide his relief. You assume he's still a bit tired, but with a wink in a smile, he'd get inline with whatever you want. Just the way you like him. Airazor seems to relax abit, though you can see that there's still a tinge of curiosity in her eyes from the though of using one of her comrades as a transport. Though if you recall this wouldn't be the first time she'd had a feline transport. Perhaps in the future you could explore (possibly nurture) creating a fellow bully bird.

The three of you sit back and relax a bit more before planning to set out. Your drone is still on alert but hasn't detected anything just yet.

"So then," Airazor shakes off any lingering dirt from her tail feathers. "Shall we get going or should we make any additional preparations before heading up?"

>Plan a bit, go over the device, decide who should carry it

You straighten up. "Lets get down to business."

"Right. Airazor Maximize." She transforms and takes out a set of small devices. "So we just need to get this up the cliff side, preferably in a discrete place that the fliers wont notice or spot."

Cheetor chimes in. "What about a power source and transmitter?"

"We'll have the transmitter disguised," she takes out a hand fan style metal device, that with a hand whip deploys a small round array dish. "and as for the power source, we'll be using some of the natural energon under the rocks. Which might take the most time."

Hmm, an interesting observation. While you know your own 'lack' of skill with technical stuff, you're not quite sure about the others. Airazor knows a bit from when you worked with her before, but Cheetor strikes you more as a scrapper.

"Alright then, are you ok with carrying it?"

"Its not bad, makes it trickier to make faster dives and such while flying."

>Let Airazor carry
>Cheetor/Airazor set up; Nightracer on watch

"If you already have the equipment, then you should just hang on to it." You say, matter-of-factually. "I can stand watch while the two of you handle the techy stuff."

Cheetor and Airazor look at each other and nod. "Sounds good." Airazor replies as she puts the equipment away.

With your plan set, avians take to the sky and cheetor walks along the narrow path. Even without the natural snow, you manage to make yourself scarce. Airazor has little trouble as well with being well versed on the territory. Cheetor how ever has a bit of trouble. He does his best to take the corners of the erratic path but nearly slips a few times causing abit of a ruckus.

You start hearing a few beeps in your internal sensors. Your drone. Your sensors scan are detecting an obscured signal in the distance, past your intended destination.

"Looks like someone's out here, but I'm not quite sure what it is precisely is."

Airazor responds. "Hmm not good. Patrols out here are fairly rare. Not much for them out here."

"Maybe we were detected?" Cheetor says.

You dont feel its likely. Well atleast on you and Airazor's side of things.

Airazor calls out. "Well what do you think Nightracer? Should one of us investigate or should we just stay on mission?"

>Stay on mission, maybe we wont be noticed

"Lets just stick to our mission. No need to risk the discovery of our listening device."

"Copy that."

"Very well."

The three of you continue on to the top of the rocky mountain top. You recall your drone as its starting to run low on power itself. Just as well, you don't need it being seen or being detected either. You still occasionally scan the local area to see if you notice any movement nearby as Airazor uses her superior vision to scan the distant areas, focusing on the direction your drone scanned the signal. No obvious threats but you agree to not lower your guard.

A megacycle passes...

"We're here." Airazor moves back towards where Cheetor has been following.

Cheetor, picks up the pace to meet Airazor half way, "Bout time. This whole place gives me the creeps."

"Guess there's a reason why the Preds set up here." Airazor chuckles, as she transforms into robot mode. Walking over towards a small alcove in the rock, she starts scraping away some loose clumps of earth. "We'll need to divert our weapons array to energon dampeners to keep our circuits from sparking and twitching too much."

"You got it. Maximize." Cheetor transforms next to her. Moves over towards Airazor and takes over digging as she starts taking out the device for assembly. She holds out a wire and a metal rod.

"Here. This antenna will help with our signal and we can attach the array dish to it." She gestures upwards to a peak a few meters above them. "It should supply a suitable vantage point for you as well."

"You got it." You take the wire in a talon as you fly upwards to the top.

"Nightracer, Maximize." You transform and start lowering the wire down to your allies. You also take a moment to flick your wrist to deploy the antenna to plant it into the rock side. Satisfied with your work. You look around this small flat to plan your position.

