Titans Quest, takes place in the DC universe and focuses on Teen Titans team. In particular it focuses on you, Adam Issacs, a new member of the team who has been active in the cape community for a little over a month. Currently you have been given an extremely minor leadership role with in the group. As the quest goes on you might remain on the team to as a mentor or even leader, move onto the Justice League, or go solo either as a hero or villain. Maybe you’ll fuck up big and wind up drafted on the Suicide Squad. You might even save the world here and there, maybe even land a date land another date.

The Titans are a New York based team of former sidekicks/young adult heroes who have decided to help train and support teenagers/new heroes just starting out on their own. Naturally while this quest is based on the DC comics universe, things are different. Superheros haven been around since forever, especially since WWII, but the Justice League has only been around a little less than ten years. The Teen Titans, have been active now for eleven months and are a little obscure except to news hounds, New Yorkers, and super hero fanatics. On the broader scale, a lot of big villains and heroes haven’t made their debut. Darkseid and the rest of the New Gods are a mystery, Trigon is a myth, and Booster Gold is still a washed up security guard a couple of centuries into the future.

Part of you excepted a hero’s welcome or celebration. You failed to take down the Black Manta, sure, but managed to take down a major H.I.V.E operation in Europe. Queen Bee, Merlyn, and Giganta were all in Justice League custody, awaiting trail. Currently they were all in Justice League custody and it was believed that Giganta would crack sooner rather than later, she had no real loyalty to H.I.V.E after all. Sure Queen Bee was keeping her mouth shut and Merlyn was completely out of it thanks to Queen Bee’s pheromones just like you had been, being utterly unable to aid in any futher investigation despite being more than willing, but you had a ton of leads and information on how H.I.V.E’s organzation. You won a major victory for a good guys.

Instead Wonder Woman just gave you her number, told you’d probably make the Justice League reserve member list and might be selected to help helm a new team. Good, you might not have been invited to sit at the big table but you were moving on up and being appreciated. However the Wonder Woman also wanted you to see a shrink. You joked that you already were and she got too serious and told you the League wouldn’t want to put the stress of leading a team on you until you had sorted out the whole Queen Bee business. Come on did they think you were made of glass or something?

Oh and Black Canary was back, oh joy. Last time you really hang out with her the two of you beat each other senseless. That was of course before and after she ran you ragged for days on end. Guess it was time for some more training straight out of hell.

You groan and get out of bed, rubbing the now faded scars from Cheetha’s claws. Raven was still bandaged up and in three days you doubt anyone besides you would remember that they were ever there. H.I.V.E had given you another big gift you hadn’t noticed until now you guess. That cynical little thought though had nothing on a rumbling belly and a need to hit the showers, so you moved out with doors with it banished into the ether to see what ‘gift’ your M’ggan gave you on the breakfast table now that it was her turn.

After a short but very relaxing shower, you throw on a pair of pants and just head straight into the dinning room where almost all the Titans and Black Canary are with plates filled with bacon, eggs, and grapefruit and bowls of cereal in front of a couple of them.

You take a spare chair and sit at a table next to Raven, who is completely forgoing the bacon and just eating the fruit and eggs. You glances at you and moment and smiles a little sadly as she scoots over. You hands you a plate and you dig in getting a couple of eggs and slices of bacon here, along with a good helping of fruit. Raven just looks at you while you do this.

“How is it that you can fit in your suit, let alone model?” Raven says in a tone mixed with flippant disgust and envy, flicking a the food on her plate with her fork. “My breakfast is a poached egg and some fruit and I barely can stay in shape.”

“Very carefully.” You answer with a smile, before shoving two pieces of bacon in your mouth.

“Funny.” Raven says in a tone suggesting otherwise, though a reluctant smile edges at the end of her mouth briefly. Than her face turns serious. “Are, you...okay?”

“I should be asking you that, do you need any help with anything? Ice, change of bandages, you need anything like anything I’m here.” You answer. Raven just looks a little blankly at you for a moment, though a little happy too.

“It’d be nice if you helped with the bandages, Korri should have a night off.” Raven says, a little appreciative “But that’s not what I’m talking about, I’m taking about Queen Bee and...”

“Yeah, if anything I should be apologizing to you. Kinda broke that agreement we had after Harley.” You say “Granted pheromone control of me but still.”

Raven looks at you horrified, like someone who has to be fact with a car criminal while knowing exactly what he did. You don’t really get it, it seemed like she was mostly cool just a second ago. You stop gobbling down you food and put down your silverware. Raven is still aghast looking from you and then the rest of the table, which is busy in their own conversations to pick up on anything. Her mouth agape the entire time.

“Don’t apologize to me. You were raped.” Raven says in a monotone voice somehow filled with worry. “I’m serious Adam, I’m here for you. But you got to know you did nothing wrong, something horrifying happened to you.”

“The German pancake will be done in a minute” M’ggan cries, trying to sound chipper but like she needs some help.

That's the point. Adam is traumatised and we're not ready to deal.

Raven pushing us to talk right now is causing Adam to run away.

We've played him decent up until this point. Let's not have him be magically okay with being raped because it felt good. Please?
>>
>>1760630
Listen to star he hasn't led us wrong yet

He's not going to be magically ok with being raped by choosing option B, its obviously a lead in to an emotional conversation.

