Im a bit worried I may have forgotten our little human brother's name. IIRC he was named Wolfric after our uncle... I think

Old Thread >>1713145

So, to use our holiday productively, we decide to go look for some good spots for the wind turbines in the Eopolis' cliffs, and take our family to visit.

Mom and Ellie are coming with our siblings, but dad already had plans to visit a friend in Opal, and can't get in contact on time to reschedule, so ihe's going along with uncle Dan.

Well, that means its Elysia, Alrong, Athena and Wolfric are coming escorted by Ellie, mom and Zoe.

We are also taking Lyann along, of course, but Aritsu said she wanted to spend the day with her sister and it seems they are going to visit the nomad's campsite outside Albion.

Maybe we should invite some friends along?

But both Stella and Alard are on a trip, remember? By the way, that reminds me that they should be on their way back soon. I wanted to write Stella growing up on the trip by being disenchanted by how Alard's mom treats her like a pet instead of like a person, and then leaning unto Alard for real affection, growing into a couple and coming back more mature, but since each time I proposed to go take a look and what they were doing people always chose other options, I guess its gonna just happen off camera...

Stella didn't take a tree we could Treestride to?

And what is Alard doing? Why hasn't he responded to Nisa's proposal?

And bring along Portia.
>>
>>1737394
>Stella didn't take a tree we could Treestride to?
Nope. We could send a message to Alard on our linked journals and have Stella treestride back with him if its an emergency, though.

>And what is Alard doing? Why hasn't he responded to Nisa's proposal?
Alard and Stella are traveling together with Alard's mom

>And bring along Portia.
You are right I forgot about her, sorry. Assume she's coming along. Anyone else?
>>
>>1737412
>Alard and Stella are traveling together with Alard's mom
That's not what I meant. The question was in context to what his response was to Nisa's stated desire to have a relationship with him, what with the honey fairies becoming a Civilized Race.
>>
>>1737412
>Anyone else?
I can't think of anyone.
>>
>>1737412
Bring Miel and Miel II, and Nisa.
It's going to be Nisa's Hive that will be constructing the turbines, so better bring her along.
>>
Also, Eldric not being okay with loving Stella and Zoey sexually, but Alard and pretty much everyone else being okay with it? Won't this cause some trouble with Eldric looking like a dense idiot again?
>>
>>1737420
>Nisa's stated desire to have a relationship with him

He thinks she's 'adorable'. Always wanted a little sister, but his parents, well... they didn't get along for very long.
I had this whole thing planned in advance with him first just trying to support Stella when his mom breaks her heart, then it snowballs until they had a relationship for a couple of years.

Though honestly I think they would be pretty cute together if I decide to keep them together and the players don't do anything about it.

>>1737447
Uhmm I don't think thats really a problem since Stella had zero romantic interest in anyone prior to the journey. It's not as if she had made a move on Eldric or viceversa, and as an older brother myself, I can tell you that even now that my little sister has a family of her own, all I see when I look at her is my little baby sister, you know?

She still hates when I give her baby talk, and she's fun to tease like that, and that's it. I don't see any problem with Eldric seeing Stella as just his baby little sister, and he does has our world's POV blocking him from seeing Zoe (who does have romantic feelings for him) as a potential romantic partner at all.

Plus he's more right than you'd think. Zoe herself doesn't really knows what sort of feelings she has. She's super happy having a nap with Eldric, for example.

Anyway, if you want to change their relationship dynamics, I am all ears on the how and the why
>>
>>1737481
>Anyway, if you want to change their relationship dynamics, I am all ears on the how and the why
Why wouldn't Alard have the same reaction to Stella that Eldric has?
Conversely, Stella always looked at Alard as another brother, so simple convenience is what leads to her developing romantic feelings for him after being faced with emotional stress?
The target of her feelings could have just as easily been Eldric if he was there instead of Alard?

And Nisa would be pretty upset at Alard's reaction. Not just at having her confession rebuffed, but being treated as a child and not as a fully mature woman (of her race), even though she has more duties and responsibilities, and maturity, than Alard himself.
>>
>>1737430
Alright, so Nisa and Miel?

>>1737542
>Why wouldn't Alard have the same reaction to Stella that Eldric has?
Because he doesn't lives with her and never thought of her as his little sister so he has no built-in resistance due to the specter or incest sealing away his libido and potential romantic interest.

But I guess I should read this conversation as "the p´layers want Stella to end up with Eldric" and adjust things accordingly. Just in case, I am going to ask

Stella joining Eldric's future home

Alard and Nisa ending up together (maybe we should help Nisa level up so she can grow bigger?)

>Alard and Nisa ending up together (maybe we should help Nisa level up so she can grow bigger?)
Y
I expected a more pro-active stance from Nisa regarding leveling, but we have been putting a lot of work on her Hive in preparation for the invasion, so I suppose it was to be expected.

Also, the Westermarck Effect isn't proven; that study on Israeli kibbutz kids that looked like it supported the Effect was shown to have major problems when a followup asked the kids who they were attracted to, and they indicated they were most attracted to the other kids of their own kibbutz.
>>
>>1737575
>>Stella joining Eldric's future home
>>No
>>Alard and Nisa ending up together (maybe we should help Nisa level up so she can grow bigger?)
>>Y

Stella has 'learned' from Eldric that harems are fine and helps smooth things in to a happy relationship.
>>
>>1737575
Nisa should already be able to transform to human size. She's been partying with Alard for dungeon runs.
>>
Well, looks like most people want to see Nisa/Alard but Stella/Eldric is up in the air, so I'll just see how it develops over time.

