"Are y-" you begin to ask before the hulking blue brute standing in front of you silences any further talk with a punch to your face.

Falling onto your back, you slide through the dirt, coming to a stop at the feet of your remaining allies, who look down at you with frowns. Not exactly a confidence builder.

You climb back to your feet, wiping blood from your face as you face the Android, who stares at you with a toothy grin on his face. This won't do at all.

"Kuma-Ken" you say quietly, feeling your power shoot up like a rocket as your body becomes engulfed in a green aura.

The grin on the machine's face turns to a frightened scowl, and he takes a single step back, actually trembling. It seems Gero programmed his machines to be able to feel fear.

You aren't looking at the others, but you can feel that they (save Trunks) are trembling in the presence of your overwhelming power. You can't help but smirk.

With a growl, the Android thrusts its right hand toward you, firing a red ball of light within a larger ball of light. It races toward you, but you hold your ground and backhand it right back at the machine, whose eyes go wide as he leaps to get out of the way.

Landing a short distance away, he looks at you in disbelief. "This can't be right. There's no way you could have gotten so much stronger so quickly!"

If what you've seen so far is any indication of his real power, you've got nothing to worry about from this clown. He talks a big game, and if this was yesterday, he could have crushed you like a bug. But, as you are now, he isn't even in your league.

"So, how about it, little man?" he challenges, pointing to you. "Ready for round two?"

The machine springs forward, throwing a punch that you just barely manage to catch, and following with a knee strike that actually lifts you off your feet. As you're thrown back, the Android gathers up more energy and hurls it at you, but you manage to swat it away, sending it off into the distance.

Thirteen comes charging in again, and this time you're able to better fend off his techniques, though he does begin to force you to give ground under his furious attacks. That is until you realize he's fighting with no real technique, but simply trying to overwhelm you with raw force.

And you're stronger than him.

Planting your feet, you refuse to give another inch, and remain glued to your spot as he attacks again. After you parry a few more of his strikes, the two of you lock hands, and he begins trying to force you back.

He begins to try and force himself to stand, though the shattered leg makes this more difficult. And in his current state, you should be able to inflict further damage.

You move in, planning to disable more of his limbs, and beat him into a bloody pulp. As you pull back your arm for a punch, however, Thirteen turns your way and fires another red ball of energy, this one hitting you full-force and sending you flying back, and landing with a thud on the ground.

As you pick yourself back up, you see the Android hovering above the ground, glaring at you, before looking up at something behind you in confusion.

As you turn to see what he's so worried about, you feel your heart leap into your throat.

That monster, that damned monster, stands just behind your friends, most of whom see it as well, and quickly move away from it. However, one person doesn't have the option to do so.

Krillin's legs kick desperately as his body is sucked up into the monster's tail, the creature cackling with delight as your friend's form vanishes from view, moving through the tail and disappearing into the disgusting monster's body.

"Krillin!" Trunks cries out in horror.

The beast smirks, and you feel an overwhelming surge of energy emanating from it.

The black spots covering the creature's form begin to emit blinding light, which flashes repeatedly as the beast lets out a prolonged cry, a swirling golden vortex of energy surrounding it as its body begins to change.

Its hunched form straightens, and even grows in height. The massive wings on its back shrink away to nothing, and its entire body grows more thick and muscular. Its strange beak transforms into a set of pink lips with an odd shape above them that you think may be a nose. Its three-toed feet change appearance as well, making it look as if the creature is simply wearing pointed shoes. Its head changes shape as well, the odd extensions that had protruded downward from its skull now moved to the top of its head, almost creating the appearance that it's wearing a crown.

Its color scheme changes a bit, with black patches being moved and orange popping up in a few areas. Lightning dances along its skin, and the golden vortex vanishes, replaced by a faint green light.

"Magnificent...." it remarks in a much different voice. "Finally, I've evolved beyond that weak, lower form."

You cut off as you feel yourself being gripped from behind. Looking back, you spot Android Thirteen, grinning as he holds you in a full-nelson.

