Seven years ago, the warrior race known as the Saiyans were annexed into Emperor Freeza's army. Since that day, the Saiyans have acted as the emperor's loyal soldiers, leading the charge onto hundreds of worlds and wiping out all who oppose Lord Freeza's rule. As mighty conquerors, destroying all who have stood against them, the Saiyans have made quite a reputation for themselves as some of Freeza's most powerful and loyal subjects.

The tales of the Super Saiyans have especially grown larger than life as of late. Two exceptional warriors, clad in glorious golden auras and leading charges against impossible odds: fighting legendary assassins, powerful demons, and entire armies by themselves, even facing Lord Freeza himself and surviving.

Welcome to Saiyan Conqueror Quest, currently Age 738. You the players control Karn, a Saiyan Berserker with a powerlevel of 97896 and are a leader of your own attack squadron. Your current teammates are:

Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
After sparring again with Freeza and realizing the true terrifying depths to his power, preparations are made for the coming invasion, Broly reveals his power, and an old friend is visited. As we rejoin Karn, Meloka, and Chaya, we were visiting the ward Chilli was being kept in, only to encounter a surprise guest.

“Tunnip?” Meloka asks the other Saiyan woman. “What are you doing here?”
“Meloka?” she asks, leaping up in surprise. “I was just, I mean I’d, umm...”
“Why would she be here in the mat-“ you think to yourself, until it hits you.

“So, which one’s yours?” you finally ask her, Meloka and Tunnip both stopping to look at you.
“How did you-“ she starts, before clapping both hands over her mouth.
“No way, really?” Meloka asks her, eyes lighting up. “So you and Na-“
“Yes! Yes, okay!?” Tunnip shouts, her cheeks turning a shade pinker as she leaps over and clamps a hand over Meloka’s mouth. Chaya finds this hilarious, laughing and clapping at the show. You chuckle as well, turning from the girls and instead looking at your son.

He floats peacefully in the pod, not quite developed yet but strong enough to have a faint power level signature you can sense. You put a hand on the pod, thinking to your son. But he doesn’t yet have enough of a mind to think. You turn towards Meloka and Tunnip, who’re looking in a pod and talking a mile a minute. Chaya walks to you, pointing up at the pod.

“Bro-er?” she asks you.
“Brother.” you reply, pick her up so she can see inside the pod, the young girl pressing her face into the glass.
“Out?” she asks you, turning from the glass to you.
“Not yet.” you tell her, setting her on your shoulders. “He’s gotta stay in there awhile longer.”
“Okaaaay.” she says, you both turning as Meloka walks over, waving to Tunnip as she takes off through a window.
“So, what now?” Meloka asks you. “Anything else you want to get done before we head out?”

“Yes Karn I hear you, what do you need?” comes Vegeta’s reply.
“Do you need us to do anything before we depart?” you ask the king. “We’re stocked up and ready to go.”
“Just finishing preparing for when we leave, nothing else needs done on my end.” he tells you. “However, it seems the scientists have finished developing those Saibaman creatures. You might want to stop by their lab and pick a few of them up for the invasion.”
“Thanks for the info, see you when we depart.” you say, ending the call.

“Well?” Meloka asks, Chaya looking curious at you. “What’s he need?”
“Nothing, he’s about wrapped up.” you reply. “But it seems those Saibamen have been finished, if we want to take some for the trip.”
“Do we really need such weak creatures with us?” she asks. “They’re not much more than cannon fodder.”

the idea being that the more energy we feed into the saibamen, the stronger they get, of course.

>>Go check it out, could be interesting
>>2150414
If that's the plan why not make them so they can drain an enemies energy like the androids could?
>>
>>2150415
Actually no, come to think of it, regular saiyans COULD make use of them, in a couple of ways.

One, it would be possible for multiple saiyans to feed a single saibaman's growth, meaning that they could put a powerful warrior on the field as needed, and two, it would also be possible to do the same thing as an oozaroo, making a particularly powerful (maybe giant?) saibaman that could face off against a particularly tough opponent.

“I’m gonna go check them out.” you say. “You coming?”
“Nah, we’re going back to the island.” Meloka says, Chaya waving at you as you both split and head seperate ways. It only takes you a minute to touch down by the scientists’ lab, automated door opening as you walk in.
“Ah, Karn, good to see you.” the Head Scientist says, shaking your hand as you walk in. “Vegeta told me you’d be stopping by. Good kid. So, interested in the Saibaman we’ve been working on?”
“I’m interested, let’s see what they can do.” you reply, following the older Saiyan deeper into the lab.

“We’ve been working on enhancing their combat abilities, as well as baseline strength.” he starts, doors opening into an arena of sorts. Two of the Saibamen stand in the center, one green and one yellow, fighting against each other. “Saibamen grown in the same soil won’t attack each other, so we have to test their abilities against each other with different planetary soil samples. The ground they’re planted in affects the strength of the Saibamen, but any soil should give at least a baseline of 1100 strength. The most we’ve seen is 1750, for a heavily-jungled world’s soil...”

As he drones on about soil composition and other such things, you focus on the creatures fighting. The green one finally wins the clash, knocking the yellow one back. It screeches in victory, its head splitting open and a spray of acid surging out, engulfing the other creature. It dances in sadistic glee, the yellow creature dissolving before its eyes. Its victory is short-lived, however, as a nozzle over the arena opens up, spraying the area with the same acid and dissolving that creature as well. You turn questioningly to the scientist, but he merely chuckles.

“If we let them outlive the battles, they usually try and destroy us.” he says, your mind reliving the giant blue one you’d put down before. “Its safest to destroy them after battles, however, their lifespan is only 36 hours. If you don’t finish a mission before then they’ll simply collapse, all life fading from their bodies. They can’t be revived after this point, so once they’re done they’re done. So, what do you say? Want to take some with you?”

