You are Ushi Walker, the half-japanese/half-american wielder of the mighty quirk “Everything is Bigger in Texas", U.A High first year student and victor of your trial of battle, and right now you are enjoying some hot cocoa and sharing a huge blanket with Shoto, Mineta, Tokoyami… and Dark Shadow.
Who is apparently his own guy for the most part, and likes his name.

The four, sort of five, of you are lined up with your backs to the far wall, standing with as much seriousness four teenagers and a shadowbird covered up to their necks in a single giant blanket and nursing steaming white mugs can muster… It's not that much.

But Tokoyami, Mineta and you stand with your chins up and flaring pride, despite your injuries.
Shoto just stands as Shoto does.

You are a bit better now than you were a few minutes ago, although you are still sleepy, sore, and a bit chilly, but Shoto has turned your blanket into a mobile kotatsu, so that last one isn't that much of a problem.

"Gather around everybody, for the critique of this match" All Might says, standing in the middle of the room. "A much more ...balanced match than our first one."

The other fifteen students gather around All Might, looking at your group with interest, curiosity, and or respect.

Except for Daisy. But fuck his explosion rattled opinion.

"Now!.. Young Yaoyorozu, please lower your hand." All Might says, and you can see Yaoyorozu sheepishly lowering her hand.

"Before I say who I think was the Most Valuable Player of the match and we move on to your peer's critics, let me ask you as the combatants who of you turned the tides of the battle the most." He says, then reassures you. "Don't hurry, you have a few minutes to think about your answer."

>"I guess that without Midoriya it wouldn't have been fair to ask last match." Iida says

"Young Todoroki? Who do you think would be this match's Most Valuable Player? Take your t-!" All Might asks, being interrupted by Shoto.

>"Walker. In this match, her effectiveness would only have improved with any other companion, but she managed to pull her weight and that of Mineta, using him as another tool to bear against us. Her foresight and preparation make her my pick." He says, without hesitating or stopping to think.
"...huh." All Might says, slightly stunned. "A well explained pick, young Todoroki. How about you, young Mineta?"
>"Well… I'll have to give it to Tokoyami. His dark room would have ended us if not for… Well, some items that..." He looks at you and shrugs. "I'm not entirely sure how we won, actually. But Tokoyami held us at bay almost till the end of the timer, and knew what to do. So yeah. Tokoyami."
"Tactics, intel and a good quirk match-up brought young Tokoyami into the limelight, yes." All Might nods. "Young Tokoyami?"
>"... I must hand it to Mineta. For it was scheming, misdirection, cloaks and daggers that won this match, not honorable face to face combat." He finishes with a grunt.
>>
"Last, but not least by any stretch, young Walker, who do you think was the Most Valuable Player of the exercise?" Japan's Nº1 Hero asks you.

>What do you do?

>[Shoto, his traps and set up for Tokoyami's last stand make him the source of every problem you faced.]
>[Tokoyami, his quirk hard countered yours, and fighting him in his arena would have been a sure defeat if you had stuck to a mano-a-mano.]
>[Mineta, if he can keep eyes and hands to the goal at hand, turns out to be a valuable asset. He found some of the traps, and you are sure the fights with Shoto and Tokoyami would have been mighty different without his back up.]
>[Yourself, you got you to the roof, faced Shoto and Tokoyami and carried Mineta when he couldn't walk no more.]

While it's true that Mineta clutched it out in the end and was a valuable asset throughout, the fact of the matter is that Tokoyami went 2v1 one with team Walker and almost beat us down. That's impressive.

Shoto doesn't really qualify, honestly. He got punked too early. And we obviously can't pick ourselves. We were kinda dumb and made some bad calls and also we'd just look egotistical.

>It would have been Shoto, but he split off from Tokoyami and let us pick 2v1 fights. Instead, it was Mineta. He was crucial in breaking in, blindsiding Shoto, fighting Tokoyami, and had the foresight to keep capture tape, which he used despite having his legs recently frozen.

You are still dizzy after Dark Shadow went to town on your skull so you take a second to gather your ideas… then another fifty nine.

>"Get on with it!" Daisy breaks the silence with a shout.

"Calm down, young Bakugo." All Might motions at him. "I just told them there's no pressure."

"Mineta's quirk… is a powerful one." You explain rather slowly. "If. IF it lands. I don't think I saw them un-stick to anything during the whole exercise... Maybe you too would be in trouble if he gets a hit in, All Might!" You tell the paragon of justice.

"Could be…" He replies. "So you too think Mineta is the right choice?"

"I'm nowhere near done, teacher." You say, trying to be or at least sound respectful. "If he got a faster way to get 'em where he needs them, he'd be set… That and keepin' hands and eyes on the ride."

You hand your mug to Dark Shadow and bring your palms together, weaving your fingers and leaving your indexes out, using them to tap your lips as you think.

"Shoto… Basically everything that hurt or slowed us I reckon was Shoto's work... But he came to a team fight alone, and I'm sure you all noticed, but Shoto, Fumikage- Can I call you Fumikage, right?- and I are pretty strong" You say, making an effort to not brag. Considering you aren't being glared at, you guess it works.

Some of your classmates nod and you feel relieved.

"And if we are roughly in the same league, then any back up would have made all the difference in the world. Mineta got us the gold in there."

"And Fumikage got to smack me harder than any one person has ever done, but… no. Wait. Dark Shadow got to play patty cake on my skull. Fumikage did that cool thing with the cloak but didn't do much himself. You are two-in-one! Own it! Get a katana or something with enough edge for you and join the melee! Or a gun... or something. Just don't stand idle or just dodging and use your hands. And get something to eat, that was disturbing."

With that you finish your analysis and return your hands to your hips.

"There. Now I'm done. If you ask me about myself, I'll just tell you I'm great so that's someone else's job." You accentuate this by picking up your mug and taking a sip. Water ain't that bad when you really want some cocoa.

"Very… Eloquent." All Might kinda sorta compliments your rambling. "But I agree. Many heroes choose to retreat and switch out when an unfavorable matchup villain comes their way. And there is nothing wrong with that most of the time, but when lives are on the line, or a nuclear device is being rigged, you are expected to punch above your weight class, to do what you can to save as many as you can without causing further problems.

He then crouches and levels his eyes with Mineta.
>>
"And you, young Mineta.." He tells him with his words and smile. "Just punched above your weight for a knock out! <Good Job!>"

>"T-thank you All Might!" Mineta says giving him a shaky thumbs up and tearing up.

All Might then stands up and turns to the rest of the class, but Mineta turns towards you.

>"D-did I do good, Walker?" He says softly and pathetically, starting the waterworks. ...Far too pathetically for it to be real.

"Better than this for sure. I'm not crouching, bending over or whatever you want me to do. Get a hold of your thirst, man." You whisper his way.

It's almost magical how fast his tears dry up and his expression settles into grumpy.

"Now it's time for the critic of your classmates!" All Might says, looking for any raised hands. "No one? How about you, young Yaoyorozu?"

>"Oh? No, no, no. I have nothing more, Walker said everything I would have said, even if she did in a far more prosaic language." She says.

"If that's the case, then let's move on to the next match. Great work, boys and girl." All Might says. "You can return with the rest of the class now."

>"I grant you that I lost the bet… but I don't get anything for winning? Not a.squeeze? Not even a pat?" Mineta asks you with surprising bluntness.

>"If this is usual, then I'm not sure how you tolerated him the whole exercise, Ushi." Fumikage tells you, as Dark Shadow floats besides him, enjoying it's own mug.

>"You do not have to do anything you do not want to do, Ushi. Not yet." Shoto reassures you.

Not that anyone could get you to do anything you don't want to do, anyways.

"Now, for the next match..." All Might says, fishing two new lotto balls from the boxes.

"As our heroes we have... Team B" All Might announces, holding the white sphere up for all to see.

>"Alright!" Ashido cheers. "This is perfect for us!"
Shoji just nods.
>"Give 'em hell Pinks!" Kirishima cheers, raising his fists high in the air.

"And… Team J as the villains!" The hero finishes, raising the gray ball with the letter J.

You can't help but chuckle at the coincidence. This must be awk-ward~

>"..." He looks at her, surprised.

Here comes the blushing, the stupid lines and flailing!
Someone else's time to be an awkward mess!

>"Well then! I rock at defense, so do your worst Ashido, you too Shoji!" Kirishima tells his foes with a smile, before turning towards his sparkling teammate. "Hey, Aoyama! Let go sketch something up."
>"Don't go soft on me Kirishima!" Ashido says smirking. "We'll get 'em, Shoji."

"Wha?" Have teen drama movies been lying to you?
>"Is something the matter?" Fumikage asks you.
"It's not fair..." You lament.
>"Yeah, sure." Mineta snarks. "Tell me about it."

You sigh. Well, maybe you can talk some sense into him.

"Grapes, yer lucky I'm used to the catcallin' and othersuch of American school boys. Heck I even like the attention!" You say, polishing your nails on your shirt a few times, causing a small bounce each time. Can't let the wear splinter them. "But let me give you some advice. You don't need to try so hard. >"..." He keeps looking up at you, without saying anything.
"...Houston to moon, you still there buddy?"
>"...Thanks. I needed that." He replies.
"Anytime." You say, giving him a smile before turning to look at the screens.

Their building is not like the one your or Deku's match took place, but a simple and small 3 stories tall apartment building, the kind don't have elevators and no matter which side you are looking at it from, has its facade crumbling on the far side.

And Kirishima… moved the nuke… to the roof?
---
>"Are you sure about this, Aoyama?"
>"Quite sure, monsieur Kirishima." The blonde starts explaining. "We have the range and visual advantage here."
>"...And only one way in!" Kirishima says crashing his angular fists. "They try climbing, and you shoot them down. They take the stairs and I'll keep them down. Great!
---
>"Here." Shoji whispers, tracing a smallish circle in the ceiling with an arm as two other ear tipped ones spin and twitch pointing up. "Be careful, we can't damage the warhead."

He lowers his other three arms to the ground.

>"Right!" Ashido whispers back, grabbing to Shoji's arms and letting herself be lifted. "...Sorry about your shoes."
>"Things come and go." He says sparing a glance at his half melted boots. "But we needed the soft ground for this to work."

She just slaps the thing.

>"Aw man! Not even a single hit in!" Kirishima complains as he enters the room.

>"As far as defeat goes, the best is to take it gracefully." Aoyama assures.

>"It wasn't a bad plan." Shoji explains calmly. "You covered every sensible route."

>"It's just that, you know." Ashido says, her tone and expression getting more and more smug by the syllable. "Ours was better."

"Backs to the wall, please!" All Might asks of the four… Combatants? Is it fair to call them that? "After a match of might and one of teams, can anyone tell me what this one was about?.. Anyone besides Young Yaoyorozu?"

You would like to raise your hand and throw your hat in, but you don't really have anything to say.

You kinda looked away for one second and then it was ending.

Beyond Yaoyorozu, everyone is just shrugging.

"...Young Yaoyorozu?" He asks after half a minute of uncomfortable staring.

>"Intel. This tactic would have worked even against Todoroki's ice shell, but it's only viable with accurate information of where the target is located." She says.

"Well said! So, who would you think would be the MVP this time, boys and girls?"

Everyone points at the tall and masked student, but only one person vocalizes it.

"Shoji!" Yeah, you.

"And why would that be, mhh?" The teacher asks you in particular.

"Ehm… Octopi are… cool and… and..." Try as you might, you don't really have anything to say...

>"His ear-arms, he gathered the info in minutes." Mineta whispers, tugging a bit at your vest.

"...He collected the intel after all! Anyone else could have digged the hole, more or less loudly, but he was the tactic's pilar!" You half repeat, half invent on the fly.

"Exactly. A surgical strike if you are stealthy or a full on blitz if you rely more on sheer power are quite often one of the most efficient ways to subdue a threat... if you know it's weaknesses." Japan's second most American looking hero explains. "In standard dispatches you will count with the police's investigations and the villains' quirk registration information if It's available. But in emergency dispatches or in case of a sudden crisis, your ability to quickly assess the situation could be the difference between crisis and tragedy."

"Young Shoji, despite possessing impressive physical strength and counting with young Ashido's talents, your team archieved victory without trading a single blow. Well done, MVP."

