You shake your head slightly, the dull ache in the back of your head flaring with every movement. You groan and give up with the movement as it hurts too much, you'll sleep for right now. At least you try to sleep, before the shock of cold water splashes over you and you open your eyes to a pitch black room.

"Awake?" You hear a voice call out

You only groan.

"Awake enough, let's get this squared away. First things first, escape? Not an option." As he says this you hear the clicks and snaps of weaponry being loaded. As you hear this you also hear a loud click and squint harshly as floodlights illuminate this room you're in. You gently lob your head from side to side and you see the groups of armed and armoured men holding you at gunpoint.

In front of you is a table, you look down and see yourself strapped to a metal chair and bolted to the floor. You hear the clunking of heavy boots on metal floor and a man in a uniform of dark green tosses a clipboard with a chained pen in front of you.

"Not a huge of all this paper pushing crap but we need someway to keep you freaks organized, I suppose. Fill it out and we'll get you debriefed." He says with a slight southern

You go to respond but find yourself unable.

"Should of mentioned, we paralyzed your vocal chords before waking you, better safe than sorry." He chuckles and inserts his thumbs into his belt as he nods at the clipboard.

A soldier comes forward and cautiously unstraps your hand from the chair while keeping a gun on you. You stretch your arm and lean forward grabbing pen and looking at the form in front of you.

You got your teeth and fill out the form, your head is still foggy from the drugs, you can't remember exactly what it is you do but you know you aren't like other people. You're superior.

You fill out the form and still gripping the own give the nearest soldier the bird aggressively he slightly flinches. You give the room a slow scan with your finger still held, you make sure you lock eyes with each of these men and take in their features.

You hear a chuckle and the southern man tanks the board off the table taking the own from your hand, you keep the finger up and shove it in his smiling face. He reads it over and chuckles again. "No comments needed except for that one huh? Never get tired of your kind, always gotta fight the system. Welcome to the Squad, Chris. The boys will now move you down the hall where we have some of your personal effects and your debriefing." He says

You raise an eyebrow at him and allow the finger to curl into your fist. He sighs. "Look kid, you work for the US Government now. You'll be reporting to the Squad Leader and the big boss of this whole square dance in a moment. Watch your tongue around the boss lady if you want to keep it, and don't mind the Brit. He's a little mouthy and anti-social but he's all you have now." He ends with a smirk and gestures to the men behind you and you feel the chair jerk sending burning pain through your head as it begins to slide towards the back wall along a track with you still strapped in. As the chair goes you use your free hand to feel the back of your head, you find a very sensitive part at the top of your neck with what feels like stitches. You rub your head and focus, you have abilities hut what are they?

Your options are:
92: Retroactive Immortality: You cannot die, at least permanently. You will wake up from any death as if it was a deep sleep, given the circumstances that you are in one piece or put back together. (You may pair this with one combat or weapon specialty such as Hand to Hand or Pistols etc)

3: Mimicry: You can perfectly replicate the voice, mannerisms, and even actions of individuals you study long enough. After a period of time you will lose the ability to mimic them perfectly until you spend time around them again.

19: Danger Intuiton: You have the ability to feel when something harmful is about to happen or any particularly strong presence that seeks to harm you. (You may pair this with a combat or weapon specialty)

>92

>19

What power would you like? Keep in mind more may be unlocked later as the effects of whatever has been done to you begin to fade.

[That's all for right now, be back in a few hours. Please discuss your PC's backstory, appearance, main nemesis etc as I quite enjoy reading you brainstorm and build the story for yourselves. Thank you.]

A marine for a time but quickly grew to hate it when we understood really we were fighting for nothing but bankers and the elite. Thus on the side we began to sell weapons to people on the side because fuck it if the big cats can make bank so can we.

Batman tracked down our operation and confronted us, after a fight where he found the only way to stop us was to make us bleed out and remove our arm we were captured. Bats had done his research and knew we'd come back...someday
>>

Replace marine with spetsnaz and I think we have a character sheet.
>>
>>2181383
I'd rather not be ex-military. How about a part of the Russian mob? Still have military connections, it's where we get our supplies, and still hate the elite.

We came over to finalize a deal with Penguin since some of our merch wasn't getting through only to get hit by the Bat in transit.

Our boy ain't no vodka guzzling commie(he does prefer vodka when drinking though) he's a dyed in the wool professional criminal who knows the score. He knows how to interact with police, government patsies and lowlife scum and isn't to caught up on appearances, only respect and loyalty.
>>
>>2181491
How about a second generation russian immigrant to America? Let's say our russian ancestor fought in WW1 and made a deal for immortality with Baba Yaga after being grievously wounded in battle and the curse has been transferred to us, which we only found out after being shot in the head by a taliban sniper as a US Marine. I'm just spitballing here, you guys should tell me what you think
>>
>>2181665
Oh and our father and grandfather supposedly died in war but we actually just need to recover their dismembered body parts and put them back together to revive them to learn more about our powers
>>
>>2181406
Maybe less hate the elite, instead with us getting discharged after getting shot in the head and surviving, but we fell in love with our work and decided to work as hired muscle for our uncle, a important king pin in the russian mafia which lead to us fighting the bat
>>
>>2181665
>>2181684
I suppose if others want a military background I can roll with it, as long as we we're apart of the mob before getting captured.

Would prefer if our immortality was from weird science instead of a curse though. How about some lone science nut got a hold of our body after being sniped and brought us back and now we're unkillable and give of a greater electromagnetic signature do to the energies animating our flesh.
>>
>>2181727
I like the curse angle, fits with the name rasputin
>>
>>2181747
I just feel like there's more flavour to being a freak of science. Curses tend to be very specific and sure it could turn out ther is more to this one than immortality but tacking more on doesn't feel right to me.

Being a modern Frankenstein's monster opens up a world of weird body horror stuff while having ties to the more esoteric sciences(magic). It also means we aren't beholden to some witch on the other side of the world.

I just wanna play a frankenmobster.

I understand and respect your opinion but must disagree

Your civility on this matter is appreciated
>>
>>2181787
I do agree on russian mob over spetznaz though
>>
>>2181834
I'd also prefer Russian Mob but not being a Russian, I'd also prefer being called Koschei as that would reflect a more physical character as opposed to a mystical Rasputin
>>
>>2181871
Hmmm perhaps not Russian born but a 2nd generation immigrant who is the mobs American operative?
>>
>>2181885
I'd kinda prefer a "family's been in Gotham since before it was Gotham" kinda deal
>>
>>2181904
One of parents was old blood in Gotham who married a Russian to cement the bonds between the organizations kinda deal?
>>
>>2181911
Better yet Chris was the one set to marry a Russian girl to cement ties but after his apparent death that deal fell through. His resurrection put both parties in a odd spot but the business has gone well, though we weren't able to marry our dear bride.

>>2181383
But leaving as US Armed Forces makes it more accurate.

A waifu out of our reach and likely married to someone else. She's the one that got away anon, not the future.

As for being a marine I could see it as being our rebellious phase. We decide to go straight and join only to find it's no so glamorous and we're still doing a bunch of shady shit thanks to shady superiors, we find a taste for it and when we get home apologize and join in the family business.

I agree the marine gothamite married to a russian mafia princess is way too complicated of a backstory and doesn't fit with the super villain name

What should our weapon specialty be though? I'd be okay with SMGs/shotguns. It would allow us to be really aggressive and mobile, running into high risk close range situations since even if we die we just come back.

Slowly it begins to come back to you. Your power becomes clear and you remember...death. So much death. Experienced, witnessed, delivered, you sigh deeply upon remembering your last moments before waking up. You were in Gotham on business, some two bit up and comer thought he was gonna be the next big name in Gotham and so he acted out against the crime families that had dominance. You stood over your father in his hospital bed, bandages around his head and eye, tube down his throat and a missing hand. He was only an enforcer for the Bratva in Gotham but still he had been jumped, shot to bits and had his hand cut off for what? Sending a message? You feel the anger bubbling within you still as you remember finally after slaughtering tens of street thugs finding the shit that gave the order and as you pressed your submachine gun barrel to the side of his head you felt something pierce your hand. A dark metal knife, in the shape of a bat. And a dark gloved fist slamming into the side of your face.

You don't remember much after that except for waking up here. As you come back to the oresent you see another set of doors open automatically as you slide to the end of a dark oak table. At one end sits a large black woman in a dark blue suit and an American flag pin. Closer to you you can see the back of a leather chair with leather boots and black pants with buckles down the side up on the table, you also smell the stench of cigarette smoke wafting from his direction.

You feel a prick in your neck as one of the men inject you and you let out an audible.
"Ow" you reach up and touch your throat before the woman begins speaking.

"We just let you have back the function of your vocal chords, don't make me regret that. First things first I am Amanda Waller and you are now my property, understand that I take good care of my belongings as long as they work properly. I have no use for broken toys. I'm sure you have a mountain of questions but most will be explained shortly, still, I'll let you ask one question before we begin." She looks at you expectantly

"Look, my dad always told me business is business. So that's what I'll call this, you pay me and stay straight with me I have no problem being an attack dog." You say leaning back never breaking eye contact.

"Not a question but instead a power play. Interesting. Well Chris, this isn't your first time being a tool of the United States. You enlisted in the US Army at age 18, guessing you and daddy had issues so you took off. You get hit by a near direct grenade and wake up with nothing more than some fragmentation scars in the Autopsy Lab at base. You go AWOL return home to Gotham where daddy ships you off to the motherland to train with Russian Spec Ops under the name Crevchenko Mastov. This ringing a bell?" She asks lifting an eyebrow over her wire frame glasses.

You stay silent thinking about who could have leaked this.

"You return home from your trip abroad and dad welcomes you into his little crime family as a fellow enforcer. You take a few trips to Metropolis and return to find your dad had been hospitalized. Triggering the domino chain that led here. You killed over 60 men, Chris. Batman put a batarang through your hand and that should have severed multiple tendons but instead you can not only written with that hand but give my agents vulgar gestures. We deduced you have a healing factor that activates after your body suffers enough trauma to put itself in a death like coma allowing it to heal all but the most fatal of injuries." She sets down the tablet she was reading from and looks at you.

"Normally we'd have you in the chair but that wouldn't take I think it's fair to guess. So instead we are going to use you. You may have felt the wound on your neck. Your spine is lined with 10 different microexplosives, half are designed to cripple the other to kill. Given your abilities we set the timers to sever the spinal cord and keep it from rejoining and keeping you from waking up. This man here is your squad leader and will debrief you on your first mission. Hope that was straight enough for you?" She asks before gesturing to you and turning to walk out of the meeting room. You are unstrapped and the soldiers leave as well.

You stand and stretch your legs as the person in the chair with its back to you turns around. You see a man in a black trench coat and union jack flag shirt looking at you, between his lips dangles a cigarette. You notice next the thick rings piercing his ears and the light purple color of his spiked hair.

He stands and gestures for you to follow.