“I think I’ll take 18 of them.” you say, the scientist rummaging around his desk until he pulls an odd-looking capsule, half filled with seeds and the other half with green sludge.
“This one should have that many.” he says, holding it up. These are the Saibamen seeds. You just plant them in the soil, then pour this culture fluid on them to accelerate their growth and be ready within half a minute. Good luck out there.”
“Thanks.” you reply, taking the capsule. “I’ll let you know how they do against these creatures.”

With that you depart, heading back towards the island. As you fly across the water, your scouter lights up.

“My loyal subjects.” Freeza says, his tone clear he’s speaking to everyone on the planet. “Today, we embark on a new conquest. The first steps taken into the West Quadrant, where you shall crush all opposition beneath your heels. Raze their cities, destroy their armies, and conquer their planets in my name.”

You touch down on the island, turning the scouter off as you see everyone gathering onto your ship. Meloka, Chaya, and the Guardian are all still outside waiting on you, your daughter rushing to you and leaping to your chest, hugging you.
“Daaa go?” she asks you, teary-eyed.
“Yeah kiddo, I gotta go.” you say, hugging her gently back. “Your mom and I gotta go to work, okay? I need you to be strong, and listen to what the Guardian says, okay?”

“O-otay.” she says, wiping her tears. She looks up at you with those big eyes of hers, sad to see you go.
“Take care of her for me.” you tell the Guardian, the wizend old alien just nodding then thinking at you,
“Careful, you should be. Danger, I sense in your future.”
With nothing to say to that, you simply nod to your mentor, boarding your ship. You hear Freeza’s voice coming through on the comms unit, still going at it.

“Now go forth, and destroy them!” Freeza shouts, his speech finishing and closing out. The line shuts off, your pilots taking off, your ship blasting from the planet’s surface amidst a sea of Attack Pods, all headed toward one objective.

Liftoff successful, four months until your destination is reached.” the pilots tell you, their voices still oddly in sync.
“Four months, huh? Sarada asks, walking onto the bridge to join everyone already here. “That’s not as far as I was expecting.”
“Our new homeworld is on the western edge of the North Quadrant.” Vegeta says, turning to her. Which I believe is why Freeza gave us this planet as a homeworld, in anticipation of this conquest.”
“It certainly sounds like him.” you reply, nodding at the king’s understanding.
“So, ready to dive into training?” Nappa asks, rolling his shoulder. “Four months is a long time to prepare.”

>>
>>2150565
You devote the first month of the trip to fulfilling your promise of teaching the Ginyu Force telepathy. Which goes, surprisingly well. The first week you telepathically contact each of them, explaining how to think at you back then ending the communication and waiting to see who could figure it out. Surprisingly, Recoome figures it out immediately, not overthinking the problem. He thinks right back at you;
“But how do we do it?”
“You’re doing it now!” you tell him, amazed. He picked it up on his first attempt, without even realizing it. “Well done Recoome, I didn’t think any of you’d pick it up so quick.”

With Recoome having learned it so easily, and using his newfound ability to brag to his teammates, the rest redouble their efforts to learn it. Guldo is next, his joy at figuring it out infectious. He then asks you to help him test something, then asks if you heard it.
“Heard what?” you reply, confused.
“Damn, seems it won’t work.” he says, dejected.
“What won’t work?” you ask him.
“I was wondering if I could use telepathy while time was stopped, but it seems I can’t be heard.”
“Wait, stop time?” you ask. “You can stop time?!”
“Y-yeah, but not for very long.” Guldo says. “I’m a psychic as well, but never picked up telepathy. This is a useful skill.”

And so it goes, Burter and Jeice figuring it out almost simultaneously. Captain Ginyu has the hardest time learning, but eventually figured out he was overthinking it and learned how to as well.

“The Ginyu Force thanks you!” they think simultaneously at you. “We shall oneday return this magnanimous favor!”

With the Ginyu Force having learned telepathy, you have three months left. Vegeta and Nappa have readjusted to 10x Planet Vegeta’s gravity, their previous maximum training level. Sarada and Leyas aren’ quite there yet, only to 8x. But Leyas has gotten stronger from Broly nearly killing him, your friend having jumped up in power to 49107. Meloka’s been working on her mastery over the Super Saiyan form again, her hair blonde and eyes green even through the night as she sleeps now, her transformation seemingly not affecting her negatively in the slightest. Ubo’s been working on his flying while Vegeta and Nappa work, the enhanced gravity a greater challenge than he’s used to.

What will you work on for the next month?
>Vegeta and Nappa, push them (maybe) to 30x
>Sarada and Leyas, catch them up to Vegeta and Nappa

Oh man, the potential for fake-out moves is incredible, especially as a team.

But more important i think is the ability to come up with plans almost instantly and in total secret, they can work together on the fly like they had this all planned out from the start.

That telepathy makes them a LOT more dangerous when they work together as a team, and it may well save their asses in the coming conquest.
>>
>>2150788
>all 5 Ginyu Force members now know telepathy and can transmit thoughts and visual images (?) instantly to each other and anyone they want
I expect a lot of outwardly silent but inwardly focused mental teamwork from them when we actually get to fighting the enemies.
Basically what >>2150805 said, along with Ginyu himself coordinating with his team-members on the fly while bodyjumping repeatedly.