>"Thank you, teacher." He says, bowing.

As soon as All Might turns back to the lotto boxes, you turn to Mineta.

"Thanks for the save, again." You tell him honestly.

>"Anytime…"

"..?" You hum and motion up with your hand, wanting him to make him speak up his mind."

.
>>
>"Nothing." He says, then continues a second later. "Just thinking that you and Shoji would make a great reenactment of The Dream of the Fisherman's Wife. I'd hang it on my bedroom."

"Is that a painting or something?" You ask, a bit confused.

>"It is one of the most recognizable pieces of artwork in japanese history." Shoto clarifies.

"...Aw… Thanks little guy." No idea about ancient japanese art, but it's nice to see he can compliment without skirting sexual harassment charges.

>"... This is wrong." Fumikage says for some reason.

>"Then tell her, fluffy boy." Dark Shadow replies to him.

>"...Nah. She'll find out, and he is right anyway."

>"Beyond the lack of a second octopus, it would only need minor adjustments. Hair color, horns and probably the dialogue would change." Shoto explains. "A modern photorealistic approach would improve it… A solid buy.

You are about to ask him about the octopus when All Might announces the next match.

"This time our heroes will be... Team G!" All Might shouts. "Against the villains of… Team I!"

Jiro and Kaminari against Sero and Hagakure…

Jiro has her jacks, Hagakure accumulates indecent exposure fines and Sero tapes…

No idea of what Kaminari does, really.

The problem with that idea is that you wind up with the Dragonball problem. That is, all encounters come down entirely to whose numbers are bigger. If an opponent has bigger numbers than you, in a system with no element of luck, you lose. Plain and simple. It becomes impossible for a character to punch above their weight class, except by making THEIR numbers bigger. Which means they're not really punching above their weight class at all.
>>
>>2048626
But this system has that, it’s number of dice used for each roll relates to the skill of trait being used. More skill= more dice and a higher probability of matches. You just sound like you’re bitching cause Ushi’s a starting character and some of her skills aren’t developed.

As Sero spends his prep time covering almost every corner of the warhead's room and then the rest of the of their building in tape, you see that he walks around showing certain parts of his web of to Hagakure. Or maybe he is talking alone.

Hard to tell with the gal deciding to forgo her costume for her birthday suit.

But you can see why. They aren't touching the floor anymore. Sero's web of tape forms a shaky canopy about a foot above the floor, allowing them, and the paper mache device of mass destruction, to remain off the ground and safe from any and all attempts at repeating last match's precision strike. You also note how by the end of his set up his arms started twitching until he crossed his arms and started rubbing his elbows.

With the prep time ticking down, you let yourself be distracted by the people around you.
A pink gal and the sharp boy by her side catch you eye.

>"...movie?" Ashido suggests him.
>"We'd have to make a stop then." He counters
>"No need for that, I've got this!" She says. "Maybe not the best overall, but..."
>"...You carry a copy of Aliens at all times, don't you?" He sighs.
>"Nah, that'd be dumb." She waves him off "...It's the entire digital collection."
>"Aha." He deadpans.
>"Relax, with a scary movie in the dark of the night is how I'll salvage this. I guarantee at least a hug."
"Ashido! Hey! Over here!" You shout, not letting Kirishima reply. "Got a winner's seat and mug with yer name innit!"
>"Awesome!" She says, then turns back to the redhead. "See? Everything falls into place!"

She reaches your blanketed corner and with a tap and a small shake, the blanket is big enough for the six of you. You pour her a mug of cocoa and she… pats your head?

>"Aw… Thanks!" She says, snuggling close to you. Her collar is soft and even fluffier than it looks. "Man this is relaxing."
"Yeah..." You are being leaned on by Mina on one side and Shoto on the other, with the blanket keeping a nice all encompassing warmth."The best."
>"Sure looks comfy..." Kirishima says, clearly hoping for an invitation.
>"Sorry buddy, Winners and cool chicks only." Ashido says, sticking out her tongue.
"And sapient dark spirits and their dark associates." You say, high fiving Dark Shadow.
>"...What about me?" Shoto asks you.
"Right now, you are infrastructure." You say, reaching over and giving him a pat on the back. "We couldn't do this without you."
>"Truly preferable to the rest of the room..." Fumikage says.
>"He means thank you, but it's too much of a wuss to admit he was freezing without his cloak." Dark Shadow stage whispers, causing Fumikage to sigh.
>"Yeah man." Mineta gives him a thumbs up. "Keep up the good job. And the A.C."
>"Thank you all." Shoto says before sipping more from his mug.
"So better luck next time." You dismiss Kirishima.
>"Don't worry, I told you I've got this." She says. "Now move, you are in the way of the screens."

He slumps his shoulders and walks away. You kind of feel bad about the guy.
>>
But he still should have kept his hands to himself.
Still hasn't apologized…
Maybe he did do it on purpose!
You'll have to be on the lookout for skirt flips, phone cameras…-

>"He's a nice guy, you know?" Ashido says suddenly, snapping you back to reality.
"Red, sharp and touchy over there?" You motion at the boy in the particularly nonsensical costume.
>"Yeah, Eiji does his best all the time." She says, then shrugs. "Doesn't mean he always gets it. Sorry for that, I gave him an earful for it later though."
"I try to believe he really didn't mean he did." You tell her. No reason to assume the worst of people, right?
>"Of course he didn't. Too 'honorable' to try anything." She says, making quotation marks in the air with her fingers. "Want to join us for a movie night?"
"...What?" What? "What does that have to do with anything?"
>"He wants to make it up to you, so you get an apology and free dinner and he gets to apologize!" Ashido says, chugging her mug in one sitting.
"And you?.."
>"Free dinner and a good time with my horn buddies!" She says, throwing an arm around your neck. "Think about it!"
"We are friends now?" Kind of a rude question… but that was fast. And kind of one sided.
>"Weird, isn't it?" Fumikage asks you, but you get the feeling he isn't looking for an answer.
"I'll think about it." You answer, turning back to the screens.

It looks like Jiro and Kaminari have spent close to ten minutes doing nothing but fight against miles of miles of tape, and both of them look like they want to rip Sero to ribbons pulling bits and pieces of tape from their hair and clothes.

… This looks like it's only a few bleeding wounds away from what the old tapes say 'nam was like.

It looks like Jiro plans to replicate last matches winning tactic or at least something similar, as she goes poking the walls and ceiling of the office themed building with her jacks until she zeroes on the room Sero set the thickest part of his trap. The Nuke Room.

Without audio you can't tell what are they screaming about, but Jiro is shouting at Kaminari and as he rages at the ceiling.

"Wha-"

Then Jiro dives for cover and the cameras shit the bed for a full minute.

"Again, Wha?" You ask hoping someone can tell what's going on.
>"All the cameras in the building got hit by a power surge." Shoto states. "It must be Kaminari's quirk."

"Well… It seems I must be present to evaluate this match. " All Might says, scratching the back of his neck. "I'll be here again in a few minutes!..

He then dashes out the building.
… before poking his head back in.

"...Uhm... Make use of this time to discuss what you've learned so far!" He orders you all before running off again.

"So far, Sero has done the most." You say, trying to obey the teacher. "He put some serious effort into making the place a nightmare."
>>
>"I think you know how little that matters in the end, Ushi." Shoto says. "It is, after all, about touching or not the warhead, or whether you manage to capture the enemy team or not."
>"I mean, we are meant to give feedback, right?" Ashido asks. "I think effort comes into play too. Flukes are no good here."

After a few minutes of discussion. All Might comes back with this matches combatants.

They are far too scorched and red for anyone to have gone without a fight.
At least Sero looks that way, Jiro is looks grumpy and Kaminari looks…
Like an NPC.

But where's Hagakure… After a second of pondering that dilemma and seeing Sero's odd arm positioning you come to the conclusion that she is getting a piggyback ride from Sero.

That explains his face, then.

>"Lucky bastard." Mineta says. Oh well. Rome and days and all that.

"Young heroes..." All Might says, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Please, explain to your classmates what happened after young Kaminari decided to and I quote 'flip out and light up the place'?'"
>"Wey…" Kaminari… says? is that a word?
"Not you, young Kaminari." All Might tells him. "You should just rest for now,"
>"The tape caught the attack." Sero says.
>"We didn't really feel it." Hagakure says. "I think it went through the cabling."
>"Then dofus over here was actually useful and baited the villains out by crashing into even more tape and making a lot of noise." Jiro explains.

"And..?" All Might asks, a bit more forcefully.

>"... I blasted the three of them into the tape, then went for the nuke." She says, shrugging. "It's as much of a win as the first team's right?"

"Anything you may want to add before I give out the Most Valuable Player?" All Might asks.
>"I'm sorry it had to end that way, but I don't regret losing a companion to stop a nuclear weapon." She says, then looks at Yaoyorozu. "I would have done the same if it had been a real nuke."

its a hero's job to go beyond simple trades, youd o better than that. if we're just wanting equivalent exchange the government would just airstrike the building to deal with the villains and nuke. Or they'd just send in everyone available.
Your meant to be a hero out there to save everyone, aim high. Dont already go in there saying losses are acceptable, thats Villain thinking. A heroic sacrifice is one thing but using your comrade as a pawn is another.

>>
It may have been cold.
It may have been the right choice.
You get the feeling that 'this kind of question' means 'the hard ones'.
You don't know what to say, so you say nothing about it.
It's not something that happened to you, and you hope it stays that way.

"...So be it." All Might. "Just try to have answer when the time comes. No answer is the only wrong choice if you find yourself in such a situation."

"Young Sero. Step forwards, MVP." The hero calls him.

Sero seems to be the only one surprised by this. Even Jiro seems to approve of the choice.

>"Me? I just did my one trick." He says, lowering Hagakure and clawing at his sick helmet. "Kinda overdid it, too. A hand, please?"

The helmet floats up and to the side…
>"There you go."

Man, he looks like shit.
Sunken eyes, cracked lips and his trademark grin looks too close to a
>"Thanks Hagakure." He says, slumping his shoulders.
"You act like all you did was filling the building in tape." All Might says, making it sound like a question.
>"...ain't that what I did?" He asks.
>"The platform, Sero." Hagakure reminds him.
>"That? That… was just a… precaution." He says taking a few moments to think. "Didn't think it would come up…"
"So far you two are the only team that has both lost and achieved a capture. Don't over extend that much again, and trust more on your companions… She didn't really need that, did she? And you got the other team to despair before even engaging. Truly a villains lair. <Great job!>" The huge hero gives teen a thumbs up. "Now take a seat, rest and rest."
>"Right. Thanks All Might." Sero says with a smile. "She asked for it though."

"He doesn't look well." You say. "Rather the opposite, like he was put through the wringer."
>"I guess this is why this class is the last of the day. He looks like he could use a nap" Ahido says. "I hope he doesn't fall asleep on the train."
>"Tsk… Nothing good comes from overusing your quirk." Dark Shadow says crossing his claws over his chest. "Trust me, I'd know."

Passing out is no fun. Eating a lot… Well, that is fun only because your own quirk makes a 1$ burger a meal for as many as you want. Usually just you though.

"About that..." You start. It's a rather weird question, after all. "How's it like to be a quirk anyway? What do you when you are inside Fumikage? You are like, the first one I know that can talk."
>"Nah, you just don't know how to listen. Shut up for a sec." He says leaning forwards towards you.

You all stay quiet for a few second before your your gut makes a bubbling sound.
You try to not blush.

You are still happy that you don't have to chew cud, but digesting cellulose has never been without its consequences. You weren't really thinking back there.

>"Well said, Texas." Dark Shadow says, nodding.
>"Woah." Ashido says then asks excitedly. "What did it say!? What did it say!?"
"That you are far too gullible. Of course I'm the only talking quirk you know, I'm the best." He says.

"So? How's it?" You ask.
>"...Having your very existence tied to someone else's… being called out only to fight and chores… Would it be too hard to give a heads up when there's something good on T.V?" He says "My turn now. Does your quirk actually has the word texas in it's name? I just took a stab in the dark with the costume."
"Everything is Bigger in Texas." You tell him the name of your quirk. "Big and fittin'. And what do you do in there?"

