Hello all! Welcome back to Anime Delinquent Quest!

When we last left off, Nakai Youma met up with Takashi Kazuma, son of Kei Kazuma the Yakuza Boss who owes you favors. Takashi introduced you to his dog, Russ, and then got rid of some poisonous mist.

The act tired him out, so you brought him home with you. There, you finally succumbed to your excretions, but not without a fight. You ended up staying in bed for a while and told Takashi he could come by whenever he and his sister wanted.

Unfortunately, Chie, your rival, had showed up to make sure you got to class once you were better, but you were able to insult her and get her to leave your room. Then your mother came back, and she told you the name of your father.

Once you started feeling better, you went back to school while Chie followed along. After a brief meeting with Shiro, another member of the Disciplinary Committee, you went to PE Class, which unfortunately Chie had to.

When you made it there your teacher, Kakuzo Ukiyo, busted your balls and planned to have you fight the entire class in a game of dodgeball. You were able to convince him to fight you one-on-one instead.

You didn't win the fight, but were able to survive for long enough that Kakuzo let you off the hook. After doing some endurance training (where you found out your body is now...harder for some reason), your best friend, Hisato showed up and asked you to hide him from his sister. You did, and then he pulled out some kind of fist contraption that he said was for study.

Now, back to the show!

You are currently in class.

....Well, sort of.

You are in a classroom, but class hasn't started yet.

So really, you're just in an empty classroom with your bro, Hisato while he gets that...gauntlet thing ready.

He's currently sitting in the desk across from you, drone flying around his head and handing him all sorts of mechanical tools. Screwdrivers, sandpaper, a wrench, a....hack saw? All of this is being used on that strange creation of his, which he has his focus glued to.

>"Dude, what are you doing?"

>"You sure we should be doing this in class?"

Hisato's tongue comes out the side of his mouth, "Just a few last minute tweaks. I want to make sure that this thing has been calibrated to account for you amount of strength and more."

>"So, I'm supposed to test this thing?"

"Yes," he says dodging a spark that nearly burns his cheek, "The first step to finding out about your new abilities is to see how far they can go first. Think of this thing as a weight measurement unit for your fist. The amount of force you put behind it will tell us exactly how much force you can exert now."

>"What was that shit with your sister anyway?"

Hisato waves in the air dismissively, "Oh, that. Well you may have met my family, but you don't really know them. My parents are....very traditionalist. To them instead of working on machines that could change the world in the right way, I should be trying to find a girl and start planning to make her my wife. Seriously, it's everyday with that shit."

Hisato stops and puts a hand on his head. He changes his voice to a more high pitched tone, "Oh Hisato-kun! Why haven't you found a girlfriend yet!"

Next he puts a hand on his hip and shakes his finger at you, "If you don't get a girl now boy, you'll end up lonely and social awkward for the rest of your life!"

He holds that pose until you both start laughing like crazy. Hisato calms down and speaks, "But anyway, they knew I would never listen to them. So they turned my sister into something of a 'Hound dog'," he puts his hands in quotations.

Hisato puts a hand on his chin, searching for words. He takes it off and says, "Well, 'turned' is a strong word. More like, raised into a hound dog. They pretty much drilled the idea of getting married, having children, and living the rest of your life as a family man as the *only* way to live in her eyes. Now, she's constantly on my case. Anytime I'm busy making something new, she shows up to drag me out of my room and into the arms of a blind date."

"Why don't you fight back?" that's what you would do.

"I tried and got...punished for it," he doesn't say any more, but the wince in his face, hand going towards his lap tells you all you need to know.

After an awkward silence, Hisato turns back to the fist. He slams down the part of it that he had open and stands up, "Anyway, it's ready!" He turns the part where you guess your fist goes towards you, "Whenever you're ready."

>"Alright, let's do this." Put on the gauntlet

Your hand goes into the metal hole in the fist. Instantly, you feel straps attaching themselves to your arm. They close around you, and the fist starts to light up. Steam escapes from a vent somewhere and all of the lights along the side turn green.

A counter appears on the side, with the letters "psi" on the end of it. Hisato is staring at you, hands together in excitement.

