/qst/ - Quests

Welcome back to Anime Delinquent Quest!

Last time, our MC Nakai Youma met up with his best friend Hisato Imai, the smartest student at Maeda Academy, who has been with you ever since a super robot fighting incident at your last school. You told him about your fight, and he gave you the notes on today's classes. You also agreed to allow him to study you, as long as he didn't go to far.

After dealing with Fumo Sen, a rising star among the gangs in school, by forcing him into a fight with Chie Sakurada, your rival and the second strongest student in school, you headed on home to your mother at the Apartment Complex.

You said high to her, told her about your fight with the wooden golem summoned by that strange kid from last time, and decided to watch the News. From there you learned about how that dude is in fact a K-Pop Star. Specifically, he is the lead singer of the band "Do as Infinity".

That spurred you to head up to the roof of the apartment and train your legs since your arms are still out of commission. There you were able to unlock a new power! Now you can move faster than sound for short burst.

After this discovery, you went to a connivence store, where you fought a strange spider demon thing, and met up with Takashi Kazuma, the son of Yakuza Boss, Kei Kazuma. Who is also the kid you watched over all that time ago for Kei, who now has some kind of dog thing helping him fight.

Now back to the action!

Takashi is jumping in place after learning about who you are, eyes shining bright in adoration, "I can't believe it! I finally met you again Youma-senpai! This is the best day ever! I have so many things to tell you!"

You give the kid points for his optimism and excitement, but you're not sure if you should stick around. No doubt the police are on their way here, and you don't want to have to explain all of this to them.

Still, it couldn't hurt to speak to the kid a little bit. It has been a while since you last met.

>Rub him on the head. "Been a while, how ya been kiddo?"

>"We should probably get going before the police get here. I don't exactly have a 'great' track record with them."

>"Don't seem to have changed that much, squirt. Still a few inches shorter than me." Knock his hat off playfully.

>Rub him on the head. "Been a while, how ya been kiddo?"

Your hand tussles his spiky hair (how does he get it like that anyway), causing him to face the ground a bit.

He looks back up with that same smile, "Awesome! I've been doing everything you've said since the last time we met. Push ups, sit ups, treadmills, and even laps around our house. See!"

He lifts up his sleeve and tries to flex. He's getting some muscle, but it isn't much. At least compared to you and the people you've seen.

A bark draws both of your attentions to the dog who's still hanging around. Its currently sitting on its haunches just watching you.

Takeshi face palms, "Oh right. I almost forgot. Youma-senpai, this is Russ. He's my partner."

The dog yips at the word partner and its tail starts to wag.

Takashi looks nervous, feet kicking at the ground, "Oh—well—ya see." He sighs then reaches into his pocket and pulls out some kind of trinket on a string. It looks like a drill of sorts, but different somehow, "When I was walking around my house the other day, I found this on the floor. I picked it up, next thing I knew there was this bright flash of light and Russ was laying down right in front of me."

He puts the drill up and looks up at you embarrassed, "This all sounds crazy doesn't it?"

>"Not even close. You haven't even heard about the day I've had."

>"Well I did just help you kill a spider demon, so my definition of crazy might be somewhat different than yours."

"Oh right you—oh crap!" his hands go to his head in panic. He looks down at the floor again, seeming to remember the purple mist shit that still hasn't disappeared around his feet, "I completely forgot! I need to get rid of this miasma, now!"

He takes out that drill thing again while running to where that demon's corpse disintegrated. Russ goes with him, bounding after the kid.

He looks around quickly, before nodding and taking the drill in both hands.

You're about to question what he's doing, when he starts to glow a bright green.

"Hah!" with a shout the drill expands into a giant spiral of green energy. It forms around him in a circle, one end going towards Russ' mouth.

The canine grabs ahold of the rope off energy and starts running around Takashi. The spiral spins and spins, becoming a giant vacuum sucking away all of the purple mist. Soon enough, the mist is gone and the store is clean.

...Well, as clean as it's going to be,

Takashi drops to the ground breathing out a sigh of relief, "Good. That should do it."

"I'm just....a little tired. It should pass. I can still walk," he tries to stand up, but his legs are shaking. Not just that, but his eyes have bags under them when they didn't before, and you're just now noticing some scratches on his legs and arms.