"My names Manchester Black, welcome to the suicide squad. You poor git." He says before tossing the smouldering cigarette on the table.

"What are we even doing at this shitshow?" You ask while following Black out of a different door.

You step inside a grey hallway with tile and peeling wallpaper. Black looks at you and chuckles. "It's called the SUICIDE Squad mate, the name implies itself they send us on missions that we aren't expected to comeback. We argue, pop goes the weasel, we all have explosives shoved in our noggins and we decide we don't want to drive the truck full of explosives into some factory? We blow up and they make someone else do it. You're on my personal team of misfits pal, currently consisting of some chap named Doctor Light and a woman going by Plastique. Real group of winners." You walk silently as he opens two old doors to a common room with a busted TV, pool table with snapped sticks and almost all couches or chairs torn or covered in holes. The smell is not that great either.

"Your new teammates are who they are, bloke can control light to an extent and the lady blows shit up. She's a bit of a looker too. Any more questions to bore me with or is it time for the tour?"

"So what is it you can do? No offence but a guy with purple hair doesn't intimidate me that much." You say smiling

He frown and you watch his eyes turn a pale yellow as dark green energy begins to seep from his sockets. You feel yourself lift off the ground, you begin to kick and reach out for anything you can grab. He holds you for a few seconds before dropping you the few feet and putting a hand to his head.

"Mind over matter, mate. I used to be a lot stronger, gave the man of steel himself a stroke. Now that was a laugh until he gave me a series of concussions that still have my powers on the mend." He scowls

"So wait, if you're strong enough to take on superman for even a couple seconds we could get out right?" You ask

Black shakes his head. "Not happening kid, my power comes from a growth in my brain. They've got the good bits floating around in a jar somewhere. Left me with enough to be useful to them." He spits out the butt if the cigarette and pulls another from the crumpled pack. You extend a hand and raise an eyebrow.

Black looks at your hand and laughs storing the pack and pointing at the half smoked cigarette he had tossed down. "There's one on the floor right there mate. Train up and sleep well, our mission is in a week. Team meeting is tomorrow morning by the way, don't be late." He walks off puffing the cigarette. "I assume you can give yourself the tour, turning you into Mary Poppins left me feeling light headed."

You watch him walk down the hall at the far end of the room and after a few moments you see him pull open a door and close it behind him. A few moments later you hear the muffled sounds of intense music.

You stand alone in the common room, you see a few signs written in marker, some carved into the wall.

Hearing Black mention bits of his brain missing has you nervous if they messed with your at all. You head to the training room and are surprised to see it near spotless, a small cigarette but lies on the shooting range table.

The range is currently occupied by bottles and some baseballs, you see a small keypad with a variety of pictures on the keys. Which do you press?

A small gate at the end of the range counter swings open as you hit the button depicting a skull and red X.

"Please, enter the training area." Says a voice

You notice the voice is the same as Waller's

What's the worst that could happen? Death? You shrug and enter as the targets in the range begin to fold and lower and raise into the floor and ceiling.

"You have selected to take the Squad Leader test. You are the SECOND participant in the program to do so." The voice sounds automated now and you watch as a clear tube rises from the center of the room.

"In order to become a Squad Leader you must prove to be more capable than another leader and take their place. This will be done through combat." Back to Waller's voice, this thing is giving you goosebumps.

A stand emerges from the floor infront of you holding a handgun, a knife, and some boxing tape.

"Select a weapon for this test, your opponent will be given the same. If you wish to back out simply state Alpha."

A small podium rises and you are offered a list of names. You finger hovers over the screen as names flicker onto it.

You examine the list, you've seen a few of these names before but one that's more familiar than most is Bane. The man who broke Batman, from what you've heard he only fights hand to hand so a Gun is going to be useful.

You tap his name and the voice speaks.

"Bane has been selected." It speaks

You hear a rushing of air as the tube becomes reflective showing you only yourself and another shape behind you. You turn and see a brunette woman in an old army jacket holding a beer.

"No no, pretend I'm not even here. I just came to watch." She smiles and sips from the beer.

You wait a few minutes antsy as the room stays silent besides the rushing air. After about ten minutes it stops and the tube becomes clear and in it stands a monster of a man. He wears a Lucha mask and a tight black tank top a pair of black cargo pants. It seems like the eyes of his mask glow res as he stares you down, small tubes of green liquid being fed into the back of his neck from devices on his wrists. You've seen his picture in the news. This is Bane.

The tube opens and he steps out silently staring before pulling the pistol from his pocket. You watch as he ejects the magazine and puts both hands on the gun, you see his wrist device light up as the liquid in the tubes begin to bubble. His already impressive muscles swell in size and large green veins begin to form as he slowly crushes the gun into a ball of metal.

"Te romperé." He grumbles as he begins walking towards you.

You dig in your mind for the spanish lessons at Gotham high school and muster up the best you can. "tu pene es pequeño" you shout as you take aim

You hear beer being spit out behind you and even Bane stops for a split second tilting his head. You take that break as your opportunity for a well placed shot at his wrist. You hear a hiss and the green fluid begins spraying at high pressure as Bane takes a step back. He screams out in rage before going into a full charge at you. You take another shot at the wrist and watch as it sprays more green liquid. Bane's muscles decrease in size slightly but he is still more than powerful enough to spear you to the ground and slap the gun from your hand.

"Voy a arrancar esa lengua" he growls as he picks you up by the throat and chucks you across the room. You hit the wall and feel a few things crack at least as you slide down and hit the floor. Your head is exploding with pain as Bane begins to approach you again.

You scramble to stand and begin moving for your gun which is further along the wall. As you run you see Bane break into anither sprint. If he hits you with this one you'll be caught between him and an iron wall so you haul ass.

Time seems to be going by slowly as your heavy breath and the sound of your blood rushing reaches your ears. You see the hulking shape in your peripheral and as you turn your head see he has stopped advancing instead to leap into the air, his feet coming up and flying towards you as he aims a missile dropkick for your head. You feel your blood rush, your next intake of breath seems to last forever and you swear he's moving in slow motion as you only have to duck and time seems to catch back up as you hear a dull thunk and see the foot shaped dent left in the wall. [You have unlocked brief FTE Movement, given you are not too exhausted you can move faster than the eye can perceive in a very short burst of action.]

You slide across the floor fumbling to get the gun as you stand and point it at the Luchadore. The thick green veins fade slowly and the spurting of green liquid slows to a trickle as Bane stands breathing ragged.
"You flee like a scared animal, cobarde. Put down the toy and settle this like a man." He says through a thick accent as he cracks his knuckles. His bicep is still as large as yiur head but he doesn't seem supercharged anymore.

"Sorry Amigo, No refs in this wrestling match." You state and you squeeze the trigger and let a shot off right at his forehead. The bullet connects and he hits the ground, you take a moment to examine the body. No blood pooling, No mist when you hit him, you hold your gun level at him when you hear a voice.

"Hey buddy, the mask is bulletproof you probably put him out but not down." Says the female behind you, her eyebrows raised in surprised.

You see in the doorway behind her Manchester, he leans on the entry way shaking his head.
"Great job, lad. You took down the brute, Waller will talk with you after our next mission about a promotion if you want one." He shakes his head and spits on the floor. Manchester takes his and sets it against his temple.

"You're already making too many waves mate." He says

You take a swig of the cheap beer and squint

"You do not want the attention being a Squad Leader brings you. It gets you in contact with Waller and when they do that they get their bollocks chopped. You understand me? You struggle to lift Manchester's gangly limp body, after putting him in a half fireman's carry half drag you get him out of the kitchen and back to his bedroom.

You wade through ankle deep garbage of beer cans, Morley cigarette butts and packs and discarded lighters before tossing him onto a bed that was sloppily painted with the same Union Jack he wore on his shirt. His walls are bare besides a few holes and a single lopsided shelf with a speaker and Cassette Deck. His small dresser has one framed picture on the top of it, a much younger Manchester with Green instead of purple hair. He looks like he's at a soccer game with a girl, they even have matching jerseys. You can't help but smile a bit at how happy the two look, what happened that ended him up here?

You exit his room and take a look at a clock on the wall, 11:35pm they made sure to bring you in late for some reason. You go to the next door and open it slowly, you hear snoring and a man lies wrapped in a white blanket on his mattress. You slowly close the door, eyeing what looks to be a set of armor in the corner. You go to the next room and reach for the knob before hearing a woman shout. "I wouldn't open that." You look at the brunette down the hall as she approaches and opens the door a few inches. She slides a hand in and a few moments later swings the door just open enough to slip in before she takes a long piece of string and ties it to the knob, closing the door. "Goodnight new guy, good job with Mr.Machismo by the way." You hear her say.

You yawn and try the last door on this side of the hallway, it cracks open and you look inside seeing nobody. Stepping in you notice what looks to be your old army pack and your luggage from the airport lying on a cheap bed. Jutting out of your suitcase is the same metal bat you had embedded in your hand. You pluck it from the cheap suit case and turn it around in your fingers before setting it on the small dresser and unpacking your clothes. At the bottom of your Army Pack you find a picture they must have left of you and your squadron. You miss those days in a way, simpler times than whatever the hell this is. You crawl into bed, pull the thon scratchy blanket over your body and lie your head on the mildew reeking pillow. Tomorrow is the team meeting.

I'd think it doesn't shut off pain... yeah you die but you keep feeling everything that kills you. Drowning too I'd think would be a near-permanent solution. Anything that can kill you and keep you in a "constant state of death".

Kind of like how the Punish had that particle accelerator under his apartment, so mobsters would feel their atoms being torn apart forever.

You wake up to the sound of banging on yiur thin door. You sit up in the bed, coated in cold sweat. You spent the night dreaming about the man who put your father in that bed. You need to find him.

You get up and change into your old military clothes, a pair of desert camo cargo pants and a tan t-shirt. You lace up your boots and head out the door. You walk into the common room and see a man you only saw briefly. His dark hair is covered by a helmet and he wears the suit of armor you saw the other night, polished white with a glowing yellow orb in the center. He sits there hand flexing and you watch as a lamp in the corner flickers on and off. That must be Doctor Light.

You approach Light and watch as the light fades completely from the lamp and an orb on his hand begins to flow faintly.

"Doctor Light I'm guessing?" You say extending a hand

He looks at the hand and leaves you hanging as he nods. "That would be me. And you would be the amateur Lucha?" He asks, his eyes slowly scanning you

You only nod in return as he cracks a small smile. "Always thought muscle was overrated, brain over brawn has been the recipe for success as far back as history dates." He smirks and notices you staring at the glowing bulb on his hand. He lifts it and an eyebrow.

"I was just wondering what you could do, like if you control light does that include UV or just visible soectrum?" You ask almost embarrassed. Light smiles wider "Finally a question that is not idiotic. I can control all visible light my boy, including light produced magically or even with alien technology. You haven't had a good laugh until you've made a green lantern punch themselves with their own moronic green fist." He sets himself into a small laughing fit and you hear the clicks of a lighter.

