>Whats up guys? Sorry for my repeated absences.Ive been in and out of the hospital repeatedly, dozing off high dose painkillers and enjoying the lovely fact that I have but 1 eye left. Last time on undead quest we began getting bolder, attacking Majadin merchants upon the road and slaughtering them. After creating a Winged Aberration from their Leader we then spread our sights further, recklessly doing battle with a scouting party of Kardielheim marauders. Unfortunately their leader had quite a edge on us due to being a shapeshifting berserker and the Ghoul and Wick were lost in battle. Help me.."The cool, calculating mind ponders for a moment before returning"At once master. Remain in the tunnels"Smiling like a grisly nightmare you use your claws to carve out a small alcove, burying yourself in the cool earth. A few hours pass as you drowse, occasionally picking free fat worms and insects to stave off your hunger. Eventually you feel and hear footsteps approaching. "Well it can be said about you three... You all have one talent in common. One... Thing... I know you'll all be good at." Your sharpened bone claws drive through the skull of one of the pudgy, sweaty young men. Closing your fist inside his body you grip his spine, using him as a hammer to crush the other against the wall, blood spattering from his crushed nose and lips. A second blow flattens his nearly empty head against a support pole. The last, a fat young man with a spattering of acne across his piglike face looks to the impassive Skerath in confused terror before he attempts to draw a dull, rusty dagger. It never clears the sheath as you impact him, the bones of his arms and shoulders breaking as you tighten your grip. Wrenching his head to the side you sink your fangs into his blubbery throat. Thick, hot blood courses down your throat and your eyes dilate at the rush as your body begins cracking and shifting, bones and muscles bonding and shifting to their original shapes while the gaping rents in your skin seal shut. You lose yourself in the meal, shoveling clawfuls of warm, dripping meat into your mouth. Your belly distends slightly and you belch in contented happiness as your body regains its power. The Risen tucks into a trio of the corpses, feeding like a ravenous beast as it crams handfuls of meat into its mouth with such force its throat bulges. Black blood drips fork its lips as it eats with a furious hunger. The Aberration swoops down and grabs a pair, coiling long tendrils of bone and muscle around them before pulling them apart and sucking them meat into a mouth like some giant toothy worms. Bones drop randomly from its midsection as the meal is processed.A pair of the zombies grab the final pair of corpses and tuck into them while the others watch forlornly. >>1693007Hmm I would second this one, but lets let her have more choice. I want a servant that CHOSE to be with us, I mean not like it matters but that will be a huge psychological tool in the future. Since unlike Whick she will be studying Necromancy and may find a way to break our control some day. It would be useful to have her want to be our servant in the first place. So basically let her tool around as a mortal for a while if she wants and offer to turn her into a Revenant when she has "Become Prepared and Skilled Enough" basically make her earn it by some arbitrary poorly defined metric.
>>1693040Ah, the old earn this banana sticker method. I like it. Though if negotiations break down go for the tried and true. Plus minions who disobey become food. Well, the skeleton probably would fuck us up at this point.

All of the special snowflake monsters, like the Bone Warden and the Aberration, will belong to us.I also want to remake the Ghoul and Revenant. Bone and stone traps, vertical shafts, caves filled with water or even poison gas.
>>1694233>alter raise thrallsUnless mistaken we still have our ghoul's body sans head and hands, as well as parts of wick (arm). I suggest putting them together with a bit of fleshcraft and necromancy. Worst case scenario is another zombie. Best case, we get some of the upgrades that went into those two. >>1696840You've worked something wonderful here anon. Continue the feed on and grow more and more and moreAnd so begins a new legend: the one of Thrane: Devourer of Gods, Lord of Endless Night, The Bloodletting Beast, The Unending Hunger. A mere vampire that became a being that has killed gods by the thousands in his hunger
>>1696867sounds like a decent 10,000 year plan. good thing Thrane's immortal
>>1696867You've been bringing up the Antediluvians, and I think that is the most appropriate for what Thrane will /eventually/ become. Maybe we could become like Tzimisce; a fleshy fungal monstrosity burrowing and feeding upon the very planet itself like a gigantic parasitic infection. A God or World-Eater is something so far off as to be inconceivable, but if Cursed ever does a second vamp/undead quest run, we could always use Thrane as a forbidden deity of those monsters that hunt in the dark. Also, for those who have no idea what we're talking about;> Vampire: the Masquerade, by White Wolf, is a part of the World of Darkness series. There is also Changeling: the Lost (the other quest present in /qst/ by Vox, called Cinderella Sanction, is set in Changeling), Mage: the Awakening, and several others.> The Antediluvians are the ancestors of all modern vampire clans, and as the name suggests, were sired (specifically by Caine, Father of Murder) before the Flood.> The Antediluvians are practically god-like in power, and are as far beyond comprehension to an elder vampire as they are to humans.Insofar as eating everything in sight, I think we should show a bit of patience. If we can eventually blood-bind those mortal men and women of power and influence, we can begin using humans like cattle. Hunt down and destroy those other monsters and beasts that plague the land, and the area will become much more prosperous and attract more people. Insure that there is food and healing aplenty for the mortals, and they will breed and grow with enthusiasm. Devour those who are weak, or stupid, or troublesome. Those who show excellence, whether in prodigious skill or natural talent can receive our dark blessing, as a reward for their superiority. Also, in regards to this >>1696840 the picture attached also seems like a possible form it can take. When it is 'asleep', it is nothing but a shifting, slithering lake of flesh. But when it wakes?Death and destruction on a biblical scale.