OH SHIT
IF THEY CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO TRANSMIT EMOTIONS MENTALLY TOO, THEN THEY CAN TRANSMIT SHOCK AND AWE TO ENTIRE CROWDS OF ENEMIES WHILE THEY POSE AND MAKE THEMSELVES APPEAR MORE AMAZING TO THE ENEMY FORCES ALL AT THE SAME TIME
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>>
>>2150690
The second month of the trip you focus on training up your base Super Saiyan form, as Meloka has. The ability to hold the form for days at a time without any noticeable loss of stamina would greatly enhance your combat ability, no longer held back by how long you can hold onto the form. So Meloka instructs you on how she achieved it, once she’d become familiar with pulling the power without transforming. So you transform into a Super Saiyan, and focus on limiting your ki you draw from that well to a mere trickle, but a continuous one. This is more complicated than it sounds, the first week you lose the transformation before a full day has even passed. Over the next week you redouble your efforts, by the third week you’re better at controlling your ki output and maintaining the form for a full 16 hours amid your daily physical maintenance trainings. Yet by week four you still haven’t achieved full mastery over the form, still losing it every time you sleep. Despite that you feel close, right on the edge of a breakthrough. But, you do have other trainings to do as well. Nappa and Vegeta make decent progress, up to 14x Planet Vegeta’s gravity. But Sarada and Leyas, with Ubo joining and pushing them, have climbed up to 12x Planet Vegeta’s gravity, pushing themselves to the limits. Only two months left until your arrival in the Boran system.

What will you train now?
>Keep working on Super Saiyan training, you feel you’re almost there
>Work with Nappa and Vegeta, push them as high as you can
>Work with Leyas and Sarada, push them even harder
>Work with all four, Leyas Sarada Nappa and Vegeta, push them all higher together
>Work on Su Ma with Meloka, sharpen each other’s technique
>Work with Ubo on developing his ki usage
>30x gravity training yourself, push yourself even higher
>Work on learning new technique(s)
>Work on more physical combinations

Morale wins wars, my friend!

Actually, they could broadcast false images, pictures of the capital of whatever world they're conquering as little more than a smoking crater, it's king impaled and prostated before the throne, their finest warriors all torn asunder as their world burns... even if none of that has happened yet! That would kill the morale of many a soldier, and make the battle that much easier!

I’m back, sorry about the delay had to run a few errands.

>>2150821
For the third month you focus on applying what Meloka told you and mastering Super Saiyan, but also pushing Nappa and Vegeta’s training. The first day you walk in to their training by striding straight up to the gravity controller and cranking it straight to 20x Planet Vegeta’s, or 10x New Salda’s. The sudden spike in gravity floors the other Saiyans, both looking towards you incredulously.
“K-Karn! What the hell?!” Nappa shouts.
“What is the meaning of this?!” Vegeta chimes in, the two Saiyans struggling to their knees.
“Training time.” you reply, smiling down at the floored Saiyans. “I’m going to personally get both of you ready, not only this invasion, but to be strong enought to lead all of us. Now let us begin!”

The first week, it is 10x New Salda’s (20x Planet Vegeta’s) gravity. You push Nappa and Vegeta to their absolute limits, more than once one or both of them collapsed in the Gravity Chamber, completely spent. But they persisted, pushing further and further each day.

The second week you crank the Gravity Chamber higher, the third week even higher. During the fourth week, the chamber is maxed out at 14x New Salda’s (28x Planet Vegeta’s) gravity. They pushed hard continuously, fighting against each other, and against you as a Super Saiyan. By the final day of the fourth week, their powers have exploded upward. Vegeta now reads 64278 on your scouter, and Nappa is up to 59917. Leyas and Sarada however hadn’t been slouching either, reaching 8x New Salda’s gravity. Meloka worked with Ubo, the giant of a man now able to fire off an Energy Wave. There is now one month left until your arrival in the Boran system.

You are awakened the first morning of the last month by Meloka whispering in your ear, “You finally did it.”
Getting up and looking in the mirror, you see what she meant. You’re still a Super Saiyan, even after a night’s sleep. You’re elated by the revelation, finally gaining another measure of mastery over the legendary power of the Super Saiyan.

What will you focus on for the last month?

Actually, i have an idea.
Since we can't really train strength at their level of gravity, especially not as a super saiyan why don't we work on speed instead?

Pure speed, just do nothing but work on getting faster and faster, pushing the limits of how fast we can throw a punch or kick rather than how hard.

>Keep training Vegeta and Nappa

Not just attacking of course, we need to practice flying, running, changing direction and dodging at maximum speed as well.
This will up our evasiveness significantly, and should be a big boon if we use su ma as well.
We'll also be more likely to land melee attacks in general, and it may become possible to parry and counter with more ease.

42, 87. Well then, final month wrapping up here. Writing.
>>
>>2151132
For the last month of training, you focus on getting Sarada and Leyas ready. You won’t have anyone of your crew dying, not if you can stop it. So on the first day of the last month, you treat them the same as you had Vegeta and Nappa, cranking the Gravity Chamber up to 10x New Salda’s. It flattens them as well, both shouting in concern.
“What the fuck Karn?!”
“Why’d you do that?”
“Its time to kick your training up a notch.” you tell them, cracking your knuckles. “Time to get you guys ready for anything.”

And so training goes, the first week Sarada and Leyas struggle to adapt to the intense gravity. During the second and third weeks, you continue to increase the gravity daily, forcing them to push harder and harder. By the final week, you’ve managed to push them to 13x New Salda’s (26x Planet Vegeta’s) gravity. During this last week, you let them adjust to the gravity, focusing on their strength and speed in preparation for both the current and future wars.

During this time you polished your mastery over the first Super Saiyan form as well, not losing that power over the entire last month. Meloka, as a Super Saiyan, kept working with Ubo over the last month, the giant’s ki control much greater than before. Nappa and Vegeta continued their training, managing to reach and adjust to 15x New Salda’s gravity.

As training comes to an end, your team’s strength is now as follows:
Karn- 97901
Meloka-71257
Ubo- 6025915
King Vegeta- 65914
General Nappa- 60008
Leyas- 57982
Sarada- 60135

With time for training now finished, and the planet slowly coming into sight before you, it is time to make a plan.
“So, how should we do this?” Meloka asks you, eying the ship’s scouter display. “Most of what’s down there is focused in two areas, what I’d assume are fortified based. The creatures in both have average powerlevels in the low-to-mid thousands, with a few in the thirty-thousand range.”

