Oh shit, we live! Let's go!

September 13th, 1988

You wake up at around 8 AM, 1 hour before the boat was supposed to arrive in India, at least according to Joseph.

After heading out of your room and eating your breakfast, you see Jotaro staring into the sea as he usually likes to do.

Noticing that you were awake, he turns around to greet you.

"Morning. Thanks for helping me out with my stand these past few days. I didnt get a chance to fight against enemy users before the fight with Rubber Soul, the Temperance stand user. So it was nice to finally get up to speed with you and the others."

Since he only used Star Platinum to take out flesh buds from Kakyoin and Polnareff, making him learn the basics of stand fighting was something that he probably appreciates. Even more so now that he experienced how Dio's allies mean business first hand.

>Anytime, Jotaro.

>Did you have any problems during our training?

>I can't wait to see you beat the next enemy stand users.

>How did your fight with Rubber Soul go, anyway?

"Anytime, Jotaro." You smile to your friend. "Maybe next time I'll be the one to learn something and kick your butt instead!"

"Sure you will." Jotaro chuckles at your comment, he seems to be in a really good mood today.

Speaking about butt kicking, there's something you have yet to ask him since you two started training.

"How did your fight with Rubber Soul go, anyway?"

"He disguised himself as Kakyoin with his stand to led me to an unpopulated place. I already noticed Kakyoin was acting a bit weird before, but a stand that was able to alter a person's appearance so easily didnt cross my mind at the time. His stand was similar to your in the way it can absorb whatever it pleases, but it worked by digestig things inside his stand to make it grow stronger."

That sounds pretty tough, you're not really sure if you could win against a stand like this one if he could digest whatever you planned to absorb, how did Jotaro get rid of him then?

"It wasn't easy, since his stand was more of a blob rather than a humanoid entity, i couldnt really damage it properly, which only led him to spread his stand around me, thankfully he was too confident on cornering me, so he wasnt really focused on defending himself, so i managed to push him into the water and give him a good beating there. That's when i interrogated him about the next enemy stand users. He tried pulling off a sneak attack but it only led to him getting losing a few more teeth."

Yikes. You could tell Jotaro was holding some strength back when he pulled his punches against your stand, but you didnt know Star Platinum could casually break a few teeth like that. It just goes to show that you're not supposed to piss him off...

>What exactly did he say to you?

>Do you think you'd be able to beat him more easily now?

"What exactly did he say to you?" You ask Jotaro.

"The next stand users are going to be Death, The Emperor, The Empress and The Hanged Man, the man with two right hands. J. Geil's stand apparently has something to do with mirrors, and Rubber Soul apparently thinks Polnareff doesnt stand a chance."

Mirrors? How would that even work?

"I had a word with Polnareff about it yesterday, and while i convinced him that wandering off on his own would be a stupid idea that'd get him killed, he still thinks he should be the one to take care of J.Geil due to his grudge against him."

>Can you blame him, though?

"Do you think he still might try out something stupid? Not that I'm one to be saying anything about doing stupid things..." You apprehensivly correct yourself say with a regretful tone to Jotaro.

You've caused a plane crash and angried Polnareff after he offered helping you out. Surely you're not one to badmouth him...

"Hey. It's no use blaming yourself over what already happened, the best you can do right now is admit your mistakes and try to avoid them in the future." Jotaro interrupts your train of thought.

How considerate of him. It was like he was reading your mind just by noticing you frown in silence.

"As for Polnareff, i'm not sure myself, he appears to be the type of guy that acts before thinking, so i'd take some really good arguments to get through his thick skull."

True. Even though Polnareff admitted to enjoying his time with you and the others, he still probably puts his sister's revenge above us in terms of priorities. Maybe you'll be able to convince him to stick with you when the time comes around...

"That reminds me." Jotaro interrupts your thoughts once again. "The old man said he wanted to have a word with you. He mentioned something about being curious about your Hamon abilities."

You wave goodbye to your classmate Jotaro and go look for his grandfather. After you took some distance from him, placed an unlit cigarrette in his mouth and moved it around with his lips, trying to lift it up.

Weird. Is he trying to do a trick? Whatever, better look for Mr Joestar.

You're not really sure on what he wants to talk about, given how your two days of Hamon training consisted of nothing but breathing in silence for a few hours, but you still go look for him nontheless.

After some time, you see him exiting out of the pilothouse with an audible sigh.

"Oh, good morning Hitomi!" He speaks with a happier tone after noticing you approaching him.

"Good morning, Mr Joestar, is something wrong?" You ask your fellow Hamon user.

"Not really, i just had a talk with my wife Suzi over the phone. I told her about Holly's condition, and she didnt react well about it, that's all." Joseph says non-chalantly, as if trying to say his daughter's condition isnt really a big deal.

It's pretty obvious he's just putting up a front, so you'll let it slide for now.

"But now that you're here, i'd like to ask you something about your Hamon training." He picks up the conversation. "At first i thought you just had a strong case of begginer's luck like me, but even i inherited my Hamon abilities from my grandfather Jonathan and my mother Lisa Lisa, so that made me confused for a while."

To be completely honest, you're somewhat curious at how easy you pulled of your Hamon tricks too. It only took you a few days of breathing to do more convoluted techniques, and that was without going through the hard training Joseph went to.

"Hitomi, is there any chance you were related to a Hamon user too?"

"I'd have to call my parents to know that for sure." You inform Joseph. Considering your father works an office job and your mother is a regular P.E. teacher, you doubt any of them have any supernatural abilities.

"Feel free to use the phone in the pilothouse, then. I'm pretty curious to know the answer!" Joseph says, leading you inside.

After some trial and error and a feel minutes of waiting. You finally disk the number of your phone's house and wait until someone picks up the phone.

"Hello?" A gravely voice comes out from the other side of the line.

You'd recognize that voice anywhere. It's your dad.

Alright, how should you start this conversation?

"Hey dad."

A quick gasp comes from the speaker.