>>1696867>Nom an entire country>Eat literal gods>Get rid of a colossal ball of burning gasWe're a vampire, not a demigod. Probably years of IRL time will pass before these are options.>Travel to otherworldly planesThis is much more like it. Find our way to the greatest centre of learning in the country (probably a mage's college) and bully the nerds into showing us how to open passageways to areas more magically inclined. We could make a deal with a devil, enslave a Fey lord to our will, travel through the ether - we wouldn't need any stinkin' manflesh!Speaking of which, Cursed, are we going with the D&D cosmology (16 outer planes, four elements, Feywild/Shadowfell etc.) or do you have your own?
>>1696911Learning/eating/taking from the Fae would be interesting and quite rewarding, but would also carry significant risk. In their own realm, the Fae are like smaller divinities, and can do things that make reality seem like a game of pretend. For example, if we managed to fight and kill a High Fae in our world, we might eat its heart and gain a resistance to magic or maybe even sunlight, but also take on its weakness to cold iron or salt. Now, demonology seems like the way to go. Beyond petty morality, the monstrous MC can provide a valuable exchange in return for a greater demon's aid; human souls. It would be likely that normal souls mean nothing to a demon, and instead the entity may require the essence of powerful or holy individuals, like a mage lord or a blessed paladin. In exchange for such prizes, the demon might offer boons of service, the summoning of lesser demons, unnatural powers and secrets, and perhaps even protection from the hated sun.
>>1697093let's not get ahead of ourselves
>>1697136Well, now that we have an academic necromancer on our side we could potentially pass to realms beyond this one. We'd start out small at first, of course - a scouting party into a lower plane (assuming D&D cosmology), kill an imp or two, nothing major - it'll be a long time before we can get cosy with major powers.
>>1697165sophie's not an academic necromancer though. >"I was a mages apprentice in Ceralise. I was... Bored and began searching out the... Dark arts?we don't know what kind of magic she was studying or how advanced she was, but her necromancy should be self tought

I'll be honest, I don't know why people are so fussed about boosting intelligence. We're the master here and they can't do much without our command anyway - we can do all the thinking for them. Best to use them as mindless attack dogs, since Cursed said you need souls to give magic. Best to boost their damage, I think. Then we stand a better chance against things that need to die quickly, like werewolves or paladins or the shapeshifter that absolutely pwned us earlier.
>>1697664Oh, I know. However, they do need intelligence for other things - like remember that they can dodge and block attacks rather than just tanking the hits.More intelligent minions mean that they also won't be tricked so easily, or miss details that an aware person would pick up. They're still thralls bent to our will, but its not as if we're constantly in their heads, guiding their actions. If you want that, then you should support that mind-link that was discussed earlier.

I figured that upgrading their intelligence would make them more capable, and obviously our Risen is the smartest out of our minions (barring poor Wick, may he rest in pieces). After this, I think we should give something special to our boy. If we can come up with a combination of necromancy and flesh-crafting, we can give him some potent regeneration or maybe instead we can pursue some elemental magic and give him resistance to fire. It's worth looking into, at the very least.

>>1697935Actually no, if we're going to have a personal attack dog I want it to literally be a dog. Can we instruct the Risen telepathically to look for a dog or wolf to bring back? (Dead or alive) bear, or other carnivorous animal works too.For improved ghoul, changing vote to speed. We're traveling in packs lately, need to be able to keep up with each other, AND, speedy zombies power rises exponentially.Compare how difficult it is to deal with zombos in 28 Days Later to The Walking dead. I don't watch either, but you know hehelol :))))))
Ayyooo and speaking of this beasty stuff again: Cursed, would it be possible to control a LIVE animal (preserving its fertility), modify it, then make it reproduce, passing off our upgrades to its spawn?
>>1697958What, you mean like ghouled beasts from VtM? I think we'd need to work on our blood magic and potentially telepathy before that kind of thing would work.Though, you do bring up a good idea; we should put more points into our shape-shifting ability, so that we can travel through human territory in disguise. No one would think twice about seeing a cat, dog, or rat wandering the streets, or seeing a crow or bat up above.
>>1697967i want a nice woofer we can grow into a skelly-cerberus who shoots different elemental magics out of each of his three maws
>>1697911Very well: if not our companion then it can be the main damage-dealer of a group, like the first ghoul was. When it's with the Risen he's in command - the rest of the troops take the brunt of the pain.
