However, I imagine he shows a great amount of deference to shinobi higher ranked than him and at least acknowledges those as talented as he is. Is all about Improvement, Glory, the Clan, etc.

It's the day of the Graduation ceremony, many of the other Genin's parents or guardians are already there with their own children, busily talking among themselves.

The only other Genin beside yourself not already talking with their families are the two loners at the school, Naruto and Sasuke. Of course that was understandable, they're both orphans after all. You've thought of asking them about that a couple of times, but that'd take you away from your training.

Besides, you've noticed the ways the Hyuuga girl stared at Naruto, if she liked him he had to be trouble.

An ANBU agent suddenly appears in front of you, not scaring you but surprising you all the same.

"Hikigaya?" He asks.

The ANBU agent hands you a letter, not a scroll or a document, but a simple white envelope with the seal of your Clan on it. "Your cousin apologizes for not making it to your graduation, his mission took longer than expected."

You take a seat at the window, ignoring the prattling of those two girls as you look outside. You try to take your mind off your disappointment in your cousin and in yourself for feeling anything short of pride in him. It's not his fault that he's such a skilled shinobi, it's not his fault the 3rd Hokage needs to utilize his skills so much.

You watch as a hawk swoops down by the window, with grace and cunning it dives low to the grass just outside the classroom, snatching up an unsuspecting rabbit and flying off with it.

Now that was talent to be proud off. It's a shame you don't know any summoning Jutsu's, you believe a hawk companion would be really useful.

You sense the pudgy footsteps of Choji before you hear them, and the loud crunching sound of potato chips is a clear give away too. "Hello Choji, having a good day?" You say, not looking away from the window.

"You know it's kind of creepy how you do that Hikigaya." Choji says. Crunch. "Ya' gotta' learn to be less weird."

Tbh the issue I was having is that Hikigaya is basically chunin tier at a minimum already, and is very well-suited for frontliner work. A Ninjutsu kekkai genkai and Kenjutsu master mesh very well with this concept

Kori always struck you as much too happy a person, at least for someone with her set of abilities. A bloodline limit that let the user control ice and weaponize it? Pretty powerful stuff.

Sasu being your other team mate was actually a welcomed surprise to you. You knew of the fearsome Kenjutsu the clan had spent years upon years perfecting, honing it into a deadly art form. If it wasn't for his clans treatment of Choji's, you figured the two of your clans could get along better.

"HI HIKI!" Kori shouts, jumping over to you for a tackle hug. You easily shunshin away to avoid it, causing the girl to smack her head on the rock wall. Oh well, at least she was wearing a helmet.

"Hikigaya." Sasu says, giving you a head nod as he keeps his hands in his pockets. "Was a bit worried with miss ditz here told me we were on the same team, but I figure if you're on it too we shouldn't have that hard of a time." He pauses, looking around for a bit. You can hear Yuki groan behind you. "Seen the Jonin yet?"

You feel...a little annoyed. You're happy for your team mate, and you NOW understand the reason you came here, but you can't help but feel put off for not grasping the whole reasoning right away.

"Most of the other Jonin instructors like to give little tests to their Genin, as a way to see if you have earned that headband or not." Ko says, walking around the back of the statue. You can hear some rustling and clanging. Is he bringing out blades? "I'm not so cruel, after all I'm just a recent Jonin myself. So instead I thought we'd do something a little more rustic." When he comes out from behind the statue he's holding a couple of metal buckets and wash clothes. "It's always important to remember the shinobi and citizens of Konoha who aren't here with us, and it's also important to treat their graves with respect. "I hear you." You reply, standing over the wriggling bandits body and planting your foot into the back of his neck. "Tekkotsu." You mutter, the entirety of your foot turning to a cold, dark iron. The increased weight crushes the bandits neck easily, and with another mutter your foot returns to normal, if a bit tingly. "I wonder what Hiki's up to?"

Hokori wasn't really your name, your parents hadn't been assholes who decided to name their son 'Pride', just like how Ikari's name wasn't really Ikari, or how Namakemono wasn't really called 'Sloth', they were code names, so that you could hide your identity and stuff from people who didn't need to know such things.

But back to the matter at hand, carrying the package. It was a large, rectangular box. Painted black with red edges, and plenty of explosive tags attached all around it. One wrong move and that thing goes boom, along with the contents inside it. You had to kill thirty men today for its contents, but you knew they were worth it.

Part of you wants to go check up on HIkigaya right away and see how he's doing, but paper work first.

The three of you arrive in the Hokage's office, where the 3rd is already awaiting you, smoking on that pipe of his. "I take it the retrieval was a success?"

Or rather it's content. You recognize the girl, she was one of the members of the barrier team, responsible for alerting everyone when someone had slipped into Konoha when they shouldn't have. She looks...fucked up. There's really no way around it, someone did a real number on her, if it weren't for the faint heart beat you'd swear she was dead from the glossed over look in her eyes.

"Oh child, I'm sorry." The 3rd looks downright sad, and why shouldn't he? This wasn't like when someone died or was injured on the battlefield, someone had deliberately tortured this girl. "Ikari, fetch the Medical Nin quickly, Namakemono, head back to the Anbu headquarters and file away what happened." The two of them give a quick affirmation and shunshin away, leaving just you, the Hokage, and the beaten girl. "Hokori," He says, slowly. "You've done enough for tonight, head on home and rest. Blood transfusion might just delay the process a bit. The real problem with Iron poisoning is the fact it will affect the liver and kidneys. This organs are the main 'filters' of the human body and slowly the iron will cause the organ to fail and be forced to be surgicaly replaced. I think to counter the iron poisoning a medi nin would need to filter a persons blood using water jutsu to as sayd earlier to clean and filter a person blood system. In our world some people that can't filter their blood use a machine that makes such process, but i doubt the Naruto world has this kind of tech.

Gentle and extremely social. Althought he's constantly sick he is so nice and good to be around that people go spend the time with him. Was a real social butterfly when his illness made him stay high amounts of time in bed or recovering in the hospital wing. ALL the Konoha hospital staff know him because he visit it that often. Long silver hair and a little bit mature because needs to deal with the fact of be almost dead. But he doesn't let others feel pitty for him and try to help the clan the best way he can. He's also Hiki's twin brother. Some say Hiki got their father skill in the art of the shinobi and Takahiro got his social skill and charisma.

This also brought to my attention something that I missed when we agreed on Hiki's stats.

Nigga' has no Hand Seal knowledge. Which means Ninjutsu and Genjutsu take way, wayyyyyy longer for him to dish out. We're gonna' be adding that to his character traits. Unless you all want to mess with the stat distribution a bit more.
