Last time on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:
After recooperating from the last battle, you learn of King Vegeta's dislike for you, and help assure the young Prince Vegeta that he'll be ready to lead his own team once you arrive on Planet Vegeta. Your ship is then boarded by the Hive, you and Vegeta crushing the initial assault after both suffering serious injuries. After waking from the healing pod, you bust out and rally your team. Blasting your way out, your ship makes it to the infamous Pirate's Den. After purging the Hive from your ship, you land and disembark to be faced with three strange beings.

Before you say anything, your hand goes to your scouter and you check the trio's powerlevels. The one in the center is a whopping 27000, the one to his right is 24000, and to his left has 25700. But then your scouter picks out even more powerlevels around you. Behind the trio is yet another, reading at 23000. But there is nothing there. Your scouter shows an outline of the creature, but your eye sees nothing. Neat trick. You find another two with your scouter by looking around, both sub-26000.
"Interesting." their leader says. "That device on your face allows you to detect us even when we're cloaked."
"Yeah. Useful little tool." you reply, deactivating it.
"Interesting. Very well, everyone de-cloak." it says, the three cloaked hunters revealing themselves and startling your team.
"So I assume you will fight me yourself then, pack leader?"

"Yeah, let's do this." you say, dropping into your fighting stance. Your team backs up to your ship, staying out of the way, while the other creatures back up the way they came from. Their leader puts its mask back on, Red lasers start sweeping forth from it. They don't appear to be weapons themselves, how odd. The creature stands there, knees slightly bent, arms to its sides, seemingly waiting on you to make the first move.

You dash up to the hunter, meeting its charge head-on. With a shout you both cross-counter. The force of your puncces sends a shockwave, the force pushing everyone else nearby back. Before you can press the assault, the hunter's knee connects to your gut, winding you. Exhaling, you bend forward only for your head to be grabbed and the hunter drives the same knee again into your face, crunching your nose sending out a spray of blood. You bring your arms up in time to block the next knee. Before you can retaliate, you're thrown back to the ground. Standing, you wipe your bleeding nose off on the back of your glove then take your stance again as the hunter lands across from you, arms crossed.

"Ok this guy's good." you think to yourself. "I need a new approach."
With that in mind, you hold your stance, waiting on the hunter's next move.
"You bore me." it says, extending a pair of metal blades from its right arm. "Time to end this."
Rushing at you, the hunter aims his blades directly for your heart. But you're ready. You leap up above his metal claws, savagely kicking the creature in the chin. The force of your kick tears its mask off, sending it and the hunter flying. It lands on its hands, back handspringing back to its feet and exploding off of the ground rushing you again. You bob and weave around the hunter's jabs, then catch the foot it tried to kick your head off with. You spin in a quick circle to build momentum, then launch the hunter. Before it can right itself you fire an Energy Wave, catching it square in the face and blasting it out of the air. You resume your stance as the hunter stands, glaring at you.
"Seems I underestimated you." it says, taking a defensive stance. "I won't make that mistake again."

You rush the hunter again, but this time you have a plan. You rush the same way as before, but just before you reach the hunter you stop, it still blocking. It realizes it has been had, but its too late. Before it can react, you deliver a savage uppercut to its gut, spittle spraying. The force of your punch lifts it up off its feet. Rearing back, you hit it across the face with a strong left cross, sending it tumbling to the ground.

Shakily rising to its feet, the hunter looks at you angrily. Standing up to its full height, it bellows out in rage, aura flaring up as it charges up an attack.

You unleash your attack as the hunter unleashes a Super Explosive Wave, the blast tearing up the ground. Your attack passes right through the expanding energy, you barely avoid taking the hunter's head off with your strike. But as you pass by, you ring your knee forward into the hunter's face, breaking its concentration and knocking it over on its ass. Your attack ending several yards behind the hunter, you turn back to look at him.

Still laying on the ground, the hunter starts laughing as you walk over towards it.
"You fight well, mercenary." the hunter tells you, as you clasp his arm and haul him to his feet. "Tell me, where did you learn how to fight?"

"Back home, on Planet Vegeta." you tell him, you both walking to where your teams are standing.
"Wait, Planet Vegeta?" he says, confused. "Then you're Saiyans?"
"Yeah, we're Saiyans." you say, your teams coming up around the both of you. "We were on our way home when we got attacked by the Hive. So we're stuck here until we can get our ship fixed and finish the trip."

"Hmmm." it says, pondering. "If you're mercenaries, there are a few patrons here in the looking to get some dangerous jobs done. I'm sure getting your ship fixed up could be included in your fee."

You talk with the hunter as your two groups head inside, him showing you to the bar where mercenaries and buyers alike mingled. You spot the difference immediately. The buyers are all sitting at tables, a few men around them for protection. Mercenaries come up, ask about the job, and negotiate pay. If they can't agree, the merc walks.
"Well I see a few potentials." Tunnip says.
"Which ones are you thinking?" you asks her.
"Well, so far theres the blue guy in an orange suit with a metal arm, several robots around him. The guy with black skin and a red beard, not wearing anything and has just the one merc in the scarf and straw hat with him. Then there's the cyclops over there in the golden armor, with that guy with several heads.
"Wait, why those?" Meloka asks.
"They're picky." Nappa says. "They've turned down several applicants already. They're our best bet."
"Right." you say, walking forward. But to who?

"Saiyans. Come at me whenever you're ready. Prove your worth to me."
"Wait, all of us?" Meloka asks, confused. "Are you sure?"
"Quite sure. Whenever you all are ready."