>>1697958Our Dark Master ability lets us do just that. But yeah, as time goes by we could have a group of werewolf shock troops. It would take too long for them to grow, though.
>>1697999You think we could make something akin to Sarin or Mustard Gas using alchemy?
>DamagePeeling back the corpses skin and muscle you work directly on the skeleton at first. Crimson energy runs like liquid along your claws as bone flows like water. You direct the fascinated Sophie as she cuts away bone and tendon from the donor corpses, using your own blood and the power of blood magic to graft and fuse the separate pieces into a cohesive whole. The entire upper torso of one donor is used, the amalgamation upon the table growing more complex. The influence of your magic upon it is evident even without the spark of unlife. The body is mutating as you work, the skull becoming bestial, the skin ripping under the pressure as the bone beneath elongates. The mouth fills with jagged fangs of ivory and cracked bone, wide enough to bite off a mans head.Turning your attention to its musculature you graft thick chunks of tissue onto its chest, back, thighs and arms. Sealing the foreign tissue with your own blood you smile as the seams hiss and smoke before twitching as one cohesive whole. The hands and fingers and feet you lavish some extra care upon, extending the bone into massive, curved talons of razor sharp bones as sturdy as swords. Infusing the blades with thick black droplets of your own blood you smile proudly as the edges warp and shimmer, adopting a wicked serration while retaining their razor sharpness.Laying the sheets of skin back upon the monstrosity you seal them back to its body with your blood, the seams bubbling with black mist as they join seamlessly. Biting your wrist you release a thick flow of black blood across the creatures face and mouth. Standing back you admire yours and Sophie's work as it takes its first breathes and steps into unlife. A long bodied, bestial figure, pal skin as thick as leather armor. A bared skull for a face, eyes glowing with a deep violet glow. Fangs like ivory daggers jut from its extended jaws. Its body bulges with thick muscle from nightmarish head to clawed feet. Its centerpiece is the two pairs of long, muscular arms, tipped by four, foot long curved serrated claws as sharp as razors. >>1698371I don't see what the bear could use them for - I propose we keep their bones and let Sophie and her lot use them to set up some defences, just in case a vampire hunter or something catches wind of us and follows us home.
>Raise Bear. Does count as a minion however. Its a fucking bear. Not a poodle.>Ripper fed a juicy deer.>Sophie appreciates the fresh Venison As the Ripper tears into the fat, juicy flesh of the deer, you inspect the bloodied corpse of the bear. The Risen proudly watches as you inspect the massive beast, rents in its deep brown hide, claws like black knives, eyes glassy in the final fury of its death. Some of the zombies sport deep rents in their thick hides and one has a slowly healing chunk torn from its thigh. You bite the tip of a finger and dab the dripping black fluid into the deep stabs and slashes, sealing the muscle with the hiss of boiling flesh. Satisfied that the creature won't rip itself apart you bite deeply into your wrist, dripping thick, violet tinged black blood into its maw. The bear twitches and growls as its body is reanimated, light slowly returning to its eyes.It rolls to its feet, shaking its massive head and stretching as its body finishes the final changes in unlife. >14. Release the hounds!>14. For some reason they are very slow.As the men scatter, you grin viciously, taking off like a shot with the Risen and Ripper both heading off in different directions. These men hope to outrun death. They will not.You bowl men over, flinging them bodily into the air or into tombstones, bone crunching audibly as they slump, blood trickling from their wounds. Heavy blows from your massive fists snap spines and legs, flinging the men you encounter like toys.Screams echo from around the area as the Risen and Ripper find their own prey. The Risen sheaths his blade and instead uses his fists and feet to shatter bone and rattle skulls. The Ripper deftly and expertly uses its razor sharp claws like a surgeons blade, shearing through tendon and muscle to leave the men helpless as babies. So accurate are its strikes the wounds hardly bleed, the men remaining fully conscious and alert while their bodies become prisons.By the time the hunt is over you have captured ten of the guards, only two escaping your clutches. With Dawn coming you quickly four of the men and drag them back to the crypt, your minions bringing the rest.Retreating into the cool darkness with several tendrils of smoke curling from your skin you regard your living captives, many of them broken and insensate but some regarding you with terror in their glazed eyes.Your Zombie squad and Urziel have returned empty handed. You ask, gesturing broadly around. The men put their heads together for a moment before nodding. The phrase "quicker death" reaches your ears more than once. The senior Guard clears his throat before speaking up"The town.. Uh... The town is led by Mayor Hurod. Hes a pious man, tired of the death and chaos brought on by the gangs like that Black Cat bastard. He and Father Turelios and the Bishop run the town... The lawful side of town anyway. The Bishop is the guard-commander, an ex-cleric from the kings army. The town guard has between two to three hundred men depending on how many they muster. The town has about a thousand people altogether. Maybe two if you count the villages around here, CrowsFork, BlackWood, Harks Crossing and a few other hamlets."You nod, absorbing the newfound knowledge. The guardsmen don't seem too brave despite their piousness."And the King? The Kardelheim raiders? What of them?"Again the heads go together, again the muffled mumbling before they nod, the same guard clearing his throat."King Thedric is the ruler of Islavind. Hes young but a good ruler, kind and just. A seasoned warrior despite his years. He returned only three years past from the border wars with those Ceralise scum. The army he brings will sweep those barbarians back into the north. Nearly twenty thousand men can be mustered at any time.... I hope it is enough... >>1702594Supported but suggest modification. This goes out to the collective. We are who would serve. We fleshcraft them into superior men, perhaps borderline monsters. Why would they serve us? Because we can do what the leaders have not; rule. We can in time subvert the black cat, we can replace the tired old father, and we can take this town's petty militia and in the coming time, with potions and patience, alliances, we can create a small but vicious force. They could embrace our mad dream, willingly forsake their humanity and freedom to protect their town and kin.Our cost is so small, so minor. Ok im altering my own rules. Souls are worth twice their "weight" in bodies. So 2 souls will pay for 4 bodies worth of upgrade. The cost rises with how powerful/ large the buyer is. 1 becomes 2, 2 becomes 4. Then 6 then 8 and so on until you must consume entire cities to feed your hunger

>>1703848What about our bone man? He needs magic.
