General Rules

15 min voting period after each main post. Write-ins votes are welcomed/encouraged. Votes that are non-contradictory and add to the narrative will be considered. Think 'Rule of Cool'

Combat mechanics/skill test will be done using best three out of five rolls of 1d100, unless otherwise specified. Modifiers may come into play depending on the MC's statistics which can improve odds and vice versa as the QM sees fit. The QM will do their best to inform players of when such modifiers will come up during votes. (Example: Aim at a target at long range with a scattershot weapon will require a higher roll to make a successful hit than a normal blaster weapon).

Training with other bots and successful missions can add to your overall abilities. Strong character relationships with your comrades can also benefit the MC as it will improve battle synergy and moral (less likely to want to fall back/retreat). Of course the vice versa can come into play as well. A failed mission may have consequences but result in unforeseen outcomes (In the show, Tarantulus, Blackarachnia, & Quickstrike were supposed to secure an energon post. The Maximals interfered, resulting in the loss of the post BUT Tarantulus gained a new lair.).

Keep an eye out at your energon build up levels; too much time in robot mode outside of a structure, such as a base can cause negative impacts on your combat maneuvers/skill test, including potential loss of spark. In the event of loss of spark, pending the results of a vote, a time lapse in the narrative will happen and a new stasis pod will fall. (Roll for new character or with a high relation level, a blank protoform will descend and your allies will reignite your spark)

Last time on Beast Wars Quest
You assisted the Maximals in their fight with the Predacons, displaying your ferocity for all to see. Outnumbered and outgunned, you still managed to hold repeated assaults, long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Escorted by the Maximals, you are now approaching the Axalon.

[Howdy folks, just a heads up the Character info page has been updated - still putting the final tweeks on the perk system. May implement it tonight depending on where it goes.]

Walking with the Maximals you’ve finally reached the Axalon. Bit of a rust bucket, it’s definitely seen better days.

Cheetor takes a few steps ahead of the rest.

“Sentinel, stand down.”

ACKNOWLEDGED.

You take notice of an energy shield that dissipates upon your approach and autogun turrets that seems to power down as you get closer. While the ship doesn’t look like much, they seem to at least have the smarts to fortify their position.

“Who’s Sentinel?” You ask.

“It’s our defense system. Our defense specialist Rhinox developed it,” Dinobot replies. “Though if you ask me, it still needs more adequate lethal responses.”

A platform lowers down as Cheetor transforms, “Well here we are. Going up?”

Tigatron and Dinobot transform as well. Dinobot seems more interested in scanning the perimeter. Probably to make sure no Predacons followed you back while the shield was down. Tigatron is doing similar but also waiting to see if you get on first with Cheetor.

Go up with dinobot last, make sure no predacons suddenly grew a pair and are itching for a rematch.

No reason to throw caution to the wind just because we managed to get back to the maximal base.

Also after the meet and greet we should go looking for a lair of our own.

Also read the last few threads in the archive if you're new, we've been a busy little kitty.

>Wait to go up with someone else

While you’re at the Maximal base, that’s no reason to throw caution into the wind. Last thing you want is Predacon trying to get lucky with a cheap shot to your back.

You gesture to Tigatron, “After you.”

Tigatron with a quick nod “As you wish.” Cheetor gives a quick shrug.

“See ya up top.” The platform rises up into the underpart of the ship. Dinobot still scans the area.

“Notice anything?”

He gives a small growl. “Negative. I believe Megatron and the others have returned to their base.” He seems to relax his stance. “You handled yourself well out there.”

“Don’t remember much about my past life, but my combat protocols are sharp as ever.”

Dinobot smirks “Good to here. These Maximals need more true warriors if they plan to win this conflict.”
That’s right. You recall in your conversation with Optimus that this guy used to be a Predacon before defecting. Can you really trust him?

The platform hasn’t descended yet. You figure you’ve got enough time to ask him one question before heading back up.

>”You don’t think the Maximals have what it takes to win this conflict?”
>”Anything I should know about the Predacons, given your ‘unique’ perspective?”
>”Where’s bot is gotta go to get some extra hardware?”

So how big are we compared to the others?
>>
>>1757907
If i recall, I specified it was between Dinobot and Megatron. You're a larger bot so you're on the higher end of the scale
>>
>>1757920
Can we be as big as Metroplex?

