Before the SSTO dropship is ready to your quick insertion, Commander Chad strides back and forth, staring you all in or out of suit. "Alright pilots! We got a simple job for all of you today. And like most missions it's up to you to complete it alone." He clears his throat to project his voice. "Lately we have been pushing into china. And sometimes TA pushes back. You lot are going into a recently TA reclaimed area of china to either bug or steal a Reddit comms server, with the side objective of blowing up their barracks to make it look like the comms area wasn't the main target. I say steal or bug because I know with pilots you never know if there will be explosions or not." He then points to the spots on the shown map...... "Red is the objective area, Yellow is the nearby power plant that has shown reused activity, and the blue area is the river which is off limits. TA still have superforts in the area, so be careful of even being near that crud filled water."

The slide changes to show the map colors after he speaks. The maintenance team for the dropship gives chad a thumbs up and he clears his throat again. "Alright! You lot are being halo dropped near the target area with disposable landing thrusters! Stay calm, kill some TA, and complete the mission... Also don't fire on the damn power station. No telling what they use for power. BRIEFING DISMISSED!"

The flight over is rather easy, with space cleared and somewhat controlled, it's easy for near orbit craft to fly miles above the earth and drop near the target area.
As you drop, the heat from the slight reentry triggers slow deburn bursts from the thurster packs put onto you by the maintenance team.
Everything turns well until the ground grows bigger and bigger, until when you think you are about to hit, the thursters kick in and do a suicide burn. As you start to slow down, some carpet missiles try to hit from your drop location to the city itself, some only getting close before the rest are shot down, some metalstorm rounds whizzing by you before you land.

As you all talk and get ready. Turtle moves forwards. A few twigs and branches breaking under his feet. However nobody is around as he moves, but that isn't the case as he enters and then breaks tree cover to the refinery's limits. The 6 foot walls betraying the seeable tops of the heavies patrolling the walls. Some having large jetpacks on.
Most TA have a style to them, most of them being non-human in nature, but these are all brown and purple, looking like humans in armor.

As easily as breathing, Ivan willed the AI computer systems and motor servo's to open the Organ pods, their payload carrying the precious chemicals the best Pheonix Corporation wealth could afford. Packages loaded with a mixture of White Phospohorous, Napalm, and Thermite, all intended to cause massive incendiary conflagrations.

Months had passed since the beginning of the war. Whole cities and armies Ivan had helped to burn, and still obliterating the TA was a joy.

The Reddit might have still been human, and had free will, but they were traitors to our species. All the better, the TA knew no fear.

But the Reddit were still human, and they knew fear. Ivan would show them.

Ivan's fingers met the keyboard, and from his fortress blared a musical cacophony of incendiary rockets, ready to unleash the fires of hell in a flurry of airbursts, as the Organs played.

As your hawkeye slides lenses into place, you notice all you can see from your position is trees, a small storage area around you that looks disused, and a road ahead of you that ends in a 4 way with a metal gate ahead.

As the rocket pods fired as like music, the payloads screamed into the air. And not a second later the base started screaming as well with return fire on the rockets. However at the closer range, many rockets where getting by to hit their target, and the base is raving. Turtle can see the heavy gunners firing into the air or "trying" to move to avoid damage, but some get caught in additional explosions as refinery tanks get hit. The heavy flies go up into the air as the gates open to show lights funneling out into the road. The others pilots seeing both coming into view, and they look rather old, yet new....

With the massive explosions hiding any noise you make, you don't have any issues up until you see the gate starting to pour out TA. So you hope over the wall to get in.
You are now in the train yard and are near some heavies firing into the air to try and counter the rockets flying into the deeper parts of the refinery onto the barracks. You can see the comm tower and radio station ahead of you.

As you settle down and fire, the ground cracks under you. Intersect, turtle, and the sensor sat in space above you can see the explosion that you and ivan bring down onto the barracks area. Creating a minor mushroom cloud of smoke. However that brings your own share of suits towards you. A squad of lights and twice as many fliers comprising the forces coming at you both.
You notice however that one of your missile pods is reporting a jam. The missile refused to fire it's thrusters.

As the plasma and rail rounds burn past you from lights and heavies respectably, a lot connect and dig into your armor, dealing 4 points of damage as your shield blocks some the plasma. When you fire back you hit harder back on some of the lights. Taking out one of them out of the two firing at you. You and ivan notice the forces trying to go after ivan are starting to move on you however.

As you run past the lights who try to turn and fire on you, but fail, you reach the gate. You could actually jump over, but it's easier to walk though it when it's open. The 3 heavies in the area acting as AA stop firing as the missiles stop coming, but see you and fire on you, joined by the other 3 moving towards you!

