We're thinking that the massacre of his squad lead to some moral degeneration, and he joined the Jashinists out of a twisted sense of survivor's guilt maybe. He claims that he intended to leave the Jashinists one day, keeping the immortality. Of course, he must know that means he'd have kept killing all his life. Now that he's been under lock-down for a while, we're sure his supernatural ability is gone. From what we can tell, Shozuku is a required element of gaining and regaining it at all. He can introduce you to it, but if you stop the killing, it's gone until he blesses you again. It's strange, fighting the prophet of an old god. Sasuke's been looking into this for so long, but there's so little information out there.."

Naruto's head hangs low, and he sighs. You wait a few moments before speaking. "Does he hate all governments, or just the stone?"

Naruto shakes his head quietly. "Even with the interrogation, it's hard to say. The stone is a lot harsher than we are, so I'm personally willing to give him a rehabilitation trial. The main reason he left was that he was being far too brutal on the battlefield, even going so far as to kill people unrelated to the mission. Being suspect was enough for him. Of course, I know this all just stems from fear for him. He claims he'll do anything to live, and I believe that much. Whether or not he'll actually absorb any sort of lesson from all this is hard to say.."

The Hokage shrugs his shoulders. "It's not like I'm acting on your word verbatum. It's good to have a more practical opinion, though. That's one thing I like about you, Takeshi. When it comes to all my advisors, they're always thinking with political agendas in mind. You just give it to me straight."

You fold your hands behind your head, stretching. "That makes sense, I guess." You glance over to one of Naruto's family photos, placed on a shelf to the side.

"How are you kids doing? I haven't seen either of them in a while."

He chuckles. "They're doing great. The progress they've been making is incredible. When you beat Boruto at the exams, I think it might have been the best thing possible for him. He's always been pretty serious about his training, but it seems he tries to approach things with a little more ... nuance than before. Himawari's the opposite. She's really starting to blossom, I think. It's not that she had a distaste for fighting, but rather, now I think she's enjoying the sport aspect of it more. She's even better than her brother when it comes to Taijutsu!"

Boruto was a pretty skilled hand to hand fighter, even if he didn't have the Byakugan himself he was still proficient in the Gentle Fist. You could see how Himawari would specialize more in that aspect.

"That's great. I'm still a little scared that one day Boruto's going to challenge me out of the blue, but I guess it would be dissapointing if he wasn't training hard. Tell them both I said, hi, yeah?"

Naruto nods. "Sure."

You bow. "Thank you for your time. Have a good day!"

He waves as you turn to exit, and you take a couple steps forward before another thought occurs to you. You look over your shoulder, glancing at Naruto with one eye. "There was one more thing. Has there been any activity from the Jashinists?"

You feel a tad bit of sweat on your finger tips. Whenever you think of Shozuku, a warm feeling starts to bubble up inside of you. It's different from the feeling when you're looking forward to a good fight, or when you're angry. It's a nervous tension.

Naruto frowns. "Unfortunately, we have heard some news. Their activity inside the Fire Nation has suddenly spiked, likely bleeding in from the neighboring Water country. Our border towns aren't doing well, and a couple larger cities have had to up security. Other than that, nothing extreme has happened. They've got a great skill for taking advantage of the poor as new recruits. It doesn't have to be a violent crime in order to distract officials, generally just by shipping drugs and weapons to an area they can begin destabilization. It's nothing short of a perfect tactic.."

Naruto gives you a thumbs up, and you smile back. "Thanks, Lord Hokage. Goodbye."

You exit the building, and find yourself at the front steps of the office which look out over the village. You've got enough time for one more activity before heading home, probably.

Mentally, you go over a quick checklist. You're stocked up on weapon's and poisons, so there's no need to go the shop. Tomorrow you'll be training with Shizune, and there's also your Acid Neutralization Jutsu to practice. Not to mention more basic Taijutsu to do with your brother and Kichiro.

He's a member of Sarasu's squad. The Jounin who's your sensei, Hanto's dad.

The other members of Sarasu's squad are Naoto, a skilled Genin who uses a katana and lightning style jutsu. Then there's Yasu, Hanto's sister. She's a physical giant who fights using a claymore, primarily.

Takkun is similar to you in that he looks fairly unassuming, and prefers to fight with weapons and water style support techniques. He's the most stealth centric of the three.

The water puddle jutsu in question is the same one from the anime/manga, in the Zabuza arc. The demon brothers who (with the chain/claw thing) who could hide/travel between puddles of water.

You decide that since you'll be training all day tomorrow, it's fine to have a little fun. Though seeing as it's a bit later in the day, most folks are probably busy helping their parents make dinner or do chores. Instead of visiting anyone specific you figure it could be interesting to walk around town and see if you spot anybody.

Strolling along through the restaurant section, you note numerous people eating at the stalls or walking around with friends consuming snacks. The smell of fried foods wafts into your nose, and you brush the beaded curtain of a small sweet shop aside and peak in.

They're making some kind of donut snack, on a stick. First the woman in the back kneads the dough into little balls, and coats it in sugar. Then she dips it in hot oil for a minute, and pulls it back out. Another helping of cinnamon sugar tops it off.

"Ohh, I'll have two, please."

The man working the counter nods. "Sure thing. Hey, I remember you from the Chunin exams! My son's not a ninja, but he's still a big fan. You can have these on the house! You brought a lotta hope to some people. It gets old watching the same families win time and time again."

You bow, a big grin on your face. "Jeez, hehe. I never thought about it like that. I was just trying my best."

