"All right, we'll help." you say, the young seeming girl leaping and pumping a fist into the air cheering. "But first, we'll need to know what we're up against. Tell me everything."

And she does, outlining the attack on the Zoldyck Manor. Her grandfather and most of the family were gone on assignments, and it was a quiet day. Suddenly explosions rocked the manor, and dozens of ships were flying overhead. Nefarious's heavy mechanized infantry marched on the manor, the Zoldyck servants engaging them in sudden pitched battle. Father started shooting down the attack ships, but suddenly two men rushed and engaged him. He talked to them, something about a brother and told you to flee. The two assailants were both blond bowl cut humanoids, but the one caught your eye. As he looked at father, his eyes turned a hateful, glowing red and he tried to lash father with chains as you fled, retreating to the hidden bunker deep under the manor. From the hidden bunker, you watched through the cameras as the men capture your father, then the other writes a note and leave it on the ground as they leave.

"And that's what happened." she finishes, handing you the note. It reads:

Zeno

If you want to see your son again, you will come to the ruined city on Planet Naad and surrender yourself to us. You know which one. Your life for his, you have five months until we kill him and capture another of your family to try again.

You hand the note back, contemplating all you've learned. The attackers were clearly tied to that damn bastard Nefarious, or at the very least bought some of his damn machines to aid in their attack. They had a goal in mind and carried their attack out near-flawlessly. These men are dangerous.

"How long ago was this?" you ask, getting a feel for how long you have left.
"A month and a week." she says, clearly worried. "And I've not been able to contact grandfather yet."
You think to Meloka, telling her everything that's happened within a few moments, she tells you that teaching the Ctarl-Ctarl the Power Ball technique will take some time, at least another three weeks. You then turn, telling Emilia to follow you as you board your ship. You walk up to your pilots, pulling up the maps display and finding this Planet Naad.

"Six weeks." she says, reading the chart. "We can be there that soon?"
"Nine weeks." you reply, closing the map. "We still have our own business to attend to here first. We'll leave here in three weeks."
"Alright then, three weeks it is!" she exclaims, jumping up and squeezing you then walking off the ship.

Three weeks until you disembark, what will you do?

"And why would you undertake such a dangerous mission on your own?" Freeza asks, curiosity piqued. "What's in it for you?"

"If I'm being told the truth, and can save Silva, he'll quit trying to kill me." you tell Freeza. "I'm tired of looking over my shoulder for him. Plus I may find some leads as to where someone else with a grudge is hiding."
"Hmm, very well. Do as you see fit, then contact me personally for your next assignment." Freeza says. "You'd better not fall yet, Karn, We have much to discuss."
"Yes Lord Freeza. I won't fail." you say, then sever the communication.

With that done, you stand and stretch your legs, walking back off the ship and towards the station.

As you walk, you focus on Bardock, searching for his mind, and think.
"Bardock, hey its Karn. You still around?"

He then sends you a mental map of how to get to his ship, the cuts the conversation short. You follow the map, twisting and turning through the Pirates Den's confusing layout until you reach Bardock's new ship. Its an odd, asymmetrical vessel, yet it shows signs of combat with scorch marks over it in a few places. As you approach, the ramp lowers, and you see Bardock standing at the top with his arms crossed.

"So what do you want?"

"Yeah, that loud little bastard, he doesn't shut up." Bardock says, causing you to laugh. "Oh laugh it up, one day it'll happen to you."
"Nah, Chaya's quit screaming ever since Broly learned to fly." you say, watching Bardock's confusion. "Paragus' boy. He was born with a powerlevel of 10000. And he eventually taught himself to fly, floating to Chaya and she'd quit crying." "Wait, what? That's unreal." Bardock says, stunned. "He'll make a great warrior, someday. Its going to take more work for Kakarot. He was born with a powerlevel of 2."

"Two?" you ask. "Sounds like he'll have to work hard to amount to anything. Speaking of, what about you? How strong have you gotten?"
"Come see for yourself." he says, gesturing you deeper into the ship. You follow him, revealing a Gravity Chamber similar to yours. He walks to the machine, switching the gravity on to ten times Planet Vegeta's gravity. He then turns to you, dropping into his stance. You can feel his energy radiating off of him, several times stronger than yours.

"Let's see what you've got."

You take your stance, gesturing for Bardock to come at you. He's more than willing, dashing straight to you with incredible speed. However, you're ready. You're more than ready, you're trained.

Bardock rushes you, then swings down with a left. You lean back past the strike, his fist and arm passing harmlessly through the air before you. You try and counter, Bardock reacting fast enough to block your right punch aimed at his face. However, despite his speed, you're not there for his counter. After you punch, you rotate counter-clockwise around his left counter and deliver a backhand with your left hand to the side of his head, catching the Saiyan off-guard. Before he can retaliate, you twist down and forward, your right heel spinning up and into Bardock's temple. Your attack rocks him, knocking him unsteady. You then finish the combination, leaping up and twisting counterclockwise and firing an Energy Wave into his face, knocking him back into the wall of the Gravity Chamber.

