+Intro+
In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium there is only war. Imperium of Man, once strong and proud, now is slowly crumbling, whole regions of space are lost to the horrors that lurk in the darkness of the void. Sector Deus is just one of the thousands of Imperial provinces that form the front line in the war to defend Humanity itself. Corruption from within and aggression from without threaten it. But the Emperor sends us hope. High Lords of Terra commissioned a Chapter of Adeptus Astartes, finest warriors Humanity has ever seen, to defend this region of space. They are the last line of defence that hold Age of Ruin at bay. They are the Ghosts of Retribution and this is their tale.

Allo.

I'm proposing we make the Kruun intel public so as to see Ursus' reaction.

Other than that, wait until we can interrogate Larissa Mahian a bit more.

Get the Noctis spy network up and running and start researching that Spook production.

Have a chat with Garant. What does he think regarding Anastasia Belladon. Her family is very powerful, is perhaps using her crime as leverage an option? ie we offer not to make her crimes public (though still arrest and punish her of course) and save the Belladon Dynasty's face in return for their support?

we should have the same chat with our Belladon dude, he might know best how they would react etc.

>Making Kruun intel public
A dangerous gambit, but possible. I would need a few more players to agree to this and also a clarification of what exactly you want to publicise.

I believe we have determined how long it is going to take to set up the spy network on Noctis, am I wrong?

>>1948813
Garant's position on this is simple.
>Whether you promise her anything or not, she will have to go after the coup. While many of my peers accuse me of radicalism because of my flexibility, as a witch she is a danger and as an Inquisitor I will make sure that she rots in the dungeons of Nobis. But yes, using her as a leverage might work. Just let's not reveal our hand too early.

"Oh I agree. I'm merely suggesting that keeping it from public knowledge would be highly valued by the Dynasty. If made public such a thing could severely damage their reputation."

>A dangerous gambit, but possible. I would need a few more players to agree to this and also a clarification of what exactly you want to publicise.

How so? Have we done anything illegal by scouting out the area?
>>
>>1948898
Triarchy most likely has spies in Sector Deus. If this information becomes public, they will know that you are planning to visit and that you are serious about it if this information is getting publicised. Even though they have intercepted your scouts, they might believe that it's just a routine scouting operation, but if Kruun becomes the focus of public debates in the Imperium, usually only one things follows this - a crusade.
>>
>>1948917
Well in that case....I suppose we should fast forward to when we can interrogate Mahian again.

Furthermore, have the other factions updated any of their demands given the rogue witch coven information?
>>
>>1948917
well
another spy network
IN THE TRIACHY BORDER WORLDS
to get some idea what they have and the general outlook
their main worlds are probably too high defended

also we need info on what assets they took over from IoM back then, much stuff is not built fast in 40k-universe. So we might have some idea of their overall capability
>>
>>1948917
Another question.
How is/was the triarchy resupplying Kruun? Presumably they have no great farmlands.
Was the Imperial Navy not blockading the system?
>>
>>1949016
In the grim darkness of the 41st millennium no one can figure out hydroponic farming

Let me know if you want to do the timeskip.

More favourable conditions:

Ecclesiarchy:
They will help you for any 2 of the conditions outlined.

Arbiters:
They will join you for any 1 of their 3 conditions.

Nestorium:
They will help you for a 1 condition out of those outlined.

Also, regarding Inquisition led by Thomas Garant - they support you, but you will still have to to complete two of his conditions, specifically 3 and either 4 or 5. Also Garant will still want Astartes bodyguards for the duration of the coup.

>>1949012
How serious are you about this? Would you like to try to establish it now?

>>1949016
>>1949038
Unfortunately information is insufficient, while Imperial Navy runs a low-maintenance blockade, Tyrel Hagen assures you that there are no regular support/reinforcement shipments coming through.

So, the Chapter wants to:
>Pursue political action
>Timeskip
>Other
>>
>>1949088
>How serious are you about this?
Very
>Would you like to try to establish it now?
before the timeskip would be good. IF the chapter can cough up funds for that
>>
>>1949094
I'd support putting 100w into it.

>>1949088
Just skip to next year, when Tyranus network will be up and we can interrogate Larissa again.
>>
>>1949088
>>1949016
answer to this, please

>>1949038
assumptions lead us nowhere.
where are they, how many...
>>
>>1949088
I've got to be honest. I'm quite surprised the Inquisiton and arbites still want terms given the presence of rogue witches in Ursus' court.

I'm happy to help guard Garant, and the =][= will have an input in the new government anyway.

We can low-key inform the Arbites that retaking Kruun is part of the plan against the triarchy.

What about the SoB? Surely they must not still want terms given rogue witches?
>>
>>1949088
>>Also Garant will still want Astartes bodyguards for the duration of the coup.
I'm much more agreeable to bodyguards for the coup duration than indefinitely.

