Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
King and Prince Vegeta battle to the death, and a new king is named. Meloka and Karn faced off against Freeza in a friendly bout, the emperor showing off his final form and Karn reached a new level of power. Pushing himself too far and past his limits to impress Lord Beerus, his heart stopped and he would have died if not for the intervention of his friend Freeza. As we rejoin Karn, he's been in bed for the last week, mandatory bedrest strictly enforced by Meloka to allow you to fully recover.

As you wake up, finally feeing back to normal, you first notice Meloka still asleep curled up at your side. You smile to yourself, rolling out of bed and walking to the showers on your ship. As you bathe, you think back on what happened. Using that transformation twice in a row like that without resting really emptied your body's reserves of strength. It isn't a finess form either, you're vastly slower compared to the previous form. But in exchange you can withstand much more punishment than usual, without losing any ground or taking real damage. Probably because you'd burnt through your power before Freeza could gauge your strength properly, but still. Need to be more careful, you think, stepping out of the water and drying off.

You walk back to your room, having forgotten to bring clothes with you. You walk into your room, Meloka stirring slightly at the sounds of the door as you get dressed. As you finish dressing, you clip your scouter on and hit scan, seeing yours has now climbed again thanks to your temporary-death experience. You're now up to-

You decide to wake Meloka with the good news. So you walk over and gently lift Meloka out of bed, holding her in your arms as you whisper in her ear. She stirrs, clinging to you and mumbling "Gggmmmrrnn." She remains there for a few seconds then bolts back up fully awake.

"Wait you're up? You're ok?! OhmygodIwassoworriedwhenyouweren'tgettinganybetteran-" she starts, before you pull her close and interrupt her hysterics. She clutches tight to you, with all her worry and fear she'd been feeling.

"And I have more good news." you say, Meloka leaning back and looking at you quizzically. "You're gonna be a mother."
"What are you talking about? We already have a daught..." she starts, then realization dawning on her. "Wait really? You're sure?!"
"Here, look for yourself." you say, clipping your scouter onto her ear. She starts the scan, eyes lighting up as she sees the display. She looks up at you, tears of joy forming in her eyes, then latches even harder onto you. You simply hold her, letting her settle back down. She eventually breaks her grip, floating back eye level with you.

"This is rather bad timing." she giggles.

"Well I'm gonna go see the king, you coming with?" you ask her, you both leaving the ship. As you step outside, you realize that its still predawn, the sun not yet up.
"Sure, let's go." she replies, you both taking to the air. Its a short flight, the sun rising up behind the palace as you approach.

You both touch down outside the hidden entrance Vegeta had shown you when he was the prince, you both making your way inside. You both wander through the palace, realizing you have no idea where he is. Turning on your scouter, you see his powerlevel coming from deeper inside the palace. The library, perhaps? You lead Meloka deeper into the depths of the palace, the guards you pass nodding to you and letting you pass, until you come to the library doors. You overhear two voices inside, one the new king's and the other a haughty, arrogant female's. Isn't that voice familiar?

"Ah, Karn, Meloka, right on time." she calls out through the door. "Come in, we have matters to discuss."
You look to Meloka, you both nodding in understanding, and opening the door.
You're greeted by the blue demon woman from before, still dressed the same and sitting on her spear, floating next to King Vegeta who looks up from hs book as you walk in.
"Hey Karn, glad you're ok." he says tiredly, looking relieved you're here.
"Vegeta are you okay?" Meloka asks, clearly concerned.
"Yeah yeah I'm fine." he replies, smiling a bit at Meloka's concern. "Karn, Meloka, allow me to formally introduce you to to Towa, Princess of the Demon Realm."

"I will admit, yes, the thought crossed my mind." Towa says. "Very well, I'll give you some time to make up your mind. I'll see you again soon, Super Saiyans."

And with that, she's gone.

"So, now what?" you ask King Vegeta.
"Now?" he asks you, befuddled. "What do you mean, now?"
"What now, my king?" you ask him. "I'm finally up and moving again. What would you have me do?"
"Oh, right." he says distractedly, turning back to the book. "Just get ready to leave and conquer our new homeword. We'll need you and Meloka in top shape for this mission, Freeza told me the natives of Kashyyyk have an average power level in the hundreds of thousands."
"Woah really?" Meloka asks, startled.
"Yeah, really. So get ready, you two. You're going to be the vanguard of our assault."
"Thank you, my King." you say. "We'll be ready."

