/qst/ - Quests

In ages long past, the Lussurian Empire spanned the known world. The empire's supreme magical might secured the nation's prosperity for centuries. The nation's opulence grew over time and its citizens became increasingly decadent. Corruption spread, misuse of magic skyrocketed, and in time; the whole of The Empire collapsed under its own weight. Civilization vanished.

One thousand years hence, several countries have since sprung from the ashes, magic seen as a dangerous but necessary tool. In recent years, there has been a surge of interest in that fallen empire. Scholars believe that the magic of old may yet be used properly, but lore of those times is all but gone. The ruins of that mighty age still stand, and scholastic fervor has summoned a new profession; the Treasure Hunter.

You are one such treasure hunter looking to make your fortune .

There is but one question...

You're teachers at The Circle explained as best they could the complexity of your origins. Its hard to understand the particular details, but the gist of it is as follows. You were once a pair of fraternal twins, one male, one female; and the two of "you" accidentally interrupted a binding ritual on a Empire Artifact which reacted violently. The two siblings were fused, body and soul, to create *you*. The masters of The Circle attempted many times to reverse your form, but the change was absolute. You don't remember either of your early childhoods, but your state of being isn't harmful to you. you had become more than one person, but less than two.

Functionally, that mean you had all the primary and secondary characteristics of both male and female. It also means you're barred from all public bathhouses, even the co-ed ones. Legal documents are a nightmare. But, you thank the spirits every day that you don't have to shave very much at all. Silver linings and all that. Also this fused state has given you an intuitive understanding of magic, nearly making it second nature to you. Also you can multi-task very well, though you're unsure if it's because of having two brains or not.

Speaking of legal documents, you're starring at your passport form. You're supposed to meet a friend and business partner up by the docks. Very soon you'll be leaving The Nation State of Rocca for the first time in your life to begin treasure hunting! You look over your passport again, and check to see if anything needed to be corrected.

You make a notation here and there, Changing the F under gender to H, before tossing your bag over your shoulder and walking onto the ship off your island home. Your good friend who paid both your ways to the mainland to the southeast should be waiting aboard, it was nearly noon, the appointed time to meet.

A lady with dark brown hair, and hazelnut eyes leans over the edge of the ship's port side waves to you. Her clothing suggests a scholar of magic, but the materials are far too fine to belong to a student. Notably, the material around her vest strains a bit compared to the rest of her attire. She smiles warmly as you ascend the ramp onto the ship.

"So, you nervous?" She asks. "First ship ride always gets to you."

"Saturia..."

"Saturia... Have you been stuffing your brassier again? You look like you're about to bust out of that vest. Not that i'm complaining, you look great!" You point out a straining button on her blouse. Part of you smirks at her wardrobe troubles. As rich as her family is, one would think she'd purchase something that was actually tailored to her.

"Stop it! you think I'm doing this deliberately? This is probably the only thing i own that's suited for roughing it... Haven't worn this in years, I'm surprised it still fits. " She pulls at her neckline, trying to adjust herself with dignity in public. She wasn't succeeding very well.

"Can you help me? I'm pinching in back." She gestures to a cluster of twisted fabrics in the center of her back between her shoulder blades, probably cruelly smashing her chest to her frame. You reach out for a moment but hesitate.

"Oh come on, How long have we known each other now?" She asks incredulous at your hesitance to assist.

>You have baby portraits together. Yes, all three of you.

Saturia has been one of the few constants in your life. You were born in the same month. Your families have been long time friends. You grew up in The Circle and she would regale you on tale of her traveling to and fro with her magic tutors to the other ports of the Morrocca Inland Sea. She was there for nearly every single one of your birthdays. Save for the one she was sick.

Two and a half peas in a pod, you think to yourself as you dive in to unravel the tangled web of garmets in the center of her back. Unfortunately, you were never trained to disable traps, and get your finger caught in what seems like a combination of bra and bear trap. You yank a few times before there's a snap and your friend yelps. Seems that undergarment gave up the ghost.

"Seriously? you wear these things too." She complains, before rolling her eyes smirking. She deftly, and discreetly retreated her busted bust booster and slipped it into her pack. There's a pregnant pause as you make a visible effort not to admire the effect Saturia's unrestrained bosom was making on her studious ill fitting blouse. The silence is awkward and long, before your friend finally coughs and begins speaking.

"So i was planning on telling you about my contact in Goruda," She beings.

Right! Your highway to fortune, Goruda. The country to the south east. Hilly terrain, even temperature, good wine country, but most importantly a Lussurian Ruins mother lode. Whether or not Goruda was a metropolitan area in ancient times is still debated by scholars today, but the fact of the matter is, there's practically a new lost city found every year. This year? It's your turn!

"She's an Antiquitarian by the name of Molla Nessa." Saturia explained. "She's done more than a few million gold deals Goruda and she wrote to my father saying she might have another lead, But wouldn't say more."

The Ship lurches and starts to roll into the open sea.

>>
>>1725204

Your friend is rich right? Rich people have ice cream! Obtain ice cream. Double scoop! You are two people after all
>>
>>1725204

You make a loud comment about sea legs before diving headlong into your best friend's chest. You've got a much better idea of what she's working with under this vest after feeling their weight against your ears. Cantaloupes at the very least. You also smell a new perfume from in-between Saturia's orbs, must be an occasion.

Either Saturia buys your lame excuse about not adapting to boat travel yet, or she knows you're a sick little monkey and doesn't mind, is anyone's guess. It's also anyone's guess how that struggling button on Saturia's vest ended up underneath your tongue. You recover from the chest dive with some amount a dignity when your stomach growls. You bring up the idea of ice cream with Saturia, and she agrees with you. Ice cream sounds great.

Some time later you're double fisting a double scoop of chocolate and vanilla while subtly eying the rest of the passengers aboard the vessel you're on. You've got the standard fare. Merchants, especially wine merchants. Goruda was wine country after all. You did how ever see quite a few hunks in armor. or getting out of armor as it were. It's hot inside plated metal suits cause these boys were *Glistening*. And it was apparently hot around you as well as you can feel the heat under your collar. Thank the spirits for ice cream to cool you down.

The trip is long, taking the better part of a day and a half. Nothing of real note happened on the ship, save for a one off argument regarding use of the lavatory with the captain of the vessel.

The Goruda river soon came into view, you'd be getting off soon, and meeting Saturia's Antiquitairan, Molla Nessa

The Port city of Lotte, Its practically a capital city for halfling kind. Dozens of half height people start setting up to receive your ship. You idly wonder if thinking the sight of them climbing up the side of the ship to take your luggage being funny is considered racist.

As you step off the ship, you've got a few moments to entertain yourself as Saturia obtains lodging for the night. She is the money after all on this trip. At least initially, hopefully you'll be making your own money after you strike it rich.

>What do you do?

Maybe Saturia can lend you a dress or two.

Ponder your impending fortune, while keeping your eyes peeled for any sign of artifacts and antiquities being bought, sold, or shipped. If this country is as rich in treasure as you've heard, maybe you can learn a thing or three.

>>1725570
Contemplate how adorable halflings are and the refined excellence that is shortstacks, also the fact that you are the right height to be staring down the tops of every halfling you meet by default. This city is clearly the best city.

Other than that, run around and look for exciting landmarks and buildings and stuff! Find some treasure, go on an adventure, just because you haven't really started your quest yet doesn't mean you have an excuse to not be adventuring RIGHT. NOW.
>>
>>1725570
Ask around and see if anyone has any dirt on some good places to start looking for treasure. Saturia may have a contact already, but a little local gossip can't hurt. And, might as well admire the local girls too, while you're at it.

You decided to give the city a once over, see the sights and check out the local flavor. So far, you were liking what you saw. You remember seeing one Halfling baker back in Rocca, and her pies were fantastic. She also looked really good for being a mother of three. And it seems that general attractiveness seemed to be a common trait in Halflings. A history lesson in The Circle theorized that Halflings were originally a servant caste of humans warped into a true race by Empire magic. And The Empire had a very keen eye for Aesthetics. So far, according to your eye, the theory checks out.

But you didn't spend your entire time ogling the studs and stacks. You were looking about the market, specifically the trade of artifacts, and business was booming! Its here you devised that there were three basic markets for Empire Artifacts. Antiques, Magic Items, and Amber Craft.

Antiques were the biggest market. and the easiest to get into. simply find some old stuff. Jewlery, pottery, statues, yadda yadda; and start selling either to the general public or to private buyers. General selling, you deduced from the various stands in the bazzar, is basic bread and butter of making money in the Treasure Hunting career. Though you'll always get more money from a more dedicated, and educated, buyer. The roadside antique stall is likely to get rid of the "worthless junk".

Magic Items are a whole different story. Magic items are specialty shops sales when made brand new. Modern magic items are drab and utilitarian, where as Empire magic items are typically bedazzled with gems and decoration. Every Empire Magic item that still works to this day is an artifact of the highest power and the highest price. Sell one of these to the right person, and you can live quite comfortably for a while.

Amber Craft is an interesting beast. Amber, refers to fossilized tree sap sufficed with mana. Wizards and other magic uses, beside rare individuals like Saturia and yourself, require Amber and other "Mana Batteries" to use magic. Amber "Craft" is an Empire Era concept. In those times, reportedly, nearly everyone could perform magic to at least some degree without external aid, so Amber was an item of convenience. So the ancient civilization turned these powerful magical aids into art and decoration. Gives a little perspective on the priorities of old humanity. Regardless of sensibility, Amber from The Empire Era is generally more refined than modern crafted amber, and can store much more mana, but is generally in a form that's more cumbersome to carry, like statuettes and busts rather than amulets and rings. Still though, Magic users the world over will chomp at the bit to buy some Authentic Amber Craft.

After your three hour tour of the city, you find Saturia waving at you near a tavern and Inn. "My Contact is inside if you want to see what she's got for us. Or do you want to look around some more?"

It sounds like you've gathered some good intelligence, and you can go and meet Saturia's Contact with a better understanding of the type of world she's wheeling and dealing in. If this treasure-dealer is ready to see you, probably best to have this meeting and introduce yourself now. There will be plenty of time for you and Saturia to have fun and sight-see afterward.

>Get down to business

You decide to meet your erstwhile contact and find out what this money scheme truly is. Saturia leads you inside the inn where many patrons are eating dinner and having drinks. The local minstrels play lively and jaunty tunes; overall an active place to dine. There is a balcony area where Saturia heads up, the area is noticeably quieter than the main floor and slightly dimmer in light. It is there were you see a few booths and tables lit by candles.

A woman in the far corner waves you over. You don't know what you we're expecting when you saw the Antiquitarian, but is wasn't this. What you saw was a dusky skinned elf with raven hair and jewelry hanging from her ears, neck and hands. She was draped in fine clothes, and had a glass eye with a golden Amber pupil.
She was also the fattest elf you've ever seen. Elves had a tendency to be lithe and graceful, this woman was positively rotund. It's odd, she carried the weight with stereotypical elven grace. It looked like her excess poundage was tailored to her to look good and even striking. It seems that this Treasure Hunting business was treating her very well.

"I was wondering when you'd show up. When your father refused the deal i was worried i'd have to find a new business partner." She greets you and offers you a chair, which you do take. Seems she ordered food for you too, about half a dozen appetizers littered the candle lit table.

"If i may Molla, can we not tarry too long on the pleasantries? Its been a long sailing" Saturia offers. The rotund elf nods and takes a long draught of her beer.

"Strait to the point then." She leans in to make herself easier to hear, though there wasn't that much trouble to begin with. "I may have a lead on an old Shrine from The Empire. Complete with a statue "The Goddess" my guy says"

>Huge Bitch?

"So what exactly is The Goddess?" You ask The Antiquitarian. Blinks before nodding. She pulls out a few pieces of paper, carefully laying it out around the fried green beans and the blooming onion platter. Drawn on the paper is a simplistic depiction of a very VERY voluptuous woman with a very exaggerated hourglass figure. Each breast on the figure was thrice the size of the simplistic head on drawing. Same with the hips, stretching out nearly 3 heads wide on either side. The waist was barely larger than a head width however.