>>1757920
That would make us the largest Maximal, wouldn't it? I'm down to be huge as fuck and tank for the team.
>>
>>1757945
Sadly no. As much as i love Metroplex, i dont think he'd fit on the maximal ship.

now if questers want to try and salvage enough energon and resources to try and turn one of the bases into a Metroplex, that might be doable with some great rolls.

>”You don’t think the Maximals have what it takes to win this conflict?”

Dinobot straightens up to your question, but seems to be considering your question.

“Don’t get me wrong. What they lack in military discipline, they make up with the will to fight. Still there are times that they’ve chosen not to push for ultimate victory. I believe they think they can win this war without having to destroy Megatron and his forces.”

The platform comes down again. You and Dinobot give a quick survey of the area again. No sign of enemy contacts.

“Sentinel: Online” Dinobot orders as he gets on. To watch as the energy field reemerges.

SENTINEL ACTIVATED

“Anything I should know about the Predacons, given your ‘unique’ perspective?” you ask as you approach the platform. Dinobot crosses his arms with a bit of a scowl.

“If you’re questioning where my loyalties lie, you’re wasting your time. I wouldn’t have defected to the Maximals if I wasn’t convinced that they could win.” Seems you touched a nerve. The platform starts to rise up into the ship.

“That said, regarding the Predacons, just remember one thing. They’ll remember the thrashing you gave them. Most of them will hold a grudge; shoot first ask questions later or never. If you require more through intel on them, it’ll have to wait for later.”

You rise up into a small chamber with a glass door. It slides up revealing the bridge of the Axalon. A series of command consoles line the majority of the walls, the CR chamber on the opposite end of the two hall way corridors. In the center is round table with a holographic imager projector.
At the one of the consoles you see a shorter robot you’d haven’t seen before talking with Optimus. At side of the center table nearest the CR chamber Cheetor talks with Tigatron while a large brown and green robot stands imputing commands on the opposite side.

“Welcome to the Axalon command center.” Dinobot says. With that all the other bots take notice of you.

You notice Optimus nod to you. Cheetor smiles as he turns back towards you. Perhaps he wishes to speak with you.

>Approach Cheetor and Tigatron

“Hey cool cat,” Cheetor says. “We’re just seeing how Airazor was doing.”

Tigatron turns to you and add. “She took some nasty hits out there.”

You hear a bit of a heavy sigh come from across the table. “I told you both, she just needs sometime in the CR chamber; she’ll be fine if not a bit groggy in a megacycle.”

“Didn’t seem that bad when we were out there.”

“Well most of the actual damage wasn’t that bad, it was mostly the dose of cybervenom.” Cheetor adds. “By the way, that’s Rhinox over there. He handles most of our tech and hardware at the base.”

You give him a quiet nod, which he returns.

“When you have a free moment, I’d like take a few scans and add you into our database. In the meantime as I said, you’ll have to wait a bit to use the CR chamber until it’s free, if you took any damage out there.”

“So that’s what that spider fired at her?”

Tigatron nods, “Nasty stuff. Shuts down you’re higher functions and paralyses you. Leaves you helpless if you’re not careful.”

Cheetor’s tone turns a bit more serious. “Those spiders can be bad news, especially Tarantulus. They prefer ambush tactics.”

>”You mentioned ‘spiders’, what else can you tell me about them?”

>You mentioned 'spiders', what else can you tell me about them?"

"yeah, well so do I." You reply with a tooth filled smirk.

Cheetor gives you a thumbs up while Tigatron cocks an eyebrow.

"You mentioned spiders. I've encountered Tarantulus but what about the other?"

Tigatron stands up straight, "Blackarachnia, she's a sneaky and slippery foe. As treacherous as Tarantulus and just as crafty when it comes to making twisted creations." He crosses his arms. "Don't turn your back around her."

Cheetos nods in agreement. "Yea, but honestly Tarantulus still gives me the the creeps. He's one warped bot. He even preys on living creatures"
He does a quick shiver.

"Didn't seem like much when I nearly cleaved him."

Cheetor, puts his hands up "Hey you wanna tangle with him be my guess. Just watch yourself"

>Talk with Rhinox

“Thanks for the tip. Gonna get situated with everyone if you don’t mind.”

“Yea sure, catch you later Warpath.” Cheetor says.
“Good hunting. See you out there.” Tigatron nods.