"Done with the tea party darlings?" Asks Manchester as he walks into the room, you notice he hasn't changed his outfit besides a fresh Union Jack shirt. Light scowls and you watch as the light bulb above Manchester flickers. "Knock it off Light before I send that bulb flying into your gob. We have a debriefing to go over." He says scowling through a wispy cloud of smoke.

The flickering stops and Manchester pulls a stack of files from his jacket. He tosses one down in front of each of you.

"This is a recovery mission, we are infiltrating a known Hero location to download information from their main computer." He says

You open the folder and see an aerial view of what looks to be like some large island.

"What is the target?" Light asks

Manchester takes another long drag and rubs his forehead.

"One of the Teen Titan's Towers. Specifically Titan Tower Japan." He says taking another drag. Light throws down the file and Plastique begins chuckling to herself.

Well, some of your more classic Gypsy curses tend to take the long view. Sure, immortality sounds nice even with the pain, for the first 50 years.
Eternal immortality without eternal youth is hell. Imagine aging, rotting, and decaying forever with no opportunity for a release.

Your power works in this way.

When you suffer enough damage that you would die normally, instead your body will put you in a comatose state while it heals the injuries and restores you to normal condition. Depending on the caliber of injury it will take longer to heal.

Bullet/Stab wounds usually take about a day
Having an arm lobbed off or being blown up requires all body parts to be together and usually takes a week or longer to reform.

If you sustain injuries and don't die you will heal at an accelerated rate. You feel pain, you age normally, and you are still susceptible to disease, poison and biological weapons as far as you know.

Hope that cleared some things up.
>>
>>2184901
Right, so risky situations are less so to us.
Heroes and villains have Power and Skills.
Focus on the second half of that.

Planning on dying is planning for failure, which is stupider than regular planning.
Not having to worry about death being a permanent threat is still an advantage.

"So are we allowed to kill these Titans?" You ask

Everyone looks at you with some surprise.

"Well well, the kid is quite the reaper." Says Light

You ignore the comment and ask again. "Does Waller have a problem with us putting anyone down or not?" You ask more aggressively

Manchester locks eyes with you. "Not if we can avoid it, we aren't going to the Tower to purge it and bring the Justice League down on our heads. We want to get in, knock out anyone who spots us and download the information from their supercomputer onto this flash drive." He holds a small USB Stick. "It's programmed to find whatever Intel Waller wants and download it, we just have to stick it in and wait."

Plastique speaks up. "So why were we selected?" She asks

Manchester points at her. "You can produce your explosive force to blow out any locks and get us in. Light can conceal himself with his suit and the new guy and I are on defense duty. I'll be going in for surgery later to get some bits of brain added back. Waller said we may need the extra juice. Don't underestimate these kids." He states

Lad going by the name Arsenal, uses a bow and arrow. We should be able to handle him kid, but there could be other stragglers too." He says

Doctor Light scoffs and stands up. "I've battled the titans enough in this lifetime. I'll be damned if I'm jumping into the hornets nest and kicking it from the inside." You notice the lights all around beginning to flicker

"Well then enjoy your head being in tiny pieces all over the floor mate, try not to get any of that big brain on my boots." Spits Manchester as he lets out a stream of smoke.

You let loose a frustrated sigh and watch as Plastique rolls her eyes.

"Look Black. Light has a point, couldn't you and I cause trouble outside or at the base of the Tower to draw anyone out while Light and Plastique slip in and out before they realize?" You offer

Black let's out a bark of laughter.
"You're kidding, and draw every straggler in the base out to us? That's to say they send the entire garrison of their tower for two men causing a bit of a fuss? You're bloody delusional mate, at best we'll have way more super powered tweens on us than we can take and Waller pops our heads for being thick enough to get captured or at worst they send two people out and then send a distress call out to their big brothers at Watchtower when we beat their friends or do worse." Black' s neck veins bulge as he yells this and he stops putting his fingers on the bridge of his nose.

Manchester sighs, "Fine mate. You beat the Lucha, you're anxious to be a Squad Leader. So make a call, but don't expect me to stick around if it goes belly up."

How about causing some kind of disaster so they have to stage a rescue operation? That would get everyone in the tower out there but wouldn't be enough for them to call for backup, as long as we don't go overboard. Make it look like an accident so they don't get suspicious till after we're gone.
>>
"We're all breaching the tower together. Stick to the original plan." You say
Manchester chuckles, "Exactly what I thought. All of you study up on the files and get in good shape. I'm due to be reverse lobotomized." He says walking towards the main doors and leaving you all alone with your files.

Plastique grabs hers and stands heading for the kitchen, Light grumbles and shoved his under his arm heading back to his room.

You decide to head to the kitchen and spend time with someone who isn't moody. Making your way to the kitchen you open the door to see Plastique sitting at the table with an open bottle of cheap Whiskey and a small plastic cup. She spots you and gives you a small nod.

You take this as an invitation and pull up a chair, and grab yourself a cup from the cabinet.
She pours you a generous portion and raises her cup before downing it. You take a full and let the burn work it's way down your throat and into your stomach. "So, come in here to talk about the mission or something else?" She asks

Plastique laughs quietly and fills her cup back up. "I prefer to stay too drunk to feel drama. I mean can you really blame them, this is a shit situation."

She sighs and opens her folder.
"It says the easiest way to get to their main computer is through the common area, the have a small balcony that looks out over the ocean and fortunately they went for style of practicality. Wooden doors are easy enough for me to pop the knobs off without making too much noise. Light can then chameleon up with me and we go to the server room while you and Johnny Rotten keep any kids from noticing us until we are done." She takes another long draft from her cup. She seems to laugh to herself before continuing. "My personal objective once we get the Intel is for me to stau behind and blow up the server while you take off." She polishes off her cup and stares at the file with glasses over eyes.

You think back to the conversation you just had with Manchester. "But Black said anyone stays behind or risks capture they get their heads taken off." You state. She nods. "We can't let them know what we downloaded so we have to take it out."

"Fuck that." You state bluntly, she looks at you a little confused. "We're a Squad right? That means we all get out together, can you not leave a timed charge?"

She smiles and places a hand on your arm. "That's sweet. But we have to be sure the entire computer is destroyed, I can only be positive if I stay behind." Her eyes glisten a little as she quickly looks away and takes another deep drink of the fire water. "Who even told you that you have to stay behind?" You ask. She turns the file towards you and gets to work pouring anither cup.

You look over the file and see a small boxed section containing text.
"Your personal objective for this operation is to ensure the destruction of the Titan Computer to ensure that the files we located are not known. Failure to do so will result in consequences, we thank you for your service and ensure your next of kin will be well rewarded."

You stare at the file before opening your own to the same page. A small boxed section of text reads.
"Your personal objective is the surveillance of your Squad Leader: Manchester Black as well as your squad entirely. Should they show any signs that they may desert or sabotage the mission you are to take lethal force against them and ensure the success to the best of your ability. Should any of them manage to sabotage the Operation, you will suffer the consequences."

You gaze at the words with pursed lips.

"Take a look." You slide her your file and watch as she looks over it scowling.

"Waller is a real bitch. Make me kill myself. Make you kill me if I dont." She scoffs and lifts the empty bottle. "I don't blame you if you do what you have to." She says quietly before sliding your file back to you. With her head in her hands you see a few tears drop from her nose and into her cup, she extends a hand and lightly puts it on yours. You thumb through your file, it gives you basic Intel on the tower and some known titans. The largest threat within the area being a titan known as Blue Beetle. Your personal section mentions how if you pass that your dad will be taken care of. You read through and your position is pretty clear, you're muscle. You can kill only if necessary, anyone you can incapacitate and take with you will get you a special bonus for contributing to the program.

Makes you wonder if you were a target of this program. You notice something the very back of the folder in a pocket labelled "motivation" it shows a picture of the man you had nearly killed for attacking your father. Blindfolded and with the same southern soldier who signed you up holding his head up by his hair. And signed with marker "Waiting for you -Flag"

You take the photo and fold it up before putting it in your pocket. Nothing else extraordinary.

You eagerly climb into bed with Plastique and it isn't long before what little clothing of hers remained is stripped away and likewise for yourself. You spend the next hour releasing your anxiety and fear of your current situation and just enjoying the moment. By the end of it you lie in the bed shirtless, she traces a series of small vertical scars on your stomach.

"What are these from?" She asks

"Jumped on a fragmentation grenade to save my unit. People don't know usually it isn't the blast that kills from grenades it's.."

"The Shrapnel." Plastique finishes smiling lightly. She moves her hand to your lower stomach and circles a wound around the bottom of your stomach. "And this?"

"Gut shot from a Kar98, part of my training in Russia." You state, she looks at you shocked. "Had to prove I could fix a gut wound. So I did." You state "The men I trained with were no nonsense. It was routine for a student to die by the end of it." You move your hair around your temple and move her hand to the raised flesh under the hair.

"Do I want to know?" She asks

"Our final test for loyalty. Russian Roulette, I lost." You laugh remembering their faces when you opened the door to the base with the Soviet Flag draped around your shoulders.

Plastique snuggles closer to you. You feel warm in this moment, like things might turn out okay, you feel the knot hidden in the back of your stomach knowing she probably won't survive the week. But you push it out of your mind and wrap an arm around her falling asleep.

By the time you wake up the door is open and the rumpled covers next to you reveal Plastique has left you to sleep. Looking at the watch they left in your pack you see it's near 5pm. You hear lowered voices coming from the common room but also swear you just heard something thump down the hall.

You get up and head down the hall, you hear more thudding and scraping from inside a room. You get to Manchester's Room and hear furniture scrape the floor, you open the door and see...nothing.

A dresser sits pulled from the wall, the boom box is on the floor and you even see the framed picture on the floor in a cracked frame.

You hear stomping down the hall and step out to see Manchester. He stops and you watch the eyes go pale yellow.

"What the bloody hell are you doing in my room?" He asks through gritted teeth. You feel your feet begin to slide as he moves you and steps in. Upon seeing the destruction he turns to you. You see him look around before dropping looking at a corner. You see the green energy pour from his eyes and it form around open space before you hear choking and Doctor Light comes into view.

Manchester begins muttering to himself as he kneels and picks up the damaged frame.

"Waller can kill me if she wants, I'm snapping your neck like a stick." You watch as Light is lifted into the air and slammed face first into the stone floor. He lets out a violent oof and spits up a little blood. You watch as he begins to slide back against the wall and seems to be immobile.

"Go ahead Black. You'll just be fulfilling Waller's objective for you." Light struggles to move his head at the open file that was behind the dresser. "Ensure that Plastique does not return. If it's her simply for questioning Waller's orders and daring to refuse even slightly then how long until Waller sends you on me? Or on him?"

Manchester throws the photo into the ground and you watch as tiny glass fragments glow green and float with sharp edges directed at Light. "You don't get it mate. She calls the shots, and if you're going to ruin it and get us all killed I'm just doing us a favor. With my brain back intact you have no chance." He says with malice.