"The Goddess, is a common figure in Empire Era art. No names are attached to it, or even if this lady was an actual deity. However this woman shows up often enough that she must have been a revered figure, or at least a revered concept." Molla explains, then partakes of a few handfuls of the various appetizers. "Shrines, are simply large collections of artifacts and amber craft that suggest a place of reverence."

"hmm... Well i'd say this figure is rare, but i've been proven wrong recently-" You look up from the art tracing the outward curve of Molla's stomach, admiring the generous curve of her bust and then resting your gaze at Molla's... displeased face. "I mean that as a complement I swear."

Molla rolls her eyes and huffs. "Thank your lucky stars your cute. I've set hair on fire for less... But i do look nice don't i?"

"You are as bountiful as you are beautiful, and i bet you were born with a callipygous physique that has only been amplified by...." You lay it on thick with an earnest smile, before Saturia flicks your ear.

"You're doing it again" She chides you.

"I hope it's not too rude a question, may i ask about the eye?" You say with trepidation in your voice.

"This, is the reason for my success. I had this added to me so that I can see Mana ripples. Lets me see how magical objects and people are. Normally i would have blown you off for your comments earlier, but i can see the both of you are rare individuals. Not the kind to turn down and regret it later. " She points to her amber pupil in her right eye

"Do you have any other questions... that aren't rude?"

>why us?
>Tips for the newbie?

"What exactly is our share?" You ask. "You're obviously not doing this pro bono. Do we get credit for the find?"

"Oh, of course. Everyone I work with gets a finder's fee. ten percent off the top is the common rate, but since I know your parents, bump it up to twenty percent." Molla takes another long drink of her beer before finishing it.

"That's pretty generous." Saturia says. "Might I ask... what's the catch? Don't you already employ Treasure Hunters? There's something you're reluctant to talk about"

"That obvious huh?" She says, pouring herself another tankard beer. "Here's the main issue, This lead isn't from what most Treasure Hunter's would call a "reliable source""

"Uhuh..." Saturia voices her concern.

"I got the lead off of the testimony of a delirious survivor of a bandit attack in the southeastern mountains. Beast Folk. They've got the run of the place up in that rocky terrain. " Molla starts drinking again. "Which brings me to my other point. Bandits. Most Treasure hunters come in two times. Dumb muscle and weak scholars. The people who could take care of the bandits couldn't tell the difference between a priceless vase and a chamber pot. The people who identify the good stuff are scribes who haven't lifted anything sharper than a letter opener in twenty years. Hiring both is out of the question because that'd raise my costs too high. I wouldn't make any money on it."

"So we're the people who can do both, so we're inherently more expensive... but you save money on quality rather than quantity in this situation." You finish Molla's thoughts.

"Precicely." Molla wipes her mouth.

"Well, we'll try not to let you down. Though do you have any tips for a novice? We might be skilled in the technical sense, but this is still our first rodeo." You raise the point. Molla taps her chin, then snaps her fingers.

"Get a Donkey, and sacks filled with wool. Old things are fragile, and donkeys will go places horses will not. Plus, antiques are heavy. Do you think i got rich carrying my own loot?" She says.

"No you do not." Saturia blurts out before covering her mouth. Molla bursts out laughing. "you're just as bad as they are" She points at You. "Ahh... will you join me for dinner? This restaurant makes a lovely honeyed roast boar." She offers.

I'm liking this quest an awful lot so far! You're a good writer and you seem to have a good handle on your characters and worldbuilding!

I'm not really expecting anything aside from the plumpness and "expanding horizons" promised in the title.

I am very much enjoying things, simultaneously interested to see how the main theme of the quest comes into play and also hoping that things don't get too out of hand too fast in that regard. No particular suggestions, just keep doing what you're doing, you can get plenty of mileage out of your good writing and characters without having to worry too much about people getting bored.

In my opinion at least.

Oh and >>1727559 is of course 100% correct, besides if the food here tastes as good as the Dragon's Crown art makes it look then we might as well enjoy it before we have to subject ourselves to trail rations.

One thing you can say about Molla, she is a gracious and generous host. Enthusiastic even. She invited you to try every delicacy the Tavern had to offer. And as a polite person you obliged her offer.

You soon found out that elves, or at least this one, are bottomless pits! An two and a half hours later, Saturia negotiates a polite exit from the table before the both of you exploded.

It was an enjoyable experience until the second dessert order. But it wasn't without a purpose. Idle conversation revealed a few interesting tidbits of information.

".... some treasure hunters will rob you if they find out about your finds before you stake your claim. It's illegal, but hard to enforce. .."

"...large amount of smoke in the mountains, there's talk of a volcano going up..."

You and Saturia spend a few moments in the market recovering from the meal. You purchased some supplies and the donkey. Saturia sighs and dusts off her hands.

"Well that's the last of the start up money! We are officially roughing it! " she seems excited.

"Yeah let's g- oogh... I blame you for this!" You burble, pointing accusingly at Saturia.

"Don't be such a sour puss, our employer treated us to a goo-URP!- ugh... I only kept going cause you did!" She fires back.

"I was trying to be polite! And you kept saying "that sounds lovely" when she ordered something! Look... let's get on the road. A little exercise will settle our stomachs. "

"Can't we just sleep it off?"

"You spent the money on the donkey and rations. "

"Oh that's no trouble, Father will front the-"

"We're "roughing it" remember".

"Oh... well we can take turns on the-"

"We can't ride the donkey, all of our supplies are on it."

Her face is stoic but you detect a faint whine from her.

"I looked over the map. There should be a good place to camp at these hills here." You point out exactly a third of the way between you and where the ruins are supposed to be at. At least a 6 mile trek.

Lift Saturia's spirits! This walk won't be so very bad! You joke around with her and take her mind off the less-fun parts of adventuring.

"Come on, it's not that bad. The weather is grand for a strole" You lean on Saturia's shoulders, rubbing them. She whines a bit more. You search your head a little.

"How's your sister?" you ask

"Which one? The Archmage or The Investment Banker? or did you mean my little sister the Battle-Mage Champion in junior circuit Battle Ball?" she eyes you with a flat look

"The one I put gum in their hair and they had to shave their head." You smirk at her. She snorts, "There she is! I thought my friend got replaced by a grump!" you squeeze her shoulders.

"She actually joined the junior officer corps training school for Rocca's militia, if you must know. Also don't mention it to her face. she's still kinda sore about that." Saturia chuckles.

"Feelin any better?"

"Well enough, but i could do without you leaning on me, i'm carrying half a boar in my guts, i don't need two people and the other half of the boar on me too" she pinches your sides. You yelp and dance away.

"You promised! My sides are off limits for teasing!" You protest flushed in the face..

"You brought out the big guns, mentioning my sisters."

"Right, right.... maybe i got something stowed away that can make the walk to the camp site a bit easier." You walk up to the donkey and start sifting through it, only to find bland provisions, torches, and other survival stuff.

"Our stuff is on the other side of Sebastian" Saturia offers Helpfully.

"Sebastian!? Honey, this proud beast is clearly an Enrique." you say with mock indignity.

>TEASE THE GIRL!

"Ooop! Looks like we have a stowaway! Seems Sir Cuddlebug, Esquire decided being a lawyer is too much for him!" You lay it on thick as you withdraw a stuffed, and particularly cuddly looking caterpillar toy.

"That's Mr. Cuddlebug! He never got kni- I mean I don't know how he got in there. Maybe Levy slipped him in there. She had him last." She says with a flushed face.

"Oh! and it seems he's been smuggling! Oooh... marshmallows and Sweets from Belladona's Confectionery? My my, what expensive tastes he has. Thank goodness he bought it and someone else didn't fill our pack with non-essentials."

"I-i was saving those for a special occasion!"

"I'll just confiscate these."

"W-wait! You filled our bags full of non-essentials too! I saw your pornography!" She shoots at you.

"Ahh yes, an art book on The Venus. Some of us have some sense of culture around here." you shrug, deflecting the situation

"Is that why some of the pages are stuck together." She raises an eyebrow

You take a moment to realize what she just suggested. "That's not actually why, i was eating at the time an... oh hey we're here... I think." You pull out the map and observe your surroundings. You find yourselves near a small hill that seems to lean over itself into a sort of miniature Cliff-side.

"Here we are, "Honey Glazed Hill" Supposedly this is a favorite camping spot for travelers" You explain. "Shall we set up?"

"Oh! good, i'll set up the tent. "

>Get a fire going while she sets up a tent.
>Scope the perimeter
>Tent? Singular?
>>
>>1730318
While her boobs have always been readily visible for sizing up, her booty has remained a mystery all these years, hidden under flouncy skirts and dresses! Maybe that mystery will be put to rest on this trip!

Also! I'll say again that we should pester Saturia playfully to make the time pass more quickly.
>>
>>1730331
You scope out the perimeter, because that's what adventurous types do, right? Make sure that your campsite is secure! After that you can begin work on the fire and then--- wait, one tent?

Together in one tent?

You and Saturia hadn't beded down that close since you were children and regularly slept over at her house. Or was that... Alexis... that did that?

It's hard to tell.

Anyway, it's exciting! Set to work building a fire, speculating on the fun you'll have roughing it. In the same tent. Saturia's Booty Mystery may be solved tonight!
>>
Get Saturia to show off her mighty arcane powers by lighting the campfire once we've gathered the wood!

>Tent? Singular?
But comr on guys not wanting to ride the snapping turtle

>>
>>1730352
What's the point of having powers like hers if you don't use them, right?
>>
>>1730331
Getting acclimated to the area is a good idea, so we should do that before trying to start a fire. Make sure that our donkey is taken care of and then ask about the whole "single tent" thing.
>>
>>1730331

You have a walk around the hill, getting the lay of the land. Atop the leaning hill you can see in all directions. The city where you came from, the lights gleaming in the night. Not a soul for miles. You took the time to grab firewood. You're not supposed to pack firewood. That would be silly. Firewood is everywhere!

The terrain itself starts to get a bit more hilly the further from the coast you look. And you can just barely spy the rocky crags of your destination in the moonlight.

You also sense that this place would be an ideal location for a little bit of spirit communion and channeling, though you'll have to wait for midnight to get good results. The Witching Hour tends to give you more Tenebrous Spirits. A bit more grim, but not really evil.

You head on down the hill to where your campsite is set up. Saturia is down underneath a large cloth of what you assume is the tent. She rummages and grunts out of view before the tent raise up and stays up... a bit lopsided.

"Whew! So that's what setting up a tent is like! It looked easier when Jacques did it." She straightened out her hair. "Ahh, i see you got the firewood."

You arrange the firewood in the "house" format, that one book "Essential Skills for Young Boys" illustrated for you many years ago. Saturia, scoots up to the fire and sparks start to fly from the palms of her hands. Cupping her hands around her mouth she blows into the fire. A shower of sparks fly from her mouth not unlike a firework into the base of the wood pile. Eventually flames grow and the campfire is made.

"Gosh, marshmallows sound great right now." You mention.

"Special Occasion." Saturia reiterates, though she smiles at you with mirth. You return the smile and look around.

"Soo... uh... where's my tent" You ask. Saturia tilts her head.

"Oh! Is the tent we got not big enough? I know you like to sprawl out but we should still both fit in there."

You blink a few times. "...Of course, i just thought you'd want to have your own tent." You Scratch the back of your head and look away, trying to hide your obvious embarrassment.

"I mean we've slept in the same room together, even in the same bed. It's no different" She says.

"No no, you're right." You cough into your hand looking around. "Why don't you go ahead and turn in. it's been a long day." You suggest.

"Yeah... just don't stay up too late" She says as she crawls into the tent. Your keen senses can hear the telltale sounds of Saturia undressing and the rustling of blankets. You gulp as mental images start to fill your head.

You tiptoe towards the bags, and as silently as you can, dig through them. You retrieve three marshmallows. A paltry amount, but a mallow is a mallow. You pop the first one in your mouth and grab your bag from the pile and head back up the mountain.