“I say we all drop down all over the planet and hit them from all sides.” Sarada says, crossing her arms.
“We should drop down first, take out any anti-air they may have.” Nappa says. “Their weapons could shred Attack Pods without effort.”
“I think we should focus on one first, landing all our forces on that side of the planet and overwhelming that base, then taking the other out.”
“What do you think?” Leyas asks you.

Well?
>Go first yourselves, take out the anti-air of one base

You walk over to the comm unit, mind made up. You broadcast your signal to all the pods, and order them to hold back out of range until you signal. Turning the comm off, you turn to your assembled team, the strongest fighting Saiyans in existance gathered on one vessel, and address them.

“We’re going down there, to this base,” you say, pulling up the cluster of powerlevels on the map, then continue. “And taking out every anti-air weapon they’ve got. Then we can land our troops there and conquer the entire planet. Any questions?”
“What about their anti-air?” Vegeta asks you. “What’s to stop them from shooting us down as well?”
“We will.” you say, gesturing around at everyone gathered. “My ship isn’t going into their atmosphere. We’re jumping down.”
“Daring.” Nappa says, rubbing his chin. “But I like it. Let’s do it.”
”Good hunting, Captain.” the droid pilots say in unison, saluting you as you all head towards to the airlock. You all take a deep breath, then you press the button. All the air is sucked from the airlock, the outer door opening.

“Follow me.” you think to your team, dashing towards the planet and leaving a golden path behind you. Everyone follows, your aura expanding out as you approach the planet. Once everyone is close, you activate your Barrier technique, it taking the entry into the atmosphere instead of your team. Almost before you’re through the atmosphere, blasts of energy rock off of your barrier. The strain of maintaining your barrier is intense, but worth it. As the ground comes into view, you see two large crafts on the ground. Quad-legged mechanical beasts with massive cannons on their backs, firing large blasts of energy towards you. But they aren’t your only threat. Odd-looking fighters fly around in strange maneuvers, firing more but smaller blasts at your barrier.

You won’t be able to hold this much longer, what will you do now?

“Meloka and I’ll handle the tanks, you guys keep those fighters off our backs.” you shout over the noise, everyone nodding at you. “Okay... Break!”

With that you deactivate your barrier, you and Meloka each rushing a seperate tank while everyone else scatters, engaging the dozens upon dozens of enemy fighters. You expand your senses as you descend, sensing the comparatively minuscule ki of the pilots around you, most of them weaker than Chaya. However, their vehicles help close the gap, spouting insane firepower. One of the pilots manages to shoot through your defenses, the blast exploding against you and knocking you off-course. The blast stings a bit, you crashing headlong into the ground a little less. Rising to your feet, you see that the tank has oriented on you, firing a massive beam from the front cannon at you while the turret fires into the air. You cross your arms before you, no time to dodge or form your barrier.

BOOM

The blast hits you square, detonating the area all around you. You remain steadfast, the explosion obliterating your wristguards and scorching your arms. The power behind that machine’s cannon is insane, managing to even scratch you as a Super Saiyan. You shake off the hit, leaping up past the front cannon to the bug-like machine’s top-mounted turret. It tries to fire on you again, but you’re too quick. Utilizing the movements of the Su Ma, you flip and horizontally roll over the blast, coming to a stop above the turret. Gathering power into your fist, You shout out as you charge, Piercing Fist punching straight through the turret’s armor and into heart of the vehicle. A half-dozen squat aliens shout out in terror, their strange voices shouting nearly-incoherently. Before they can stop you, you smash each of the creatures into red paste on the walls, ceiling, and floor, then smash your way further inside the machine, ending up before what looks like an engine. You gather power into your fist, firing an Energy Bomb into the engine and leaping up out and away.

The damage caused by your attack is cataclysmic. The entire tank goes up in a massive fireball, obliterating the machine and its crew. You look around and observe the rest of the battle.

The tank Meloka engaged is laying in a pile, front legs broken and turret destroyed, the machine laying in a smoking pile, her standing on top of it and taking shots at the remaining ships.
Ubo is rampaging through the air, laughing as he fires wave after wave, obliterating the fighters. For some reason Leyas is remaining stationary on the ground, firing up at the remaining ships when they turn towards him to attack. Nappa and Vegeta hover back to back, blasting down ships by the score. Within another minute the fleet has been routed, three ships escaping the carnage to the other grouping of ki you sense.

You dash over to Leyas, concerned. And it’s just as you feared. He’s standing over a battered, bruised and burned Sarada. You reach down to feel for a pulse, and thankfully its there. But its weak, she’s fading quick. Acting quick, you focus your ki for a technique the Guardian had taught you for this kind of situation. You gather your golden ki into the palm of your hand, Leyas grabbing your arm in panic at the sight of you holding an energy blast towards his sister.
“Karn stop, what are you doing?!” he shouts at you.
“Do you want me to save her or not?” you shout, getting a little heated at the delay. Your sudden outburst stops Leyas in his tracks, you turning your attention back to Sarada. You take the golden Super Saiyan ki you gathered, and as you fire it into Sarada’s chest you mind returns to the Guardian’s lesson.

“Different, this ki is.” the Guardian said, sitting on his rock as you stood before him as a Super Saiyan. “Not only stronger, but MORE this is. This ki, special it is.”
“Special how?” you’d asked him, not understanding.
“More than destroy, this golden ki can do.” he’d told you. “Once before, this kind of energy I’ve sensed. Long ago, had similar power, one of my students had. Protect, as well as destroy, this power could.”

Your mind returns to the current situation, your ki enhancing and reinforcing Sarada’s. Her eyes open and she gasps in pain, clutching her chest and gut around the most heavily damaged flesh.

“Sar!” Leyas shouts, snatching Sarada off of the ground.
“Fucking bastard got me.” she gets out through clenched teeth. “Someone call down the ship, I don’t thin...”

