General rules:

There is a 10 minute voting period after each post. Non-contradictory votes will be combined as best as possible.

Write-ins for all votes are always welcome and encouraged. They may not all make it into the post or be altered to fit in, but I'll do my best to at least try to address the spirit of the write-in.

Very important or contentious votes may be redone in a stricter voting system as circumstances warrant.

Combat mechanics are up in the air. Suggestions are welcome. We'll be trying some new things out so I appreciate your patience as we fine tune it. Stronger moves tend to take more time and have more cooldown than weaker moves, so beware of that timing. I also want to try a more varied turn system so you and your opponent can do a few things in a row more often. Speed is more important for closing ground, intercepting, and other things and doesn't necessarily mean going first.

Call me out on a mistake and receive a suggestive picture.

Pokemon:
Gobble (Munchlax)
Mace (Roggenrola)
Belladonna (Budew, for now)

Bella lights up, figuratively and literally. The temple staff retreat from her, to give room, then start chanting.

You hear the pattering of barefeet on wood, a sound you can only assume is Keira. You’re not sure how she know’s what’s happening, but you’re glad she’ll be here.

Laki gently places Belladonna on the kitchen counter. A terrible sin when cooking that you’re perfectly okay with forgiving.

Bella’s elation turns a little confused and scared. Does she understand what’s happening? She seems mostly happy, but all the eyes on her and chanting and dancing lights and smells of the kitchen are overwhelming.

The light builds. She begins to look more worried and confused.

“LakI! What do we do?”

“What are we, married?” She mocks.

“We can arrange that.” Brother Puna says. Laki shoots him a look that says he’s lucky he’s a holy man.

Laki does soften when she see’s the worry on Bella’s face. “Oh. Oh hey, Bella, it’s going to be okay. Herb will tell you what’s going on and I’m going to be right here. Feel my finger?” Laki gently scratches Bella on her back and hums a song. The robed people look a little surprised at the song, whatever it is, but say nothing. Laki arrives but just watches with those constantly fascinated, wide eyes of hers.

Bella looks to you for answers.

“Uhm. I’m. Err. When you get to a certain age, your body goes through changes.”

She looks more confused.

You’re usually not this bad, but her helpless face just made your heart skip, and the baco bread emotionally sent you for a loop. You take a breath to start again. “Okay-”

Mace parks himself in front of you and starts saying something to her.

He’s helping! Right on, Mace!

He is helping, right? You know how Mace feels about evolution. He wouldn’t try to scare her, would he? Would he even consider it scaring her, or just doing what he feels is best?

She makes a worried noise at something he communicated.

Mace is also hung up on the idea that you lose yourself when you evolve.

He shouldn't hit her with his fears right before she evolves. It may be good for him to see she doesn't suddenly become a different person as well.

Well evolution for Pokemon means different things sometimes. Budew grow naturally into Roselia. Roggenrola grow into Boldore when their smaller bodies can't contain their energy anymore.

You gently put a hand on Mace to let him know that you have this. He stops and lets you handle it.

“Bella, you’re going through a perfectly normal change. It happens to almost everyone. You’re going to get bigger, feel a lot of changes to your body, and it might be a little awkward at first.”

The light strongly pulses.

“But none of that will change how I feel about you. It’s a new chapter in your life, and I know you’ll handle it just as well as-”

Whoosh! A bright pulse of light comes out and you have to cover your eyes. When you open them, there’s a beautiful Roselia in front of you.

“As you always have.” You gently say and reach out to her.

She freezes for a moment, then leaps to hug you. You hug her back and say all sorts of nice things that come to mind. She looks fantastic, and she’s stronger. You can feel it in her grip. Her petals look beautiful. She smells good, too.

After you're done flattering her, she calls over to Laki to join the hug.

“Oh. Well. I can wait until you’re done.” Laki says. A bit self conscious with everyone watching. Seeing her be anything less than aggressive is a rare sight.

Belladonna make some very demanding noises and gestures, practically bullying Laki to come over.