The creature frowns for a moment, looking at the Android for a moment in mild confusion.

"Well, you gonna absorb him or what?" Thirteen asked. "Come on! Let's see the perfected you!"

The creature lowers its head, smiling. "I see. You're another of Doctor Gero's creations."

"That's right, now stop wastin' time!" Thirteen ordered.

The creature began to laugh, stepping forward and holding its tail above its head as it takes step after step toward you. The tip of its tail opens up, providing enough room for you to fit inside.

You know that you need to get out of Thirteen's grip, but thankfully, your son is way ahead of you.

He swoops in, giving a super-powered kick to the machine's head, and forcing it to release its grip as it's sent sliding across the ground.

He lands beside you, dropping into a fighting stance and staring at the creature, who stops in its tracks, frowning again.

No need to give Cell food for perfection. Said that, if this is like canon cell saga power comparisons, Tofoo and Trunks should be able to beat semi-perfect cell as per how post-time chamber warriors were stronger than semi-cell but weaker than perfect cell.

But if he's able to kick their asses, I can't even imagine how infernal perfect cell will be as not even SSJ2 would be able to beat him, again, if they are roughly in a similar tier of power. Which I assume will be sorta respected, kinda like how 100% Freezer was still completely unbeatable by anything except SSJ.

The Android smirks and hovers back, making room as the beast steps toward you.

"Tofoo, Trunks, it's so good to see you two again," the creature declares with a sickening smile. "The three of us have some catching up to do, so thank you for clearing out the distractions."

He nods in agreement, but the creature chuckles.

"I wouldn't be so sure, Tofoo," he warns. "You seem to be seriously underestimating me."

He may be right. You know very little about this creature, and aren't sure what it's capable of in this new form. You may want to tread lightly here.

"Before we fight, I want some answers," you tell the creature. "Who are you? Where did you come from? Was it you that came back in the time machine? And if so, why are you here?"

"Does it matter?" Thirteen questions. "Not much point asking questions when yer gonna be dead faster than he can answer 'em."

"Now, now, there's no need to be so impatient, Number Thirteen," the creature declares, its tail moving back and forth behind its back. "I'm in a good mood, so I think I'll indulge them."

The Android scowls, but doesn't protest.

"My name is Cell," the creature introduces. "And, as you've likely gathered, I was created by Doctor Gero."

"So, you're another Android, then?" Trunks asks angrily.

"Not quite," Cell answers. "Doctor Gero went through many designs in his efforts to create a warrior capable of killing Goku, Tofoo, and Krillin. As he continued to observe the battles Earth's warriors fought, an idea came to him. By collecting the cells of the mightiest warriors this planet and others had to offer, he could create the ultimate life-form. And so, I was created."

"So that's why we can sense so many familiar energies from you," Trunks realizes. "They're part of your DNA."

"Exactly," Cell tells him. "The Saiyans, Freeza and his family, Slug, and of course, you and your friends; I contain the cells of all these fighters and more, not to mention their techniques."

"But how did Gero manage to collect our cells?" Trunks asks.

"The same way he'd been gathering data on your father's battles," Cell explains. "A fleet of miniature drones. These were equipped to gather and analyze genetic samples, and feed that information to the Doctor's master computer. With my creation surely requiring many years of effort, Doctor Gero left that to his computer, while he turned his personal attention to other projects."

"So, were you the creature that come from the time machine?" you question.

"I am," Cell confirms.

"Then why? Why are you here? And what did you do to Krillin?" you continue.

"Sorry, but that isn't going to happen," you tell Cell, assuming a defensive posture.

Trunks does the same, and a green aura flares around him as the two of you ready yourselves for the battle to begin. Both of you are at full strength, and with all of the training you did, the two of you can surely defeat this monster.

You hear something crack beneath you, and look down to see Cell's tail explode from beneath the ground. Retreating into the air, you quickly find a beam of light shooting toward you from Cell's mouth.

You swat the attack aside, and Trunks answers with a ball of energy that Cell quickly raises his arms to block. The blast strikes his body, and a cloud of smoke obscures him from view.