Her eyes go wide looking up behind both of you, you both turning around to see a massive ship overhead. You see several cannons pointed down towards the planet’s surface at you and your team.

“Shit! Move!” you shout, grabbing Leyas and tossing him up and away, hopefully clear of the blast and blocking the incoming blast.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOMBOOM

The blasts from the ship’s guns rock the area, doing your best to block the bombardment crashing down upon you. After what feels like an eternity, but more like three minutes of continuous fire, the attack stops. As the smoke clears, you look around, seeing Nappa, Ubo, and Meloka all still on the ground, taking the worst of the bombing. Vegeta is above the ship, engaged again with more of the Covenant’s fighter ships. You can sense that Leyas is flying higher and higher, probably headed back up to your ship. You need to act before that ship fires again.

Nappa appears in rough shape. And while you know you, Meloka, and Ubo can withstand another barrage, Vegeta needs help up there. You think to Meloka, telling her your plan, to which she agrees. You begin gathering energy in your palm again, this time for destruction.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=hLDtlBlSLxA

Meanwhile, Meloka dashes up into the sky, firing off Scatter Beams from each hand, scattering the attacking ships. She grabs Vegeta and they both dash back planetside as you’ve finished charging.

“You can go straight to hell!” you shout, tossing the destructive sphere of ki. The ship is too large to miss, your attack hitting it right in the center. The blast is massive, you shielding your eyes from the intense light as the ship is consumed by the blast. Once the attack is over, you look to the sky, eyes confirming what your senses told you in that they’ve all been obliterated. Your team sans Sarada and Leyas fly over to you as you sigh out and breathe in deep, catching your breath.

“So what now?” Meloka asks you.
“Time to call in the troops.” you say, reaching a hand to your scouter until you realize yours had been obliterated. Everyone’s has been destroyed, except Vegeta’s.
“King Vegeta, its on you.” you say, gesturing to him. He nods and puts a hand to his scouter, activating the comms.

“My people, the landing zone is clear!” he shouts in his commander voice. “Now is the time to begin our attack! Come and unleash your power, and show these creatures the might of the Saiyan race!”

As Vegeta finishes, you sense several powerlevels dropping towards the planet. But you sense something else as well. Several dozens of the Covenant’s grunts approaching again in more of their ships, some along the ground and others in the air.

“You sense it too?” Meloka asks, you nodding.
“Sense what?” Nappa asks, looking between the both of you.
“More soldiers?” Ubo asks, you both nodding.
“We need to protect the LZ.” Vegeta says, taking command. “We need to keep the skies and ground clear, giving our people time to deploy. Who’s covering what?”

“We can all sit back here and defend.” you tell Vegeta, crouching and opening the capsule, planting all 18 of the Saibamen you have.
“Oh, that’s a great idea!” Nappa says, crouching and planting his own as well. You and Nappa pour the green sludge over the planted Saibamen, the creatures springing from the ground and screeching. The 36 Saibamen leap around disorganized, until Nappa shouts them down.

“Listen up!” he bellows, everyone freezing in place at the authority in his voice. Nappa points to where the attackers are coming from and continues, “Over there are your enemies. Go forth and destroy them!”
“SKREEEE!!” they shout, some running and others flying towards the battle.

“That was almost too easy.” Vegeta says, relaxing a bit. “This should buy us som-“

BOOM BOOM BOOM

You all turn to the sound, three distinct explosions rocking where the Saibamen ran off to. You sense that three of the Saibamen have been slain, exploding in death and trying to take as many as they can with them. You also sense the Saiyans approaching swiftly
“Right, no time for distractions.” Vegeta says, focused again. “Karn, Meloka, take to the air and keep them back! Nappa and I will stay down here and hit any that get past you two.”
“Right!” you and Meloka shout, taking to the air.

You and Meloka leap up, getting a first look at the attacking craft. There are two distinct types of Covenant vehicles approaching: large, slow ones with cannon turrets on top, and smaller, faster ones with twin blasters on the front. You and Meloka watch the Saibamen’s attack from up high, enjoying the carnage.

The Saibamen are no match for the Covenant tank weapons, a single blast enough to obliterate a half-dozen at once. However they’re able to tank a few shots from the smaller crafts to get in close and cause massive damage. When they manage to reach the heavier vehicles, they climb under the hovering tanks and self-detonate, severely damaging if not outright-destroying the heavy tanks.

The Saibamen are all destroyed in their assault, however they manage to inflict heavy casualties on the heavier vehicles, only 40ish of them survive the Saibamen’s viscous assault. The rest begin firing at the Saiyan pods dropping down, you and Meloka blocking their attacks as best as you’re able, shooting down blast after blast. But soon you and Meloka are forced onto the defensive, more of their arial craft rushing you both, shooting indiscriminately. You do your best, but several dozen Saiyan pods are obliterated by the tanks’ cannons before Nappa and Vegeta wipe them out. Within two minutes their attack is destroyed, Saiyans leaping from their pods to assist in either attacking the vehicles or blocking more of the blasts.

With the skirmish over, Vegeta assembles the gathered Saiyan Army, and speaks;
“We have arrived on the threshold of our most difficult fight yet! Now, form up into your teams, and move out. Victory will be ours! CHARGE!”

With that, the assembled Saiyan forces charge towards the other group of powerlevels, Power Balls shooting up everywhere around you.

The Covenant themself? Not that bad, but some of their heavier shit could probably put us out of commission if we aren't careful. The Chief however? He's pretty much a slightly toned down Doomguy, so that should tell you how to gauge his level of bullshit. What I fear though is that we may draw the ire of something like the Flood, or other high-tier Bungie villains, because those are things that we really, really, really dont have the capacity to face at this point in time, if ever.