>Pick him up and carry him over your shoulder

Whatever he did obviously took a lot out of him, and you can understand him trying to be strong. A man needs to be strong in order to face the adversities of life.

But right now...Takashi is a boy.

And he shouldn't have to worry about that. So, you grab him around the waste and hoist him over your shoulder. He starts to protest, but you ignore them.

You look down at Russ, thinking he might do something to you. He just nods at you, and starts moving towards the smashed open entrance to the store.

As you're walking, Takashi soon falls to sleep in your grasp. You reach the threshold of the store and stop when you see something out of the corner of your eye.

There on the pavement is a pack of cigarettes. Just lying there.

You look around to see if anyone is here. Nope, coast is clear, Takashi is asleep, and Russ has its back turned to you.

>Leave the smokes. You can "get" some later.

>Grab half of them. You don't need that many right now.

>Leave the smokes. You can "get" some later.

You ignore them. You can grab some another time. Right now, you've got more important things to deal with.

You briefly question if you should bring Takashi to your home, but shrug it off. He's a good kid, he'll probably call for someone to pick him up later.

It isn't long before you reach the door to your house, and for the first time you feel your stamina waning. You knock on the door sluggishly, barely registering your mother's voice and handing her Takashi.

You take your shoes off, and struggle towards your room. Once there, you zero in on your bed and collapse.

Everything that has happened is starting to catch up with you. Sleep is starting to seem REALLY good right now.

You will your eyes, and thus your body to not rest. You struggle against the coming darkness and exhaustion that is sleep.

It's a losing battle, but those are the ones worth fighting the most. However, your body is still too mangled to move. So you lay there on your bed, eyes wide open.

And so, you end up staying up for a good few hours. Until the sunlight crest over the horizon, letting its first few rays hit your face.

The minute they do, you sleep.

-------
>The Next Day.

PPPPAAAAIIIIINNNNN!!!!

Everything is PAIN!

Your arms feel like they got run over by fifty tanker trucks, and your legs feel even worse! You can't even move your so sore!

"I told you this would happen," your mother says while applying some salve to your arms and legs. It's cooling, but your skin is so sensitive it stings when she applies it.

Thankfully, you fall to sleep with your head facing the ceiling, so you can look at the side of your bed as you lay there.

Takashi is there to, head hung low with Russ at his side.

Your mother shakes her head, "That's it. You are not getting out of this bed anytime soon young man."

Your mother nods then walks out of the room, leaving you, Takashi, and Russ alone in the room.

Things are silent for a bit, Russ yawning and laying down one the floor. Takashi starts to scratch the dogs ears, while still looking over at you.

Takashi's eyes widen in surprise, "You really mean it, Youma-senpai."

You grin, "What? Did you think I wouldn't want to see you two or something?"

The boy looks down at the ground, "Well—it's just—you're in high school and me and my sister are still in middle—"

"It's no trouble, Takashi," you say, stopping his rambling, "I promise."

He looks at you for a time, before his smile comes back in full force, "Thank you! Mai-chan will be so happy that—"

You hear a knock on the apartment door. Your mother shouts, "I'll get it."

You hear her open up the door and then say, "Why hello there! And who might you be?"

You can't seem to hear the voice that replies, it's too muffled. But you do hear your mother say, "Oh Nakai-kun? Yes, he's right over here! I'm his mother Midori, a pleasure to meet you."

Your mom and the newcomer come to a stop in front of the door to your room. Your mother opens up the door and—oh for fuck's sake.

"Nakai-kun! Your 'rival' Sakurada-chan is here!"

He does have something akin to Spiral Power, however it's a bit more limited.

The Partner type magic is based on a relationship between the Master and their Partner. Both have their own sources of power, but that in and of itself is finite.

It is when they work together that they can truly let loose their power. To give an example, earlier if Russ wasn't there Takashi would've had a much tougher time dispelling that miasma. And if it was just Russ, he couldn't do much anyway.

They need each other if they want to use their power to their fullest. And as their bond grows, the more power they will get.

As for transformations.... that will come later. And it might not be Gurren Lagann. Pic Related.

No. No. Not happening. Never happening. If it ever happens, you will cut your own dick off before it goes any further!

You don't say as much to your mother, but you get the point across with your other tirade of denials. She just smiles and walks out the room.

So now, you're stuck in a room with Yakuza Gang Boss' first born son who admires you, and your most hated rival.

You're not whether to hate this day or love it.