"Hitomi, is that you? Why didnt you call us sooner? Your mother was pretty worried these last few days. Is everything alright there on Egypt?"

"I'm glad to hear that! I'd like to have a word with Joseph after you're done talking, then. He deserves at least a good 'thank you' after treating my daughter to a trip like this. But be sure to call more often, missy! you cant just leave us hanging like that."

"I know, sorry for worrying you two..."

After a few more questions about how well you were doing in terms of money and what you ate, you change the subject to what you and Mr Joestar wanted to ask.

"Dad,would you happen to know any 'martial artists' in our family?"

The confusion in his voice is exactly what you expected.

"Sorry Hitomi. My family was never really worked with fitness, that's more of your mother's thing. Hell, i only lost my weight after i started dating her. I know her mother won the gold medal for marathon swimming at the Olympic games in 1956, but aside from that i dont really know about her side of the family."

"Thanks dad, do you know her name?" You ask your father, hoping to find some more information about your family's roots.

"I dont remember her full name, but Chiyoko was a really nice lady. It's pretty impressive to earn a gold medal at the age of 56 too."

OK, now you're curious.

"Is mom home? Maybe she knows more about it."

After some time, your mother answers the phone and has some smalltalk with you before answering your question.

"Oh, it's a shame you never got to meet granny Chiyoko before she passed away, you would have gotten along with her. I'd probably wouldnt be in this job career if it wasnt for her, i wanna looks as good as she and dad looked when i reach my 60's!"

"What was her full name?" You ask your mother, barely able to control your curiosity.

"Chiyoko Messina."

Messina? You dont think you've ever heard that name before...

"Yeah, i was a Messina for the longest time too until i've met your father. It sounds weird since to have both a japanese name and a foreign name, but ever since she married the martial artist she practiced with, she had to change her last name to his."

Martial artist? That's exactly the lead you were looking for...

"Dad never really talked much about his job, he just said he worked in Italy as a bodyguard before he started traveling aboard looking for a "worthy apprentice" He eventually found my mother and well, the rest is history!"

Interesting, but when exactly did they pass away?

"Mother Chiyoko a few years after she earned her medal, when we thought she was in her hospital bed, Messina came to visit her. That day was the weirdest day of my life..."

You can hear some light sobbing from the other side of the phone.

"Mother was cured from her condition, but for some reason we found dad's body laying lifelessly to her side... Thankfully she never had any other health problems, but she died a few years after you were born."

>What? How did she get cured like that?

You comfort your mother over the phone. Knowing how sensitive she is, you inform her that you're glad she managed to answer that for you, even if it was something that she didnt like remembering.

"Thank you sweetie. I dont know what i did to deserve a kind hearted daughter like you." She hushes down her sobbing to compliment your attitude.

After saying goodbye to your mother, Joseph has a word with your parents to ensure you of your well being and eventually hangs up on them.

"So, how did it go?" Joseph asks you, prompting you to explain your family's origin and the martial artist in your family, he seemed to be paying complete attention unti you mentioned the name Messina to him.

"Oh my god! Messina was your grandfather? It really is a small world afterall... i can't believe the old guy started a family after all of that." Joseph responds in shock.

So he knows him?

"Of course! He was one of the Hamon masters i trained with back in the day. Well, my friend Caesar trained with him, my teacher Loggins was a real pain in the ass... But it makes a lot of sense now that we know where your Hamon talent came from."

It really does, maybe that Hamon potential was inherited from your family the same way Joseph inhereted his Hamon from his grandfather. You're not really sure if your mother has any Hamon potential in her, but her fitness habit probably has something to do with passing the torch down to you.

"Did Messina get to fight a pillar men too?" You ask him, curious about how strong of a fighter your grandpa was.

"Yes actually. Caesar decided to go fight a pillar men without us, so Messina stuck with him just in case things went south. When we arrived there, Messina was lying unconscious without his arm, and Caesar..."

Joseph scratches his beard, thinking on how to word his sentence properly.

"There wanst much left of Caesar when we found him... Luckily we managed to get your Grandpa out of battle grounds safe and sound. I lost contact with him shortly after i moved with my mother after she retired from Hamon training and moved to Hollywood with her new husband, but i didnt think the guy would be so noble to give all of his Hamon to cure his wife. He was truly a Hamon master at heart!"

"If he was such a Hamon master, does that mean i'll have to train you again too?" You say with a smug smile, attempting to tease Joseph.

"Not in a million years." Joseph laughs out loud. "If training with you was as hard as it was with your Grandpa, i'd run away on the spot."

Looking over to the window, you start to see the shore. It seems you have finally reached Calcutta.

You leave the pilothouse with Joseph and head to the deck where everyone is waiting for the boat to dock.

What do you think about finally reaching Calcutta?

Avdol said this was a pretty cool place right? There's probably no need to worry about stand users as long as you manage to enjoy your stay.

You cant really say the same about the others though, they look a bit uneasy.

"Well, i'm a little bit worried. My image of India is a palace people only eat curry ang get ill all the time." Joseph gives his two cents about India.

"I'm worried that i may not be able to handle the culture shock." Polnareff admits.

"That's a rather distorted assessment. India is a nice country, where plenty of nice things to see. I guarantee." Avdol eases the group's worries.

"Well, if you say so..." Kakyoin takes his words with a grain of salt.

"Also Hitomi. We dont really want anyone giving you weird looks. So i thought i could give you something more fitting to wear from now on." Avdol points out, handing you a piece of cloth.

After unfolding it, you see a red dress, similar to the one Avdol wears, only with a few more colors sprinkled out to cover the rest of your body.

"That's a sari, a typical indian garment. I wish i could give you a better one but that's the only one i have right now, maybe we can buy another one after lunch."

"Thanks Avdol. it's really pretty, but what's wrong with wearing my usual clothes?"

"Well, they consider it rude for women to not wear their usual attire around these parts, so it's something i thought you should get used to in order to avoid any inconveniences." Avdol explains.