A surge of energy is your only warning before a disk-shaped energy attack comes flying from the smoke, racing toward you and Trunks, who split up to avoid it.

At that moment, Cell races up from the smoke, charging you and throwing a punch that you manage to block just in time. He throws another, and another, but you manage to keep your defenses going. That is, until Cell makes his real move.

The monster's tail wraps around your left ankle, and you find yourself flung toward the ground, managing to flip yourself and land on all fours. You slide back through the dirt, and look up to see another energy attack heading right for your face.

Trunks appears in front of you, and with a yell, fires a beam of light that overwhelms Cell's attack. The beam races up toward the monster, who lets out a yell of his own and thrusts his hands toward it, being pushed backward through the air before managing to redirect it higher into the sky above.

"Hit him now!" you shout. "Cell's open!"

Trunks explodes into the sky, rushing up toward the monster, who manages to block your son's first attack, and answers with a kick. Trunks blocks the kick with his leg, but is pushed back, giving you an opening.

With a wide-open mouth, you fire off a Bear Shout, and Cell is caught by surprise, turning his wide-eyed face toward it just before the blast strikes his body, and he's obscured by smoke once again.

Trunks rushes into the smoke cloud, sending Cell flying out of its cover with a kick. Your son then grabs the monster by the tail, spins, and hurls it at the ground below, sending him crashing down with enough force to create a massive crater.

Dust and debris are sent up into the air, and you see your son hovering high above it all, waiting for a visual on Cell. Rising from the ground, you ascend into the air and keep a similar watch.

A sudden gust blows the dust away, revealing the figure of Cell standing in the crater, looking up at you and your son with a frown.

"Well, you two have improved more than I'd expected," he remarks. "I suppose I'll have to fight seriously if I want to defeat you."

At the same moment, you and Trunks open your mouths wide, unleashing waves of energy that rush down toward Cell, who braces himself for the impact.

The ground trembles violently, and further smoke cover is kicked up into the air. With a yell, you let out a burst of energy that pushes the dust away, revealing a trembling, burn-covered Cell.

He's dropped to one knee, and is clearly in pain, though you're honestly impressed that he's managed to endure the hit as well as he has. You're even more impressed when he stands back up and lets out a furious cry that actually creates a gust strong enough to push you back.

"Alright, I've had enough of you two!" he declares, rising into the air.

He doesn't stop when he becomes level with you and Trunks, and simply climbs higher, and higher, and higher, raising one hand above his head, and pointing a finger toward the heavens.

"You have two choices," he declares as a fiery ball of light forms and rapidly grows above his hand. "Either take the power of this attack, or avoid it, and let the entire planet die!"

"What does he think he's doing?!" Trunks demands in horror.

That's Freeza's attack.

"Choose!" Cell commands as he hurls the attack, sending the fiery orb of death and destruction right down at you and Trunks.

"Trunks, together!" you shout, rushing toward the flaming ball of death.

Your son is with you, and as the attack comes speeding down toward the two of you, you hover side-by-side, bracing yourselves, and thrusting your hands toward the oncoming attack.

The massive ball of light slams into your hands, and with a yell, the two of you push back, attempting to repel it and send it right back at its maker.

The two of you manage this so fast that Cell barely has time to get out of the way, making it out of the attack's path in just enough time to avoid being incinerated.

However, in his desperation to do so, he leaves himself open, and you rush upward, rising above your foe, and kicking him in the back of the head, sending him screaming down toward Trunks, who winds up a punch and clocks Cell square in the jaw.

Spit flies from the monster's mouth, with seemingly more of it coming out as he's sent flying back in your direction.

Actually, it doesn't look quite like spit, more like little tiny strands of something or other.

Is that what that monster makes? You wonder what else is so odd about it.

Trunks, who's just given Cell a good knee to the jaw, looks up you in shock.

"What in the-"

"Merry-Go-Round Gum," Cell explains, wiping some blood from his lip. "Remember, Tofoo?"
