"I'm sorry, but we are rather full this weekend." The hotel attendant said to Joseph, who was arranging your group's rooms. "The rooms won't be next to each other. Is that ok?"

"It's ok, i guess we have no choice." Joseph says after signing a check for the attendant. "As for the other rooms, Avdol and i will share one..."

"Jotaro and i will share a room, since we're both students." Kakyoin helps out Joseph by choosing a roommate.

"That means the last room would be Polnareff and..." Avdol look at both you and Polnareff.

"Whatever." Polnareff scoffs.

Judging how things are still somewhat tense with him, you ponder if it's worth sharing room with him or not.

>Share a room with him. What's the worse that could happen.

>Maybe it'd be better if you were someone else's roommate. (Specify)

He seems upset. We really need to talk and do something about it.
Maybe also find a way to communicate in case something happens.

Huh new thread again?

I swear you just started the 6th one yesterday what happened?

As upset as he might be, he's still not angry enough to refuse sharing a room with you. Better yet, sharing a room might even give you a chance of sorting things out with him.

"It's ok guys, i can share a room with him." You ease your comrades worries.

"What are we waiting for, then?" Polnareff says, holding his traveling bag and climbing up the stairs. "We've gone trhough a lot to reach Singapore, i want to at least get some rest at a peaceful place."

You wave goodbye to the rest of your group as you climb the stairs with Polnareff, who hasnt said a word to you.

It's getting a bit hard to keep up with him due to your injuries from the freighters...

"Polnareff. Please wait up! I can't run that well with my injuries..." You plead for the frenchman to slow down.

Polnareff turns around with an angry look, most likely ready to start an argument. However after seeing the concussion on the side of your head, he stands still on top of the staircase waiting for you to climb.

"Let's go." He sighs, taking the heaviest bag you were carrying while moving towards the end of the corridor.

You walk towards the end of the corridor with the frenchman as he opens the door to Room 912.

You desperately try to think of something to say, anyting to to make things better, really. But what can you even say to something like that?

Polnareff probably has gone through a lot for a man his age, things you don't really have any experience to give any meaningful advice, so it's best to stay quiet and let Polnareff figure this out for himself.

Before deciding what to do,you feel your stomach grumble, reminding yourself that you havent really had a meal since your fight with the Strength user.

Right, this probably isnt healthy for you...

You reach the phone on the desk and call for the room service, ordering your breakfast. After being notified that your meal will arrive under 20 minutes, you figure its a good idea to take a shower while you wait, all that sea water from the past 3 days gave an uncomfortable smell to your body.

You go to the bathroom and take off your clothes to enter the shower. Damn, all that Hamon training seems to be doing wonders for your body. You have the build of a female athlete! You bet a lot of your classmates would be jealous if you told them you got this physique by breathing alone...

You enter the shower and feel the hot water relax your body, filling you with energy.

By the way, didnt Joseph say something about being able to detect enemies using Hamon on water? Maybe you should try that out, it could be useful.

Better yet, you havent really tested Karma's absorbtion abilities on liquids, what better time to test it than inside a shower?

>Try to use Hamon on water.

>Try to absorb the water.
>>
>>2095417

I don't think Hamon has any effect on the body's need for temperature regulation or heat. It might make Hitomi more resistant seeing as how Joseph was able to take a few hits from Esidisi's boiling blood without flinching, but that's hardly the same as hours-long exposure to extreme temperatures where being in the shade is a requisite for survival.

You call over for Karma Chameleon to absorb the water puddles forming from under your feet. After she touches her pink crystals on the water, her marble body turns from its usual solids tate into a more liquefied form.

Weird... Why is your body starting to feel so heavy?

Karma then falls to the ground, unable to keep her form as you fall with her, completely losing control of your muscle strength.

With some heavy straining, you make Karma Chameleon rise again from the water puddle, forming her figure up to her torso and make her touch her hand crystals, making her reset to her usual state.

Absorbing liquid is definetly a possibility, but mantaining Karma Chameleon's form in a liquified state seems to be a lot harder. Maybe you didnt have enough water to absorb? Your weakened body condition probably didnt help either.

Oh well, better luck next time.

"Silver Chariot!" You hear Polnareff shout from outside of the bathroom.

