>>Information

This quest, as the title suggests, takes place in the world of Dragon Ball. You're playing as a thirty year old man named Tofoo, and will adventure through the story of the Dragonball series alongside characters such as Goku, Yamcha, Bulma, Tien, and many others. Through your actions, you can make significant changes to the story, and perhaps even become the strongest fighter on Earth.

>Rules

At the end of each update you'll have ten minutes to vote on options. Write-ins are allowed, but I do reserve the right to veto them.

In the event of a draw, the option to receive the next vote wins

Rolls will be used on certain occasions, such as attempting a technique for the first time or attempting something extremely difficult. You will have three rolls, and if one succeeds, you succeed. There are no crits.

Rolls are made AFTER an option wins, not during the voting process

I hope everyone has fun.

"So, that bug monster was still alive?" Lapis asks, sounding mildly surprised and disappointed. "Looks like Piccolo's gotten sloppy."

"It doesn't matter," Lazuli assures him. "It's dead now."

You're back on the Lookout, with Bulma, Trunks, Lapis, Lazuli, Tenshinhan, Yamcha, and Chaozu. Chi-Chi hasn't come back, and Krillin and the others are still with Goku.

"I'm just glad you're alright," Yamcha tells Lazuli as he walks over to her.

The blonde woman blows some hair out of her face, looking toward Yamcha with mild irritation. "Don't make such a big deal out of it, it was just a fight."

"Still, I'm glad you weren't hurt," he tells her, and this time she responds with a barely perceivable smile.

Lapis rolls his eyes and looks toward you. "You're sure this thing's dead this time, right?"

Trunks looks toward you with curiosity.

"Piccolo's never sloppy," you tell Lapis. "This thing is just durable. Still, unless it can survive being carved up and blasted while it's down, it should be dead."

"At this point, maybe we shouldn't assume that," Tenshinhan tells you.

"I agree," Trunks chimes in. "Gero and his Androids are gone, so let's not let something else pop up to destroy the planet."

They have a point, and so, you approach the edge of the Lookout, close your eyes, and focus yourself, searching for anything awry on the world below.

Gingertown and Nickytown stand out like hideous wounds on an otherwise beautiful planet. Not just the death, but the horrific manner in which it was dealt to all the people who met such gruesome ends. Amenbo Island, despite the earlier carnage, still boasts some life within it. You don't sense anything like the what you felt the last time that creature struck.

"Anything?" Bulma asks you.

"Well, what should we do in the meantime?" Tenshinhan asks. "Goku and Piccolo are both down, and we have no idea if this thing's going to turn up again."

"In that case, we might want to avoid leaving the Lookout for now," Trunks recommends.

"Well, that's fine for us, but what about Chi-Chi?" Bulma asks. "She went home, right?"

Once the world gets the Tofoo treatment, shitters like Freezer's empire will be the ones being invaded by overpowered earthlings who pre-emptively strikes against anything that looks at them funny. Even beerus will learn to fear what will be a planet of gods of destruction

"Alright," you say to him, deciding to just let it go for now. If it's important, you expect your son to talk to you about it later.

The two of you descend on the woods that Krillin and Chi-Chi call home, making your way to their dwelling, which stands as one of the only structures for miles. The two of them usually enjoy peace and privacy out here, but in this case, that may prove to be a bad thing.

The two of you land outside of the house to find the front door slightly ajar, and nobody there to greet you on your arrival. Sticking your head inside, you call out for the woman, but receive no answer.

"This isn't good," Trunks mutters.

>>
>>1731889
In all seriousness, what if we took this as a sign as a way to spread the use of ki manipulation out into the world. We are god now, it would be a good idea to have people learn of ki based martial arts, a set of skills that would require practitioners to work really hard and discipline themselves in order to even somewhat use. That would probably help to better promote as certain level of morals that isn't as evident in modern day Dragon ball, at least according to what most of the older folk had to say about it back in the original dragon ball series. Like how a whole village immediately recognized what a flying nimbus was because they were just so common back in the day. It seems like martial arts and old school arts/magic go hand in hand with the morality of the world. Hell, that could just be why Zeno is willingly erasing the universes with the weakest power levels.

You close your eyes, searching for any sign of Chi-Chi's energy signature.

Nothing.

However, you do begin to detect some vibrations in the air behind you, and spin around to see a figure emerging from the forest. Trunks sees it a moment later and drops into a fighting stance, while you do the same, readying yourself as it steps out of the shadows.

What you are faced with is not a monster, but a battered and bloodied Chi-Chi, who looks to be on the verge of tears, but at the same time more relieved than you've seen her in quite a while.

"We need to get out of here," she warns. "We need to get out of here right now!"