A moment later, he hands you the fried donuts and you're back on your way. There's three donuts on each stick, and though they're piping hot, the center is still gooey and delicious. Nothing tastes quite as good as free food, though.

As you're going about your business, you hear a bit of commotion from a nearby alleyway. Looking in, you can see a few older kids, in their later teens, have trapped a boy your age against the wall.

Quickly, you devour the rest of your snack. This isn't what you expecting when you took a walk, but it is your job as a ninja to intervene here.

Crouching down to the ground, your footsteps are silent as you enter the alley.

You stick to the wall, careful to avoid any puddles or bits of garbage that could give away your position. The scared boy who's trapped against the wall briefly looks in your direction, but you shake your head, indicating that he shouldn't look at you. If they happened to notice him staring off, they'd probably turn around.

Now you can hear them pretty clearly. You sneak behind a garbage can, and wait patiently. "You think you can tell us what to do, just because you're a ninja?!"

The tallest one has him pinned to the wall by his shoulder, while the other two delinquents chuckle from the sidelines. The shortest one, sort of chubby, spits out a pretty mean line between mouthfuls of donuts. Apparently he stopped at the shop too. "Yeah! Where do you get off, thinkin' you can tell us not to litter? Your authority don't mean nothin' to us, see?"

The kid stammers. "B-B-But I don't have any authority! I-I'm, not saying it as a ninja, j-just, you shouldn't throw your trash on the ground like that. W-w-we've all-"

The middle sized kid steps forward. "W-W-W-We've heard this shit already, yeah? Whatever your reason is, we don't like being told what to do. It's finally payback for all those times we've gotten tied up.."

You zip forward faster than any of them can even hope to react to, and calmly steal the knife from the kid's hand after pinching his wrist between your finger and thumb. The pressure point being stressed causes his grip to loosen, and you catch the blade from his hand as it falls to the ground. You release his hand, and he backs off and rubs it.

With a flick of the wrist, you throw it down the alley. The tallest kid swings at you with a punch, but you duck under it and step to the outside. Shifting your foot, you swing it around and trip him with a soft push. The short and chubby kid rushes at you with a tackle, and you calmly side step him. Grabbing onto his wrist, you swing him around and redirect his charge into the middle-sized teen. They're knocked backwards, and trip over the tall kid who was in the middle of getting up. The pile of boys scramble to regain their footing, but before they can react, you've tied them all up with a quick use of your wire. The stammering boy looks up at you with shock. "Y-You, that was, I couldn't see.."

You salute him, and chuckle. "Keep training and you'll be able to do things like this with no problem! You alright?"

He nods frantically. "Good." you say. "I'll leave it up to you whether or not you want them to face punishment. I'm sure another ninja is around here somewhere, and they won't be leaving any time soon. Later!"

You dash away, putting your trust in the younger boy. As you exit the alley, you see another type of commotion forming down the street. Shockingly enough, you can see Kichiro arguing with someone much taller, and more physically imposing than him.

Yasu is grinning at your friend, smugly. He barks angrily. "What'd you say!? That's bullshit and you know it, he's nothing like that at all!!"

You rush over as quickly as you can, pushing through the small crowd forming around them. "Guys, guys! What's going on here? Why are you yelling?"

Yasu crosses her arms. "The little hothead here can't deal with the fact that Hanto is a piece of scum. Learning to fight from him makes him one too, right?"

The words sting you. Something must be in the air tonight that's making people seek conflict. Your brow furrows. "Why would you say something like that? He's your brother."

She scoffs, and turns her nose up. "He's a drunk with too much power for his own good.

Kichiro steps forward, intent on attacking. You slide in between them and hold him at arm's length apart.

My uncle has a first degree black belt, I take lessons from him.

From the punches he's taught me, TKD's straight punches are on par with boxing in a lot of ways. More practical in a street fight even. TKD stance lets you stay farther away from your opponent's main hand, and the vertical fisted punches are less likely to damage your own hand.

Boxing's stance is totally squared up. You'd have to be super careful of any hooks, but you could probably pick them apart from afar with counters (like he does to me) unless you got cornered.

If I was better I could probably fight him with straight punches but he's so above me in that regard I'm kind of developing a natural infighter's pace of always wanting to land hooks

You stand in silence, a bit stunned. That was what you were going to tell him.

My take on Takeshi as it stands.
Kinda rough, but I think it turned out okay.

I busted out the rulers and checked the proportions against model sheets for younger characters the same age as Takeshi and everything seemed to line up okay.
That said, I probably could have made the head a tad bigger.

In case anyone was wondering, the original consensus on Takeshi was that he basically looks like Young Aizen, who is in all honesty just a very plain looking guy.
Until his reveal as the big bad.
The thing I'm most excited for in this quest is for our boy to finally "slick his hair back" and be the cool motherfucking beast we know he's destined to be.

I don't, unfortunately. I based his physical description off of a character I imagined via ripping off an image of an anime boy that was on photobucket. I managed to find that photobucket, but sure enough it was gone.

His spiky hair is usually slicked back a little bit though, so he looks a little hedge-hoggy

Physically that picture of Kamina isn't far off, in terms of build. The jawline isn't as pointy though, it's more square and stocky.

Alright, take two.
I'm personally a fan of girls with thick eyebrows, but I can understand that it's not really in line with the character.
Fixed her hair to make her look more girly, but not too much so. Ai is FAR from a delicate girly girl after all.
As for the outfit, I think it fits considering her post-timeskip look, but if you have any specific changes you want to see let me know.