From experience. I this scenario you run as far as fucking possible from the idea as you try and desperately remove the idea from your head until someone forces you to fade the unpleasant reality of being raped.

Hey, could we keep the heavier stuff on the discord? I'm all for having this discussion , but don't want the thread cluttered with it.
>>
>>1760641
There's also straight up denial, which is what I assumed B would be. We're determining his emotional response, and I get the option of having him run away from it, I personally just disagree with it. Which is why I voted B.

“I wouldn’t go that far Raven.” You say getting up quick. This was getting on your nerves. You might not have planned it or even wanted it, but all that happened to you is you got your dick wet. This wasn’t a big deal, you are completely and utterly fine. “I’m going to go help M’ggan, excuse me.”

As you head into the kitchen, M’ggan is leaning over the oven, four arms now formed on her body as she lifts up two pans, each containing a golden brown fluffy pastry filled with yellow, fresh smelling goo inside. An applely scent that just seems perfect and mouthwatering. M’ggan turns around to face you, like you’re a boulder was about to be lifted off her chest, a warm smile now on her face.

“Thank you. I’ve baked before but never for half these many people.” M’ggan says, anxiety creeping into her tone like a spider down a dark hallway wall. “Can you please get some more plates of lemon slices and sugar. Oh and the maple sauce. Hello Megan!”

“Sure, sure no problem.” You say scooping everything up for her, the balancing act quickly putting all your sympathy behind the much more difficult one she just had to manage.

“So how is life team life treating you? Everything good?” You ask. “How was it learning under Dick and Vic?”

“Good for the most part. Vic was a little to laid back but still always wants results.” M’ggan starts placing both pancakes on two large plates, before stopping and laughing. “Dick is a hard ass but he has a lot if circus jokes, most of which are okay. He also kinda ranted about how Pyg was nothing like the circus he grew up in but still pretty cool Vic taught me how to play pool too, a lot harder than it looks. Lot of dexterity in taking those shots and than the angles ahhh.”

“So do Martians do a lot of baking?” You ask jokingly, M’ggan shooting you playfully pretend angry look.

“Not really, I mean it’s far from unheard of but I picked it up mostly from Earth programs. Which is really big on Mars, I don’t know anyone on there who even dislikes Earth movies and television.” M’gann starts before finishing placing them on the plates. “We’re more into raw sea food and vegetables as a culture.”

“Sorry I didn’t put you on the team but it was call I had to make.” You say apologetically as you place down the condiments and dishes.

“Hey I get it I’m green...” M’ggan says taking a slice of German Pancake for herself and than looking at you with a serious look in her eye. “Train with me today though. I might be inexperienced, but I came down here to help. I want to get ready to do that.”

After a delicious but still almost nauseatingly sweet breakfast, you decide to start training with your Gravity Powers. The trip down the elevator with Victor and Beast Boy is almost unbearable. Garfield keeps on apologizing to you for falling under Queen Bee’s powers, despite the fact you did as well. Despite numerous assurances everything is okay the little guy isn’t his normally goofy self but like a child who accidentally broke expensive china. An extreme bummer to put it mildly.

This side of the cavern had been slightly upgraded since the last time you went down here. For lack of a better word ‘new’ discarded cars and dilapidated vehicles had be slapped down haphazardly throughout the sandy floor. Where as before maybe a semi or two lay on the ground, now boats and remnants of broken down airplanes lay there. Giant targets depicting King Kong and Godzilla and smaller human sized ones darted along boulders. Hell even a huge turret lay in the middle of the area waiting to be uses or torn apart.

Beast Boy turns into various flying creatures, timing himself as he both dodges paint balls fired by the turret and in between the human sized targets. He looks a like a green needle sowing something. He than stops and transforms into a ramming animal at the end of reach run, banging into the huge gun. Getting closer each time in knocking it over. Cyborg is more than a little more straight forward in his training however. He fires at one of the cars or boulders, trying to blow each one up. When he fails to do so he just enters in some numbers from his hand and when he fails to explode one of them.

Gravity ranged (Vertigo): Disorient a foe by throwing his sense of balance in his blood.

Gravity ranged (Bomb): Throw off a gravity attack detonates later.

Gravity personal: (Invisibility): Turn transparent to the naked eye

Gravity personal (boots): Make sure you never fall off and can walk off steep surfaces.

Great counter argument there.
>>
I'll ask this one question and If you can provide me with an instance I'll shut up.
Have we ever rolled for how good our footing is in this quest?
>>
You start with your usual routine down here. You create a gravity field around a few cars and play with it, to see how much you can flux and fine tune it like a piano before a performance. You try to first to wiggle these cars, then lift two, then just one, and then all of them. You just keep with it doing more complicated things, starting to swirling them around in the air like in a circle, then a have them flick and weave around each other within inches of each other without touching each other. Soon you can fine tune the control of a car like a puppet.

Finally you decide just to flex and lift a small tug boat, with a hole in that reveals it’s mechanical guts are either lone gone or rotted into brown rusted things you can’t identify it. You start sweating to the point when forming that powerful of a gravity field that you feel like your leaking. But you do it, you lift it for two feet in the air and then ten feet before you drop it down.
You fall to the floor and see Beast Boy try to do hid dodge routine again before he accidentally falls down before getting on his knees wobbling around and than falling down again. That gives you idea. You sit up and than push yourself up to your feet. You take two steps forward and point at Garfield.