Why would he call his stand inside the Hotel room?

>Grab a towel and rush out of the bathroom.
in what could possibly be life or death, clothes are not that important
>>
Why are you even asking this to yourself? The amount of stand fights you've had this week should be enough to tell you what that means..

You quickly rush out of the shower and wrap a towel around your body to cover yourself up. You don't have the time to wear your clothes or feel embarassed by it, Polnareff is probably in danger!

You grab the door handle and push it, only for it to not budge at all.

Is it locked?

No. The lock is from your side of the room, there's no way someone would make a lock for the outside of a bathroom.

The door is most likely being barricaded by something.

>Punch your way through.

You hear Polnareff's screams getting lounder, along with a raspy voice coming from outside and some heavy thuds on the ground.

Damn it! He is in danger!

You quickly grab the moldy soap bar from the sink, absorb it into your body and transform the wooden door into a soap rectangle, making it easier to yank it out of the way.

Before you could open the door, the fridge from the living room fell inside the bathroom, breaking the soap door and falling straight towards you.

Have KC change back into Marble to push/catch it while Hitomi dodges out of the way. KC holding/catching the refrigerator up should slow it down and give Hitomi ample chance to dodge.

Only Stands can hurt other stands, right? Even if KC can't lift it entirely, it should be just fine even if it gets caught under the refrigerator, at which point Hitomi can recall it and then resummon it.

Dio wasnt thinking much of Hitomi at the beggining since she apparently failed the stand test, but now that she's proving time and time again that she's one of the most capable fighters on the Joestar group, he's beggining to grow desperate, but his underlings are still convinced they can kill one of the crusaders, or at least slow them down, to which he agrees.

Avdol doesnt know if that's related to Dio's panic or not, but he heard on the TV that a lot of people in Cairo are going missing overnight for some reason, with the total report for missing persons being an average of 5 per night
>>
>>2095802

I wonder if Dio is super salty about the fact that he directly caused this situation, and is 100% responsible for what is shaping up to be a significant threat to him?

Picking up Polnareff's lead, you grab the blanket from Silver Chariot before the stand managed to get away.

You hold the stand with your lower hands while beating him over the head with the upper two, before finally throwing him up in the air and punch him to the window.

"KORE!" Karma shouts, sending the stand user flying down the building.

September 7th 1988.

Stand User Ebony Devil: RETIRED

"Room service!" You hear a woman knock on the door, most likely with your breakfast in hand.

"Hey, not bad!" Polnareff says from under the bed.

>"So much for a superhero entrance, huh?"

Also bout the towel business, think of it like this, it's still early enough in Stardust Crusaders where this could be considered ship teasing, because the audience doesn't know which of the Guy's she'll end up with. Joseph is out cause in the old mentorship position, and it'd be too creepy. THe two front runners are Jotaro and Kakyoin because they're the closest to her age, but Polnareff is the Darkhorse candidate as the handsome older foreigner.

"Are you ok, Polnareff? What happened?" You worriedly say as you crouch down to see what was wrong with him, not realizing you were still with just your towel on.

"The fucker strapped me down here after-- Aaaah!" Polnareff looks up starts talking, only to scream and nervously look down after catching a glimpse under your towel.

Noticing his reaction, you scream with him and close your legs in embarassment.

"Room service!" The woman repeats, knocking at the door one more time.

"C-Cou-Could you please wait for a minute? I-I just got out of the shower...."

...

You quietly eat your meal after freeing Polnareff and changing your clothes, the frenchman was still refusing to look at you, but that's probably for a different reason than before...

"S-so...Mr Joestar called us, he wanted to meet everyone at his room." Polnareff stutters.

"M-My lips are sealed, Hitomi. Don't worry!" He raises his hands in the air.

Good, you're glad that at least that's taken care of...

You wait for moment in silence, trying to fight the awkwardness in the air to ask him a question.

"...Polnareff?"

"Yes?"

"Are we cool?"

"Short answer, yes." He says, turning his head to you with a smile "I'm in a better mood right now. The long answer? I'll save it for later, we don't wanna keep Mr. Joestar waiting."

Polnareff stands up and heads towards the door, waiting for you to arrive.

...

Kakyoin opens the door to room 427 after a few seconds of knocking.