With your Drone recharging, you'll be able to remain in robot mode longer as you have the energon radiation being transferred to it. On the downside, your wont be able to use your active cameo, as the energon build up would cause your cloak to shimmer defeating the purpose. Additionally with the drone recharging, you'd be draining your own energon reserves faster.

>Take full cover behind a rock formation. Narrow field of vision but primed for battle and unnoticeable.
>Stand back against the rock that the antenna is posted on. You'll have a wider view of the area, but will be exposed.
>Return to beast mode and stand atop the mount. Smaller form will make you obscured and your owl neck can have full view, but no immediate access to ranged weapons.
>Look for a different vantage point. You wont be close to the others but you could intercept an enemy if one comes near sooner.

And that'll do it for this evening. I'll hopefully be able to start up sooner tomorrow. Hope to catch you guys

agreeing, who cares if we have immediate access to weapons as long as we see them and they don't see us we can spring a trap and flank the scrap out of them

Better to see them coming so we can draw weapons, then have weapons drawn but get pounced before we use them.

>Return to beast mode and stand atop the mount. Smaller form will make you obscured and your owl neck can have full view, but no immediate access to ranged weapons.

"Beast mode."

You return to your snowy owl form and perch yourself at the top of the mountain. While larger than most natural birds and adorned with white feathers, its still less conspicuous than a robot flying in the air.

Your comrades are doing alright, but it seems the two of them are having a bit of trouble getting the power source set up.

"Gah! Jumping gyros, that smarts."

"Slow down Cheetor. We have time."

Poor kitten though...better him than you. You've had enough of your fair share of shocks from helping Rhinox. Resisting the urge to chuckle, validation that you're not the only one whos not an expert in technical matters. But you've allowed yourself to be distracted long enough, back to work.

You rotate your head a full 360* degrees and so far mostly quiet. Well minus that suspect ping in the distance, but you cant notice anything coming your way or lurking your way.

As you are currently in beast mode, you can speed up recharging the drone by diverting energy from some of your robot modes processes. Of course if there's a chance that there's a Predacon in the area, you might not be as combat effective, but so far theres no sign of anything coming your way.

Another option presents itself. It seems the others could use a hand with the device. The three of you might be able to get it done much faster this way, but with no one on watch, you could get ambushed, but so far that seems unlikely.

>Remain as you are

You feel that you should remain where you are. Sticking to the plan avoids confusion later. Periodically you check in on your teammates as they continue to work. They seem to be making much better progress as they go.

"Here Cheetor let me double check the link up." Airazor says as she moves towards the alcove. He moves back behind her as she leans over and reaches inside. She shimmies a bit, moving her hips and tail feathers, capturing Cheetor's undivided attention. He seems to be at a lost, not sure what he should be doing to assist Airazor and her current position isnt helping. He looks around him and looks up, catching you looking down at him, with a smirk on your bird face.

"Got everything well in hand there, Cheetor?" you tease.

"Um, well...I..."

Before he can answer Airazor, calls out.

"Cheetor, could you give me a hand? I need a you to reach over and give it a good smack or push."

"Huh?!"

"The listening device. The wires in the back are at their limit. I need you to get in position and put the device in place."

"You heard her." You chuckle.

Cheetor blinks for a moment, frozen in place. He shakes his head and reaches down to get the listening device. "R-right."

"Don't keep a girl waiting, kitten. Get in there." You say.

"Well its not a huge rush, we've got time." Airazor says, seemingly oblivious to the situation.

"Oh, um, alright. Here." Cheetor does his best to maintain his composure as he helps put the listening device where they are. While they resume working, you go back to keeping an eye on things. As much fun as it is to tease, you still have an important task at hand.

Surveying the terrain is fairly dull, its nice to be able to complete a mission without the risk of being shot at. You do look over towards the direction of the initial scan. You try to focus as much as possible. It seems like there's faint movement, but its doesnt seem like its moving any closer. If anything its moving away. Well it seems you guys have gone completely noticed. With the task nearly complete, you guys should head on back. Or maybe give the device a quick test run. Make sure its working so no one has to come out this way anytime soon.

>Test the listening device, scanning for any transmissions

You glide on down to the others and see how things have proceeded. With the two of them working on it, they finished quickly.

"Whew," Airazor rubs her forehead. Even with her dampeners on full, her body seems to glow a bit from being so close to the energon. "Beast mode."