Once you're sure the thing won't fall off, you life it up off the table. It's pretty heavy, not enough that you can't lift it, but you can feel some strain.

Hisato takes out his phone and sets it to the notepad, "Ok. Now, just try something. Anything. Just a quick punch so I can get some starting data."

You look at your friend, and shrug. Then you get into a stance ready to punch this thing.

You're not 100% sure how much this thing can take, so you might as well just start small.

You do one fast jab towards the chalk board, figuring that if you're gonna break anything that would be the best thing to break.

Once you do, you hear the counter on the side of your gauntlet rising. it hits a certain number and Hisato ask for you to hold your stance.

You do and he comes over to check the counter. His eyes fly open and he furiously takes notes on his phone, "400PSI?! That's almost enough to break steel! How hard did you punch?"

"I was actually holding back," you admit, "I just did a small weak punch."

Hisato's mouth turns to into a large grin and he says, "Amazing! Do it again! Harder this time!"

Alright, time to kick it up a notch.

This time, you take a few moments to plan your punches. You do two standard strikes, then go for a left and right hook to really seal the deal.

Hisato checks the readout again, and he seems to get even more excited, "Over 600 PSI!?!? You can break through chrome this way! How are you doing that?!"

You shrug in answer. You're getting ready to go for broke, when a noise reaches your ears, "Get moving everyone. History waits for no man."

That sounds like a teacher. And he's coming towards this class with a bunch of other students.

You look to see if your friend notices, but he's too absorbed in his notepad.

46. Bad Fail.

DC 70

"Hey man," you say drawing the mechanic out of his trance, "A teacher's coming. Looks like he's bringing the class with him."

Hisato looks behind him and hears the same voices you did. He looks back at you, same expression, "Yeah. And?"

"Nothing. Just wanted to let you know." Then you set your feet and get ready for one final punch. You bring your right arm close to your stomach, placing the other in front of you. You're going to end this with style, an uppercut with all of your might.

Unfortunately, you over shoot things.

You perform the uppercut, but the minute you hit the apex of your punch, something goes wrong. The straps inside the gauntlet must've been weakened or something from your previous test. Whatever the reason, your gauntlet goes flying off of your hand and straight towards the chalkboard.

Just when the teacher opens the door, the fist smashes through the board, embedding itself in the wall.

The rest of the class stand there staring at the board, along with the teacher. Then they all migrate towards you and Hisato, standing there with surprise on your face.

>Shrug and take your seat.

You put your hands in your pockets and take your seat. Your entire demeanor pretty much scream, "Out of fucks to give."

The rest of the student body all gasp at how cool you are considering the situation. They all keep their expressions when Hisato walks over to the wall and with a few pulls takes the fist out of the chalkboard. He looks over to you and says, "I'll study the data and get you a conclusion by tomorrow. Peace, bro."

You beat on your chest in acknowledgement. Hisato starts to walk out of the class, until he runs into the teacher for today, Sanjiro Okamura. Okamura stares down at the shorter lad, but Hisato stands his ground.

After a few seconds, Okamura says, "Care explain the whole in my wall?"

"Not really," Hisato answers, pushing past the teacher, "I'm not in this class." With that the kid walks out the door, sneers and stares alike following him.

Okamura stares after him, before turning his gaze onto you, "How about you, Youma-san? Do you know why my board has a hole in it?"

You get quite a few laughs out of the assembled students, before the teacher glares at them. They all shut up and he looks back over to you. He crosses his arms over his chest and stands there watching you.

You roll your eyes, "Look I just got here so I don't know for sure. But I heard a really loud wind sound. Maybe it was the air conditioning?"

Okamura stares at you for some more time, before sighing and walking back over to the chalk board. He stands there and says, "Alright everyone, sit down, shut up, and listen. I'll deal with Youma after class."

All the students groan, but comply and come to sit down in their seats. As they do you get about three different letters written to you on torn lose leaf paper.

You look through them aren't really that surprised. One's a challenge, telling you to come up to the roof top and fight them for whatever reason.

Another's a time and a place with not much else. You'd guess it's probably either a gang meet up or an ambush.