You walk over to where Rhinox is standing. He finishes pressing a few buttons on the console. A holographic image of yourself and your beast mode appear in the center.

“Hope you don’t mind I figured I’d get a head start to make this a painless as possible.”

“Though this was just a simple scan?”

“In all intents and purposes it is. Just need to make we have you in our database. Unless you’d rather be blasted by the autoguns outside on your next visit?” Rhinox chuckles. “Now hold still.”

You do as he ask, figure the sooner you can get this taken care of, the sooner you can check out the rest of this place before going about your business. “So I’m told you’re the tech head around here?”

He gives you a side glance, “Yes, as I’ve heard you’re our new resident berserker or so you would appear to be.”

“I only ask because I was wondering about upgrading my weapons or acquiring some additional fire power.”

Rhinox pauses inputting data and rubs his chin for a moment. “Well I might be able to do something with your halberd. And we do have an armory you can check out later once you get Optimus’ clearance.”

Figures I’d have to go through the chain of command. But at least he seems willing to help out. He continues.

“In the meantine, Airazor mentioned something about giving you an extended range transmitter. That I might be able to help you out with, but I’m warning you now. They’re fragile. Being an up close and personal type will put it at risk and they take time to make. You get in a scrap you can’t handle; you’ll be without means of calling for help.”

“Good thing there’s not many situations I can’t handle.”

He finishes imputing scanning you. “Alright there you go. You’ll be all set officially, minus the parts of you that require repairs. You’re body handled a decent amount but wouldn’t hurt to spend a few cycles in CR. Though I noticed you haven’t set your transformation activation sequence.”

“Yea, yea I’ll get to it.”

He just looks at you for a moment. “Right. Then I won’t take any more of your time.

>”Can you do anything with this?” (Hand him your piece of T-cog from Terrorsaur)

You show your prize from earlier to Rhinox, whos a bit taken aback. “What the…Where did you..”

“Borrowed it from the flying lizard. He won’t need it for a while.”

He looks at you, down at the cog, back at you and just shakes his head. “You’ve got a chrome plated pair on you.” Rhinox takes it out of your hands and gives it a quick once over. “What exactly were you thinking?”

“Well I was thinking bronzed and framed.”

He gives you that look again.

“But if you can, I don’t know, reverse engineer it or something. He was a flier right? Maybe access to a flight mode?”

He sighs heavily, “Well, for one, it’s not in one piece, pretty shoddy removal.”

“What do you want from me; I’m a soldier, not some surgeon.”

“Aside from that obvious fact, I don’t think I can give you a flight mode.”

Well that’s was a waste of time…

“But I could possibly improve your transformation sequence. Make it quieter similar to Tigatron or I could see if I can salvage any of his ‘lift off’ programing if any can recovered to give you a stronger jump in robot mode. Again jumping, not flying.”

Hmm doesn’t sound too bad.

“Gotta admit there’s something appealing to being able to ambush enemies easier. I’ll take that.”

Rhinox nods, “Alright. I’ll have the system upgrade you when you go into the CR chamber.”

You part ways with Rhinox for now as he sets the cog down on the console to further scan it.

“Glad to see you getting along with the rest of the crew.” Optimus says. “You’re gonna have to tell me the story about how you manage that.”

“I wouldn’t mind hearing it myself.” The smaller robot spins his chair facing towards you. “Remind me to show you my collection of Waspinator bits. Hehe”

“Quiet, Rattrap.”

“It’s good to see you in one piece. When the others said they couldn’t find you at the battle, I had feared the worst.”

“Didn’t think I could handle myself?”

“It’s not about how tough you are or capable you are. I’ve seen that first hand. It’s about losing a fellow Maximal and ally in battle.” Optimus places his hands on his waist.

“Sheesh, this guy reminds me of ol’ chopper face.”

Optimus continues, “You can’t be reckless out there. You’re a soldier you should know that. Thanks to you I was able to get Airazor back here in one piece and we’re grateful. But you can’t do this on your own.”

“I’d beg to differ.”

“Hey fangface,” the rat bounces off his chair, “You would’ve been slagged if the rest of the guys hadn’t showed up. Sure you took out a Pred or two, but I doubt that you’ve survived the goon squad and Megs himself.”

“Rattrap you’re not helping.” Optimus shakes his head. “Listen, Warpath. I know you want to go this alone, and I respect that. But that doesn’t mean you’re not a Maximal and can’t do with our help. Just as we would benefit from your efforts. Are you willing to stay here with us? We have the facilities.”