The female fighter has scorch marks all over her clothing and skin, presumably the result of being hit by energy attacks. In addition, she seems to have suffered a nasty blow to her left arm, which is bleeding noticeably.

Still, she doesn't seem to be at any risk of dropping dead from such injuries. However, she looks quite frightened. And, given the beating she's clearly endured, that's understandable.

"What happened to you?" Trunks voices the obvious question.

"What's it look like?!" Chi-Chi snaps. "I was attacked!"

"I can see that," your son replies, sounding irritated. "But by what?"

"I'm not sure," Chi-Chi admits, looking down. "I never got a good look. I was on my way back here, when a blast shot up from the forest. I didn't sense anybody down there, so it caught me by surprise. It hit me full-power, and before I could recover, something hit me from above and knocked me down through the trees. I tried to find them, but they stayed hidden and attacked from the shadows. Eventually, I just used a Solar Flare and ran back here. I made it to the door when I sensed someone coming. I hid in the forest, but it was just you two."

"The three of us need to get back to the Lookout," you tell the other two.

"We need to be careful," Chi-Chi insists as the two of you begin to step away from the house. "Whatever's after me is probably still around here somewhere."

Trunks lingers behind the two of you for a moment, only to suddenly rush at your backs and roughly shove the two of you to the ground.

"Look out!" he shouts, taking a step back.

Looking up over your shoulder, you see a blue flash of light pass through the space between you and your son. An instant later, one of the trees begins to fall. But, it doesn't do so in the ordinary way. Rather, it falls in twain as if someone sliced it from top to bottom.

Trunks continues to scan the nearby forest as you and Chi-Chi begin to pick yourselves off the ground. The wounded warrior takes a fighting stance at once, ready to fight for her life despite her injured status.

"Duck!" Trunks tells you as you begin to rise, and you lower your head as he unleashes an energy blast, hearing the sound of it detonating behind you a moment later, accompanied by the feeling of hot, blowing air.

You turn to see a cloud of smoke, within which you can barely make out a large, humanoid figure that draws closer before vanishing from view.

When you look back to your son, he had a deep frown on his face, and an intense look in his eyes.

"Everyone, back to back!" you call to the others, who quickly follow your instructions and assume the formation.

Your eyes scan the forest, seeing no sign of your attacker, so you decide to take a different approach. Feeling for vibrations in the air, you detect movement in the sky above, and look up just in time to see two figures hanging above you, one large and one small.

There's no time to get any more detail than that, as a rain of blue energy blasts falls upon you and the others. You shout in warning, and the three of you gather energy, sending a barrage of energy attacks skyward in order to intercept the oncoming blasts.

The sky lights up with dozens of explosions, and smoke hangs in the air as the blasts collide and detonate, the sounds of the blasts booming for miles, and strong gusts shooting out every which way.

Another attack doesn't come right away, but you can feel something rippling through the air above the smoke clouds.

"Scatter!" you shout in warning before dashing to the nearby forest, taking cover behind the trees and bracing yourself.

Chi-Chi and Trunks behave in a similar manner, and seconds later, a massive ball of energy penetrates the smoke clouds above, crashing to the ground below and detonating with a blast and shockwave that obliterates Chi-Chi's home, along with much of the surrounding forest.

You're forced to move as the trees begin collapsing, the wind whipping through your hair and clothes as the detonating energy ball continues to send out shockwaves. The light of the blast forces you to shield your eyes, and the the dust and debris kicked up by the explosion eliminates any chance you have of spotting the others, or your attackers.

But that doesn't matter, you have other senses. And one of those tells you that someone's moved behind you.

Spinning, you find yourself facing a large, gray-skinned man with long, black hair tied into a ponytail. He's adorned in a brown brassard and belt combination, with the Red Ribbon insignia on the buckle. A green skirt, a pair of gloves, and boots complete his outfit, and he fixes an intense gaze upon you.

You swear you can see light dancing in his eyes as he raises his right hand, holding it out toward you with all five fingers together. His fingertips glow, and a blue flash of light shoots out.

You swerve to the side, avoiding the attack, and notice another figure coming from your left. He's rather small, purple-skinned,with a massive green hat that only serves as part of an outlandish outfit that includes an oversized tie with the Red Ribbon insignia on it. He smiles as he brings back his fist, and you think you can see something flashing across the sunglasses he's wearing.

You block his punch, but the big guy rushes in. You manage to block this attack as well, but are quickly pushed back. The two hold their hands out toward you and fire a barrage of energy attacks your way.

You hold your ground and answer with an attack of your own. And, in that moment, you feel something odd. Some sort of pressure seems to be coming from your body for just a moment, and as you prepare your Bear Shout technique, you feel in complete control of your power, and certain that this attack is going to pack a punch.