"Youma-senpai, who is that lady?" Takashi ask, glancing over at Chie.

You see Chie's mouth twitch at the word "lady." An idea comes into your head, and you grin from ear to ear.

>"That's Chie. She got held back a couple years at Maeda. She's actually much older than she looks."

>"That's the ever ineffectual Head of the Disciplinary Committee, Chie Sakurada. I say ineffectual, cause she waste her time chasing me around instead of doing her job."

Takashi seems to take your words at face value, and thankfully you've successfully made Chie mad. She actually had to walk out of the room, and you could tell she wanted to punch one of your punching bags right in two.

However, Takashi says, "But, dad says that your school let's students go as long as they're strong enough. If she's your rival, she must be pretty strong. I can't see her as still in high school."

Ah, dang it. Thanks a lot Kei-san for filling the kid's head with facts while you were away.

You tell the kid to just forget it, and he nods. You spend sometime just talking about random things, before Takashi stands up and bows to you, "I should get going. My dad's probably worried about me. Thank you for carrying me here Youma-senpai."

"No problem. Take care, kid. Make sure you don't slack off in your training, " you say with a wink.

Takashi beams and runs out of the room.

Your mother comes in a few seconds later, carrying a tray filled to the brim with eggs and other breakfast food, "Here you are Nakai-kun!"

You thank your mother and lift up your arms. They still hurt like hell, but the medicine has numbed it to the point where you can at least eat. You start to dig in and your mother watches you with that same smile on her face.

As the sound of you eating drags on, something comes into your mind. It's a question that you've been meaning to ask your mom, but never got around to it.

Before you can think on it further you blurt it out.

>"Mom, how'd you meet dad?"

>"What was life like before you had me, Mom?"

>"Mom, who was my dad?"

>"Mom, who was my dad?"

Almost the instant you say it, you regret it.

You don't regret asking it, after all who wouldn't want to know who their dad was/is?

No, what you regret is the look on your mother's face. At first it's one of shock, but beneath that in her eyes, you can see a slight twinge of hurt.

You immediately try to take it back, but your mom raises up a hand, "No. It's fine, Nakai-kun. I knew you would ask this sooner or later. I was just surprised is all."

She sighs deeply, then her eyes take on that same look you remember she did when she read you stories back when you were a kid, "Let's see, how do I start." She turns and leans back against the wall, her hands in her lap.

Then she takes a deep breathe and begins....

"Your father was....a determined man. Whenever he set his mind to something, nothing stopped him from getting it.

The public however, they loved him. He was something of a folk hero to them. Always moving forward and doing whatever he could to ensure everyday people could live without fear.

He was kind, gentle, and caring, but he wasn't exactly a "model citizen". He did what he wanted when he wanted, and damned be the consequences. The people in charge, the ones who ran this city long before you were born, wanted him dead. He was considered threat to both the security of the citizenry, as well as one to their authority.

We actually met for that exact reason, but that's a story for another time.

But listen to me ramble on. You probably wanted his name didn't you. Well then, here you are.

Your father, my husband, his name is—

"Hmmm," a figure stands on the moon, foot planted on the skull of a some kind of mechanical creation. He turns around, "It has happened."

"I know that," another figure, this one taller and more well built says as he rips another robot in half.

"Will you go then?" the third figure is standing, watching over the blue rock that is earth with both arms crossed.

The second figure grunts, then steps out into the moonlight. He looks up at the earth, specifically at Iwahama to the east. His fist clench.

"You do not have to go," says the first figure.

"Yes I do, I made a promise."

"Hmph! I told you that woman was a weakness. You should've killed her when you had the—"

"Enough," the third figure says quieting the first down, "It is his decision."

The second figure looks down at the moon's surface, then nods his head. He looks up at Iwahama.

"It is time to meet my son," Yukinori Youma says, as he gets ready to jump to earth.

Training ideas from last thread:

Manhandling your flesh with your bare hands. Increases grip strength and flesh durability. Isn't subject to diminishing returns because the more durable your muscles, the more your grip strength will grow, and the stronger your grip, the more your muscle strength will grow. Basically, since you're the one both dishing it out and taking it, your ability to do both will continue to grow without limits or diminishing returns.

Keep cracking your joints. Knuckles, shoulders, back, neck, etc. Increases flexibility, healing, and strength. Operates on the same principle as above; by putting two of your physical traits in direct conflict with one another, both grow.