“If he doesn’t want to stay, let’em go.” Rattrap says. “He can always join Tigatron the barbarian out in the wild as a long range scout. Keep us in the loop if the Preds move around.”

>I’d rather be out in the wild

You stand firm. “Look, I’m fine with helping you all out when you need but remember I won our contest. I’ll be fine on my own. I wouldn’t expect the Preds to come looking for me unless they’re looking to get shredded into scrap.”

The room’s quiet for a moment. Each Maximal is looking at you and Optimus waiting for his response. Optimus takes your words into consideration before speaking.

“As you wish. Let the record show that I’m not fond of this idea and this one man war you’re willing to endure, but it is your choice.”

“Glad we’re all on the same page.”

“Optimus are you sure about this?” Rhinox ask

“It’s fine Rhinox. Let Warpath find his own way.”

“Do I still get those toys we talked about?”

“On one condition.”

You snarl lowly. “And that would be?”

“The extended range com won’t be sufficient. You’ll need a long range relay station.”

Tigatron speaks up, “I have one out in north when I need to send reports. Once you’ve established yourself I can assist you in setting up.”

This relay station will be able to scan immediate areas of where you would establish your lair in addition to being able to make tight beam communications with the Maximal base that ignore energon interference. The downsides to it are that its signal can be detected and potentially intercepted by Predacons if they can code break your communications and it needs to be in an elevated position, in the open or partially concealed.

As you contemplate this decision, the doors of the CR chamber opens up, and Airazor sets out.

>Works for me, Prime.
>Whatever, don’t expect too many calls. Too busy shredding Preds

“Deal. I look forward to give sending you the all the gruesome details.” You also take this time to take a jab. “And if you’re bored, you can always ask for rematch.”

Rattrap pipes in, “Heh, give me a heads up on that. We can put credits on it.”

He puts his hand up. “Keeping us updated on their movements and anything else relevant,” he looks down at Rattrap when he says that, “Will be more than enough Warpath. Just be careful out there.”

Optimus sticks his hand out to shake which you take. Ape’s gotta grip, but you don’t need to be reminded on how strong he is.

“Chamber’s free if you’re ready.” Rhinox chimes.

As you move towards the chamber, you catch Airazor talking with Cheetor and Tigatron.

“How’re you feeling?” Tigatron ask.

“Much better. Not that I’m keen on waking up from the stasis mode.” She says with a nod.

Cheetor places a hand on her shoulder, “Beats getting vaped. But don’t worry you’ll be kicking Pred butt in not time.”

They share a chuckle together, when you notice Airazor catching your presence.

Maybe phrase it as "Didn’t expect to see me here either, but here I am, and getting a tune up while I'm here."

>”Didn’t expect to see me here either, but here I am.”

“Didn’t expect to see me here either, but here I am, getting a quick tune up while I’m here.”

Airazor gives a bit of a surprised expression. Before she can comment, Cheetor interjects.

“Yea, Warpath here took on a squad of Preds and tore Terrorsaur to pieces.”

“I don’t know if you’re extremely brave or just crazy.”

You just shrug as you enter the chamber, “Maybe a little from column A and a little from column B.”

With that the door comes down, and you are surrounded in darkness. It’s a strange sensation, like a deep sleep. Almost like being back within the pod. That makes you uneasy. You’re not really bothered by these chambers, being a commando its part of the job description. Maybe it’s just from having been inactive for so long.

As your mind drifts, you feel a strange sensation. You’re surrounded by grassland and trees, body low to the ground. The hot sun beating down as you slow your breathing and creep forward. You can see it now, unaware of your presence a large beast with horns, feeding in ignorance. Just a bit closer. Closer. And then, Rwaor! You leap and…

“Repair sequence complete. You can come out now Warpath."

The door rises up and the light of the ship hinders your photo receptors for a moment. It takes a moment for you to regain your bearings. You’re in the Maximal ship, the Axalon. You look around. Rhinox is stand in front of the door and you see Cheetor sitting by one of the consoles.

“What’s new pussycat? You alright? Seems like the procedure was a bit more taxing than expected. How do you feel?”

>I’m not sure what just happened. Are my upgrades functional?

“I had a strange…dream or something.”