“Hey Gar, let me try something.” You yell, pointing your finger on him.

“Fine, do your worst man.” Gar says with a smile on his face in between pants.

You pull the trigger. A small gravity field forms over his head, sweat raining down you as you struggle to push, squish, and congeal it into a smaller ball. It take a lot of work and at least three tries by your count, but you manage to pull it off. Beast Boy on the other hand sighs, not realizing what you’ve done, and tries to walk towards you before he falls down hard on his face, prompting a fit of laughter from Victor and eventually Gar himself.

“Damn dude.” Gar laughs before getting up and rushing towards you, with a smile on his face turning into a ram. “My turn.”

You throw up a force field around yourself and let himself bang into you a couple of times. At first you manage to throw him off with ease but after about half a dozen charges Garfield starts to figure out how to handle the gravity field. Each blow starts hitting you at full force, knocking you down on ass each time. Eventually though, you create another field around each of your feet. “Oh hey Adam, what was keeping you?” M’ggan asks turning and looks at you smiling. You wave back and jump right beside her from the elevator.

“Nothing much, just giving the gravity powers another whack. I think I learned a lot that session. But than I remembered a Martian girl I know wanted to wanted to get schooled by me until she proved she had guts I believe.” You say with a smile.

“That’s where you’re wrong. I’m here to teach you a thing or two” M’ggan says back, a cocky smile painted on her face.

You start with the weights and you’re glad to say in that category you’re glad to say you won. M’ggan starts off strong to the point where it surprises you. She reaches about 7 tons before she has to tap out, which means could easily lift a passenger car or truck. You on the other hand manage to lift the equivalent of a school bus before you start breaking a sweat. But today to show off you manage to try even higher. Soon you hit twenty tons. Then forty. Finally even though it causes your knees to buckle and back to scream in pain you manage to lift around 80 tons, a semi truck over your head. When you drop it, the machine just lets out a electronic whine in a low mutter. That just keeps going.

“I think you broke it.” M’ggan says mildly impressed.

“I know I did.” You say rubbing your shoulder and letting out a moan yourself.

When you get to the endurance testing, it’s a different story. You form a gravity field around the two of you and place weights on yourself for a short ten meter race, but it takes M’ggan about a minute to get out while it takes you about five. You strain and grind everything you have to just move forward a bit, while M’ggan in a show of great sportsmanship cheers on whole heartily. Your clothes darken and become utterly soggy with sweat and you have to choice but to collapse on the ground.

“So the mighty Gravitas has a weak point.” M’ggan brags a bit before offering a hand “Need help up?”

“Oh God yes.” You mutter taking it, causing a brief good natured chuckle from M’ggan.
>>
>>1761304
You end it with a race that ends in a draw. Both of you leave the Titan’s Tower and take a three laps around it’s beaches. The bright sun hanging lazily in the sky, the salty breeze from the ocean, and the faint off smell of the sea and the forest mixing beats the dark underbelly of a cave any day. While both you go all out at first, the feel of the sand of a beach and the comforting grass underneath your feet brush along you enough to drop the pretense. At the end of it both you forget about the wager and jump into the ocean. Still you know just how fast you were going in comparison to before, you easily beat your previous best without trying.

The sun is beginning to set and training is over.

“It’s getting late, I need to help Raven change out her bandages anyway.” You say, swimming along doing the backstroke to shore.

“Well if anyone wants me, tell them I’m seeing what salt water feels like” M’ggan says wistfully, flat on her back in between the setting sun and the rising moon. You really wish you had a camera for moment because the dichotomy of that, along with the green and pretty nature and the wondrous skyline on the horizon, was just too much.

You change on your way to Raven’s room into a simple pajama pant and t shirt with the logo of the Fawcett Jackhammers on front, finding yourself what she was wearing at the moment. The eroticism of the thought is next to non existent. You rarely have seen her out of her uniform, remembering that to her the costume she wore was also religious in nature. Part of the monastery that took her in. She carried that baggage or tradition with her where ever she went.

You knock on her door and her a faint invitation in. You open the door to find Raven in her tight tunic, just not her robes, on her bed and face down reading a musty old tome. Her room is dark outside of her bed, only a few cabinets and piles of books lit with a wax candle or two, a baseball sized green orb floating over her bed.

“What are you reading?” You ask walking over to her bed in long careful strides as not to smash into anything.

“Cultes des Goules, a dark spell grimore. I’m studying what it added to the philosophy and abilities to various cults in the West when it comes to the summoning arts.” Raven answers turning another page, enthusiasm ringing in her voice. But she doesn’t face you.

“Like the cult that...” You start, before Raven turns to face.

“Yes, exactly. Apparently they aren’t the only ones to worship Trigon.” Raven says turning back to her book.

You stand there for a moment a little stunned that Raven kinda opened up like that and given how enthusiasm in it. She was almost glued to that book. You take a look around and pretty much every other book, regardless of age, spine looked like it feel off a cliff. Saying she was a bibliophile was putting very mildly. She didn’t love books, she breathed them and drank them in. The books were life to her.

“Need those bandages changed.” You ask, prompting Raven to turn around again.

