Summary of the story http://pastebin.com/5vNphiNS
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Stark1st

Last time you prepared for a full on battle with the No-Named Man and his armies of demons and new vampire allies. You discovered an ancient vampiric ritual to revive seemingly dead vampires and brought Mother, Malena Ravanni back from the grave to help with your new vampire problem. At the battlefield, you split up your party to best help each division of troops and sat down with the No-Named man over some tea. He explained that his plan was the combine the plains to create the perfect world from the rubble which would ensue from the collapse. You think he is insane and when you went back to your army gave a rousing speech for the battle. Now you charge headlong into the enemies seemingly endless ranks of demons and monstrosities.

>>1682233

You survey the battle from where you could and looked for the two individuals you needed to focus on, Ariel, and Yaga. You weren’t super sure about Yaga’s character but they both helped you tremendously and you don’t want them to die because of you. In your glances you see them in the far back, still held by the troupe of goblins. They appear to be holding back several larger demons who look eager to consume the tendered flesh of a wizard and witch. Abominations with their tongues hanging out and panting as they held their excitement.

A demon with the face of a dog and body of a man appears to be the brave soul charging directly toward you. Damn, despite your goal being in view it was behind a large mass of demonic troops. For now, then you’ll just try your best to cut your way through.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield, a vampire lord gazes to the sky to see her kin preparing to engage the forces of darling’s makeshift alliance. What a crazy set of circumstances that brought you here. To think, your plan would work, backfire, and then reverse. Darling sure is amazing in what she is capable of, and this talk of a power of influence has you intrigued, “You never cease to amaze me…” Darling may not have recognized it, but with your resurrection you were able to reconnect yourself with her easily, having listened in on her talks with the No-Named Man you wished you had heard more of his ideas, but currently, another pressing matter is at your attention.

Malena Ravanni was now faced with her own kind and you promised darling that you would help. So help you shall. You stand up from your coffin still transported near the back of the army. You had requested for a horse of some sort but the centaurs took offense. This would have to do. You grip the sheep carcass still freshly bleeding near you, absorbing its nutrients through your fingers. you would have preferred a sentient person, they are far tastier, but for now, it will have to do. Using what power you had you managed to levitate yourself into the air and for a rune of blood in the air.

You wind up your voice, “YOU OF THE RAVANNI BLOODLINE, CEASE THIS INSTANT!”

A thunderous boom tears through the battlefield as almost all turn to face you. The rune you used was a sound amplifier but maybe you overdid it a tad. Oh well, with eyes on you it was your time.

“I AM YOUR MISTRESS MALENA RAVANNI, HEIR OF ALEISTER RAVANNI AND HEAD OF THE RAVANNI BLOODLINE. AS YOUR LORD I COMMAND YOU TO WITHDRAW FROM THE FORCES OF THE NO-NAMED MAN.”

The flying vampires cease their movement altogether until one lone vampire makes its way toward you.

“Mistress Ravanni,.” he says, bowing as he acknowledges your presence, “We had thought you dead, and were forced to vacate the castle from that devil.”

“I am aware.”

The vampire nervously continues, “Y-You have to understand, between your death, our eviction and your now siding with that girl who did both things we are confused. Why on the Astral Plane should we put up with that girl’s games and whim? We are proud vampires of the Ravanni line and we want vengeance for her actions.”

You gaze behind the brave vampire to the vampires still stunned.

He continues, “I-I am not the only one who thinks this, and your recent incidents of kidnapping children has gotten us here, please my mistress, come back free from that little one’s enticement.”

You admit, darling’s antics have gotten out of control and would be enough for any party harmed to be this upset.

You raise your eyebrow, “Are you questioning my authority? Do you think I am leading you all poorly?”

“N-No Mistress. W-W-W-We are just concerned about the methods, and feel that you should take a step back and re-evaluate your leadership…”

“How dare you!”