You look over at Nappa and nod, you both knowing the plan immediately. Turning to Meloka, you tell her "Full power." while holding up three fingers. You see realization in her eyes, then you and Nappa dash at Lord Boros. You have to slow yourself a bit to not out-pace Nappa, once again realizing how far the gap between the two of you has grown. You both dash in sync and slam your fists together into Boros' guard. The shockwaves from the impact catch Melzargard off-guard and send him tumbling along the ground. Boros doesn't budge, but his eye lights up from the impact.

You and Nappa attack together, pressing Boros from both sides and keeping his attention focused on you. He stays on the defensive, not retaliating against your strikes.
"Karn! Now!" Meloka shouts at you. You and Nappa leap up into the air, Boros turning to the voice.

"FINAL FLASH!!"
Wait what? Turning and looking, you see Vegeta firing his Galick Gun, Meloka firing a Final Flash, and Tunnip firing a Full-Power Energy Wave. The beams seem to combine just before impacting Lord Boros. The blasts hit the powerful alien and detonate, the blast knocking both you and Nappa back. As the smoke clears, you see Boros still standing, uncrossing his arms and looking between you and your teammates.

You see him looking between your groups, and settle on the far group. You draw your Energy Blade as he raises his hand, energy gathering in his palm. Before he can fire, you blitz down toward him, intent on slashing his arm. But before your attack connects, he intercepts your blade with a single finger. You swing over and over, pulling his attention from your teammates. But now his full attention is on you. As you're swinging, he points his other hand at you and fires the Energy Wave.

The blast takes you full in the torso and face, you have no time to block or dodge.

Everything is searing light and pain. You feel a dull thud on your back, barely noticable. As the light ends, you simply fall forward from the wall to the ground. The smack of the ground to your face let's you know you're still alive. You simply lay there for a few moments, waiting for everything to stop hurting. You then struggle to stand, the effort almost too much for you. But you push yourself to your feet, looking towards Lord Boros and seeing an incredible sight:

"Meloka..." you breathe out astonished. She's done it! At least somewhat. Hair spiked up and golden aura, she's shouting in rage and pressing the attack against Lord Boros. He's entirely on the defensive now, her attacks actually pushing him back. He seems to be unable to counterattack, at least for now.

Looking up, you see Boros knock her down, about to strike her. Not on your watch! With your Super Saiyan speed, you dash to Meloka and Lord Boros, grabbing his arm as he went to strike. He turns to look at you, astonishment all over his face. Before he can react further, Meloka plants both feet into his gut with a mighty kick. The force of her kick sends Boros airbourne, the cyclops stopping after flying a dozen or so feet through the air, staring hard down at the both of you as Meloka flips up to her feet.

Meloka takes off towards Boros at full speed without even noticing you yet, her rage blinding her to everything but Boros. You fly up and keep pace, matching her increased speed easily. As you close on Boros, you both punch at him, him blocking each of your punches in a hand. But Meloka isn't done. She follows up her attack with a flurry of strikes, you joining in and pressing the attack. Lord Boros is forced backwards, losing ground to both of you. Backed to the wall, he releases a short burst of power, forcing you both back. Before he can retaliate, she grabs one of his arms with her other hand and tosses Boros over her shoulder, sending him crashing into the ground. He stands, looking up at the both of you and says,
"Yes. YES! This is what I'm looking for!"

Instead of being a simple cone, the golden energy changes into a large golden dragon, roaring out at Lord Boros. He tries to block, but your attack pierces through him and his armor, causing a giant explosion at his location.

You stop your attack before you go through a wall, flipping and landing feet first on the wall. Backflipping, you land on the ground and look back towards Lord Boros.

With a shout, your fists collide, shockwaves exploding out and knocking everyone in the room over. The force us so strong it even forces both you and Lord Boros back, seperating you two. You keep rushing each other, the force of your attacks colliding keeps knocking you both away, neither of you able to stay close. You collide over a dozen times in a second, fists and knees striking each other as fast as you both can manage.

The next time you rush, he does something different. As you go to strike, he does a backflip and uppercuts you in the stomach, launching you into the armored wall. You impact so hard you become embedded in the wall. Before you can free yourself, Boros launches himself at you and plants both feet in your chest, sending you completly through the reinforced wall and spilling into a room that appears to be a mess hall. Before you can look closer, Boros is complety through the wall and headed right towards you.

What will you do now?

I like that even our shit rolls get us on some path. At least Boros is now assured of our strength to some degree, but he doesn't see us as strong enough to actually do too much to him yet. So we're in that respectable but nonthreatening sweet spot, same we were with Freeza.

You rush to meet his charge, and you have an idea. You charge up an Energy Punch in both hands as you fly towards Boros. With a crash, you both collide in midair again. However, this time when your fists collide, your Energy Punch blasts Boros back while you remain in place. This sets you up for a strike with the other hand, quickly closing the distance and smashing him in the face. Your attack explodes in his face, sending him back into the reinforced wall hard enough to dent it and rebound.

Energy Fists Learned

Before he can prepare himself, you've recharged your Energy Fists and slam another into his chest, blasting him hard enough to embed him in the wall. You keep charging up and smashing him over and over with Energy Punches, until you punch Lord Boros back through the reinforced wall into the fighting area.

Melzargard, Vegeta, Nappa, and Tunnip all stare on as Boros comes flying back into the room, you in close pursuit with your Energy Fists active. Rushing in, you deflect his strike and deliver a dual-hand punch, sending Boros hard into the far wall. You're about to reactivate your Energy Fists when Melzargard steps between you both, facing Lord Boros.
"Master, I believe his strength to be adequate, right master?" Melzargard asks. "He will certainly be strong enough to assist us, yes?" It is good.

".... Yes, you're right." Boros says, dropping his stance and walking to you. "I didn't catch your name before. Who are you?"