“I almost forgot about that.” Raven says, snapping her fingers and making the green orb expand to the size of a volleyball. The whole room was encased in green light and what you say was mostly more work material. Notebooks, a few discarded crumpled up paper, and a couple of socks. On her nightstand was a bunch of pill bottles and rolls bandages

“Damn bitch, you live like this?” You ask with a smile on your face.

“Stop.” Raven moans. “You’re making me regret this.”

Raven begins slipping her torso out of the tunic. There is some mild eroticism there but mostly pity. Her entire belly and lower chest was covered by a bandage now coated in old dark blood. Any extra joy you wold have gotten in seeing her supple white breasts was mostly gone. Mostly anyway. You approach her table and grab two of the rolls and get to work, eventually tossing the bloody things into a trashcan at the end of the room.

“So do you just read books on the occult and the supernatural? Or just into books in general?” You ask more than a little awkwardly.

“I like literature and poetry in general…and horror, but please don’t tell Gar that. He makes fun of me enough as it is.” Raven says thumbing through another page. “When I get done with this I’m going start Books of Blood or It. Can’t decide which. Then it’s back to Lord Byron. Maybe you’d like to...”

“Yeah, tell me which one you’re reading and I’ll buy a copy from the book store. Hey tomorrow is date night. Where would you like to go? I got a wallet full of money I’m waiting to burn.” You say smiling, after pausing for a moment. “I’m down for almost anything.”

“Honestly I have two things I’d like to do. I’d like to go a little book cafe called the Cup of Agamotto a little near Hell’s Kitchen. Maybe we could catch a movie afterwards?” Raven asks

“Sounds like a plan.” You say “Hey since I’m here, why don’t I give you a back rub? Looks like you could use it.

“Thank you” Raven says, slinking downwards with a smile on her face, as you rub your hands together and get to work. While you can feel her turn to putty in your hands, moving with every motion of your hand and writhing in pleasure with every twist, she is abnormally quiet. So it’s all the more startling when she lets out a long low moan here and there. Still you keep up the work, weird silence or output of noises not outstanding.

“Lower.” Raven begs

“Ah….any lower and I hit your ass” You answer.

“Good just go...” Raven continues.

You start moving lower and while the job was always far from unpleasant become one of the most beloved favors you’ve ever done everyone. The damn thing even moved like jello, shaking a bit with each caress. Her moan is now constant but even lower now. Before you could really get work Raven nudges with her foot.

“That’s enough you got to go.” Raven says, her voice a little huskier than usual. “That was relaxing but is going to far.”

You lean over and kiss Raven on the mouth, her after a brief period of shock and hesitation, she rushes her mouth to meet yours. After a few seconds the politeness of it ends and both your lips open and your tongue meet in the middle. She even bites down on your lip a bit before, touching your chest. And then caressing it, threading through your clothes towards your shoulders. She starts to kiss your neck, and your hands start exploring her breasts and her back. After about ten minutes, which feel oh so much shorter she pushes you away when you start moving a down towards her nice plumb ass again.

“Oh sorry.” You start before she brings a hand up.

“Don’t worry about, we had fun...a little too much. I’m really not used to this at all Adam, so while I’m enjoying this, I also need some space and time. I’m having a hard time explaining it but...”

“I get it, see you tomorrow night.” you say giving her a peck on the cheek.

You leave over the room accidentally tripping over a small pile of books near the door, causing a Raven to giggle a bit and start waving at you with her eyes closed. You almost feel like face palming but it would be much easier to get the hell out there. You can’t help but a laugh a little too when your out, classy and suave exit wasn’t it?

You are about to enter your room when you look down, realizing your holding a small book the size of your palm. Something called the Confession of Monk Kemak. Huh weird

Adam is handling the rape shit as well as being a genetically engineered superhuman.

He's got a pretty good resilience to mental trauma. I mean he was told that he was literally a fucking person, designed in a lab, to be a murder machine. Has no family, no friends, the entire core of his being is a fabrication by some asshole with a grudge.

His response was basically eh, shit happens, got to get on with things that I can control.

Handling the rape in such a manner is well within his resiliency.
>>
>>1762606
I would agree with you star, but, Adam trust Raven if she was another girl/woman i wouldn't have voted for the intimacy. On another note the rape didn't affected Adam to much because he already had his first time with Harley. So he knows that sex can be pleasurable, with both sides having a good time. Thanks to that experience with Quinn i think Adam can easily not be scared of every woman. I however agree that he should avoid Black Canary for a time because she is a woman. So for a time Adam will avoid any contact with more her and other older women. The only exception might be Quinn. So until he has to deal with the rape and accept it happend he will be avoiding to be more intimate with the mature girls.

>2.) H.I.V.E group meetings on Adam’s creation

Still waiting on the Spawn one.