You roll out a blanket onto the grass, its covered with some simple sigils and a circle. You scratch your chin, recalling that being closer to nature helps with summoning stronger spirits. Anything's worth a shot you think and begin disrobing, though slowly and constantly looking out for onlookers. Don't want anyone seeing both your tits and your junk. much less at the same time. That's enough to scar a person you figure.

With all your clothes off, you do a little twirl around in the center of the circle and have a sit down cross legged. Steadying your breathing, you close your eyes. Listening to the rustling grass in the wind, the chirping of crickets, and the hooting owl. With one final large inhale... you stop breathing. All sound from the world empties from the world. You open your eyes to find yourself alone in an infinite void of inky blackness.

Suddenly you hear a clack. Not unlike a stiletto heel on a marble floor. another... then another. From the inky blackness, a swirling darkness coalesces into a... vaguely human form resembling a stately looking woman with an almost feline grace. A stark white face with deep blue eyes comes into view, with curved dark horns pointed and crowning her.

"Hello Mageling... Communing with the night?" The creature asks of you.

"Good evening," you reply with your customary smile.

"Manners even. Well you are a delicious thing... Exotic." it towers near you, nearly twelve feet tall. It leans in low face inches away from your own face, you can see that the skin is more a moving shell of bone or carapace than flesh. "And look at you, undressed and baring it all. How forward."

"Merely attempting to entice" you reply with an earnest smile.

"Mmmm~ Yes. Though there are greater Summoners out there, Spirit Warden... What makes you so special? Why should i... Give you the time of day?" The Creature regards herself in a haughty gesture, resting a hand on what you assume is its chest. You reach behind you and produce an object.

"Marshmallow?" You offer with a smile. She looks at you flatly, then the marshmallow in your hand. Then for the briefest moment, it smirks.

"I suppose I can enter you." she snatches the marshmallow from your hand and pops it into her own mouth. " I, Dutchess Dark, ally myself with you for the time being. " She suddenly flies into your face, entering your body through your mouth, and eyes. The whole of the world spins. You feel your body swell with arcane might!

You snap back to reality drenched in sweat and panting! Holy Crap that was awesome!

>>1730733
>>1730686
You slip back into your clothes: not enough of them that you'll get too hot sleeping beside Saturia in the same tent, but enough for a little common decency. You think about the new spirit you've contracted with and about ye powers she is willing to loan you and you giggle and grin as you think about how you might be able to use a few often to play some harmless pranks on your friend. You reach the campsite at the base if the hill, make sure your fire is banked like you read in that boyhood book and enter the tent.
>>
>>1730814
Also, you maybe wake up the next morning in some sort of awkward position against Saturia, head pillowed on her chest or behind or something.
>>
>>1730686
>>1730690

You descend from the hill, idly conjuring inky blackness from your hands to get a handle on your granted powers. Thinking of the applications. The fire has burnt down to a smolder, you adjust the rocks around it to assure nothing escapes the pit. You toss your bag next to the others and crawl into the tent. Saturia is sleeping quite soundly in a sleeping gown and clutching Mr. Cuddlebug, esquire.

You smile warmly at the sight and decide to grab your covers and tuck yourself in. Sleep finds you easily as you drift off.

>-----------The next Morning-----------

"Alex..."

"Alex."

"Alex!"

Your eyes flutter to see Saturia's face. "Hey Satty" you mumble with bleary eyes "Whas up"

"Alex, you need to get up." She looks at you sternly.

"I am up!" You attest to your wakefulness.

"I mean Up, up. I can't get dressed with you on me." She says.

You look down. This isn't your pillow... That's Saturia's hip. Your arms were around her and You lurch upwards. You had managed to roll out of your side of the tent halfway out of your sleeping clothes and onto Saturia, using her hips and waist as a pillow for the night. You actually drooled on her thigh.

"You're heavier than you look Alex" She looks at you. You scoot to your side of the tent.

"Sorry Satty." You try cover yourself with your sheet and wipe your mouth.

"If I didn't know better..." She rolls her eyes before obtaining her clothes. "Let's get dressed, we've got a lot of traveling to do." She starts to take off her nightgown.

>Turn around and give her some privacy!
>You know each other well enough to get dressed in each other's presence
>Nothing wakes someone up like a wholesome prank.
>Other ideas?
>>
>>1730827
>Nothing wakes someone up like a wholesome prank.
Leave the tent then send in the tendrils to tickle her
And be like im not tuching you
>>
>>1730827

Do your best to dress in front of your friend. You've known each other all your life! This is no obstacle.
>>
>>1730827
Hey! If she's allowed to get dressed in front of you then you're allowed to get dressed in front of her! You've known each other forever and you're comfortable with eachother, so why not!

It's still pretty embarassing though.

A good way to get over embarassement is to give it to someone else. Ask Saturia if she wants to see a new trick you've learned and then launch a tendril tickle attack!
>>
>>1730868
Backing this.
>>
>>1730827

You start to get undress from your night closed, Saturia doesn't really react at first, until you remove your bottoms. She eeps and quickly about faces. You can see her ears turn red. I guess she's a bit iffy about seeing *that*, On the plus side, you've got a nice unobstructed view of her bottom. Fairly shapely, a handful. Kinda pert actually.

You set about getting dressed, your clothes are bit more complicated than her button up shirt, skirt and thigh highs... though it took long enough to see her thighs squish and bulge out slightly from the stocking. Your clothes are far more ceremonial, several sashes and ornaments that help with the channeling of spirits. Spirits like to be taken care of. Like a guest in a house.

You go outside and stretch, And Saturia... takes a quite some time to follow. Must be doing her hair. That'll give you some time to heat up the rations. You snap your fingers causing a small candle like flame to appear on your thumb and try to get the fire going again.

Rations are fairly simple meals, but everything tastes better when it's hot. Eventually she exits the tent, She's wearing a different blouse, but she's still wearing that straining vest. She must like it or something.

"So... Ignoring the last few moments of it... how'd you sleep?"

"Like a bump on a log." You reply. "Did a little Spirit communion... OH! hey wanna see a new trick?"

"Sure." You wiggle your fingers at her and laugh evilly. Small little tendrils of inky blackness crawl up from Saturia's shadow and up her legs. She squeaks as she tries to step away but the tendrils hold her legs. They crawl up her legs and disappear under her skit. You can she them squirm under her blouse.

"H-heheheAY! Staphit! That tickles! HAHA! Hey! that one pinched! Cut it out!" She protests, tiny little tears form on her eyes as she squirms in place.

"That's payback for getting *My* sides." you laugh evilly

>Let her go.
>this is funny!
>Something Else
>>
No restraint! Now is the time to go mad with power! You are the night!
>>
>>1730975
>>1731028
>>1730982
You declare yourself the Tickle Monster and let the tendrils do their thing for a moment or two more, channelling the spirits and the hammiest villains from the silliest plays back home!

You do let Saturia go, though, before she has the chance to get upset and the prank loses its funniness.
>>
>>1730975
>Let her go.
Just showing her at this point
This will come in handy
>>
>>1730975

"Ahahahaha! You're completely at my mercy! I am Alex the... Erm..." Your maniacal laughter is cut short by your lack of a good title, your introspection is cut short by Saturia's own giggling

"Lemme down! I'm gonna pee!" She flails. You immediately release her, not wanting to sully her clothes. She breathes deeply, trying to calm herself down. "You're a dick you know that?" she says while still laughing.

"Sorry," You sheepishly kick around some of the dirt. "I thought you might get a kick out of it."

"You're gonna get it later, not now... but later." She grins evilly at you. "Also i hope you didn't summon a spirit into yourself just to goof off with me. Magic shouldn't be used just for leisure and amusement, that's how The Empire fell remember?" She lectures.

you roll your eyes. "Yes mom." She frowns at you. "I know, magic shouldn't be used for its own sake. These abilities actually have a use this is just a taste of what i can do right now."

You hand Saturia her heated up breakfast ration and you heat up your own. She bites down and immediately grimaces. "Is this what people eat on the trail? it takes like paper... and i think its jerky."

You try your own... Somehow they make dried fruits taste like chalk. "I already miss that feast with Molla..."

"Ugh. now I don't want to eat at all... it was really good though." She licks her lips, she then grimaces again as she pushes more of the supposed meat into her mouth.

"Well... we'll choke something down while we move. We don't have to make a meal out of it." You suggest while loading up the donkey, who's chewing on some oats. Saturia nods and starts breaking down the tent.

"Right! I know that technically we already started our career as Treasure Hunters, but now we REEALY started our career as treasure hunters! This was just a nice outing, Now we're in the business." You explain excitedly "We're gonna find some priceless antique that some scholar will say "This explains every question we ever had about the empire please have all the money ever" And we're gonna be like "Well i suppose we can settle for that..." and we'll each have our own mansion villa. Right next to each other so we don't have to walk far to see each other... "

>You'll be walking for quite some time while you head for the South eastern Rockies.
>Ask your questions now, you'll soon be getting your hands dirty with TREASURE HUNTING!!
>>
>>1731189

Treasure Hunters like you shouldn't be eating *rations* ...blegh. the moment youhave eenough money for it you need a fully stocked food wagon with its own chef!

In the meantime, discuss how and where to find this shrine. Other than a depiction of the goddess we have no idea what the place might look like.
>>
>>1731189
Questions in-character or out-of-character?

I'm not sure I have any out-of-character questions right now, aside from general wonderings as to where things will be going, who we'll be meeting and what sort of plumpening will happen.

As for in-character questions, what does Saturia think we'll find at the shrine? Will there really be bandits and brigands? What does she want to buy with all the money we'll make when we return to Molla in triumph?
>>
>>1731189
Do the sprits we get stay with us forever

Sorry, I meant to say in character

Yeah Spirits stay with you until you channel a new one.

I'll let slip that we have a veritable cast of characters yet to introduce, i hope you enjoy them all. Even though Plumping is the "Focus" of the story, that doesn't mean that should be the only thing people like about it.

Ask politely first though.

You're really excited about this whole adventure, so you pump Saturia for any more information she might have about the shrine, the goddess and the empire, fantasizing about what you'll do with all the money you'll earn at the same time.

A celebratory feast will be number one, given the state of your rations. A new vest for Satty that actually fits should be number two.
>>
>>1731348

A tiny rivulet of drool runs down your chin as you suck on a piece of salted caramel. A tear comes to your eye as you bask in the flavor. "Why diffn't weh do thiff eawerer" you say with your mouth full. Saturia is chewing and shrugs. You asked if they could dip into the candy stores to "wash down" the spirits awful trail rations. Neither of you regret you decision.

After cleansing your palettes, you got to discussing plans for what you'd do with money you'd be making. You suggest, in light of recent developments, in a food wagon with a chef. cause Trail rations Suuuuuuck. She mirrors the sentiment that the rations she had purchased for us were awful and that a greater portion of the budget should go towards "Wholesome" food, though she mentions an entire wagon dedicated to food with a personal chef is "a tad much." You say that a Mobile Library is also a tad much as well. she seems a tad disheartened, but realizes it was a pipe dream.

It takes a few more hours of chatting before the subject is broached.

"So... other than The Goddess, an art piece of a super busty woman, how do we know when we found some genuine Lussurian Empire ruins?" You ask your scholarly comrade.

"Ahh! I've got a book on exactly that in my bag on Sebastian"

"Enrique!" You shoot back before searching for the book. You pull out a leather bound book, that looks like it was handmade. You open it to find Saturia's handwriting There are a few cutesy doodles of herself highlighting footnotes. "in any particular section you want me to look?"

"Page three." She says. You turn over the page and you see what looks to be a Pillar made from several slabs of rock, along with illustrations of stone slabs. "Empire Architecture, typically is one hundred percent wrought from smoothed and polished stone, specifically metamorphic rocks, of that. white marble is the most favored material. Nearly all structures are treated with a special lacquer derived from Amber. Giving all their architecture a golden bronze look. This of course is when the material wasn't painted over."

"So tanned marble stone work." You clarify

"Doubly so if the stonework has intricate carvings and artwork." She adds.

"What do you think we'll find in one of these Shines?" You ask.

