"What do you want with the Necro...bitch?" You ask the empty room, trying to spot the ghostly enemy.

You make a motion to Salila, who nods in understanding. You hope she is prepared to use her word of power.

A vase fell over, and a doll tumbled out into the open. Landing on its rear, it looked around, before wondering off randomly.

"My keeper was stolen from, she is the culprit. Tell me where she is, and I can be done with this." Said the spirit, it's voice coming from seemingly nowhere.

There is silence for a moment before you speak "I know where you can find her. Let's make a deal, so we may both be content." You say calmly, waiting for a surprise attack.

"And what deal would that entail?" The spirit asked, still lying out of sight.

"What is your name?" You ask into the darkness, the air getting thick as the only sounds in the tomb were you and Salila breathing and the idle foot steps of of the doll.

"My name doesn't matter, what matters is getting this chore over with so I may find a moment of peace before the next chore." The voice said, sounding rather depressed. And closer. The air was growing colder, and Salila let out a sound of discomfort.

"Now, offer your deal demon, before I lose my patience."

His voice you hear in your head, from reading its mind.

"Arrogant demon. Once I kill his fairy, this will be over quick."

Salila let out a short squeak of fear, and it felt like a blizzard had entered the room behind you.

You turn and see a ethereal hand grasping Salila, the fairy's Slime body freezing and solidifying as she looked horrified.

The arm was sticking out of a wall that had been behind you.

You miss, you hands fumbling a bit and only brushing the surface of Salila'a frozen flesh before the wind and explosion happened at once. The world goes white, and then black.

Mammon's face fills your vision, glaring at your. There is no sound of coins, only his breathing.

"Back so soon? Come to give more business to a rival?"

You are floating in the dark void again, having likely been knock unconscious from the blast.

The Arch-Daemon glared at you, before leaning back and nodding "yes, we do... take care though. I do not deal with unreliable associates." He said, before the coins began to fall again "my inventory is not ready for you, so, do as I command. Awaken."

Your eyes shoot open, a melted stone hall cooling around you. It was silent, with the stone settling from the heat.

A vase nearby had fused with the floor and wall, having sagged a little and warped in shape, began to rattle from something moving within it.

The ghost was no where to be seen, the section of wall that had held itsnincorporeal form now a massive hole in the earth.

You get up and quickly scan the room, searching for any sign of your fairy servant. The rattling in the vase catches your eye, just in time to see a partially broken Doll climb out and fall to the ground, clutching a small burnt marble with it. It waddled over towards you, and then held the Marble up for you to take. Small drops of orange liquid seems to condense and drip off the marble.

You could hear surface thoughts in the marble, and none others around. The Ghost must have left, but thought within the orb were still going.

"Where am I? I can't see! What's holding me?!"

It was Salila's voice, she sounded scared, near panic.

It seems this Orb was her core. As long as it remained safe, she would regenerate. However they were delicate, and while nothing else could break it, crushing or smashing the orb would work like smashing glass

"Salila its me your master, you're safe, but weakened." Her frantic thoughts calmed, focusing on your voice. " Try to will yourself to reform and heal, I'll keep you safe for now, you did a great job"

"Thank you master, I'll do my best. This is all still new to me." She said, then focusing her mind.

"Reform, reform, reform, reform..."

You stop listening to her mind, and extend carefully scan the area. The undead wasn't anywhere you could see, and you couldn't hear it's thoughts.

The sun begins to shine into the cracks you made in the tomb, morning arriving. You must have been out for a couple hours at least.

If that spirit was still alive, they likely wouldn't be back until later. Nothing could have gone through that explosion without a few scratches.

Standing up, you pick up Salila's doll, and then begin to take stock of the tomb.

The explosion had torn open the sealed stone coffins, revealing a treasure.

The book opens, and you are treated to a time written upon dried Dragon wing flesh. The book details dragons, their history and details the fall of many Dragon kings. One in particular, "Saruk the endless king" was the final dragon in history to fall, killed by the founder of the Herendel Noble line.

Through it, however, you learn something interesting. Herendel the 1st hid a dragon egg and a small hoard within a mountain cave, far out of reach by the many remaining Dragon hunters seeking to continue their gory profession.

In addition, You learn where Herendel buried his sword "Dragon Carver". It was somewhere beneath the nearby Zoo, likely undisturbed for decades.

With this Information in your mind, you stare out and feel your stomach rumble. You needed food, and the sun was beginning to rise, meaning mortal would be out and about.

You reach out, and with a simple command, you sense the foreign thoughts of the Gecko. It almost entirely was thinking about setting everything on fire, and was currently on fire itself.

It seems pleased with this.

You call it to you, and it immediatly begins to set fire to everything.

You hear screams in the distance, and can only assume it's on its way.

You unleash a torrent of flames, covering and engulfing the rat. With so little Slime surrounding its body, the rat was reduced to its gem instantly. The gem rolled across the ground, bumping into a wall then rolling off.