“Okay! Okay.” Laki says, giving an embarrassed grin to everyone else.

Bella makes a satisfied noise as she’s gently squishes between you and Laki.

“What was that song you were humming before?” You ask her.

“It’s an old raiding song. A low hum for keeping the canoe paddling in sync.” She explains as she breaks the hug. It takes a few attempts, with Bella pulling her back in by the shirt.

The kitchen comes to a calm and the temple people offer Bella a nice gesture. It looks a lot like when Keira blesses something.

Gobble pulls on your leg. You give him a good sized piece of the baco bread and he seems very physically satisfied. He pats his belly and sits with a happy expression on his face. After a second though, he pokes you again. This time, he points to your belly.

“You’re worried about me getting enough?” You ask.

He nods.

You pop a small peice in your mouth and pat him on the head. He’s so considerate. And wow, this bread is tasty. Very rich and fatty, but so good. You swell with pride and give Bella some too. She nibbles it daintily but very quickly, then rewards you with a cute noise.

You offer some to Mace. He makes a noise and turns away.

“Mace. It wasn’t anything personal. It wasn’t about you. It was about Bella.”

He’s still facing away, but he turns a little to better hear you.

“I respect your choice, and I trust you. But it’s different for every pokemon. But in this sort of thing I’m sort of like her dad, and it was really my place to talk to her.”

He slackens. At least, as much as a rock can slacken.

“Bread?”

He turns and grabs some. He’s not apologizing, but he’s not mad, either.

“Are we good?”

He nods. He just needs some time to cool off. The bread helps.

Speaking of, you’d better be careful. You don’t want to use it all right away. You check what’s left, but see you’ve only had a fraction of the loaf. This stuff really is filling!

“Do I smell baco bread?” Brother Hoon pokes his head in.

You spend a little more time going around the temple. Brother Hoon apologizes, saying that things are a little behind because he needs to settle a debate that some of the members are having. He invites you to attend if you want.

“Sure.” You say and follow. Laki and Keira go with him as well. You place Bella on the floor and have her walk along. She’s grown a bit fast, but she already seems to be getting the hang of her new body. At least, for the simple stuff. She’s loving all the attention.

Brother Hoon opens the heavy doors, revealing a room lively with debate. It’s divided into two sides, with more young people on one side and older people on the other, with a few exceptions.

You, Laki, Keira, and your pokemon take a seat in the back. Cutiefly lands on Keira’s shoulder, but also comes to yours occasionally, too. Bella, instead of cowering from it or avoid it, shows her a thorn and a very Laki-like expression. You make a mental note to keep an eye on that.

They’re tearing down one of the old dilapidated buildings on the grounds. The debate seems to be over whether to build a new wooden one, or import a prefabricated metal one. The younger people are for importing, and the older people are for building a wooden one. Each has a spokesperson.

“It’s our way.” The older one says.

“Respectfully, do we not teach to learn new things? Take apart devices and see how they work? Lead the islands in not just worship and reverence for electric pokemon and auras, inventiveness and analytical drive, but progress itself?”

“And what’s to learn if you have someone else do your work for you? We should build. Half the youngsters here haven’t erected a building in their lives.”

The younger one shifts gears. “When I studied to earn my beads, I didn’t just learn about electricity or electronics. I also focused on factories. Economics. With all the work that it takes to find the right trees, replace them with saplings, carve the wood, coat it, erect it, and everything else, we could grow a full garden harvest of vispum to sell, on top of our usual fundraising activities. It’s what they call ‘comparative advantage.’”

“We’re aware of the concept.” Brother Hoon interrupts. “It’s why we study what we study, and not what Priestess Keira studies. Specialties are not a foreign idea.” That last part is directed to the older debater.

“We’re a temple, not a business! The costs may work out in labor time and money we could earn, but at what spiritual cost? What lesson are we teaching with this Slakoth behavior?”