>>1762606
Now your just being melodramatic. I'm guessing most anons just didn't want to turn the entire fucking thread into a rape survivors guilt roleplay sadfest.
>>
So Queen Bee's mind control only works if the person is attracted to Queen Bee herself right? That would probably mean that even though Adam was in no position to consent that the whole experience wasn't exactly awful. Adam's avoidance of the topic could have more to deal with the fact that he doesn't feel mentally damaged by the event when everyone acts like he ought to. That would make a lot of sense in the way he apologized to Raven about it. He would be feeling guilty about actually enjoying being raped. He could also be afraid of his friends treating him differently for it. Walking on egg shells around him for fear of triggering him. His getting handsy with Raven could even be viewed as him possibly overcompensating for that. Ultimately Adam seems more like he'd be more traumatized by being turned into a weapon used against his friends rather than being turned into a dildo. My interpretation of the chosen actions and dialogue anyways, I'm no psychologist.
>>
>>1762606
Stop trying to force drama you fuck.
If a roll isn't called or some sort of bad trait gained then its up to us how we handle it then we can do whatever the fuck we want.
Theres a reason why men calling rape is frowned upon and while it is a legitimate issue it doesn't count here.
Did we bang without consent? Yes
Were we held, tied or blackmailed into it?
fuck no, stupid DC magic shit happened and its basically a memory that we remembered and didn't have to deal with it at the time.
>>
>>1763002
This is probably the best explanation of the situation.
>>
>>1763008

We were forced into it, though. Therefore, rape.

I do think that Star is taking things a bit too far, but I still agree with him/her/them.
>>
>>1763100
Don't get me wrong, i wasn't arguing if rape happened or not.
Im just saying that it's not that big a deal since he just remembered it as a memory while wanting it since he was in a stupor or magic daze or whatever.
It pales immensely to getting forced into a choke hold while getting drilled in the ass without lube in prison is all.
like, white collar and some real heavy multiple murders shit.
>>
>>1762606

It wasn't described as a traumatic experience. Queen Bee didn't have sex with us against our will as much as she changed our will through her powers. We would have a positive memory of it because of how we felt at the time.

Manthor didn't give us a description of getting violently raped, or blackmailed into it. We got mind magic'ed. Into wanting to bang her. It's violating and wrong, but I don't think it would feel like the rape we think of.

I also have no interest in turning a superhero quest into a therapy simulator
>>
>>1763326
>Queen Bee didn't have sex with us against our will

But she did.

Adam didn't want to fuck her, but she fucked him anyway.
>>
>>1763363

>>

Was it a pleasurable experience? yes.
Do we have nice memories of it? yes.
Are we to blame for this? nah, guiltless pleasure.
Trauma? not at all. Things that are outside our control happen, I would feel way worse about having hurt teamates while mind controlled than about having a fuck. An teamates are not complaining so... just be happy and enjoy the memory.
>>
>>1763483

Just because it's pleasurable doesn't make it consensual or not rape.
>>
>>1763496
I'm not arguing whether it fits the definition of rape or not. I'm arguing that it is not traumatic. It was pleasant and there were no consequences.
>>
>>1763514

Rape is traumatic, though.
>>
>>1763526
If you're a woman or man that had his ass railed with a baseball bat maybe.
>>
>>1763539

What Adam went through is still rape and it is still traumatic.
>>
>>1763483
Was it a pleasurable experience?

No it wasn't If you read the part were we meet her Adam describe as being semi-concient of what was happening and that things semed to "far away". I think that it was like a out of body experience to him. He could see everything and he didn't enjoy the pleasure of the act, since it was a person he didn't liked. Some people would feel guilty for having enjoyed such things. You could even make the fact that it went fade to black that Adam blocked the whole experience.

But since we are Adam's mind and he's in denial, it doesn't matter. But in my opinion he should avoid be near older women for a time until he feels confortable again. That's why i'm waiting for the time we get to do some martial arts trainning with Canary.
>>
>>1763545
You should stop thinking about definitions and how things should be and put yourself in our heroes shoes.
Hes shrugged off worse and doesn't care.

>>1763552
I'd be fine with being wary of magic and maybe investing everything we have in some anti magic or mind control trinkets.
>>
>>1763545
My guess is that this was traumatic yes but not something that will scar Adam for his entire life. Maybe a week ir a mouth he can either avoid the topic and nobody will talk about it or he can face it. Besides what if other executives have some other kind of mind control and force Adam to do thinks for then? But that would be paranoia and Adam has showed he has a strong mind. So this 'trauma' is easier to be healed since we as part of Adam's mind can choose a path for him either face what happend or completely forget about it.
>>
>>1763571
Oh we are definetly investing in anti-magic and anti-mind control shit.
>>
>>1763545
Several things happen outside from our will but only harmful ones are traumatic. Being struck by lightning? traumatic. Losing a relative in an accident? also traumatic. being mind controlled into hurting friends? traumatic

Waking up to realize one had pleasant sex while under mind control? not so much. The part that we can be mind controlled is scary, perhaps the part that made us violate one promise. The sex part by itself is not scary.
>>
1.) First group outing with the Titans
>>
>>1763628
>The sex part by itself is not scary.

Only if you go by the logic that Adam simply blocked out everything. Which might have happend and that would be concerning. Because if Adam starts to deal with traumatic events by blacking out, next time we hurt a friend we will just forget about it.
>>
>>1763628
I'm with you. I think being mind controlled in and of it's self is more violating than the sex during it. Also, we have said or had any from the QM saying we are traumatized. Raven and Wonder Woman think we might be, but it seems like it's up to us.
>>
Just checking in, good to see the Raven Train at full steam.