Its true, sometimes characters take a life of their own, you know?

Anyway, continuing.

We take our family (minus dad and uncle dan) on a trip to Eopolis, using [Treestride] to transport everyone to...

We [Treestride] everyone in quick succession, arriving at the keep's northern garden.

The garedn is quite ample, with carefully kept shruberry splitting it into sections, as well as rather tall iron fences on the edges of the cliff.

Well, we're moving small children around, so it's better safe than sorry.

There are plenty of trees that are not present in Albion, and while Ellie seems interested, the children as much more interested in the huge white fortress.

Its their first time here, so its a natural reaction, after all. The visible end of the keep is almost literally the tip of the iceberg, since we know that as high up as it extends, most of it is underground.

The 'plateau' in the middle of the river is really a colossal tower around which dirt and rocks have hardened over millions of years. What we can see of the keep is barely the topmost levels of it.

"Aaaah" - Frederick is in awe as he looks up at the upper levels of the keep.

The towers pierce through the clouds, looking as if gigantic fingers were rubbing against white sand.

We've already brought Athena and Portia before, so they're more interested in going into the building and explore.

Mom picks up Drederick, while Zoe picks up Elysia and Ellie lifts Alring into their arms.

*nod nod* As expected from Zoe, she's being the responsible one, helping our moms take care of the youngest.

By the way, Lyann is holding hands with Portia and Athena.

"In, in!" - as expected, Alrond is ready to run in to play

Taking our family into the keep, we give our siblings a tour of the place (at least the areas that are not currently busy. The keep still acts as city hall after all), starting at ground level and working our way up to the inner gardens.

As usual, the hallways are full of civil workers busily carrying documents up and down, as well as normal people coming for a permit or a license, as well as the ocassional guard standing at an important door or giving directions to the visitors.

While going upstairs, our siblings look quite impressed whenever they look out theough a window, and see the massive city spreading almost in every direction.

Elysia pulls on Zoe's long twin tails as she tries to get her to stay by the window side so she can look some more.

"There's more windows up ahead." - says Zoe, with immense patience

She's not just a good little sister. She's also an excellent older sister, isn't she? Yup, she'll be a great mom someday.

Hn, we can easily imagine Zoe with a baby in her arms, looking lovely.

*nods nods*

"We should take a break on the next floor. There's still quite a bit to go before we reach the upper gardens." - Lyann suggests after looking at how Zoe is enduring with a smile

Well, that's fine. We reach a open floor and let our siblings spread around.

Just to remind you, the keep is quite large, so even if it is "just a floor", it is still a large space.

This floor is mostly meant as a weapons floor, meaning, the windows are larger than usual because ballistas are meant to be poised before each of them, aiming out.

This also means that theres more than enough space for ammunitions, and rails on the floor to move the ballistas into place, or replace them if they become damaged.

Uh... I wonder if we could replace these with lightning ballistas? It could be a problem if we want to have them built in a small enough size to fit in the floor. They are meant to go on top of each of the main towers, and have a 270° arc of fire like that.

>Sure, let's try and make smaller lightning ballistae
>Wait, werent Asmund and Sykia working on magical weaponry? Maybe we could make those

Alright, once we reach the topmost floors and the children wear themselves out enough for nap time, we'll go talk with Asmund before going to look for a spot for the generators.

Assuming he's in the building, of course.

Of course, our little brothers enjoy playing with the large(ish) weapons, pretending to shoot at nonexistent dragons and monsters.

Well, our little sisters aren't that interested, except for Portia, who is examining the weapons very seriously while our moms rest for a bit on some nearby seats.

"Do you want some refreshments?" - Lyann offers us some fruit juice while Zoe and Portia do the same for everyone else.

"Ah, thanks." - we sit together on a bench, and Lyann takes out a sandwich from her [Inventory] for us.

Its wrapped with a white clith handkerchief, carefully folded around it.

Eh, did she prepare this just for us?

>"If you just watch me eat, I'll feel weird about it." (offer her half)
>"And for seasoning, some Lyann." (kiss her softly)

Linda and Ellie smile as they watch Eldric and Lyann together, with the girl blushing after a little kiss.

"Aren't they cute together?" - says Linda while wiping clean Alrond's face after the child spilled some juice
"I wish they could just be kids." - Ellie sighs

***

Somehow, having our moms look at us being cute to Lyann makes us feel rather embarrassed as well...

Either way, once the rest is over, our group makes its way upwards to the inner garden and the family quarters around it.

The lab is two floors over those, by the way.

Now that they can run around in the inner garden and look down to the city around, our young siblings seem more interested in having more sandwiches and then playing some more, though.

Alright, then according to the plan, lets go look for a good site for the generators now

We explain mom and Ellie that we're off to do work stuff, and will come back for them afterwards, so we should be able to have dinner together.

Mom gives us a smooch and sends us off, while Ellie hands something to Lyann.

"Can we go too?" > Portia and Zoe walk over, wanting to help
"Its about the wind generators. We're just going to look for a good spot to build them, so more people won't really help..."
"It won't be a hundrance either, I suposse." - suggests Lyann