“We’re the most progressive temple in the region. It’s our job-”

“Exactly why we should be cautious. Where we go, others follow. Nobody wants to exceed us. But if we take steps in this direction, others will feel validated in doing as we do. We need to look at the larger, historical picture, not fads like this vispum nonsense.”

“It’s not a fad. Not unless you’re suggesting that vispum will suddenly stop growing.” The younger one tries to mock the older one.

“What a shame that would be.” The older one mutters. “People going back to self reliance and discipline.”

Brother Hoon has to interrupt again. He taps a cane. “Brothers. You’re losing focus of the debate. We’re just discussing a new shed.”

Clearly it’s about more than a shed.

“Perhaps we need an outsider’s opinion. Someone less emotionally involved.” He gestures in your general direction.

It's easy to just buy a shed, but knowing how to make one is a useful skill to have. Build this one, and maybe buy the next building that needs to be replaced.

>>You think they should build it, even if it takes more labor time that could be used somewhere else

I don't think thats how Herb would bring it, but I approve of the overall message here. Capitalism is basically a method to have the whole world cooperate, fallible a method though it may be. If anything, a temple should be supporting capitalism without greed, balancing on a knife's edge.
>>
>>985011
>>985007
These feel like a good compromise. Bring in the materials and a specialist to oversee and train the acolytes building a duo Wood/metal shed.

This way, they gain knowledge with the shed, while remaining true to their fundamentals of being progressive but at a steady pace.

You look to Laki and Keira. Keira looks like she’s never considered these larger picture things before. Laki looks bored out of her mind. Not out of being lost, but like she’s been down this road a million times. You would have expected the opposite from those two.

“Well, on the one hand,” you begin. Laki moans quietly to herself. “Nobody can do everything themselves, and I saw a lot of stuff in the temple that wasn’t made here. The mainland economy is all about specialization.” You feel like you’re reciting an old presentation you did for class once.

The younger one likes where this is going.

“But on the other, it’s good to learn. You can’t really put a price on that. And discipline and the satisfaction from doing something yourself, and all that sort of stuff is important.” You’re still beaming inside with pride about the baco bread. “And I don’t know a lot about your ways. Umm, yet, anyway, but it sounds like that’s what you’re saying.” You gesture to the older one.

He nods.

“So I think you should still build it yourselves. I don’t know anything about building materials, but if you do go with metal, or both, then that’s like a double lesson.” There’s some confused murmuring, you press on, playing with your fingers and looking around. “There’s no reason why you can’t still build it yourself. If you don’t know how with the metal, then you can get someone to show you. You save time getting the materials, learn a new skill, and you can still say you built it yourself.”

The room remains silent for a minute. You’re not the best speaker, but you feel like you made a lot of good points. People look to you and each other, processing what you said.

The room erupts into debate! This time even more invigorated. Brother Hoon comes over to sit next to you.

“That was a wise compromise.”

You’re confused. “But everyone is arguing even more.”

He smiles. “Nobody is ever satisfied with a wise compromise, John.” He sighs happily and adjusts how he’s sitting. “You’ll learn that as you get older. Human beings can be strange creatures like that.”

“Oh.” You look down. “Sorry I caused everyone to fight.”

“Don’t be silly. They caused it themselves. And besides, a lively, respectful debate is not unlike a pokemon battle. You’re in it to win, but even if you lose you come out having learned something and connecting with your opponent. But I suppose that’s a lesson more from my fire temple days.” He leans up, then gestures over the lively crowd. “This isn’t a democracy. I’ll take your advice and announce it when things calm down. They’ll all grumble about me, and it will bring them together. That’s just the way of things.”

You look to Laki, she shrugs. You get the feeling she doesn’t really want to stay, but she doesn’t hate the idea either.

“I wouldn’t want to be a bother.”

“Please, I insist.”

“I don’t mind getting out of your ha- err, removing myself.”

“Please, I insist.”

“Okay! I’ll stay the night.”