>"Been awhile since I had to punch someone my size in the dark." The shadowbird says, then replies. "Hm… I can't get away from fluff-face, so I can't actually do anything but sit inside inside in the dark of his soul and watch memories in my screen. At least is dark and void in there… Oh, right, I also write some dreams, I'm sure I can transcribe some if you want to see."
>"They are terrible." Fumikage says.
"Don't diss him!" You say, throwing your arm around the quirk-bird. It feels really weird.
>"They are literally nightmares." Fumikage points out "And based on my life."
"At least they aren't boring-GH!" You say, getting the air squeezed out of your lungs.
>"I like this one, can we keep her?" The shadow says, hugging you tightly. "I'll take her out to graze and everything. I even have a place in mind to tie her in the backyard!"

"No! Put me down. Please put me down!" You say, trying to not scream. You don't have enough red flags for this.

>"You can't do that-" Fumikage scolds him.
>"Anything past fuzzy cuffs is too far!" Mineta interferes.
"Yeah!" You yell, being swung side to side like a plushie by Dark Shadow.
>"You can't get away from me, remember?" Fumikage says. "And I'm not going for walks."
"Wrong reasons, but thanks!" It's good to know that slavery is too bothersome to try.
>"People do not seem to understand that you a person with heifer-like mutations, not the other way around." Shoto points out.
"Thank you?" You say, feeling the pressure. "Now, can anyone get him to lower me-e? He's starting to squeeze the stuffing out of me."
>"Dark Shadow, release her." Fumikage orders him.
>"I don't want to." His own quirk replies.
>"Fine." Fumikage just digs out his phone. "Walker, smile."

You barely have time to do it before a barrage of flashes come your way.

>"Ow! Okay! Uncle! I give up!" Dark Shadow says, retreating sobbing into the blanket's shadow. "That wasn't needed."
"What was that?" You ask, the dizziness coming back. "I thought we were friends?"
>"Sure!" Dark Shadow replies. "I like you!"
>"Dark Shadow doesn't do 'friendship'" Fumikage explains, "Or morals. Or other's desires. It's a chatty monster, but a monster nonetheless."

Hm…
"No social awareness or regard for other, spends it's time sitting in the dark watching other's lives and writing fiction about it." You say, cataloguing your thoughts. "He is like a basement dweller in your soul." You finish with a straight face

>"It's worse, actually. This guy doesn't have internet access..." Dark Shadow says meekly, twiddling his thumbs. "Can't even bring magazines or minis. It's absolute boredom."

A second later, and much to your confusion, Ashido starts laughing and Mineta starts snickering.

>"Pff…" Fumikage's stoicism looks like it's about to explode from containing his laughter. "T-that, I'll remember that one."

You tilt your head and ask "What?"
Instead of an answer, you get a hug, more fluffy collar and head pats.
There's been far too much Ushi touching this last few minutes.

>"Is… is she always like this?" Ashido asks.
>"Like what?" Shoto asks.
>"I dunno. Spontaneous?.."
"Kinda!" You answer, but she keeps talking.
>"...Adorable?"
"I can be fearsome too!" You say, and it's true. You are pretty sure you could take out a city block in minutes.
>"No." Shoto replies after a few seconds of deliberation. "I know her to be more 'flirty' and excited about everything. Being adorable is new."
"Hello? I'm… I'm here too?" You try to be part of the conversation as something other than its subject… It doesn't really work.
>"Basement dwellers can be cool too, right?" Dark Shadow asks you suddenly.
"Sure. If they don't try abduction and slavery." You snark at the quirk.
>"What? Oh no! You got it all wrong!" He explains. "I wanted you as a pet. There wouldn't have been any work. Offer still open~"
>"Yeah right, not slavery. Imagine you get tired of me.Then what?" You ask the monsterbird, trying to see it follow your rationale.
>"That wouldn't happen! She is petting you right now!" Dark Shadow says, motioning at you.
... Daaamn… He's right. You are being petted on more than one way. You gotta assert yourself. Person, not pet.
"You avoided the question?~" You pester him.
>"Fine." The shadow says. "Then we'd watch the b-" He is then rubberbanded back into Fumikage… Not what you expected.
>"ENOUGH!" Fumikage almost shouts. "I apologize for that… I should have pulled him back right after the exercise." He ends with a half bow.
"...When is All Might announcing the next match anyway?" You ask, shimmying a few feet away from Ashido and trying to change the subject.
>"Did so already, Walker." Mineta tells you immediately. "With only two teams left he just flipped a coin. It's Yaoyorozu and Sato as villains against Asui and Koda."
"That was fast." You expected more fanfare for the last match of the day, not something to ignore accidentally…

Then again, that might explain why All Might didn't interfere when Dark Shadow decided to guess what are your guts made of by the sound they make when shaken.

>"I was near, waiting to see if you two got beyond cuddling."
"I meant the match." You glare at him, but he just shrugs.

>"Yaoyorozu just finished locking herself inside the room with the nuke." He tells you, pointing at the screens.

Yaoyorozu is proudly standing on the room alone, and you can see why.
Every window and the door were barred with metal bars as wide as her forearms, and the warhead is hanging from the ceiling, held by a rope thrown over a beam.
It would have been impressive if you didn't know the nuke weighs about twenty pounds.

"Wait. She really locked herself in alone?" You ask, a bit surprised. "Sato will be out there alone!"
>"She did spend half her time going over what's in that sack, though." Mineta says. "So she didn't just ditch him."
>"I guess she will win if she waits it out." Ashido suggests, inching closer. "He looks like he could take on Asui and Koda."
"Not really a thrilling match to watch then." You say, inching away. "But we can't really skip it."

You were wrong.
Oh so wrong.

"Pff... Holy cow. They are still running!" You say.
>"They got worn down by the traps." Mineta comments. "And now Sato, still fresh, is chasing them. I can't blame them for running."
>"Just what left them like that?" Ashido asks. "No, really, what did Yaoyorozu give him."
"That we've seen so far?" You didn't think you would have needed a notebook for this, but thanks to your handy belt, it wasn't particularly hard to get one. "Lemme check… "

You flip it open and show her page one and two, the first one being a colored doodle of Sato pouring spiky things down a flight of stairs out of the brown sack Yaoyorozu gave him. The second page is Koda slipping on a puddle in the middle of the stairs and Sato giving a thumbs up from the top.

"First the caltrops and whatever the slippery stuff in the bottle was. That ruined the staircase from the first to second floor"
>"...I don't get it"
"Try read from left to right."
>"Oh. Did you make the puddle with glitter?" She asks you, an eyebrow raised.
"No." You tell her the truth, waving one of your shiny pens. "This one is just gel."

Glitter is for special stuff.

>"Oh. What else?" Ashido asks. "I... get distracted rather fast."

You then turn the page.
The next doodle is Sato setting up plates on the floor with a rolled up rug besides him, you also left a big question mark next to the plates.
Page four is Asui with spiral eyes and arms stretched out and Koda covering his rocky face.

"Next came the mines. I think.." You say tapping the question mark. "Hard to tell for sure with the lack of sound and what not, but I reckon those were noise mines of some sort."
>"So THAT was that. Asui just took to the walls from then on, didn't she?"
"'yuup. That takes us to this one."

You flip the pages again.

Pages five and six are a double pager on how Asui pulled Koda over a tripwire ridden room with her tongue. You left a corner to draw Sato fuming.

"That's what I have." You say, closing the notebook.
>"Then they got to the nuke room and Sato activated his quirk." Mineta notes.
"Thus the yakety sax chase." You finish.
>>

We need to hang out with Sato some time.

The screens show Sato bulldozing through whatever Asui is able to throw at him, cheap chairs, a door, a desk...
And a few walls that got in his way. It was awesome.
After about three to four minutes however, Sato started getting slow and didn't seem to notice that Koda separated himself from Asui, who kept leaping just out of arm's reach.

"This is so obviously a trap that I'm not sure how is he even falling for it!" You comment throwing your arms up.
>"It won't really matter." Mineta tells you. "Between the traps and chase, they will run out of time before they can't open the room"
>"Would Sato be able to punch the room open?" Ashido ask, pointing at the screens.
"COME ON!! WHAT ARE YOU A GIMMICKY BOSS!?" You yell at the screens, not unlike Pa yells at the T.V. during Super Bowl.

Asui stops on the door of the Nuke Room and this time waits until Sato is right about to connect to drop flat to the floor. Seeing the hole, Yaoyorozu runs to hide, pressing her back against the wall looking at the hole while Sato stands there shaking his his hand…

Hang on.

"...Well, slap my ass and call me Betsy." You say, standing on your knees to get a better view. "They played like a fiddle.."

>"Ow." You hear Ashido complain for some reason.

He's not 'shaking his hand'. His hand moves really fast, but to you and his teammate, he is clearly counting down in front of the hole he punched.
Yaoyorozu gives a subtle nod as she presses her back against the wall next to the door, making a tugging motion with her hand.
"Five, four..." You follow the count out loud.
You don't get any feedback, but a chill wind entering your shirt from below. Something to investigate later.

Then Sato gets smacked upside the head with a metallic shelf, courtesy of Koda, who looks like he would rather be anywhere else.

"...three, two…"

He continues 'shaking his hand', slowly making a fist and turning to glare at Koda.
Yaoyorozu, for her part, is following the count by tapping her wrist.

"...one and!" You finish your countdown, eager to see what were they planning.

Koda smacks the bent shelf against Sato's head again, and the later drops flat to the ground.
Then Koda starts bowing in an apologetic manner in front of him and Asui crouches next to him to wrap the capture tape around his arm.

"C'mon. That can't be it..." You say, a tad frustrated. Battles aren't allowed to have build ups leading to nowhere!

>"...I didn't think Koda had it in him to do that." Ashido says as Asui stands back up.

She seems to take a few seconds to reassure Koda.

"Well, he had to get through the entrance exam somehow." You say, shrugging a bit.
>"And he is huge. Makes sense -Hng!- he'd have some sort of strength enhancing quirk, right?" Ashido completes, grunting in the middle of the sentence for some reason.
>>
>>2057914
Fuck what have we done this time.
>>
"I'm sure... that's not how it works." You say, mulling it over a bit and refusing to take your eyes off the screens. "If it was that simple he would have taken on Sato head on… Now that I think about I can't recall hearing him talk about his quirk."

Or at all...
And isn't that a mouth on his costume's chest?..
You are missing the specifics, but you could bet it's mouth related.
That is a peculiar jaw, after all.

>"If it's not that, then he is not using it at all." Mineta points out. "But he did bend that thing against Sato, so he isn't useless."
>"Yaoyorozu may have made the actual traps, but I'm giving the MVP to Sato." Ashido says. "Or maybe -this is taking too long!- Asui or Koda. They are trying!!"
>"MVP means you must kick someone's ass, just like me and Shoji, right?" Mineta deadpans. "And you don't need to hurry, she'll notice anyway."
>"Fiiine." She says. "But Yaoyorozu needs to participate in the scuffle if she wants to be on the my list."
"Be quiet. You will distract from the last bout." Shoto says, a bit colder than usual. "They are entering the room."

He is right, Asui and Koda cautiously enter the room…
And Yaoyorozu pulls again, this time strongly. The instant she does, the small crate serving as the nuke's counterweight splits open like a piñata, releasing what looks like a nine barreled t-shirt cannon strapped to a toy car. It looks pretty neat.

Then it touches the ground and you can see why it looked like a shirt cannon.
In the blink of an eye, Asui and Koda are covered in layers upon layers of nets.

"WOO! I knew they had something planned!"
You shout, letting yourself fall back to sit on the floor again.

Instead of the warm floor, you end up sitting in a more or less blocky piece of ice.
Inside it is the open hand of Ashido, steaming slightly as her acid slowly gives her some room to pull her hand out.

"...What?" You ask.
>"Ever reacted to something before thinking it?" She asks you with the all too familiar sheepish smile of a girl afraid to kick her own tonsils.
"Way too often. It tends to end similarly." You tell her, slightly enlarging the ice block and freeing her hand. "Just don't actually call me Betsy."
>"What about Ushi?" She asks, then makes a double take. "Wait, it does?"
"'yuup. Now I know why they hate it, too." You tell her.

>"Oh. Sorry." She says, sadly and looking about to cry.
"Whatever for, Mina?" You say, hoping your smile brings her's back.
>"Huh? You aren't angry?" She perks up, but now looks more confused than anything.
"... I do that myself far too often to get angry at someone else for doing it." You say, shrugging. "No harm, no foul."