>>1703932Setgash is our skeleton monster
>>1703848Good idea - except a few changes:>Ripper gets plague magic - it could be a useful bargaining technique, in the realm of "do as I say or you're getting syphilis".>Thrane gets domination instead of blood magic - we could use some more control over the living, allows us to take on foes that we don't have the manpower to deal with, like this army of Kardiel raiders.>Risen gets infernal magic - opens up a new realm (literally) of possible interaction: we could make deals with fiends bigger and badder than us for favours, servants and abilities in exchange for souls.
>>1704507I'm fine with those changes, the ripper can make a haemoragic disease that makes someone who contracts it to start bleeding from everywhere:Eyes, mouth, ears, nose, worse for open wounds, if there's a spit for blood to come out. Then blood will come out of it
>>1704528I think for the purposes of debilitating an army it would also be great to fatigue them - give them insomnia, atrophy them so they're hopeless with a sword, give them fever dreams so they're more receptive to being spoopered... we could have so many options! And we could call this horrid plague The Gloom.
>>1704550Neat idea Mal, I have an idea for a place we could go. Let's find the most moralless, decadent, and rich city we can. There we can be the eccentric nobleman who has a thing for necromancy and likes making grand enterances on "carpets" made of blood
>>1704550>>1704528In fact, we should give those abilities to the Aberration, that way the disease is fairly easy to spread over a wide area.
>>1704565We should probably discuss this on the Discord. Don't want to clog up the thread.
>>1704576Oh relax, not that bad. Besides the thread is already four days old and autosagging ever so slowly. And I can't get into the discord
>>1704598Fair enough. So, when you say about being the Marquis of Misery do you mean like an evil Batman? Deranged noble by day, terrifying blood beast by night?
>>1704623The Count of Carnage, the Duke of Debauchery, the Baron of Blood, the [insert aleterative noble title here]That's one idea that we could go for, another I think is a warlord. And with how the barbarians are, it all depends on their way of thinking and we get to have our own army of barbarians
>>1704623What I mean is we be that one rich as fuck noble who throws hype ass parties and only goes out at night and is a recluse during the day.Another idea is different than warlord or depraved noble: run an orphanage, get a supply of delicious delicious children
>>1704627The King of Karnage, the Lord of Lies, the Earl of Evil, the Master of Madness...From how Cursed reacted to my shapeshifter, I think they're going to be very honour-focused with heaps of macho, like Vikings, Celts, Mongols, Russians etc. Basically their way is brute strength, no traps or tricks.I think that as they take the high road we should take the low road - use treachery and spies, hit-and-run nightly raids, spread disease, set traps and ambushes, fight them in such a way that makes their strength count for nothing.
>>1704654Break their spirit? I like it, and we should be more brutal than them to signify that we could give less of a shit.Kill their babies and kids for quick bites to eat, use turn the elderly into nothingless than a means to spread plauge, whenever they send soldiers we use gurreilla tactics and drain their souls for empowering us.And toward the end, their leader(s) will realize the futility of struggling when they see legions of undead marching upon them.
>>1704666Why stop at just eating their children? We could animate them and use them as messengers. "Mummy, the vampire says he's going to kill you a lot slower than he killed me."And with a lot of these sorts of tribes the village elders are deeply revered. They are leaders, sources of wisdom, channels to the gods themselves. To target them would wreck their morale.Just mind the elderly warriors - usually they became that old by being the best.
>>1704688Should we find a way to make more vampires, I propose we sire their babies. It'd be like watching piranha with all them swarming to eat people. And keep in mind that the elders are that: old. They're weaker than when they once was in their prime, we could kill them easier than the younger warriors. In the present however, I say we kill the families belonging to the guard we just ripped the souls out of. And should their be a particularly defiant child we tell him that we made dear 'ol dad suffer before he died
>>1704707Having vampire babies could actually be useful from a strategic perspective: we could leave them at doors, people will take them in out of pity and then boom, we have operatives on the inside. While I see the for-the-evulz appeal of going for their families, I don't see how it would benefit us. Just one shapeshifter almost killed us, and we could have a whole shitload right on our doorstep. I think we should go to one of the camps and inspect the condition of the attackers.