Only women? So you'll have to play dress up in every place you travel to but they all get to wear the same thing? Great...

After quickly changing your clothes back on the boat, you walk out the door to see Jotaro and the others get pestered by a crowd of locals, which flockered around them in a matter of seconds.

"Hey, give me a tip! You won't go to heaven if you don't give me a tip, mister!"

"Let me carry that for you!"

"You want a tattoo? You're too pretty not not have one!"

"Do you need some anti-venom? It does wonders for your stomach!"

Between the crowd's shoutings and your group's complaints, you seem to have noticed the indians havent really flocked to you like they did with the rest. Wether it's your clothing or the fact that you've arrived a few minutes later than them, you seem to have completely hidden yourself into the crowd.

You're just glad you decided to wear this dress when you did. It definetly saved you a lot of trouble.

"Avdol, is this really India?" Joseph says, confused after seeing that the place didnt exactly meet the expectations Avdol made it out to be.

"Yes. Great place, isnt it?" Avdol says while laughing in excitement. "It's exactly what makes this country so wonderful!"

You have some trouble catching up with the group while they're surrounded by so many people, but eventually you managed to find a good restaurant to enter and finally have some more time to yourself.

You sit down on a table and relax, this dress gets really hot! How do women walk around in this thing so easily here?

Now that everyone's here, maybe it'd be a good time to strike up a conversation.

"So how far are we from Cairo?" You ask the group.

"Around 5.700 Kilometers away" Kakyoin points out.

Well, that didnt really help much...

"Alright, but where are we going to next?"

"After exiting out of India, we'll continue our route to Pakistan. After that we'll go through Saudi Arabia and cross the Red Sea, which will place us directly on Egypt." Joseph points out.

While traveling on land seems good after 5 days in the sea, you're still worried about stands users that might be nearby.

"Any signs of enemy stand users around here?" You ask, only to see your friends shrugging while looking at eachother.

Frustrated, you decide to just look over to the menu and order some water, while Avdol suggests trying out a drink called Chai for the gentlemen around the table.

The water looks really moldy, so drinking it doensnt sound like a good idea, but you didnt order this to drink.

You hold the glass with your two hands and do some hamon breathing while you're at it, trying to sense an enemy's presence lie Joseph said you could do.

You look over to the water and see it glistening with Hamon and rippling over to the far side of the cup.

It seems to be working, but it doesnt seem to be pointing at anyone specifically. Maybe it works more like a compass, so it's probably pointing outside of the room...

Im glad you all enjoyed it.
To be frank it was hard to think of a good Hamon user to be related to Hitomi since i wasnt really counting on her learning it this soon, but Messina turned out to be a great choice, especially since choosing a zeppeli would be too obvious.
Anyone looking forward to the fight against Hanged Man?
>>
>>2117223

In terms of trying to think of a way to beat him? Yeah, probably.

In terms of Hitomi's well-being and mental health? No, not at all.

Hanged Man is probably one of the stands that's the most tricky to deal with, since it seems like brute physical force doesn't really work unless he's in transit. It's not really clear either if KC channeling hamon into a surface that he's in would be effective either.
>>
>>2117277
Nice dubs, but it probably won't. However, it's possible that we could turn his strength against him and start infusing reflective surfaces with hamon energy. Hanged Man would simply leap out of a surface threatening to be charged with Hamon, but if he has to leap into one already charged, he's going to at least take chip damage every time he goes through one. Even better, if we can put hamon into a whole pane of glass or other such objects, this actually turns Hol Horse's part of the plan into actively fucking up J Geil, since not only will Geil have to keep track of every shard of glass that was infused among the giant mess of shards, but it also means we can potentially have the shards explode more violently than normal, sending shrapnel his way. This revolves around us figuring out Hanged Man's gimmick early enough to lay traps, though.
>>
>>2117358
The problem with your strategy is that anything that isn't organic doesn't sustain a hamon charge for too long. And doing it on people's eyes would probably leave them blind. I think hamon is going to be secondary in this fight and clever use of Karma's powers will be what
will give us the victory.
>>
>>2117379
What if we absorbed a mirror/reflective metal, and had our stand pretend to be a statue? If we tricked J Geil into entering our stand while it was mirrored, then became something nonreflective, would it hurt him or just spit him out?
>>
>>2118584
That would be suspicious. How often do you carry statues with you?
>>
>>2118584

It'd probably just spit him out, I think.

It seems that actually doing stuff to the reflective surfaces doesn't actually affect Hanged Man; breaking glass just gives him several more angles of attack, and cutting off light sources just forces it to retreat if it becomes non-reflective.
>>
>>2118876
This makes me wonder what avenues of attack karma can go with. there's a lot we haven't tested with karma, and there's a lot to learn. like, it has four gems? to absorb things with on it's plams, right? so, does that mean karma can absorb two or more things at once? If so, does she become half and half or some kind of amalgam between the two, creating a new material with the properties of each? Or, could she absorb something and spit out baser components by pushing it into two objects at once, or would it just apply the material to everything she touched? does the absorption travel like a wave, like with the hand of midas from Aladdin? If so, we could force hanged man into karma, have it absorb something reflective, and then force it out through absorbing something non-reflective as the wave travels to a single point, with hanged man being forced in a straight line out of that point. Can it partially absorb something? As in, can it only turn part of it's body into something? If so, maybe karma could apply some reflective properties to it's hands and make a cup motion, like a reflective disk that concentrates all the light to one point. If not, maybe Karma can contort her body to make it so the mirror that is it's body can focus light to one point? Also still wondering if it can pass through things it's absorbed...
Man is there a lot to test...

"Sir,where's the toilette?" Polnareff asks to the nearby waiter.

As you watch the indian man escort your friend to thebathroom, you notice the water on your glass move a lot faster than it should, almost spilling out into the table.

Wait a minute...The water isnt pointing outside of the restaurant, it's pointing to the bathroom wall.