"Well lets see... Lots of jewelry erm.... Some Amber Craft... maybe one or two magic artifacts! AAA~ this going to be so great! Oh but we need to look out for traps. And sometimes the Dwemers of magic artifacts decay into something dangerous... though i guess you don't need to know about that." She mentions

You rest a hand on your chest looking down at your body. "Yeah... what kind of traps?" You look down at the ground, you notice the earth was starting to look a tad rougher and more brown.

"Well nothing lethal. Empire traps are typically designed to catch thieves alive so they can answer for their crimes... You can end up locked in a chamber and, unless someone can free you, starve to death."

As you walk you hear something that sounds like distant thunder, you have just enough time to look up and wonder what that sound was before something bites into your shoulder and bowls you flat onto the ground. You hear some distant cheering. You can faintly hear the shouted words "Bloody good shot" as you feel Saturia grab you and drag you along the ground. You can see the glint of metal in the distance, some one hundred yards away as you end up behind a rock. Seems claims of bandits and outlaws in the region wern't exaggerated.

Oh no! It looks like playtime is over!

Okay. You e got a contract with Duchess Dark, so, would you be able to wrap up the bandits in shadows? That seems like a good place to start. Maybe then Saturia can start flinging fireballs into the darkness, catching them unaware.

If we can travel through shadows, are the shadows laying properly for us to close the distance between us and them? If so, can we then use our tendrils to bind and incapacitate the bandit troupe?
>>
>>1731560
What's the nearest thing we can teleport to, is there any way we can close the distance between us and the direction of the bullet to catch him by surprise as he reloads?

If there's not many shadows around, how easily can we change spirits? Because that earth spirit thing that we have in our list would be pretty fucking handy right now.

You peer around the rock and you catch a glimpse at three of them. They seem to have moved up some. One of them appears to be an elf with knives in both hands, another is a human with the musket, a third appears to be a Beast folk... worrying with wispy magic emanating from her hands.

They're mostly out of the light, but you think you can get to them relatively quickly.

"Can you reach them from here?" You ask Saturia.

"I can roast them easy, but that rifleman's got a good eye... i think the moment i step out to toss anything significant i'm going to get shot."

"Anything you can do without looking at them?" Your body swirls with inky blackness. "They're in the light so i can't shadow walk right in their face, so they'd get the first attack off probably... i might be able to get em down, but its three to one at close quarters."

"I can toss something blindly... no guarantees it'll hit. And i can't do it all day or i'm a wet noodle..." She says. "What do you think?"

Okay so here's the master plan!

1. Saturia uses her magic to create an explosion of light, smoke or anything that will momentarily block line of sight.

2. We dash ten feet and enter the shadows, immediately warping behind the rock while they're distracted, hiding our movement and stopping that sniper from putting holes in us.

3. Sneaky sneaky around the rock while they're still focused on the rock that we're behind.

4. Ambush! Although we'll have to announce ourselves so it'll be us spooking them most likely, which will give Saturia a chance to hurl some hot fiyah!

"Distraction? I can do distraction!" She suddenly stands up and raises her athame. Suddenly a huge gout of fire and molten rock blasts up from the center of the plain. Sending up dust and smoke. You suddenly meld into the ground crawling towards the far rock on shadowy limbs faster than any creature could run or fly.

Your back rests against the far rock, you smile widely and evilly your voice grows deep and echos with power. Tendrils of pure elemental darkness snake out from you. Flailing around the edges of the rock. in a booming deep voice you utter a simple phrase. "You Dun Goof'd".

You rush around the corner with your blades writhed in the void. True to your prediction, The marksman turned is gun to face you and fired, only for the bullet to meet the side of your saber. You give the blade a lick, picking the flattened ball off the blade; And stare the bandits down.
>>
>>1731875

You flash your blades, and rush forward. The knify elf rushes forward to meet you in combat. You, being a tricky player wrap your saber with tendrils of darkness and whip it out! You don't quite cut down the elf, but you definitely gave her less upper body protection and a good scare.

Suddenly a hail of small miniature fireballs rain in from that gap. The Beast Folk Caster raises a pale blue wall of force between the fighting and the fireballs. The wall cracks upon first impact, and only cracks more with the dosen more impacts.

The marksman backs up strategically, fixing a bayonet, and loading another round.

>Who do you go after first?

The mage turns her attention towards you, she flings a lance of ghostly energy that collides with your chest, knocking the wind out of you. You whip your saber out to retaliate, but the blade reaches just shy of where you want it to go.

The marksman levels his rifle at you one eye squinted and filled with stoic grimness.

Using the explosion, you rush the Beast Folk mage and punch her in the snoot. You can feel a tooth fly from her mouth as you rush for the marksman. He attempts to draw a stowed pistol, but your blade meets him first. The pommel of your saber resounds of is temple with a sickening crack and he falls to the ground. You whirl your blades around and look behind you... seeing no one standing.

You can faintly see Saturia rushing up to you, holding onto her hat. She stops and leans over panting. "Did... did we win?" She asked.

Your observe your beaten and broken foes. you give her a sharp nod. On the inside your screaming in elation, but now is the time to be an look cool!

She sits down for a moment still panting. "Ha... haa... we need to get out of here... These cant be the only ones and they'll have seen that dust cloud... or heard the explosions..."

>Head into the rocky crags. More cover means more hiding spots.

See if they were carrying anything important and then head for the crags. Especially anything to heal your shoulder, not sure how bad that injury was.

Check Injury. Loot Bodies. Head for the crags, that gives you lots of cover and lots of shadows to either fight with or hide from your foes. Hiding Saturia might be a little tricky, but you could always wrap her completely in shadow tendrils and stuff her in a dark corner somewhere.
>>
>>1732237
Check the bandits for useful or valuable items with a quickness. If we have room in our luggage or on our person for the sharpshooter's weaponry, his firearms may prove useful or lucrative in the future.

That being done, we should really head for the hills and find someplace to hide before our battle brings more bandits down on top of us. Are we close enough to this shrine that we can find it and duck inside?

Loot and hide, while celebrating your victory!

You swiftly check over the bodies of the bandits. The Knife-y Elf wasn't wearing much of anything, so other than a few pennies, you don't get much from her. The Beast Folk woman however got you a few simple Amber jewels. That will keep you both casting, without wearing you both out. The marksman had a rifled musket and a pistol. neither of which were your style, hell you've never even shot a musket before.

You rush into the rocky crags with Saturia following close behind. Your running is a bit better than Saturia, who seems more concerned with her hat blowing away in the wind than actual speed. You enter the rocky crags and start getting above ground level. You find a little nook where its in the shade and out of the way, and has an unobstructed view of the fight. Seems Saturia's assessment was correct, quite a bit more bandits showed up, checking the bodies, putting the elf onto a stretcher while carrying the other two.
You pump you first at your successful get away and victory, smiling widely.

"Right... so we're in the thick of it now..." Saturia say trying to catch her breath. "How do we want to go about this?"

"My gut tells me that we should..."

>Look for The Shrine First

Search for the shrine first

We had enough problems with three bandits, let's not start fights with even more of them. Hunt for the shrine, maybe you'll find some super powerful artefact or a fuckton of amber to aid you.

How many bandits showed up? A sizeable number needs a large camp to hang around and if we can find it we can report it to local authorities for a reward.

Yeah, you can kick some butt, but you're a lover, not a fighter. You and Saturia might not be able to take down so many bandits by yourselves. Better to quit while you're ahead!

You should both start moving, hidden by the crags and shadows. Saturia can search for the shrine's entrance and you can keep an eye in the bandits below!
>>
>>1733180
Look for the bandits. You at least need to know where they are so you can avoid them. Don't want to get that treasure and then have the bandits find you.

"Sounds like an idea." Saturia says.

"Keep an eye out for signs for signs of the Shrine. "

You look around and find a few locations to start looking.

You ponder your options before deciding you need a little assistance. You start drawing a small focusing circle in the dirt and few simple sigils.

"Isn't it a bit early to channel a new spirit" Saturia looks outside.

"I'm not channeling... just summoning. and yes technically you are supposed to wait at noon or midnight for the strongest spirits... but I don't want the strongest spirit... I just want a local." you pour a small amount of water in the center of the circle from your canteen. You hold your hand over the circle and concentrate.

The damp dirt in the center of the circle shuffles and shifts... and up pops a flower! Then the circle bursts up in a puff of dust and a bipedal creature stands in its place. it looks like a doll, made from fruits and vegetables. It reaches behind itself and places on a cap made from an orange peel and then waves at you.

"Good morning friend! My name is Alex, this is my friend Saturia" He squeaks and waves at Saturia as well. "Saturia this is... Thaddeus the Murderizer." The tiny Plant person flexes heroically when you say its name.

"Hello... Thaddeus..." She seems bemused.

"Well thaddeus, I was hoping you could help us. We're looking for this" You pull out the drawing of The Goddess. "have you seen that anywhere around here?"

The little plant person picks up the drawing and looks over it. It squeeks an affirmation.

"Can you show us where you saw it?"

The little one gestures for you to follow it. It starts heading towards the Deep Ravine.
>>

What a cute little thug! Or is it a thuggish cutie? Anyway, you should follow Thaddeus the Murderizer toward the ravine. The Spirits haven't steered you wrong before! Keep an eye out for those bandits in case they might hear or sight your movements, and find a little something to reward the spirit with for its guidance. Also, flash Saturia a grin and give her a reassuring thumbs-up!
>>
>>1734255

The Decent into the ravine is steep, having to jump down from ledge to ledge. There were portions where it looked like climbing would have been necessary, but you simply teleported into shadow and Saturia glided her way down via a wind spell.
You flash Saturia a prize winning grin every step of the way.
Thaddeus leads you up the small stream at the base of the ravine. You're almost completely shrouded in darkness save for a small ray of light here and there. Eventually you come to a small trickling waterfall and a small pool illuminated by a grand ray of sunshine. There are a few small round disks in the pool, though in the center of it, you see one glittering coin made of gold. its hard to make out the details from the pool shore.

Thaddeus emphatically point toward a portion of the waterfall covered by deep shade. The reflected sunlight doesn't quite touch it.
You grab a rock from the shore and infuse magical energy into it to make it glow like candle and toss it up there.

you see a bust. Two large, partially eroded stone breasts connected to broken shoulders and a neck without a head connected to the wall. Proportionally these bolder like boobs are massive compared to the shoulders, and on a person I'd require a sling... or a wheel barrel. It looks like they've been glazed in honey or some other goldish liquid, giving off a sort of bronzey color.

"That's a pair of goddess tits if i ever saw any" You say with your hands on your hips.

"Marble... Amber Lacquer... 3 to one ratio... it checks out! Though typically statues of The Goddess are in better condition"

"Uuum... Its got that bronze tan hue like the bust we found over here... its that same three to one to three ratio. the thighs are intact and fairly wide too..." She discribes. In your mind you see each titanic cheek bounding with each step as you bite your lip.
"So the statue broke in half then?"

"No. this is an entirely different statue... the back and shoulders are still there, head's missing and the chest is buried in rock... Alex i think this is the entrance to the shrine!" "Well what are we waiting for!?" You say excitedly. "Let's look for a way in!" You start clamoring for a door, a archway, heck even a hole will do nicely. You start looking anywhere in between the two statues for some form of entrance. Everything seems so naturally formed aside from the two statues it's hard to tell how the rocks formed here. Finally you see a small crack in the rock wall that goes deeper than the others into blackness. you yank at the rock pulling it free opening a bigger hole.

"I think we've got a winner!" you call to Saturia. You open up the hole a bit more and look inside... You can see what looks like a pristine polished marble wall. "Come on! let's get rich!" You start crawl in, its a tight squeeze but after a few minutes pop out the other side and onto your back.

"You okay!" Saturia yells in.

"Yeah, just be careful there's a small drop. " you stand up and take a moment to look around yourself. The Chamber is grand, the only real blemish is the rocky wall you just crawled through. The walls are pristine and polished marble glazed that golden tan. Intricate carvings line the fifteen foot high walls. Statues in elegant poses line the walls. Dancers both male and female in sheer clothing frozen in the middle of some long forgotten tune.