Laki does the same song and dance. When it comes to Keira, though, it’s a reversal. She asks to stay and he insists that it’s not good enough for her presence. At the end though, everybody is staying the night.

You’re shown to your room. It’s a bit bare, but comfy looking. A cot on a mat on the floor. Gobble flops right on top of it. Bella runs around exploding. Mace just finds himself a small enclosed spot to cram himself it.

You try and figure out if you’re tired enough to sleep when there’s sound from outside the room next to yours. You can hear some soft mumbling, but it’s much louder as the door opens.

You inspect the wall and find a small, sliding door between your room and the next. When you peer through a crack in it, you see Jane! Why is she everywhere you are?

She stretches and sits herself down, then takes out a few things from her bag.

What should you do? Hope she doesn’t find the hidden doorway?

You ponder this while playing with Bella. She climbs all over you, chasing a bundled sock you’re waving around. She reminds you a bit of Keira with how she climbs over your face and doesn’t care about her skirt. She tumbles and falls on her face a few times but doesn’t care one bit. You stop playing with her for just a second, and she’s already falling asleep.

You guess you should say hi to Jane. You inhale, then turn around.

“Gah!’ you leap back as you see a blue eye peering at you.

“I knew you’d look!” She says in that tone of hers.

“I wasn’t looking! And besides, you’re looking right now!”

She looks away and coughs. “Only to catch you.”

You two look at each other’s eyes for a second.

“So."

“So.”

Another very long few seconds drag on by.

“I just wanted to say hi.”

“Hi.” She replies, flatly, still watching.

“You uh, here for a shard?”

“Yes.” She replies, flatly.

“Seen the others?”

“They’re here. They’re all asleep.”

“How do you know that?”

You see the eye roll. “Don’t pretend like you don’t.”

You sigh. She’s back to being her old self and then some.

It's just probability. I used a basic calculator.

Probability of all 3 being less than 10 is
(10/100)^3 = .001 => 0.1%

Probability of any being a critfail (that is, a 1) is
1 - (99/100)^3 = 0.029701 => 2.9701%

Just replace the exponents with 4 if you want the probability of all 4.

No no, she's simply preparing the lovely surprise we asked for.
>>
You sit and chat with the eyeball in the wall for a bit. Weather, the trip here, pokemon she’s spotted. She gets less curt over time as she lowers her guard.

“You can’t be comfortable, hunched over by the crack like that. Want to come in?”

“Okay. Fine. Stay there. I’m just trying to be polite.” You say. “Maybe play cards or something.”

The eye thinks. “I see what you’re doing. I won’t fall for it. I’m coming in.” She covers the hole for a second, then comes crawling in a few seconds later, wearing a robe.

“Hmm. I see your pokemon evolved. Wasn’t it newly hatched? That’s awfully quick. I guess you’d push her, wouldn’t you?”

“I didn’t!” You whisper as loudly as you can.

Mace makes a quiet noise in your defense.

“Thanks, Mace.”

He turns around and faces against the wall so he can’t hear anymore and go to sleep.

“Whatever.” Jane shuffles some cards. You play a game from the mainland. You avoid mentioning that part. She seems very culturally aware right now. She even has her hair up in buns a bit like Keira.

You talk some more, in hushed whispers. You congratulate her on her shard. She compliments your trickiness in getting yours. You sense a bit of sarcasm in that. Still, she’s slowly coming around. You think she’s moving from hating you to liking the rivalry she’s built up in her head.

You look over your hand, keeping your eyes off of her smooth legs. You’ve got a bad feeling about this, despite having great cards. But what's the worst that could happen?

“Well?” She eyes you over. “Don’t tell me I have you cornered, like our last battle.” A creepy smile crawls up her lips. There's a hint of friendliness in there, too, though.

“Oh, right.” You rearrange your cards. But as you do, you drop a few. “Hold on, I got it.”

She reaches for them at the same time, and both of you bump heads. You stumble forward, stepping on her robe. She tries to get up but your weight is on it so she stumbles now too while ripping it open.