You notice Plastique watching from the hallway with a neutral expression.

As for the whole how to save plastique bit, I have an idea.

We accomplish the main objective, but when we she stays behind to blow up the server we "accidentally" come up with some sort of reason to stay and cover her. Perhaps a titan gets in our way.

Then we all leave together. No soldier left behind.

That would violate Manchester's objective, if it's what Light says. 'Plastique does not return', regardless of circumstance.

We probably ought to walk into the room, grab the file and verify that ourselves at some point.

Though, if it's only that she literally does not return, technically he doesn't have to confirm her death. We could just... leave her behind somewhere. Though we'd ideally need some method of removing her killswitch or jamming the kill signal for that.

"Manchester, if you kill him then we're useless to Waller. Light knows we all have objectives and he isn't sneaking out of this, we will male him tell us his too." You slowly move in front of Manchester hands up and not at the file. You watch the green energy fade and the glass fall.

"Read it and weep, mate" he offers

You pick up the file and flip to his objective: "Ensure Plastique does not make it back and completes her objective of destroying the computer" you look to Plastique and nod.

She shrugs, "I know I'm supposed to die, not like Manchester wrote up the orders." She whispers

Light stands up and is forced back down by green energy. "No Weaseling out of this Doctor. Hand over your file." He says as the file rises from the inside of Light's chestpiece and floats to you.

"Read it. Out loud." He says

You flip to it and read, "Your objective is to assume full responsibility for the attack to draw the titans to you and away from the organization. After this mission you will be re-assigned." You state

Manchester scoffs, "You get your freedom at the cost of a girls life. Now who's the bad guy?" You watch Light slide across the floor and into the wall in the hallway. "Get your shit together, we head out tomorrow. Chris, stay."

Light slowly gets up only to receive a harsh slap to the face from Plastique.
"You son of a bitch." She marches off

The door glows as Manchester slams it.

The door is old and it's hinges squeal loudly, a small section of stained glass in the center giving you the only glimpse into a dim lit room. He holds up a hand and finishes up his sentence before standing and approaching you. "Chris. I thank you for helping Manchester to exercise restraint, but it was not necessary." He states

You raise an eyebrow, "And why not?"

"Because he couldn't have killed me, his device would have activated before it got that far." He states bluntly, you notice he cleaned the blood from the corner of his mouth and even though that was clean a bold hand print remained on his cheek.

"Well still, he was just angry. There is a way out of this for everyone, Light. You're a smart guy you must see it can be done."

"Logic and reason have no place in this playground child, to modify a classic quote. You want to know the future of our squad? Imagine Amanda Waller's boot stomping on our face forever." Manchester broke three of her soldiers legs when he first woke up, Plastique told her to 'stuff the bomb up her add and refused to assassinate a target. I myself bent light to become invisible and sat in on a meeting with Waller. As for why you were included I have no clue. But her plans for you are nefarious." You watch as he paces the room and removes his helmet running a hand through his hair.

"Light...We have to at least try." You plead

He shakes his head. "No Chris. Someone had to die on this mission, the right person will die on this mission." He says before putting the helmet back on and returning to prayer. "Please leave me be."

You exit the church and stand in the hallway, your watch beeps: 6 o'clock

Ok im sorry I need to say something here.
She needs to Die or both Us and Black are getting fucked. Its a bullshit situation but thats what it is. What we CAN DO is go to Plastique and ask her some questions like, IF sometime in the future i get out what me to pass on a personal message? We need this mission to go just as planned for us and Black to make steps into improving our chances. Plastique herself knows she is fucked. Black now knows we are the only team member who can friendly fire without the bombs going off. So saddly this is how it needs to go.

1) Plastique stays behind to blow the bomb
2) Us and Black ensure she doesn't run or survive (maybe we snipe her to make it quick)
3) Maybe wear gear with Light's symbol on it the whole OP to link it to him.
>>
>>2190094
While I'm not sure Waller will be that permissive, none of our objectives specify that Plastique has to die, only that she has to 'ensure the destruction of the Titan Computer' and 'does not make it back'. Interpreting those words literally, there's a lot of wiggle room on how to achieve that - just that the characters are interpreting them in ways that come most naturally to them. Or there would be, if we had more prep time.

Also, our objective relates only to members 'deserting or sabotaging the mission'. I doubt personal objectives fall under that heading, since they seem to have been given with the intention of being kept secret. As long as we complete the objective that's publicly known, Waller should have no complaints with us.
>>
>>2190118
>Black
Make sure Plastique does not come back
>Us
If someone is deserting or sabotaging the mission kill them

Dude its clear we are meant to kill her and if you feel like being a smarmy shit with Waller she'll just detonate us. Play the game for a bit and get a bearing. Our job is to watch with back and ensure she dies in the blast then kill anyone who tries to save her or put her down ourselves if needs be
>>
>>2190183
>>2190118
>Also Plastiques
Die in the blast/Stay behind for it.
its kinda clear dude,
>>
>>2190184
You're conflating how she interpreted her objective with what the actual wording was. The only thing she has to do is 'ensure the destruction of the Titan Computer to ensure that the files we located are not known'.

Nor does Black's objective specifically require for Plastique to die.
>>
>>2190218
gotta agree, this wording is really unspecific.

who cares what happens I say we go for it, what ever happens happens. Take the fall if we have too.
>>
You decide to head back to Plastique's room, you knock before entering as you prefer being in one piece. You hear a few knocks and bumps before the door opens, you notice a bit over half the bottle is missing. She steps aside and let's you in.
"Come by for a round two?" She laughs drinking a bit more from the bottle
"I came for one more shot but who knows." You chuckle a bit and settle on the bed as she gets you a shot glass from her nightstand.

She pouts you a shot and holds the bottle up.

>Black
"Ensure Plastique does not make it back and completes her objective of destroying the computer"

>Light
"Your objective is to assume full responsibility for the attack to draw the titans to you and away from the organization. After this mission you will be re-assigned."

1) Blacks objective stops her returning to base
2) Our Objective Prevents her from escaping

So How do you want to spin this she is unable to leave or come back. That means dead and if you think we are going to kill ourselves or get fucking nerfed because you fell for the first chick in the quest or got our dick wet you got another thing coming.

This is totally Plan B.

Plan A is come up with a better plan.
Waller killing one of us on an op to prove a point, especially leaving a corpse on one where Dr. Light is supposed to take the blame, is clandestine idiocy.
If she had issue with Plastique, she shoulda popped her noggin at the time of the offense.
When your dog shits on the carpet, you don't take him hunting and shoot him in front of the other dogs as a lesson.

Waller is pulling a dumbass, unprofessional move that goes directly against the objectives of the mission.
Which means it's a stupid move, or she needs to explain what she really wants out of this backwards operation.
Fuck it.

>>
>>2190238
>To the future
>And kicking its ass

>>2190389
Deserting and not coming back are not binary options. She could, for instance, be left behind and presumed permanently incapacitated. She could also be left behind to ensure the successful completion of her own objective - the rest of us would have no reason to follow her since our group objective is completed.

Depending on how we parse the statement, one could also see that it's impossible to desert the mission once the mission is completed, and - as the other anon pointed out - that we only have to take lethal force against them to the best of our ability. It's quite possible that Plastique would defeat us in combat, especially if she got the jump on us.
>>

>1) she's stood next toa bomb there will be no evidence of Plastique bar a smear

Feels like anons are trying spin and try to justify whatever they can to not kill the first girl who treats us nice. Its pointless to let her live when they could detonate the explosives and kill Plastique anyway. They might even detonate our explosives as well if they feel we are intentionally letting her go and ignoring our own objective.
>>
>>2190436
True, but at least that's a possible death as opposed to a certain death. Given that they need cameras and mics to monitor us, it's probable that the explosives don't have any advanced sensors attached, which means she might be able to get off free - at least until she can find someone to disable them.

>>2190475
To be fair, I want to keep ALL of our squad alive, if possible. You do you, but given Chris' military service and time in the mob, I'm trying to roleplay him as someone who would willingly give his life for the people fighting beside him.
>>
You hold the shot up. "To kicking ass." you say clinking the glass to the bottle. She smiles and replies "Hopefully Waller's one day." You give a small chuckle and down the shot feeling it warm up your body. You take a few minutes to look at Plastique and you notice her smile go back to a neutral frown as she drinks.

"You know I'm going to try my best to get you out if this right? You say touching her shoulder. She smiles and touches your hand. "And then what? I get to stay on suicide squad until the next death mission. I never thought I'd be looking forward to dying. Getting out of this, it'll be a dream. You reach down and pluck her file from where she left it. You pull the photo from the back and hand it to her gently.
"Live for her." You whisper.

Plastique takes the photo and holds it with trembling hands. "You had no right to look at this." She says, tears beginning to well. You keep silent and look at the floor. "But you might be right, maybe if I love long enough we could get out of this. Then I can see her. Right?" She looks to you, tears falling freely.

You only nod and put a hand in her back rubbing it as she sobs. "Just promise to go along with me if I find a way to get you out okay?" You ask softly

She nods and proceeds to curl up, you pull the blanket over her and move the hair from her face. Slowly you stand, taking the bottle and leaving Plastique. Your watch beeps. 7pm

You yawn slightly as you hear the muffled music coming from Blacks room. You head into your own room and see on your bed there is a small package in a cardboard box marked with a W.

You open it and find a cellphone with a slip of paper folded beneath it. The phone is an old flip phone model, opening it you see all the keys for numbers removed leaving only the contacts button, the answer, decline and arrow keys. You open the contacts menu and see.
Manchester Black
Plastique
Doctor Light
Fake-Out
Amanda Waller
You open the folded paper and read.
"Within this box is obviously a cell phone. Calling those numbers through this phone will activate the frequency that triggers each members microexplosives as well as a direct line to myself to contact you if needed. I am intrigued by the idea of getting to talk to Waller about this.
1. She probably already knows I'm reluctant.
2. She might actually have a sane reason for killing Plastique
3. She might provide additional info, which is always useful.

But we should speak to Black on the qt about whether contacting her is a good idea.

We should NOT:
1. Tell anyone about the cell phone.
2. Sacrifice our real life or freedom for Plastique if we can possibly help it.
3. Compromise Black's possible escape plan.

As far as I can tell, Chris cares about himself, family, and his crew, which is a group of untrustworthy strangers being forced upon him right now.
Plastique's the only one he likes, but Black and Waller are the only ones who matter.

Like I said, I'd be onboard with Plastique taking the fall if it made sense, but it just seems sloppy, arbitrary, and wrong.
Leaving her splattered DNA behind in a Teen Titans Tower to raise questions seems like a bad idea.

If that Fake-Out works, that could be a useful tool.