Also recommend to admiral Hagen since he is running a low maintenance blockade to abruptly change the schedule on his patrols. If he suddenly catches a lot of smugglers that tells us there are a lot who have been timing his patrols to evade them
>>
>>1949088
Also dispatch Gladius Squadron Gamma to observe Kruun from the edges of the system.
>>
>>1949094
>>1949095
Good, Xyptus will start working on it as soon as he is finished with Tyranus network. Please note, that in this assignment he might die due to operating in enemy territory. Sending him there will be the most dangerous task (about 20% chance of death), afterwards he can work from the shadows.

>>1949098
As I posted, blockade doesn't let through any regular shipments into Kruun, which means that it's not relying on outside support. You know from other Imperial sources that a few species of underground fungi have been cultivated on Kruun for feeding the prisoners, however the planet was still receiving regular food shipments from elsewhere in Deus. Current situation is unknown.

>>1949111
It's still a risk and they have only your possibly false evidence to rely on. Also you are operating on the level where power matters almost as much (if not sometimes more) than principles. If they can get something from you, they will try to. Especially Garant. He likes and supports you, but you understand very well, that he knows how important Inquisitorial support is to you and he'll try to make the most of it for himself as well. In order to help the Imperium in the future, obviously!

Sororitas are happy to purge the witches in the court, but if you will want their support in the coup as well (step forward and bend the knee to your chosen successor - not part of their duties at all), they want more funding for their covenants. You feel that you can get them to go along with your plan without promising them anything, however you suspect that they might resent you later. You can also just keep them as reluctant allies and just use them for purging.

Arbitres are happy with your promise, you have their support. Key thing is that they want Kruun to have Arbites sovereignty once it's retaken.

>>1949115
>>1949127
Done, please roll d100. Tyrel Hagen listens to your advice and allows you to reshuffle the blockade according to how you see fit [roll Strategy].

I say go for it. What do we think guys?

We can pledge the OoBT our thanks, and a favour in return. Funding for their new convent would be up to the new rulers though. Of course we can laud the SoB assistance.

As for Garant. We're happy to keep him guarded and have a say in the new government. I think we'd also be fine with giving him a favour but reserve some limitations.

Chapter receives wealth from Artoria and Varda.

Please roll d100 for gang violence in Varda
Please roll d100 for Chapter events
Please roll d100 for Sector events

You can again interrogate Larissa if you wish.

Your spy networks within Nobility and Sector Tyranus are now ready. Also, Arbites Precinct is now constructed on Varda. Do you want Arbiters to use:
a) Soft procedures (low bonus)
b) Standard procedures (medium bonus, negative effect on the happiness of population)
c) Any means necessary (large bonus, population is terrified, material damage inflicted)
To finish the gang war?

He is happy as long as his favour will allow him to call up at least a company worth of marines if he needs them. He wants something that leaves a mark.

>Order
They are quite happy with this arrangement, but everyone realises that as Ghosts are the leaders of this coup, they will have enormous authority with the new rulers, so most likely you will have enough power to sway their opinion either in favour or against the Sisters.

Also spy infrastructure and if like to gift some Wealth towards our spymaster and ask him if he's had plans on taking an apprentice either from the chapter or anywhere else

Hi anon. You would need to send one of your characters to look for opportunities to invest or otherwise you can go to the Merchant League, but they will take a cut.

Xyptus would be willing to take on an apprentice if you would assign one.

Tome of the Raven... Was anyone specifically assigned to do it? Because it's a complicated task, it should be in the expected events.

+++

Finally, after years of work, ancient codes of the Horus Heresy era are decrypted. It appears that what you have managed to get your hands on are series of orders written by the New Emperor Sanguinius that were supposed to be passed on to 32nd Imperial Fleet and accompanying 89th and 255th Imperial Army Corps. These orders gave detailed instructions for Commander Sergey Haradenko to enter Sector Deus from the rimward angle and strike at the flank of Night Lords front, preventing them from approaching Ultramar and the northern reaches of Imperium Secundus. You are greatly confused as to why Sanguinius is referring to himself as the Emperor and what is this Imperium Secundus he’s talking about.
While most of the things in the letters seem to be of interest only to historians and are so old that there is no use out of them, one offhand note catches your attention.
>Commander Haradenko, I would like to note that, some of the useful staging points for your assault would be worlds of C886, C569 and moons of C35 in Subsector Kriptero. However before you start your assault I would like to ask you to leave limited package of supplies on C569 [VLDSTN] for the local population to defend themselves in the temporary absence of Imperial authority. I suggest hiding supplies in mountain chain F33-45-112 so that enemy orbital scanners wouldn’t be able to detect them. Leave enough weapons, ammunition and other supplies to arm quarter of a million men and add some heavy weapons at your own discretion. I personally propose leaving a Titan as well just in case if Night Lords would show up in force. Make sure that planetary governor is informed of what is expected of him and leave enough Techno-Mages to take care of the machines.

Subsector Kriptero -> Subsector Cryptus
VLDSTN -> Wladistan

I think we should send a strike cruiser and a company to start searching mountain ranges o Wladistan.