"Uhm, Little help!?" Saturia's muffled voice calls back to you. turning around you see her legs sticking out of the hole, flailing. You reach out you dark tendrils and start pulling her legs. "Aaah! Gently!" You slowly work her out, and with a pop she come out of hole into the air. She falls on you.

"Ow..." You both say in unison.

Study the artwork! It might contain clues for puzzles, or more ancient boobs! Also contemplate lost opportunities involved in what you could have done instead of just pulling Saturia through the hole with your tentacles... then dismiss those thoughts and get back to the art!

Rest?

REST!?

Who could rest at a time like this!? You've made a discovery! You and Saturia are real treasure hunters now! You and she should celebrate your accomplishment and hug it out before strolling around a while, admiring the art! You're probably the first people to step foot into this shrine in thousands of years, after all!

There will be plenty of time for gathering and cataloging artifacts as you go!
>>
>>1737084
>Look for treasure!
treasure hunting 101: The obvious treasure is a deadly treasure, stuff that's just in reach of us can and probably be a trap.
Stuff in pillars are an obvious sign but there's a way to be inspect the object and determine if that is bait or actual treasure, simply pass your knife at any crevice surrounding the object, if any dust falls you have a mechanism, therefore a trap.

With elation you go to hug your childhood friend. she however, beat you to the punch and tackles you with a hug of her own.

" this is great!" She laughs hugging you tightly to her own chest. "This is probably the most intact Empire Era Shrine in existence!"

" I am excited too, but we can't study the ruins if you keep crushing me like this." You wheeze out. She releases you from her grip, and sets about getting a notebook and a writing utensil.

You yourself decided to observe the statues. The dancers depicted in stone were so lovely and elegant that you attempted to copy their movements. As you went down the hall to each statue you saw that the movements were getting very complicated and also very very erotic. Nothing explicit was shown but as you went through the movements yourself, you could tell that this was a sexy dance.

Eventually you find yet another depiction of The Goddess. that familiar three to one to three ratio, highlighted by her arms held wide open as if inviting an embrace. This statue had a detailed face with hair. Soft features with long flowing locks that kept the statue's naked body decent.

You also find two paths available to take flanking the statue. Both lead to hallways into the dark.

Oh i know what this is.
We need to dance, both of us, like the statues, then we must enter the hallways, (we should examine them to see for which gender) and then.. well. fun things. This IS a fertility Goddess.
>>
>>1737382
You're still on a bit of a discovery high. Ask Satty to dance with you! Ask her more about this Goddess in whose shrine you're dancing! Point to the statue of the Goddess and tell Satty that would look good on her and teasingly clarify that you meant the long hair when she gets flustered!

Remember that you're here for pleasure as we'll as business! No sense in rushing this adventure!

You can't say why, but you feel very 'charged' after completing the dance routine. Flushed in the face and panting, you look at Saturia with an eager expression.

"Satty! Come dance with me!" You call to the scholar. She had been taking charcoal rubbings of some intricate carving.

"Ahhno. Definitely not" she looks at you then the statues. "Nopee uhuh no way." She buries herself back into the carving.

"What's the problem? " you walk over to her gyrating your hips in a provocative manner.

"W-we've got work to do. Get serious! " Saturia chides you.

"You're really easy to tease~.... finding anything interesting? " you ask her.

"Well, if im correct in interpreting these carvings, this is a plase of generosity. People come from far and wide to receive blessings and gifts. Food, clothing.. erm a night of passion. All courtesy of The Goddess's grace. Asking only ... what looks like worship in return."

> contemplate this
> choose a path. Left or right
> what would Satty do?
>>
Well, maybe for good luck leave a generous offering at the base of the statue, like a couple of marshmallows or something. And maybe a hug, nothing more generous than a hug to someone who wants it..
>>
>>1737837
Oh and go left ultimately, always hug the left wall when exploring.
>>
>>1737775

>>
>>1737775
You think long and hard about what Satty has been able to learn about the shrine and it's Goddess, thinking hat maybe an offering of some kind might not be out of the question. You also think of pestering her some more, but you don't want to irk her too badly.

You look as far down both left and right hallways as you can see, trying to find any obvious differences or indicators as to what goes where, asking your friend if she thinks a Shrine to a Goddess of Generosity would be booby-trapped, and if splitting up is a stupid or an awesome idea.

You take a closer look at the left path. You see statues of women in sheer gowns pouring wine, carrying platters of food and undressing what little they wore. The hall ends before what looks like a torn heavy curtain.

The path to the right extends farther than the left path. Even with the vision Dutchess Dark granted you, you can't see to the end. You however see that it branches off into smaller rooms and halls.
The hall to the right is no less opulent than the left, but the statues don't seem to fit a theme

You approach the statue of the goddess. You place a marshmallow at her feet andhold up a hand in a prayer.

You don't notice anything physical happen. You feel like something liked what you did, or someone.

The right-hand passage seems like it might have a lot of treasure tucked away in all those rooms...

But, come oooooooooooon!

The left-hand passage with all those lovely statues stripping down for some sort of feast? That's soooooooooooo much more interesting!

You should go left and see what you find!

As you approach the curtain on the far left side of the hall you swear that you can smell some sort of combination of lavender musk bacon and chocolate. You look at Saturia and your suspicions are confirmed that the smell exist as you catch her whipping the air as well. you place your hand within the curtain to draw it away but the curtain crumbles to dust falling onto the ground and disintegrating. It is immediately made clear that the immaculate nature of the shrine seems to be isolated to the goddess' s chambers.

immediately visible is a small cave in from the center have a large feasting Hall. Several marble tables have been up turned and are partially shattered a large rectangular table in the center by fallen rubble.

there is a small film of grime dirt and other unexplained stains on the Fallen Rock and the broken tables. the rotted remains of several large pillows or cushions lies next to each table.

to your immediate right you see a line of rooms, each one blocked off only by a curtain.

On the far wall you see an open archway. The grime that covers most of the room,s seems to be more concentrated over there.

" you know I was expecting it to be more like this" you say

" I was actually expecting more of a rocky remains like we saw outside" Saturia admits.

"... Hey... You hungry?" You turn to Saturia.

"Mmm... yeah now that you mention it. it's been several hours since breakfast. " She nods, "something quick to hold us over... Why do you mention?"

"Well it smells pretty great in here, and we are in a feast hall after all. If we're going to eat, this is the place to do it." You rationalize it, reaching into your bag to pull out the rations.

"maybe the ambient smell will make it taste better..." Saturia mentions with a sulk.

"Probably!" Alex pulls out a loaf of bread, breaks it in half and hands it to Saturia. "Eat up..."

"guh, what i'd do for one of mom's cook's apple pies..." Saturia sulks biting into her loaf.

It is at the moment you take a bite, you suddenly hear a sound. like the clinking of pottery, or metal. and a new smell fills the room...

...Apples, cooked apples...

it seems to be coming from beyond the archway.
>>
>>1738686
You hear a thud in the roof above, you and a little bit of dust falls from the roof. Then you hear a few more clangs and clinks from the archway room.

All of a sudden you see a jar bouncing and rolling into view from the far archway. It keeps rolling into the feast hall until it hits the furniture. and stops. The jar itself is clay or something like it with some sort of stopper on top.

You move forward, with a hand on your saber, up to the Archway. As you do the smell of fresh food grows stronger and stronger. you press your back up against the side of the arch, while you motion to Saturia to do the same. She draws out her Athame, and gives you a sharp nod.

You rush in, weapons drawn. You nearly slip on slick gunk on the ground. It looks like a massive kitchen, large enough to prepare a score of meals at once. Everything is covered in what appears to be a black film of oily blugh. You look to and fro and don't seem to see anyone. Though the smell of fresh food is extremely strong.

You walk further into the kitchen. Weapon still drawn, you scan around to try to see anything living. You soon see a shelf that looks half destroyed, a few jars, much like the one that fell into the feast hall still rest upon it. You look at the ground the kitchen tables and see no sign of other jars that might of fallen or broke.

There's a few pantries that look like they've been broken into and raided ages ago. Wood has almost rotted completely out.

You decide to give one of these jars and open. You set it down on a counter, and pop the cork. Suddenly a golden liquid spurts out from the edges. Reflexively you jump back, knocking the jar over. A thick viscous golden substance dumps out onto the counter, and you sense a huge wave of... butterscotch. You give the liquid a closer look... it looks like food preserves, a jam or pudding.

"Wow... that looks oddly fresh for being a thousand years old..." You muse. you go to touch it.

A centimeter away from making contact, it starts to bubble and roil in place. The viscous liquid starts to rise like yeast. You see what looks like crude eyes form and a small mouth.

You decide to wave to the ooze. It looks at you and waves back burbling and bubbling. The creature then doesn't move for awhile. a good minute long awkward pause takes place before it points at itself, then its open mouth then at you.

You look at Saturia who seems to be a little bit away, checking some cabinets. You then look at the creature again.

You briefly wonder if this is a good idea or not, before dipping your finger into the butterscotch pudding... thing. It seems to burble in approval. you slowly stick the small bit of pudding in your mouth.

Your tastebuds light up with activity! you reflexively moan a bit with the flavor. "Mpph~ you taste good." It burbles happily and makes a gesture like a child that wants to be picked up. You smile and take a knee next to the counter and start to scoop the creature into your mouth. The Butterscotch Pudding Slime seems to actively enjoy it, and is actually moving closer to your mouth, and eventually it just feeds you without having to do much of anything.

In no time at all, you lick your lips and the pudding is gone and you feel quite satiated, even feeling a bit warm inside.

You then hear something... plip plop plip. You turn around, not quite seeing anything. Then suddenly a drop of something catches your eye falling from the celing. like dew from a cave top. You trace it up.

Your vision is filled with a massive rainbow of viscous liquids, shifting and moving. you see eyes all over it and mouths just like the one you just ate.

"Umm..."

The kitchen counters start to shatter with hundreds of pounds of viscous food stuff smashing into them like a gelatin wrecking ball.
You see Saturia get out of the kitchen, and you reach the edge of the archway. Your feet start to skid on the grime covered floor tiles.

As you reach the archway, your feet no longer find purchase and you slip. You fall to the ground. You have just enough time to look up and see the multi hued gloop before it slams into you shoving you flat into the ground covering you completely.

You try to struggle and shove it off you, but it's like trying to bench press sand, or icing. You flail around uselessly before suddenly you feel some of the ooze getting in your mouth, You taste a bit of chocolate, then some vanilla... a little bit of sherbet. Then some tangy orange. You then feel the myriad of lovely tastes moving into your throat quickly, It soon dawns on you what's happening. These things want to be eaten, and you just showed interest in eating one. They've been waiting for a thousand years to be eaten and you just happen to have a stomach. Eye bulge as your mouth flies open, and more of the Ooze forces itself down your throat.

>>
>>1739039

It would be a lie to say Saturia wasn't panicking a little. She first leveled her Athame at the ooze and released a gout of flame from the tip. The flames rushed around the top of the viscous liquid, Causing the edge of it to brown and harden. but then that crust cracked, popping with expanding heat sending bits of food ooze in all directions. Including on Satuira's face.

The creature still burbled and force fed her friend, who's dark silhouette Saturia could see. And That silhouette was getting full from the look of things. Saturia whipped her face off, licking her lips. She had to admit. It did taste good... She scratched her head and then looked through her pack. Maybe she had something to contain it!

>Alex Gained new Mental trait! Sweet tooth!

Sadly there was nothing but the wool filled sacks meant for the artifacts. Nothing to hold liquid. She needed time to think!... She looked at the ooze. Maybe if she chilled it, it would slow down and harden so it can't explode Alex, or if she got close, not attack her!

With a flourish she manifested several ice crystals and flung them into the ooze. They stuck into its side and there was some result!! It seemed to burble and bubble less! She layed into the creature with more ice spikes and at the very least the outer most portions of it seemed to slow to a crawl.

Saturia then started to search for a mask of some kind... A water skin should do it!