He rises slowly, unfocused. You watch him gather his bearings, shaking his head and focusing on you again. You feel his power spiking, he's preparing something.

You sense his energy spiking higher and higher, this is going to hurt. You flare up your power as well, gathering your power as well to prepare a strike.

"HAAA!!" Bardock shouts, flame-like aura surrounding him as he charges at you.
"Piercing Fist!" you shout, charging as well. Your fists collide in a crash of power, shockwaves exploding out from the point of impact. His attack is strong, and would have blown you away if it'd hit. And yours would have gone through his arm, if it'd hit. Your attack pierced slightly through his, neither one reaching the other. Instead it becomes a contest of power, you each straining against each other. His power against yours, you're aware of just how outclassed you are. Before you become completely overwhelmed, you leap back, both yourself and Bardock panting heavily.

"You, haa, you've gotten better." he pants out, not dropping his stance.
"Same to you." you reply, still on-guard.

You rush towards Bardock again, determined to control the momentum of the fight. You slip past his punch, twisting and kicking him in the side of the head with your heel again. Your attack staggers him, buying you the time to twist around and punch him in the gut, winding him. Keeping the momentum you flip back and kick him in the jaw, knocking him back. You land back on your feet, launching off the ground and punching at his face. He catches the strike, and tries to punch you. Pulling you in, he tries to limit your options and prevent you from moving.

However, this isn't enough to stop the flowing style of the Su Ma. As he strikes towards your face, you lean your head to the right and midair roll your body. His punch misses you, while you bring your left knee hard into his ribs. The shock makes him release your hand, allowing you to finish your attack. You roll upward, stretching your left leg out and kicking down on his head and sending him crashing into the floor.

He doesn't immediately get up, you landing beside him worried. You hear him groan as you land, rolling onto his back.
"Damn, those were some impressive moves." Bardock says, sitting up. "Where did you learn something like that?"
"The Guardian." you say, offering him a hand up, which he accepts. "He lives on New Salda, what was known as Kashyyyk. Its the new Saiyan homeworld, you should come by some time."
"I just might." he says, unsteady on his feet. "It seems I still have a long ways to go to beat you, Super Saiyan. Anything else, or do you have other business to get to?"

You clasp forearms, nodding once, then you turn and walk from Bardock's ship. As you finish walking down the ramp, it rises up and seals behind you. You walk back into the station proper, deciding to find Meloka and learn. Following her powerlevel, you eventually come to the arena, Meloka looking exasperated.

"Hey Karn, you came!" Meloka says, life seeming to come back into her. "You want to learn the Power Ball technique, or something else?"

As she resumes the lessons with the Ctarl-Ctarl, she telepathically teaches you the Death Beam, signature move of your leader. Over the coming weeks, you perfect the move, and even develop your own, more devestating version.

"You're on." she says playfully, you both walking down to the chamber. Walking up to the display, you run over the controls, seeing it can now go up to 30x Planet Vegeta's gravity, or 15x New Salda's.

You start off slow, just at 10x Planet Vegeta's and getting acclimated to higher gravity again. Then you both crank it up over the coming weeks, eventually reaching 15x Planet Vegeta's gravity before you arrive. You and Meloka spend 8 hours a day in the room during the trip, pushing yourselves higher and higher in the super intense gravity. Sometimes sparring, sometimes working out, sometimes, well, other things, you both make exceptional progress.

"I have a better idea." you say, closing your eyes and focusing. You expand the range of your Ki Sense, feeling just how dead this planet is. You can only sense Silva's massive powerlevel on the planet, which means the brothers can suppress their powers.
"Its no good." Meloka sighs out frustrated. "They're jamming the scouters, I can't get a read."
"I found him." you say, everyone turning to you. "Just over there, at the base of that mountain."

Everyone stops, turning to look at you with varying levels of confusion.
"But, how?" Emilia finally asks you. "Your scouters are useless, how can you find him?"
"Trade secret." you reply, your pilots landing your ship expertly in a clearing in the ruins. "Alright everyone, get ready. Time to meet these Kurta brothers."

You all take your positions and observe, Emilia disembarking and walking towards the two cloaked figures. You see them toss their cloaks aside, and see that the one is at least seemingly happy to see her, acting friendly. The other simply glares hatefully, you can even feel the malice in his aura from here. You realize something's wrong, Emilia's walking back alone. This wasn't in the plan!

"What's going on?" you think at her. "You're supposed to bring them onto the ship."
"They smell a rat." she says. "They said if all three of you don't come out and talk, they'll blast the ship."

For those unfamiliar with HunterxHunter and kurapika's powers, he likely currently has the ability to boost his own strength immensely, to hide his powerlevel and presence completely, to rapidly heal even shattered limbs and to use practically unbreakable chains which can seal someone's Ki.

Ubo came from HxH, and kurapika killed him.
His ability tires him out quickly though, and karn should last longer if he stays base SS.