Since you dont really wanna call too much attention, you tell Kakyoin to watch Polnareff using Hierophant Green to follow him to the bathroom door.

"Roger." Kakyoin says, summoning his stand and presumably placing a few tentacles on the bathroom door.

After a few minutes of silence. Kakyoin gasps and retracts his stand.

"Kakyoin? What's wrong?" Jotaro is the first to notice Kakyoin's condition, which prompts the rest of your group to react in a similar fashion.

You can see he's bleeding profusely from the side of his torso, was it a sneak attack?

"Ack! But the stand... I didnt even see it!" Kakyoin says, struggling to stay on his seat.

"Stand!" Polnareff shouts, running out of the bathroom. "Where is he? The man with two right hands!?" He looks over to everyone's hands across the restaurant.

Since he didnt really find anyone with deformed hands in that place, the frenchman angrily ran to the establishment's front door.

"We're going after Polnareff!" Avdol says, going out the door with Jotaro.

"Mr. Joestar, wait!" You blurt out just before Joseph follows Polnareff as well.

After being reminded of Kakyoin's injuries, Joseph runs up to where you two are, picking up Kakyoin and placing him over the table.

With Joseph lifting his shirt up, you can see his wounds are even worse than you expected them to be. His bleeding chest has been slashed away multiple times, with each cut being as deep as the last, with one final stab wound close to his kidney.

Whoever attacked Kakyoin, it obviously wasnt playing around. The murderous intent is more than obvious, but how did they get him so easily.

"This doesnt look good... Hey Kakyoin, stay with us!" Joseph says, noticing your classmate slowly falling unconscious.

You don't think he's in a condition to wait for an ambulance, especially with this amount of blood loss. But maybe you could heal him a bit using...

You ask Mr Joestar if he's able to help you out on that healing ability that was posible through Hamon.

"I have to admit it's been a while since i've done this, but it's worth a shot if it means saving Kakyoin." Joseph says, focusing his breathing and placing his fingertips on Kakyoin's body.

Following his gesture, you decide to do the same. You're not sure if this will work considering the last time you tried that out, but nontheless, you place a weak Hamon current to your classmate's body and focusing the energy to stay close to his wounds.

The technique proves to be quite sucessful as the wounds from his body closes in an instant, as if they were being stitched by the world's most precise surgeon.

He's not bleeding anymore, but he still remains unconscious. but after a brief check on his pulse, Joseph gives you a thumbs up, making sure you know he is still alive.

After Joseph puts Kakyoin's shirt back on, you tell him you'll try to detect the enemy stand user with the glass of water.

"Sure thing. No need to worry about Kakyoin, i'll stay with him." He says while you exited out the restaurant.

While you were holding the glass of water, the ripples only seem to get weaker the more you try to focus your energy on it. You're not really doing anything different than what you were doing before, so you figure the enemy is probably just going farther away.

"--Didnt you see what he did to Kakyoin? You'll be dead if he tracks you down!"

"That's exactly what i'm trying to avoid! This is my mission and mine alone, why would i let any of you get involved in this if it means you'll just be another number in the casualty list?"

You exit out the door to see Polnareff arguing with Avdol, with Jotaro staying quiet and letting them resolve this by themselves.

Is that really the best option though? It looks like they're just ready to start off a fight...

"Calm down, Polnareff!" You interrupt their bickering, to the surprise of both of them.

"How can i calm down knowing that my opportunity to kill J.Geil is slipping throgh my hands as we speak?" Polnareff replies, confused to see you taking Avdol's side.

"What's going on here?" You ask Jotaro, who adjusts his hat to explain the situation.

"Polnareff wants to hunt down J.Geil, but he doesnt want us to follow him after seeing Kakyoin being taken down so easily. Avdol's trying to explain to him that going alone is just as bad someone else dying for him, but he's still being stubborn about it."

"What's so stubborn about not wanting to take this risk? Even if he kills me, i'm still the one with the least to lose. You all still have Dio to face, a bigger goal to achieve. Why bother risking everyone's lives if i can do this by myself? Hitomi did the same thing after figthing strength and everyone's fine with it now, why cant i get a pass too?" Polnareff still insists on his point about fighting the enemy by himself.

"I didnt get a free pass either! I tried my best, but you saw how terrible that was for me. We didnt get this far by ourselves! That's exactly why we have a better chance of defeating him by fighting as a group!"

These words seem to have stricken deep into Polnareff as he starts to go on the defensive side.

"But... I just--"

"We understand that you're concerned, but this isnt the way to go, Polnareff." You interrupt him to make your point sound clearer. "The stand user attacked Kakyoin, which means he's going to go after us regardless of you pursuing him. There is no better option than staying with us."

Polnareff sighs deeply and scratches his head in silence.

"You're right. I guess the panic just over my judgement. Sorry for the outburst, you've made your point, and im glad i managed to see it before screwing anything up."

Both Avdol and Jotaro seem pleasantly surprised at the way you've handled the situation. Not only you managed to show Polnareff the arrow in his ways, but you probably avoided what could prove to be a grave mistake.

"Alright then. I'm staying. What's the plan?" Polnareff asks, waiting for everyone's imput.

"Personally, i think looking for an inn is the best option for now. Kakyoin is in no condition to fight against stand users." Avdol suggests.

"But we can't let the enemy know where we are either, so we have to keep an eye out for stand users. Good grief... They seem to have the advantage on us on that regard."

yeah, unfortunately, Karma Chameleon does not have precognitive abilities, so no in-quest reason to be able to.
Or does it?
>>
Jotaro's great eyes have the best chance of finding the Stand that attacked Kakyoin, and if we're in an open area, Magician's Red is at its absolute best. Polnareff should hang back so he can break away and use Silver Chariot's speed to chase down J Geil once we're sure of his position. Joseph and Hitomi honestly would be best served either guarding Kakyoin or standing back and brainstorming ideas to toss out to the others.