As you sink deep into the area, you move past the fire fight to right next to the comm building for the area. It's the old administration building for the refinery, so it's rather big, but you see where the wires follow from the comm tower right next to the building into a human sized door.You hug the wall however as a medium suit emerges from it and turns away from you towards the fire fight. Holding a weapon that is as big as it is.......

Getting damaged forces Ivan to play by the rules book once more, as the Lights with flight speed were more than able to close even the range gap of artillery.

Fire and Maneuver, Ivan would scurry away somewhere else, and then burst from the ground to blast at the Lights in the air with yet another Salvo of rockets! Before trying to get back into his hole. It wouldn't allow siege mode, but it was the trademark method of the original Katyusha rocket trucks.

Everything slows down to a crawl as the suit breaches the perimeter of the refinery. The pilot bares his teeth as his eyes rapidly flit between the numerous targets surrounding him. Good; he can fly in any direction and hit something now. As he triggers the berserker nanites in his blood, he takes a moment to consign another small part of himself to the fury. Any fear he felt rising in his chest was replaced by a rush of heat and an aching need to shred into something with his chainswords.
His odds didn't matter any more; it was time to rip and tear, until it was done.

From overhead there comes the mighty crack of a sonicboom as a massive and bulky heavy suit plummets like a rocket propelled shipping container directly down toward the battlefield.

A few kilometres from the surface the suit fires retros, violently arresting its descent as, simultaneously, its weapon pods flip open and let loose.

Moving though digging provides a lot of cover, and firing on the lights and the flying heavies is important. You blast at the light digging at your hole, and turn the two that where there into blown apart scrap. And make a heavy barely dodge some rockets minus a missile. This causes the heavies to turn back onto you as you dig back underground!

As you fire into the back of the medium, much breaks past it's armor into soft suity bits. As it turns around you finally identify what it's carrying, and you notice it's an EBA! The barrel charging up it's ion beam pathway as it finishes turning towards you!

As you block some fire aimed at you, you manage to dodge the fire that would break past your shields. However your foes are almost as lucky. As you swing into two nearby heavies, your gators teeth eat some debris into the engine, and shut down, turning into fancy vibro swords without abilities (Reload to fix.) The two heavies has marks in them and they look angry.

Dodging and fighting, the rage you put yourself in let you open for a few hits, one being a shot directly into your face plate, but even then you manage to block some of the damage, leaving you to smack into the heavies near you as you jump between them. Actually marring both of them badly past their now hardening shells.

Airpower was the death of Artillery. And this one was overwhelming.

Ivan is forced to slink away underground and consider a different strategy. He was badly damaged, the hull only at 33% capacity. He needed repairs, soon.

He considered using the Fortresses Carrier ability, find some scrap metal or a car, and try to put together a mechanist drone. With so many PC augments geared for Combat, the computer might not take any sort of tech action. . .but he needed to try.

As you see the glow charge you where already turning and burning your thusters, however when you heard the grinding and then crunches behind you it was too late to look back as your point barrier smacks into you and sends you skyrocketing into the air. A massive explosion takes the place of the comm building and leaves a massive crater the size of half the base in the ground....

However....

The ground shakes as something rises from the river, or really parts the river as a massive superfort the size of 10 football fields rises from it, drawing a massive shadow across the base. Roaring a massive beam of light from it's mouth it turns to the base, scorching and blasting many of the few parts of the base not destroyed.

Tearing into the heavy that was hardened, your metal cover gets splattered with the gore of the suit, your moving shields blocking the little damage you didn't doge. It stops moving a little before the massive explosion that sent you reeling, but it flying into a heap.

With the lights and heavies already littering the ground, you can grab what you need without much worry. The suits above you trying to grab pot shots, but failing.

As you fire with abandon with the lack of issue from your armor, you enjoy the glee of the rapid fire of your weapons until you hear a click, as your weapon empty and need to be reloaded. The heavy you fired at drops, a intact rocket in it's faceplate that lasts a second before exploding, taking the head with it. You almost take out the second when you see the explosion that sends you flying for a moment, regaining control when you see the roar of the superfort coming at you!

The spinning teeth of Intersect Thunderbolt's chainblades come to a halt inside the wreckage of the downed enemy heavy. The pilot takes a moment to catch his breath and regards the other red-armored mercenary next to him.
"Maraduer; thanks for the assist. You took my kill, though." Gav stats to laugh before a massive explosion rocks the both of them. The suit ducks, raising both its shields over its head as the shockwave washes over it.

You manage to dodge the beam, and manage to distance from the beast as it rampages around it, sending it beam all over the area around it, but not focusing on a target. The TA around it seem confused and not sure what to do but to run. As the TA disengage, the question is what to do.

You try and dodge, but barely fail, but what scares you is that even you massive hardened armor cannot stop the beam from damaging you.