“What are you-”

“I just-”

Through some sort of unbelievable statistical anomaly, you go stumbling back out your room door. It must not have been closed all the way because it flies open, then shut.

You lay on top of each other for a second. Her eyes go from shock to surprise to you’re pretty sure intent to murder. Before she can say anything though, you hear footsteps down the hallway. She grabs your hand and drags you in the opposite direction. You end up going pretty far due to the steps constantly getting closer. Another set of footsteps is in the opposite direction, so she drags you into a closet.

You both press against each other, keeping silent while footsteps go by. You didn’t see much, but she’s clearly only in her underwear.

“Do you have any idea how shameful it is to be caught fooling around with a boy in a temple?” She whispers. “You didn’t this on purpose!” You feel hear breath on you face.

“No I didn’t!” You whisper back.

“I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that I’m out here in lace and you have a robe!”

You look down at her underwear. Yup, those are lacy. Not the best fit, though, maybe if she had a different style of-

“Eyes. Up. Here!”

You look up. Those eyes are scary.

Yeah, but then we're stuck between going out ourselves, in which case Jane might fear we won't actually come back, causing her shame in a holy place, or sending Jane out in a boy's robes. Damned if we do, damned if we dont.

[Alright, since there's late but popular write-in, let's redo the vote just to be clear on what everyone wants to support.

If you vote for someone to just get clothes themselves, they'll still likely have a hard time sneaking back if they're caught, but it will not be nearly as bad as being caught together or with undies. You can just lie about being lost looking for the washroom or something. Although Herb isn't a great liar and Jane may have misgivings, so you still want to not get caught in the first place.

You’re about to leave when another set of footsteps comes by. You find a pantry this time. She wraps her legs around you and taps your legs to signal you to lift yours. You lift your feet up on a shelf.

“Raichu?” A voice whispers. You hear it low to the ground, looking under the small gap under the door.

You and Jane hold your breath.

The owner of the mischievous Raichu leaves, satisfied that he’s not here.

You both lower your feet.

“Hold on.” She whispers. “I think a plantain or something fell between us.” She reaches down. “What even is-”

You both freeze as you stare uncomfortably into each other’s eyes. Her gaze remains full of anger and hate, but her face turns a bright red.

She very slowly and carefully removes her hand. Both of you make an entirely psychic pact to pretend that didn’t happen.

“I can go back and get you something else to wear.” You emphasis your robe.

“Do you think I’m an idiot? I let you go, and you don’t come back.”

“Here.” You take off your robe, ignoring her. You just have boxers on. Wow, that feels vulnerable. “You do it.”

She holds it, thinking. She looks you up and down, and checks over the robe. After finding no reason to believe this is a trap, she puts it on. “If this isn’t a trick, I promise I’ll help you. If this is a trick," she violates your psychic agreement already and grabs it again, "I promise I will break you.”

She leaves.

And you wait.

And wait.

And wait.

You wait. What if she ditched you? It’s not like she likes you. You still don’t know why. You try to be friendly and she just puts you down.

The pantry door opens. It’s Jane!

“You c-”

You get a facefull of clothes.

“Shut up. There’s going to be a distraction in exactly one minute and thirteen seconds. Get dressed.”

You do as you’re told. Quickly. You watch as she mouths “three, two, one.”

She opens the pantry door. Just as she does, you hear a commotion coming from the shed.

“Nothing’s being broken.” She assures you. “Fletchfinder knows better than that.”

She drags you by the hand and through the hallway, guiding you out of the way of anyone that might catch you. You arrive at her room and you both go in. You just narrowly miss someone coming from around the corner down the hallway.

After a few minutes, there’s a shadow by her window. She retrieves the pokemon outside. “Good job, Fletchling.”

“You came back for me.”

“I made a promise.” She opens the small opening to your room. "Don't get any wrong ideas. I'm still not convinced that wasn't some weird game to you."

“Thanks.” you tell her as you crawl through. “I owe you.”