Hold your breath for short stretches during intensive exercise. Trains muscle efficiency by restrictions all oxygen, therefore all exercise becomes anaerobic. As a result, trains your body's ability to flush out lactic acid and other anaerobic byproducts. Thus is important, since the more powerful your muscles become, the more byproducts they'll produce during anaerobic exercise. It'll let you recover from exhaustion faster.

Ration your breath for long periods of exercise. Trains endurance, and also helps increase your red blood cell count. This let's you get more oxygen out of every breath, allowing you to increase your oxygen intake. This is important, since the more powerful your muscles, the more oxygen they'll use during aerobic exercise. It'll increase the amount of time it takes for you to exhaust yourself.

Close your eyes during training. Will improve your ability to utilize your other senses. Do this during activities that are heavily eyesight-reliant for maximum benefit, such as dodging, looking for lost items, etc. Don't do this while driving, however, only during relatively safe activities.

Rapidly alternate between shining bright light in your eyes and closing them. Will decrease the amount of time required to adjust to new light levels. Will also increase resistance to bright light. Gradually work your way up to staring at the sun, then through a magnifying glass, then a laser. This approach can also be used for hearing. Eventually, you'll be immune to flashbangs.

Try to read distant signs or listen to distant conversations. This will improve your eyesight and hearing. Also do this while shining light into the corner of your eyes or while in a loud environment in order to train your ability to ignore certain stimuli in order to focus on others.
>>
>>1709449
Aye, we need to train endurance.
That ??? is bothering the hell out of me.
>>
>>1709455
Let's kill two birds with one stone: more endurance means we get more out of every training session, since breaks will take up less time, and we'll unlock the ???. Let's start out by jogging in place for as long as possible, and then gradually work our way up to running in circles with lifting weights held horizontally. Good endurance training for upper and lower body.

>>1709418
Seriously, if our first encounter isn't a manly cross counter punch or our fists colliding, I'll be mad.

It's early in the afternoon when you can finally move again. You do a few test exercises to make sure your muscles are still intact. The answer is a resounding yes, as you easily start beating your punching bag without breaking a sweat.

You briefly think about trying out your Unrelenting Force, but that's when the pain comes back. Looks your body isn't quite ready for that again yet. Still, at least you can fight again.

As for that speed thing that you did (you really need to come up with a name for that), looks like your legs have no complaints when it comes to that. You nod in satisfaction, and turn towards you the door to your room.

You open it up and tell your mother that you're feeling much better, so you're head to school. Being late is better than being absent after all. She tells you, "Ok, but don't push yourself too hard. You're not completely healed yet."

You promise you won't and get to your front door. You're putting on your shows when a familiar shadow falls over you.

Chie stands next to you arms at her side, "Hurry up. I want to at least be able to catch some of my classes."

>"Then you should've stayed at school."

>"Shouldn't you be there, messing with other people instead of me?"

>"Then you should've stayed at school."

You finish tying your shoes, and leave out the door. You try your best to get a head start on Chie, making sure she can't walk next to you so people don't get the wrong idea. Thankfully, she's content to just yell at your back while the both of you head to Maeda.

She follows behind and answers, "If I were to let one student get away with truancy, then I have failed as Head of the Disciplinary Committee."

"But don't students skip school everyday?" you ask, working some kinks out of your right shoulder, "Shouldn't you be off messing with them, and not me?"

You hear her laugh behind you, a sound that grates on your ears, "You forgot, Youma. I am apart of the Discipline Committee. That means that I have like minded individuals who assist me in task. For example; I left the school in Shiro-san's capable hands while I went to check on you."

Shiro, that explains her bravado.

Shrio Ikari, aka "That fucker who never opens his eyes", is one of Chie's biggest watch dogs. He seems to have this strange ability to know when students are breaking the rules at all times, no matter where they are.

Chie isn't the only pain the ass that you've had to deal with when it came to your...."free spirited nature."

You've met plenty of other assholes apart of that hit squad of hers that have tried to bring you in or punish you. Some were good fights, others you just had to intimidate into leaving you alone.

Shiro though, he was different. He didn't come up to you and threaten you. Nor did he immediately attack you on sight.

Instead, he walked up to you and said, "Excuse me? Would you mind not pressuring that kid for money? It would really make my job easier if you did."