This whole thing can go off without a single hitch just fine if you just let her do her job and fucking die, Stop thinking with your hearts or dicks and use your brain.
>>

>Die to ensure the mission is complete
Cool done and dusted we pick up any ID marks and leave

>She Escapes
Us and Black get fucked in the ass and Black loses the bit of his brain again, well done you screwed us over and Waller remote detonates the charge

>She Survives and wants to head home
Black has to kill her off and Light knows he has too as well. So she dies anyways otherwise once again Us and Black get fucked.

Get it through your skulls that we are working for a fucking spook, ethics gone. Play the game at least for awhile or roll over and die. Get your fucking shit together

>Play the game at least for awhile or roll over and die.
If the game *is* "roll over and die", which it sure as hell seems to be, then I suggest we go over the rules again, because it seems like a shit game.

The squad is named "Suicide", I get it.
But unnecessary suicide for the sake of suicide is dumb.
If Bane was the one being asked to stand around looking dumb, waiting for a computer to melt, and then die and leave DNA all over for no discernible reason, I'd still be resisting.
But Bane doesn't get cuddles.

You pocket the phone and take the note ripping it to small shreds and stuffing the paper into your bag. You get into bed and rest your eyes for the day to come.

You wake up to the sound of a heavy thud outside your door. You stand and check your watch, 9am. You open the door and see a small metal cube with a handle on the top. You pull it into the room and pop it open, in the top portion of the case sits two .45 Caliber pistols woth 3 clips a piece. They sit nestled on a dual shoulder holster. You withdraw it all and see a divider, you remove it and pull from the second half a rolled up vest, a series of metal plates on a standard light vest. As well as a pair of gloves, you remove them and slide them on tightening the strap. They feel a little heavy and you realize the knuckles have small bumps of lead to help give a harder hit.

You vest up, put on a long sleeve black shirt and a dark gray canvas jacket. You lace up your combat boots and head out into the hallway as you get your shoulder harness on and get your pistols and magazines secured. You see Plastique leaning against the busted TV in a black leather outfit with small bricks of C4 to her forearms and thighs. She also has a black beanie on. Manchester is dressed in his usual trench coat and Union Jack but you can see it's now painted onto a tactical vest with a series of darts on the breasts of it. Doctor Light sits in his full suit.

"Right, everyone is awake and ready. Any last second preparations to be made before we leave?" Manchester looks around.

On my end?

Because I don't believe that killing 60 guys in revenge for your dad being hospitalized is something someone who's completely balanced, emotionally speaking, would do; because I consequently imagine Chris to have been strongly affected by something or things during his time in military service and/or the mafia - possibly a bad case of survivor's guilt - which could well drive him as he is now to keep his squad safe; and, because I would vote for 'suboptimal' decisions (in as far as they would likely lead to consequences for Chris) if I feel that Chris the character would do so.

Also because while the consequences you describe are certainly possible, they are by no means certain.

[Did not expect such strong reactions from both sides over the mission here. Good to know.]

"Well I need a rifle, a better close range weapon than my fists and some white and yellow paint." You state. Everyone looks at you like you've gone slightly crazy. "Anything else MacGyver?" Asks Plastique smiling.

It takes a bit but by requests through a wall intercom and some scavenging you get your paint, a bolt action rifle with 8x scope and strap, and a trench knife. You secure the knife to your thigh, strap the rifle around your chest and grab a brush.

"Plastique turn around." You say, she narrows her eyes and slowly does as you ask. "Consider putting your hair up." You state as you draw a larger white circle filled in with yellow on her back.

"What's with your art project mate?" Asks Black.

"Light has to take responsibility so it's best we look like some grunts he brought along." You state before approaching Black. "Now uncross your arms so I can paint this on your chest."

"No bloody way mate, nothing gets painted on me except this here." He points to the union Jack on his vest. "Touch me and I'll douse you in the paint like a cheerleader for team Light." He grumbles

You shrug and extend the brush to him. "Get my back painted then."

=====================================
You all sit in the back of a van. Light sits up front driving, you've been cramped in this thing since they put it on a boat from wherever you were held and sailed it and you to the bay with a box of jerky and a small case of water. Black sits in the corner eyes closed slowly chewing on teriyaki jerky and humming. Plastique sips from her water bottle swirling the water to entertain herself. Suddenly you see a much brighter light shine through the front windshield than the interior cargo ship lights. Leaning forward you see the beautiful blue sky.

"Finally." Light mumbles as he tosses his bottle in the back and starts up the van, you drive off a small ramp from the ship and past workers packing gutted tuna and mackerel into ice filled crates. "Do you know where we're even going?" Asks Plastique.

"I assume it's the massive building that looks like a T." Light says pointing to just that.

Standard military protocol for fucking with alarms. You set them off. Over and over and over and over. Until they get sick of it and turn the "buggy" things off (ahh its like northern island and Kosovo all over again). Then we just waltz on in while Light cloaks us. >Do your job and follow orders until you are in a better position.
It is a myth that unthinking soldiers who mindlessly follow orders are valued.
Asking questions can be valuable.
If Waller answered with, "She dies because I say so." then that's that. That could mean there is a justified reason that we don't get to know, or that she is just waving her dick around. We'll never know and it doesn't matter. But not raising issues or possible threats to the mission because "imma gunna do as Issa told" makes for worse soldiers.

This can be a great idea for dealing with amateurs or creating a window of opportunity with professionals, but my vast alarm breaking experience (i.e. having seen the film "Sneakers") leads me to believe that a quality security force would disable the alarms and beef up the man-powered defense to compensate.

As for my plan its pretty easy. You play the game until your in a position to do something. People who blow their load early get picked off. Take your time build allies, come up with a plan, right now we are one man with remote bombs in him we need to

>1 Remove bombs
Black knows a guy so that's a start but don't put it all on him, find other options
>2 Escape the holding cells
Best chance is doing it on an OP as we'll be out and about. Hard part will be delaying with the other team members who will likely be watching us.

As for saving Plastique I do have a plan but it requires playing the game for awhile.
We get to the detonation part then we have Black pull the thing directly from her neck and at the same time we trigger it. She is now officially dead to Waller. we communicate the idea via paper so no one can hear us. Then on the way out she bails and goes into hiding. No visiting that little girl for a long ass time because she will still be under observation

>>2191237
As for game plan easy.
>1
Make the call once we are out the ride and everyone is getting into position

>2
Light gets Black and Plastic into the building then us and him make a shit ton of noise a little later to draw everyone to us and make it look like the assault has just begun. we then enter the building and let Light cause havoc we go confirm the above plan i mentioned. Light then cloaks Plastique to escape so when Waller reviews the footage we're in the clear. We make passive comments about "where is Plastique" etc since they can hear us.

>3
The place is blown and we escape, Plastique is thrown out the van somewhere hidden and we have her seek out allys on the outside and maybe find the contact Black was referring to. We now have our outside agent and the mission is done, we have covered our tracks from Waller and Light gets all the credit.

Piece of piss mate.

"Get us to a building about the same height. We can fly over." You say

Light grunts. "That could work I suppose, black can lift you two and I can focus on my own flight and concealing us."

Manchester opens his eyes. "Get us to the building then Doc. We have some arse to kick while you prowl around."

The drive takes a few minutes with some minimal cursing from Manchester about the traffic, but before you know it you hear the clicks and the back doors swing open. Everyone hops out on the bottom floor of a parking garage. You all take a moment to look at each other before everything begins.

"Lets get in there and do this quick and clean. You hit any resistance you keep going and let Chris and I clean it up. Computer is through the garden on the roof, through their common rooms then down a hatch near the core of the building." Manchester states lighting up a cigarette. He points to a cage covered ladder in the corner of the garage, you all make your way over while Plastique grabs the small padlock keeping it from access. You hear a bang as loud as a large firecracker maybe and she holds the charred broken lock in her hands. "Ladies first." She chides gesturing for you to climb up first.

A few minutes of climbing and you stand atop the parking garage about 70 feet from a small balcony leading to a rooftop garden. As Manchester pants he holds up a hand. "Need to wait....fucking hell...for a distraction..bloody lungs." He coughs and reaches for another cigarette. You all stand there impatient. What is taking Waller so lomg you would think this mission would be important. As you open your mouth to state your thoughts you hear an earth rumbling explosion as a cloud of black smoke erupts from deep in the city. Within a few moments you see multiple brightly colored, and logo'd cars and bikes speed away from the tower. Two people are seen taking flight from the roof.

With the coast clear Manchester decides it's go time, you feel your feet lift and see Plastique lift as well, Doctor Light's suit glows dimly as you begin to feel tingly and soon you are floating over the streets. It isn't too long of a trip before you land on a metal walkway above orchids and other beautiful looking flowers. You take the rifle off your back and ensure it's loaded before slipping it back on. You draw your pistol and begin moving for the balcony door encased in green house glass. Surprisingly the door is unlocked

Micro explosive small enough to not cause bleeding up withdrawing the needle and none intrusive enough to not damage or restrict movement. Things tiny and due to needle/inject insertion likely a thin shape to get deposited thus also easy to remove. Secondary note while Waller may have preped Blacks bombs to go off if touched they wont have preped Plastique's ones. Due to us all being caught different times and the team was only just assembled
>>
You step in cautiously and get low searching for plates or wires set to detect you, you find nothing as Black steps in behind you looking around. "Cute, they find time to garden between autograph sessions." He steps to the small hatch and goes for it before Plastique jogs ahead grabbing him.

"The handle is wired, it sets something off every time you pull it to open the hatch. She reaches into a few of the leather pouches at her waist until she pulls a small set of clippers and a bottle of liquid in a dropper. She sets a few drops on the thread wrapped around the handle and lifts it very slightly with her nail before using the clippers to stop the liquid then letting it go again. After a fee moments of dripping liquid she lifts the handle and cuts the wire putting more droplets down.

"Conductive Oil. It'll set off the trigger over and over making it seem faulty. Put extra on a snapped line and it'll keep going off even after we've used it." She smirks.

"No idea what most of that meant love, let's just get inside." Manchester whispers as you all move down the ladder and enter what appears to be a room of gardening supplies. Exiting the small room you enter what looks to be a bedroom. Cloaks and jackets hang on bunk beds, pants and tights litter the floor. This place is a mess. You pass by a bunk and notice a certain symbol that catches your attention. A bat, carved into the metal above a bunk bed. On it lies a notebook with a sketch looking like a yellow beaked bird on a black background. A few question marks surround it. You tear out the page and pocket it, whoever this bird man is he knows Batman.

"How you feeling Doc?" Asks Manchester. Doctor Light wipes sweat from his forehead. "The suit is running a little hot, we need to hurry or I could blow the spectrum storage orbs."

Manchester looks to you and nods ahead as you begin to jog in front of the others. You go down long corridors eventually seeing the massive metal doors with a T emblazoned down the center, they slide open as you approach and you find yourself in a wide space. Rows of Windows give you an amazing view of the bay and city, a massive TV at least 70 inches sits dead center and multiple couches and beanbags surround the center of the room where there lies a round game table covered in cards and crushed soda cans.