"What's this?" the larger Android asks in confusion, his eyes flashing.

"I dunno," the smaller Android answers, flashes dancing across his glasses. "I'm not gettin' an energy reading. Is he tryin' to kill himself?"

Your mouth opens, and a colossal wave of energy shoots free from your gullet, racing toward the barrage of blasts and pushing through them like they're nothing.

"WHAT?!" the smaller Android asks, holding his hands in front of his body.

A green sort of dome appears around him, while the other Android braces himself. A moment later, both are struck by your overpowering blast.

Seconds later, you're flying over an endless sea of flattened trees, struggling to catch your breath as you look down at the two damaged machines.

Each of them have scorched and torn clothes, and the little one's hat seems to have been blown away altogether. Being machines, it's hard for you to tell just how effective your attack was, but it appears that they're having some trouble getting back up.

For your part, you're exhausted. That pressure you felt before is gone, and you feel spent, as if you vented all of your energy into that one attack, and your body doesn't have any more to offer.

You slowly descend to the ground, taking a knee and fighting the urge to collapse altogether. You raise your head and see the Androids getting back to their feet, the little guy dusting himself off as the big guy looks toward you with a glare.

"His power's depleted," the big guy announces to his cohort.

"After a blast like that, I'm not surprised," the little one remarks, reaching up to his head as if to adjust his hat, only to scowl when he finds it isn't there. "Damn....now I'm mad."

He puts his hands in the pockets of his jacket and begins to stroll over to you, the big guy silently lumbering beside him.

"I'm not sure what you just did, Tofoo, but it wasn't enough," the little guy tells you. "Too bad, but now you're gonna die, my man."

The two frown, then look to the sky, leaping into the air just in time to avoid a Kienzan that would have sliced them both up.

Chi-Chi and Trunks land in front of you, taking fighting stances and looking up at the two machines, who stare right back down at them, the little one smirking, and the big one frowning.

"More Androids?" Trunks growls in disbelief. "How many of you things need to be destroyed before this nightmare ends?!"

"Gero did say he'd get his revenge," you tell your son as you struggle back to your feet. "Even if he didn't live to see it."

"Damn him..." Trunks whispers as the two Androids begin their descent.

The battle is about to start back up, but you have just enough time to examine yourself.

You seem pretty much normal. You aren't badly wounded, the pressure's gone, there's nothing off about your appearance as far as you can tell. Really, the only difference you notice is that most of your energy is gone.

There should still be enough left in your for a Kuma-Ken, but you know you won't be able to keep it going for long. Still, tired as you are, you won't last against these foes without the power up.

You shout the word, and the familiar green aura surrounds your body.

>>
>>1734818

>>
>>1734838

Now that I think about it, can't he simply teleport to the land of the dead now that Tofoo is the new Kami? I think Kami went live and in the flesh to the land of the dead to take Goku back to the living during the saiyan saga in canon dragon ball
>>
>>1734852
Yep, you can technically do that
>>
>>1734852
Actually yeah I think we can do that now.
The teleportation technique Kami used (called "Kai Kai") should be something we can learn.
Actually I think any teleportation technique can go between the land of the living and dead in DBZ.
Goku did that shit on several occasions.
>>
>>1734861
>>1734866

Well, time to abuse his newfound powers once the Android saga is over. It would a good time to fucking finally meet his parents, he has been delaying that shit since forever.

Or maybe learn it earlier to deal with the androids, maybe we could ask Popo if he has any useful Kami-only skills that could serve well during the current crisis the world faces
>>
>>1734861
>>1734866
So does that mean we could learn the IT a lot more easily, or is KK pretty much the same thing? Because while it wasn't implied, it did seem like Kami just popped out of nowhere a lot, and popo was shown to be able to teleport in the manga. It wouldn't hard to believe that kamis at planetary guardian level have the ability to teleport.
>>
>>1734899
KK is actually better at teleportation than IT as it doesn't actually require you to focus on an energy signature to teleport to.
KK can conceivably teleport anywhere in the universe and possibly outside of it.
>>
>>1734899
Kami's have a limited version of the Kai-Kai that can allow them to travel across their world, or to the check-in station of otherworld

So, if everybody agrees, let's make Tofoo ask Popo if Kamis gets more useful skills to deal with the androids, surely he could tell him that gods can in fact learn a teleportation of sorts, and because it doesn't need an energy signature, it would be a huge boon against those androids and their not leaving energy traces to follow