I don't consider metagaming if you guys think of a plan before the fight, but making Hitomi suddenly do something because it goes according to keikaku is something that wont really work. So yeah, you need a in-quest reason to do so.
>>
We, however, have proven to be a dependable mini-mastermind, so staying behind and guarding Kak makes sense...
>>
>>2119631
That's pretty sound reasoning. Only thing I can think of that may be bad is if one of them gets injured and neither of the healer duo are there. Also, some way to communicate over distances... I'd say ask Joseph if his stand could do that, but...

Well, maybe there's some kind of overdrive that can send a message over long distances? I know there's a kind of thing you can use to whisper something into someone's ear from afar and only then if you have a direct line to them. Or some kind of life magnetism thing. Write a message on a leaf and home it in on someone. Might only be one way though

"Why not both? Maybe after booking an in for Kakyoin, we can look for J.Geil with Polnareff for the rest of the day while someone else takes care of him." You suggest to the group.

"Wouldnt that count at splitting up?" Polnareff asks, unsure if that would work any better than what he did.

"Not if you dont go too far. It's still better than going by yourself." Jotaro explains.

"I don't see why not, it sounds like a good idea to me." Avdol voices his opinion.

"It's settled then. I'll talk to the old man about it" Jotaro opens the door to the restaurant to inform his grandfather.

...

After paying the bill, Avdol carries Kakyoin to a nearby inn and lets him rest on a bed.

"Alright Mr Joestar. What do you think we should do?" Polnareff asks Joseph.

"Well, the enemy appears to be a long ranged stand user, so i'm obviously out.He was pretty smart to take Kakyoin out first since he's the only long ranged stand user..." Joseph trie to rationalize the situation.

"Magician's red's fires can reach pretty far, but i'd have to know how his stand works to be ceirtan to say if i have an advantage. How did you say the stand attacked again?" Avdol asks Polnareff.

"I didnt really get it either, he appeared as a reflection in the mirror, but when i turned around the stand wasnt even there." Polnareff badly explains.

"Hitting the stand sounds pretty hard, but maybe i'd be able to look for the stand user with Star Platinum's vision. I doubt he'd be standing if i corner him, either" Jotaro also opinionates.

This is tough. On one hand, we could stay, heal kakyoin, and try to corner hanged man together with him. Or, we can go with jotaro and use our tracking abilities to get the user, with the hope that possibly Joseph and kakyoin might be able to wake up in time...
Either way, we know that mirrors are involved some way now, so cover up mirrors and Windows. Also don't answer the door no matter what.

Working off in-character stuff, if he wasn't there when he turned around, either he's invisible and can only be seen in the mirror, or he's so fast he vanished in the time it took Polnareff to turn his head. Star Platinum really is the best for determining which it is. If it's speed, Silver Chariot with the armor off should be able to catch it, but Avdol really does have the best chance, since if it's either of those, surely he can just throw out a ton of fire and either hit where he's hiding or hit everywhere at once, making it pointless to move. Polnareff is definitely not sitting this one out with us, that's for sure, so it really does seem like those three going out and staying within earshot is the best bet.

"Sounds good. I'll stay with Joseph to take care of Kakyoin." You say to the parting group.

"We'll call you up if we get a lead." Avdol informs before saying goodbye and exiting out of the inn.

The rest of the afternoon turns out to be somewhat tedious, with both of you and Joseph doing nothing but check on Kakyoin and waiting for a few hours, but you ultimately stick with it in order to help your friend out.

"Jotaro told me about you convincing Polnareff to stay, that was pretty bold of you!" He compliments your efforts, seemingly starting up a conversation.

You heard him talk plenty of times about his Hamon friend Caesar, but you never really got to know much about him, so what better time to ask him about Caesar?

"Oh, Caesar Zeppeli was a friend i had back in the old days. When i had to learn more about Hamon, uncle Speedwagon made us meet in Rome, but we didnt really get along all that well. After training together with him with my mother Lisa Lisa however, we learned to put our differences aside for the greater good. I'll have to admit, he was a pretty competent fighter too. Who would have thought using Hamon on bubbles would be good enough to develop a fighting style from it?"

Wait, bubbles?

"Yeah, he filled his gloves with soap to fuse them with Hamon, which proved to be both creative and effective against most of our encounters."

Most, huh? He did imply that Caesar died while fighting with your grandpa Messina, so this story probably doesnt have a happy ending...

"We had a falling out during our chase against the Pillar Men. You see, he had great respect for his family name, the Zeppelis. So just like Polnareff, he wished to get revenge on the pillar men for the problems they caused with his family. I indirectly insulted his family by saying it didnt really matter what happened in the past, which caused him to run away to fight the Pillar Man Wamuu. By the time we arrived the fighting grounds, there was only a large block of cobblestone above his crushed corpse, and a bubble of blood, filled with all of his Hamon energy."

You expected him to sound a lot more sad than he his right now, but he seems to be saying this as if reminiscing an old fairytale. It seems he's likely gotten over it at this point.

"Caesar was an amazing fighter, and i doubt i would have won the war against the Pillar Men without him. I really wish things could have been different between us, but like i said 50 years ago, there's no use in whining about the past."

He's probably right about that... But you've heard enough sad stories for now, so maybe asking about his family would bring you to some light hearted topics.

"My family? Well, it's a funny story. You see, back when my grandfather died..."

Is that really a way to start a funny story??

"Hitomi? It's Jotaro. We found a lead on J.Geil's whereabouts, so we wont return until tomorrow. We found an inn next to the a place he usually visits, so we're hoping to catch him by surprise."

Alright then, guess you better warn Joseph about it later.

Jotaro probably knows, but it wouldn't hurt to remind him that J. Geil seems to use reflective surfaces to attack. Cover up windows and glasses and other stuff just to cut off avenues of attack.

Wouldn't hurt for Joseph and Hitomi to do the same thing on this end.

"How is Polnareff doing?" You ask Jotaro.

"Just fine. You did a great job at calming him down earlier. It's pretty easy to see he's still filled with revenge, but he's willing to take a breather and listen to us." Jotaro admits.