"Ah, there you are. Now we can protect ourselves against the Devil stand user you told us about."

"We just got done fighting with them!" Polnareff informs, flustered about his comrade's obliviousness.

"Oh, good job, then!" Kakyoin congratulates him, opening the door for you two to come in.

When you get inside the room, you see Avdol staring in shock to the ground in silence, Joseph sitting down while covering his face and Jotaro leaning at the wall with a griefful expression on his face.

"Since you two already took care of that, i believe we have another issue to discuss." Kakyoin start to fill you in on the information. "It's about Mrs. Holly."

No time limits, and you can turn anything into whatever you want as long as you have KC manages to absorb it beforehand.
>>
>>2096181

How might we go about developing KC's characteristics so that we get stat improvements or new powers? Is it just practice or do we have to do some crazy things to try and figure out new powers aside from a chance encounter with a Stand Arrow?
>>
>>2096222
Reject our humanity. I heard that's a good way to get new awesome powers.
>>
>>2096229

Well yeah.

But I'm asking specifically about our Stand, which is not quite so straightforward in method.
>>
>>2096234
it might just happen randomly. that's how it worked with DIO and Jotero.
>>
>>2096222
I'm not handing over secret abilities or Requiem stuff, what you see is what you get with KC, so it's important to practice with her when you have the chance, that way you can know all her abilities and max out your development potential as soon as possible.
>>
>>2096222
Since stands are a manifestation of the user's fighting spirit, it would seem logical enough to me that a stand develops as one's fighting spirit is tempered. The more experience you accrue in a fight, the better you and your stand get. The more determined and focused your spirit, the stronger your stand.
At least, that's how I choose to interpret it.

Wait a minute
Couldn't we store hamon charges in our allies, too? They might not be able to use it, but as a living and breathing entity, they should be able to store it just fine!
You won't be able to touch a single one of us, Dio!
>>
>>2098784
Don't get too confident...
>>
>>2098784

That would be unsafe for a variety of reasons.

When they wanted to get Esidisi out of Suzy Q., Joseph and Caesar had to do some really complicated mojo to make sure that she wouldn't die from the Hamon exposure. And this was when Esidisi was just a dying nervous system after getting shocked with an absurd amount of Hamon.

Hamon users can generate an excessive amount of Hamon because their own Hamon can't harm themselves. They can use formerly living stuff like meat, oil, and wood to store Hamon charges. But there's a reason why they don't use animals or people to store Hamon; because Hamon *is* harmful to other entities.

Small amounts of hamon is said to produce a tingling feeling in living people, which indicates a certain level of Hamon interaction with organ systems and the nervous system. How much damage do you think a person is going to take if they get shocked with enough Hamon to kill a Vampire or a Pillar Man? It might not be enough to melt them, but it could be enough to cause cardiac dysrhythmias or problems with the nervous system.
>>
If we become too weak to stand/move when turning KC into a liquid, would we get actually harmed if we tried to turn into a gaseous form? Also we really have to play around with liquid form and hamon - conducting hamon through our splashy Stand could find its uses.

Experimenting with various materials is also important, gemstones, metals (we know gold makes us overpowered), rubber, spider silk is extremely strong too, carbon-based materials are actually very tough, and also hella light.
>>
>>2098784
It's possible to heal both your wounds and the wounds of others with Hamon breathing, but the catch is while using it on yourself is easy since you can't harm yourself with your own Hamon charge, a lot of care needs to be put into using it on others. We apply too much Hamon to a wound and it'll microwave it from the inside out. Too little and we don't achieve anything. Honestly if Jotaro ever learned how to use this stuff he'd be near-perfect at it, considering Star Platinum's precision would give him a perfect measure of how much he needs to put in to achieve his desired result.
>>
>>2099441
It's decently inconsistent on the matter of non-users and hamon, though. For instance, you can use it to mind-control someone without any complications for them. And zepelli passed hamon through a frog with zero harm to the frog itself (even though it was delivered by a fucking punch...)
At the very least, we could probably put enough hamon into someone's bloodstream to dissuade Dio from trying to drink from them. Maybe not enough to kill him, but enough that it would harm him more than he would benefit from it.
>>
Oh right, since we've confirmed that Karma can work with liquids (albiet with difficulties), we should think of some potentially useful shit we could do with that.