>>1734936

found it, last updated version of the list

>Training base/ki control/meditation
1)Get our body to react against attacks we can't sense or cut the reaction time further(part of base training)
2)healing/ki manipulation invented by Mutaito
>develop new/improving old techniques
1)golden shout
2)nail gun
3)improve ki blade
-length
-electricity
>-blunt ki fist
-add to our legs instead of our arms kick slashes
4)Instant transmission
5)improve afterimage
6)dodonpa
7)kikoho
8)shin bear claw(basically ki nails, pretty simple)
9) ki shield/sheath(what it sounds like)
-prism shield
-warp shield
-bear skin
-hungry bear skin
-planet burst geysers
-kami/spirit breathing
-absorption field
10)shapeshifting
11) Kuma-Genocide/Kuma-Collider (Hellzone grenade basically)
12) Lighting cloak
13) basically milky wave cannon
>learning instant transmission
as stated above, but with added importance
>kick ass finisher
1)Bear maul(Wolf Fang Fist + Ki Sword + Bear Shout combo)
2)Kodaik Crash/Kurma crusher(Dragon fist but with a bear, name still in development)
3)Golden Roar(bear roar+golden shout or super golden shout)
4)Kuma-kenx2?(probably shouldn't focus on this at all due to most likely being extremely difficult and too much time being needed to develop this despite high chance of failure or stagnation. Still deserves a mention though)
5) Perfect multiform
6)self taught spirit bomb
7)Final Dragon Flash(Improved version of Thunder flash, imbues mind of own:similar to http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Ghost_Kamikaze_Attack. Requires learning thunder flash attack from west kai)
>>
>>1734964

Why not replace the Ki sword for the shin bear claw?

I wasn't the one that thought it up, I was just the one that recorded all the suggestions. Plus, what if we combined shin bear claw and the ki blade in order to make energy bear claws? It'd be like how Zamasu can turn his blade into a sythe and shoot spikes with it, and it fight more with Tofoo's style way better than ki blade does. Tofoo fighting with bear hands would be legit.

My train of thought was that the shin bear claws were a more bear style oriented ki-blade. And if we manage to control the size of the claw it would be wicked.

Oh,I remember the Perfect Multiform. Some guy said that instead of dividing the energy between the forms we should make it flow, fluctuate, something like an electric circuit.
Speaking of electricity,an idea I had for our bear endurance training is overcharging our body with electric ki to recreate how it feels getting hit by the Thunder Shock Suprise. We train pain endurance AND electric ki at the same time. But we should get a lot of those healing herbs, just in case.
>>1735006
Now that we have God Ki and also know the Ki Blade we should develop the God Split Cut,that would trigger Zamasu a lot. And then upgrade it to the Divine Weapon Forging and make an Energy Flamberge, that would be pretty cool
>>
>>1735040
If we're learning moves that'll piss zamasu off then we should definitely learn nail gun since it's just like his spike shot move but with smaller shots and bigger amounts.
>>
>>1735049
Also, anyone remember what even half those ki shield variants were, because I don't for the life of me.
>>
>>1734964
>7)Final Dragon Flash(Improved version of Thunder flash, imbues mind of own:similar to http://dragonball.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Ghost_Kamikaze_Attack. Requires learning thunder flash attack from west kai)
I prefer the idea of the anon who first suggested that the Final Dragon Flash be the attack that Vegito used in DBM

>prism
deflect attacks
>warp
attacks pass right past our space
>bear skin
constant ki shield
>absorption
absorbs energy attacks, fires them back
>hungry bear skin
combination of absorption and bear skin
>planet burst geysers
not a shield technique. imbues the landscape with our ki. the instant a designated enemy touches the ground the ki all bursts upwards where he is.
>breathing techniques
not a shield technique. passive energy replenishing techniques to improve our ability to fight for long durations.

holy shit its nice to see so many of my techniques still being remembered.

still looking forward to Ghost Bears Suplexing Fools then Exploding.

we should also combine the Javelin throwing technique with Far sensing from the Lookout.

"I could ask you the same," you tell her. "What choice is there? I'll be fine."

Chi-Chi gives you a nod, accepting your answer and preparing herself for what's to come. She's injured, but still going. You're exhausted, but still going. Trunks is the only one in good shape at the moment. And you aren't sure that will make a difference, given the apparent power of these two Androids.

The short one stops, pulls out a flash, and gulps down what you can only assume to be some sort of alcoholic substance. He wipes his lips as he puts the flask away and takes a fighting stance of his own.

"Let's dance," he challenges you and the others.

The big man rushes forward, and Trunks moves to intercept him, a green aura surrounding your son as the two warriors clash.

The little man opens his fists, and a pair of blue orbs emerge from his palms. He thrusts his hands in the direction of yourself and Chi-Chi, throwing the attacks your way.