It's weird to hear Jotaro give you an honest compliment like that, but it's a really nice surprise.

Disregarding that, you ask him if any of them managed to discover anything else about J.Geil's stand.

"According to Polnareff, The Hanged Man was only visible inside mirrors, and if his assault on Kakyoin is anything to go by, he can only attack while showing up in a mirror, so we've been keeping an eye out for reflective surfaces, so i suggest you to do the same."

"Alright, be sure to cover up windows and glasses and other stuff just to cut off avenues of attack." You answer, worrying about your classmate.

"Will do. Can you pass the phone to the Old Man?" He asks, making you call Joseph.

While they're still talking, you can see the sun's already about to set, and judging by the amount of clouds forming up, you bet it's going to rain a lot this evening.

You walk around your room to check for anything shiny enough to reflect light, only to hear a loud thundering sound over the inn's roof.

You quickly run over to the light switch, lifting it up and down in disbelief.

The lights went out right when the sun was about to set. Great...Can things get any worse from here?

>To be Continued....
>>
I wasnt expecting you guys to not join the search for J.Geil, but i still have a few ideas on the list for the next session to be more than licking Kakyoin's wounds.

On another note, do you guys think i should do write-ins for all fights that happen offscreen, or just the ones that turn out to be a lot different than in canon? That's probably something i'll have to keep in mind for the next sessions.
>>
>>2120322
If it's very different, there's definitely nothing wrong with writing an omake/write-in over what happens once things deviate a bunch from the original.
>>
>>2120322
Up to you, Dust. If it’s an important off-screen scene that plays out drastically differently, I wouldn’t mind a write up.
>>
>>2120322
You could do a POV switch and we could play jotaro for a bit. Not sure how that would go. I'd like a thing for those that go way different than Canon. Also...

>>
>>2120342
>>2120344
Alright then, i wont do it that much for now since things are still similar to how they were in canon, but it's something i'll get used to doing depending on how good/bad things will go from here.

I wonder how desperate DIO could be in creating new Stand Users to throw at the Joestars? Do you think he might end up empowering something that might even exceed his own primitive grasp?
>>
>>2120474
Even if he was that desperate, that's something out of his grasp. But in short, he's pretty pissed that his plan to attack the Joestars before Jotaro got a stand is backfiring completely due to someone he just considered a failed experiment.
>>
>>2120522
So DIO's not so far gone and/or doesn't have his head so far up his ass that he'd consider giving a Stand to a being that can kill with a touch to anyone who doesn't know hamon?

I guess it's good to hear that he's really salty about him being directly responsible for creating one of his worst enemies. Though I guess he's had some practice with that, seeing how he was undone the first time he made a gamble at taking over the world.
>>
>>2120679
Dio is a man who places his ego above everything.
He wouldnt willingly power up someone who could easily tear him apart unless he's 100% sure they would serve under him, especially after his incident with Hitomi.
He's aware of the Pillar Men due to Joseph's Hermit Purple, but since the only remaining pillar men left is a decaying torso, he wont even bother knowing where he is.

The lights went out right when the sun was about to set. Great...Can things get any worse from here?

"Oh no! As if it wasnt hard already to see with all of those clouds outside." Joseph cursed after noticing the lights wenting out, along with the phone line getting cut. "I really dont know what Avdol saw about this place, it seems like everywhere we go things are either dirty or malfunctioning!"

Well, as inconvenient as this is, you'll probably just have to deal with it for now, although there's probably something you can do about this situation...

If we have a light on, we'll be extremely visible to everyone else. Then again, this also makes me wonder if fire works as a hamon conduit. Definitely a bad idea to try having KC copy fire though. You squint your eyes and try accostuming your vision tyo the lack of light as you move towards Kakyoin's bed.

Streching both of your arms, you avoid bumping into anyfurniture while getting a sense of the room using your other functioning senses.

Out of a sudden, you hear a sound of glass breaking exactly when you reach Kakyoin's bed.

You quickly run up to the window, only to see a small silhouette jumping away from the inn and running towards the streets.

You consider following whoever invaded your home, fearing it might be an enemy stand trying to attack you, but before you had a chance to act upon your instincts, you feel two hands reach your shoulders.

The unknown figure cups your head with one hand, as if trying to recognize who is front of him by tact alone

"Karma Chameleon!" You instinctively call out your stand and grab the unknown figure with it, holding him with Karma's four arms.

"Whoa! Hitomi, it's me!" You hear a familiar voice pleading for mercy.

The unknown figure seems to be Kakyoin Noriaki, who just woke up from his assault against J.Geil.

After quickly apologizing, you place him on the ground and ask him why did he sneaked up on you like that.

"I woke up with what appeared to be a woman staring down at me, she ran away after noticing i was awake, so i was wondering who you were until you called out your stand." Kakyoin explains.

"What's going on here?" A shadowy figure with Joseph's voice quickly enters the room.

"Oh, Mr. Joestar? A woman entered our house, but i'm not sure what she just did." Kakyoin greets the elderly man while trying to make sense out of what just happened.

By now, your eyes are somewhat accostumed to the short amount of light as you're able to distinguish the darker shadows to be both of your traveling companions inside the room.

"Are you feeling alright?" You ask your friend, he did recieve quite a beating from The Hanged Man afterall.

"Im a feeling bit sore, but other than that i can move and walk just fine." He says, stretching his arms to get a feel of his own body.

"Good to hear! I guess our Hamon is getting even better, huh Hitomi?" Joseph says, giving you a thumbs up.

You return the gesture, unsure if he's seen it. Still, that's not important to the question at hand...

"What did she look like?"

"I could tell she wore a sari not unlike yours, but other than that i didnt see anything distinctive about her appearance." Kakyoin reluctantly admits.

Weird, why would she break in our house like that and run away for no reason? Unless...

"Did she do anything to you?"