"It's under the table, let's go." You and Manchester jog across the room and grab one side of the massive game table and begin sliding it. You set your pistol down on the top and get the table from below as you both grunt and manage to clear just enough space for a large hatch reading "MAINFRAME AND MAINTENANCE" to be unobstructed. You go to pick your pistol back up only for a whizzing piece of metal to nearly clip your hand and send it clattering across the room.

(Holy text wall Batman 2/3)
>>
"Light, duck now!" You hear Manchester shout as an arrow with a thick cylinder at the end stops an inch from Doctor Light's nose, covered in a green energy you eatch to arrow snap itself and drop to the floor before spewing a quick drying foam.

You look where the projectiles were fired and see two teenage boys, probably 17 or so standing, one wears Gold and Red with a large R on his upper left chest and a black mask across his eyes. He holds a set of sharp boomerang type devices with a yellow R on the center and the other holds a crimson red bow and has an arrow already pulled back and aimed at Black, he throws his head back dropping the equally crimson leather hood and he looms at you with no mask. You remember the file listing him as Arsenal

The smaller of the two touches his mask and you see a light turn off.
"You bird brains probably should have thought about heat sensors before bringing the walking lava lamp in here. How'd you get out Light? Did I not make the cuffs tight enough?"

Manchester takes a stance next to you.
"You two know what to do. Go. We'll put the children to bed." He growls

"Oh, I can't wait to nail you right on the forehead with a concussion arrow Guv'na." Says Arsenal

"Which will you take Chris? The Bat Brat or Robin Hood?" Whispers Black

Arsenal's main gig is gear, Black can hard counter that shit. Get Black to handle him while we handle Robin.

Have Black just pull the pins on Arsenals own gear and trap him within is own stuff then we can gank robin. Them having the home field advantage here can be a drawback as black can just bury them in junk and their own stuff. Use Arsenals own Arsenal against him by triggering them while they are in his pockets etc.

Us vs robin is more a slogging match, play grunt go in and fake getting fucked up then get behind and use our quick move to king hit him (close fist smash the top of his skull) that's him out and if we are lucky in a coma. No kills and totally out of the running

With the addition of using our remaining pistol to control his movement. We might have been instructed to avoid murder (and he'd probs dodge our shots anyway) but we can still use the gunfire to flush him towards us.
Then when he thinks we're just some guntoting cunt is when we FTE rush towards him and plant a lead-loaded fist on his temple.

"I've got the small one." You say drawing your second pistol

"Another grunt with a gun, too scared to fight with your fists?" Robins says before rushing at you.

You see Black stop another arrow before it hits his face. "I can do this all day." Manchester says before the cylinder on the arrow opens up and sprays a gas into his face. Manchester starts coughing before turning the arrow around and sending it flying back at it's owner. You assume he has things under control.

You start running, taking pot shots over your shoulder. Been brags let loose eruptions of foam beads and a few cans explode into small shards of aluminum. You watch Robin's arm pull back and you instinctively dive forward and tuck into a roll. You land in a crouch and the Robinrang slams into the wall above you and crackles with electricity. You turn and fire off a few more shots, Robin dips and slides almost like this is trivial to him and he even smiles like he's having fun.

You pull the trigger again and it clicks. Empty. Robin stops and reaches for the small of his back pulling a small metal cylinder. You hear a click and it extends into a full length staff.

He moves in taking a swing and you dip below, focusing on that same feeling. Adrenaline pumping, blood rushing, the sound of your own breath. You watch as he slowly brings the staff down, you easily push it to the side letting it hit the ground and pull back your fist delivering a brutal punch to the side of the head. His body goes limp as his feet are taken out from under him and he slides across the floor. You take a moment to crack your knuckles and catch your breath, you turn to see Black using his powers to fling chairs and dishes across the room slamming them into Arsenal' s body. You take a step to help and feel something hit you in the back, you stop and reach around to feel a small metal sphere, you pull it and feel your body get electrocuted. Your muscles tense up and you dal to your knees after a few seconds you feel it drop of and you start to stand, muscles still spasming.

You turn slowly and see Robin help himself up with his staff.
"So the simple thug has some power. Okay, that was a lucky shot." He mutters adjusting his mask and assuming a fighting stance, you see a trickle of blood from his ear.

cant be that high DC Robin is concussed and has ear bleeding, even if your a super person no balance and your head been shaken like that is pretty damn bad. Training cant save you from it and no amount of physical exercise can prep the body for it
>>
You pull the knife from your thigh and get into a wide stance shuffling slowly. Robin twists the staff and you hear a click as he separates it into two batons. He circles as well.

The Time seems to slow as the two of circle each other looking for an opening. Robin acts first, he launches the baton at you with an underhand throw, it strikes you in your shoulder causing you to stumble, Robin presses his attack moving in rapidly striking with the baton. You party a few blows before he deflects a slash you take at him and delivers a brutal kick to the gut. You feel the water and jerky rise in your throat as you double over. He brings the same foot up and you feel it slam into your chin sending you stumbling backwards as he goes for a leg sweep.

You manage to dodge his extended foot and regain your balance, you pivot grabbing a wooden chair from below the counter and bring it over your head destroying it over his forearms as he goes to block the strike.

"Really? You're gonna break my furniture? Is this a bar fight?" He asks before lunging at you with a wild kick. You push the door aside and land another solid jab on him, you take a swing with the knife but hit nothing but air as he ducks and swings the baton knocking the knife from your grip. You drop low with him, you grab his yellow cape and pull it over his face delivering two more strikes and wrestling the baton away and chucking if across the room. He struggles with the cape and clears his face. You see his lip is swollen and blood is smeared across his lip. "Alright, note to self shorten cape. Let's see you do this hand to hand then buddy." He takes a boxing stance and begins to advance.

You reach for a wooden bar stool and rapidly bring it up over your head. "I have to buy that you know." He shouts bringing his arms up in an X to absorb the blow. You allow the chair to slip from your grip clattering off his arms harmlessly as you drop to a football stance and tackle Robin around the waist. The younger man is easily outweighed by you, you lift him into the air and fall using all your weight to slam his back into the ground. You hear the air leave his lungs as you posture up pinning his legs down with yours as you deliver a brutal series of hand and hooks to his head until the arms weakly guarding fall limp and he begins to bleed from the nose freely.

You stand, flexing your sore hands as the minor swelling in your knuckles sets in. You look over to see Black holding a small swarm of arrows. He looks to you. "Done?" He asks as the arrows snap and Arsenal begins to glow with Green energy before he flies across the room and slams into the large refrigerator. He lies on the ground groaning.

"He isn't unconscious." You say pointing to the man starting to get back up

Manchester flicks a finger and the stool you allowed to drop zips over the counter and smashes into Arsenal' s head. The man collapses. You step into the kitchen looking at the man ensuring he's out when the fridge door opens, Arsenal's hand places itself on the corner as the door slams shut violently. Your eye twitches slightly at what sounds to be a pile of wet twigs snapping as Arsenal's fingers sit at odd angles on his swelling hand.

"Make sure the kid can't be a nuisance." Black states

You drag Robin to the large pantry in the corner of the kitchen and toss him in. You unsling the rifle and pull back the bolt. "It really isn't personal kid, sorry." You mumble before putting a round into his knee. You rip his cape to wrap it around the sound and the it tightly, no need for him to bleed out when he's locked up.

Arsenal gets tossed in as well and Manchester sets the fridge on its side infront of the door.

You move to the hatch and peer down, you see Doctor Light using his hand to create a small beam of light. As Plastique fiddles with wires and a small block of grey brown explosive.

"Progress report." Black yells

"I think I managed to make an improvised timer for the explosives I set. We can get out and blow it in one minute." She yells up

Black looks at you.
"Mate." He whispers
"If she comes back with us, I'm on Waller's shitlist and I lose the bit of grey matter that'll help us escape."

This.
We'll give her a fair shot at a life out from under Waller's thumb but if it goes off too early and she dies then so be it.
As for how to give her the best chance, Black is able to deactivate the cams and audio even in weakened state so delaying the explosion long enough to rip it out of her shouldn't be beyond him.
We could also see if theres anything in the Titan med bay that might help but only if Black thinks he can't manage it himself.

I expect Black will be ready enough to persuade if we point out the benefits of an external contact and the joy of spitting in Waller's eye.

"Black. I have a plan. You shut off our bombs earlier when we talked, is it possible to put a clamp on Plastique's bomb and rip it out before it blows?" You ask. Black stares at you with wide eyes. "You want me to rip a surgically implanted bomb out of her? Mate are you mental?" He shakes his head

You put a hand on his shoulder and speak in an aggresive whisper. "We take it out and she dies, or when it detonates to ensure she dies here she's home free from Waller." Black strokes his chin.

Light emerges from the mainframe. "Time for us to go. I'll find a vehicle or exit point. Make sure that computer goes down. I habe an objective of my own as well." He jogs off down a corridor with a sign saying 'AV Tech Room'

"Timer is set, we have eight minutes." You hear Plastique yell, you look down and see her climbing the ladder.

Black grabs you by your chin.
"Trust earns trust mate. So you have mine right now, but you need to be sure. If I rip that out there is no promise she lives or dies less of a bloody death, and it could get me snipped again. But if you really believe it can save her, I'll try." He looks down to Plastique climbing.

"Take it out, Black. There has to be a MedCenter here for us to keep her stable." You say

Blacl shakes his head. "The shite I do for no good reason." He stands and takes a few steps back. Plastique reaches the top and stands. "Alright boys, we have a few minutes to split so lets do it." She looks to you and Black, "what's going on here?" She asks

"Sorry Love. Gotta hurt you to save you." Black states as his eyes turn pale yellow and Plastique drops to her knees clutching her head and screaming. You move in and wrap an arm around her as she squirms and begins to sob. "Stop. For the love of christ stop." She screams. You tune out the noise, you've tuned out worst. You restrain her arms so they dont get in the way before her screaming stops and her head falls limp. Her chest still rapidly rises and falls. Unconscious.

Black holds put his hands, the fingers crooked and stiff. The skin beneath the base of Plastique's skull lightly glows green and you hear the familiar sound of ripoing flesh as a small device no bigger than a Dollar Coin emerges from her dripping blood with a rapid flashing light. Blacl flicks his wrists and the small disk clinks off the wall before blowing a basketball sized hole in the floor. Black moves to her and lifts her with the energy, you see a small ball has formed at her wound.

"I'm holding the wound shut, I'll make my way to the medlab and make sure she isnt going to die from bloodloss. I need you to wait here for Light and then meet me on the roof so we can get out of here. I'll be back in two minutes mate." Says Black rapidly as he moves her for a door next to where you had entered reading "Infirmary"

You get the door for him and watch as Plastique is carried down by a swearing Black.

You go back to the door Light had gone through and hear a rapid beeping on the large television. 'Incoming call from: JLA'

You see two buttons blinking on the console infront of the screen.