Chi-Chi, leans out of the way, letting the blast shoot past her, while you swat aside the one sent your way.

The little man keeps his hands where they are, and unleashes a seemingly endless barrage of energy blasts. You dig in and stand your ground, while Chi-Chi takes to the air to avoid the onslaught.

You bat away as many blasts as you can, before finally crossing your arms in front of your body and enduring the ensuing series of attacks, feeling the sting of the blasts scorching your skin.

You're slowly pushed back through the dirt, and the attacks show no signs of letting up.

Chi-Chi attacks the Android from its right. The little man leaps into the air, and Chi-Chi's kick strikes the ground rather than its intended target.

As the Android climbs into the air, Chi-Chi cups her hands together, gathering up her energy between her palms.

"HAA!!" she shouts, unleashing a Kamehameha Wave up at the machine.

The little man laughs, and a dome of energy appears between him and the attack, which slams harmlessly against it.

"What?!" Chi-Chi shouts in anger.

Laughing, the Android conjures up a ball of energy almost as big as himself, and hurls it down at Chi-Chi, who leaps back in retreat.

The Android lands and smirks at the wounded woman, then looks over to you.

"How you holdin' up there, pal?" he teases. "You look ready to faceplant."

You decide to show him just what you can do, even in this exhausted state.

Abandoning your defensive posture, you rush in to attack the Android, who seems surprised to see you rushing toward him. That doesn't last long, however, as he quickly rushes to meet you, moving in and hitting you in the jaw with an uppercut.

You aren't about to give up that easily, and answer with a knee-strike to his stomach. He responds by punching you in the left cheek, managing to push you back a bit, and following it up with an energy ball that strikes you in the gut and pushes you back fast. It detonates, and you're thrown to the ground.

The Android holds a hand toward you, but before it can strike, Chi-Chi rushes in and begins to attack him again. For her troubles, she's soon sent sprawling just like you were.

"Please, don't get up," the machine remarks, dusting himself a bit.

You climb back to your feet, adopting a defensive stance once again. Clearly, in your current state, a front assault won't do you much good. And Chi-Chi's in worse shape than you at the moment, so even together, you'd probably fail.

Still, if you stick to the old Bear Style, you might have a shot.

Your eyes shift to Trunks for a moment, and you see that he's having some serious trouble against the larger Android, though he's holding his own. You aren't sure who will win that battle, but you worry for your son.

Your focus is ripped away from Trunks as the little guy comes rushing at you. You block his first punch, and move back your head to avoid the kick that follows, knocking him away with a palm-strike once his attacks leave him open.

Of course, that does very little, and he's attacking once again just a moment later, and you're quickly forced into a backpedal as you find yourself struggling to fend off his blows. Finally, a punch breaks your defenses and catches you in the face, throwing your head back.

You bring up your arms to block the following attack, but the force of the blow still knocks you back. You look up to see the Android rising higher into the air.

A large ball of energy appears in front of him, and he sends it plummeting down at you. Before you have the chance to react, however, a figure in orange appears in front of you, surrounded by a golden aura.

He holds his hand up toward the approaching blast and unleashes one of his own, forcing the attack to detonate before it can reach you.

The larger Android elbows Trunks in the face, then turns his attention to the newcomer.

"Goku..." he observes.

"Boy, am I glad to see you," you tell your friend as you pull yourself back up. "Thanks for the save."

"No problem," Goku tells you, keeping his eyes skyward and searching for the Android.

You take the opportunity to check on Chi-Chi, and find that she's back on her feet, making her way over to the two of you.

"I've never been so happy to see you, Goku," she admits.

Your friend chuckles at that, though his serious demeanor largely remains.

"Where's Trunks?" he asks as the smoke above begins to clear.

"What do you mean?" you ask your friend.

Bulma lets go of you and Trunks, turning her attention to a television sitting not far away. She makes her way over to it, picks up the remote, and starts flipping through channels.

"Pepper City was attacked by something," she explains as you make your way to stand beside her. "Based on the news reports, I'm guessing it's the same "something" you've been fighting."

Images on the television show clothes strewn about the streets, wrecked cars, damaged buildings, fallen weapons, abandoned purses, and so on. All the calling cards of your least-favorite bug man.

"He's still out there," Goku says with a frown.

"Wait, how do you know about that?" Bulma asks, glancing toward him.

"Well, I could sort of sense everything that was happening while I was asleep," he explains. "Things aren't getting any easier, are they?"

The others look at him like he's brain-dead.

"Okay, how are we going to manage that fast enough?" Krillin inquires.

"No, but it does have to do with time," Goku replies. "Mr. Popo had Tofoo and me train for a few weeks in there when we were kids."