The last one isn't all that important. Just a threat from someone saying that you're days are numbered, blah, blah, blah. You put them all in your pockets, figuring you could use some after school entertainment later.

You're about to start listening to the lesson, when you hear someone whisper at you from your right side. You look over and groan slightly, as Fumo Sen comes into vision.

"We're not done, Youma!" he says quietly but his voice makes it seem like he's screaming, "You will pay for ignoring me yesterday!"

You vaguely remember Hisato mentioning his name, which is one of the major reasons why you know who he is. That and his stupid decision to fight Chie by himself, or at all really.

At your nochanlant disregard for him, Sen grips the edge of his table so much that his hands dig into the wood, "It is I you worthless peon! Fumo Sen! The greatest fighter Maeda has ever known, and once I defeat you the whole school will agree with me!" He's rather sure in that, judging by the conviction he has in his voice.

The whole thing is hilarious.

This guy, he thinks he can take you on?

He thinks that he can fight you toe to toe?

He wouldn't last ten seconds against you?!

The whole thing just makes you burst into laughter, much to the chagrin of the teacher and Sen. You keep it up until a tear runs down your face.

When you finally calm down, Okamura goes back to the lesson, while Sen's face is contorted into an angry sneer, "You dare laugh at me! That's it! Today. After school. At the gate. We will settle this!"

>Go to the roof for that "challenge". Might be interesting.

It doesn't take you long to get to the roof. You've been there plenty of times after all. For smoking, extorting, just watching the sky as it rolls by the school. It's a good place to go to think.

You open the door to the roof, and walk out onto it. However, you don't see anyone. It's completely empty.

You walk around the entire area, trying to find any hint of someone else inhabiting it. Nope nothing.

Either that challenge was complete BS, they chickened out, or they're not here yet.

Deciding to err on the side of the latter, you lean up against the fence looking up at the sky.

As you do, your mind wanders to the conversation you had with your mother today. Specifically, the part about your father.

Yukinori Youma.

You finally have a name to put to him.

The whole situation makes you feel...

>Glad. You don't have many memories of your dad, and this makes you feel like you've made progress to knowing more about him.

>Indifferent. He may be your dad, but you can't really remember him. He may not be a very good guy, but he's still your dad.

Your face turns into a frown as you stare into space. You can understand people having to go away for something important, but the last memory of your dad was back when you were a baby. After that, nothing.

You can't remember what he looks like as of right now. He's been gone for that long!

You're not expecting him to come home arms laden with gifts, training equipment, and a billion yen so your family can live the good life, but he'd better a pretty good reason for being gone for all of those years.

But that does raise the question; Why has he been gone for long?

Did something happen to—hold on.

Your sense pick up the sound of feet stepping onto the roof and you look towards the staircase entrance. You see a red blur come out of the door, flip up onto the top of the entrance, and stand there with her finger pointed at you.

"So, you have come, Nakai Youma!" she says, hands going to her sides. From there she produces two practice chakrams and spins them around her hands.

"I, Sumi Momotami, Vice President of the Discipline, shall punish you for your transgressions! Prepare yourself!"

With that she dashes straight at you read for a fight.

>TO BE CONTINUED...

That's it for today everyone! I hope you enjoyed it and will see you tomorrow at 2:30 PM for the battle!

I'll be on until 7:00 PM to answer questions and otherwise.

I hope you all have a great day!

Sometimes you really wish that you didn't have the reputations you did.

On the one hand, it's kind of cemented you as a badass, so a lot of the kids leave you alone. One of the many reasons why you haven't been the target of bullying at this Academy.

On the other hand though, you have to deal with people like the bitch who is currently charging at you with wooden weapons.

Because of her telegraphed attack, it isn't that hard to just side step her first strike. Thing is though, just when she hits the ground she bounces on the palms of her hands and spring in your direction.

Her foot connects with your chest, but it doesn't do much considering your size and muscle difference. She lands back down on the ground, waiting for your next move.

>Alright, if she wants a fight you'll give her one! Attack her now!

>Maybe you could talk her down?

>"I know you want to fight, but can we just not?"

You're not sure what it is about what you say.

Maybe it was the way you said it. Maybe it was the inflection in your voice. Or heck, maybe she just hears things differently from most people and you didn't know that.