You then turn back to the rapidly melting ice block and the boy that is turning it to steam.
"Thanks for the save, Shoto!" You say giving him a hearty grin and a thumbs up.
He nods and gives you a small smile back. A small and short lived pull at the end of his lips, actually, but fuck half empty glasses.

Your glasses are always full, of water or air. Or moonshine, on the occasion.
Turns out, people really like endless booze… Wait.
You shake your head and change your focus to the last match and what to say for the upcoming last peer's critique.

"What about you, two? Fumikage? Shoto?" You ask the quietest resident of Fort Cozy and the head of the energy and fuels division. "You two must have some ideas? Right?"

You shuffle a bit, moving to sit between the broody boys.

>"...About what?" Shoto asks.

>"A flipside to our match." Fumikage says. "Their plan worked and the villains captured the heroes."
>"An ambitious plan thaI cannot say anything that I did not say already after our match." Shoto explains.
"... I guess I'll have to think this one by myself, then.." You say as you look around the room, trying to come up with something smart to say when the teacher comes back.

You'll need to ask if that was fishing line at the end and if getting a shelf-hat was part of Sato's part of their plan...

As you ponder this, you notice Uraraka looking at your group from the other side of the room.
She doesn't look as chipper as yesterday, or lunch. When she notices you looking back at her, she gives you a small wave.
Didn't she win her match?..
She'd be welcome in Fort Cozy! There's enough blanket and cocoa for everyone!
...whose company you want!

You throw an arm around Fumikage's neck and flash her a V-sign with a hand and a thumbs up with the other, hoping she would get the idea and get closer.
She however, she points at Iida with her left hand and raises a finger in her right one.
Then points to Shoto and raises a second finger.
...Just what is she doing?
Poining at Fumikage, she raises a third.
The fourth one she raises as she makes an uppercut motion.
Through it all, she looks at you with a questioning expression. What is she questioning is lost on you.

Then All Might comes back followed by a calm and collected, yet smiling Yaoyorozu, a beaming Sato holding his head, a nonchalant Asui and a sad Koda.
...You aren't entirely sure if that's last one is new.

"And so happens that the last match of the day is a villain victory." All Might says, laughing at the end. "You squeezed your prep time for all it's worth, Team F. There were few openings that didn't rely on overwhelming your measures with sheer power."
>"Thanks you, teacher." Yaoyorozu replies. "As combatants of the last match, we had plenty of time to plan around each of our strengths and weaknesses, as well as chances to observe the tactics developed by our classmates."
>"...I just did what she said. She looked like she knew what she was doing." Sato slurring his words. "Glad I did, coz she did."
>"We started by deciding to split. I could prepare the warhead's room for the eventual breach in." Yaoyorozu explains, then motions for Sato to continue.
>>
>"I know my limits, so we planned for that. Yaoyorozu's bag of tricks bought me time, so I could wait till the last few minutes to use my quirk."

Then Iida raises his hand.

"Speak your mind, young Iida. "All Might says. "This is your chance to ask, suggest and learn from your peers, after all."

>"If you planned it, what was the purpose of breaching your own defences?" Legs-for-days asks.
>"With little time and an open door, we didn't have a choice but falling in their trap." Asui answers. "It even made us think it was our idea. Ribbit."

You raise your hand next, speaking as you do.
"Two questions, one for each of Team F!" You start. "Was that last trap made out of fishing line, Yaoyorozu?"
>"The hanging net mortars?" She asks and you nod. "Indeed, but I might need to make some adjustments if you were able to see it through the camera. It was meant to be invisible."
"I guessed it was fishing line because I couldn't see what you were pulling. And I know you don't pull things with your mind." You explain yourself, then turn your head towards Sato. "Was getting caught part of your plan?"
>"Of course… didn't expect the shelf though." He replies. "You hit like a car, Koda."

The rock faced boy crosses his arms in front of his face, denying it.

"One last effort, young ones! Any last words before I assign the Most Valuable Player and release you from this last class?" All Might says. "Remember that you may always ask for a copy of the exercises for home studying."

You have more questions for which you'd like some answers for, and some opinions to share too. But what you really want is to change back to your uniform, go home and then get into something actually loose and comfy. No matter if you can bear your breast' weight without noticing, any bra's straps start to dig into your shoulders after a workout, and the battle trial definitely counted as one.

Thus, just as the other 18 students, you don't say a word.

"Well, I suppose I can't ask more of you right now." All Might says. "I understand you all had a tiring second day, so I'll try to wrap this quickly."

"Young Yaoyorozu." He starts, turning and walking towards the room's exit. "I can't help but commend your tactical thinking, both for the complexity of the plan you developed for a fifteen minutes exercise and its flexibility. Just don't get too cozy leading from the back, you should always be ready to jump into action and stand shoulder to shoulder with your fellow heroes, MVP."

>"I will, teacher." She says with a small bow.

The pro hero then leaves the building.

"Well, what are you waiting for, you zygotes!?" Comes his voice through the open door. "Walk with me!"

"Right!" You reply, 'dismantling' Fort Cozy.
With a pinch and the small vacuum caused by almost-instantly shrinking a blanket for six back into the stamp-like size it had when you pulled it out of your belt, you put it back in it's pouch for future use.

The not-thermos…
You dump the excess water in a nearby drain and place it back into the plastic bag, along with the cocoa tin.

"C'mon boys! And Mina!" You say, feeling a bit refreshed already! "We'll soon be walkin' free there~" You sing song a bit.
>"I'd never seen anyone that excited to go clean a classroom..." Mina says as she stretches, walking besides you. You can tell she is as excited about this as she must be for the eventual heat death of the universe.
>"Welcome to the land of the rising sun. We don't get to go home until the place is clean." Fumikage comments, not bothering to hide his disdain at the idea.
"Aw…" You sigh, then take a deep breath and puff out your chest before exhaling. "Well, then we'll leave the classroom spotless in record time!"
>"That's more like it." Shoto comments.
>"Damn right!" Mina says, once again flipping moods like a lightswitch.

Soon you reach the gates of grounds Beta and All Might turns back to talk to you again.

"Good work, everyone!" He says, placing his hands on his hips and letting his cape flutter in the wind.

Under the invigorating spring sun, you are reminded that the man in front of you, and who will continue to teach you and your classmates, is nothing less than a living legend.

"Beyond young Midoriya's at the start, there weren't any major injuries, even as you gave it your all!" He says proudly. It kind of reminds you of how Pa sometimes brags about you to his friends. "For your first full training exercise, you all did wonderfully!"
>>
>"...A direct and honest class the day after Mr. Aizawa's ruse…" Kaminari says, stretching the word 'ruse'." It almost feels out of place, don't you think?.."
"Our freedom in campus means we can teach as we like! And I thought an honest lesson was the best place to start!" The Symbol of Peace says, turning away from the class once more. "With nothing more to say, I must deliver a copy of the videos to young Midoriya, as well as my recording of your critiques! Change clothes and return to your classroom!" He says, taking a knee in a runner's start.

"All Might!" You shout as you run after him before he dashes away, as he is known to do.
"What it is young Walker?" He asks, covering his mouth and coughing a bit. "I'm afraid I'm in a bit of a hurry"
"Thank you." You tell him, bowing respectfully. Be nicer to the nice ones. "It took some balancing, but the cocoa is filled to the brim."
"Ha! Some people just can't take a gift, can't they?" He says with a laugh, taking the bag. "You are welcome. Now, <Goodbye>!"

With that, he is off.
Closer to a bullet, than a runner, forcing you to hold your hat in place for the first time in the day.

>"All Might is awesome." Mineta says as you return to the group, walking to the changing room.
>"That he is." Shoto confirms.
>"He is Japan's best, after all." Fumikage asserts as well.

After a minute of walking in relative calm and idle chatting you split again between boys and girls, to change into your uniforms away from each other.

Thus, it's only Mina, Asui, Uraraka, Jiro, and Yaotorozu next to yo-
>"Oh, sorry!" Hagakure says after you bump into her.
… and Hagakure, that make your way into the girl's changing room.

It's a neat little room, with benches, small lockers and a hand towel for each one of you.
So you go to your locker and open up your costume case and your gym bag, ready to change, as do the other girls.

Changing in front of the others isn't an issue, even baring your chest doesn't bother you that much, but last change you noticed you kind of need to shave.
So you quickly take off your boots and pants, put on the school uniform's skirt, and turn around hoping no one saw anything.

>"I'm still surprised by how on stride you all took what the support guys did with your costumes" Jiro says, putting on her uniform's shirt. "Unless you actually asked for skintight."
>"I did. Ribbit." Asui says, surprising you "Both for mobility and camouflage, I need it."
>"I just asked for an 'acid upbeat look' and the shoes." Mina says "Really like it though! The fuzzy jacket, mask and all!"

You take off your vest and store it on it's case, keeping an ear peeled for the conversation going on in front of you.

>"They are gloves, they are tight by nature." Hagakure comments about her 'costume', putting on her panties and skirt and finally letting you know where she is. "It's your costumes that stand out!"
>"..."
>"I'm pointing at Walker and you, Jiro" Hagakure remarks. "The ones that look like street clothes."
>>
>"There is little I can ask for that can help my Earphone Jack without looking like off-brand Present Mic." Jiro replies, twirling her jacks in the air. "Too little amps? Too many? I'm sticking with two and tough clothes for now. And you, Walker?"

Even if most of your sweat comes from your face and neck, you feel like taking a nice bath… Uh?

"My costume?" You ask, receiving a chorus of nods from the girls. So you keep going as you speak "Kinda like Jiro, not much to do with my quirk beyond the belt, so I went for tough and comfortable. I was very through with my style on my sketch though! I love it!"

Off go the hat, gloves and shirt, and into the case they go.

>"I submitted many designs, and they didn't go with any of them beyond the dictionary." Yaoyorozu says, getting her shirt on. "But the practical applications of this design are as good or better than my design, so I'm happy with it."

The bra is yours, however, so that you just shrink and stuff in your pencilcase sized gym bag, then wipe you face and torso nice and dry.

>"So..." Hagakure starts, as she buttons up her shirt. "What did your sketches looked like?"

You throw the towel over your neck, letting the ends cover your chest, barely.

>"Similar to what Walker is wearing now." Yaoyorozu answers pointing at you.
"...You asked to show more skin?" You ask her, putting on your socks and shoes. "I'm barely out of the 'indecent exposure' zone right now."
>"Not even that, your pink is showing." Mina says smirking.
"At least I have something on." You snark, putting on your dress bra.
>"Undressing, then dressing is the way to go." She says, patting your head. "You'll get it eventually."
>"You know the basics of how I make things, so I either leave more skin exposed or deal with bursting out my suit every time I need to make something big." Yaoyorozu explains, putting on her shoes. "And this design lets me bare more skin with a quick tug."
>"Show almost everything or end up flashing everyone. Got it." Jiro says, throwing on her uniform's jacket. "What about your costume, Uraraka? It looks retro-spacey… Kind of like a filk vynil's cover."
>"It keeps my quirk's drawback at the minimum with acupressure." She answers with a smile, as she ties her tie. "I think the spacey look fits great with Zero Gravity. It's a bit tight but I like it."
"Oh, right!" You say, putting on your jacket and moving on to your shoes. forgetting your tie. "You wanted to ask me something earlier?"
>"...me?" The brown haired girl asks.
"Yeah, with the signaling."You know pointing at a bunch of boys, an uppercut and counting?"
>"Oh. That..." She says, twiddling her indexes together. "I'm kind of confused. A bit worried too. They can feel really hurt if you toy with them like that for long..."
"...What?"
>"The boys. What are you trying to do with them?" She ask, a hint of steel in her voice this time. "Wouldn't just one cut it for whatever you may want?"

"Why would I only want one?" You ask her back, standing up and grinning from ear to ear and placing your hands on your hips. "Why would I want to stop at one when I can handle so many more?"

>"...Why!? You tr-!" She begins talking, but you shush her.

"Hush now, still talking." You tell her, then continue your train of thought, advancing on her. "But I get it, you must feel left out, so why don't you come along and join the fun? I'm not picky."