"Okay, but what's so special about it?" Krillin questions.

"Well, one day out here is the same as a year in there," Goku explains. "And besides that, it has enhanced gravity, which makes it a perfect place for training."

"That sounds too good to be true," Yamcha comments.

"How come we've never heard about this before?" Tenshinhan asks.

"Well, like I said, Tofoo and I couldn't last for more than a few weeks in there," Goku comments. "And there are certain rules about it that make it kind of a waste if you can't use it to its full potential. Popo only put us in there because he and Kami were desperate to give us any little edge they could against Piccolo."

"Well, I'd say this situation is at least that bad," Tenshinhan mutters.

Goku nods in agreement, then looks to you. "What do you think? You can go in with Trunks, and when you're done, I can go in with Kori."

so, teaching trunks the fusion dance is obvious, what else?

Constant Kuma Ken, God Ki training, techniques, or just beating the crap out of each other?
>>
>>1738848

Intense meditation sessions to improve ki control and maybe even further refine the kuma-ken to an enhanced state as a side effect, like the enhanced super saiyan states the monkeys developed in canon.

And probably they could use multiform technique to multitask many things at the same time and make more out of their time in the chamber
>>
>>1738848
All of those obviously, it is a whole year. Also, we should definitely try to see how far we could get with kuma/kaio-ken combo

For technique we've still got the list https://pastebin.com/kCqGKUjd

I'm personally all for either bear claws, nail gun, or thunderbolt
>>
>>1738848
>>1738969
Keeping ourselves in constant Kuma-ken the entire time we train for as long as we can is a given, it'll help our body better adjust and would help improve both the efficiency and possibly even the overall power of the state. God ki training could be through meditation, when we've fully used up everything we've had through training we rest up through meditation. This will allow us to try to tap into the mystery ki we felt before while our normal ki reserves are depleted while still giving our body rest. Beating the shit out of eachother while in high levels of gravity and keeping ourselves in kuma-ken state for as long as possible is the best way to train ourselves physically in all ways while meditation will help improve our mental state and ki manipulation for when we're resting our body. For techniques, let's try and see if we can learn/master 1 or 2 at different intervals of the year, giving ourselves a couple weeks for each technique we learn. Ideally we figure it out within a few days and practice it from there, but worst case we put in a little less than a month so we can use most of the time for training our roots and fundamentals. Biggest thing for me is taking time every once in a while throughout the year to try to see if we can make kuma/kai ken mix work, and for how long we can hold it.
>>
>>1739112
I have some slightly different thoughts on training.
Training the Kuma-Ken doesn't seem like it would help that much.
The only way we can really improve upon it is by training our Ki Control to keep it up longer.
Problem is, we're pretty much at the peak of Ki Control barring constant Ki leakage.
I'm sure once we tap into our God Ki our Ki Control is gonna reach new heights, but not before.
Now on the subject of learning new techniques.
I'll be honest, we only really need one new technique and it's a finisher.
We don't need a million new utility tools we're just gonna forget about.
In terms of techniques, we're already one of the more rounded fighters on Earth.
What we do need is something that can vaporize somebody as durable as Cell in an instant.
Closing out a fight as strong as possible is extremely important.

What I think we should focus on is two things;
>regaining our insane endurance and stamina
>working on a finishing move that definitively ends a fight
Again, God Ki and better Kuma-Ken seem a little out of our reach right now.
They are probably gonna become very important in the next decade,
but we're (hopefully) gonna have 7 years of peace time to figure all that out.
I'd rather focus on shoring up our deficiencies and raising our base powerlevel as much as possible.
That seems like the best way to get stronger in the short term, and we need power quick.
>>
>>1739143
In short,
We're the Grand Master of the Bear School.
Let's get back to our roots.
All that divine inter-universal tier stuff can wait till we're ready.
>>
>>1739143
I can mostly agree to that, but the reason I feel training in kuma-ken is useful is because it can allow us to push our body to greater limits than we normally could training in our base state. While the form itself doesn't strain our body all that much for the most part, using it in long term training, with the increased gravity the time chamber allows, can allow our body to push our endurance to it's absolute limits, both through our muscles and ki. In terms of ki manipulation, I believe training in that would mean increasing our base power, which would be through training stated previously, and and then, through meditation since it seems to be the best way to train our ki manipulation mentally with the added bonus of not straining our body, we can learn to better utilize that new strength more efficiently. In terms of techniques, you're right for the most part, we definitely need to learn a new finisher for a more powerful burst of power. The only thing I won't compromise on no matter what is KK teleportation mastery. When I was talking about using kuma/kaio-ken mix, I'm not for using it in order to use some new state in battle, though that is the long term in goal, I'm all for using it during training because of the pure strain it puts on our body. Learning to deal with the insane amounts of ki pushing our body into extreme duress will push our endurance and pain tolerance much, much harder than any type of training we could do. Not only that, but learning to deal with the strain and massive amounts of ki and better control it, even minutely, will make us far stronger and much better at controlling our ki when in our base. So yeah, going back to our roots and building our endurance and stamina was pretty much my goal, sorry if that didn't seem obvious, should've explained that better. As for a good finisher, I'd recommend the Bear's Roar(or Super Bear Shout). Think of the super Kamehameha to the regular Kamehameha. Considering Tofoo did that weird thing where he shot a way stronger version of his bear shout, it would make sense for him to practice and try to tweak the move in order to make the same result, ending up producing a stronger variation.