It was still screeching, the rats mind calling for whatever had given it those ghastly images and words to throw into your mind. It hurt your head, and you could feel blood dripping from your ears and nose.

However, you could hear Salila's voice, in your head beneath the noise and images, calling for you. Asking if you were alright, asking if you needed her help...

Fly up to the ceiling, you gather the fell magic within your gut, preparing to unleash a torrent of fire at the entrance.

Your mind picked up nothing to sense, no sapient thought other then yours and Salila's within ear shot.

The tomb door was getting scratched by something, and the thumping of something hitting against it continued.

You couldn't hear anything from behind the door, just the sounds of frantic scratching and thumping.

"What's that noise? Is the ghost back?" Salila asked, the doll hiding near where you placed her gem.

You fly down, and cautiously open the door. A ploom of flame engulfs you, feeling rather nice on your body. Standing before you was a fire gecko, staring at your dumbly for a few seconds, before rushing into the tomb. It ran over and then perched itself on top of a burnt ashy corpse, then sat down, staring at the wall with zero thought in its head.

It just sat, staring endlessly, not moving except to breath.

You raise your eye brow, but shrug as you look out to the city. The gecko had left a burning path fire that had spread to some houses alongs its way to the tomb. Luckily no for seemed to have been made in the cemetery, but the city wa snow in high alert as it tried to combat the flames

>>
>>1732809
Alright, first thing I'd like to do is have the gecko go hunting in the sewers for us. That will keep it occupied and out of trouble for the nonce. Covering the geckos trail by setting up some more fires leading away from the cemetery also seems like a good idea.

Alrighty, the Gecko nods and runs off happily, dripping small bits boiling drool as it waddled off into the distance.

With that donec you looked out to the town as the sunset colored the sky a dark orange, and the smoke filled the sky.

Critical failure

Your diversion works well enough at first, your fire calling the cities aattention wonderfully. To bad that while you were making your escape from setting another fire spark, you bumped straight into a trio of Clerics, all of whom sported water iconography and seemed to have rain clouds following them.

There was a brief pause as you stared at them, and as they stared at you, before both of you moved. Your wings streatched out and we're prepared to rocket you into the sky, but a blast of water and ice struck you, sending you to the ground. I've formed on your wings, making it hard to move them.

[Taken 10 damage.]

Two of the clerics charge at you with golden maces, while the third sprints away, muttering a hymm under her breath.

A fire spark half the size of your torso forms, and quickly detonates in time for your called wind to blow.

>>1739458

The wind is strong, but nothing that couldn't be felt normally on a breezy day. It does nothing except push the flames a little so they spread a bit.

However the clerics charged straight into the attack, and thus were still affected by it.

One managed to bring up a shield of water, saving themselves from the blast as steam formed around them. Their partner however was caught in the flame before their shield could fully form, and were burned and pushed back.

[Dealt 10 damage to cleric B]

Cleric A quickly took their advantage, and charged forward, swinging their mace down and smashing it against your arm. You felt an intense fire burn away your flesh, and the mace smashing what it could.

[Dealth 15 holy damage and 5 normal damage. Healed 5 damage from before. Total damage received is 26]

Cleric B charges to join the fray as Cleric A prepared to push their attack.

You bash into the wall with all your weight and power, the weakened burning wood cracking under the impact and giving way partially. A chunk of the wall fell through, and the barrier now sagged inwards. However the wall was still partially standing.

An icicle stabbed into the wall next to you, alerting you to the nearing Clerics. On of them had spoken an hymn, and now with golden legs they charged forward at high speed, raising their mace into the air ready to strike.

You jump to the side at the last minute, watching the cleric try and fail to turn, and crash through the already weakened wall. Tumbling into the store, the Cleric was dazed as he tried to reorient himself.

The way into the store has been opened, but one of the clerics is within.

Diving in to the building with a fire spark in your grasp, you shove the contained explosion into the face of Cleric. With a wicked grin your saw their face turn pale, then burn away as the explosion consumed both you and him.

[Stunned Cleric A recieves 20 damage, is now aflame, receiving 15 damage a turn until the fires are put out.]

The fires consumed the shop, and quickly began to spread, the guttural screams of agony from the cleric joining the symphony of roaring fire and creaking wood.

You feel your wound sbegin to heal, yet the holy light that had scorned you still remained in your flesh, stunting the regrowing flesh in those areas.

The shop was on fire, with some of the merchandice already lost, however it was clear that this was an apohtecary. Three potions were within arms reach of you.

>Choose one?

With the strength of the abyss, your claws smash into the cleric's mace and knock it from their hands. Your hands burn from the holy light, but feeling your fingers dig into the flesh of the holy man helped ease the pain.

With a start, Cleric B tried to fall back, reaching for a vial of something that was tied to their belt. As they did this, Cleric A managed to weakly get onto the feet, the rain having put out the fire on them. They raised their Mace and charged towards you, letting out a roar.