>"Bwah?" The smaller girls sort of asks, raising her arms in front of her face, blushing and stepping back.

>"I didn't think it would be that bad..." Yaoyorozu comments.

>"I did." Hagakure states.

>"Must be the heat. Ribbit."

>"At least they are both dressed." Jiro points out. "If anything happens we can interfere."

>"...Kinky." Mina says.

You don't know what they are talking about, but it can wait.

"Or is this some Japanese culture thing?.." You ponder, stepping towards the smaller, red faced girl.

>"..Just how many you have?" She steps back again, pressing her back against the corner.

"With you… that'd be eight here in Japan so far." You answer, stepping forwards again, trapping her in the corner.

>"Oh no... She wants me too!" She says, closing her eyes and bracing herself.

"Of course I want you!" You tell her, then pinch your chin with your thumb and index fingers "Unless there's an actual social norm for how many friends japanese girls can have? I wouldn't want to impose…"

>"...wait." Uraraka says, looking at you again. "You mean boyfriends, right?.. or girlfriends... you just said you weren't picky."

"...Just friends." You explain, unsure as to why you need to. "If you want to be one of mine, that would take them up to... nine."

>"Nine friends in japan?" The girls asks you, lowering her defenses.

"...Well, in total."

>"What about your friends in America?" She asks, her expression shifting to worry.

"I've never had that many friends you know? Growing up next to a small town in the middle of nowhere and going to an even smaller school does that to you." You recall, taking a step and leaning on the wall besides her.

"Be a ditz like me a few times, and you'll be lucky if you only fade on the background. Or you'll find yourself garbling the Alamo as 'Alamoo' in front of the class, and they'll never ever let you live it down, bringing it up every year as your birthday comes around. From then on it's the boys, the girls, and the cow." You tell them all, pointing at your horns and letting your tongue hang in its full length for a few seconds. "No one wanted to be with the cow."

>"...On your own birthday? Ribbit." Asui asks.

"March sixth, last day of The Alamo. Used to love it before that. Now I sort of try to forget it and move on."
>>
>"I know what it's like, being left out… But that's just cruel. Ribbit."

"You got over it?"

>"With the help of a good friend, yes. Ribbit."

"I fled the continent when given the chance" You say. "Hello Japan."

>"...Didn't time help?" Yaoyorozu asks.
"Somewhat" You begin. "Puberty hit me like an eighteen wheeler, as I'm sure you can tell."

>"You kind of strut your stuff. A lot." Jiro points out.

"I learned to work with what I have. In three months I went from shunned to bringing all the boys to the yard, and nothing I ever said mattered anymore... Sure made the tail years of middle school better than any that came before, but it was still the boys, the girls and the cow. But everyone wanted to touch the cow." You finish, wiping off that errant sweat drop falling down the side of your nose. Silly thing.

"...So nine friends total. If you want-" You don't manage to finish before Uraraka hugs you oof the wall and back to your feet.

>"...Damn, now I feel like I tried to kick a puppy." She says, squeezing you. "I'll be your ninth!"

>"You can count me as your tenth." Asui says. "Call me Tsu. Ribbit."

>"I don't know what's the next n-th but count me in!" Mina says crying, joining the hug and squeezing you even harder.

"You were already in!" You tell her, as your wooden ribs slowly bend inwards.

>"...I'm sure I can find something to play at your party." Jiro says.

"What party?" You ask her.

>"Your birthday, silly, friends don't let each other miss out on parties." She replies with a smirk. "For now, you get to call me Kyoka, Ushi."

>"I'm sorry for thinking the worst!" Hagakure says, joining the hug. "I swear I'll make it up to you!"

"I don't even know why you are sorry, Hagakure!"

>"It's Toru-u!" She sobs into you for no apparent reason.

>"So… Can we be friends? I'm Momo, if you have forgotten." Momo says awkwardly.

"Sure!.." You answer. "But we met yesterday! How could I forget?"

There once was a girl called Ushi
Whose face we stated rather loosely
The girls thought us a thot
Till we all cried alot
And the feelings all became rather mooshy

With your hand pressed on your hip, you enlarge yourself until you fill most of the room, breaking the hug for an instant before scooping them all in an even bigger hug, paying no mind to the bench digging into your ribs.

"Thank you" You say, returning the kind embrace. "All of you."

After a few minutes of earnest hugging the girls starts speaking up.
>"Don't worry..." Kyoka says. "Just loosen up a bit."
>"Literally, please." Momo clarifies. "Breathing has been getting ever harder."
>"...It does feel like a giant plushy." Toru comments. "But this is enough hugging, really. Your heartbeat is making me sleepy."
>"I'm okay." Tsu says. "Hugs are nice. Ribbit."
>"Mphh!" You feel Mina pounding a fist on your chest.

Looking down you see that while your are tightly squeezing all six of them, Uraraka and Mina got the worst of it, being pressed face first against your chest, with Toru in the middle.

"Right! Sorry!" You say, letting go of the girls and tapping yourself back to 5'5.
>Mina gasps for air before speaking. "That went from sad, to heartwarming, to hot to terrifying in a second!"

Uraraka just falls onto you, so you catch and hold her.
She just lies in your arms with closed eyes and a content expression on her face.

"...Please tell me I didn't kill her." You plead, hoping the rest of the girls would know what to do.
>"Relax, Ushi. She's just asleep." Momo says, placing her hand under her nose.
>"Can't really blame her." Toru says, stretching.
>"...Would that count as a quirk related crime?" Tsu asks "You could smother someone without it. Ribbit"
>"Wonder how the docs would write her off. 'Befriended to death' wouldn't get to a court, wouldn't it?" Mina asks.
>"Girls." Kyoka calls for everyone's attention. "We are going to be seriously late for the cleaning if we don't shake a leg right now. And I really don't want to push Mr. Aizawa's limits.

With everyone ready, it's just a matter of actually getting to the classroom…

"Then we'll shake it!" You say, reaching for your gym bag and suitcase and stuffing them in one of your jacket's pockets, then doing the same with Uraraka's.

>"I'm pretty sure you noticed, but you have a sleeping girl leaning on you." Toru points out.

"Isn't she adorable?" You say, placing arm below the sleeping girl's knees and the other around her shoulders, lifting her off the floor and letting her rest her head on your chest.

Same way mom used to carry you, so you know it's comfy.

"Besides, I think she needs it..." You say, recalling the end of her own battle trial.

>..."A nap?" Kyoka asks as she opens the door for you.

"Never underestimate how much does a nice nap for you." You say softly as you begin the walk back to classroom 1-A "She was crying not too long ago."

>"What? When!?" Mina asks. "We would have seen it!"

"When Momo analyzed her fight." You answer. "We all cheered for Momo, but Uraraka was barely holding her tears in."

>"I'm sorry..." Momo apologizes

"Nah, you spoke your mind." You explain, keeping your voice and stride low. "I'm pretty sure she wishes she could have helped Deku."

>"Who?" Toru asks, walking besides you.

"Midoriya. The one that Daisy left… crispy." You shiver at the thought. "I don't know about you, but I don't think there's a worse feeling than uselessness."

>"... True" Momo agrees.

After that, it's almost just a walk through the almost empty hallway. Buy unlike the way to the changing room earlier, when you first came to try your gear, you now walk like a group.

Not just a bunch of girls going to the same place, but the Girls of Class 1-A.

You all quietly arrive to the classroom's door, and listen for a second.

>"... are taking too long." You hear Kaminari say.

>"What, think they are leaving all the work for us?" Kirishima says. "You need to trust more in people."

>"Maybe you should build up some walls while you can." Fumikage says. "Sooner or later, everyone lets you down."

>"... Did you get that on a fortune cookie or something?" You hear Kirishima reply. "They must have had some trouble on the way or something."

>"I was just wondering what takes them that long..." Kaminari says.

>"I have my theories." Mineta says. "But we'll need pictures."

>"Next time?" Kaminari asks him.
>"Next time." Mineta confirms.

>"We need to ask the upperclassmen, they gotta know all about this place." Kaminari suggests.
>>
"Y'all go ahead." You tell the gals, leaning on the wall by the door. "I'll stay with her for a spell.

>"You finally arrived." You hear Mr. Aizawa through the door as your friends enter. "There are five minutes left to clean this place, and if it's not done by then, you seven will do the clean up tomorrow."

Crap…

>"... Sounds like a nice hangout to me." Mina says. "But someone hand me a mop, I'm gonna melt the dirt off the floor in a jiffy!"

>"Where are Walker and Uraraka?" You hear Iida ask.

>"They needed a little bit more time." Tsu excuses you. "We'll cover for them. Ribbit."

>"Has Midoriya not come back from the nurse's office yet?" Momo asks.

>"No, but he should be back soon." Mr. Aizawa, grunting. "Not that it matters, he is exempt from today's clean up, and you are still two bodies short, so get moving."

"Rise and shine, pal." You say as you shake the shoulder of the gal in your arms.

>"Five more minutes..." She replies sleepily, shoving her face in your chest. "I'm comfy..."

"...We don't have five more minutes, sugar." You tell her, blushing. "And I'm pretty sure you don't want Deku to see us like this. I sure as hell don't."

>"I had a bad day, I dun wanna go back." The girl mumbles, snuggling in.

"It's not over yet." You tell her, putting her down on her own two feet. "You can still make it great, ya' know?"

>"I won my fight and made friends, yet I feel like I've done nothing right all day... Deku planned and fought. I gave up my position and endangered the bomb, we won basically cheating." She repeats Momo's words. "...And by getting Deku in the Nurse's Office again. Earlier today I just went begging you for scraps… then I was about to call you a tramp for being nice, too. I just don't know how to make it better, Ushi. I've done nothing but fall upwards."

You think about what to say to that, but she continues before giving you a chance to speak.

>"Why even bother with me?" She asks, starting to tear up

"I'm… I'm not the right person for this…" You tell her. "I can barely talk my way outta paperbag!"

It's true. Your brand of advice for calls for her to buckle up, stop being a wuss and fight the fight.

>"I'm sorry..." She says, taking the step and taking the door knob. "I shouldn't bother you with my problems."

You grab her by the shoulders and pull her away from the door, you don't need your quirk for this.

"Now just wait a cotton-picking minute! I just said I'm not the friend for this talking, but I don't have to be." You tell her. "You have Iida, and Deku, and I'm sure the gals would help too!.. But if you just want someone to listen, an honest opinion or an arts, crafts and cooking pal, I'll be here for you. Nothing like a home cooked meal for a weary heart, even better than a nap I tell you."
>>
For a few seconds you just stare at each other before you just blab out your thoughts.

"Or I can tell you to get your shit together, raise that chin, put on that winning smile of yours and do your best to enjoy a nice train ride with your pals." You say with your own winning smile. "I'm new to this, but I'm pretty sure bothering your friends with your problems is a core part of this here friendship business."

After a second she starts giggling.

>"And you said you weren't good at this… Thanks for trying, it really helps." She says, bringing that eager smile of hers to bear. "Alright! I'll do my best, for me and my friends!"

"Attagirl! I knew a power nap would help!" You say, giving her a thumbs up.

>"I don't think it was the nap." She tells you, showing again the boundless energy you saw in her yesterday. "Although it was the best sleep I can recall having."

"So, are you ready to face the future with a smile and to leave the classroom spotless before Mr. Aizawa punishes every girl of class 1-A?" You ask her, feeling a bit hyped yourself.

>"Let's do this!" She replies, full of excitement.

After enlarging both your and Uraraka's stuff, both of you enter the room and return your suitcases to their retractable shelves.

Even with Mr. Aizawa repeating his threat, you aren't particularly worried, thanks to the efforts of your classmates.

You can see that most of the classroom is already clean with not much left for you and Uraraka to do but the windows, a task both of you are particularly well suited to even if she looks rather sick by the end of it.

You wouldn't say it's thanks to you, but…

"There! Done it in time!" You say, letting your bucket and tools next to Mina's burnt mop.

>"That means you can go home when the bell rings, same tomorrow." Mr. Aizawa says, walking through the door. "I'm doing it now."

>"Did he really just leave us..?" Toru asks.

>"Sure seems that way." Kaminari says, walking your way.

"It's like ten minutes. We can survive and not do anything stupid for that long." You say, hoping to be right.

>"Hey Walker!.. I was wondering, what kind of food you like?" Kaminari asks you.