I was thinking something like that Super Dragon Punch attack but with a bear totem for our finisher.
Betting on one decisive blow at the perfect moment seems to fit with our original style anyways, and what's more all-or-nothing than a punch that has a good chance of disintegrating somebody.
>>
>>1739251
Already on the list,
>Kodaik Crash/Kurma crusher
(Dragon fist but with a bear, name still in development)
I can go with this or Bear Roar

But if we do go with super dragon punch then we really need to vote for which name to use.

I disagree about the Ki Control, there is still a lot to improve.
For example charging times, lots of techniques require valuable seconds of charging and nobody ever thinks of trying to improve them.
Other thing is better remote control energy, that could have a lot of utility like
>Curving the directions of our beams in impossible angles
>Control multiple beams at the same time >Multitasking with our two hands like shooting thunderbolts with the left one and shooting a special beam cannon with right hand
And being able to do pincers with the energy and also would have less energy go to waste by not missing any shot.
Speaking of pincers, there you have a finisher, how about a Dual Kamehameha that make a full circle and collide into the opponent. Goku did a one handed in DB so it should be possible.

After some brainstorming, here are some training techniques I thought.

>Overcharging our body with electric ki, train pain endurance and get more insight of the lightning ki at the same time.
>Learn to do remote control on multiple beams and blasts at the same time in many different way. Make a synchronized dance show with our lights.
>Play ping-pong with Trunks but with Kamehamehas instead of balls until deflecting becomes natural.
>Spar with Trunks only using electricity to make it extra painful.
>Spend all our rest meditating, getting more understanding of the god ki,Kuma Ken and the Multiform technique.
>Expand our movepool by sparing only using our legs. Gotta get those Lightning kicks we've been wanting since forever and having energy blades in our feets.
>Doing all that while using Kuma ken without taking it off any time. We got the Kuma Ken by using Kaio Ken constantly for months so doing that again should help somehow.

In all honesty, whatever we're able to do is up to Som.
The only thing I know for certain we're gonna include in our training is the Fusion Dance.
That's a fantastic last resort move.
>>
>>1739346
Sure we can do that, at most it'll take a couple of hours to teach Trunks. That's not even assuming we get it right first or second try, there's really no reason not to teach him Except for the mental scarring he'll take from the fact that for at least a short while, he'll have known how his mom feels in bed, that shit is suicide inducing, but them's the breaks when it comes to saving the world
>>
>>1739348
...Maybe we should just demonstrate the dance and hope we don't fuck it up when we need it.
No reason to scar the boy for no reason.

Except that controlling your power to exactly match your partner is a critical factor. And even tiny mistakes can cause the fusion to fail.

ANON!

The year we're about to spend in the HBTC should be focused on our Bear style, our God Ki and bonding with Trunks. Maybe a cool Finisher too, but only if we work on WITH trunks for extra bonding. Maybe Fusion too, so he can go to the future and teach it to the girls.
>>
>>1739609
>teach it to the girls
They're dead aren't they?
In the shitty future I mean.

It's really unfortunate we haven't tried fusion for any of the fights. But then again it's so risky to use since the dice can screw us over.

Didn't some of the other Z Fighters know the technique too? I'd rather let Som decide if someone successfully fuses rather than Kek.
>>
>>1739612
Ho-Lee-Fuck!

Teach Trunks to make Dragon Balls. Use the Dragon Balls themselves to wish for raw materials.

Trunks becomes future Kami, wishes the girls back and lives happily ever af- ZAMASU
>>
>>1739645
And don't forget Babidi and Dabura.
>>
>>1739263
I know I invented the technique, but I really hope we learn some kind of Final Dragon Flash.

There's a scene in 3X3 eyes where Yakumo uses Kuan-Yaa to create a spinning cocoon of laser dragon to beat his immortal opponent. A similar move could prove beneficial against the seemingly immortal Cell.