"Let's go check up on Chaya before we get started." you tell Meloka, making your way to the closest exit.
"Sure, let's go." she replies, you both floating up and out of the palace, taking off towards the hospital. As you fly over the city, you see everyone starting their day. Some have already gone to the arena, most are at the various food places around grabbing a bite to eat. You and Meloka soar overhead, taking in the sights before you land on the hospital roof, going inside past reception and making your way to the ward to check up on your little girl.

You can hear her long before you get there, her cries much louder than before. As you open the door, you hear a second cry join the first and an odd sight greets you: baby Broly is flying right towards Chaya! You both dash to intercept him, fearing the worst, but neither of you is fast enough. Broly lands in Chaya's crib, your daughter ceases crying and opens her eyes. When she sees Broly beside her she smiles, settling back down. Baby Broly just sighs out contentedly, the two infants' tails wrapping around each other.

"Awww, that's adorable." Meloka says softly. "Think we should disturb them, or just sneak back out before she notices?"

"Of course." she replies. "I was going to do that training myself, but it'll work better if we do it together. Let's do it!"

You both transform into Super Saiyans and bolt out into the wastes to begin your training. You both spend your days sparring and pushing eacch other, clashing over and over again. The first two weeks of this training, you both end up dropping your forms before even half a day passes, the strain too much for your bodies to handle. The last week, however, Meloka has a breakthrough!

By lowering her energy output as a Super Saiyan, she's able to better regulate and hold onto the impressive power of the Super Saiyan form. It takes you a few more days, but you also get hang of it. The last two days before your departure, you and Meloka both manage to go an entire day as Super Saiyans! From early that morning to that night, you both manage to make it the entire day holding onto that power.

Ok GDQM this has been great and all with the lower powered Saiyans, but seriously in the show Goku went from "over 8,000" to 180,000 with one (admittedly big due to damage but nothing worse than what we just did with ultra) zenkai and 6 days of gravity training the difference in rate of power gain is getting ridiculous at this point.
I love your quest to death but these sub 2-3 thousand gains per zenkai/fight/training is monotonous at best.

You both hear the cheers of your fellow Saiyans echoing out all these miles from the city. You and Meloka are caught up into the king's speech as well, cheering your king on. Then Meloka turns to you, eyes bright.
"Looks like its time to go." she says, you both taking off towards your ship to get ready to disembark. After a few moments of silence, she turns to you and says, "He's grown up, hasn't he?"

This is a far point, I do need to rework Zenkai boosts now that we've passed the 50k barrier and gone a tier up. Although the Goku point is pretty moot. The gravity training/zenkais goku went through to get to Namek were insane, and you've done nothing to compare to that sheer level of physical abuse. Yet.

"That he has." she says, you both landing before your ship and boarding. Walking up to the bridge, you see Sarada, Tunnip, and surprisingly General Nappa as well all waiting for you.

I can understand that logic but there is still the fact that some of the zenkai's in the show
were 180,000 to 3,000,000,000 and Goku took less of a beating then Karn does almost on the regular and Vegeta going from 30,000 to 250,000 after Recome where once again it wasn't as bad as what just happened to Karn.
Granted because of the way this quest works if we get huge boosts each time Karn gets the shit kicked out of him then he would be able to kill whis with his pinky in no time (Hyperbole obviously but you get the idea) but we still need bigger power boost's to get a sense of real progression as being stuck with such small progression is getting frustrating (I know this is something Saiyan's experience at at times but this is when they are hitting unbelievable levels of power not sub Krillin on Namek levels( Yes in our base we are still weaker then he was against Frieza.)

I think the point is power levels are bullshit, and GD doesn't want us to go from 0 to Stronger then Frieza in one thread.
That's when you end up with unsustainability and pacing issues.

Honestly, I kinda like the pace we're at, though I can see bumping Zenkai up to like 1d5000+2500 or something.

The problem is we are doing the kind of training now that made Goku go from being at a level that could be stomped by 17 and 18 to a level where he could keep up with Perfect Cell so pacing is kinda out of the window either we get big boosts or we continue at this sluggish rate of gains this could be fixed by giving us better zenkai's and more of the lower training rolls maybe now we take the highest to training rolls of the three and when we get near death zenkai's we roll some d10000's or maybe d100000's depending on what GDQM thinks.

