The room itself is plain, not much different from your own room. The curtains are unremarkable, and even the sheets are a boring, bland beige.

The difference, however, is that it has a few things that makes the room remarkable.
First is a bookshelf, stacked to the brim with different kinds of shonen manga.
Second, by the study table, is a stack of books about programming.
And third, perhaps strangest of them all, is a dual monitor computer, with a mechanical keyboard and a CPU with flashing LED lights.

“Whoa,” You catch Ryou observing the different trinkets in the room, especially with the massive computer. “I didn’t know Yukio-kun was a big nerd.”

You keep silent, but still couldn’t keep the smile on your face. It took everything to stop yourself from saying, ‘Wrong Hanazawa, class rep.’

The three of you are seated in the coffee table, waiting. Hanazawa left the three of you here and said she was going to prepare refreshments. Yukio went off to somewhere, probably to his own room.

Alright, we need to take mental stock of where we're at with who so as to not lose track of what needs doing:

Hanazawa: Girlfriend, currently in a bit of a spat due to not telling her about our getting bullied issues. Need to resolve that.

Nakamura Eiji: Still cool, still oblivious.

Nakahara Fumi: Rival, need to throw down with her one day just to vent some force aggression and maybe learn some rad moves. ...I've been playing Yakuza a lot, sue me.

Kobayashi Mariko (Rich Ojou): In an 'alliance', but we need to hash out details somehow. Need to meet with her soon, see if we can't plan out a way to take advantage of her assets. May also need to (once again) clarify the fact that we have no particular overriding desire to get in her way of gaining Eiji as a boyfriend should it come down to it.

Fujibayashi Rinko: Red flags fucking everywhere on this bitch. Maybe I'm paranoid. Otherwise, no particular interaction, so nothing to say here.

Tezuka Rei: In an alliance with. Has nominally given up on Eiji in order to see her old friend Hikaru Ryou in a more mentally safe space. Unknown if those are her true intentions or not, or if they're merely a side goal, but either way we're in accord and can at the very least expect little/no direct hostility from her.

Hikaru Ryou: Troubled ally whom it has been made clear considers romantic love a substitute for personal self-affirmation and self-esteem. Current goal is to readjust these values so that she no longer considers a romantic love interest necessary to make herself feel of worth.

Glasses Girl (I'm sorry, I forget her name and can't find where she says it): Full-fledged backer at the other school, currently assisting in warding off rumors on that front.

(We really should maybe try to start writing that book. Or at least make it a short story. It'd be good to permanently mark down our thoughts on this whole thing.)

Anyway, if I'm missing anything or otherwise misinterpreted something, feel free to correct it.

You spot Hanazawa sitting down on the table, staring out at the window. The electric kettle is heating up some water, letting out steam at its spout.

You knock at the doorway. "Hanazawa?"
She looks towards you, a bit surprised, but upon seeing you she relaxes. "Yamada-kun."
"Need any help?"
"I'm just waiting for the water. I'll bring the tea up in a minute."

The atmosphere is awkward. She's asked to not talk today, but that was before everything else happened.

She fiddles with the edge of the table cloth.

You stand up from the table and sit down beside her. You grab both sides of her cheek, and kiss her on the forehead.

She puts her head on your chest, and you embrace her.

The kettle boils, the shrill whistle filling the room.

The chat between you four is pretty random and not really about anything, however it's light and happy.

You catch Hanazawa smiling and giggling to another comedy duo act by the tsundere class rep and the idiot Eiji. Your heart is filled with warm feelings.
Underneath the table, you stretch out your hand to grasp hers.
She squeezes back, and entwines her fingers with yours. They're small, and soft, and smooth.

"Take care, class rep, Nakamura-kun, Yamada-kun," Hanazawa sees the three of you out the doorway, waving.

The three of you wave back, and exit the Hanazawa property. You never caught a glimpse of Yukio again.

You walk behind the two, while Ryou engages Eiji with idle chatter, when she looks back.

"By the way, Ken-kun, could I talk to you for a bit?"
"Now?"
"Yeah. Just the two of us, if that's alright?"