>>1704723On the contrary there IS a use for going after families. Should certain demons need sacrifices for summoning, we've got a wife or a kid or a baby to give. We have practice of our flesh crafting. And we have a meal for our zombies to give upgrades, and bones for our Bonewarden
I for one think that, once we've actually learned how to sire vampires who are bound to us, we only claim the very best and brightest. Not just excellent soldiers and mages, but those who are brilliant and talented, regardless of their field. They are the very best humanity has to offer, and thus the only ones worthy of immortality.>>1704730We could always adopt a bunch of homeless kids and raise them into a loyal cult. It also helps when the immortal monster actually treats them like family and not a resource to be used and discarded when convenient.
>>1704730That'll be a good idea once we have some contacts in the Lower Planes, but right now that's not really an issue. And with babies we don't have a lot of flesh or bones to work with, not in comparison to groups of guards like the ones we just wiped the floor with.
>>1704737I can see benefits of teaching them necromancy and other magics. A bunch of fanatics that see us as a father figure at least and a god-like figure at the most with enough power>>1704742Babies are probably delicious though. Melt in your mouth
>>1704754Starting some kind of cult would definitely be beneficial. And baby back ribs. Hell yeah.
>>1704742Weighing in on some thoughts.Bone warden should gain necromancy to raise its own minions, only if it gains enough to be worth it, other wise perhaps more durability is the way to go.Abberation could be a living bioweapon with plague magic, or we could allow it bloodmagic to endlessly alter itself as neededRipper, let's give it claws beyond sharp, so it can simply burst into giant creatures and shred them from the inside.Urziel the bear; pyromancy and whatever it takes to become a larger bear. The risen is early rough into the game to use necromancy by supporting its own squad and do battlefield resurrection.Or....or...stay with me on this, we eat all the souls, and all the bodies we can. Leave the scraps for the rest.
>>1704773Interesting thoughts. Here's what I think.Setgash raising minions allows us to control its minions by proxy, thus allowing us to easily let it and its squad do one job while we do another.I think giving the Aberration blood magic would be a bit redundant - most of the time it'll be far away from anything it can eat, being mostly an eye in the sky so far.The ripper already has super-sharp claws, it could probably use some illusion magic to allow it extra stealth. It could be our knife in the dark.Urziel the fiery bear is a great idea, both for combat purposes and simply because of how cool it is.The Risen I suggested infernal magic for because on one hand he's smart enough to be careful with dealing with fiends, and on the other hand if he gets possessed or something we can still kill him if we need to.
>>1704777Actually, we should ask what other magics that Skerath and Sophie know. They might know about demons
>>1704778Definitely worth a shot. Personally I think devils would be easier to work with (still assuming this all works like D&D, correct me if I'm wrong), as they're less RIP-AND-TEAR and more open to negotiation.
>>1704784Would it be of any use to eat imps? They're weak and pathetic things, make for a quick boost and meal
>>1704791Not necessarily - they may not have much flesh, but they innately have magical ability and their souls could be more useful than those of humans.
>>1704794That's why I want to eat one or a few of them. It'd possibly give a better deal for upgrading than a regular human soul
>>1704791It is worth mention that we are a vampire at the moment. There is power out there though, and that in itself has value beyond branding or simple existence. Becoming...more. Has a value all in its own. I am a fan of risen demonology, in particular it has no soul to bargin.
>>1704802Well, I thought you were just talking about our use. Demons won't want imp souls, as there are countless imps down there that they could just take. Human souls, however, are rarities down there. Worth trading for.
>>1704826Exactly, I just want to eat the shits. They'd be spicy and delicious in their souls, but for stronger demons we make deals with them
>>1704835You want to eat shit, hmm? Lads and lasses, welcome to 4chan.And we're on the same page with dealing with infernals, as a fairly powerful vampire we can do better than scraping the barrel.
https://discord.gg/KdyexHopefully this discord link works :) ill get the thread rolling as soon as my pain meds kick and I can focus
>>1704849If imps are shit then I intend Thrane to eat more shit than a few thousand people can push out.>>1704850Wooooo
So have we decided how to use the 13 bodies and 14 souls we have acquired? Souls are worth 2 bodies apiece and are necessary to begin learning magic for undead.