She dumped out the water and tied it to her face as tightly as she could. She then plunged her hand into the depths of the creature. It's cold and tough to move through, but after shoving half of herself into it. she's juuuust barely able to reach Alex's hand.

She tries with all her non-existent muscle to drag Alex out of the creature. She manages to pull Alex out to about the top of their head. She tries to then dig out some of the creature to at least open as much a way open into their nose as possible. It takes a bit of time. Time that fills Alex's gut even more.

>Alex gained new body Trait! [Requires full nights rest to reveal]!

She grabs Them by the shoulders and yanks with all her might.... but nothing. Either the outer crust is too cold to break through, or the creature is holding them down. Either way, Muscle power can't get Alex out!

Alex isn't breathing! She had to act quick or They'd die! She scrapes and scratches at the Chilled ooze and all of a sudden she clamps her mouth directly over Alex's mouth! Saturia sucks the pudding slime directly out of Alex's mouth, not bothering to thought to the fact that the chocolate takes amazing with the peanut butter. With Alex's mouth clear, she tilts their head back an breathes into them. Saturia feels Alex's tongue brush the inside of cheek. Her eyes widen and she draws back.

"Okay good you're alive!" She looks at the food ooze slowly trying to move back to Alex's mouth. Saturia gulps. She scoops up the crawling pudding and brings it up to her own face, slurping it down. Mmm! Butterscotch. She reaches down again pulling more up to her face, working around Alex's Shoulders, Ooo! Chocolate!.... AGH! Brainfreeze!... Mmm! sherbet!

>--------------1 hour later----------------

You are Alex... Sweet spirits your tummy hurts. Your head swims. Your entire body feels sticky... all in all? your feel awful... You see your friend Saturia in friend nearby, she's poring her canteen water on your clothing and wringing them out. You blink blearily a few times then look down at yourself.

You see a massive pale orb underneath your breasts. Idle touching confirms it to be your belly post Food Ooze... It looks like you're nine months pregnant... with Minotaur twins. You give it a poke, its taught and sloshes, filled to the brim and then some. You groan loudly. Saturia looks up and rushes over to you.

"Hey! Are you okay?"

"BLLLLAAAAAAAAAAARRRRP!" you belch, reverberating off the marble walls.

"I'll take that as a yes."

"Oooogh.... is it dead?" You ask worriedly. "Did I eat it all?"

"No, and no. I froze most of solid then cut you out of it." She gestures over towards the kitchen area where you see over two dozen icy spikes jutting out from... a slightly smaller beast You can see exactly where she chipped you out.

"Urp!... right" You grab onto a broken table to try to give you some leverage and start to stand. "Oooogh~... Ohaky... This is waaaay worse than Molla Rosa's feast..." You laugh out. Saturia lets loose a small chuckle too.

As you start to rise, Saturia pushes you back down on your keister. "Uh-uh! You, mister, are gonna sit there and recuperate" she chides you. You like nothing more than to get on something soft and take a nice long nap.you feel your eyes droop a bit as a you get yourself situated.

You sit there for ten minutes caressing the sides of your globular gut, finding it harder and harder to both stay awake and soothe your stomach.

"Heeey, Satty? Did you pack lotion or body oil?" You ask.

"D-did you not?" Saturia looks at you confused.
"No I didn't, C-can you apply it to my stomach? It should loosen up my skin and give me more room to breathe" you ask with a whine.

"Ooookaaay?" She reached into her bage and poured a translucent oil over her hands. She placed her hands on your gut. Sparks fly through you and you yelp.

"What!?" Saturia jumped back

"S'cold"

"Dick!" She punishes you with a squeeze of the tum. You yelp again. Before long the massage begins. You find yourself unusually warm and ticklish. You giggle and moan at the attention.

Thoroughly awake from your encounter with cold hands. You start musing to yourself and an idea strikes you.

"How much does an artificial creature go for these days?" You posit the question.

"In how many installments? And why?"Saturia responds. You point out the giant slime.

"Even if the method for semi-sentient ooze exists, having a preservative that lasts a thousand years or more might be exciting research, and for the right price. .."

"I like the way you think alex, but we're not hauling the big guy all the way to lotte."

"There are more jars in the kitchen still, see how many we can safely stow".

Saturia goes off into the kitchen, collecting a total of six jars.

You manage to stand up straight, haltingly so. The giant weight of partially digested weight slowing you down, but it was no longer crippling. You stifle a burp before stretching a bit. Your top was still drying on top of a table Saturia had wiped clean. Your pants still were around your waist, tied up by your sash, still a bit messy from your encounter, but you weren't quite ready to disrobe completely. Scratching your head you realize your turban is missing. You look around the room before grimacing... you give a glance at the frozen food blob and make out a small bit of cloth within it... things for later. You walk over to the six rooms on the side. You draw each curtain.

Inside each room was a pair of stone bed frames and the decayed remnants of silk bedding. It smelled faintly of perfume, specifically lavender. You see a silvery reflection on the wall of each room. its dirty, but you can clearly tell that this is a mirror. Upon closer inspection, you can see cabinets below each bed. Saturia comes up flanking you, studying the rooms with her typical analytical gaze.

"This is definitely where the "Nights of passion" too place."

"Really? I mean... You've got people eating right over there" you gesture to the dining hall that was just a thick curtain away from carnal acts. "And... there's two beds in here... you can't tell me that you'd have two.... customers... in here at a time" You mind goes through the implications. your face flushes. "Have a feast, grab a partner and have yourself a good night... and all sectioned by The Goddess..." You bite your thumb mulling it over. It was either barbarism, or enlightenment... you're not quite sure which.

"This place was all about mortal "needs" They just considered ... erm... companionship... a need." Saturia elaborates. "That's what i'm gleaning anyhow."

"Well, good news is... we've got a place to set up camp!" You smile at Saturia. "Aaaand we do have enough good food here for at least a week or three between the two of us." you gesture to the blob. "We're also underground, the bandits won't find us here." you beam widely "We can Really give this thing a good working over at our leisure."

"You're right!" Saturia nods. "We can give a full recording of this entire place! And we can take our time to find out what's the most valuable items here to take back to Molla Nosa!"

"Well we know we're taking the Food Oozes... cause not only are they delish~ but they're also fascinating! i bet you can buy an entire house off of the money you make off of one ooze~! The question is, Which one do we save? Chocolate? butterscotch?..."

You know what sucks when you've been force-fed several gallons of magical preserves? Doing literally anything. You have weeks, take it slow, do the easy stuff and take a nap for now. The rest can wait till you're less of a beached whale.

Study the oozes.
Search the Passion rooms.
Clean your clothes.

You should take it slow for the moment and you don't want the oozes unexpectedly thawing out.
>>
>>1740968

You decide to thoroughly search the rooms. Maybe you'd find some thousand year old contraceptives that try to castrate you. You reflexively shiver and cross your legs at the sudden thought. You get on all fours, looking at the under all the beds' cabinets. They were intricately made stone cabinets with marble. You pull open the cabinet to find it filled with dust, and you find all manner of obscenity under there! Something vile, something unclean for virgin eyes! Something..... magnificent!

TOYS.

Ancient Empire Naughty Toys.

"I-i wonder what these things are worth... to an... anthropologist?" You muse as you decide to dig through the objects and sort them out in various order of naughtiness. However as intriguing as these objects are and the implications of their design you find three bottles from three different cabinets with three different colors. One was shaped like it was some sort of sparrow or bird, the way the glass almost had feathers and a glittering green liquid sparkled. One was shaped broadly and right around the stopper had two glass horns, much like a longhorn bull, or ox filled with a red liquid. The final one, seems to coil around much like a snake, and had a blue color.

You set the bottles on a counter, making a mental note to examine the bottles more closely, but right now, the crawling on all fours has givin you a tummy ache... again.

"Satty... i'mma take a nap... don't let me sleep too long..." You flump over onto the bed, your gut sways left to right from the motion.

"I'll make sure nothing sneaks up on you and makes you eat it... or eat you..."

>---------------------One hour passes------------
"Okay sleepy head, time to move a little, don't want to screw up your sleep schedule" Saturia poke you in the head. You groan and sway to your side, Your gut doesn't feel nearly as oppressive as it did, but its still clearly jam packed with food stuffs. A full nights rest would alleviate you of this, but its not nearly as annoying as it was earlier.

You look at the great frozen blob of foodstuff and scratch your chin.

"Satty what do you think about a little investigative Alchemy?" You suggest.

"You want to figure out how those things work... and what they do?" Saturia inquires

"Yup!" You put your hands on your hips noticing they were a bit more bare than you left them. You look at Saturia. She gestures to your now wet pants hung up to dry. You flush a little bit. "Probably a good idea... just uhh... do me a favor and try not to cast your eyes downward..." you scratch your shoulder... You knew you should have invested in boxers. Panties are comfortable and all but when push comes to shove... when you have to be almost naked... Boxers give you more decency. When you're rich you should invent a line of undergarments specifically designed for maximum comfort for hermaphrodites like yourself.

"Erm... right! let's just do a little science!" Saturia smiles. Science in your boxers... I hope you don't have to do any cooking, or invent some new illegal drug.

You begin your long and arduous testing process.

First you test its reaction to heat and cold. You already know that colder temperatures it ceases to function. You slowly heat up a chipped off chunk of the ooze. It quickens, but as you raise the heat it starts to bubble and boil before the outside of it starts to burn. For science you taste the creature at each temperature, Thankfully a you were no longer at "Waifer Thin Mint" levels of stuffed.

Interestingly, The temperature of the creature changed the taste of it. The Sample in question was chocolate. At cold it tasted like chocolate flavored gelato. at a cool temperature, it tasted like chocolate pudding, At a warm temperature it tasted like chocolate icing, and at a hot temperature it tasted like hot fudge off of a sundae.

The next test is whether it can affect other objects. You tried feeding the ooze some of your rations. It swallowed a crumb of bread whole, and after a period of forty minutes, that bread had dissolved completely, assumingly it became integrated with the ooze.

The creature leaves a thin nonstick film on surfaces, you theorize that this is the grime you've seen all over the place. This film actually seems to protect the ooze from picking up "unpalatable" containments, such as dirt.

You finish your testing with a happy sigh... and then eat the experimental ooze. It was about dinner time.

It's now night time and you are exhausted

You lay upon an ocean of silk pillows as a small servant boy feeds you chocolate covered marshmallows. Two other servants wave a fan in your general direction. Three individuals come up to your throne. Two very curvy ladies and a very hunky guy in barely any clothes. From behind them you see Saturia approaching in some lacy skimpy outfit.

"Your majesty " Saturia leans in, her bust swaying as she does. "These three specimens will be your entertainment for tonight. Which do you wish to choose?" You smile and look at the three pieces of tail brought before you

"Choose? I'll take them all... All four of you!" You hold your arms wide and they swarm you. You close your eyes lost in sensation for a few moments, and you open your eyes again. The hot pieces of ass and your childhood friend are gone. In their place are several large blobs of food ooze pinning you down. You try to scream but the silence you by forcing their way down your throat!

>-----

You jump from your bed with a gasp. you look around. Saturia is in the opposite bed, snuggled up next to Mr. Cuddlebug, esquire. You're sweaty and your mouth is dry. Damn nightmares. Never get force fed several gallons of thousand year old preserves before bed!

Worst of all your chest hurts, like its pinching. you look down and.... two large tanned orbs are bulging out of the cups of your brassier. Those aren't yours... are they? you give them a poke. No they're yours. Somehow... The Food oozes! They gave you boobs! Well... bigger ones anyways. You've finally outstripped Saturia!

You jump for joy, at this outcome! Your chest bounces in elation! your stomach agrees!... wait. you reach down to your stomach and grab it. Its not filled to bursting like it was last night but its not flat... its a lot squishier too, not jutting out very much but softer.... you pat down the rest of yourself.

Seems your thighs and hips have grown a bit too!

Check Satie first, she got some food ooze too, she might have gone up a cup or two as well.

>(stares meaningfully at the food ooze)
>>
>>1743499
You look at yourself and then at Saturia. If the food oozes did this to you... what did it do to her? She had some too!