While everyone is discussing the whole "rape" thing, I believe THIS >>1763002 Anon has a point. QB's mind control is pheromone based, so while under normal circumstances we'd be traumatised, the pheromones overrided our system and just made us accepting of her actions at the time, making us think they were natural throughout and afterwards.
>>
>>1764229
I'm on board with this interpretation of Adam's mental logic about it. But I'm also on board with Adam going full "fuck mind control" as a result of this. Would make for a deeper character that doesn't just accept everything that's done to him.
>>
>>1764288

I agree with that.
>>
>>1764288

Maybe hitting up Black Manta or someone else about anti mind control would be good for that. Make a joke at some point that "hey turns out I'm a dumb goody two-shoes even when under mind control" and maybe do it in such a way that the bitterness kicks in, so that whoever we're talking to glimpses that shit.

Does that really strike you as Adam being fine? Does he seem like he's legitimately handling it well, or does it seem like he's trying to convince himself that he's handling it well? To me it seems like he's trying really hard to convince himself that nothing's bothering him. The conversation shifted to the whole Queen Bee thing in the middle of breakfast, it's completely in-character for Adam to avoid talking about it and put on a brave face, especially when he's put on the spot in front of everyone else. Quit being a melodramatic fuckhead over not getting your way.
>>
When it comes down to it, we'll be voting on his future reactions and even if we come to a consensus now, anons will forget about it because they either suddenly want more or less expression of the subject, pretend they voted x when it was y, or new anons flood in and lurkers speak up.

Regardless of what happens, we have, while directing Adam, caused him to show emotional stress, apathy, and other characteristics. Personally, while we don't need to go REVENGE Adam, I would like for him to have an ultimatum of "stop HIVE. No more artificial life playing gods with." If, at any point, an "EVE" character were to show up and be our counter, I'm sure THAT is a very good time for Adams emotional state to be tested.

For now, we wait, get to develope him more and his connections with others, and then make a move that at that point would be proper for him.

Sunday was one of those fat, lazy ones. Sure you had your usual two and a half hour workout, focusing mostly on your cardio, and yeah it was your turn to make breakfast for the team but the day was mostly yours. You, Gar, and M’ggan mostly spent the day watching the Blob and Curse of the Cat People, with you having to watch it over Gar’s snide comments during the former and M’ggan over the top entrapment of the film. What really blew your time though was your participation in the riveting debate on whether Curse of the Cat People was actually a horror film. M’ggan (and you) arguing that was just a film with ghosts. Garfield on the other hand seemed to be of the opinion if it had ghosts it was a ghost story and therefore horror. Plus, it was on The Amazing Mysterio’s Weekend Horror Block. It sounded to you like Quentin Beck was a hack has been special effects man turned b tv host but hey, to each their own.

As the day went on though you got kind of nervous. You had mostly a good idea of the scene Raven was in. She was a goth, born and bred, with a taste for the artsy a little more than the grunge. You had more than a basic idea of how that scene went even if you had never participated in it before. H.I.V.E had it all on all types it seemed. Still you didn’t want (just) to impress her but actually connect with her during this, that required a good vibe and style. Funny that as a model you still really seconded guessed yours.
“Hey M’ggan?” You ask, leaning over M’ggan has she has her nose buried into War of the Worlds. “I need your help with an outfit.”

“Nope. I’m going to say you’d look good in anything.” M’ggan says. “Partly because it’s true and partly because I’m really into this book that’s half comically racist and half brilliant. You Earthlings really are amazing artists.”

Huh

Well how are you going to play this?

At least he's putting his skills to use right?

Reminder to EVERYONE in the thread RIGHT NOW that Mysterio can simply use illusions and trickery to trick high-level mages and magic-users into thinking he's using uncounterable magic of a higher tier than they have, just because they're all so far up their asses about magic. Too bad no writer for DC is able to get ideas like this one from /co/.

You decide to slip in something semi casual, nice way to hedge your bets in the worst case scenario too. You take a late, hot shower and scrub yourself down a little harder than usual. Hey, nerves. Besides it gets you time to think about this. About not wanting to act like a poser because H.I.V.E programmed some knowledge into you. That and the fact you technically still don’t have a car or driver’s license. You were going to have to ask someone drive you down the DMV and fix that.

When you get out and changed, it’s about time you went. You head towards Raven’s room and knock. It takes a few moments during which the heart jumps up to throat a couple of times. Finally Raven answers and the door opens, and Raven’s dark hair pokes out a second before she does, adding a little too the anticipation. It’s worth it though

She comes out in a two piece ensemble that hides it pretty well. A faded blue short skirt combines with a dark blue top that even has a hoodie. Both ride down and up enough to leave a little of her belly visible. She just looks you a little over up and down a bit, a smile coming to her face.

“Nice. I suppose this is the way you stick out least but man you’re still going to be sticking out like a sore thumb.” Raven says with a giggle “So what first.”

The little flaw that was yours. Yet somehow you weren’t proud of it at all.

The Manhattan and by extension New York you had experienced before this had been different to put it mildly. Everything had been middle class and above for a lived in experience, and at worst a working class experience when out on the job. As you make you’re way towards Hell Kitchen there are a couple of mainstays of rest of Manhattan you’d had seen. There’s an art gallery or two, even an over priced clothing store. But it’s mostly bars, pawn shops, and a barber shop here or there. You see a few people who might be derelicts drinking on the side of the street and a couple of people playing dice on the corner. What you gleaned from the news seemed to be true, the neighborhood was changing but not as fast as it presented.