When Vegeta says go, your ship lifts off, along with every single Saiyan Attack Pod. The entirety of the Saiyan Army lifts off towards your new home world, your ship leading the charge.

As your ship breaks through the atmosphere, one of your droids turns to you and says, "Three months until we arrive on Planet Kashyyyk."
"Three months, huh?" Turles says, finding a spot right in the cockpit and laying down. "This is going to be the best spaceflight I've ever experienced."
"Just wait." Leyas says, laughing at him. "When you have to go back to traveling by Attack Pods, you're rally gonna miss this. Hey sis, c'mon. Let's get a turn in the Gravity Chamber, I want to see what this 10x Planet Vegeta's gravity is all about."
"Alright sure." she says, the siblings walking off.

"I'm going to take some time getting back to the basics." you tell Nappa. "Throw the chamber up to 10x, strap on some weights, and grind out the basics again. Been too long since I've really worked on the essentials. What about you?"

"I'm gonna get back into the Gravity Chamber myself, cranking it back up to higher levels." he replies. "I need to get used to higher levels again before we get down there."

"What about you Meloka?" you ask, now curious. "Got any special training plans?"

"Just target practice." she says, smirking at you and sending you a mental image of Freeza's Death Beam. "I've gotten it down, just have to work on my aim. But we gotta wait until the chamber's open again, let's go catch some down time."

With that she winks at you, then floats off towards your room. You smirk, waving to Nappa as you follow her and enjoy a few pleasant hours together alone. Over the next three months, you all prepare in your own ways for the coming battle. You get back to the essentials, working on basic strikes, evasive maneuvers, blocks, and grabs. You do this while having 20 pound weights strapped to your arms and legs, then the Gravity Chamber cranked up to 10x Planet Vegeta's gravity. While you're using the Chamber, Meloka's in as well working on her accuracy with the Death Beam attack, hitting moving targets as she flies around as well, reaching the point where she can hit two different targets moving in different directions with either hand. You feel much more confident in your ability in the coming battle, but you feel you made almost no progress with the Gravity Chamber itself.

When the fateful hour arrives, you are with Meloka, Nappa, Turles, and Tunnip in the mess, getting a bite to eat.
"Planet Kashyyyk will be within sight in two minutes. Captain, come to the bridge immediately."
"Well, looks like its time." Nappa says, rising to his feet. "Time to go."
The mood at the table changes immediately, everyone scrambling to readiness. You leap up and head for the bridge, the others following close behind. Leyas and Sarada beat you to the bridge, everyone gathering just in time to see the planet come into view.

The planet is massive, a giant green and blue orb floating in the void of space.
"No moon." Nappa says, studying the planet. "So we'll have to rely on Power Balls for the rest of the troops to stand a chance."

"Karn and General Nappa, come in." Vegeta's voice comes through on comms. "Do you have a visual as well?"
"Yes your highness." Nappa responds. "We're awaiting your order to attack now."
"Go ahead, you're the vanguard for this mission. Secure a landing zone for our troops, then I'll send in the rest of the soldiers after you. Pick your target, and destroy it."
"Thank you, your highness." you reply. "We'll show these natives what we can do!"
"Give them hell." Vegeta replies, then shuts off the comms.

"Sounds like a plan, everyone get ready." Nappa says. "We're going in."
"About time, let's go!" Leyas says cracking his knuckles. "I've been waiting for this."
"This is gonna be fun!" Sarada says, grinning like a maniac.
"Tunnip, Meloka, when we jump out you're both in charge of tossing Power Balls up." you say, going over the battle plan you and Nappa'd devised on the trip.

"We've broken through the atmosphere, lowering the ramp now. Good hunting captain."
"LET'S GO!" you shout to your teammates, running back to the ramp and leaping from your ship. Everyone follows after you, Meloka and Tunnip bringing up the rear as they charge up their Power Balls, your ship turning back towards open space. Before any of you can react, a wave of energy rises from the ground, barely missing your ship. Your team all rushes towards the source, dodging colossal blast after colossal blast until you land as a group before the perpetrators.