Sorry Plastique tried to slip out back I had Black catch her and pull her back in before I detonated her collar. Didn't want anyone to see it otherwise light won't take the credit and they will think something is up.

Batman: I can't believe fucking Teen Titans haven't called. I left them a message four hours ago.

Superman: Maybe they aren't near the phone.

Batman: No, it rang twice, and then the voicemail picked up.
If it had gone straight to voicemail, the phone was off.
If it rang six times, that means they didn't hear it.
But it rang twice, Superman.
That means the phone rang, they saw it was me... they pressed a button and sent it to voicemail.
You know what, give me your phone. I bet they'll pick up.
>>
>>2198387
Don't pick up the phone just warn everyone we need to leave real fucking fast before the big boys show up to check on the kids. We need to stick around to make sure the bomb goes off uninterrupted in case Flash or anyone shows up. Beside a Doctor Light Goon among the wreckage is quite a convincing bluff. We need to make sure this goes well for Waller to have no complaints.

JLA. Justice League. Oh shit.

You throw open the door to the AV room and yell.
"Light, we got justice league inbound lets go!"

You make your way into the infirmary and step in to see Black finishing off the bandages for Plastique's wound. "She's breathing mate. That's the best I can do."

You grab a shoulder, "It'll have to do then, we have Justice League potentially." You watch Black's face go pale. "We need to get out now." He whispers.

You both stand and take off for where you had come in. You see Light had taken your words to heart and hauled ass all the way to the gardening closet. You all burst through the door on the roof to see a figure in the distance. A small blue and red speck hovering in the air above whete the thick black smoke is billowing and watch with an open mouth as the smoke seems to be sucked into the speck. Then your eyes widen and Black removes a cigarette with trembling hands as you hear a muted boom and the red and blue shape grow bigger as it flies directly towards you.

Manchester lights his shaking cigarette shrugging. "It was a good run."

Light simply sits. "Hopefully we won't feel it when our heads go.

Run i'll hold him off...well when i say that i mean ill blow myself up in a minute...we need that bomb to go off.

Get into position away and take a shot draw this out so the bomb does indeed go off without a hitch then trigger ourselves. Tell Black to drop Plastique somewhere and leave her a note. that she is "dead" and don't fuck us all by going to the girl just like that. Waller will be watching.

While the Others flee us in our Light Goon outfit go and trash the place, blow all the comp stuff that was not toasted by the bomb then when we know its over trigger our own bomb.

As for specifics, if Superman is on the way make your way out of here as far as you can then ditch the ride then mingle making our way back to base before getting a new ride out because if he saw your escape ride you need to switch it.

We on the other hand draw his attention away from the bomb and begin the Banter until our job is done then blow up ourselves
>>
Final note: Team gets the Detonation of Plastique story down now so that we all have the same story and sing the same tune to Waller

You pull the phone from inside your jacket.

"I need you two to get inside right now. Black, leave plastique a note and drop her off somewhere. I'll try my best to hold him off and that includes setting off my own bomb. We need that bomb to go off, we have three minutes until it goes, that's all. Light can camouflage you and you can sneak out, male sure to trash the place, we are Light's minions after all."

"Actually I left a video for the titans telling them I destroyed all their files about me in their computer by blowing it up. Objective complete." Light says heading for the door inside.

"And dropping her off means she isn't coming back. Bloody hell I hope we can make this work." Says Manchester, handing you his half smoked cigarette and a fresh one. "A last smoke lad, I won't forget this. I'll see you again some day." He says before disappearing inside as well.

You stand alone for the next 30 seconds, phone in one hand and rifle in the other.

And you watch as he lands. His red and yellow emblem shining almost like a beacon in your eyes.

"So are we doing this the easy way?" He asks

>Isn't every way the easy way for super man? It sure seems like it. Is Batman around? I'm a big fan of his. It's a shame what I had to do to the Boy Wonder.
Did you intend this as actual dialogue? 'Cause it looks pretty decent to me.
With the slight edit of not mentioning Robin yet, if Supes thinks he's hurt then he'll act with more urgency.

>>2199177
>Fight after bants
Too much Banter makes it clear we are staling we need him to be focused on us. The moment he tries to leave we can say "ah ah ah, we're still chatting and dont you want to know why Light decided to fuck with you guys?" then blow ourselves up once the other bomb does
>>
Wait. We need to come up with some bullshit sob story. Supes loves playing amateur therapist with sympathetic villains

"Every way is the easy way Superman, at least for you. But don't you SEE, this whole situation at the tower might come to a HEAD very soon. If only you could LOOK at this through my EYES. You could see I didnt want to do this." You say, emphasizing specific words. Superman raises an eyebrow.
"You're not making much sense, you recently get out of Arkham?" He asks walking forward. You slowly step back. "No..not Arkham, I did join up with Light though. But I never wanted it to go like this. Speaking of Arkham however..is Batman nearby I really am a fan of his. I'd like to talk to him."

Your back hits the door. You check your watch. One minute left.

"And why would he want to talk to you?" Asks Superman beginning to stretch his arms as he draws closer.

>>
>>2199238
Yeah, I kinda missed that. Got back late.
Also, whoever we're working for attacked a hero complex. The JLA and its member organizations don't work for any government IIRC; pretty sure they're gonna want to get to the bottom of this. And when they open this can of worms, we can (hopefully) slip out. Hell, maybe even join the Titans.
>>
>>2199234
If we pull something like that then they may be much more cautious about our corpse.>>2199221
>>Because I knee-capped his Bat in training.
And keep trying to make space betwren us and him. Maybe try the old back up to the ledge and surprise jump thing. Then supes has to catch us which will even further kill time before the bomb
>>
>>2199242
>Hell, maybe even join the Titans.
We've killed at least 60 people and we're an enforcer for the Russian mafia. You're thinking completely out of character because you don't wanna be a villain (which we inherently are). The way I see it our priorities should be
>Staying alive
>Getting revenge on the guy who had our dad killed
>Figuring out how to escape with Black
If superheroes do shut down the suicide squad program we're looking at multiple life sentences for our crimes.
>>
>>2199242
And, hmm... Reading back, letting Plastique go violated none of our mission parameters (nowhere was it written that she had to DIE. Only that the bomb's detonation had to be ensured, and that she wouldn't come back with us to the facility). Blabbing to Supes does. So better safe than sorry?
>>
Well I did say don't say our plan out loud and instead note it down since we were in the Tower figured pen and paper wouldn't be hard since we tore some pages out etc. Guess we're gonna see how things go
>>
>>2199246
There's no real reason to blab to supes in the first place.
>>
>>2199246
I assume you missed the bit about desertion/leaving
>>
>>2199250
Leaving does not equal desertion if she doesn't have a choice in the matter.

And, of course, we did employ lethal force to the best of our ability given our objectives. When choosing whether to pursue killing her or ensuring the success of the main goal, of course we could leave her be to go stall Superman. Waller would be stupid to argue that we should have done otherwise.
>>
>>2199245
We aren't a villain. We're some rando metahuman trained as a solder, who came home and found his dad hurt. Emotional, sure. But villanous?

>>2199250
Isn't this all the more reason to get out now? We might have nothing waiting for us back in the facility except for our execution.

>>2199249
Like you said, first priority is staying alive. I'm not to sure I'd trust someone not to kill me, after disobeying their instructions and saying my plans aloud so they can hear. But Superman is Superman. He's capital-H Hope.
>>
>>2199254
We shot Robin in his knee. We're definitely a villain.
>>
>>2199258
That was... something.
You know what, fine. Let's go back to our CIA-equivalent handler, and probably die a lot.
>>
>>2199254
Ok yeah your retarded. There is no "Leave" The moment we rat out they blow the Spine Trap and we perma die. There is no out of this get that into your head, Waller for now owns us.

So far your plan is "try defecting" which 100% death. the other option is do the mission set and take the unknown %.

>>2199253
And you seem to be equally as thick since you seem to think a fucking spook like Waller would be ok with a loose end like Plastique if she knows.

Our secret/not so secret objective was too ensure anyone who tried to run/leave the team or turn coat dies.
>>
>>2199264
To the best of our ability, to ensure that they die AND to ensure the success of the mission.

Superman stopping the bomb would cause the mission to fail. Therefore, stopping him is of equal if not greater important to killing Plastique, given the emphasis on not letting the mission be sabotaged.
>>
>>2199270
You don't argue with a spook. They give you a goal, you achieve it. Act to smart and do more then you have gone above your pay grade and your on the fast track to being locked down like Black was. Use the fact they have our History against them, they know we were a soldier now act like a good boy and follow orders to the letter. The very moment we let Plastique live it was on us and Black. Super man filing this mission is actually more acceptable than someone escaping to leak the entire operation.

The main thing i was addressing was
>Leaving does not equal desertion if she doesn't have a choice in the matter.
There was a choice we pop her top and stop any leaks, oh wait we cant.
Secondly Leaving this unit is desertion get your head in the context

"Well he probably wants to sit me down especially since I just knee-capped his bat brat back there." You say giving Superman your best shit eating grin. You regret it almost immediately as superman lifts you by your throat. "You did what." He says. You watch his eyes go a strange color as he looks over your shoulder.

Next thing you know you feel your self flying through the greenhouse glass wall. You slowly stand as Superman rips the door from it's hinges.

"Hey Superman!" You yell

He takes a look at you, eyes glowing red.
"Tell Batman we need ti talk sometime, he owes me." You say as a boom shakes the tower. You grab the phone and hit call, feeling your back burst open. You lay back and watch Superman after a few moments go flying over you with two red bodies in each arm.

Then it's all black. You remember this. Your consciousness still thinking while you sit in empty black. This death hurt like a bitch but you know you'll wake soon enough. You begin to feel again.

Your back aches but you feel freezing and your head is full of pressure. You open your eyes to see the world upside down. You feel rope tied tightly around your feet before you hear the voice deep and menacing behind you.

"I've installed frequency wave disruptors in this room, as well as a cell jammer. Amanda Waller isn't capable of saving you."

You feel a brutal impact on your ribs and hear a few cracks as you assume one breaks. You gaps for breath before another force slams into your stomach making you cough up jerky flavored water which splatters on the cement floor.

"I have a lot of questions, and I'll expect answers. Or what you did to Robin will seem like a therapeutic excercise." You feel your head lifted right side up until you are staring into blank off white voids surrounded by a shadowy mask.

The face has been in papers enough for you to know. This is the Batman.

"I want to know who else Amanda Waller teamed you with." He growls

You close your mouth feeling the blood fill it as you wait for him to turn you to face him again. You let out a small spray of blood that coats his face. He growls and pulls back the knife before you hear a sharp whistle.

"Enough." This voice is familiar. You feel the rope go slack as your back hits the floor. You look up to see Batman begin to melt into a brown red sludge. You watch as the sludge travels into the dark of the room. You hear the click as floodlights show the same room you originally woke in. The Sludge travels until it reaches a large metallic cylinder, it's followed by men carrying large backpacks with flamethrower looking guns connected to them. The cylinder seals and they move forward to cut you free.