She follows. “Like I said. Don’t expect the wrong idea. But yes. Yes you do.”

You’re about to ask her why she followed, but it becomes clear when she picks up her cards and gestures you to make your move. Jane just can’t miss a competition.

You play your hand without even thinking about it. You’re exhausted. She checks over it eagerly. “Ha! I win again!”

Sure yeah. Whatever. You help her collect her cards. She stretches and crawls back to her room, covering her rear by holding the robe over it despite how short it is.

“You know.” What are you doing? She might literally kill you. “That bra probably isn’t comfortable. You can get the same lifting effect with a different fit.”

You hold your breath, waiting for a response from her through the crack.

“Go on.”

You go on to describe the different bra options. She insists she wasn’t going for a push-up effect, and you decide against calling that out. You mention a colour theory about how different combos work to make different effects depending on how high and low they go on the body.

“I knew that.” She says. “And while we’re on the topic, those boxers make you look scrawny.”

Ow. That caught you off guard. “Oh.” That’s a sensitive topic for you.

You listen to the sounds of leafs outside.

“John?”

“Yeah?” What else is she going to say?

“You didn’t look ba...I mean, you-” She sighs. “There are worse things than-.” She sighs again. “I’msorry.” Her voice is very low and she just barely gets that out quickly.

“What was that?” You’re not sure you caught it.

“Shut up and go to sleep.”

[That's it for tonight. Have a great one! Next thread probably the day after tomorrow]

>>
>>986899
The main issue people have with Jane is that she is a paranoid schizophrenic who seemed to have decided that Herb is the evil mastermind behind every major issue that happens. Not too far a stretch when we end up being at every single terrible event to happen on this island so far.

Laki's main issue stems from her confidence issues that lead to drinking and sexual promiscuity. She hates how she seized up at the games, its tearing her up inside, and she cant seem to get away from the hate, no matter where she goes.

Keira's issues are that she is a young girl who has never been around a guy like Herb, a guy who treats her the same way as he treats any other girl or guy. She also fell under the spell of general exotic natures, and her own hormones are currently fucking around with her brain.

Also, to you fucks out there who are complaining about the Keira lewdbin, we literally asked for that, postthread. I remember an anon asked if she could get off on Herb's cannon while he was asleep, and since the rest of the posts after seemed to agree, Gobble went and did a thing. You have no one to blame but yourselves for Keira's behavior, if only because you fucks didnt pay attention to postthread. So stop complaining, Keira knew it was bad of her, and she wants to make it better. Thats never going to happen if you keep avoiding her.
>>
>>986937
Who is avoiding her? I never wanted to waifu her this whole time and nothing has changed.
>>
>>986947
Sorry, shouldnt have said that we were avoiding her. Just what it seemed like to me.
>>
>>986955
I think it is just that from a narrative PoV Gobble is giving us chances to interact with others since Keira had the spotlight for abit. The excuse she is busy doing priestess things is a very good one.
>>
>>986937
>That rant at the end
>When nobody was even complaining
Even if someone was, blaming them for going to sleep after the end of a thread (they run into the next day for a lot of time zones), missing something and being upset at the results isn't going to make them stop, especially with an attitude that abrasive.
>>
>>986937
>and sexual promiscuity

Did you ignore the Laki bin? She was uncomfortable giving a handjob for fucks' sake. I'll be she's still a virgin.

>>

>Also, to you fucks out there who are complaining about the Keira lewdbin

No one's even complaining about that anymore. It was a few people who got laughed at last thread for overreacting, and it hasn't happened since then.

There's been a distinct lack of waifu fighting in this thread, and I'm happy to see that.

Ok, so I was taking a look at berries when I was reminded that different natures have different flavor preferences. Gobble records natures in the pastebin. Here's where we're at.

Gobble: Favorite flavor: Sour. Dislikes: Sweet.

Mace: Favorite flavor: Spicy. Dislikes: Sour.

Belladonna: Favorite flavor: Bitter. Dislikes: Sweet.