"Well if thats everything, lets blow this joint and head home."

"Hold on, fast cat." You say. "Lets test it out and make sure its working properly."

Airazor, "A smart choice. Though there's no guarantee that we'll pick up anything right now." She shakes her ruffled feathers trying to get them to stop some of them from sticking up. "Plus we'll still want to test it out from base, make sure they're receiving a clear signal."

"Shall I do the honors?" Cheetor says, being the only bot transformed at the moment. He activates a the device; a series of dim lights turn on and the dish up top slowly starts to move in a circle. "Just one sec to see if the speaker works." He tweeks a few nobs, causing the speaker to crack abit as you hear little more than static.

"Is it supposed to sound like that?" you tilt your head skeptically, hoping that they didnt cross a few wires.

"Only when there's no active transmissions to listen into." Airazor mentions. She shrugs her shoulders. "Of course, it could just as easily be energon interference from both the mountain and the surrounding area. This location was picked cause it was less concentrated being less of a likely hood but this planet is strange with the amount of energon in the atmosphere."

"That or the Preds have cycled their comlink frequencies more frequently preventing us from reading them." Cheetor starts making a few adjustments. "Let me try broadening the frequency scan. We might pick up a rogue transmission that way."

The static alters from heavy 'snow' to lighter. After a few nanoclicks, you hear a something.

"Inferno to Megatron...*static*..retrie...*static*..annon..*static*..Return.....base....."

Huh. Looks like that nut job ant is on the line.

"Is there anyway to clean it up?" you ask.

Cheetor shakes his head. "I'm working on it. But its tricky."

"If the Maximal base is receiving the signal from our device, we can try and clean it up from here." Airazor adds.

>Lets see if we can find out here and now

"Lets use the main computer back at the Axalon." you say. "This scene is played out."

"Right."

"Sounds good."

The three of you begin moving down the rocky path. There's a bit of more relaxed feeling this time around, minus the knowing looks you give to Cheetor. Airazor seems a bit confused by this game of yours. Despite how many she gives you a questioning glance for an explanation, you give her an equally smug side glances.

The rest of the trip out of Predacon ground is uneventful. The three of you are tired, more so from the journey opposed to anything else.

"Man, I'm beat." Cheetor says aloud. "I'm gonna snooze as soon as we get back."

"Not staying up to find out how the transmitter works?" you say.

"Nah, I'm good. You two can handle that."

Airazor swoops down lower. "Its fine Cheetor. Nightracer and I can take care of the rest."

>Well actually i was thinking hot oil bath

"Well actually I was thinking hot oil bath." you say.

The two of them turn to you. Cheetor's got that look on his face, you know where his processor is at. Airazor has a more of a contemplative look.

"That...actually doesnt sound like such a bad idea." Airazor says.

You cease your opportunity. "Well I could use someone to help me with those hard to reach places, if you'd care to join me."

Airazor turns to face you, her jaw hanging as if she's trying to find the words. "I...Wh..."

Right on cue, you hear a thud and Cheetor's 'oomfph' as he collides with a tree.

"Cheetor!" your falcon friend's eyes telegraphing her relief at the sudden distraction as she immediately glides down. You follow as well, amused but concerned for the kid's well being. Your not a monster, well maybe a little...you knew what you were doing but its not like you wanted him to injure himself.

"Hey are you alright?" you land next to Airazor. She hops a bit away from you but it doesnt seem she's doing so in an insulting manner, but to look over Cheetor.

Cheetor's head is spinning; makes you wonder if he's seeing stars or bird flying around his head. You cant help but think of what kind of birds he's seeing, forcing you to hid a smile.

"Ugh, what hit me?" Cheetor shakes his head

"Nothing. You just....crashed." Airazor says.

"Yea, you really should keep your mind on whats in front of you." you say teasingly.

"Huh?" He looks over the two of you. "Oh, um yea. I think I'm just really tired. Dozing off, ya know?"

"Oh? What were you thinking about?" your words dripping of smugness, but Airazor moves in between you.

"Just be more careful." She uses a wing to pat him on the shoulder. "Lets get going. Its getting pretty late."

"Right." Cheetor nods to the two of you.

The three of you resume your journey back to the base. The trip is faster this time around as the snow fall has stopped and the snow has been melting. Cheetor takes his time a more so this time, being extra cautious.