But, for whatever reason, when you ask her to not fight you it pisses her off to no end. Her teeth grit, her face starts to scowl, and her hands tighten down on her weapons, "You miscreant! You're honeyed words may have been able to fool our beloved leader, but they will not fool me! Have at you!"

With that she jumps over to one of the fences and bounces off the wires that make it up. How she does this you have no idea, but it works.

She launches herself at you, one of her wooden weapons held back for an attack.

Oh no, you're not falling for that again.

You wait until she's just about to hit you, then sidestep to the left, lifting your left arm up into her path. She tries to correct her flight, but it's too late.

You clothesline her right in her stomach, sending her flying back towards the gate. She grunts in pain, but manages to flip herself around. She hits the gate, falls to the ground, and starts to flip her way towards you.

Literally, she's doing nothing but flipping on her hands and feet to close the distance.

You wait until she's a within reach of your legs. Then, just as her hands touch down on the roof again, you sweep them out from under her with a swift kick.

She yelps as her balance is lost, giving you the perfect opportunity to punch her straight in the gut. You drive the wind out of her, and launch her back towards the entrance of to the roof.

She falls to the ground, coughing at your assault. She starts to stand on shaky legs, using her weapons as supports. Her eyes look at you with determined rage, "I will not fall. Not to you!"

With a scream she jumps into the sky, seeming to forgo any type of strategy in favor of just finishing you off.

At the apex of her jump, she angles downward with her weapons out front. She corkscrews on the way down. She's using her body as a projectile, probably hoping to take you out in one shot!

This was a pretty good fight, sort of one sided though. But, it's time for you to end this.

You don't even move, or take up a stance. All you do is stand there and hold up your right hand. Your open palm is all you need.

Sumi's attack gets closer and closer. The amount of speed she picks up is sure to be enough to cause a big impact of some sort. Maybe even enough to stop you here and now.

The attack connects with your hand....and stops.

There you stand, face impassive with both of Sumi's weapons in your palm. Sumi is awestruck, staring at where her weapons are while suspended in the air.

Once her feet hit the ground, she falls to her knees at your feet. Her eyes search the floor, as if a fog has suddenly obscured her vision.

She stays there for a minute before she looks up at you, "You...you so soundly beat me. And I can tell that you weren't even truly trying."

Her head drops and she starts to laugh, but you see wet spots appear on the floor to the roof, "No wonder Sakurada-senpai sees you as an equal. I know I can never keep up with her, but I thought that...just maybe if I...."

Oh great, she's starting to babble. One of your hands goes to your neck.

You hear the bell from the school and realize class is about to start. Looks like if you want to give her some parting words, you'll have to do it now.

>"Just keep training. You'll get it sooner or later."

That seems to work....or at least it gets her to stop bawling. Though now she's just sitting there staring at the floor.

You would stick around, but you've got a class to get to. You walk on past and head back into the school building.

It doesn't take you long to get to this class. Once you enter the room, though, your spine starts to tingle. A quick survey reveals Chie talking to Shiro about something or other. They got here before you.

You decide that you've had enough of that bitch for today, and find a seat as far away from her as possible.

It doesn't take long for the rest of the seats to fill out. However, the teacher doesn't show up. All the kids start to talk, wondering if we've got a day off.

Until the door to the class room burst open. A blue and red blur flies through the door, flips through the air, and lands feet first on the table.

The man salutes the class and speaks in an extremely upbeat voice, "It is I Heikichi Nishi!"

The two teachers jump again, until they are standing back to back. They point towards the entire class. They speak in unison, "Today you shall learn more about the world, and how you fit into it all. This we swear!"

The rest of the student body are too stunned to say anything. Nishi points towards you, "You! Nakai Youma! Please step to the front of the class!"

You can't help but facepalm when you here the name. As if to insult your reaction, Chie walks up next to you with no complaints whatsoever.

The two teachers stand in front of the two of. They both hold out a hand. Fukumoto has a pebble in his hand while Nishi has nothing. You think you can tell where this is going.

Nishi speaks first, "Your task for today students is to take this pebble from our hands!"