"I love ribs and brisket!" You answer immediately. "Although I don't actually hate anything."

You hear how a few of your classmates drop what they are holding in their hands in a sudden case of mass clumsiness.

"So, wanna go out and grab a bite with me?" Kaminari asks you, scratching the back of his neck.

The very next second, Deku comes in through the door, still in his tattered costume and with his arm fully bandaged.

>"I hope Mr. Aizawa got Recovery Girl's note…"

>>
reminder to everyone we just had a heartfelt moment about how boys just wanted to touch the cow before even knowing us....this moment is what makes Ushi sad because she thinks people see her as a piece of meat
>>
>>2066280
One of the reasons i'm choosing to reply with friendly snark instead of agreeing. I mean getting to know him better is fine, and dinner is a great time to do that.

But we both have plans and probably aren't in the right mood.
>>
>>2066280
She was sad because everyone made fun of and bullied her, not because they started finding her attractive.
She even said when that started happening, those were the best years she had in school.

She enjoys being overly-sexual because that's all she had to work with and it got results, and perhaps that'll cool down a bit now that she has some friends, but that doesn't mean she'll hate getting attention because of her looks all of a sudden.

Kaminari may only like us for our looks, or he may like our personality as well.
You'll never know if you just blow him off and don't get to know him better, and understand how he feels.
Of course, we don't have to do that right this instant, we can reschedule since we're busy.
>>
>>2066282
we already have plans with Pinkie and Red yeah, just tell him we're going to have to say sorry but we're busy with those two
>>
>>2066285
Totally reasonable. We still have to rib him though. There just isn't a reason not to.
>>
>>2066285
She said they were better years because instead of bullying it was ogling. She still hated it. as She said "now everyone just wanted to touch the cow"
>>
>>2066289
Yep.
Give him a chuckle though, let him know we're not mad and we're just rubbing him.
>>
>>2066291
*RIBBING
I SAID RIBBING

>>2066290
"I learned to work with what I have. In three months I went from shunned to bringing all the boys to the yard, and nothing I ever said mattered anymore... Sure made the tail years of middle school better than any that came before, but it was still the boys, the girls and the cow. But everyone wanted to touch the cow."

There's no "just" in there. That implies a negative.
"Sure made the tail years of middle school better than any that came before, it was still the boys, the girls and the cow. But everyone wanted to touch the cow."
Had a positive connotation
>>
>>2066294
>Sure made the tail years of middle school better than any that came before, but it was still the boys, the girls and the cow. But everyone wanted to touch the cow."
So it was better than a zero out of ten but likely still a one or two....wonderful
>>
Secondly WE ALREADY TOLD MINA WE'D GO OUT WITH HER TONIGHT
>>
>>2066294
It was her only light in a dark situation. She knew the guys didn't really like Her. They just liked her body.

But that was all she was gonna get, so it had to be enough. She took what she had and did her best to enjoy it.

I think Ushi is flattered and accepting of others thinking about her sexually, but she probably wants more than that from people who want to get close to her.
>>
>>2066285
>"the best years she had in school"
She was first isolated because "no one wanted to be with the cow."

Then she grows up, and suddenly she isn't bullied anymore. When she's talking about it, she's crying.

>"Sure made the tail years of middle school better than any that came before, but it was still the boys, the girls and the cow. But everyone wanted to touch the cow." You finish, wiping off that errant sweat drop falling down the side of your nose. Silly thing."

Sure they might've been the best school years she'd had, but that ain't saying much.
>>
>>2066300
Of course.

>>2066280 implied that she'd be saddened by people who were just attracted to her though, which isn't the case.
She enjoys playing around with people who find her attractive, even if she doesn't intend to do anything with them.
Whether she's doing it as a way of trying to make friends or just enjoying toying with their feelings, she has fun doing so.
>>

Just a PSA that it's racist to call a person with animal mutations eating food made from that animal cannibalism. We're all people here. Except maybe Tsu, she's pretty okay with being a frog. I guess it depends on the level of animal mutation.

While this is true, you have to remember that the Japanese don't have anywhere near as much of a "thing" about being accidentally racist as us Burgerlanders do.
I've actually watched people stop themselves in the middle of the phrase "pot calling the kettle black" just because a black person was in the room.

"That depends, what kind of pictures were you planning on taking with Mineta 'next time'?" You ask him, leaning forwards and placing a fist below your chin. Only you get to pick who sees what of you, not any peepers.
You can see him struggle to keep his eyes on yours, and blink in silence for a couple of seconds.
He then pulls out his phone.
>"...Right! You see, during the break that All Might gave us after Midoriya blew up the building - Fucking awesome, man! - I came across this… Not sure what it is."

His fingers dance around the screen for a few seconds and a video starts playing.

A tall, brown skinned and green haired girl wearing U.A.'s gym uniform is running outside of grounds Beta, giving chase to a boy in the same uniform, running at full throttle.
>"DOKUJA!" The girl yells as she claws at the boys back, but not reaching him. "IF YOU GIVE IT BACK NOW I SWEAR RECOVERY GIRL WILL HAVE ENOUGH OF YOU TO STITCH YOU BACK TOGETHER!"
>"ATSUUU! DO YOUR THING!" The boys screams running towards a wall. You can see that he is... holding… a bra?
>"AAATSUUUUU!" Dokuja, the boy screams as he pounds the wall with a fist. "SHE'LL GET YOU TOO!!"

Then a panel in the wall lifts and let's the boy fall in.

>"Last time I bail you!" A third voice says from within the wall. "Next time I'll let Kuroseki get you!"

The wall then closes, leaving the girl raging and scratching at it.

And the short video ends.
>"I was just getting Mineta's help finding the service passages. If we can gen in those, we should be able to get through the whole school!.. I think." He says with a chuckle. "That's the only entrance I know of, but in movies they always web through the whole place!"
>"I'd never seen th-" Mineta starts, but a look from Kaminari silences him. "I mean.. It's pretty neat… I need to find those guys."

"Huh..." And to think you thought him a pervert. "Well… I'm being treated to an apology dinner already, with Kirishima-"
>"Oh…" He sighs.
"And Mina." You finish.
You can see Mina and Kirishima bump fists at your words.
>"Well, we have a few days left on the week… Maybe another day?" He asks, shyly scratching the back of his neck. You hate to admit it, but he even looks kind of cute as he does it.

>"She's a girl, not a wet paperbag." Daisy says. "At least put your foot down for a date if you are paying."

3x4 against our 2x9 means he'll hit us first (whether physically or verbally) but that we're probably be able to put up a good defense afterwards. Which means either a counter-attack or block to stop further physical attacks or a successful zinger to put Daisy in his place. I think I got that right, anyone feel free to correct me.

I think Kaminari said it best when he said
"It's only been a brief while since our socialization has commenced and yet already we have been made apodictically cognizant of your personality, redolent as it is of a turd getting steamed in a sewer."
Bakugo's a fucking asshole.
BUT he's not the utterly irredeemable and unfeeling douchebag some people in this thread are thinking. He's like a hedgehog, and being a dick is his spikes.
>>
>>2068335
No no no, Bakugo is a very complex character. He has not one, but TWO emotions: contempt-fueled rage and impotency-fueled rage. In the former case, he'll lash out violently with a smug or angered look on his face. In the latter case, he'll lash out violently with little bitch tears in his eyes. In either case, Deku is the likely cause.
>>
>>2068594

Ya know, for someone so 'autistic' and 'socially retarded' Ushi sure is making friends with nearly EVERYONE in class extremely quickly, I mean fucking hell it's only day 2. don't lynch me for saying this, but between our enormous power and connecting with 3/4 of the class already, we're coming off a bit sue-ish

>>
>>2068607

>>
>>2068607
Well, we have been rolling pretty well. Our relationship die only applies to the group dynamic, and bakugou hasn’t asked us out yet. Whatever attention we’re getting from him stems from knocking him the fuck out during the quirk apprehension test. It’s only sue if our victories are unearned, but since our victories stem from fair dice rolls and audience decision making, they feel earned to me.

If there’s any accusation of being OP it’s that our quirk is so damn good. But it’s also possible we’ve just been pacing ourselves alright and haven’t had to suffer too much of the downsides.
>>

>>
Ushi fucks up a lot. Our face die rolls are notoriously shit. The GOD WILLS IT double double 10's was probably the last of our actual good luck for a while. I actually voted for the relationship die both because it fit thematically and because charm felt too close to a flat 3d10 face roll.

You can cut it with that Mary sue shit. Dice do what they will.
>>
>>2068607
Yeah, we're such a Sue that we totally carried that fight versus Shoto and Tokoyami and didn't need to be rescued by fucking Mineta.

Totally weren't unintentionally bullying Ochako to the point where she though we were just some sadistic jerk until we got turbo-lucky with those double tens.

We totally didn't get publicly humiliated on Day One and get sent to the infirmary for breaking our own damn arm.

And we DEFINITELY didn't get immolated and almost die trying to look cool during the entrance exam.

We're not, is what I'm saying here. In case that wasn't clear. We aren't.

You don't understand. Coming at what you mean sideways, instead of saying your feelings directly, is so common in Japan that Natsume Soseki (absurdly famous Japanese guy, was a novelist, critic, and scholar of English literature) once observed that "Tsuki ga Kirei desune" (basically, "the moon is beautiful) is actually a BETTER sense translation of a character telling another "I love you" due to just how CAGEY the Japanese are about these kinds of thing.

Before mr. douchebag closes the distance you speak to Kaminari.
"Sure, I'm free for the next three days." You tell him.
>"Great! This thursday after class, I won't dissapoin-" He says, being cut off by Daisy.

>"Nice cuts for you to choose, Briskets." He starts. "Did'ya pick at the mirror?"
>"You can't say that to a girl!" Kirishima shouts, being the only other person here that…
>"I thought he was going to ask her out, not offend her." Momo says, apparently understanding too. She doesn't sound too calm.
"Briskets?- Ha! -You are basting it too thick, Daisy." You ask, crossing your arms to both pull up your breasts and to help you look smug. You aren't going to let him get under your skin, you have your pals with you! "Keep on lookin, 'cause you ain't getting neat these briskets, Dukes."
>"Tell him girl!" Mina cheers.
>"...What is going on?" Shoto asks.
>"Let me see how it ends, then I'll tell you." Mineta answers.
>"Ouch. Rough tongue you got there, Ushi." He says, sneering. "A good chop and you'd be so much more likeable. No one like a bossy Ushi, everyone likes tacos."

How?… ow...
You aren't sure which part hurt more, being straight up told that you'd be better without talking, using your name as an insult, the non-playful implication that you are meat.
But what really shook you, was the image they all conjured together…
Looking up 'Cow-girl' on the internet left some deep, visceral impressions on you...
Yet it's something you live with, so with a small effort you will the image away, feeling only a little sick…

Motherfucker got under your skin after all.

>"Man, You are terrible at this." Kaminari says, earning Daisy's palm an inch away from his face... which doesn't seem to bother him. "Yeah, you try that. You can't pretend to be that stupid."

>"Lengua tacos are pretty good, if you get the beef tongue the right shade of brown." Toru says, getting most of the class to glare at her. "What? They are!.. Oh. Context. Sorry."

"Yeah, no thanks." You say. "You can't cook tex-mex on a raging dumpster fire. You probably poison food with your shitty personality alone."
>"Yet I could bet I can out do you at the grill. " He shrugs. "Hell, I bet you were bluffing, you are probably vegan.
"Oh, Fuck off! You wouldn't know meat if it stared at you on the face!" You say, lowering your head and stomping at the floor.
>"..." He just smiles that shit eating grin of his.
"...Fuck you, man." You say, holding back an angry moo. Not going to give him that. "I could outcook you with a fork and salt shaker.
>"I got two brick barbeques on my backyard… And I assure you I can beat your ass on a cook off. Think you can prove me wrong tomorrow evening?" He says, leaning forwards. "Hell, after dinner I'll toss you some salad to graze on.

A chance to make him eat his words?
You are game.
>>
"I'm-" Is all you manage to say before a hand taps your shoulder and you are thrown backwards by your own muscles.

>"Sorry to interrupt… I think?" Uraraka says, holding you sideways by your shoulders. "But I think you were about to do something really stupid without thinking."