Raven points out the Cup of Agamotto on a near bye corner. It really doesn’t stand out from any other cafe or coffee shop or even hole in the wall restaurant to be honest. Sure it has an eye in a pyramid as a design on the glass of the front door, but there wasn’t even really a sign outside.

You enter and see a rail thin man, with a t-shirt depicting a skull and bones, with thick black wire glasses tending the front counter with a taking a few orders from people in all dark colors for clothes and bright highlights in their hair. Oh boy.

You and Raven take a table by the corner and sit there for a moment as a somewhat short and chubby woman walks to what seems to be a small stage and starts reciting passages from what probably is radical feminist poetry. Well or socialist, rapist killer pigs are either refers to all men or just cops. To be honest you’re not that annoyed or offended whatsoever. It’s amateurish and you don’t necessarily agree with the politics but whatever.

You scan the cafe and see that on the other side of the cafe there were the typical shelves of books you normally find in book stores and places like this. For some that book you accidently took from Raven’s room came to mind. Confession of Monk...something or other. Creepy little you tried to convince yourself was a first person fictional account but alas you had the feeling everything in there was real or the product of an insane person. Parallel realities and universes, dark dimensions filled with things that only could be called demons, and the rituals to either travel there or summon things from there. You had a feeling just from the mood of the place this store mostly catered to that.

In any case though you where here for Raven so…..

“Hey you want to get a book or here or something? My treat...speaking of which, what would you like to eat?” You ask getting up.

“Thanks, I really should be getting at least the books myself though...even if I’m not working.” Raven starts

“It’s fine.” You answer waving her off. “So what do you want?”

“Cappuccino and a smashed Chickenpea salad sandwich.” Raven says a little sheepishly “I’ll be right back. I really owe you Adam.”

You walk over to the corner where the skeleton of man just stares at you while shooing away a bald white muscular man in all army fatigues. You had the feeling that he was looking at you the same way a scientist looked at a practically interesting species of vermin or insect. One that despite all his academic interest he was still completely disgusted by.

“I really didn’t think Raven went for your type” The man said underneath his breath. “Then again when your a hero you can be as vain as you want.”

You just sigh and make your order. The last thing you need to do is start a fight on behalf of Raven’s honor against a barista. His life probably sucks enough as it is. Besides Raven came here for some books, don’t want to ruin that for either just because you can’t stand a passive aggressive jerk.

You walk back to your seat and watch an African American woman takes the stage and reciting more typical ‘goth esque’ poetry. Plenty of lyrics talking about how shitty Reagan was but wrapped up more in metaphor. Stanza’s about alien skies and scorched earth you could guess but couldn’t say for sure was the result of a nuclear arms battle between the Soviet Union and the United States. And the image of a dark hateful god laughing at the end as humanity is no more. Clever, at least more so than the previous one. The problem was with the performance, the lady had no self confidence. It was a shame she was actually pretty talented.

Raven returns to her seat with a stack of three books, only one of which is anything resembling anything mainstream, Books of Blood by Clive Owen. One of which is the English translation of a Roman translation and survey of Celtic magic. One long ass subtitle on that book that just screamed it came from an advanced college course. The other is a book by someone literally named Dr Richard Occult. Doctor Occult studies in the occult. Made, sense his first name was dick.

“So what books did you get? Are the like the spell books you were reading yesterday or something different.” You ask, pointing at one of them. Rave looks up at you and finishes swallowing what she was eating before answering. You had a feeling that was a conscious decision from the exbrient joy that was now on her face.

“Oh, God no. These are more like history books on the occult. The Romans destroyed way to much of Gaul and they had way too few written records for it to be any where near a reconstruction of their mystic arts and the Roman historian who wrote it didn’t even bother. He just catalogs some rituals and the philosophy behind them. As well as a describes a few mythical creatures from the region but more periphery. And don’t get me started on Dr. Occult, the man is a genius. Just one in a series describing Americana urban legends and the magic behind it. He debunks most of it but figured out some of it is legit real.” Raven says in what probably was one giant run on sentence.

“Really though, Dr. Occult?” You tease, bending your head forward, to witch Raven just flicks having a playful pretend annoyed look on her face.

“I don’t know Adam, your name is a little on the nose too, isn’t it?” Raven asks wryly.

“Touche.” You answer taking one last sip of your coffee. You didn’t really go in for the fancy stuff

“So are you interested in the poetry slam going on here?” You ask “This kind of your place or what?”

“Yeah. I mean I prefer professional poets by a mile, buy yeah...sort of. Well I support the idea of it anyway, regular people should get involved in art and express what’s really going in the world. Not just Disney happy go lucky art or mainstream turds they call entertainment.” Raven says, before pausing and just looking at you embarrassed. “Great job Raven, throwing someone deep in the crazy pool during date two.”

You both start laughing at that, you touching your hand to comfort and relax her. It seems like you weren’t the only one not used to the whole dating thing. Or shoving a foot in their mouth, though if you had to bet on it, she looked a lot cuter doing it than you.

“Nah it’s alright. Glad to see someone on the team be passionate about something other than caping.” You whisper. “Well besides Vic and football, but that’s something else.”