It was then that you formed a mutual respect with the guy. He understood that your hatred for authority meant you wouldn't become a model citizen anytime soon. While you understood that he was doing his job, trying to make Maeda a better place.

You can respect that.

And so, the both of you have had an unspoken agreement. You do your best not to cause too much trouble, and he'll leave you alone.

Good thing too, as you come upon the gate to Maeda you watch as Shiro himself slams a student's head into the ground. He puts his knee on the poor sap's back, as he looks up at both you and Chie.

At least, you're pretty sure he's looking at you. His eyes never seem to be open for some reason. He smiles and says, "Ah, Youma-san, it's good to see you. I trust Sakurada-senpai's mission was a success?"

Shiro nods, then slams the student back down on the ground when he tries to get up, "Well then you should be going. You've got gym class right now, and you wouldn't want to be any later, would you?"

You shake your head and walk over to the gym. It's an easy walk, especially since the school ground is mostly empty since everyone is in their class.

Well, easy except for the fact that CHIE IS STILL FOLLOWING YOU!

"Will you go away already?!" you say increasing your pace, "I'm at school aren't I?!"

"I have gym as well," is the straight faced answer you get.

Son of a bitch!

Ah, well. Maybe you'll get to bean her with a dodgeball today.

You open the door to the gym and are greeted with a row of thirteen other student standing there. Their heads swivel towards you as you and Chie enter the room. You even see old Fumo there. eyes burning at you while a hand touches a new bruise under his eye.

You're just about to walk over when you hear a voice that echoes through the whole gym.

"Well, look who decided to show up!"
>>
Kakuzo Ukiyo.

The PE Teacher.

Or as the students call him, the Drill Sergeant.

Rumors say he used to be in military, fighting during the Chinese Occupation war. However, he left once the fight was over and came to Meada. No one really knows why, but his military training shows in his teachings.

He's one of the major reason's why you're glad you've done so many push ups over the years.

He takes long strides across the gym floor, until he's standing right in front of you and Chie. You're tall, but Ukiyo dwarfs you by a good few inches.

He looks at both you and Chie, then laughs heartily, "Both of you are late to my class. You know what that means right?"

>"We get to play dodgeball?"
>"It means I get off scot-free because Chie can vouch for the reason of my tardiness?"

"Partially right, maggot!" Ukiyo leads you into the center of the gym. Then he places you on one side of the half circle, the east side to be exact.

"We will be playing dodgeball, but to be honest, I don't give a fuck what the reason for your tardiness was! The important thing is that you're here now."

He stomps over to the corner of room with the dodgeball container. He lifts the entire thing with one arm and walks over to the west side of the gym. There he dumps them out at the rest of the classes feet.

He turns to you, a manic smile on his face, "The next thing is, it's going to be you versus the rest of the class!"

If he's expecting a reaction out of you, you don't give him one. Chie however rushes over to his side, seemingly furious, "Ukiyo-senpai! This is completely unfair! While Youma does have a record of bad behavior, that is no reason to put him in an unwinnable situation!"

Ukiyo looks at Chie with that same smile which cause her to back down a bit. He laughs again, "Oh? You think so, well then in that case...."

He looks over to you, arms wide open, "You should thank your bitch over here Youma! Because she's convinced me to give you a choice in this matter!"

He holds up a hand and starts to count, "One, you can do this like a man and fight the entire class on your own, including Sakurada over here! Two, you can beg Ms. Discipline over here to help you out! Or three, you can pick one of the other students to help! What's it gonna be?"

This guys is starting to get on your nerves. Your fist clench, and you take a deep breath before answering.

>"I'll take you all on, bring it!"

Literally the entire room goes silent with your challenge. Most of the student's faces are slack-jawed in awe. Even Fumo Sen looks at you with a a gaze that says, "This man wants to die." You see the same look one Chie's face.

Ukiyo, however, starts to laugh again.

And laugh.

And laugh.

Until he stomps the ground, causing four of the dodgeball to fly up into the air, "The balls on this one! Alright maggot let's do this! First to get hit three times, loses!"

He backhands all of the balls through the air and sends them careening at you.

You get into a stance ready for the assault.

You move as fast you can, but not fast enough.

You're able to block the first two balls, but the third one slips through your guard. You have to almost bend over backwards to make sure that you don't get hit.

You right yourself, and take stock of the situation.