...She's right. You should..!

>"Think it through, Briskets." The most infuriating non-family-member person you know says, passing next to you with his backpack slung over his shoulder. He then pokes your butt with his still moist finger before leaving the classroom. "Boop."

Not a grope, nor copping a feel. Just a poke.
Still, you want to flatten him again.

"Thanks Uraraka." You tell the girl as she puts you back down on your feet and releases her quirk. It takes you half a second to find your balance again, but you didn't fall over, at least.

Don't worry anons just hold out until the sports thing then in stage 1 grab him shrink him down and squeeze, then throw him full pelt into a wall. If they ask why we did it we tell them "we're using strategy to eliminate to strong foes early". There are no rules saying we cant. End his chances and do some perma damage

It's called preemptive action and very American. Some people need to be humbled, he is one of them and the best way to do that is to show them how fragile they really are.

your already makin a key mistake, your letting him get that far. Want to know how to fuck with Bakugo? You stop anyone even noticing him, you remove him from the equation entirely, straight away.

The moment the race or round 1 starts your allowed to use your quirk on others, grab him and baseball toss him out the arena eliminating him from the entire contest. This way we will have done a handful of good things
1) We wont have to look over our shoulder for the entire thing where he may try to fuck with us
2) We have massively hurt his Ego because now no one will see him in any further events
3) He now will no longer be a threat or do damage to anyone we like now or later in the tornie
4) If Bakugo has time to think how to beat us he will the dude is smart don't underestimate him, prove we're a cunning think er by eliminating the combat specialist before he can enter the combat part of the games.

Don't bring yourself down Mic, these threads are a real blast.
>>
That was smooth. Hate the guy but if she was solo she would have dated Baka.
>>
>>2069723
I agree. Cool the jets on the ooc Bakugou, Mic. In the manga at this point he only gives a shit about dunking on Deku, he really doesn't give a single fuck about anyone else in the class until much much later.
>>
>>2071972
I'm seeing it in character. Bakugou's main motivation is to be the Best. To be #1. He dunks on Midoriya because to him, he's Quirkless Deku, as weak as a mouse. To Bakugou, who sees himself as, say, a tiger, every time Midoriya stood up to him, it was like a mouse saying to a tiger, "I'm just as good as you," but since he's useless, that doesn't make sense. So Bakugou takes it as Izuku saying "You're not a tiger, you're as weak as me, you're a mouse," So Bakugou beats the shit out of him to show that No, he is not a mouse.

Essentially, Bakugou's way of thinking is distorted.

Anyway, that's why Explodi-Kill explodi-kills deku so much. With Ushi, it's similar-ish. First day on the practical exam, Ushi directly challenges Bakugou by sitting on his lap, and when he threatens her with his quirk, she is completely unimpressed. Further, she shrinks his pants which he could easily take as "Ha, your quirk is useless to me, but you can't handle a minor application of mine."

It's late, so I'll go ahead and skip to the next big "challenge" Ushi made. When Izuku threw the ball, showing off his quirk, Bakugou flips the fuck out. *We proceed to completely no-sell his ass.*

Bakugou kinda has a fucked up way of thinking, the underline of which is Aggression. Weaklings are "background characters" undeserving of attention. Since we've upstaged him before, and he's not a weakling, that means we can't be a weakling. It's sorta like how after the Bakugou VS Uraraka fight, and Bakugou knew that she nearly won, he defended her after Kaminari called her "fragile." She won his
grudging respect. Basically, we beat him, he respects us.

It's just that he's such a socially retarded autist that he can't really convey that without insults and shit. In some way, in his fuck up head, there's the distinct possibility this is him genuinely asking us on a date.

TL;DR: Bakugou is a Tsundere whose dere side is just less tsun than usual.
>>
>>2072072
I still say flick him out the ring as soon as the Sports Race begins so that no Pro Heroes even notice him
>>
>>2072169
A better way would be to latch onto him ant-sized when the race starts and hitchike the dude until we're close to the finish line.

Then right before the finish line Ushi can enlarge herself suddenly, pushing him back while getting herself in front of the race, essentially doing the trick the mouse did to the ox in the fable of the 12 chinese zodiacs.

Not only would it show off how good Ushi is at applying her quirks, it would also piss him off infinitely for us to literally steal his win right under his nose.
>>
>>2072294
I was thinking we could get a pair of grape's gloves and stick him to the track but honestly he'd probably just lose whatever clothes or skin is stuck to the track and go plus ultra rage.
>>
>>2072294
This. It's subtle and worthy of the Grape Seal of approval.
>>
>>2072294
And once we steal his won we can comment we should have latched into Deku. Since Deku is the one that wins the race.
>>
>>2072072

>"What was that, then?" Shoto asks.
>"...Not entirely sure." Mineta answers. "Like... he went so far in the opposite direction from smooth talking, combined with threats of bodily harm that it almost worked? But I'm starting to think that's just how he talks."
>"...Interesting." He replies.
"That was infuriating, weird and kind of creepy" You say, still wobbling a bit on your feet. "...Softer than what I expected, really."
>"... You expected?" Uraraka asks.
"I… may have wanted to know what was he trying to show off." You say, scratching behind your ear.
>"Not all attention is good, you know?"
"Oh, I know." You reply nonchalantly. "I sort of expected something more physical than a poke. Full on slap, grope or upwards. Looked forwards to it, even."
>"..." She just looks at you and shakes her head.
"What?" It really was tamer than expected! "Something wrong?"
>"...This is the part where you say why you expected that." She tells you, looking amused. "Else it looks like you wanted it."

Oh, fuck.

"As an excuse to kick his ass!" You quickly explain yourself. "No one would have blamed me if that happened, right?!"
>"Nope!" Mina says walking into your personal space.
>"I would have joined in. Ribbit" Tsu assures you.
>"I was about to." Kyoka says.
>"Mr. Aizawa would have been seriously disappointed at such a fight." Momo states. "You said it yourself, less than ten minutes to not do anything stupid."

Then the bell rings.

"Can we be stupid now?" You joke.
>"Depends, are you still under 20?" Mina picks ups.
"For a good while, yes!" You say giggling.
>"Then, as teenagers, is our duty to stupid the evening away!" She cheerfully replies. "I was thinking sushi, but we can pass through the city center and goof around before going to your place!"
"Hold up. My place?" You don't remember offering your house for movie night…
>"Well, duh." She explains. "You host, I bring the main movie, and Eiji pays for everything we want. Classic movie night stuff, right Eiji?"
>"Right!" The boy says, approaching. "If we go to town, we could pick some things up along with dinner. Or we can call for delivery when we get there, your call."

What the heck, it's not like you to distrust people!

"Let's hit the city." You say. "Maybe we'll find something interesting!"
>"That's the idea!" Kirishima says, going to wait by the classroom's door with Mina. "It's no Shibuya, but I've never left Rothar Square bored."
>"It's good enough for when you don't feel like going to Tokyo for a popsicle." Mina says, then elbows the boy. "Now that's an idea!"
"I'm more of an ice cream person myself, but sure!" You say, picking up your backpack.

You walk to the humongous door with a smile and a bounce on your step.
This is going to be fun.

"Goodbye everyone, see ya tomorrow!" You say, waving to the sixteen students still in the room before stepping out.

You take a second to text Momma. "Going out. Don't cook. Bringing company later." Should be short enough.

>"So… beef." Mina says as the three of you make your way out. "I wasn't expecting that."
"Why not?" You reply, choosing to ignore the obvious answer. "It's delicious!"
>"And there's a lot of ways to prepare it." Kirishima says, crossing his arms and nodding.
>"I thought you'd say something… more about it." Mina says, a bit surprised.
>"If you can gush over Scott and Giger, she can enjoy a steak. It's all on the same weirdwave to me." The redhead shrugs.
>"Hiss!" Mina 'says' sticking out her tongue and striking a raptor like pose with her arms, looming over both of you...

You just giggle at her pink attempt at being scary.

>"Yeah! That's what I'm talking about." He says nonchalantly, scanning around. "You get numb to people's weirdness after a while."
>"Someday, someone will be impressed with my impression..." Mina says.
"Impression of what?" You ask her, cocking your head sideways.
>"... We got to her in time, Eiji." Mina says, grabbing you by your shoulders and giving you a shake. "With any luck she hasn't watched any of the thinkpieces either."

The way she spat the word 'thinkpieces' doesn't escape you. That's some vitriol alright.

"I get it's related to the movie?" You ask Kirishima.
>"She has strong opinions on monster movies." He tells you. "She also roots for the murderer on horror flicks."

You keep to movie chatter all the way to the square, barely stopping when swarmed by the media at the school's gates.

>"One comment please!" A reporter calls out for you. "What it's like to have All Might as a teacher!?"
>"As cool as you'd expect from the best!" Mina says, brushing off the reporters and cameras without even changing her stride.
>"Badass." Says Kirishima, putting a shoulder forwards and shoving his way through the crowd.
You just stay close to Kirishima and let him make way.
You have gotten good enough at... people to know that you would put your foot in your mouth on national T.V. the instant you opened your mouth in front of a camera.
Turns out Rothar Square is just the name of a small park near the city center, surrounded by restaurants, clubs and stores.

>>2075499
>You have gotten good enough at... people to know that you would put your foot in your mouth on national T.V. the instant you opened your mouth in front of a camera.
I can only imagine how embarrassing this could have been.
>>
>"We are definitely going to watch one of the best ever made!" Mina says about tonight's main movie. "Suspense, horror and monsters… Huh. Add action and comedies and you have my favorite genres there. What about..?"

"I've never been a genre kind of person, movies have to stand on their own." You explain, hoping to not sound pretentious. "Though I've gotta admit a weakness for westerns, old timey buddy cop movies and those explodey-don't-think-about-it kind of action movies."

You keep your guilty pleasure of children's animation to yourself, however.

After a few seconds of silence, you look at Mina, and find her staring at a billboard on the wall of a restaurant.

"In celebration of Lago House of Sushi's twentieth spring, we want to celebrate with a blast from the past." You read out loud. "Signed, original merch of the symbols of femininity and masculinity, Crimson Riot and Midnight await any boy or girl, man or woman who dare take take our daunting challenge, the twenty feet long roll in twenty minutes. Dare you take your chance at a free meal and spoils?. Multiple exclamation marks."

>"We are going to do it, aren't we?" Mina asks, without peeling her eyes from the billboard showing a slightly damaged copy of Midnight's original costume, and a red, torn cape and mouth cover, signature of the manly hero Crimson Riot.
>"Are you really asking?" Kirishima replies.

True, but they also create an artificial divide in the community. When perfectly valid content for the thread gets posted in a Discord instead, it leaves out those who have no interest in sifting through all the lewds and random bullshittery that makes up the majority of the Discord's content.
Additionally, this artificial divide can lead to the formation of what amount to being political parties, particularly on controversial (waifus) or important (build decisions) vote subjects, leaving thkse who choose not to participate in the discord pissing into the wind against a powerbloc formed off-site and outside the thread.
Back in the /tg/ days, they still served a purpose on days when the thread wasn't up, providing a place for QMs to drop side-material and non-crucial infodumps for interested readers without cluttering the board.
But on /qst/, threads can stay up for a weeek or more, so it's not needed.

He would then try to back down by saying that a struggle snuggle isn't rape and that we were putting words in his mouth by copy pasting his own post.

I don't know what his hateboner is for discord. But if it is this guy, he's pretty cancerous.

Have to say I agree with the anti discord guy in this thread. I have enough tabs open as it fucking is and I have no intention of being forced into yet another website where I have to give it everything I own so that I can participate in meaningless bullshit.

Also your namefagging pisses me off and I don't know why. I'm fine with it on other sites but here I want to reach into my screen and throttle everyone who isn't Present Mic or Anonymous.

The discord would certainly make less sense if this weren’t a blue board.

As it is, I think it’s necessary at worst and it’s really been just harmless fun so far.

While a perfectly normal tactical approach here, I always find it Ironic.
It both is very difficult to prove against any normal user of the site because regular users remain anonymous unless they are using the name system properly; using one for a storytime, being a QM, etc. To actually insert real doubt in others about a regular posters identity is difficult, as more then one person will disagree with you about literally anything and even if their points are very similar, they aren't likely the same person.