"Correct," Fukumoto says tossing the pebble in the air. It lands in Nishi's hand, "We shall be working together in order to keep you from getting the pebble. If you win, you get a passing grade. If not, you must spend the rest of class writing a two page report on why teamwork is one of the most important things in the world!"

Before either you or Chie have a chance to say something, both teacher's jump into the air. Nishi lands on your side to the left, while Fukumoto lands near Chie.

You lay out the plan and Chie nods. You both stand up, side by side as you stare down Nishi. He smiles, flips the pebble in the air and holds it out in front of him, "Come on! Show me what you've got!"

You and Chie look at each other, nod, then dash towards the teacher. You both barrel down on him, but he never loses that smile on his face.

When you're both close enough, he does exactly as you expected. He throws the pebble over to Fukumoto who's preparing to jump after it.

You are not gonna let this old man stop you!

Master Fukumoto lashes out with his foot, probably planning to use your momentum and trip you up. Instead though, you jump at the last second, grab him by his shoulder, and push. Your force is enough to push him down onto the floor, and you stand over him so he can't get up.

The Master laughs and looks up at you, "Nice job, son! But what about your partner?!"

Your eyes open wide and you look above. You see Chie, hands failing as she tries to grab at the rock. Just when she thinks she has it, it flies out of her reach.

Your mind races, trying to think of what to do. Then your eyes pass over the teacher's desk and you come up with a plan.

Gritting your teeth, you look up and shout, "Chie!" The girl looks over to you as you run up to the desk, "Try and push the thing over to me!"

It takes her a second, but Chie realizes what your plan is. She makes one final swipe at the rock, giving it enough push to send it floating above the teacher's desk.

You push off of the desk with one foot, right hand extended to catch the rock. You see both of your teachers by your sides, attempting to stop you from obtaining your goal.

All four of you land on floor feet first. The teachers and Chie stand first.

Everyone's eyes are on you.

You come up to your full height, and raise the pebble up in triumph.

The whole class erupts into applause you even hear Hisato whistling for you.

Chie stands next to you as both of the teachers take their place at the front of the class. They both look at you and give you a thumbs up.

"I'd say they did an outstanding job, what about you partner?" Fukumoto says with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes! Though they had trouble at first, they were able to pull off a spectacular victory!" is Nishi's reply. He continues by saying, "Remember this both of you, teamwork is one of the foundations of our society. There is only so much we can accomplish alone. Never forget this lesson!"

Both teacher's hold out their fist in front of you.

>Fist bump them...and Chie.

>Fist bump them...not Chie.

>Just walk back to your seat.

>Fist bump them...and Chie.

You give each of the teachers a friendly fist bump with a smile on your face. You're about to go back to your seat, when a thought cross your mind. It makes you grin so much you can't help but do it.

"Hey, Chie," you turn around to look at her as she gets her fist bumps from the teachers. She looks over at you with one eyebrow raised. You hold up your fist in the same way the teachers did, "Good job back there."

Her eyes widen in surprise. The entire class gasp at your actions. Even Hisato shouts out, "What?!" when he sees you.

You're forced to stand there for a good minute before Chie finally, but hesitantly, returns the sentiment. Much like your fist, her is calloused and rough from time spent punching and training for years.

After that, you head back to your seat, the image of Chie's confused face making you grin all the way back there. Class continue's like that, the teachers calling people up to attempt the same trial. However they switch it up so that the other students can't just copy you and Chie.

You lay back in your seat, eyes closing...until you spot something out of the corner of your eye. You don't sit right next to the window, but your close enough that you can see out of it.

When you focus on it, you see....Fumo Sen!?

The student is out there, some sort of training weapon in his hand. It looks like a halberd, but it's hard to tell. There seems to be some kind of strange substance covering it.

Fumo is on guard, facing one corner of the school with a lot of intent.

You follow his gaze and are treated to the sight of even more weird shit.

There, standing on top of a literal field of snow and frost, stands a girl whose hands have been replaced with ice claws. Blood drips from them, painting the white ground red with blood.

She seems to chuckle, raising her hands and firing a barrage of ice at Sen.

Oh shit.

>TO BE CONTINUED