Ukiyo still has three dodgeballs at his feet waiting for use. He doesn't seem tired in the slightest, but you can tell he's getting confident. You may be able to use that against him.

You have one in your hand and seven at your back. You could run back to grab some more, but that means you'll have to turn your back to Ukiyo.

What now?

No choice. Here goes.

You feint a through at Ukiyo, hoping to throw his gaze off you to give yourself a chance.

It works. He picks up one of the balls on the ground and tries to use it to block a shot that isn't coming.

You waist now time, turning around and booking it towards the seven balls on the floor.

You skid your way to the center of them, and stare back over towards Ukiyo. He's getting ready to throw his, but you've got the upper hand.

Time to give this guy a taste of his own medicine. You throw the ball you have in your hand, but don't stop there.

In swift succession, three more follow the first aiming straight at the teacher. The first ball gets shot out of the air by Ukiyo's own, but the other two skim the top of the other two. This knocks Ukiyo's to the ground, while yours continue on their path.

Your connect with that loud whacking sound dodgeballs are known for. They fall to the ground with silence.

The students all gasp in awe, while you smile with pride. You got the first two hits.

That outta—huh?

Ukiyo is still laughing? In fact he's laughing harder than last time.

He stares up at you, this time with his teeth showing in his grin, "Good job, maggot! Looks like I need to step it up."

Faster than you can see, he throws the first ball at his feet toward you. Rather than throw the second directly at you, he tosses it at the wall to your left.

It bounces off and heads right for you!

You decide to try something fancy. Maybe you can direct the ball at the other wall, and right back at him.

Unfortunately, there was more force in the second ball than you thought.

The first one is easy to block, and it just rolls past your feet. The second one, blows right through your defense hitting you in the shoulder. You grunt, but stay on your feet.

You look back over to Ukiyo, who's just standing there. He's out of ammunition.

Now's your chance!

You grit your teeth, take the ball in your hand and throw.

You throw with as much might as your damaged arms can muster, watching the ball as it flies right towards the teacher.

Ukiyo holds out one hand, and catches it. It pushes him back a few feet, but it hardly makes him flinch.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth right? You let your body relax, however you also notice something that you didn't before.

Your legs feel, different. Like they're stronger than ever now. Almost like you could do that thing you did on the rooftop without as much pain now.

Ukiyo turns to the rest of the students, who are talking amongst themselves about the fight, "Alright maggots! Break time's over! Drop and give twenty sets of a hundred push ups!"

No one complains and just drops to the floor. You walk over, but Ukiyo holds up a hand, "Not you, Youma. You get a pass since you were able to keep up with. Not many can do that."

You're not sure exactly how long you go for.

Minutes?

Hours?

You lose track of time as you just keep on going. Lifting that weight up and down, up and down.

You lose all sense of reality, everything is drowned out by your workout. The only thing that matters is getting gains right now.

In the end, it takes Hisato standing over you and going, "Nakai-san! You've gotta help me! She's after me!"

You're broken out of your stupor, placing the bar bell into the grooves again. Your body feels....better. More solid. Like you could withstand way more damage than before.

You test this by punching your chest a few times, and being rewarded with something that sounds like iron.

What the—

IRON FLESH UNLOCKED!

Your thoughts are interrupted when Hisato jumps behind you, "Hide me man, she's coming for me!"

"I'm as surprised as you are!"

"I know you're here Hisato~. Come out, come ou— Oh Nakai-san." A girl that you could swear is a freshman, but know in your heart is a junior, skips towards you pigtails trailing behind her.

She stops in front of you, placing her hands behind her back, "Long time no, see, Nakai-san?"

"Yeah, Miso-san. Long time no see."

This is Miso Imai.

So, our parents sent me to punish him!"

She kisses you on the arm and skips towards the door, "Thank you for the help! Bye!"

You wave goodbye to her. Once she's out of the door you turn around to Hisato. The guy's hand is on his chest, rising and falling with his breath.

You stare at him with your arms crossed. He says, "Thanks, bro. I don't I could've survived if she caught me."

"What did you do?" you might as well get right to it.

He holds up his hands defensively, "Before we get into that, I have a surprise for you." He reaches behind his back, smiling reaching up to his ears.

You raise an eyebrow, then both in surprise at what he pulls out from behind his back.