"I don't think so, i felt something drip down my wrist and it's been itching for a while now, but aside from that i dont feel any different." He says while you hear an itching sound on his left arm. "Where are the others anyway?"

"They're tracking down J.Geil." You fill him in.

"They found a lead and moved to another inn closer to where he apparently was." Joseph gives additional information to Kakyoin.

"Oh good. I guess we dont have anything to worry about then." Kakyoin says, relaxing after knowing that everyone was alright for now.

"Still, we should take a look at your arm. Just in case she didnt pass you a disease or anything." You tease your friend by playing with his worries.

"Right, i think Jotaro left his lighter on the table, i'll be right back." Joseph leaves the room, quickly coming back and using the light source to check on kakyoin's arm.

As Kakyoin pulls his sleeves back to his elbow, you see a small, pink colored dot on his wrist. It kinda looks like a pimple, but it doesnt look harmful.

Since you dont really know what it is, you figure it's best to just wash it and see if makes things any better.

You go to the nearest sing with Joseph and Kakyoin to wash his arm with some soap.

Sadly, it doesnt seem to change anything. the pink colored dot still remains the same. Darn, what if it actually is infected?

"Thanks, it stopped itching after you washed it." Kakyoin thanks you for your help.

"You better not scratch it, Kakyoin. Chances are it's gonna get worse if you do." Joseph warns.

"Sure thing,Mr Joestar." Kakyoin says. "Now, can we try litting up the place? It's kind of hard to see right now..."

You find some candles around the room, probably placed there in case blackouts like these occured. after having dinner with your two friends, you feel like it's a good time to rest for the day.

Feeling like you dont really have anything else to do for the night, you tuck yourself in your bedsheets and say goodnight to your friends, drifting to sleep after a few minutes.

Your peaceful sleep is interrupted by a sudden noise on the other side of your room. Is it that girl again?

You get out of your bed to see a terrifying sight.

Joseph is knocked on the ground, bleeding to death with dozens knives pierced on his body. Kakyoin is nowhere to be seen, but judging by the screams in the other room, you figure there's something going on.

You rush out of your room to check on your friend, only to see a blonde figure placing his hands on your classmate's neck and sucking the energy from him.

No...It cant be....

"You really thought i would just keep watching you and your friends come to Egypt?" The man says with his back turned to you."How foolish, i guess its best for me, Dio, to do this by myself."

"DIO?!"

The overwhelming fear you felt when you faced him the first time has increased tenfold. Not only that, seeing the state your friends are currently in makes your legs tremble from panic.

"I see there's still one more weakling to take care of." He turns around, spotting you after dropping Kakyoin's lifeless body to the floor.

"KARMA CHAMELEON!" You shout while summoning a stand to punch the vampire with all your might.

"MUDA!"

The moment your stand's fist comes close to him, a golden fist appears to counter your blow.

Is that his stand?

You can see purple thorns coming from his body, similar to the ones Hermit Purple has.

Two stands? That cant be right!

"As if your useless stand would be able to compare with mine!" Dio says, engulfing your stand in his thorns.

You've seen Joseph use his stand a couple of times, but you never imaniged he could have such a strong grip over someone's stand! Try as you might, you cant seem to get out of it.

You breathe in and charge your Hamon for a bit, taking a few seconds to jump into the undead vampire in front of you.

The golden fist appears once again to punch you away from him.

What for? You werent even aiming at him!

"Overdrive!" You chop the ground and send the Hamon energy you stored to the ground, electrocuting the vampire before he had a chance to realize it and jump away.

"Aaargh! But how could this be?! I am Dio!" The egotistical vampire gives a bloodcurdling scream as the energy flowing in his body start to melt him down.

"I AM DIO!" You hear him shout one more time before disintegrating into a pile of ashes on the ground.

You did it... You actually killed Dio! But what about your friends...?

You run up to Kakyoin to check if he's still alive. Sadly, it seems not only his blood has been drained away from him, but his neck was broken when Dio was holding him.

You then go back to your room and look for Joseph, and judging by his cold body and the amount of blood over his corpse, its obvious he shared a similar fate to Kakyoin.

You easily escaped with your life, but your friends werent as lucky...

You crouch down and cry on your Hamon master's lifeless body, letting all the sadness from losing both your friends come away at once...

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!"

You wake up after hearing another agonizing scream. This time, it sounded like a female voice.

Kakyoin is holding his arm with his stand while Joseph was doing the same thing with Hermit Purple.

"Finally, we took care of that annoying thing!" Kakyoin sighs in relief.

"Yeah, we--" Joseph notices the panic in your eyes. "What happend, Hitomi? You're sweating bullets."

Still shocked from the nightmare you had, the tears from your dreams seem to manifest into reality.

"I...I had a horrible nightmare..." You weep, thinking over the death of the two comrades in front of you, you're relieved that they're still here, but the fear from that dream turning into reality doesnt seem to go away...

"What?" Kakyoin and Joseph say in unison, getting closer to hear what you have to say.

"I'm just-- I'm just glad you guys are alright..." Is all you can blubber out during your incessant crying.

Kakyoin apprehensively places a hand on your shoulder.

"Hey, the nightmare's over now. No need to cry about it." He says, giving you a handkerchief.

As you look towards his arm, you see that the thing that was on his wrist yesterday is gone.

Story-wise, I want to tell Avdol about the dream, question him about prophetic dreams - we knew nothing of DIO's Stand before this, didn't we, why did we see The World's golden arm, then? Unless I'm forgetting something from the 1st thread...

>Joseph
None of you would be here if it weren't for him so that's pretty self explanatory.
>Hitomi
A constant reminder of what happens when he underestimates humans during his plans, he has a pretty big hate boner on her for that.
>Jotaro
He hasnt show that much prowess with his stand so far so it's mostly due to him being a Joestar.

>Kakyoin.
Pathetic coward who's only alive due to a filthy woman saving him multiple times. Not worthy of any dignity.

>Polnareff
He was only with him due to the flesh bud so he's not that surprised nor scared about pol being against him.