The Saiyan forces will need a bit of time to transform into their Oozaru forms. You nod to Meloka, you both flaring your golden Super Saiyan auras and charging towards the other cluster of powerlevels. Somehow, they detect you before you can see them, energy blasts raining down like mortar shells around you both. However, the attacks are slow-moving, and with yours and Meloka’s enhanced speed, none of the attacks even come close. Soon, you’re within sight of their base, a fortified wall with a singular tower rising above, with an absolutely massive cannon on top. But you can’t handle that quite yet, with the multitude of tanks still raining plasma blasts down around you both from inside the wall. You both split, circling the base in opposite directions and looking for any kind of weak point to attack from. But their defenses seem solid, you’d have to close to grips with the mounted, hovering manned turrets along the walls to attack. This base is a massive fortified position, the outer wall easily two to three miles in diameter. Finishing your evaluation of the defenses, you and Meloka regroup on the far side of the base, leaping up into the air to dodge more blasts.

“No easy way in.” Meloka thinks to you, you both weaving through the mortar-like attacks as the massive gun turns slowly towards you both. “We could stay back and buy a bit more time for everyone else, or punch a hole right through their defenses. What should we do?”

Well?

“Let’s make some noise.” you say, gathering ki into your right fist for an Energy Punch, fist glowing blue.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=xFuIpCt1mik

“Right behind you!” Meloka says, aura flaring. With a shout, you dash first towards the fortified wall, dodging blasts from the wall’s turrets. Shouting again you draw back your energy clad fist and punch the wall, your attack exploding against he reinforced material.

BOOM

Your attack crumbles the wall, chunks of the reinforced material pelting the helpless defenders inside, the terrified Covenant forces spraying the opening you made with their weapons. But you’re no longer there. After your attack destroyed the wall you leapt, backflipping up into the air and charging energy in your left hand.

“DIE!” you shout, firing a sweeping Energy Wave from your hand, destroying the nearby wall-mounted turrets. The tanks then fire upon your midair position, you activating your barrier at the last possible moment. In their fear, at your display, they’d forgotten about Meloka.

As you’d lept into the air, Meloka charges through the opening you’d made, firing off Scatter Beams into the disorganized troops. They stand no chance, Meloka quickly closing the distance as she fires, then activates her Energy Blade and runs wild. From behind your barrier, the tanks still fruitlessly firing at you, you watch Meloka carve through the half-sized defenders, most now openly fleeing from her in terror.

“Stand and fight, you cowards!” a new voice calls out with authority, everyone stopping for a moment and looking up towards the voice.

“Its da boss!”
“Shit, act busy!”
“C’mon, there’s only two of ‘em!”

Whoever this new guy is, he’s strong. Not quite as strong as Ubo, but close. And the effect he’s having on his troops’ morale is obvious, turning a rout back into a battle. The blue-armored creature leaps from the tower directly at you, grabbing a device off of his belt and activating it.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=oSmLfHBBCew

Dual energy blades spring from the device, the Covenant’s leader diving at you point-first. You maintain your barrier, thinking it would block the attack. You were wrong. You were very wrong, and it nearly cost you your life. The creature’s blades pierce through your barrier with ease, aimed directly for your eyes. Twisting your whole body at the last second, you dodge the blades, one still scoring a shallow cut across your cheek as you drop the barrier and twist away, the commander coming to a stop a few feet away and turning back to you to charge again. You hear the roar of the Oozaru as well, seems your allies have finally made it to the battlefield! But you have more important concerns, like surviving the next several seconds.

What will you do?

“He’s strong, but a bit slow.” you think to yourself, activating your Energy Blade and squaring up to the creature. It adopts a more defensive stance upon seeing you also have a blade, recognizing the potential danger. You both stare at each other, waiting to see who makes the first move. With a roar the Saiyans arrive, you sense it’s Vegeta’s Oozaru form leading the charge and smashing through the wall. This distracts the alien for a moment, it glancing to the sound and giving you the opening you need.

Dashing forward as fast as possible, you lead in with a horizontal chop for the head, planning to end this fight in the first move. It catches your movement in it’s peripheral vision, lifting its own blade and blocking your strike. Undeterred, you flow into the movements of the Su Ma, twisting and flipping up over the creature and swinging down at its head. It blocks again, barely, you continuing the motion and flipping completely over, kicking the beast in the back of the head and knocking it off-balance, following up with a lunge for its chest. It deflects your strike to the side, you spinning around the alien and striking it from the other side. It blocks again and again, you both continuing to clash for several dozen seconds before splitting apart and coming to a stop a dozen feet apart in the air, blades still up.

“Not bad.” you say, slightly panting. It managed to block or almost evade every strike, its armor taking a few hits but nothing decisive.
“Impressive.” the creature pants out, clearly wearing down. “I’ve never seen a non-Sangheili handle a blade with such profeciency before. What is your name and species, warrior?”
“Karn.” you reply, keeping on-guard. “A Saiyan. I’ve gotta admit, you're the first worthwhile warrior I've met on this planet. Tell me, are there any more like you, Sangheili, or are you the best this Covenant has to offer?"
“Sangheili is the name of our proud species.” it says, pride dripping from its voice. “I’m only a third-rate warrior amongst my own people, but I am more than enough to lead this incompetent rabble. Now, enough talk!”

With that it brings its blade forward, while drawing a different, c-curved metallic device from its belt into its left hand and charging you.

What do you do?

Plan formed, you again rush at the creature, keeping it on the defensive as you gather power. Avoiding the Su Ma, as it requires your full attention, you focus on powerful strikes, the Sangheili blocking your strikes with ease, an odd green glow forming around its left-hand weapon. You hope your charging is faster, bringing your blade down hard in a vertical chop, which he blocks. As you pull your blade back, however, a quick jab and twist locks your blades together between you. It looks at you confused as you begin to open your mouth, but then it grins smugly, deactivating its blade and ducking, your blast going clear over it.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=0m5ENDesBsw

Suddenly an intense pain rips through your guts, looking down you see the creature had fired its other weapon, the blast tearing straight through your armor and into your guts. You chench your hands over the gaping hole, trying in vain to gather the power to fight back. Speaking is hopeless, merely coughing up blood. Your strengthh flows from your body, you dropping from the sky like a rock.

