"Fighting?" they say in unison before Yew starts laughing as Juniper frowns "We aren't fighting, what would make you think that?"

"Sorry, just sort of got that feeling with all the yelling" I say shrugging as Juniper frowns and scrunches up her face as she tilts her head in confusion

"But we didn't start biting or clawing eachother yet" She says with a blunt snort "so, yeah, anyways? What do you think of our den?"

"Its cozy, much nicer than I expected it to, kind of cramped but hey that reminds me of home...it could use a bit more furniture though" I say glancing around at the barely decorated "room" around me "So do you two have your own rooms or"

"why would we?" Yew asks, frowning

"Yeah, waste of space and heat" Juniper says bluntly "if you don't want to sleep with the pack, leave"

I blink, trying to figure out how to tell them whatever magic is cooling their house probably could give them heat to, but I don't know how to word it or if they'd understand me but

"let me show ya" She says, panting heavily and quickly, lowering her eyes a bit and batting at her hair to try and part it, before she starts "Like that"

Much as cleaning would be hillarious. Its more fun doing it when we are in our house and Juniper walks into our home. That's more than enough mess.

Juniper sits up and sniffs the air quickly, probably trying to just smell out what they have.

"Yeah, that" She says nodding "I'll get up and see what we all actually have if you're curious, we tend just to bring back and eat whatever we're hungering for"

"Yes, but we at least have jerky, so you won't need anything else" Yew yawns

"Tch, she might be a veggitariperson" Juniper says with a snicker "You know the people who don't enjoy life at all, still can't say the name right"

"Do you have any apples?" I ask, Juniper glances over and stands up, trotting over towards their....what I guess is their kitchen? its hard to tell with how much of a mess it is "Uh, thanks juniper but you didn't have"

"You're my guest and friend, yes I do" She says stubbornly, her tail wagging slightly as Yew yawns, his mouth opening just a bit too wide for his human face "Now where are they?"


"Alright, if you're okay with it" I say, turning from her to her brother, slowly leaning towards him as he closes his eyes "So what do you do around here anyways"

"Sleep" He says, sounding a little annoyed "Play fight, wrestle, do homework in her case, run around"

"Dig, roll in the mud, teach him how to read, laze around when its too hot" Juniper lists off as she begins to claw and dig through their piles of food "and any game we can think of to pass the time"

I hold it up, turning it around to make sure it isn't bruised or soft anywhere before I look back up and guiltily watch Juniper skulk back to the pillow pile next to her brother and flop down next to it as both tall wolf monsters curl up in balls and stare ahead with mournful lost looks in their eyes.

alright, I need to change the subject so they can get their minds off of their losses and I think I know an easier way to do just that, I hope. I'm not exactly sure if it'll work, but its worth a shot. I might be used to gloom and sadness but that doesn't mean I enjoy seeing people trapped in it.

It's ok HM, really. I'm more than pleased to learn more about Juniper and further our relationship with her, even if it is in one of the worst ways possible. (Not a complaint, losing family sucks but it can forge strong bonds between friends.)

Grabbing my locket, I sigh and hang my head. Well isn't this just the perfect timing.

"Juniper, there's a monster about" I whisper, leaning away from her brother, so he won't hear exactly what I'm saying. My friend's ears perk up and she looks up at me, he frown turning into a growl that flashes her fangs as she sits up on her haunches and then standup to her full height

"No, I just want to get some fresh air with Carol" She says quickly "maybe running around a bit will help me"

"Oh, well then I'll come to" He says with a heavy sigh as he tries to get up

"No only girls" Juniper growls as I head for the entrance of the cave, scanning the every nook and cranny for monsters

"That doesn't make any sense" He growls, as I grab my locket and whisper Holi's name into it.

"Huh, what do you need?" She asks, as she appears in a puff of pink smoke, as I look over my shoulder again just to be sure there aren't any monsters lurking around "....you have a look on your face that tells me something has gone horribly wrong"

"there's monsters around here, could you tell Lyra's there's trouble? as quickly as you can?" I ask as I hear Juniper and her brother yelling as she forces him to stay down in their "Den"

"Well, it's my duty to help you anyway I can" she says, bowing as she takes off her hat, showing her short pink hair.

I blame the Call of cthulu session I was in the day this was supposed to run before I overslept, forgot about it entirely. No idea why they held it at the middle of the night, but its my fault for forgetting about it and not planing around it, cause it made me stress out that I wasn't going to be able to get enough sleep for this, that I just couldn't fall asleep

Might backfire on us, but we should get enough info on it so we can tell the others it's abilities.

Alright, well I'm know the monsters aren't down in the den, and Juniper can make sure it doesn't wander or run down into their burrow if she stays down or near it. She might be down there for awhile, wrestling with her brother to keep him from putting himself in the danger we have to rush towards as part of our "Jobs". And I need to find this monster fast, which just puts another obstacle in my way because I am surrounded by normal monsters, meaning they could be in danger and they don't really have a whole city to run to out here in their woodland village. So this is going to be rather difficult, I can already tell. People are in danger, and I'll have to be careful with my magic. Hmm well I've never balked from hard work before.

So I begin to jog where my locket leads me, knowing Juniper will follow as soon as she calms down her brother and makes him stay in their home where its safe....ish? Not sure what kind of monster we're going to fight so I can't be sure their den will be safe from whatever magical abilities it holds.

I pause, as my necklace begins to dart around in my hand pointing up, in front of me and every where between the two points.

A horde of glowing gold eyes flashes, and I take a step back, gripping my locket as my heart skips a beat or two before it calms down and goes back to work. Cat....bat....catbat like creatures made of dripping blood are hanging from the branches and hiding in the bushes in front of me....a horde of little monsters.

"Bloody Nyanorde" my locket hisses "annoying little pests....brought upon by a stronger chaos monster's blood magic, don't get swarmed. They're weak to water, poison and fire. Only dangerous in numbers....which they have, So crush them all! and paint the town red with their stolen blood!"

the sound they make, after they hear my locket is a mixture of hissing, growling and laughing as they all ready to pounce me like I'm the biggest, juiciest mouse in all the world

and we'll end here (might use this thread again, since I'll be running this in the front of next weeks schedule)

Might start lost in da'ta quest next week, will decide when I wake up

Sheepie looked over to how it was raining cats and dogs... literally. Strangely the cats and dogs didn't get hurt when they hit the ground. And she and the others were safe inside the cave anyway.

"Let me guess, not back home yet?" The sheep girl asked sounding annoyed.

"We might have to try a few portals more before we get home." Lazy Cat said as it wasn't a big deal. "At least this is still paid leave."

The sheep girl then pointed to the sleeping hare girl in the lazy cat lap. "What if she gets in danger?"

"I got a few healing potions and stuff. Plus I did give you that club."

"Whatever." Sheepie sat down inside the cave next to the other two. "Do you think we carry that monster girl virus with us?"

"No, we got those vaccines for a reason and even if we did we are already monster girls so..."

"So who cares if we infect someone else? Darn it Lazy, you don't care if we fuck over our world more than it already is?"

"Ugh... well I do care a bit, but I am just... too lazy to do more than we did."
Groaning, Sheepie curled up next to the two other monster girls and went to sleep.