Currently, all I can really think of is: Changing KC to Liquid Soap, charging KC with Hamon, and having her spread out a shitload of hamon-bubbles as a long-ranged attack. A nod to Caesar.

It might also be worth experimenting with KC in liquid forms and with one of our buddies to see if KC can separate itself and control liquid portions of its body remotely, or separating parts of KC while it's in liquid form results in injuries to the Stand and Hitomi.

Though golden KC probably suffered some dents when fighting Silver Chariot, Hitomi didn't seem affected by it.

Holly."

Between the silence of your 3 comrades, your previous conversations about Holly with Jotaro and the tone in Kakyoin's voice, this doesnt seem to be good news...

"Holly complained about feeling ill these past few days, so Jotaro was worried that an enemy stand might user be near her." Kakyoin continues. "The SpeedWagon Foundation isnt really abundant with stand users, but they sent the one they had to investigate on the matter at hand. While the stand user isnt able to to communicate very well, the other members from the Foundation got the message something wasnt quite right."

"That's when i tried taking a look at her with Hermit Purple..." Joseph speaks up while still convering his face. "We only found this." He pulls a polaroid photo out of his pocket.

The picture shows what appears to be Holly engulfed completely by green, tree-like vines growing out of her body, similarly to Hermit Purple.

"It seems that Dio's stand also awakened Holly's stand." Avdol points out. "But her kind nature doesn't seem to be able to control it properly, she isnt fit to be a stand user due to her non-violet soul. And that seems to be progressively worsening her condition."

Ponder internally about what Avdol just said about violent souls. Does this mean that Hitomi would have turned out to be a delinquent or some sort of hooligan if she hadn't gotten tangled up with all of this Stand business?
>>
"Is she going to be ok?" You worriedly ask about Holly's condition.

"I'm afraid not..." Avdol regrets to you inform you. "It's pretty natural for stand users to perish when they arent able to control their stands. I've seen it a lot, actually. Non stand users lose their family members all the time for unknown causes, completely unaware of what killed them."

Jotaro visibly greets his teeth after hearing this. He doesnt seem to be taking this very well despite hsi opinion of his mother.

"Is there any way we might be able to stop this?" You ask Avdol again, hoping to save Holly from her own stand.

"Well, it's possible to calm her stand down if we get rid of Dio, since his stand seems to be the influence on triggering Mr. Joestar and his family's stand."

Great, one more reason to get rid of that monster, you can bet he isn't getting away with any of this...

While we weren't a fighter per say we had enough willpower to pull a gun on DIO without shaking when we tried to save Kakyoin. "Do we have any other options other than killing Dio?" You question Avdol for other alternatives. "Maybe if we look for Stand users with healing powers?"

"I'm sorry, Hitomi. But this condition is something that i've yet to see be resolveds by outside means, either the stand user manages to control his stand properly, or the influence that awakens the stand needs to be extinguished. Even if we found a stand able to heal Mrs Holly, i doubt they'll be able to fix her in her current state.

Jotaro clenches his fists shut and bites his lower lip, likely to try to control his anger in this helpless situation.

"How much time do we have then?" You ask Avdol again.

"Hmm... Hard to say." He responds after pondering for a bit "I'm not able to diagnose her properly since i wasnt able to see it personally, but after the symptoms start, the user has little over than a month to live, maybe two full months depending on the situation."

"That's it then." Joseph stands up after wiping his face "We cant afford to take our time with this journey anymore, especially without knowing how much time Holly has left in her. We're traveling to Calcutta tomorrow!"

"Tomorrow?" Polnareff repeats in surprise.

"Hold on, Old man." Jotaro protests. "I understand that you want to go as soon as possible. But Hitomi hasnt fully healed from her fight with the Strength user, what if an enemy stand user takes advantage of that?"

"But--" Joseph tries to think of a counter argument for Jotaro's point, but after realizing he's speaking with his emotional side, he takes a deep breath and recomposes himself.

"Alright Hitomi." He looks over to you to ask you a question. "I'd rather get to Egypt as soon as possible, but we'd rather do it while everyone's at their best. So if you feel like resting for some more time, i'm... fine with that." He sighs before finishing the last part of his sentence.