The beasts are easily seven foot tall each. These monsters are powerfully built, shaggily-furred creatures. They roar at you as you all land, a rather unique sound.

You take full advantage of their moment of distraction, quickly charging up a Full-Power Energy Wave. They begin gathering their power to fire another colossal beam at Meloka and Tunnip, but you strike first.

"FULL POWER!" you shout, firing your blast at the trio. They're caught completely off-guard, unable to get their defenses up before your attack hits them head-on. You feel the trio being pushed back by your attack, but they're beginning to push back. You strain against their combined overwhelming might, keeping their attention on you instead of your transforming teammates. And it works. By the time they're able to deflect your attack up and away, you hear a chorus of angry roars. Before they can move to attack, Nappa crashes down on them, boot first and roaring in challenge. But their combined might is too much, pushing Oozaru Nappa's massive foot off of them and leaping into the air together, back-to-back. You watch Leyas and Sarada's Oozaru forms rush them from different sides, before Meloka lands beside you.

"Should we transform into Oozaru too?" Meloka asks you. "Or should we jump into it and become Super Saiyans?"

The struggle between the two incompatible powers places a huge strain on you, every nerve on fire as it feels like you're being torn apart by the two powers.

"Karn, you okay?" Meloka asks, worried.
"Y-Yeah." you reply, panting heavily. "Seems that's still quite a ways beyond me." your voice booms out as you rise to your feet, Meloka flying up and landing on your shoulder. You turn your attention back to the fight, your team finishing up the last one now. Nappa'd caught the last one in his fists, crushing the life from the creature and dropping its broken body to the ground.

As he roars in victory, you see a group of a dozen or so of the native creatures rushing towards your group. Tunnip and Leyas see the approaching creatures and growl out in warning, the rest of your team turning to face the approaching threat. The beasts roar out their challenge, rushing your group.

You bellow out in challenge, rushing the group of attacking natives. Nappa, Leyas and Sarada charge as well, Tunnip and Turles staying back and gathering their power. The four of you roar in unison, throwing your fists together at the pack. You feel your fist connect, smashing into two of the creatures and sending them flying.

Another two dash towards your face while you're open, but before they can reach you Meloka shouts, "Hyaaah!" and fires off a Dual Energy Wave. They each bat aside the attack, the gap between their powers and her base form absurd, but it buys you the time you need. You throw yourself backward, raising your leg and crashing your foot into the creatures' backs and sending them flying as you flip back to your feet. The first two you'd smashed away rush back, you slapping them both down into the ground with a hammer fist. The force of your attack shatters the ground beneath you, driving the creatures into the earth. But instead of crushing them, you feel yhe two forcing your fist up and off of them. Together, they have enough power to surpass your Oozaru form's strength, rising to their feet.

If they can overpower you together, you'll just smash the puny creatures seperate! With a roar you leap into the air, raising your fists high. The two creatures leap after you, trying to close to effective range. Before either of them is ready, you swing your fists down to crush both of them. The one to your left dodges, but the other takes the full force of your swing, your fist crushing him in one mighty blow.

Your fists hit the ground, crushing it and sending chunks flying. You lift your fists and see the one laying in the crater, broken. You look around for the other, but it finds you first. Leaping off of the ground, you charge the beast. It tries to dodge your left, but you grab he beast in a crushing grip. Before it can escape, you charge up an Energy Punch with your right. The beast sees what's coming, but its far too late for mercy now. You smash the creature into the ground with your left, pulling back your hand as your right descends. Your attack connects, the creature and ground exploding from the blast, the force knocking everyone over. Including yourself.

As the dust settles, you rise up off of the ground, looking around. You spot Meloka on the ground, you scooping her up and lifting her to your face. You hear her giggle, rolling over and looking up at you.

"I'm fine." she says, standing up on your palm and dusting herself off. "Lucky shot."
"HEADS UP." Oozaru Nappa roars out, everyone turning to look where he's pointing. From what looks like a fortress on the only hill on the small island poking above the treeline, you see several dozen of the native warriors take flight, all headed straight towards your group.

"Looks like its time to get serious." Meloka says, transforming into a Super Saiyan in your palm. Her golden aura lights up the devestation nearby, the devestation your team's caused in such a short time. Your team all prepare themselves as the beasts charge.
