The warmth and reassurance Yzia surrounds your mind with is soothing, protective, and is more than enough to ensure your safety and peace of mind. You bind yourself in place with the chains, which might be a touch uncomfortable due to their somewhat stretched nature (a result of Yzia's sudden growth) but it worth not falling off mind flight.

Also, very becoming, to have you entrapped and held like some exotic sacrifice, Yzia observes with great amusement.

Closing your eyes you draw upon the Elder Power, much as you draw upon the arcane force you cultivate. It diffuses throughout your being, your aura, your mind, refreshing and preparing you. You clinically observe how it can be transformed into the arcane force you cultivate, and into psychic energy that you replenish when resting. You smile as you realize that the elan referred to her kind doing something similar when they meditate to replenish and restore their own capabilities. Perhaps the elan emulated the Elder Ones, or vice versa.

You have enough of the elder Power to see you through perhaps a single combat, but it is enough for remaining at the lair, provided you do not get involved in a duel or an assassination attempt. Calling your personal spell-book to you from wherever in the Astral Fundament it was hidden (does it actually even exist there except as an idealized concept?) you page through it, laying the spells within across you mind with the intent of dealing one-on-one with whatever you may encounter within the lair. You leave gaps in the matrices, of course, ready to be filled with the application of arcane forces and Astral fragments and concepts of magic, but by and large you're ready to take on just about anyone short of Dunzamn himself.

And perhaps him as well.

You send your grimoire back to that non-space, and stretch, making Yzia shudder and growl pleasantly as you pull taut the chains and fasteners in your efforts. My love....I have the opportunity to give Tzanzi a piece of her own mind. She laughs softly within your mind, until she realizes you are quite serious. There is a price for it, of course, but it is something we have both avoided twice before, having better uses for such powerful magics. The masks and Schechei's ascension to true githyanki, two things that allow for better warfare against the enemy; Tzanzi can fight them well enough as she stands, so the resources were worthwhile spent elsewhere. Now, however....

Naturally the question is what the price would be. she is certainly intrigued by the possibility, and she doesn't seem to harbor any concern over the idea that you would wish to be Tzanzi's mate after she became whole once more. Though, that could be her massive draconic ego.

No, Akko, I also believe that the change it would bring over Tzanzi would make her less of a romantic appeal, though no less a friend or lover. Siobhan's song is for you alone in this instance; you can tell. Tzanzi may see you as viewing her no differently than others, but her very difference is what makes her so attractive to you as more than a lover. It is perhaps an irony that the very thing which makes her a damaged creature make you want to mate with her.

So your both saying my perversity is what draws me so strongly to Tzanzi and her being made whole will make her less of a mate and more of a friend and lover than that.

Just so. The other truth that would come to light is that you would turn Tzanzi into a killing machine without equal if you restored her ability to communicate with the rest of the cadre, as well as grant her the ability to wield a Silver Sword. You have to admit the opportunity to do just that, to make her perfect companion, would be an incredible opportunity and test the limits of your skills as a weapon crafter. But again, what price?

The elan gave me a gem that would simulate the transformation of myself to an elan. It would take a moment of this world, but leave my body helpless while I explored the inner world of the gemstone and my mind. I would have Yashi vet the device, and perhaps Auena as well, but the fact remains it is a potent creation made by someone who claimed to be a match for me. Yzia scoffs slightly, but you recall to her the temple and what lay within, with the power and forces required to create what she had claimed to have built – to say nothing of literally weapon-weights – maybe an armor-weight – of liquefied time. I am inclined to believe she could at least challenge me in a duel, possibly defeat me.

I would say the price is minuscule compared to what benefits it could bring all of us, especially Tzanzi. She would be deeply indebted to you – no, Akko, she would consider it a debt worth her life, I am sure of it. Maintaining the dubious thought that she would feel that indebted, you acquiesce to her point for the moment. I believe she would agree – if the crystal is all it was claimed to be and nothing more.

She wings towards the Lair, and you stand upon her neck, peering past her crown of thorns and the mask that you crafted for her. I will bring the idea to her then. We have a day, at least. You and she will accompany me back. I studied the place well enough hat I can teleport us there easily – if you assume a slightly smaller form. Her amused thought that you like it big amuses Siobhan no end, and you counter with the idea that she hasn't yet seen you as a male and therefore has no idea how big you might be.