>>
"It's ok, Jotaro. I think i can handle it for now." You ease Jotaro's worry about your injuries.

Sure, it might be dangerous to get caught in stand user crossfire while you're not fully healed, but staying still while Holly's condition deteriorates sounds a lot worse in your opinion. You doubt you could even live with yourself if you let Jotaro's mom die like that.

"Hitomi's one tough cookie!" Polnareff helps in proving your point "Even while injured, she managed to help me out during the fight with the Devil stand user when she barely got out of the shower! I think she can handle a slight headache for a few days!"

He could have left out that part about the shower, but he manages to solidify your argument, which makes Jotaro ponder for a bit.

"Good grief... Fine. But you better rest in your room for the remainder of the day. We don't want to regret this decision." He reluctantly lets you go while advising you to stay in your room.

That's odd. Even after the terrible news about his mother, he still seems able to consider you enough to object in rushing to save his own mother. Given how Jotaro is, its hard to say if it's because he's just being cautious of enemy stands or afraid of putting you in danger.

Would love to talk to Joseph, but we really need some knowledge on stands right now. We can talk to Joseph sometime soon
>>
"Hey Mr Joestar, you wanna talk for a bit?" Polnareff worriedly asks his senior companion. "You don't seem to be taking this all that well, wanna go to your room?"

"Sure...Thanks a lot,Polnareff." Joseph says while accompanying the frenchman to his room.

Polnareff doesnt have a good way with words, but he makes a lot of that up when he starts talking about himself, and since this incident with Holly likely made him relate to Joseph considering what you know about him and Sherry, they'll probably have a lot to talk.

Avdol, noticing how he was the only one left in the living room, looked up to you while adjusting his headband?

"Is there something you want to talk about?"

We should try it with Avdol.
>>
>>2103371
That would be extremely dangerous. Fire is plasma, which is even worse to work with then gas. Maybe it might work under some kind of strong magnetic field or under glass to keep it together instead of dispersing, but even then, if we do do it, we'd need to have extremely fine control of our stand at that point, if we even absorb it.

There's definitely some araki bullshit I want to try. There was that suggestion earlier for turning people into inanimate objects to either kill or put into suspended animation. But to see if that works, we'd need to check for adding a property to an object and then taking it away leaves the object. I.e, tuning a wooden cube to cloth, and then absorbing the cloth. If absorbing the cloth magically turns it back into a wooden cube, we're golden. If the cloth cube gets entirely absorbed, no can do.
And then I want to check if chameleon can absorb us entirely. Definitely not something I want to try soon, but if we're critically injured or something...

"Do you think Mr. Joestar will be alright?" You respond Avdol's question with another one.

He takes a glimpse at the room where Joseph entered, giving him time to formulate a response.

"The potential loss of a family member isnt something anyone can take lighlty, so his reaction is understandable. However, Mr. Joestar usually works very well under pressure, so as long as we take care of Dio in time, he will likely be fine."

The stakes only seem to get higher the closer you get to Egypt, fighting daily with stand users will probably be even worse now that you're on a time crunch.

Speaking about stands, you were curious of why Holly wasnt able to control her stand properly, especially with the amount of users you've been fighting lately, but since you didnt really want to offend Joseph or Jotaro by unproper ording, you decide to ask this while you're alone with Avdol.

"You know Hitomi, Stands are the manifestation of a living being's soul. You can tell a lot about someone's characteristics by judging their stands and how they use them. This is also why animals are also able to have stands, it's all based on instinct and how you are not as a fighter, but as a person."

That makes sense, but it doesnt really explain your question, where is he getting at?

"But if your instinct tells you not to be a fighter when you need to, what will your stand do?" He rethorically asks, explaining Holly's condition. "Stands arent something that requires a lot of willpower to use properly. Even with Dio's arrow, even he probably knows that, even while growing stands artificially. It's likely the reason he left you for dead when he found you."

That ceirtanly clears things up.

Changing the subject, you mention your attempt at absorbing liquids, figuring his experience with stands, you ask Avdol to give you some insight on the subject at hand.