Rhinox rubs his chin. “It’s not uncommon to experience old memories while in stasis lock.”

“These were different.” You shake the thoughts from your mind. “Nevermind, Are my upgrades functional?”

He performs a quick scan. “According to the computer everything should be operational. Do a quick switch from beast mode to robot mode.”

“Beast mode.” You transform into your large sabertooth tiger form. Feels good, right. But you need to focus and remember you’re in the middle of something. “Warpath, Transform”

You transform but this time, without a roar and the movements of the gears and parts are almost completely silent.

“Not too shabby, tabby.” Rhinox smiles with a nod.

UPGRADE OBTAINED: Stealth mode – Warpath can now transform without making a sound unless he wants to. He can choose to activate this ability whenever he likes with the simple command, ‘Stealth mode”. This function is currently active. Mind that this will make it hard for robots to detect you by auditory means, they can still see you and potentially detect you with sensors sweeps.

You like the edge that this will give you. Any means to get an edge as you wage your guerilla warfare against the Predacons will help.

“Also Warpath, I’ve got this for you.” Rhinox approaches you with a circular device. You keep a quick eye on him as he secures it to your arm.

“Here’s the Extended Range Communicator. You’ve already heard all about this so I won’t waste your time.”

“Thought Prime said it wasn’t gonna be enough and you were giving me some relay.”

“It’ll do while you look for your outpost or lair. Whatever you decide to hang our hat.” Rhinox uses a tool on the device and it lights up.

EQUIPMENT OBTAINED: ER Com – this device extends the range of your communications tenfold. This will cut past energon interference with greater ease than your built in radio. Being an outer equipped device, its vulnerable to damage.

“Once you’ve chosen a suitable location we’ll send out a squad with the relay equipment.”

“Works for me.”

Cheetor spins around his chair to face you guys. “So Warpath, any idea on where you wanna set up?”
He clicks on a keys and a large map pops up.

Rhinox, “We’ve done a bit of work ourselves on what would be ideal locations to triangulate with you Airazor and Tigatron but if you have a place in mind, that’ll work too.”

Cheetor brings up three screens. “These were the locations we had considered.” The first screen displays a swampy forest. Lots of fog and trees; not too far from both bases. The second screen is around the place you were you fought off the Predicon fliers. Its overall neutral ground but closer to the base than the first option, putting you on the frontlines. The third option is further out, barren wasteland but several rock formations. Rhinox raises a concern.

“Cheetor, that grid is Predacon terrirtoy.”

“True, but I figured it would be more of Warpath’s MO. Dinobot felt that it would allow him to constantly harass the Preds.”

“It’ll also make him more likely to get swarmed if he’s discovered.”

You look over the options.

>Swamp lands will be fine. It’ll give the Maximals the widest net for detection
>Grassland/Forest is more your speed. Nothing wrong with familiarity.
>Rocky wasteland. You’re sure the Preds won’t mind you constantly knocking on their door.

“That grassland forest area should do fine. More my speed.”

Cheetor nods. “I occasionally scout that area during jungle patrols. Don’t hesitate to call if you want a little back up.”

Rhinox speaks up. “If I recall you were asking for some additional hardware.” He points down to one of the hallways. “Fourth door down, on the left. Dinobot will be down there to help you.”

“Thanks.”

“Be careful out there.”

“He’ll be fine. No Predacon’s gonna mess with him.” Cheetor smiles as he goes back to his monitor.

You go down the corridors look at the doors you around. You pass by a few closed doors but notice one that’s open. Fourth door on the left.

“Ah, finally.” You see the large Maximal inside. It looks like he was doing some maintenance on a few of their spare blasters and cannons.

“So you’re looking for an extra bit of hardware.”

“You got it. Don’t get me wrong, nothing beats slicing through a bot’s body but never hurts to have something for range.”

Dinobot nods. “An astute observation.” He gesture to a several arms along the walls. “So what exactly would you feel would work best for you?”

>Small repeater. Similar to Rattrap’s and Airazor’s guns. Lots of ammo, rapid fire capable, lower damage output, most effective at medium range.
>Medium hand cannon. Similar to Cheetor and Tigatron’s weapons. Decent ammo, moderate rate of fire, solid damage, effective at medium and long range. Rapid fire can cause quasar jams.
>Heavy rifle. See image. Requires lots of room to wield effectively. Ammo clip dependent. Slow rate of fire, heavy damage, very effective at medium to longe range. Scope option.