As you can see, we should avoid cooking sweet foods. Sour is good for Gobbs, but not Mace. Spicy and Bitter foods are good choices for meals for everyone. Dry foods aren't really special in any way.

Also we should start growing Iapapa berries for Gobbs.

This is a good game plan, but mostly this just made me imagine a Munchlax eating sour food and making this face.
>>
>>990372
Actually for Mace's nature (adamant) he should dislike dry foods. So if we were to actually follow this we wouldn't really have too many issues with conflicting tastes. Though I figure the fact Herb is cooking is probably enough for them to get over disliking certain flavors anyway even if we did.

yeah, pineapples are good for it

I've been saying that we need to get Keira to teach us about native foods, considering how she's been providing a good amount of the food when we're camping. A trip to the grass temple(whichever island that is on) would likely be good too, cause they probably have some crazy berries or recipes with native foods
>>
>>991195
Honestly, more than badges or contests, I think it would be cool to collect recepies from every temple. We definitely need to get a map to where they all are.

Collecting badges/ribbons is still good for that sweet sweet prize money though.

And spend it on Pinap berries.
>>
>>991270
Cooking Quest now, Badges and Ribbons are a plus.
>>
>>991270
not just temples, I bet we can find people around the islands that know special recipes. A friend of the fisherman that gave us the Old Rod might now how to make lures or some fish based recipe to stop supereffective water moves. Some uncontacted tribe on an out of the way island might know how to make items to increase a pokemon's strength or speed
>>
>>991303
Temples make a good goal because we know how many there are and they're all over, but we should definitely take other opportunities too. Nobody only battles at gyms, after all.

We should catch a shuckle and use it for fermentation recipies. In gen II you could use shuckle to turn berries into berry juice and turn berry juice into rare candies.

Now that'd be something to not fuckle with.
>>
>>991334
Shuckle are pretty great; though it'd be hard to push for one (for Herb anyway) between its type and being yet another slow Pokemon.

Wouldn't mind one for someone else though. I bet Laki might like one, especially if you can make the berry juice into more of a berry wine.
>>
>>991334
I'm down to see Herb pick up various recipies. Plus visiting all of the Temples sounds like it would be a lot of fun. If this temple is any indication it'll be really enlightening to learn the culture of the islands. I'd really like to learn more about dancing as well. I'd like to see Herb learn some of the local dances and teach his Pokemon some dance moves that may blend mainland and local styles.

Ok so I finished the mono-water meme team and tried it out. I definitely need to experiment more, but here are the first impressions. Mind, I know I'm not the most experienced or facing the most experienced battlers.

First off: Seaking. Surprise MVP. Lightning rod+rindo berry surprised both me and my opponents with its durability. My stand [SEAKING] has no weaknesses. She's also the fastest member of the bunch. Waterfall, smart strike, poison jab, and mega horn means that she can apply that glorious horn of hers to a variety of types.

Pelliper. The rain never ends and the twisters always hit. I'm wondering if I really need that damp rock. I'm not seeming to use u-turn, roost, or hydro pump though. Definitely want to revisit those.

Wishiwashi. Maybe she's more fragile than I expected, or maybe i shouldn't be expecting her to tank supereffective hits just because she's holding an Iapapa berry. I can see myself changing something in instead of u-turn. U-turn isn't great on these slow pokemon.

Pyukumuku. I don't know how to use it. Great if the opponent fucks up and uses trick room though. Puts up barriers Licketty split.

Golisopod and Araquanid. Why did I train both of these? I feel like I want to use them the same way. Maybe I should look at a utility/tank set for araquanid and keep Golisopod as beefy. I'd have to revered though.

Also, this thread doesn't seem to be archived. Who normally does that, and when?

Also also, could someone remind me of what the crit success/fail ranges are?

Also also also, I love you guys!

iirc Critical Successes are 97+ while crit fails are on a 1. They might happen on a 3 or lower, but I'm not sure since Bo3 with the best being a 3 is pretty rare.