"Well, like Joseph said earlier, you need to be at your best to have your stand at full capacity, which is why that was probably harder than it should have been. Even so, that was your first time absorbing something not solid, am i right? That'll probably make it hard to mantain your stand's form compared to something like rock or wood. But as long as you keep trying, it'll probably get easier for you."

You know what'd be a good way to get used to our stand, at least in the coordination department?
Juggling. Start off having KC juggle, learning to coordinate those arms perfectly. Then have KC juggle to us, and us back to her. That'll increase our capability of controlling and acting at the same time.
Four arms are kinda tricky!

I wonder how accurate KaC would be with a bow? Not like it'd be useful much, but compared to star platinum who could probably hit the bullseye every time, how accurate would hitomis be? And how far could she send it, if she had a big enough bow? Two hands to pull back a bow string and two hands to keep the bow steady has gotta count for something.
>>
>>2103587

According to the character sheet, KC's precision is "C", so I'd guess it's about as coordinated as a normal person. This can possibly change if Hitomi gets to working extensively to get better at coordinating and controlling KC, but I wouldn't expect it to be able to flick a bullet with sniper accuracy like Star Platinum or Crazy Diamond can.
>>
>>2103587
I'd give her some pretty good accuracy with a bow, due to the four-arm factor. Though the string pull would probably suffer from having two hands pull it back, unless you used a modified bowstring puller so that it's still centered. Though, that's not really necessary - you could always have three hands on the bow and one on the string. Even more stability!
I guess from there it's just a matter of getting used to the bow enough that you get a feel for where it's going to go when done in certain ways.
>>
You thank Avdol for sharig his knowledge, and while you're waiting for Polnareff to return, you decide to have some smalltalk with him. Accounting that you don't know him personally as well as the others in this journey despite how long he's been with you, now is as good as time as any.

He passionetly starts talking about his humble upbringings as a single child in Egypt and his talent at fortune telling. While you were never really a believer of things such as fate or predetermined course of events for humans, you respect Avdol enough to hear his views about it, giving you a new, unbiased perspective on fate and destiny.

Next, he tells you about how he's travelled all around the Middle East due to his job as a fortune teller, which let him to living the comfortable life at Kairo he currently lives, that also probably explains how out of everyone on the group, he's the least affected by the culture shock. Out of all the countries he's been, India seems to be his favourite due to taking a liking to the country's energy and how it contaminates it's inhabitants. He's probably pretty excited about going to Calcutta, then.

Overall, the conversation proves to be really relaxing to both of you, making it easier to relieve the stress from the past few days. Avdol really is an easygoing person to talk to despite his reserved appearance, you should talk with him more often.

...

After Polnareff was done talking to Joseph, you waved goodbye to him and Avdol and went back to your hotel room.

You have a quick meal with Polnareff and let him escort you to your bed to do as promised: Rest to treat your injuries until tomorrow.

When you look to the clock, you realize its still 2 PM, so waiting 24 hours in your bed will probably be quite boring.

Also, the pain from your concussion is really bothering you, especially now that you're just standing still.

Oh well, you guess you could try to ease the pain by doing something else.

Joseph said that Hamon had some healing properties, right? If you managed to pull some healing off, you could probably fix yourself in a flash.

You try your damnedest to focus your breathing and try to store the hamon on your body for defensive purposes rather than offensive ones. But truth to be told, you have no idea on what you are doing.

You know there's a way to do this, but focusing on it without any guidance proves to be incredibly hard.

You can feel the energy move up to your head, you're almost there...

You feel a small amount of liquid drip on the pillows under your head, making you stop your Hamon breathing.

Great. You've reopened the wound.

The heat coming from Hamon probably doesnt do well stored in your body doing nothing, but you think the act of putting all of that hit into a barely healed wound probably was the kicker for it.

You try to stand up and move your pillow, but the exhaustion from misuse of hamon piles up with the one from your body.

In the end, you've just ended up feeling more tired and hurt from this experience.

Thankfully, you hear a worried voice coming from the other side of the room.

"Hitomi! Are you alright?"

Polnareff is quick to treat your wound, switch your pillows, give you some painkillers and help you out with whatever you need.

It seems you have his full attention, and his warm smiles shows he's pretty happy to be helping you out, too. So at least something good came out of this.