Yzia lands in the nesting area (though you only refer to it that way to yourself as dragons are easily offended) and Allows you to dismount, before taking on the form of a nicely voluptuous half-blooded creature, a human tainted with outsider blood of a type you aren't familiar with. Long grey hair shimmers with a nacreous gleam, while her eyes gleam like polished silver. Her skin tone is a soft, pearly white, faintly sheened by faint iridescence. Siobhan clothes her in pale, nearly translucent silks, which she is thanked profusely for, more for the allure it grants than the clothing provided.

Though you could easily transport yourself and Yzia to your Cadre's living space, you instead chose to walk, taking the opportunity to see the few wounded and the victorious. By and large it seems the raid was successful, though most of what riches are being gone through are jewelry and the like, human make if you are any judge (you are). You do pause, trading some of your own work for a lovely golden collar, one which will fit nicely along your throat and has a shimming diamond of high quality set into the heavy gold. It is of a quality good enough that you could enchant it, although you think it might be as much fun to wear it for Yzia when you have a chance alone.

In the conversations you have in passing as you indulge yourself in some similar trades, you find that the raid upon the human kingdom was met with some resistance – and that no one captured any royals as of yet, though they ransacked the aristocracy quite nicely. The mercenaries were more than worthy opponents, and combined with the royal guard, were successful in repelling the majority of the raiders within the castle. The dragons avoided the area largely because of the numerous acruballistae and ballistae; you make a note that you'll want to perhaps furnish your dragon with further defensive spells.

There were less assaults on the elven home trees, but they were moderately successful; the number of elven childer is respectable, though the casualties were far worse. Elven wizardry cost a number of lives, though no dragons of course. You were the only ones who assaulted the dark tree, and it turns out your haul was the largest, and also significant enough to have an immediate response from the elves – they are already offering ransom, though it is with some surprise that they find out you were the head of that cadre.

Bragging rights indeed, though you don't care much for them. Yzia, on the other hand, preens and hangs on you, decorously claiming your superiority over most others, though much more subtly than all that.

You make note of particularly interesting slaves, especially among the upper nobility of the humans, some of them looking very lovely, and many well fed and thus nicely curved. “no princesses among them,” Yzia comments mildly, “but I suspect some of the ones kept will end up bearing half dragon spawn.” Her idle comments are spoken in your native tongue, which frightens the captures all the more, save for one. She is dark skinned and dressed in clothing clearly not the norm in this area.

You pause and address her. You. Where are you from. The humans near her cower, your telepathic voice potent with threat and terrifying to their inexperienced minds.

“It does not matter; far from here. Those of my circle will come for me.” The image of circle includes other humans and some smaller folk, gnomes or halflings, perhaps, and a curiously intense half-elf. Servants of nature and the wilds. You narrow your eyes, and then gesture to the knights overseeing the prisoners.

This one is a priest of the wilds. Her kith will be seeking her, using magic and power. Isolate her from the rest, in a defensible position. Tell her captors I will trade for her if they had planned on keeping her. The priestess' anger is nearly palpable, and you look at her. You will serve as bait for those foolish enough to attempt your rescue, nothing more.

“Monstrous bitch!” she hisses at you and she starts to cast a spell. The guards immediately hammer her psyche into submission, crushing her will with Ego whips and making the other slaves cower from her in terror. She looks up at you with glazed, terrified eyes.

Undoubtedly, you agree with her, but she hasn't the strength of will to reply, only to sob in trembling fear and helplessness.

After making arrangements with the knights to inform Dunzamn of your plan and to suggest a couple of stronger cadres be placed for a capture or slaughter, you continue towards what is now home. Siobhan contacts Fehr Vaed for you, and Yashi is indeed suffering from battle lust, though she is unaware of what it means and Tzanzi and Auena are unsure of how you would like to deal with it as yet. As you suspected, she is far past the point of caring what sex she has; she just needs sex. Kteine however, desperately needs a male. Tzanzi is unwilling to allow her access to such, there are too many who would use her to their advantage against you, in her estimation.

More likely she's being sadistic and enjoying their turmoil while she indulges Auena and Falna has Schechei. Siobhan giggles, but suggests that is accurate, while Yzia, privy to the conversation from Siobhan's and your side, thinks that is just adorable of Tzanzi.

That being said, if you can work it in without spooking Yashi too much, maybe introduce some light breathplay since needing to breathe isn't something she had to deal with in the Astral.

I'm done with cleaning out my stomach, but the nausea and hunger pangs won't go away for a long time. It's the same sort of thign that happens when you drink too much cranberry juice on an empty stomach or drink too much tea and don't eat anything. The stuff in both of those that wakes you up and makes you more alert is the base substance for my medication (theophylline, not caffeine). So, I'm essentially overdosed. I'll try and sleep it off and check thread in the "morning."