"No restraints, unless you want to be flash frozen by liquid nitrogen guns and put on opposite ends of the earth." Waller states as she steps from behind a lamp blinding you.

"You didn't break, even when you thought the Batman himself was on your ass." She claps slowly

"They call that loyalty, it's a dying trait in people. But needed in leaders, that's what you wanted right? To be a leader? Your tape against Bane was impressive, and you took out two extraordinary combatants and succeeded in destroying the mainframe." She kneels down and puts a hand om your cheeks, squeezing them and making your lips pucker.

She set some remote timers and tried to bail, Black stopped her and when it looked like a fight could break out I Poped her to ensure the mission would go on as planned

>Doctor Light
He says he made a video but by not being there at the end he made it seem suspicious. Secondly a video claiming he did it, to cliche, far to cliche

She will have debriefed the others in a similar method possibly so who knows. They over played their hand by having that questioning take place like that, we now know exactly what she is probing for.

Entirely possible. Stick to our story anyway.
Maybe her sensors were buggy. Maybe it was something in the Tower.
All you know is that you tried to pop her and she popped.
If Waller wants to know more, fuck if you know, they're her toys.

>>2199254
>We aren't a villain.
You are legitimately delusional.
Granted, we're a far cry from the Joker or Darksied, but fuck man, we are a murderous bastard with some positive traits.

Also, to any considering it, any defection to the Good Guys has the best ending of a posh cell for the rest of our life.
No freedom.
No heroics.
No revenge.
Bad end.

>>2199093
I dug this though, if Supes nuked our bombs safely all we had to do was run. From Superman. And bail on our vengeance.
Not great.

Can always go Anti-Villain route.
>>
>>2199823
I would say more anti-villain than pure villain.

From what I’ve gathered of Chris, he’s extremely loyal to his teammates (which makes sense given his military background, leave no man behind.) he’s pragmatic and not afraid to hurt people who get in his way. However, so far he’s also only killed people who deserved it. The best way to describe him is mercenary. But I like to think he goes out of his way to prevent innocent people getting hurt.
>>
>>2200089
>a mercenary
Yep. I mean, he didn't kill Robin or anything and he easily could've.
>>
>>2199529
Pretty much as >>2199804 said. At the moment its our word. the Bomb may have got triggered because Black squeezed her and it thought it was been tampered with, we hit the button the same time ish so nothing seems wrong to us, we pressed the button and around then she poped, end of story.

>>2200097
No if we killed Robin we'd be in trouble with Waller, we even directly asked to be sure.

>>2200089
We are a villain through and through, what do you think we did as an enforcer? Our job would have been scaring people into protection money, doing hits, dealing with loose ends, intimidation. We are far, far from an anti-villain.
>>
>>2200269
>we'd be in trouble with Waller
So you're saying you know why other players voted for an option? Did you get into their minds or something?

Adding to that this is what the character said to unconscious Robin:
"It really isn't personal kid, sorry."

But sure, you own the quest right?
>>
>>2200288
Nah, he's right. I voted for the option because it was the pragmatic choice
We're defs villian material, you don't serve time in the Russian mob without having a fucked up moral compass.
>>
>>2200302
And two other people voted for a different reason, what's your point?

I stated the fact he didn't kill Robin. He's stating he didn't do it because X. I'm countering with: no, not all of us voted because of X and there's an in-character indication that he wasn't exactly into it.

I'm not saying he's some kind of criminal mobster with a no-kill rule, I'm defending the notion that he's not a fucking psycho who would kill Robin just because he could, even without Waller breathin down his neck.
>>
>>2200302
But that said, we're professional. No unnecessary violence or evil.

We do the minimum violence that needs to be done to complete the mission/turn a profit/escape Waller's grip. The exception of cause being revenge, then we do the maximum violence possible without impeding future vengeance.

Id also say we've got a few good traits
Loyalty
Self-sacrificing nature in protection of our teammates even if they're new
We look after people when there's no pragmatic reason not too (eg we were pretty fatherly toward Plastique)

I feel like we're usually a nice guy when not killing/enslaving people for profit. Maybe a bit of an anger problem, don't pick a fight with hi after vodka unlesd you want to be glassed and left for dead.
>>
>>2200321
>I'm defending the notion that he's not a fucking psycho who would kill Robin just because he could,
Agreed. But if we needed to clean up witnesses we'd do it without hesitating.
>>
>>2200327
I'm guessing if it was necessary. I'm not saying he's a goody two shoes, but you had it right on your previous post:
He's got some virtues (as shown in his team work) but above all he's a professional. He doesn't need to kill? He won't. He needs to kill? He will.

More of a professional mercenary than a Joker.
>>
"Light and Plastique. She didnt stay with the bomb and people aren't convinced it was Light." You answer

Waller releases your face. "Half right, Plastique died, mostly because she was not much use to me. She could set explosives and well sp could most of the squad. She was more of a test, wasn't sure what I was going to do woth her until you beat Bane. Then I knew she could be a test." Says Waller pacing in front of you
"You're a man defined by loyalty, to your platoon, to your mob family, to your actual family and even to a team of scum that you were forced into. It's rare in a person. But you put loyalty to the mission over loyalty to your unit and that is what leaders need to be able to do." She looks at you and smiles slightly

"You said I was half right?" You say through a swollen lip.

"Yes, unfortunately the other person to fail their objective was you. You didn't kill someone looking to sabotage us." She hands you a small phone with a video on it.

"Uploaded to the titans server just before the bomb went off."

You hit the play button.
"Hello Teen Titans and Justice League. My name is Doctor Arthur Light, and I was responsible for the bomb in your tower. But it was against my own will I did this, an invisible hand guides the actions of myself and my cohorts. The hand belongs to Amanda Waller, a government official that puts together teams of less than savory individuals to perform crimes and espionage under the cover of villainy. You must know, I never wanted this, but if we refuse we die. I am so sor-"

You hear your own voice in the background shouting to Light and he faces the camera. "Help us." The video ends

"As you can see the Doctor had other ideas, luckily we transferred the file before it was viewed and it is now safely off the Titan network. But still, trying to expose the squad can not be allowed. So you really want to be a leader we need you to prove it. Doctor Light is in a cell down the hall, kill him to set an example for the rest of the program and I'll put you in charge of your own Squad. Do we have a deal?"

At least, we'll kill DL. There's no way the conspiracy can let him live now and I don't see any way out of this. They'll certainly have sensors in place to ensure he doesn't fake his death.
Furthermore if we don't kill him now then he may break, spill the beans on P and get us all killed.

But do we want to be a leader of a squad? We mainly fought Bane to train, to work out our pissed-off anger and for the hell of it.
I guess being in charge gives some extra power that might help our escape but it will mean we're watched more closely.
I guess it's worth it overall.

"You have a deal." You say without hesitating

Waller raises an eyebrow. "Wow, didn't expect you to so willingly agree. Not a fan of light?"

"He was a team member and he betrayed us, it was an extremely stupid thing to do. So what's done is done." You say standing slowly. Amanda grins at you.

"Never had someone so willing to get elbow deep in the dirty stuff." She looks at you amd you focus on staying neutral, no use letting her get her rocks off anymore than she is already. You are escorted to a door with a large sliding lock in place. The lock slides open and the door screeches as the iron hinges give in to years of wear. In the center of this small cell you see Light hanging by his wrists. His armor gone, his body covered in cuts and bruises as he sways in nothing but a pair of boxers.

Before you enter Amanda stops you, she pulls a small pistol from her jacket and hands you the firearm. "Fast or slow it doesn't matter to me." Her smile makes your skin crawl.

You take the gun and step inside the room, the only light being from the hallway.

"Who is it? Waller? Flag? Please..I was misguided, I was afraid please." He begs

You hear him begin to snivel when the room remains quiet. You turn around and see Waller, arms folded.

You take the compact firearm and step into the room, your bare feet slapping against the floor almost silently. You stop infront of Light as he looks around.

"Who is there? Hello? I hear you breathing." He says quietly

You turn to look at Waller, she gives you a small nod and you perform what your Russian trainers described as a Mozambique. You quickly go to put two shots into his chest moving automatically only to hear two clicks and a third as the barrel rests and inch away from his forehead. Light begins to hyperventilate, you turn to Waller confused and watch as she hits a button on her watch and you only hear a high pitched whine and feel warm liquid splatter your face.

You look back and see a limp body with no head dangling before you. Waller claps again smiling wider. "Now I couldn't trust you with bullets in that gun, but maybe I was wrong. This loyalty won't be forgotten. Lets walk and talk." She says turning and slowly exiting the room. You give one more look at Light amd tirn to follow.

"This prove my loyalty? Or at least my desire to live." You ask

"Something like that, it proves you're made of harder stuff than your peers. You can lead, I'd put money on it." She says

They are there so if things go tits up its all deniable and the Spook will vanish and be resigned. the program on hold for a few years before rebooting
>>
"What are the benefits to being a leader?" You ask, curious as you didn't see Black with much more luxuries.

"Well for one you get to make requests, your former captain Manchester only wanted cigarettes and a stereo with his favorite songs. You can get anything you'd like as well, some authentic vodka, your own room, I dont care. It also lets you be a bit more selective with who you work with. You need someome transferred out or need a new member you come to me. Now this trust isn't free, I expect to be kept in the loop on everything your squad does, including when they're off mission."

You all turn into a light tiled room playing classical music. You hear a hiss and the wall closes begind you showing a set of shower heads.

"Shower up. After that we move on to team selection and getting you an Operational Name." She says

"A what?"

"Deadshot, Doctor Light, things like that. A codename. Now get clean. We talk in 15."

You watch as Waller leaves through glass sliding doors that are flanked by benches and lockers. You stand in the shower room, still with the pistol in hand. You check the gun out, no bullets. Looks fresh, never fired. You set it on a bench and remove the little bloody clothing you had on. Feeling the hot water is almost enough to help you forget everything that happened. You can't help but remember Plastique, you pray she made it out okay. You try not to think of Light as you remove small red jellied bits from your beard. You eventually decide to get your mind off of the recent events and think on the future.

You start to think about the code names and your possible options. What is a good operational name?

You finish your shower after a classic philosophical debate in your mind about the practicality and use of an operational name. You remember the drinking songs you and your comrades in Russia used to sing about the immortal mystic Rasputin. In between the hell of training and operating with them, the drinking and the brotherhood kept you sane.

You step out from the shower head and open a locker finding a towel, black shirt and sweatpants. You leave the shower room through the sliding doors and find your way down a hallway and into the same meeting room as before. You feel like even if you did mamage to deactivate your bombs you'd be wandering these halls for hours trying to find the way out. You sit at the table as Waller approaches handing you a small tablet.

"Decide on a name?" She asks

"I figured Rasputin made the most sense." You say half embarrassed Waller only nods quietly.