"Thank you, Polnareff" You return his kindness with a smile of your own, prompting him to blush and advert his eyes from you.

"H-hey, no need to look at me like that..."

So he has a timid size? That's definetly unexpected, given his looks you guessed him to be the womanizer type, but if this journey is anything to go by, you're not supposed to judge any of your companions by their looks alone.

As your mind slowly starts to drift into simpler thoughts, you feel the heaviness of your eyelids slowly take toll on you.

"There, there..." He pats your head, encouraging you to sleep. "You've earned your rest, don't you dare wake up on me, missy!" He chuckles, leaving your bed and heading out to the bathroom door.

"Yeah, thanks again for helping me out." You respond your roommate while giving a big yawn.

"Hey, after all that happened today, i should be the one thanking you. It's been a while since i've done this amount of soul searching." Polnareff humbly says while giving you an odd comment, you wonder what he means about that...

"Is Jotaro Ok? How did he met that stand user?" You ask Polnareff, afraid Jotaro might have gotten hurt.

"Apparently the user disguised himself as Kakyoin with his shapeshifting stand and went along with him when they got out for a walk. Jotaro had some trouble since it was his first real stand fight, but he's a smart kid, it was only a matter of time before he won after finding out the stand's weakness."

Phew. At least you don't have to worry about that.

Now that you got that out of the way, you also need to talk about Polnareff's encounter with J.Geil. He probably isnt taking that too well, and since you don't really know what he will do after meeting the guy, it's probably good to talk about this beforehand.

"To be completely honest... I dont know what will happen after i find him. I'm still planning on killing him as fast as possible for what he did to Sherry, but..."

After combing his hairdo, he sighs and looks to you through the mirror.

"Ever since she died, i've never really got acquainted with anyone else for 3 years. I only had revenge in my mind, so i tried my best at working alone... But after the short time i spent with you all, between the laughs with Mr. Joestar, Kakyoin's friendly nature, the small bickerings with Avdol, my smoke breaks with Jotaro and with your..."

He things of something to say, but stops himself mid-sentence, not finding the right words.

"Thing is, i feel great traveling with you all, and i've been here in this journey for only 4 days. It feels like i'm back with my family again, but..."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oG7jKUHsLfY

Polnareff turns over to you.

"But maybe i got too attatched to you guys, despite what happened with Sherry. That's why i wouldnt be able to forgive myself is something happened to any of you, it's annoying... Having people up and die on me... It just annoys me so much..."

You start to see the tears running down his face, despite his effort to hold them back.

I can't guarantee him we won't die, or anyone else forcthat matter. Dio is dangerous, and promising him people won't die might reassure him in the short term, but in the long term it might have some consequences. "I'm sure everyone liked having you around too." You start out your speech in attempt to soothe his pain. "We all care for one another Polnareff, and that's why we need to stick together and work as a team. I won't promise that none of us will die, but I can promise that we'll each do our hardest to cling to life, and to help each other to do the same. Where we're going, there's no safe road. Dio is a powerful enemy, with powerful allies. Our biggest chance of walking away from this is to have each other's backs. Once everything's over, you won't have to worry."

These last few sentence seem to make him finally break down into tears. He holds you close in a thight embrace, hiding his head down as you feel his tears flow down your shoulder. He tries to say something in return, but he only manages to sob more. He holds you close for a few minutes while you calmly wait for him to regain his composure.

"Th-thank you, Hitomi." He finally says, letting you go."This...This means a lot to me. I promise you i'll do my best on this journey! I won't let any of you down! Dio won't stand a chance!" He says, wiping the tears from his face.

You simply smile back in silence. It's weird how you were questioning the same thing to yourself a few days back, only to calm down your new friend about the same thing when he needs to.

You weren't lying when you said all of that, though. The same applies to you, and just like Polnareff said, you dont intend on letting any of your new friends down.

"So." Polnareff says after a sniff. "I think i'm going to sleep after this one. Don't wanna keep Joseph waiting tomorrow. I suggest you do the same to make sure your head injury gets better, but be sure to eat something first, ok? I've left something for you in the fridge if you want to."

He slides under the sheets in his bed and closes his eyes.

"Good night."

>Good night Polnareff.

>Stay awake.