Big boy loadout.
>>
>>1759099
The rifle seems unecessary ina forest if we were going to the mountais i would take the big boy gear. But grenades may disturb the wild life and cause a fire in our hideout. So i would like to try avoid to much damage to it.

You know what would disturb the wildlife even more? Predacons we haven't exploded.

Is is possible to get remote controlled explosives or tripwire triggered explosives?
As for weapons, can we get something lighter, more like a assault rifle or a scout sniper rifle?
>>
>>1759097
>>Medium hand cannon.
>>
>>1759118
Hmm i hadnt considered this. I think you'd be able to do this or persuade a tech user to make you some.

as for the weapons, the small blaster is the lightest atm, and concealable due to Warpath's size. but again you can have a tech Frankenstein you a weapon like a collapsible sniper rifle.
>>
I will also rule that the Medium Hand Cannon will also be concealable. Especially seeing how Cheetor has two models of weapons. It'd only make sense for Warpath to be able to have one
>>
>Heavy rifle.
>>Hey are those grenades? (Frag )
>>
>>1759118
A scout sniper rifle would be right up our alley.

Sure its not great in close woods, but we'de be using it at long range to scout from a vantage point anyway.
>>
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Fusion_rifle#Fusion_grenade
apparently the grenades are something rattrap cooked up from his demo charges.

Also, machine guns?
http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Machine_gun
I want either something that can work like Arnold Schwarzenegger in commando/predator, or something like a compact SMG, so maybe the repeater?
>>
>>1759136
Yeah, but I don't want a "heavy" rifle. We could probably customize it and lighten it up, but at the same time, a good compact rapid fire repeater would complement our melee abilities better and not be so cumbersome when we need to do stealth things.
>>
>>1759143
While i'd say yes to the fusion pistol but the other ones were post Transmetals. So maybe down the line, but currently not now

I was linking that for the fusion grenades and the other one was for Rhinox's twin gatling guns.

Primus, if we were a fembot would we have been able to get torso mounted auxiliary energon gel batteries?
>>
>>1759219
Are you seriously asking me if you could've gotten implants as a fembot? Haha the rest of your fellow bots would be looking at you strangely
>>
>>1759416
They'd be looking until they run out of energon and we'd be the only one with any energy left.

That reminds me, how do the Maximals/Predacons run? The Autobots/Decepticons needed Energon constantly, to the point where Megatron would do stupid shit like try to turn Baby Tears into Energon every week.
>>
>>1759136
I'd support scout sniper as well, we're never gonna hit hard from range
>>
>>1759097
>Medium hand cannon. Similar to Cheetor and Tigatron’s weapons. Decent ammo, moderate rate of fire, solid damage, effective at medium and long range. Rapid fire can cause quasar jams.
>>
>>1759445
Haha that's a possibility. I'm not saying no, but it would definitely need voting support like most write in ideas

They run on energon as well, though their beast modes can 'eat' as a means to recharge their energy levels. (Predacons are shown to practice this more often than Maximals)

The difficult thing for both sides at the moment is that energon is in high supply but it's raw and unstable which requires careful mining.
>>
>>1759097
>Medium hand cannon. Similar to Cheetor and Tigatron’s weapons. Decent ammo, moderate rate of fire, solid damage, effective at medium and long range. Rapid fire can cause quasar jams.

Seems best to round us out. I'd also like to be able to request grenades or a heavy rifle for special missions, though.
>>
>>1759097
Perhaps a re vote on this is called for.
Let's throw in more granularity for the choices.
All ranges given are the average for each choice.
Handguns are by definition short range arms. That is their domain and where they perform the best, barring extreme examples. All handguns fire quicker than rifles, again, barring extreme examples.

>Small Repeater: Similar to Rattrap’s and Airazor’s guns. Lots of ammo, rapid fire capable, lower damage output, most effective at SHORT RANGE.
Think machine pistol like the 93R or G18. Small, lightweight, easily handled. Can dual wield.
>Medium Repeater: A step up in terms of firepower, capacity, and range at the expense of being larger and heavier, though not as much as the Hand cannon. Higher ammo capacity and damage output but lower rate of fire. Most effective at SHORT RANGE.
Think submachine gun like the MP5 or P90. Deeper power reserves due to size but negated by enhanced damage. Larger, heavier, and slightly less easy to handle. Can dual wield as well.
>Heavy Repeater: Similar to Cheetor and Tigatron’s weapons. Decent ammo, moderate rate of fire, solid damage, most effective at SHORT RANGE. Rapid fire can cause quasar jams.
Think revolvers like the Taurus Raging Bull or S&W 460/500. Large and powerful, they trade energy capacity for raw damage. The strongest of the handguns barring unique ones like the twin chainguns of Rinox or Megatron's T-Rex head. Dual wielding is possible but not advised.