The sun has set completely by the time you've reached the Axalon.

"Come in, Maximal base." You call out. "Three coming in."

"Optimus here. Glad to see you guys. Was beginning to worry. I'll send down the landing pad."

With Sentinel standing down, the three of you transform and land upon the elevator and rise up inside.

"Ugh man, if you guys dont mind I might hit the CR chamber before taking that rest."

"Take care of yourself Cheetor." Airazor says.

"You did good today kiddo." You add.

The elevator reaches the command deck and Cheetor takes off, leaving you and Airazor.

"I'm gonna report to Optimus and then scan for that transmission we detected."

"Well I know what I'm gonna be doing." You say with self confidence.

"Oh right, you had mentioned that earlier..." Airazor's voice trailing off.

>"Offer to join me is still good."
>"Sure you dont need a hand?"

Also, I think we should get along really well with Rhinox, and not in a teasing, flirty, or jokey kind of way, but just be really good friends.

After all, Rhinos and Birbs get along all the time in wilderness.

Plus all those free back rides.

>"Once I'm done, let me know what you find out from that signal."

"Well we better get to business. Me with my bath, you taking care of that report." You say. "Once I'm done, let me know what you find out from that garbled transmission."

"Right." Airazor straightens up. "I'll be sure to let you know. Great job as always."

"Well I do aim to please." you say as salute and turn away back to the crew quarters. Wasting no time, you make your way back to your quarters and draw up your bath. While you're not one to let the cold get to you, you cant wait till you get inside you bath.

After a good long soak for nearly two megacycles, you decide its time to wrap up business with the mission. Walking the halls of the Axalon, you pass by a Cheetors room. True to his word he's out like a light. Must have finished Though by the looks of things most of the Maximals are off duty and either resting up or off duty.

You catch Airazor sitting down with Rhinox. They seem to have completed analyzing and are looking over a schematic of the Predacon base.

"Hmm, we'll have to verify with Dinobot and Optimus on how to best to proceed, depending on where they place it."

"I'm surprised that they manage to find another one. Not that that their ship was short of weapons as it was."

"So, what did you guys find out?" You say approaching the two.

"Ah, Nightracer. I see you're still up and about." Rhinox chuckles. "Always took you for a night owl. Heh."

Freezing in your step, you just look at them.

...Really? Thats like...a dad joke...

Airazor just cracks a smile. "Strange, I dont think I've ever seen you speechless before Nightracer." Rhinox's smile widens as he chuckles more.

"I...I just....So do you guys find anything interesting?"

"In fact we did." Rhinox swings back to the computer. He switches windows, bringing up the listening post audio.

"Inferno to Megatron. I've located and retrieving the mega cannon." "Excellent, Inferno. Return to base with it immediately. I will send Scorponok and Taranatulas to assist. Just bring in back here quickly." "At once, royalty."

Mega cannon huh? That doesn't sound too friendly.

>So we're going to smash this thing or what?

"So then," you look at the others. "Whats the plan? Blow it up? Steal it?"

Rhinox rubs his chin. "Well, if they havent already begun setting up the cannon, either could be done, but i wouldn't recommend attempting to steal it."

"Why's that?"

"Well for one thing, mega cannons are pretty heavy and our fastest and stealthiest," he gestures to you and Airazor. "aren't exactly strong enough to grab that cannon and get it out of there without having a fight on your hands. Too risky with a chance of one if not both of you getting scrapped."

"Makes sense, I guess." You place your hands on your hips. "Well then how about demolition? We grab the rat and drop him in. He plans the bombs and we get out of there."

Rhinox continues. "That'll still be a risky operation. Whether sneaking or charging head long to the Predacon base would be difficult with their permitter defense network and thats before you factor in the Preds defending their base." He sighs. "I'll have to confer with Optimus about what he'll want to do about it in the future."

"Well that seems bleak." you say crossing your arms.

"We'll we made a judgement call." Airazor says. "If we had gone after the cannon, we'd would have compromised the location of where we'd put the listening device. Predacons tend to increase patrols into areas where we run ops if they're paranoid enough to believe we're up to something."

"Either way," Rhinox interjects. "Good work on the deployment of the device."

That'll do it for this thread. We'll be starting a new one shortly.