>Eat a meal and go back to sleep.

"Good night, Polnareff." You say to the sentimental man to your side, standing up and heading towards the kitchen to grab your meal. All these times you got knocked out during your journey will probably do really bad for your body if you don't eat properly...

Joseph decided to set for a smaller boat due to safety precations. Thing is, he only noticed midway through the journey that the boat probably wasnt the fastest in the category.

Nontheless, it seems the next 5 days will probably be a lot more relaxed than the last ones. So you decided to use this time to.

>Practice with your stand.

>Practice with your Hamon.

>Heal up and relax with your friends.

With jotaro, since it seems the two of us need to practice with our stands more.

This is the key to healing.
Make sure to practice it WITH joseph. He needs to un-rust himself.
>>
We should focus on learning and refining Hamon's healing properties right now. We don't want anyone holding us up with injuries now that we have a time limit.
>>
>>2104768

This
Take a bit, maybe a day out of the five, to practice healing with Joseph so any scrapes received in stand battling with jotaro can be quickly fixed. Also counts as hamon practice.

You decide to spend your first 2 days practicing Hamon with Joseph to see if any of you learn/remember any new techniques and spending the next 3 sparring with Jotaro in order to train his inexperieced Star Platinum.

Your training with Joseph didnt really had any progress, with neither of you learning anything you didnt know before. Your training with Jotaro however, proved to be quite fruitful.

You easily take care of his Star Platinum on the first day, countering Jotaro's bullet speed and precision with your superior range.

That is until he learns a new technique by the end of the day: The Star Finger.

With it, he is able to extend Star Platinum's index and middle finger, giving him an extra range of two additional meters. Combining this with Jotaro getting used to figthing against medium-ranged stands, the remaining 2 days of training consisting of nothing but you being completely dominated by Jotaro's Star Platinum.

You're glad he managed to learn something new asnd turn into a more experienced fighter, but you also wished you could say the same thing to Karma Chameleon...

>To be Continued....

Thanks for coming in guys!

As i said before, i'm going for a trip with my family this week, so the quest will be put on a short hiatus until i get back, so i thought i would end on a good cliffhanger.

While i wont be able to run a quest on the run, i'll try my best to respond on the thread when i can to or on my Twitter.

See ya later!

Thanks for running, Dust!

While I'm sad that the dice gods ordained that we make few gains, I'm also glad that Jotaro will be able to pull his weight pretty well.
>>
Might as well post this just to get a sense of everyone's thoughts about the possible husbandos.

Shame on you Qm

If i posted Hol Horse i'd have to disable IP checking to vote on him 10 times.

>>2105100
Will we be able to add hol horse to the group?
>>
>>2105107
I doubt it
>>
>>2105135
What if we roll three 100s in a row?
>>
>>2105139
You'll turn into the Ultimate Life Form with him and live happily ever after flying around in space.
>>
>>2105146
That sounds great!
So, will it count if it's any time throughout the story or at a specific moment?
>>
Why do we only get good rolls in battles?
Maybe Hitomi is just really good under pressure.
>>
>>2105164
Feel free to try it out on any Horse related roll.
>>
>>2105180
Taste THIS! Assuming the formatting works.
>>
Its September 13 and Hitomi turns 18 November 9th. Just in time to be legal for Polnareff.
>>
>>2105836
Unfortunately Hitomi belongs to Jotaro. sorry bud
>>
Think of some stand combos with our allies!

Silver Chariot's armor into cloth, reduces the weight significantly and dampens blunt strikes due to the thickness of the armor. If we could get our hands on kevlar, we could make it a lot more effective, especially against stabbing, slashing, and piercing.
And yes, Kevlar should be commercially available at this point in time.
>>
Is that our requiem ? 《UNDER PRESSURE》Basically Star Platinum but more ass pull.
>>
>>2107430
Is what our requiem?
>>
>>2107430
Doing better the more danger we're in, making us virtually invincible when the situation is practically guaranteed to result in death/defeat? Maybe. Or she's just tenacious.

With Hamon? Nah. That only goes so far at slowing your aging.

You're better off making him fight Alessi.
>>
>>2113561
I know he is old because he stoped doing his hamon. I am just hoping that there is some way to shave off a year or 30.