>Avdol and Iggy
Literally who?
>>
"Thanks..." You wipe off your tears with your handkerchief and wait for a bit until the sadness goes away.

"...What happened to the thing on your arm, Kakyoin?" You ask, trying to forget about your dream by changing the subject.

"It was a stand ability, it didnt do much other thank talk back to me, so i asked for Joseph to help me yank it off me." Kaykoin explains.

"It was a really annoying stand, but it went down pretty easily. It was probably planning on killing Kakyoin while he was asleep, but the user didnt know we managed to heal him up when we did." Joseph adds.

"Now, do you feel like talking about your nightmare? It's ok if you dont wanna go into detail about it, though." Kakyoin says, bringing the subject back to your sad dream.

You explain every little thing that happened during your short dream, which took some of the weight off your shoulders, but unsettled both of your friends.

"Damn... That's some heavy stuff to dream about, no wonder you were panicking." Joseph ponders.

"I guess none of us are taking this situation very well." Kakyoin admits.

Since Avdol hasnt done much other than talk and be the group's mom in this quest there's no reason for him to recieve any special treatment in the hate-scale, so he's pretty much paired with the dog he never met before.
>>2124103
Dont overthink those two words.
>>
"Do you think it might have any meaning though? I did see those golden fists coming from him..." You're quick to point out about the dream you had.

"I dont know, a dream is just a dream, right? It cant work as some sort of premonition, can it?" Kakyoin asks Joseph.

"She did mention the space ripper stingy eyes, something that vampires are able to use. I don't remember telling her anything about that either, so it's possible." Joseph deducts. "This is more of Avdol's thing so i cant really say for sure though, maybe you can ask him after they all come back."

Alright, guess you'll have to wait to get a clear answer on that one.

"Did you recieve any news from Jotaro?"

"Yeah, they said they were leaving the inn after spotting the guy. They told us to wait for an hour or two to call them back. The energy's already back by the way." Joseph informs.

Already, but just took a nap--

Oh, nevermind. The sun's already up.

Feeling that you havent made much progress with your stand, you decide to once again try absorbing liquids with Karma Chameleon, but maybe it'd help if you made things easier for you too.

You fill up the bathroom sink with water and place one row of Karma's hands on it while another row is placed on the concrete wall behind you.

Maybe you wont feel a heavy strain on your body by mantaining your form if it's only half of it...

Surely enough, you manage to transform the left side of your stand in water while the right one is still in a solid state, while its ceirtainly easier to do it than when you were injured, it's still something you havent quite mastered yet.

Feeling Karma's liquid half and comparing it to her solid state, you can see that the stand has become completely intangible, not even Star Platinum would be able to harm you since he just cant damage water with his fists.

But since the form proves to be tiresome, it'd probably be hard to maintain that form while taking damage... Combining that with your lack of offensive capabilities, it's safe to say you wont be using your liquid form unless you absolutely have to for now.

RING RING.

You hear the telephone ring again as you exit out of the shower.

Did Jotaro and Polnareff already take care of J. Geil?

You run up to the phone after putting your sari on, greeting what you expected to be Jotaro with a warm "Hello!"

"Um...Hello?" A confused male voice with a thick accent answers the line. You dont think you've ever heard this guy before?

"Who's speaking?"

"Name's Hol Horse, nice to meet ya!" The man introduces himself.

"Hey! Get out of the phone line!" A voice resembling Polnareff shouts in the distance.

Hol Horse? Who the heck is this guy? And why is he speaking on Jotaro's phone.

>To be continued...

Sorry for taking so long with some replies, guys. I had to take care of some things here in order to prepare for my nephew's first birthday party.

I wont be able to run a session tomorrow but i'll write the J.Geil event this week, stay tuned and see you on the next session!

At this point, I'm thinking her future job might be going full in on biology, with her job being a surgeon. Surgery is almost always high pressure, so her chances of fucking up go down astronomically!
And it gives her a chance to check out those pillar men cells, maybe
>>
>>2124218

Nah, if she goes Surgeon, she won't be let anywhere near cells because surgeons are all busy doing operations on patients. Lots of people get sick, you know.

She'd have to be some kind of microbiology researcher instead. And even if she gained the trust of everyone here beyond the shadow of a doubt, there's probably measures in place to make researching Pillar Men and Vampires very difficult to do, let alone their cells or their brains or what the Stone Mask does to either type of brain.

You know, the more I think about it, a liquid soap form for KC as suggested by this anon here: >>2124163

Might not be a bad idea. Caesar using bubbles was able to trap a grown man in a Hamon bubble, and later use it to block Messina's hamon-charged chop/punch and push him back a few feet to boot. Since physical attacks don't seem to harm it when it's in a nonsolid form, we could alternate defense/attack pretty easily if KC gets charged with Hamon in a soap form.

If we can figure out whether KC get hurt or not if it separates parts of itself when it's in a liquid form, it might be possible to do bubble cutters and hamon cutters (i.e. razor-sharp bubbles and liquid razors that can cut through knives) pretty easily. Though it might be difficult to learn how to get them to track enemies, unless we can somehow combine it with the life sensing thingy.
>>

The dream made me wonder... We might be fighting Araki's old iteration of DIO. The one wherein The World doesn't have Time Stopping powers, but rather, has the abilities of every other stand user(or perhaps, every Joestar stand user). If that's the case, we might be in for a lot of trouble.

https://www.reddit.com/r/StardustCrusaders/comments/2d3e26/jojo_theory_i_have/

Some Reddit poster made the above theory. But in summary, it's that The World copies Joestar stand abilities, in that Star Platinum naturally has Time Stop, and that Crazy Diamond had healing powers. Whatever case may result, we're certainly in for a bizarre adventure.

Or maybe it's just The World: Requiem.
>>
>>2124288
80.
>>2124947
Who knows? Maybe that dream tells a lot more about the fight against Dio that Hitomi wants to believe.