"This," he says holding it up with a twinkle in his eyes, "is what I call 'The Kinetic Force Testing Gauntlet!' TKFTG for short!"

"Ok," you say looking it up and down, "What's it for?"

Meant to spoiler that. Oh well!
>>
fuck, sorry, i thought we were playing a delinquent and not a pussy.

Plus it'd chill the crazy out of her a bit and our bro would obviously give anything to to lose the sis.
>>
>>1713612
Nah
Chie is obviously best girl.

We're a delinquent but that doesn't mean we don't have a sense of manly honor. If he really wanted her gone, he could ask, but I don't think its as bad as you think

If it's between tsun disciplinary girl and yan bro little sister? I'd take the first every time.
>>
>>1713663
Well there's always mom.

>>1713670
This is not Background character quest.

You take that back.

Also, Iron Flesh sounds interesting. The fact that hammering our chest makestrel a ringing noise rather than a muffled thud makes me wonder if it reduces kinetic impacts by converting some of the energy into sound. Ideally, past level 5 it would become something more along the lines of Vibranium Flesh, where a big chunk of physical impacts would just get reflected back in the form of deafening sound waves, which would disorient opponents. Obviously a stretch, but hey, who knows.

Being honest, I was planning to have it act like Zoro from One Piece.

But, for future reference, if you ever get a Power to Max Level you will have two choices:

1. Leave it as is, which is the maximum level and just have that power at max.

2. Evolve the power into something new, but have to start from square one with a higher level cap.

To give an example: Faster than Sound once it hits max level will basically let you move like a low-tier Flash power. You can move faster than Sound indefinitely, but that's it.

Or, you can evolve it into Faster than Light. Which will make so you can, obviously, move faster than light. Problem is, you will need to start at level one again, and this time the level cap is ten.

A delinquent who won't even steal a pack of cigs, goes to school everyday and is nice to everyone except for the tsun girl
>>
>>1714318
>Faster than light
>tfw you can just put on an EVA suit and go to distant star systems
>>
>>1714554
We go to school for our momma anon. Everyone else is pretty much fair game though.
>>
>>1714573
Also, people need to remember that our parents are fucking OP as hell.
>>
Honestly, I am pretty disappointed that Anons are starting to play this like every other quest MC (Snarky Nice Guy).
>>
>>1714318
Cool.
Follow-up question: if we choose to leave it as is, can we change our mind later on and evolve it into something new?
>>
>>1714940

Sure.

>>1714318

Also forgot my Trip here.
>>
>>1714879
Same
Shit gets repetitive, can't have a mean streak or make choices slightly altering from what anons think is morally right or some other shit
>>
My god, We should stick our dick in crazy to make our dick stronger.
>>
>>1714879
I don't see what has changed from previous threads desu. MC is honorabru manly as it was played before. He wasn't a hardass with the kid but that's because he's like his big brother, besides that nothing seemed that different. He even challenged the scary af PE teacher, so no complains so far.
>>
>>1715146
Except the vibe I'm getting from the character is less 'Legendary Delinquent' and more 'Misunderstood Student.'

Nothing so far has really sold me that our character is supposed to be some kind of terrifying figure when the only person we've so much as talked back to was Chie, who keeps hounding on our shit for apparently no reason but anons want to waifu her so the worst they'll ever actively be is slightly snarky.

When we met K-Pop, we immediately apologized for seemingly drinking his soda before he sent a Golem on us, and as for the PE teacher, well he's fucking Kenpachi and anons love that motherfucker and wanted the GAINZ we would have gotten from challenging him.
>>
>>1715210
I think we're going for misunderstood student and the legendary delinquent part came by accident, so I dont get what you're complaining about. That we're not delinquents? Well I guess the "attendance record" and beating up yakuzas because they bothered mom should've tipped you off enough to not look forward for a guy that beats people up for lunch money.
>>
>>1715224
The quest is called Anime Delinquent Quest, so yeah I'd expect the character to be a fucking delinquent.

>not look forward for a guy that beats people up for lunch money.
We were literally doing that in the flashback to introduce Shiro
>>
>>1714879
to be fair i'm legitimately waiting for when our dad shows up and we try to punch his lights out only to get our shit pushed in.
>>
>>1714554
I think we're also a bit of a tsundere
>>
>>1715146
>>1715210

Yeah, sort of like Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High School or Sakigake!! Otokojuku vibe.
