"Well I'm the youngest son of the Cloudshouts, a noble(ish) family from Breelzell. Traditionally, all Cloudshout males are wizards so I was sent to study at Tyrovior University. I went through a bit of a necromancy phase when I was 13 but I ended up choosing conjuration as my focus since I was pretty good at it. Eventually I decided I was too intelligent for university and left to become an adventurer. My parents have cut me off until I finish school but I get by killing giant rats and stuff."

"I'm impressed Alina can cast spells since she only started learning magic like a week ago. Her form is lousy though, she should forget about archery and focus on studying abjuration as your apprentice.
Ulric doesn't seem that exceptional as a warrior to me, normally I'd prefer a more experienced front line fighter but he's pleasant company which is more important to me.

"He's not really an adventurer, he just sort of protects the family farm from goblins, robbers and one time a giant. When I was a little boy he gave me a real goblin sword and I played with it every day pretending to be a cool hero like in stories. I wanted to be an adventurer so I could do that kind of stuff for real."

Healing is a skill that lets you heal x hit points as long as you succeed in rolling under your healing score - x. You can heal crippled limbs with a -60 penalty. The healing skill can only be attempted 3 times. Then you need to find a shrine or temple and ask a god to recharge your healing.

A nice balance sounds good while we still have access only to beginner spells, kinda like how we use crushing talent more often than abjuration due low quality of spells. Once we get the big guns, that is when Alina should focus in the talent to use spells to her full potential.

Within is cube like room carved from the stone. Barely anything remains here but a pile of humanoid bones and a box of expired food buzzing with flies.

You search around pressing the walls for hidden buttons and compartments a sift through the refuse but find nothing of value.