“KAARN!!” you hear someone far away shout, far, far... awa...
You feel blackness creeping over you, promising sleep, an end to this pain if you just close your eyes and accept it.

“No, not yet.” you think to yourself, clenching your teeth. You’re not done yet! You do your best, but can’t slow your fall, crashing hard into the ground and coughing up more blood on impact. Looking up into the sky, you see the Covenant’s defenses obliterating tje Power Balls, Oozaru reverting back into regular Saiyans.

“Oh kais, please let Karn be okay.” Meloka says as she lands beside you, feeling for your pulse. When she feels it she quickly gathers her energy, pumping her golden ki into you. “Dammit Karn, don’t you dare die on me! Don’t leave me alone, not again!”
“Again?” you think to yourself, but your thoughts are interrupted.

“NO HURT FRIEND!!” Ubo shouts, firing a colossal wave of energy up at the Sangheili. It activates a device on its belt, a barrier similar to yours appears, tanking the blast. Ubo roars, leaping up at the one who hurt his friend and swings wildly. The alien dodges the attack, slicing Ubo’s back open with his blade then kicking the giant back to the ground.

“Is there no one else!” it shouts down, everyone frozen at the display. “Is there no one else willing to fight me?!”
Meloka lifts you off the ground, your arm over her shoulder and the other clutching your gut in pain as you cough again.
“Come on Karn, Leyas is bringing the ship down back over there, we’re gonna get you in the Healing Pod. Please, stay with me dammit!”

The other Saiyans stare up at the Sangheili in awe, too afraid to move. All except for one. You sense his power beginning to spike, a familiar tingle to his ki. The ground begins shaking as the sky starts darkening, everyone looking around in confusion.

You all feel the ground shaking intensify, lightning striking from the clouds near the Saiyan King, scattering those around him. Everyone turns and looks to him, some in terror, some in curiosity, some in awe. You chuckle to yourself, coughing up a bit more blood.
“Do it... Ve...ge...ta.”
“N-No way.” Meloka says, temporarily distracted. “Is he...?”

“I’ll kill you! RRRAAAAAAAAA!!!” Vegeta shouts, golden light suddenly exploding from the prince. The ground explodes around the prince, rocks flying everywhere as the light bursts forth overwhelmingly, stinging your eyes even through shut eyelids. Meloka remembers what she was doing, lifting you off the ground and flying towards where your ship will be touching down, yet you cannot take your eyes off of the young king. He stands alone, defiantly staring up at the Sangheili from the massive crater his aura made.

“Worthless!” it shouts, activating its barrier again. Vegeta’s massive golden beam pushes against the barrier, the king putting everything he has into this attack. The Sangheili’s barrier struggles against the Final Flash, until you hear an audible crack

“I-Impossible!” the alien shouts as his barrier shatters, the golden beam ov energy consuming the warrior and travelling off into space.

“You did me proud, Vegeta.” you think to the young prince, as darkness takes you.

“Cutting it rather close, aren’t we?”

“Princess Towa.” you say, turning and bowing respectfully to the demon princess. “It is good to see you.”
“Don’t play polite with me, Saiyan!” Towa snaps at you, temper flaring. “You were nearly killed back there! What the hell were you thinking?”
“I made a mistake-“ you start, getting interrupted.
“A mistake?!” she shouts, incredulous. “You nearly DIED! All I’ve invested in you would have been wasted, because you “made a mistake”!”

She takes a moment, rubbing her temples and sighing out, then facing you again.
“Well, it wasn’t a complete fiasco.” she finally says, sounding much more composed. “At least you got much stronger for it, and Vegeta finally transformed as well. But, from now on, do be more careful. The Covenant Elites aren’t like most of your opponents, they come from a highly warlike society, just like yours. They’ve built their strength on the backs of hundreds of conquered species, they’ve been conquering worlds since before Saiyans landed on Planet Vegeta. They’ve turned war into an art form, not many in the universe can match even their weakest fighters. Keep this in mind, Karn. They’re crafty, dangerous opponents.”

The darkness begins cracking around the both of you, light seeping in.
“Damn, already?” Towa says, exasperated. “Be ready, Karn. Soon I’ll have a mission for you, and failure will not be an option.”

And you’re awake.

Looking around, you see that you’re in the Healing Pod. Your hands go down to your gut, feeling relieved at the feeling of flesh and not a gaping hole. Closing your eyes, you sense outward, sensing for who’s around you. Meloka is closest, curled up sleeping in a ball at the foot of your pod. Sarada is surprisingly not in the pod beside you, Ubo taking that place instead. Sarada and Leyas are in their room, unmoving. Asleep as well, then. Focusing your awareness out further, you sense the rest of the Saiyans a distance away, hard to pick out individual ki from this distance.

Opening your eyes, you grab and pull the release switch inside the pod, the fluid draining down and out of the pod. Within a minute the pod finally opens, you squatting down and lifting your sleeping Meloka into your arms, who turns a bit in your arms before waking groggily.

“Mhmm awaa.” she mumbles out, stretching out. Her eyes then snap open, looking up at you concerned. “Karn?”
“The floor’s no place to sleep.” you say, smiling down at her. The small Saiyan woman tears up, burying her face in your chest and wrapping her arms around you as far as they go.

“Dammit, don’t you worry me like that again!” she gets out between sobs, you feeling your ribs groan from the strength of her hug. You flash up to Super Saiyan as well, to prevent your ribcage from being crushed. Meloka, however, is too busy crying into your chest to notice. You both remain like that for awhile, you dripping wet and Meloka clinging to you like her life depends on it. Finally, she releases you, giving you the room you need to get dressed, putting on a new scouter as well.