You briefly imagine the goddess's body with Saturia's head, and bite your lip.... juuuust a quick peek. You creep up to Saturia's side of the room. Your gait is a little off, you notice your upper thighs are staring to rub together... something to get used too. you peer over Saturia's blanket, she's sleeping soundly. No large bulges or strained fabric. You lift up her blanket to double check. No everything is just where she left it.

Curiosity sated, you creep back over to your side of the room.

"Alex? what are you doing?"

"Oh uh... making sure the Ooze didn't thaw out?" You turn around.

"Oh.. wait what!? What happened to your chest! Its massive!"

"I know right!?" You respond, thrusting it out there a little. your bra creaks a little. "I think the boob spirit finally decided it was my turn!" you rub your shoulders smiling

"... Alex you just gained weight, its not a gift." She gets out of bed and walks up.

"You don't have to put it like that. I-it went to the right places at least" you protest.

"Is this a right place?" She grabs your pooching stomach.

"I don't know how i feel about that bit just yet... " You retreat a little bit at her groping hands. Saturia sighs.

"Well... I'm up... it's almost dawn... i guess we've got an early morning." She rubs her eyes and walks over to her clothes.

You nod and decided to get dressed too. You thank the spirits again that your gear is loose fitting and adjustable! With your sash in place your chest looks almost like a shelf! You decided to forgo a bra, have to go without for a while until you get a new one tailored for you. Your trousers don't seem to catch on anything so that's well and good. And you can't really notice your stomach in the mirror due to your sash.

You chisel of a generous chunk of the frozen food blob and set up with some jerky and bread to go with it. You heat up the ooze, using the hardtack bread as a plate and use the stiff cardboard like jerky as a spoon. Saturia looks at you funny as she removes a smaller portion of the ooze herself.

"So what do you want to work on today?" Saturia asked. you swallow deeply so you can respond.

"I was thinking about cleaning up a little around her, we're going to be here for a while and a little quality of life improvement for our campsite" bite off a piece of your "plate" then the jerky spoon. "After that, i think a few investigative tests into those potions we found might be in order. might have another big money maker... though considering where we found it, it may have a niche market..." You finish your large breakfast, and get up and decide to grab a second helping.

"Alex try not to overeat... you already know what happened yesterday... and the day before that for that matter... "

"Satty, Does this look unhealthy to you?" You lift up your shirt and expose your chest.

"Put a bra on!" She shouts back. You immediately shove your shirt back down. forgot about that detail.

"this is perfectly fine for a person my age. Besides, we've got a high energy lifestyle I'll work this off no issues." You suddenly remember something that makes you slap yourself in the head. "I'm an idiot!"

"No arguments here..." Saturia says dryly with a wry smile.

"No, I've got a Janni bound! It can handle the quality of life stuff." You bounce in place excitedly while rushing to get a bottle filled with what looks like smoke. You pop it open. Suddenly a dapper gentleman with blue skin and a mustache appears with smoky legs.

"Master what may i do for you this day?"

"Yes, if you would be so kind as to give this area and the kitchen a good scrubbing? We may be here for a while and we'd rather not sit in squalor" You say in a pseudo refined tone of voice.

"Of course sir and madam.." The manservant pulls a mop from its body and begins to tidy up the place.

"Right! back to breakfast" you turn around and see Saturia carving out another section of the blob, she looks up at you like a deer caught in a field. You start laughing before you cut another generous slice of it for yourself. "Come on even though we're working we can still enjoy ourselves!" You spend a good hour eating.

You take some time to more thoroughly have a look at the Kitchen. The kitchen itself seemed mostly ordinary. Though very clearly it move a lot of food through these halls. After doing a sophisticated wild ass guess, you gather that with a full staff of cooks the place had the capability to prepare thirty meals in the span of an hour. In addition, there were no wood/coal burning ovens. Every single oven and cook top was connected to a binding circle. At least a dozen elemental spirits were bound here at one point. There was a back portion that you assume lead to a larger larder or delivery station, but a cave in barred any further passage. You make a few notes on the binding circles. They're similar to the ones you use, but slightly altered, factoring equations you normally don't consider when binding.

>Spirit Binding upgrade! You can now bind stronger spirits to Fetishes (still the objects, horndogs)

Saturia had started on sketching the dancers, and you soon join her. In addition to what Saturia found earlier you can make some assumptions on the general "message" of The Goddess. In general The Goddess seems to wish to promote overall prosperity, happiness, and love. These Temples seem to be staging areas for charity. No one is turned away. Rich, poor, citizen, foreigner... You wonder how this air of charity led to The Empire's collapse... You collect nearly forty pages of Charcoal rubbings and sketch each statue from three different angles.

Finally you start testing of the three bottles you found. Considering where you found them, you take every precaution not to get a thousand year old magical STD. Saturia puts on her thinking reading glasses. She doesn't need them to see they just make her look clever. aaaand they also let visualize mana better.

"These are magic definitely..." She adjusts her glasses. You respond by drawing an additional sealing circle around the first one you made. Saturia waves her fingers and tenrdils of magic light start coming from her hands and surrounding the bottles.

"strong magic... the effect is very concentrated... OH! Transmutation! I love this stuff" Saturia gets a little excited.

"So these potions transform you somehow..." You scratch your chin. Your eyes widen a little then you look at the bedroom you found it in. The Sex Bedroom. You start drawing a third circle.

"This stuff is supposed to be beneficial... looks like its... This is supposed to give you animalistic features." Saturia bounces in place a little. You begin drawing a fourth circle "Oh come on this stuff is benign. All it does is alter your physiology in such a way that you manifest aspects of specific animals. I wonder if it's temporary or permanent. Certainly strong enough... or it could be made to be taken in doses."

You hear a loud grumble as Saturia starts to really check it out. She jumps a bit. "Was that you or me?"

You cover up your own stomach try to look nonchalant.

"No that was you..." you say, "Let's take a short break and have lunch... then we can finish up here..."

"I don't want to leave these things unfinished for too long, it takes longer to reconnect than to continue... let's have something light." Saturia says.

"Sure I don't mind." You respond as you decide to grab some food for you and Saturia. You cut off some portion of the food ooze that appears to be butterscotch flavor, and some chocolate for yourself. then you carry it on back to the circle(s). You eat your food rather quickly, and so does Saturia. You are then struck by an idea.

"Should we try one of those potions? To see exactly what they do to a person?" You suggest

"What? No! that's a really bad idea. Even if it's supposed to be benign, it could still kill you... If we're going to have someone try it before we give it to a university or Circle, then we capture a bandit and give it to them." Saturia explains.

"What... okay. That seems very illegal..." You mention.

"Yes, and we're not doing it. If we were, we'd do that. but we're not so we're not. Besides, Molla said it back at Lotte, "laws are in place but hard to enforce out here"." Saturia explains.

"Right... can you glean anything else from it?" You ask.

"Not really no." She explains, "it seems like it needs to be taken orally, and it changes your body. Without a guinea pig, that's about it."

You decide to walk into The Goddess's chamber for today's summoning ritual. You roll out your summoning mat and sit within the circle. You empty your mind of all thought and close your eyes close.

All is quiet for a moment. then you hear a rumbling. You open your eyes to see nothing has really changed about your surroundings. you feel the ground quake and all of a sudden each and every statue is sitting down, mimicking the cross-legged position you are in.

You then look behind you. The statue of the goddess rumbles, cracking and shuttering. The marble breaks apart like a crust, and raw earth spills forth like an expanding dough from a tight container. The Statue steps forward, slowly breaking apart until a woman of matronly features made from soil and rock stands before you. She sits down low with a gentle and warm expression on her face.

"Child, Wherefore do you call me here? One such as you should not require a parent's help." The giant woman leans in and tiny little rock children appear on her shoulders. They wave at you politely and emphatically.

"A mother's guidance is never not helpful. " You say. "and is it so wrong for a child to work with a parent? Is it not why they call it a family business?"

The giant woman chuckles, her deep voice rumbles at the walls. "True, true... Well child... I, Earth Mother, will walk with you, if you'd have me."

Yes, Attuning a spirit ls like getting a spirits phone number. They're not always available, but you can at least leave a message.

Some spirits have to have certain conditions met when you try to summon a spirit.

You feel cold hands caress your shoulders and a white facsimile of a face comes into view out of the corner of your eye.

"Aww. Come on Little one... We barely had any fun together~" Dutchess Dark whispers into your ear.

"I'll call you again my lady." you raise a hand and pet the top of Dutchess Dark's head.

"Well. at least you're a gentleman." Dutchess Dark sighs. "Well cutie, keep yourself warm for when i come inside you again~" She breathes huskily into your ear before leaving. As she does Earth Mother reaches out and touches your forehead, There's a bright flash of light and energy wells up within you.

>--------

Your eyes open with a start, and Saturia jumps back with a squeak. YOU feel your body grow stronger and hardier with each passing second! You look at Saturia.

"Were... you staring at me while i was channeling"

"Well... i never watched you do it before... its kind weird. you stop breathing for a minute and go all limp" Saturia looks you over. "So i guess you channeled some sort of... earth spirit"

"Yes! how can you tell." You tilt your head.

"Well... look at yourself." You look down at yourself. It seems you've grown a sort of form fitting stony crust over your body. It looks like everything about your figure expanded 3 inches in all directions. It ends right about at your jaw line. The problem is it formed OVER your clothes. Making it look like you were a nudist earth spirit.

"Well this should stop any errant bullets from digging their way into my shoulder now!" You say bashing your fist into your palm with a grin.

You take a few moments to test yor range of motion. Your stride is a bit more "lumbering" but that's more to do with your foot fusing withe the ground briefly

Your footsteps feel very heavy, but your not causing any blemishes on the floor. You clasp your hands together and head for the kitchen area cave in.

"Okay! Let's see what momma Earth can do!" You smile widely. You grab a large rock and hoist it easily! Seems the armor comes with a strength boost! With a little coaxing you send a little bit of mana to the rock. "Come onout little guy!"

The rock breaks apart into arock amalgamation in the shape of a 3 foot tall tall, person.

"Help momma clear this out" you smile at the Rock Child. The thing saluted and sstarted ripping through the rock and piling it up for you to carry out.

It was sweaty work, but it does reveal something interesting! A beam of light, you've dug your way through to a canyon or gorge. You look outside and see what looks like a collection of huts and tents.

You move decide to block off the area to the outside right now and move to the main chamber.

"Satty, I think it's time we go to work on the rest of the Shrine." You decide to hustle to the mid chamber.

"i thought we had all the time in the world?"

"We kind of do, I think I just found a path to Bandit's camp." You say. "I want to get the rest of the good stuff packed away since we're so close to them."

"Right. Good point. Who knows, further in they might even be there... Why didn't secure this place first!?"

"Food Ooze" You finish.

"Right... yeah."

The two of you head down the rightmost path from The Chamber of the Goddess. The Walls are not nearly as busy with carvings or statues, but their craftsmanship is just as fine. As you press through, you see the hallway narrow, and what look like door hinges on both sides. Beyond that you see that the hallway splits in two directions, however the path on the right seems to be going to a room.

The path ahead seems to turn off to the left further down

You hang a right into the room. Something foul smelling hits your nose as you do. You suddenly notice that you're walking on a tattered rug.

As you enter the room immediately visible is an over thrown table and several broken bottles with liquid long dried away. To your left you see a stone throne, Beyond the overturned table is a footlocker of some kind, and to your right you see three bathtubs filled with scummy water.

"Eugh..." You pinch your nose as you move inward.

"Probably smelled far better in its prime..." Saturia comments, starting to walk about the room.

>>

You march on over to the foot locker and pop it open. Fairly easy, it was locked, but the latch broke in half the moment you lifted it up. You find a small bag of Empire Era gold in the box! Counting out about 10 coins. Its antiquity is worth more than the gold its made from.

As you sift through the tattered leather and cloth you find something you thought didn't exist. Something only available in the deepest, darkest corners of the Circle library. A thing that has been labeled by most warriors as "too good to use". The legend...