>>1704958to finally start hammering it out, I make a formal proposal.Risen: Learn demonology if it lets us start tinkering with new minion upgrades. In particular, if we can summon demons/ possess our soulless minions to become demon hosts as an upgrade, lets go that route.Ripper: If there is a field of magic, or even upgrade that gives it camouflage. Otherwise greater strength and damage are always of benefit.Abberation: Greater senses and speed, we may want to observe the armies from a safe distance, and see where we can pick off scouts, or lead forces into each other. (long range telescopic sight, night vision, and precision hearing)BoneWarden: strip the bones from the corpses as usual, and upgrade the shit out of its strength or defense. Its gonna have to get bigger if we are gonna fight the northerners.Thrane: We might want to go further down the path of necromancy, or even blood magic, so we can extract souls more efficiently in combat, and control a larger pile of trash minions, or even raise minions with upgrades off the get go.Past that, the skeleton upgrade would be beneficial, we are still fragile. Muscle and more would be useful. I feel if we Cursed allows it, the blood magic would allow us to flesh craft our aberration into our own body, giving us wings at the cost of a minion. Something to consider. Well, maybe not a total loss, though a crawling aberration is a sad aberration...I suppose we could stuff the remains into the ripper to give it horrible tangling close combat capability.just some thoughts.
>>1704970I agree with the Risen and Ripper proposals. Abberation should get plague magic to spread across since it's able to fly, upping Thrane's necromancy and blood magic is fine as well as getting a skeleton/muscle upgrade. But save the bodies for making the proposed Shoggoth/Elder brain monster using blood magic and alchemy. But I think since it's just flesh and skin and the like we can still give the bones to Setgash the Bonewarden
>>1704970wait.....wait...wait.....adjusting suggestion on risen. Demonology Bear. Let the bear be comsumed with hellfire and nightmares, the soul it gets will grant it enough intelligence to possibly speak and summon as well. Then we can tack pyromancy to that.Risen can keep at the zombie game, leading hordes. which one can only wonder how many bodies are in the graveyard.
>>1704976alright. I agree on this, save for the shoggoth, and here is why. We have blood magic and fleshcrafting. Why not just improve our abberation into a flying Shoggoth like creature instead of creating another entity? It is already 2/3rds the way there, and the mobility+ plague magic+ new form would put it into a tier of capability near that of our warden, setgash.also, I am getting really sold on demoic pyromancer bear. totally worth 2 souls.
>>1704976>>1704970>>1704982Agreed +give Setgash Necromancy, so that he leads his own spooky skeleton troop, and maybe up his int again with the bones he will consume so that he/it makes a better commander.>>1704970>Other (wings, extra limbs, new body mutations, etc)We can just get wings that way, no need to sacrifice a minion>>1704994I like the abberation as a scout, I`d prefer to create a different entity.>>1704982Demon bear is fucking awesome
>>1704994The initial idea for the elder brain/shoggoth was that it could be an undead brain-server to vastly expand and extend our control of minions. So, while the Aberration gives us some air superiority and tactical advantage, the insane mass of flesh that is the Abomination is more like a secret siege weapon/super computer.
>>1705004I think getting the Abomination/ Shoggoth airborne is very doable. Wings/ gas sacks allows us to use it to rain down horror on our enemies, and possibly have a flying necromantic command airship.
>>1704970Alright, I'll agree to most of this, but I'm gonna point out parts I wanna change.Risen:Peronally, I want him to learn pyromancy or lighting or something offensive. He's more of our field commander so having an ability that's more then just brute strength and intelligence would be a big plus.Ripper:He should not get any souls what so ever, just bodies. His point going to speed, strength and sense. The ripper needs to be like the cavalry, very fast, very damaging and can react quickly.Bonewarden:Bones can go to making him stronger, more durable and more intelligent but would should go to magic, mostly necromamcy at this stage to make a skeleton crew.Zombie boys: Thay should get some of the cake, making them into an independ group we can send out to do things. 5 in total 2 so far are tanks, make one fast and damaging, the other high sense snd speed the last sink some intelligence and magic, mostly offensive into him.

>>1705210Well that solves that. Now this telepathic hub, what is the desire for it? What the intention for it to do. Just clarify for me plz
>>1705194I've a potentially unpopular but very practical suggestion. Our erstwhile necromancer may be able to meet the role of command and control nexus as our base "material" for such an effort. Pull soul and stick back in body. So long as we can find a way to mitigate skill loss, she already is adept at controlling a larger horde than us with much less skill and talent. Plus her minions are auto upgraded.Again, a thought for down the road if we are pursuing the mother brain/ shoggoth route.
>>1705210Also 5 points into Skeleton? Jesus. Hell be huge. Is that thud intention or to increase durability?
>>1705212The masses seem to think it could help us control countless undead by proxy. A slave controller to our master.

>>1705212The brain hub/flesh server acts as guiding intelligence for all of our less cunning minions. The second purpose to this creation is to link the minds and senses of each minion together, giving them greater unity and defense against surprise attacks. So, effectively, it gives every undead we create a +1 to their Intelligence and Senses. As it expands and grows, it can also become a booster for Thrane himself, allowing him to raise many more minions, at least as long as those additional minions remain within range of the Abomination's control, which will in turn expand as it itself grows.>>1705214I say that we eventually give her the gift of Vampirism, once we've unlocked such knowledge.