Meloka again leaps at you, this time onto your back, arms around your shoulders and legs around your middle. You chuckle at her, patting her head and walking out of the ship to check on the aftermath of the battle. As you walk outside, you begin to sense hundreds of ki signatures appearing above you. Looking up, your blood turns cold and Meloka gasps: a massive covenant warship has just entered the atmosphere above you, headed straight for the fortress.

Everyone enjoying the carnage so far? Glad to be back in the action, and enjoying the higher-risk fighting of the new campaign? Wondering what Towa’s mission will be? Everyone else enjoy Vegeta finally taking that step, and showing his true strength? I’ll be around for a few hours, archiving and editing the pastebin, as well as answering questions. And the most important question: did you all have fun?

Can't exactly rig /qst/ dice to keep getting us 80+es, you know. Towa's just bitching because she doesn't know Karn is controlled directly by random anonymous nobodies.
Speaking of that, how would Towa even react if she ever found out in-story somehow? is it even something knowable in the story, or is that too fucking meta for a DBquest?

So, what kind of new body do you lads reckon that Ginyu's going to show up in? Sangheili, Jiralhanae, or (somehow) a Lekgolo form?

Also friendly reminder that Ginyu is capable of switching the bodies of his teammates for superior ones as well, if he sets things up correctly.
>>
>>2157639

sangheili, obviously, who wats to be abrute?
>>
>>2157645
They're definitely not pretty to look at. But they're naturally (physically) stronger than the Sangheili by a significant margin. In close combat, they're deadly as fuck (lorewise, at least)
Dudes sometimes even rip hunters apart
>>
It is a little funny to me. Power creep is inherent in this genre. To not adhere to that is to almost miss the spirit of everything after Z. Still it is hilarious to call the saiyans a warrior race when the average power level of our race was like 5,000 before the planet origionally blew up. In this version the saiyans would be known as those little shits who picked on the tuffles and messed around a long time before one got good. It's just funny though not ruining my enjoyment or anything. Thanks for running.
>>
>>2156789
What I mean is, as far as weapon-wise it is different. Getting their very own Energy Blade(here in this quest) is their rite of passage, their finally becoming a man ready to fight and die as an honorable Sangheili warrior. Until you earn your blade, you’re essentially a non-person.
>>2157150
Kek. You don’t understand the shit she’s had to put up with this week to get that outburst. You almost-dying while she was handling other urgent business really pushed her over the edge. Stupid Time Patrollers and their stupid newest recruit.
>>2157184
He shall hear of your kind soon enough, especially the golden one(s).
>>2157639
Ginyu could take different bodies for his teammates, sure. However most would refuse on principle, others on their abilities being dependent on themselves being mutants. As far as the man himself, so far he hasn’t seen anything particularly strong. Right now the Ginyus and Freeza are sitting back and observing, watching his regular soldiers fighting Covenant Grunts.
>>
>>2157672
>You almost-dying while she was handling other urgent business really pushed her over the edge.
But we didn't die. So she screamed at us for nothing.
>>
>>2157671
I dunno, maybe the arrival of the legendary super saiyan spurred folks on to actually get stronger.

The average saiyan powerlevel might be higher now, who knows.
>>
>>2157671
Also, do notice how it was ONLY Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz who claimed any such thing. Others often laughed off those claims.
>>2157684
Its a “goddammit can nothing go right today?!” moment.
>>2157686
A few. Vegeta especially, he still wishes to be better than you.
>The average saiyan powerlevel might be higher now, who knows.
Saiyans realized their powerlevels weren’t near as static as previously thought, thanks to your progress over a few years, and then their new homeworld has doubled gravity compared to the last one, which Saiyans especially can adapt to and grow stronger.
>>
>>2157700
>Its a “goddammit can nothing go right today?!” moment.

What the fuck, that's too sad, man.
>>
>>2157927
Fuck, no wonder she wants to basically destroy the universe by merging the overworld with the demon realm.
Evil people are evil for a reason, whether it's a mental issue or a social one. She's like this for a reason.
Reading through her wiki, they say she's a sadist, and wanted to create a "garden full of rage and pain" by merging the realms.

I dunno, i think she could have a good time just hanging out with Karn and pals, if that's all she wants.
she was so lonely that she created a male companion for herself and married him. Literally a husbando. She needs a friend even more than frieza did, and karn is literally exactly the kind of friend she could get along and hang out with

>>
>We're entering into the huge ass Zenkai boosts of Namek Saga Levels.
>We'll more than likely reach 200k by the end of this invasion.

Honestly, we just need two things at this point.
1. Reaching 500k
2. Learning to stack Oozaru and SSJ1 for that x500 boost.
>>
>>2159159
Reaching 500k? Why is that particular number your goal?
Golden Oozaru is much more than stacking the two abilities multipliers on top of each other. The boost from that form is explosive, 1000x your base form.
>>
>>2159238
Because at 500k we officially become as strong as five Ginyus.

>>
>>2160249
By his second death I meant Xenoverse 2 ending. Mira got mad with powering up and gone mad. Then he absorbed Towa and got Killed by Goku like a true Dragon ball Villian. With a KameHameHa. There is no Towa to ressurect him now.
>>
>>2159833
If you don't defeat demigras in time, SSJ3 goku physically comes in to help you, and you perform a dual kamehameha with him.
If you're good enough to defeat demigras in time and without taking too much damage, you'll get a special ending and overpower him on your own.
>>
>>2160261
I'm pretty sure she has connections to keep her body in the afterlife as a Demon Lord.
Besides, Towa doesn't have her Demon God form yet in Xenoverse and in Heroes Towa and Mira fuse and defuse fairly regularly to push Mira into Super Mira. Generally after Towa gets her ass kicked by something, at least those Sagas happen after Xenoverse 2.