THE CHAINMAIL BIKINI!
You clutch the artifact of wonder to your chest, and you look behind yourself. Saturia is looking at the throne. she pulls a lever and a rod like object rises in the middle of the seat... You return to the chain main bikini...

>jealously guard this Ultra Rare Artifact. It is your burden to bear. You wonder if it's blasphemy to don this holy relic.

You sneakily as possible place the holy relic into your pack. What Saturia doesn't know, won't hurt her. Then you call back to her.

"Find anything good?" You ask.

"This is a BAD chair." You look back, and see all manner of *implements* coming out of the Throne, enough to make a whore blush. "Why!? Why have all this stuff!? I know that The Empire was a bit more liberal... but THIS!?" She walks away with a furious blush and rubbing her eyes.

"Uhh... Hey Satty! W-what do you make of these bottles!?" You ask pointing at the overturned table. She retches a little before deciding some investigation should bleach her brain. "Hey!... these are all bottles like the three we already found!... judging from the lack of staining on the ground... these were all emptied... probably very close in time to each other... Someone downed no less than twelve transformation potions at once!" She seems fascinated.

"What would that even do to a person?" you ask.

"Nothing pretty, that's for sure!" Saturia responds.

>Leave room

You scratch your chin while walking over to the throne with all the implements out. You about face and angle your butt over the seat.

"Alex no! You'll hurt yourself!" Saturia rushes over to you. Too late! you sit down and a loud crunching noise is heard. Seems your Earth an rock encrusted body was too much for the thousand year old sex chair.

"you were saying?" you look a bit smug.

"Ugh!... just... be careful! I swear this place is gonna make me loose our virginity!" Saturia throws her arms up in the air.

>Are your a virgin?
>We've had a fling or two... nothing stuck
>Virgin as the day we were born
>Technically half virgin, We had an unfortunate Horse riding incident... at least your male virgin!

You decide to summon a Rock Child from the earth to drain the tubs. The Rock Child interprets this as up turning them and spilling them out on the floor. The water creeps up, but is stopped mostly by the rug. You find a necklace within one of the tubs! It seems to be made from peals.

You decide to get up from the chair, and start making your way out of that room. Upon reflection of Saturia's comment, you think about your own sex life... or lack thereof as it were. You've had a few attempts at romance with both genders. Invariably, the week they learn of your "Situation", they are weirded out enough or someone influential over them is wierded out enough that the relationship is called off. You suspect that the only reason that you and Saturia are even friends still is because A) your parents knew each other. and B) you never pursued her romantically. You've lusted after her yes, she grew into one hell of a woman; but other than some teasing, you've never acted on it. She's is your best friend, it'd be weird.

Regardless, you have a look at the pearls. They're decently well put together, and there's always a market for jewelry. You think you can turn a tidy profit for this antique. With a quick spit cleaning, you hand it over to Saturia.

"Pearls are poor conductors, i can almost guarantee is isn't magic." Saturia has a look see, adjusting her glasses.

"No... i was just giving them to you because i think you'd look nice in them." you admit.

"Oh!... thank you!...I actually don't wear pearls that often... most of the time i wear silver." Saturia puts them on.

You move down the hall... You find that the walls haven't held up as well as they could have. the west wall seems to have buckled and collapsed. you don't sense any structural danger, but the rocks look like they could be moved, given time. However, there are two doors ahead of you. To your left, and a head. Both have door bars, but lack the bars themselves.

You decide to move forward and through the doors, they seem to be made of brass of all things. and squeak loudly as you open them. You smell something musty and old as you move through the door. You notice that this room seems to have been part of some sort of carnage.

There is a broken table with wood splinters littering the area, to the north you see what looks like an upturned brassier and some shattered pottery. Most worrying ly, you see a dark spot upon the ground that seems to lead into the next room.. which happens to look like a spiral staircase upwards!

"Something bad happened here." You muse to yourself.

You have a good look around of the room. Upon further inspection you see what look like claw like gashes in the walls. And the smudges on the bottom of the ground have the faintest impression of hand prints. And the smudges look like ages old blood, turned to rust atop the lacquered floor.

The smears along the floor and the hand prints lead off towards the stairs upwards.

"Someone was here... they were wounded and bleeding heavily, and something dragged them up the stairs. Whatever it was, was strong and vicious." Saturia muses tracing a line on the centuries old stain.

"D'you think that whoever drank all those potions did this?" you inquire

"Well I can say it highly improbable that whoever binged on those survived turning into whatever they did." Saturia explains. "Transfiguration magic is highly crude when it comes to blending attributes..."

"Are you sure thats not your own attempts at transfiguration?" You snark at her a bit.

"S-shut up!" She flushes in the face.

"Right... hopefully whatever did this isn't still around..."

"Again highly unlikely, this blood stain is probably a thousand years old." She said mater of factly.

"... or had kids"

"... Fair point." She shudders a little at the thought

You decide to follow the blood stain up the stairs. it winds around into another, separate staircase, and another. As you move forward you feel your hair stand on end. Electricity is in the air, and the your breath catches in your throat.

There's definitely something powerful up ahead, you don't even have to attempt to sense magic to tell. As you come up to the last staircase... you feel like you've risen high into the air. A door bars your path. Its been barred from your side. the wood blocking the door is rotted and weak, the door bears the signs of several scratches and gashes, same as the wall.

"I mean i get that... but we already climbed the stairs"

"No buts! i need the exercise anyway." You descend the stairs again, briskly walking to where the last door was.

You open the door to find six tables with red cloths upon them. Each one has shackles and a clay jug next to each one. On the far right, you see a desk a barrel with some sort of kernel or grain spilling from the bottom.

On the far left you see some sort of silvery basin that reflects light very well. It almost sparkles. in the light.

As you approach the tables, you smell something terribly sour coming from them. You notice that its coming from the jugs. Saturia heads up to a jug and wiffs the top only to recoil.

"ugh!... its spoiled wine... and its filled with decayed hops or something.." She grimaces.

You try to put the idea of a thousand-year-old monster hiding upstairs out of your mind and get back to what you know: TREASURE. The basin is sparkly. Treasure is sparkly. Therefore, the basin is most likely treasure!
>>
>>1752556
You approached the basin at the north portion of the room. Despite no actual light shining on it, it shimmers and glitters regardless... This thing is probably magic. You grab a canteen and dip it into the basin. filling it up with the sparkling liquid. The liquid doesn't loose it sparkle when you remove the canteen from its presence. The pool doesn't seem to do anything else.

"Well... considering the tables with the shackles... and the weirdness all around... My money is on this is a healing water and these tables are where they do surgery or something. " You deduce.

Saturia is around the desk. "Writing... THIS IS EMPIRE SCRIPT!" She exclaims. You rush over. She's pouring over a leather bound book. Over her shoulder you can see a very elegant and flowy set of characters, with drawings of the human form. While you cannot understand the characters themselves, the illustrations paint a clear picture.

The illustrations show a basic human then an arrow across the page to another human with a pair of horns, inhuman ears and a tail. And below that illustration is similar diagram, starting with a basic human figure, but with two divergent paths, leading to a heavily muscular human and an obese human. The lines from each of these two drawing converge on a final drawing of a human with much more drastic inhuman features.
Finally a message is printed in large letters on the next page.

You decided to exit the room, looking at the barrel filled with grains and the wine as you left. The wall of fallen rock on the left hand side looks like it could be cleared. you summon a Rock Child to try to break it down.

After a few minutes of digging you find that most of the larger rocks simply will not budge with the combined force of you and the rock child. You do however see that there is an empty space behind the rocks, a small cave or just a large gap in the rocks.

Regardless, it'll take a lot more force than you can currently muster to move this collection of boulders.

You head up the hallway towards the stairs. You feel your hands shaking a bit. You flex your fingers to try to abate them. A deep pit is in your stomach and you're not quite sure why. Look at Saturia, who looks similarly uneasy.

"So can you translate that book at all?" You ask?

"I'd have to have a cipher or something akin to it. I never memorized the Empire Alphabet. I'm surprised we haven't seen literal writing on the walls." She idly wonders as you ascend the stairs. The electric feeling in the air crawls up your spine again. You lift up the bar to the door and it crumbles from age in your hands. The door barely moves as you push it, but with a loud scraping sound you force the double doors apart. The stairs up are in a great state of disrepair. Gashes and holes seem to dot the staircase up and it is indeed a long climb.

Soon you notice something a sound. like a low droning. It tickles your eyes and distorts your vision every so often. Several minutes of climbing later and the droning only becomes more severe, Like a hive of bees in your ear.

Eventually you see light coming from the top of the stairs, and the walls end. You exit the staircase and see you're atop some great tower incased in rock and stone save for a large crack at the peak. You do not notice this immediately, as there is a brilliantly shining light. An golden aurora emanates from an altar and a small statue upon it. It is a rendition of The Goddess, however it is no common piece of stonework. It is wrought from a swirling mass of amber and gold. From this distance it's hard to tell where the Amber ends and the gold begins. The intricate patterns twist and turn, almost drawing you in, even from this great a distance.

You hardly notice the field of bones on the ground...

"This... spirits..." She fumbles with her mana sensing reading glasses. the moment she tries to place them on her face, they break in half and the lenses shatter. she looks at her glasses then at the artifact. She walks slowly forward until her foot crunches a bone in half, startling her out of her reverie.

The field of bones contains man and beast, mainly man, save for the great skeleton of some horned and winged beast resting atop it all.

"You think.. that big guy is our potion binger" You ask, your heart a flutter.

"I-its entirely possible" She say.

You approach the altar with some amount of trepidation. If you picked it up, would it kill you? Would all the power go into you? Would you still be you? As you lumber forward, your earthen legs smashing through ages old bone, the statue thrums with visible power. You reach the edge of the aurora and decide to reach your hand into the light, it curls around your hand. It tickles your skin. Not an unpleasant sensation. you draw your hand back and clench it.

"I'm going to rush in, grab it and we bolt. Got it?" You tell Saturia.

"Be careful." she holds onto her hat.

You grit your teeth and make the first stomp towards the creature. Suddenly a large rock crashes into the ground right next to you. A cool gust of wind rushes against the back of your neck.

" FEITHIDÍ!!" you hear boom across the cavern walls. You whip around, and a titanic THING crashes into the ground, sending bones flying. Some great amalgamation of scale and fur rises from the impact. A grand and massive body made from some patchwork fusion of goat, lizard and lion. A great cat's frame with intermittent patches of reptile like carapace, thuds a tad closer, two massive yet vestigial legs with hooves jut out from the front. At the creatures neck a saber-toothed cat, a lion or tiger of some kind, was grafted onto some sort of unfinished dragon like head. Where a tail might lie, a viper's body and head, leaking venom. But where a head might lie, a facsimile of a woman approximated by different animals to form something beautiful yet disturbing. A pair of feathered wings rise from that woman's shoulders, and a pair of elk like antlers sprout from the temples of her head.

"Gadai! Bheatha! Céim ar talamh naofa!" The creature yells at you, its voice is deep and not at all fitting with the fair aesthetic of the maiden it comes from. " Níl sé indéanta duit a bheith anseo!" It gestures in your general direction.

"Now now, there's no need for violence" you say calmly, you look sidelong at Saturia, who does the same in the opposite direction. "The Lady upon the altar, we've been searching for her. but only for knowledge" You pantomime you intentions as best you can. Pointing at the Idol upon the altar, then at your head nodding. Then you point at your pack and shake your head.

" Leanbh dúr, teanga shibhialta a labhairt!" She looks annoyed, and baring her fangs, from all four heads. She points at you and with a dismissive motion cuts her hand decisively, then you see an ominous smirk appear. "Beidh tú bás agus a bheith mar chuid domsa!" She starts petting her lion's head, where her hip would be and she licks her lips. The snake whips around as she stays focus on you. She levels her hand at you and holds out palm while her body leans back a bit. An eyeball opens in her palm staring at you. she wriggles her fingers.

You suddenly scowl. She's playing with you right now, but it seems very clear that she intends to kill and eat you. Probably.