Rifles are by definition medium range arms. That is their domain and where they perform the best, barring extreme examples. Their damage output will always be greater than pistols, again, barring extreme examples.

>Light Rifle: Like its repeater counterpart, it boasts capacity, firing speed, and portability unmatched by larger rifles, at the expense of damage output, which is the lowest in this group. Most effective at MEDIUM RANGE.
Think M16/AK47 in terms of size and capacity/damage. Are the only rifles that can be dual wielded but it is STRONGLY advised that you do not or self damage can occur.
>Medium Rifle: The bread and butter of the rifle segment. More powerful than the light rifle by a considerable margin, this is where the spark ending firepower begins. A good deal larger than the Light Rifle as well as heavier, it strikes the balance point of power, capacity, range, and versatility that make it the go to weapon of choice for those who favor potential one hit kills instead of the death by a thousand cuts that the prior choices represent. Most effective at MEDIUM/LONG RANGE.
Think anywhere from M40A3 to M107. Massive amounts of variation all with their own give and take. Fired using both hands while shouldered. Go ahead and break your wrist actuators firing these one handed. I dare you.

these gun descriptions are awaken the sleepy /k/ommando inside me QM
>>
>>1761682
Sorry but I am not QM. I just thought a well informed choice was in order and we needed more info and choices. All of this is up for QM to decide should he deign to.
>>
>>1761647
>Heavy Rifle: BIG. That's the first word most bots say when they see one. Heavy Rifles are some of the most powerful hand weapons that can be wielded by a lone bot. Large, unwieldly, and cumbersome, you're going nowhere fast once you're set up and in position. But when you are, watch out! Anything but the largest and most armored bots are but a trigger pull away from losing a limb or going into stasis lock. Lighter bots are in even greater danger from this weapon as their spark could be lost with only one shot. Must be fired with both hands while shouldered. Kneeling or prone is recommended. Most effective at MEDIUM/LONG RANGE.
Think Lahti or Borfos. These things are anti-tank rifles, plain and simple. Do NOT be on the receiving end.

The sniper rifle is more like an Anti-Material rifle than a traditional one, having both long range and impressive damage. What they lack in single shot damage they make up for in sheer precision, able to make shots on vital components with pinpoint accuracy.

>Sniper Rifle: Slightly larger than the medium rifle for the same specs, it uses this extra mass to grant the user unmatched accuracy. Able to pick off a Waspinator wing at long range, accept no substitutes. Most effective at LONG RANGE
Think M40A3 to M107.

>Hey are those grenades? (Frag )

Made a mistake with the medium rifles. Replace the M40A3 or M107 with FN FAL.

Please accept my humble offerings.

Well to be frank, I wanted to stick more towards the 'canon' technologies of the original series. I do want there to be a bit more wiggle room so I will consider expanding the options for next Weds thread, but probably not to this level. Again it will be more inline with the shows technology.

I'll look it over a bit more in detail when I get home. I'm on a mini vacation ATM and the internet isn't great at the current hotel, which is the reason we didn't end up running today. Was hoping it was gonna be better so I could do maybe a short run but that's not looking likely.

So hey Primus, did any of the other Autobots/Decepticons get upgraded to Maximal/Predicon like Ravage?

If so, Grimlock when?
>>
>>1765201
Hmm im gonna say 'maybe' and no idea will depend on how players want the story to go

a few toys had names of older gen characters so you might see some, depending on how stasis pods good in the future.
>>
>>1762140

Anons such as DChQ there can be overly enthusiastic with their suggestions, I've seen it in plenty of quests. But you're in charge. Let's stick to the basic sci-fi stuff we see on the show, as you say.

Enjoy your mini vaction, looking forward to when you do get a chance to run.

Don't get me wrong I love the amount of enthusiasm and interest people have in the narrative. I'm looking forward to next Wednesday. Hope to catch you guys then