>>1705230Ah, the airship was me. I figured if we have a unit who's existence is to buff, it could serve a secondary function. >>1706729Going with this because the residents of Blackwood don't know anything useful about the town of Sverelfan.
>gift of 14 living humans to abomination. At a wave of your hand the Zombies wade into the group, selecting fourteen of the younger men and women, beating those that struggle into submission. One of your zombies plucks a small dagger from its chest before shattering the eye socket of the man who wielded it.Pushing the prisoners one by one towards the Abomination happily burbling in the corner, you watch in fascination as it envelops the head of a helplessly restrained man, a wet crack and horrid sucking, slurping sound coming from its depths. It shudders and spits out chunks of shattered skull as its body shifts, the living brain tissue and spinal cord merged with its own intellect.>"This one feels.... Invigorated... Are there more for this one? Please?"The headless and drained body is hacked to pieces by a conscripted zombie, carefully and diligently feeding the Abomination the chunks of flesh. A screaming woman is dragged forth, pushed headfirst into the Abominations maw...Hours later the Abomination sits bloated and contented, spitting out skull chunks as it digests its meal>"Delicious....">Abomination absorbing new tissue. New abilities will be available after it is done.>1 human life for 1 imp. Sounds fair.Your Risen sits in a isolated crypt chamber, Sophie and yourself watching curiously as his fingers score infernal sigils into the floor. The eyewatering nine points glow with a deep crimson light as a struggling man is brought in. Forced to kneel in the center of the concentric rings of symbols he struggles in vain against the magical restraints. His jaw locks as the Risen chants, funneling power into the rings of symbols, drawing a long dagger he drags a nail along its edge, the blade glowing with the inscription of thousands of runes. With a flick of his wrist it buries up to the hilt in the mans heart, his eyes immediately igniting as his soul is offered up and greedily consumed. His body begins falling in upon itself, flame boiling as he burns to ashes and cinder. Rising from the pile of glowing ashes and bone fragments is a twisted, bipedal figure, scrawny and winged, flame curling from its eyes. Large, black batlike wings emerge from its back, long curved claws like serrated needles and small, hooves feet. A long pointed taill curl curls around its feet as it chitters to your Risen before kneeling, breathing smoke and ash.>Gained 1 imp. Risen can summon up to 5 of these weak demons to serve him in combat or recon in exchange for human souls.>19 Humans remain>Sacrifice more humans for more imps>Fleshcraft some prisoners. Create some monsters >Upgrade some minions with your 59 souls. Be gentle on me plz>Interrogate some of the Villagers. They don't know much but you might get lucky.>Speak with Sophie. See what she learned.>Other
>>1706976Soul and corpse distribution is going to get pretty annoying to deal with when the numbers keep getting higher and higher along with the numbers of our minions.
>>1707037Yes it is. Im going to start offering upgrades to Thrane that improve corrupting touch. You'll be able to create advanced minions at the cost of a few souls. Sound fair?
>>1706976So, I'd say upgrade Risen, making him an undeath Guardian or something. Giving him 1 magic point in pyromancy and lighting while getting 2 in demonolgy.Give our bear some bodies to boast his intellect up by three points. Then buff the 5 originally zombie fun squad bros with intelligence, durability so all have 3 points and strength. The last living people, ask Sophia what she would like to do, making sure to use our blood magic so we aren't so intimidating to our necromamcy friend.
>>1707051Are you saying we'll no longer be able to upgrade Thrane or any specific units?
>>1706976>Upgrade some minions with your 59 souls. Be gentle on me plzLet's upgrade Thrane's speed, durability, and strength by three. And up his blood magic by four, give him wings, what's shown in pic related (the thing coming out of the mouth), and up necromancy by threeGive the Aberration 5 durability, 5 speed, and another point in plague magic for a total of five in it. Up the Risen's pyromancy and lightning to fiveUp Urziel's pyromancy to fourAnd then>Speak with Sophie. See what she learned.
>>1707080That's uh, that's not very gentle my dude.
>>1707072Yes you will but ill reserve the upgrades for Thrane and his Lieutenants. Basic mooks will be made and left alone to save my brain from melting.
>>1707093Believe me anon: I can be a LOT rougher
>>1707107No upgrade to Setgash or his Bone Patrol?
>>1707121Yeah, we need to give Setgash some buffin as well.
>>1707121Setgash, give him more limbs and srms, strength and occult, lovecraftian knowledge so we can do rituals that grant us dark favor or can cause insanity in foes. Pick one skeleton to be his priest, giving him more holy, clerical and divine powers so we can find ways around them.>Plus, we can start the church of the black bones.
>>1707121Give Setgash 4 in pyromancy and 8 in plague magic. And what this anon says >>1707155Gone over the soul limit yet? Probably not

>>1707260A 5 into fangs? Jesus that's a scary mouthful.
>>1707281All the better to eat the flesh of the living
>>1707252Needs more speed for Thrane.
Also, I imagine that even though Setgash has no points invested into damage, due to his sheer size and weight he'd still be able to crush men under foot right?