Of course I can't find the page from the manga to save my life, but spinning laser dragon cocoon sums it up fairly well.
>>
I still think it would be pretty simply to learn the kikohou/tribeam and then create our own finisher based off its colossal power (seriously, shit's so powerful it can stunlock semi-perfect Cell despite tenshinhan was hundreds of times weaker than the super monkeys that could barely hurt Cell)

Once we get the basics of that move, it could be modified by Tofoo to be more energy-efficient as the normal move rapes the energy reserves of the user and Tofoo has a high enough ki control mastery that he should be able to modify the very essence of pre-existing moves. And if there's enough room for improvement, make it even more powerful if possible.
>>
>>1739704
Im against this for several reasons. firstly the move is that powerful because it siphons life enegry for fuel. secondly Tien has been honing his ability with the technique for years we would just be developing it. third it robs Tien of one of his last hurrahs of true awesomeness something he needs after sucking so much recently. fourth we are unlikely to be able to develop it without him around, better to focus on our own shit.

speaking of our own shit. I feel Goku and Kori should go into the HBTC first.

lets take a day to learn the kai kai, talk to popo, and king Enma and defend the earth. I also want us to get our hands on some Ensenji so us and the boy can train without sleeping or eating.

Goku can show up on day 2 with his powerup to save our ass, then we can show up Day 3 to fight semiperfect or perfect cell or robo-vegeta or whoever.

Tenshinhan never improved since he was introduced in the original dragon ball, or at least we weren't shown any improvement on his part besides the token getting stronger between story arcs. Hell, unlike goku and his millions of kamehameha variations, both the dodonpa and kikohou stayed the same technique it was decades ago, so I don't see how that somehow translates into tenshinhan polishing his technique.

Besides, everybody is a genius learner in dragon ball Z, moves that took years to develop are learned in seconds by pretty much anyone who bothers to learn techniques of other warriors. That and as I mentioned before, the idea was to create something new based off what is effectively the most powerful ki attack in canon (which for some reason no one of the hundreds of times stronger fighters bothered to learn). No reason to gimp Tofoo just because one dude hogs the stupidly powerful attack business.

cool but i dont think he moves his hands
>>
>>1742766
that's because the energy moves itself, you even notice it if you watched cell's shadows during the scene.
>>
I just realized that if we fuse with Goku now there is a possibility of us using Super Saiyan Blue.
>>
>>1743468
Huh, would we pass some miniscule amount of God Ki to people we fuse with?
>>
>>1743468
>>1743509
I think it is possible, but it would require Tofoo to actually learn to use it, let alone master it. So far in quest, as far as Tofoo knows, he just gave his attack a weird power boost. We'll really need to push our ki use hard during meditations to figure it out.
>>
>>1743556
I kinda want to spend one month of time chamber time just meditating
>>
>>1743615
>>1743615
It's a better Idea to train extremely hard physically and then meditate when we're physically exhausted and needing to rest anyway, then we'll be doing both without cutting into either. Depending on how well we do for most of the year though, I'm willing to go full meditation near the end of our training year. I'm hoping we don't just skip over training with a roll. I'd like to be given specific points where we figure out techniques or better learn to harvest our god ki instead of just saying we figured out by spending a month on it, that just isn't very efficient with our time.
>>
We could always meditate under the highest gravity setting in the gravity chamber. We still haven't gotten it to 500x gravity. I dunno if this would help for the god ki training but I'd like to think so.

As far as the room of spirit and time, we should train our base form and create a finisher, as well as going back to our roots by refining and teaching Trunks our bear style. I'd like to master the Ki Blade get it to the point of free manipulation, shortening it, widening it, lengthening it and so on but anons have stated multiple times a dislike for the over use of the technique but I'd think it would be useful to train up if only to be able to use it like Vegito does.
>>
>>1744329
Luckily the time chamber does have increased gravity, which gets dangerously heavier the farther out you go, at least from what I remember it, I'm not sure if it was that or that it's just so ambiguously dangerous that it's the perfect place to train no matter what.
>>
So, is it safe to say SOM is fairly burnt out on Dragonball, and just really wanted to run other things like Earthbender Quest and Spirit Detective Quest, but we're a bunch of dicks who only want Tofoo?
>>
>>1755858
id actually like some spirit detective quest but i never got into earthbender
>>
>>1755865
Same, kind of. I followed Earthbender, but never participated. I think if anything, I'd like to see the next Avatar in the line born, with the supporting cast having roles of some kind. But that's not my call.

William was just a fun dude.
>>
>>1755858

Maybe, I never followed his other quests, so I voted against continuing earthbender quest in favor of more Tofoo shenanigans.