Fortunately, many of the worst spazs willingly identify themselves with a name, making it easy to ignore them. Without them outing themselves, it requires the other person to be stupid and continually repeat the same thing in the same way and be rather violent in a consistent manner.

He's probably being paranoid about them wanting name, email address, et cetera from him. And possibly this bit in the terms of service:
"By uploading, distributing, transmitting or otherwise using Your Content with the Service, you grant to us a perpetual, nonexclusive, transferable, royalty-free, sublicensable, and worldwide license to use, host, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display Your Content in connection with operating and providing the Service."
Plain english, anything you post in Discord, Discord owns. Course that's pretty common on most forms of social media.

I've never been on Discord, and so far see no need to use it. I also seem to be able to enjoy this quest quite fine without it.

Nobody's making you join the discord, guys. There's some discussion, but we mostly just repeat any related to voting in thread. So people will se it and agree with us. Makes sense, yeah?

Likewise though it's kind of silly to expect Present Mic to shut it down just because you don't like it. Other people do like it, and are having fun (even if I wish they'd post less smut). Get real.

"We are so doing this." You say, joining their staring.

Free meal and prizes? Hell yeah, you are in!

...If… When you win that costume, you could get Midnight to sign it!

>"..." They just blink and exchange a look.
"What?" You ask, a tad confused. Weren't you all going to do this?

>"Nothing?" Kirishima says. "I guess I was expecting some sort of nagging. Maybe something about the overeating or the raw fish…"
"Okay…" You reply. "First off, there is no such thing as overeating, and second, its sushi. I'm pretty sure that's how it's meant to be."
>"...Sounds about right to me!" Mina says, rubbing her hands .
>"Let's get to it then!" The boy says, stepping forwards and throwing the restaurant's double doors wide open.

The restaurant looks like one huge room, with a sushi bar in the middle, booths on the far side and a middle section with tables for two and four. Five long tables close to the booth catch your attention for a second, as does the mop bucket cart on the floor next to them.

The place is far from full, but it's not having a lazy day either, judging by the chatter of fresh out of school teens and some young adults.

...Most of which turn to look at you as the three of you make your way to the bar. It looks very different, but it feels just like entering an old western tavern.

But instead of being cowed, Mina waves cheerfully at the patrons, getting a few waves back while Kirishima walks in like he owns the place, giving respectful nods at the staff that looked his way.
You cross your arms, smirk and walk next to him, you ain't getting upstaged.

>"Welcome to Lago House of Sushi, young ones." A cheery old man in a white chef hat welcomes you as you take a seat by the bar. "Would you like to order now or peruse the menu first? We added a new desserts page this month, we have ice cream now!"

It's sort of amazing how the chef keeps to his craft as he speaks, placing the finished pieces on a platter and the platter on a conveyor belt, probably to be picked up by a patron… at the other side of the bar.

>"Thanks for the offer sir, but we are here for the challenge." Kirishima answers.
>"And you brought two lovely ladies to cheer you on!" The chef laughs. "You better not disappoint, boy!"
>"He better not, he's paying if we lose." Mina points out with a giggle. "But I'm sure he's in for the gear in the billboard."
>"None of the Midnight fans before has claimed that costume yet, so you may still get it." The chef comments, then adds with a chuckle "I'd give it to the blonde if I were you."
"I'd really like it." You interject. "But I'm going to win it myself."
>"I'm in for the ride, not the prize." Mina says, shrugging.
>"I see." The chef raises his head for the first time and turns to one of the other men inside the bar, not an actual chef, if the hats mean anything. "Karoshika, these are from your school, take them to the challenge tables and see to them, would you?"
>>
>"I will see to it, boss." He says, either nodding low or bowing lightly. "Follow me, I'll explain everything."
"Eat the thing in less than twenty minutes and get the costumes." You point out. "That's all there is to it."
>"Yeah…" He starts, then yawns and stretches. "Sorry, I'm a bit burned out. That's the gist of it, but you'll need to finish within the first 10 minutes if you want the big prizes. It's just memorabilia and discounts after that."
"That's fine, we can deal with dead fish." You boast, taking a seat at one of the long tables.
>"Be my guest… Sign these waivers while I arrange for the rolls." He says, placing three thin paperstacks on each of your tables.

A glance tells you it's just the typical 'Not our fault if you choke to death' paperwork. The three of you shrug and sign.

>"So, Walker..." Kirishima starts after the first few minutes of waiting.
>"...How long is 'twenty feet long'?" He asks you, gradually extending his arms, as if expecting you to tell him when to stop.
"Oh, just about… three to four me, boots to horns." You answer, placing hand flat over your head. "Or this table, end to end."
>"I thought it was two meters..." Mina says, astonished. "We may have messed up."
>"Well, we are already here." Kirishima says, clashing his fists together. "So let's keep going and see how far we can get."
"To victory and the spoils!" You·say, slamming your fists on the wooden table.
>"Yeah!" Mina says mirroring your gesture. "Or at least the free food."

A few minutes later the not-chef comes back hoisting along with three other men, the rolls, that appear to be just flexible enough to be carried through the restaurant.

>"Dear customers, we have three new challengers this evening." He says without raising his voice at all. He doesn't need to, as most patrons turn to look at the ridiculously long rolls. "Here they are, traditional seven ingredients ehomaki rolls. For new a spring of good tidings and great beginnings."

They are as big as you expected, about two inches wide and, well, twenty feet long.

>"Alright, script done. Here are the rules." The older boy explains. "No quirk usage, you can't throw up during the twenty minutes nor the next five after finishing, you are eating with your hands… Hm… Oh, and drinks are on the house."

>"So, what can I bring you?" He asks with a grin that says 'you fucked up, and I'm glad I get to see it'.

[Screw appearances, time is of the essence. Slurp it like the oversized noodle it is.]
This one won't end well, the way it's worded it seems like we wouldn't be chewing, which would be a mistake. First, we could choke. Second off, it won't really be broken down and there will be critical space in our stomach that can't be used.
[Rip and tear it with your teeth.]
Definitely better than previous. Since we'll be eating fast, we won't get the "no your stomach is full" alerts until we're already done.
[Take your time and cut parts off with your hands, you may lose time, but your gut will thank you later.]
This is risky, and less likely for us to succeed. We can regret this shit later.

Quick calculations tell me that with a diameter of 2 inches and a length of ~120 inches, we're gonna be eating around 377 sq inches within 10 minutes, then keeping it down for at least 15.

Then again, 5 guts, soooo... Imma go with

So, a 2x2 and a 9x2. That's... good? I mean, definitely better than the other two. Does that mean we succeed?

We beat the challenge, so the foods free and we got atleast a minor prize with the doubles, but to get a major prize we probably needed triples or quads
>>
>>2079522
The DC is a mystery to me. We need to both finish before the time limit (the more of the same thing we get, the faster. We only got 2) and keep it down (magnitude of the number. We got 9’s, very good.)

I can only assume that our technique and drink choice affected our DC, shifting it towards low magnitude big group or high magnitude small group. We got a high magnitude small group, so hopefully our technique and drink choice lined up with that.
>>
>>2078179
Fucking witnessed!
>>
>>2079538
With a 9x2 it's likely that we finished it and can keep it down. But it's totally possible that wasn't fast enough.

That said, it's not like this is high stakes here. We're playing for merch, not life or death.

"Nice try." You tell the boy. "Mix drinks with the rice in the roll and there is no way it can be done. I won't have anything."
>"Oh yeah. I sure love cleaning vomit." He deadpans. "What about you two?"
>"I'll take a Calpis." Mina says. "No real reason, I just like the milky taste."
>"A root beer, please." Kirishima asks.

>"Hey, a calpis and can of pain, due yesterday." The guy yells, and in a few seconds the drinks are delivered to your table. "I'm going to start the timer, so put on a show for the onlookers."

He signals at the bar and a beep briefly drowns out the soft ambient music, signaling your start.

Mina calmly grabs the start of her roll and starts taking bites out of it, as if it was a burrito.

Kirishima's approach, on the other hand, can be accurately described as 'an enthusiastic guillotine', as he bites, takes a swing from his can and swallows.

You are a tad more dramatic.

"Y'all don't know this, but eating big... Where I come from, this kinda thing is a sport." You comment as you take off your uniform's jacket, leaving it neatly folded on your chair and undoing the first button of your shirt. You'll need the wiggle room. "And I'm pretty good at those."

Your approach is rather simple, you take the tip of the roll and raise it to your face with both hands while leaning forwards, aligning your throat and mouth with it.
Then you wrap your tongue around it, and start pulling it in and swallowing, feeling your throat bulge as the roll makes it's way down.
After the first two feet, you close your eyes and fall into a rhythm. Coil and moisten, tongue pull, swallow, repeat.

But not even that could save you from the scratching of the roll against your throat, forcing you to keep your rhythm a bit slower than what you know you could do.

You keep at it for a few minutes, until you feel the tail end of the roll in your tongue. Then you throw your head back and push it down a with a finger, until the bulge on your throat slides down into your belly and you can breathe easily again.

"That's how we do back home." You boast, patting your midsection and looking around.

...There are a lot more people around the table now, and way too many phones pointed your way. Way too many flip phones, too.

>"... Uhm… Oh, right. 12 minutes and 28 seconds. You won… something." The guy who brought you your rolls says, shaking his head. "I'll go fetch your prize after the timer runs out."

You see that Mina decided to keep her pace, and made it to the last third of her roll. She notices you looking at her as she drinks and gives you a thumbs up and a nod.

Kirishima on the other hand, seems to have forgotten the eating part of the challenge, having left his roll on the table and looking at you while sipping his can of root beer…
Scratch that, he forgot the drinking part too, the damn thing is running down the sides of his mouth and down his chin.
>>
You fix that with a swift kick to the shin that gets him to quickly turn away, cough and if the color of his face is any indication, hack up a lung.

"Get a grip, man!" You tell him. "At least put some effort into it!"
>"R-right! I'm on it!" He says, slamming his empty can flat against the table and going at the roll with renewed vigor.

You patiently wait for the two of them to finish, both because it wouldn't be nice to try to speak with people trying to stuff their faces, and because moving too much feels like a bad idea right now.

And as the timer hits twenty and the sound system goes beep again you can see that, they… didn't make it.

Kirishima's efforts weren't good enough for a comeback, and Mina just stopped eating at the last two feet, looking a bit sick.

In the span of a few minutes, Kirishima went to pay, you were given a shirt with the caption '<DONT FEED THE ANIMALS>' and had your picture taken for the wall, then you were told to wait for a few minutes to get your actual prize.

>"I almost threw up..." Mina says, keeping her take out box as far away from herself as she was able to while holding it.
"Told you about the drinks" You tell her, nodding and putting your jacket back on.
>"... I really doubt that has anything to do with anything."
"Yeah, you say that." You point out. "But I won."
>"Okay, you got me there." She admits. "Still would have taken the Calpis."
"Besides, they are ready for that kinda thing, they have a mop cart right here." You say, pointing at said cart.
>"One word." She says. "Acid."
"Oh." That would explain why she paced herself.

A couple of seconds later, Kirishima comes back, tailed by the guy who saw to your meal comes back with a long non-descript white box slung over his shoulder.

>"Well, here's your prize. Just… don't open it here." He says, placing the box standing next to you. "Now, I've got to ask something. You are freshmen at U.A. right?"
>"You'd think the uniforms would give it away." Mina sort-of-answers.
>"With less sass, yeah." Kirishima answers, the asks. "Why?"
>"Because I've to flag a lot of videos for deletion right now." He says. "My fault for asking for a show, I guess."
"Okay? But what's in the box?" You ask, shaking the box, and getting nothing but a muffled sound.
>"A pillow, with its cover signed." He says, then dons an incredibly fake smile. "Please come back soon and remember that you can try again all week."

And with that, he leaves back for the bar.

>"...Weird." Mina says.
>"He's right though, that's going to pop up all over the net." Kirishima replies.
"I think she meant the guy, not whatever you are talking about." You point out.
>"Oh. Part times do that to people." The redhead replies. "Or work in general, not sure yet."
"Well, let's go. I really feel like laying sideways on the couch and watching something now." You say, and it's true. You'd really like to lay down for a while.
>"Sure, I can pick up what I wanted on the way." Kirishima says, shrugging.
