Mission to Lemuria was a complete success on all accounts. While Lemurian Tuskbears are known for their foul temper and an impressive biological arsenal that they often turn on anyone who encroaches on their territory, Ghost scouts from the 8th Company manage to prove that no beast can take a Space Marine, no matter how tough! One of the scouts got his leg mangled, but apart from that the whole mission went without a hitch! Magos Fram inspected mutated Tuskbears and soon realised, that these are not random mutations, but rather artificial genetic tempering. Magos Fram with the help of local Arbites soon tracked down one of the Nobles in the area who tried to profit from breeding more dangerous, bigger and aggressive Tuskbears that would be steered towards the lands of her competitors. Your marines helped apprehend her, the Noble was within days sentenced for geno-heresy and upon recommendation from Magos Fram, executed before your force left the planet. Planetary loyalty to Nobles decreases by 5% and increases by 5% towards Imperium. Hunted down tuskbears were sold at a discounted rate, but Chapter nonetheless profited, we gain +7W.

the most bland of compromises is to spend half on a beneficial cause.

Have our financial guy search for some investment that will benefit the local populace AND the chapter in some way. Maybe infrastructure that can be used for wartime operations, or something that might offer a return investment.

Actually, after reviewing the footage and notes from the Lemurian expedition, it seems that Fram is following the prescribed routines of dealing with the rites of the Omnisiah... However Klementhos makes a remark, that it is surprising at how quickly with so little equipment Fram managed to discern the exact cause of the mutations and even to track them down to their source. There's nothing overtly heretical about his methods, but...

Results have returned from the spies on Tachion Primaris. While some men and assets were lost, overall the mission was a success.

It seems that Deidara Ursus is indeed a very secretive person. She spends most of her time only in carefully managed social circles and the inner court. However you now know for sure that she's not spending there as much time as you would have thought. Over the course of the year she spent at least 8 months travelling off-world. While it was impossible to track her down between the stars (this would require a spy network of over 80 + dedicated ships or extra resources for bribes), we know that her ship was noticed in the vicinity of Oskea and Kronos. A party has landed on Kronos, their exact whereabouts or composition of the group isn't available. They stayed there for a week, then left. No information on Oskean visit is available, as local agent died from food poisoning, along with another 230 people that ate in the same canteen. While you are not sure if it was just an accident or counter-intelligence by the target, from now on you'll have to proceed with even more caution. One great thing about Deidara leaving the palace is that the security of her personal home gets slightly relaxed when she isn't there. You now know that she has two body doubles that she uses to "attend" non-important social occasions. Your agents have also managed to intercept and take pictures of (but then allowed to proceed) a package of various occult-related materials, such as crushed bone powder, magnetic stones, various types of blood, etc. that was delivered to one of the courtesans from Deidara's inner circle. You suspect, judging by previous patterns, that these things are meant for Deidara herself. You have suspicions that she might have psychic potential, also you are now pretty sure, that she leads and possibly trains or is trained by the other witch-ladies of her court. [cont.]

Personally I think we should spike the spook with some kind of minor disease or minor poison. That way if Deidara falls ill it confirms she's taking it.

However I'm hesitant to actually kill her at the moment as it may cause Larion Ursus to lash out madly at anyone, including us. And if Deidara is the only actual heretic among them we kill the only justification we have to the coup.