“Yeah. Never been here before, though I notice a more than a few faces. The cashier there is Tom, big expert on rare books and grimores. Not so good on the actual philosophy of magic but he’s amazing at telling you if something is a forgery or where to find the good stuff. Nice guy” Raven says.

“I bet, he is totally crushing on you.” You say with a smile.

“Get out.” Raven says, pushing you “Stop being a bully.”

“I mean it, one look at me and man did he get pissy” You say, prompting both of you to laugh.

You leave the book cafe with the bag of Raven’s books in one hand and your wallet a lot later. First and Second editions of rare books turned out to be very expensive even it was for something extremely niche. Well last time you ever went to an occult book store, unless Raven dragged you there again. On the other hand you always wanted to try poetry and spoken jazz.

As you head back towards the more familiar parts of Manhattan the transients and vandals start to disappear and are replaced with the more familiar shoppers and tourists. Over priced clothing lines, useless tacky novelties, and an odd number of pet grooming places line the streets before you hit the theater. None of the crass but none of the charm either. There was a little personality in these new stores but it was there. You had a feeling soon it wouldn’t be. Huh, you really didn’t think through what movie you were going to see.

Hollywood’s rollout to New York actually looked good. A Bond movie, some B horror film, Death Trap with the guy who plays Superman in it, and even a remake of Scarface. Neat. What would Raven like though?

The Burning isn’t bad, not bad at all. A very typical slasher film that follows in Friday the 13th steps a little too much, but it has a lot of things going for it. The caretaker villain motive for killing the teens is actually personal and related to the main character, having been deformed by him. And there was a great kill on a raft. But you know who the killer is from the beginning of the film and they waste your time on a dumb subplot about possibly being the nerd.

On the other hand Raven pretending to be stoic only to jump in your arms and scream during one of the more unique kills is pretty interesting. When you place your arm around her shoulders and pull her in, damn you can’t say the atmosphere is perfect for couples and just for the enjoyment of the film in general hearing all people in the theater scream. Also damn if she just doesn’t look cute nuzzling her head into your chest when killer hacks up the teens. A sentence you’d never thought you’d ever think but there you.

You leave the theater along with a small crowd, throwing out the medium sized bag of popcorn and drink you were sharing into a trash can outside as you discussed the film. Raven couldn’t stop gushing about it and the kills. She seemed easily impressed by it, but then again it seemed because of just pure love and apperication for the genre. She noticed a lot of small camera tricks you missed and just how hard or clever some of those practical effects to pull off. Tonight you really did get to see the nerd in her.

“Hey, it’s a beautiful night, why not enjoy it?” You ask with a smile, offering your arm in a hook.

“God, your so corny.” Raven laughs before extending hers.

The two of you enjoy walking through the cookie cutter streets happy to see the little differences in them and the unique shops that pop once or twice a block. There there were tons of coffee shops, fast food restaurants, pizza joints, clothing outlets, and novelty shops dot there area with a little flair in each one but then there’s the weird stuff bizarre electronics stores and themed arcades. A vegan sandwich shop surprises you and you are utterly stunned that there is a store that sells exclusively lemonade. It’s always the little things.

But it’s the flowers and what you can see of the stars through the light pollution that really gets the two of you. Sure it like you’re see it through a foggy submarine window, but the lights of far off suns mixing in with rainbow neon lights of New York really is something special. It’s not a perfect mixture by any stretch of the imagination. But it filtering through the tress, potted flowers, and buildings into something utterly exquisite.
“Hey Adam, look Jupiter.” Raven states pointing at a faint orb in the air. It almost looked like a star in the electronic fog and with just how damn big the thing was, but she was right. The composition works right only if you factor in that’s in planet.

“Damn you’ve got a good eye.” You say in a low key awe.

“Heh, thanks. Kind of my thing though, the alignment of the planets has a lot do with magic.” Raven says.

“Really?” You ask. “I always thought astrology was bullshit.”

“It is, I’m just playing with you.” Raven says with a sardonic edge in her voice and more than a little mischeif. You look at her and sometimes she managed to keep her poker face up, you notice a little something in the eyes to know she’s enjoying teasing you.

“I’m dating a bully.” You say in a fake hurt voice, which causes the both of you to start erupting in laughter.

The both of you laugh hard enough not to notice the whistling sound of an incoming rocket. The pile of steam flowing behind it just manages to catch your eye but you can’t bring up your force field in time, all you have time to do is grab Raven, pull her towards your chest, while you jump try to jump far away. A normal person would die in the radius of the explosion that burns off most of your clothes, but you moved fast enough for it only to singe you sending you flying through a telephone both. A chuckle follows, a dark humorless echo of yours and Raven’s.

“Welcome home Adam.” Slade says, in his orange and blue armor.

>>1768787

Hey Slade! How's the kids?
>>
>>1768804

I really hope we say something like this to him later on, if not during this fight.
>>
>>1768787
You shake Raven and she gets up with you, eyes starting to glow a dark black that sparks out a little thunderstorm. You turn to face Slade with your fists raised, prompting his mask to flex into what you think probably is a smile. He pulls out two katanas, shaking one towards him as it’s pointed at you.

“Come on.” Slade says. “I’ve been waiting for this a long time, I want to savor this. You want me to butcher the witch before or after you die. Either way I don’t care...but she has a price on her head. Don’t believe what people tell you kid, it’s good to mix business and pleasure.”
