Nice to see you to random anon

You decide to visit the general store.

"Hiya, we've got all sorts of things for sale here"

(You have 138 Talons)

>5 Apples (1 Talons)
>Torch (1 Talons)
>Bedroll (3 Talons)
>1 Man Tent (5 Talons)
>Oil (2 Talons)
>Rope (3 Talons)
>Crowbar (5 Talons)
>Potion of Minor Healing (25 Talons)
>Potion of Minor Speed (25 Talons)
>Potion of Brief Invisibility (25 Talons)

>>
25 Apples
>>
>>1790169
Also, where can we buy animals? Chickens and livestock?
>>
>>1790156

The torch
The apples
The tents
The rope

And talk about how effective are the potions.

Also, that's all they have, or we can buy multiples of each item?

Because have two tents and more oil bottles for the torch would be nice
>>
>>1790156

> 10 Torches

> 1 Bedroll (If we travel we will sleep in shifts)

> 1 Tent

> 2 Oil

> 2 Rope

> 1 Crowbar

...

>>1790169

Apples are perishable my man. Not fantastic for travelling...
>>
>>1790214
We plants the apples and get trees. Or make a bunch of wine. Just need yeast. Can also feed to our livestock.
>>
>>1790239

> We plants the apples and get trees

You may be underestimating the amount of time it takes an apple tree to grow, but yes I guess we could do that...

> Or make a bunch of wine

I don't believe our character has the skill, or knowledge necessary to do that, or know somebody with who can do that on our behalf...

> Can also feed to our livestock

Assuming we can buy livestock, because we certainly don't have any at the moment...
>>
>>1790169
>>1790175
>>1790209
>>1790214

You purchase:

25 apples
10 torches
1 bedroll
1 tent
2 oil
2 rope
1 crowbar

Total: 38 Talons

You now have a convenient 100 Talons

>"How effective are these potions?

"The healing potions are pretty good for tending injuries in the wilderness, much more expensive than a doctor or priest (12 to 20 hp, You currently have 28 hp). The Speed potion is good for running away, doesn't last that long. The invis potion lasts about 10 seconds."

>"Thanks, do you know where I could buy livestock?"

"I don't think any farmers here raise animals to sell them, you'd have to pay a lot to get one of them to sell an animal a large township would probably be better."

You leave Appleby and begin travel to Leefside. The sun sets before you get there and you make camp with your new tent.

Alina asks you some questions about your homeland Uthain.

"So what's your homeland like anyway? I don't know much about the lands beyond Aflor."

>>Offer to teach Alina one of your skills
>>1791060
That was me that wanted to bring her along. It was more to get some succ at the moment. We don't even have permission to hold her hand from her father. We left with her, saying it's okay
>>
>>1791060

I support this...

Do we get to choose what skill we improve? If so, can we improve her speech-craft/diplomacy/negotiation?
>>
>>1791078
Yes, you're supposed to choose, Her CHA is slightly higher than you so her Diplomacy is already higher than Christof's, as in he wouldn't be able to train her in that.
>>
>>1791091

Could we see her skill list? I can only find her attributes in the archived threads...
>>
>>1791127
I can't show you her skill list.

I never calculated her skills, Also my laptop's broken and it has the text files that explain how base skill points are derived. If I need to use her skill I'll just approximate them until I fix the problem.

She has 80 unspent skill points, that I would spend if she receives training or studies a book related to the skill.
>>
>>1791158

Okay...

Well, how about we lend her our bow and improve her ranged combat. That way she can contribute to fights, and we still have the weapon we specialize in (Our mace)...

The following day you continue your journey to Leefside...
>>
>>1791223

Are you drawing the next part, or are you waiting for player input?
>>
You reach some farmland just outside of Leefside. You're about to continue on into the town when you suddenly see a battle. You rush to defend the farmer, the Cabbage intercepts you and tries to take you on.

You're in combat with the Cabbage, Alina is giving fire support.

To make combat faster. You declare 4 actions at the same time. Then in the next update I resolve those 4 rounds of combat. If something happens (eg: you take a surprising amount of damage) the updates end early and I ask for player input again.

Your Hack skill is 63.
Your HP is 28/28.
Your AC is 8.

The cabbage shouts "Die oppressor!" from somewhere and slices you with its knife for 2 damage
An arrow stikes the Cabbage for 5 damage.

Cabbage strikes back doing 4 damage to you.
Alina misses.

"I've been studying transmutation for years now, in particular I've been experimenting on vegetable matter. I have encountered these vegetable men before the raids started because I've created some in the past. Of course, I am a skilled professional and nothing has gone wrong over the years. Three weeks ago my lab was ransacked, all of my research notes and my apprentice Ardin were gone.

You send Alina away so you can talk about secret wizard business.

"In Aflor it's a tradition for wizard shop keepers to brew special potions that make your eyes glow and make your voice sound mysterious. It also makes cool particle effects on stuff you levitate. Don't tell the muggles though, it's a secret."

>"Do you think your apprentice is behind this?"

"Could be, Ardin should be capable of animating vegetables with my notes at his skill level. I knew he was a bit cruel and conceited but I'm not entirely sure he's that evil."

>"Why were you researching how to make vegetable people?"

"Cheap labor force really, people don't like undead, and they go berserk when the necromancer dies. The vegetables have always been very gentle by nature, the ones I made would rarely fight, even in self-defence. The creator doesn't directly control them so I'm surprised they're acting so violently. The vegies are also more intelligent, they can perform more complex tasks."

>"This is quite a pickle. Do you have any tips on how to beet these creatures?"

>"Fire and necromantic defoliation work well. They don't have any organs but after a bit of mutilation they just drop dead"