>>1707252Second, I'm so sorry cursed.
>>1707330Setgash can crush men, horses, small buildings alike under his blows. Hes huge.
>>1707332Oh wait! Add in the points to make the original fun squad zombies signaifaclly smarter, stronger and durable, equalling them all out so they all have the same stats.
>>1707252Jesus Christ. Alrighty then. Lets party.
>>1707374Damn, what would happen if we upgraded his damage?
>>1707381He would probably develop larger, sharper claws, perhaps a large scorpion like tail, a bone sword for an arm, etc. He will probably be the Frontline vanguard of your future armies. He will be the one to take on the massive enemies (giants, dragons, ogres, etc)
>>1707397Oh yes bbyWe should get on that. We should keep upgrading his magical abilities too, to the point where he could outnumber entire armies with raised skeletons and their dead comrades.
>>1707405He already has a group of 50 skeletal warriors that spawn from his back and ride him into battle.
>>1707412Needs more. Several hundred more.
Considering our current rate of growth, I'm interested in knowing how the undead haven't killed everything that lives at this point. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the various holy Gods out there.
>>1707381A skeleton to surpass metal gear.>>1707374Hey...so what would happen if we soul drained the imp, or fed it to our hellbear?
>>1707431Exactly. The various Gods of righteousness empower Paladins and Clerics to strike down undead enmasse
>>1707443Imps have no souls. Demonic beings are soulless by nature. Theyre the currency in the nine hells.
>>1707449I think anon means can we eat it?
>>1707445We're going to need a lot of favor from the dark gods then.
>>1707454You CAN eat it but it wouldn't do much. Its a flying hellrat.
>>1707462So what you're saying is we need to summon bigger demons to eat?
>>1707467If you want. It would have to be a higher demon to be really worth the effort of killing And eating it.
>>1707476Can we eat Satan?
>>1707478Which one? There are a LOT of higher demons, Arch-Daemons, Daemon Princes, Hell Knights and imprisoned Dark Gods the further down you go into the hells. Killing them on their home turf would be... Exceedingly difficult.
>>1707483Well shit, guess it'd need a lot of power to eat one of them. So Cursed how's the update coming? Are we distracting you too much?
>>1707494So outta curiosity....flying hell rat. What knowledge of another realm could it provide our abomination...? Lets feed it. Even if simple it will be useful. Finally, blood of my blood for Sophie as a reward. We also fleshcraft her to gain some bitching claws and unnatural height...maybe some fangs and better vision. Still living, but better. Still looking like herself, but our emmisary and eventual holy magic hunter, considering our unique predicament.
>>1707252>Be patient with me here.>Thrane- >Strength +3>Speed +3>Claws +4>Necromancy maxed at ten until further notice cause DAYUM>Domination +3>Blood magic +4You gather your Lieutenants in the central chamber of the Crypt, your lesser minions lining the walls, weapons planted between their feet. You spread your hands, funneling souls into their bodies and your own, the ecstatic, blistering agony as your veins ignite filling your body as you are forced to change. Your limbs and chest swell and bulge, muscle, bone and tendon thickening as your strength grows exponentially. No creature that you know of can match your might. Your armor plated hide thickens, broader and denser than any mortal forged armor, darkening to a glossy black shell of bone as tendrils of crimson weave through its surface. You stand nearly twelve feet tall now, a hulking beast from the nightmares of humanity.Your Claws extend and thicken, as long and sharp as scimitars. The edges shimmer in the light, as hard as steel hut sharper than any razor. Like black steel they hiss as they cut the air, merciless blades of pure death. Your fangs curl from your massive jaws, spikes of white bone and enamel as long as daggers, edges serrated and wet in the dim candlelight. You tense your muscles as energy courses through you, your very nerves and tendons aflame as they are rewired, your body being geared again for blinding speed despite your bulk. Your eyes glow with trails of Violet, Scarlet and deep, ruddy Crimson as knowledge is forced through your mind again. You howl in blissful agony as your magic grows like a wildfire. >Spells upgraded>Thrall control lv10- control up to 120 minions without strain. >Doomblast lv3-this concentrated blast of death energy can be released to destroy any living thing in your path>Soul Reap lv3- The area of effect and threshold for success are increased. He smiles broadly before experimentally loosing a bolt of mixed energy at the wall, scoring a molten hole in the stone. >Ripper >Camo +3Your Ripper snarls in joy as its skin warps and shifts, becoming nearly liquid in the light. Like a living piece of glass it perfectly shows its surroundings. Without even a shadow to cast it is the perfect hunter now...>Aberration- >+2 speed>+4 durability.Your Abberation squeals as its body drastically changes. Bone is finally forced into more of its body, its tentacles band tendrils forced to anchor to something as its body becomes denser. The outer surface becomes a mass of leathery tendrils that harden into a coiled mass as the dissolved bone is redistributed to its hide. Its wings lengthen and broaden, nearly thirty feet across and as heavily muscled as as a gargoyles.>Finished I think. Ill do unit counts next.