Weaving your hand in the air the vampire forcibly stands erect and begins to twitch in pain. You pull your hand close to yourself and the vampire's body follows suit. Terror was in his eyes as yours glowed red with malice. “I have lead you all for hundreds of years and you question me?! You insolent knave!. Using your free hand you make a drastic twisting motion. The vampires right arm contorts and snaps as blood begins to fall from the wound. He screamed in pain as his body acted against his will.

You move your head closer to the face of this foolish man, “You, and all of the others will remember just who is in charge.”

“M-Mistress, I am sorry…. Please!”

You smile at his plea and for a second a small sliver of hope appeared on his face, but your smile soon turns to a grin, a wide one which led to you baring your teeth making your sharp fangs visible. You lean your head back and lunge it forward, sinking your teeth into the neck of the fool. In less than a minute his body shriveled as you drank his blood. You weren’t in the habit of cannibalism, but you were craving some sentient blood and for now, this will have to do.

At first, his body tried to fidget away from your grasp though it soon realized there was no hope, his screamed dulled out and he was soon left a husk. Once you were sated you toss the vampire's body aside and it plummeted to the ground as you licked your lips savory every last blood vessel. You again raise your voice, “ANYONE ELSE WISH TO QUESTION ME?! THOSE WHO WANT TO LIVE QUIT THE FIELD!”

Your demonstration must have proved worthwhile as the remaining vampires soon flew away from the fighting and behind the alliance forces. You smiled in delight, you not only got your servants back, but managed to quench your thirst in the process. Perfect. Wiping the excess blood from your lips you fly to your kin. Your job, for now, was done and it was up to Darling to take advantage while you line out the unruly ones.

The dog demons club came down on your body, it was a rough hit, but nothing you haven’t handled before. His attack may have been fast but his reaction to counters slow. It wasn’t hard to stab him in the side and using your death magic blast a hole in his torso. In a few seconds his lifeless body fell to the ground and although you won you would have preferred to not have gotten hit in the very first encounter. Bodies were falling all around you as you were being shoved back and forth by the fighters as they each seek opponents to clash with. You could tell, this was going to be a long battle, and a difficult one. No matter you will just have to continue one.

You shadow launches from you pinning down enemies that come in your way as you slowly carve through the forces. Being on the ground it is hard to tell just how well your forces are doing but you were on a mission right now and nothing was stopping you. Ariel and Yaga are that much closer, and with Kagehana at your side supporting you, you feel that everything will be okay. The only thing that has you concerned for the battle is the X factor in Azzrazzor and the No-Named Man. You knew the Firebirds capabilities were devastated but you could tell nothing from the man other than he too can materialize objects like Yaga and Anna. For now though, onward.

This is just awful, you were separated from your love and locked in combat with hideous creatures, “Haha, another one. I’M AT SEVEN!” screamed Anna as she rushes headlong into the fray. No doubt she was still trying to compete with Victoria and hoped she had heard her current kill count.

You just sigh, you were too much a ball of nerves to enjoy combat on the levels such as hers but maybe that was why she paired you too up. You did have one special power as a basilisk though to help your combat though. You forgot to do so at the beginning of the battle but you remove your mask and peer directly into foes that rush you. At least there was something these accursed eyes could be used for. Swiping your claws and lashing with you tail you knock away most enemies who try to surround you two. You were getting a good rhythm when you heard a voice call clear through the sound of the battle.

My, what piercing and beautiful yellow eyes who have.” A deep, clear voice caught your attention as you turned your entire body to its source. The air around you stiffened as it was the robed man your love was talking to before the battle. Standing calmly with his staff facing you.

You ready yourself, but worries began to pile. Is this the person responsible for everything? Will it all be over if I kill him? Can I kill him? Who is he? Why is this happening? Your head was rushing a million miles a second and it showed in your claws jittering.

The man begins to walk slowly toward you, “No need to be nervous… it will all be over soon anyways

“You!” Anna sprinted into action throwing her body into an attack with her twin swords. The man blocks with a single long sword appearing almost out of thin air. Anna jumps back next to you as the man halts. “Don’t worry Aki, we can take him together.”

You nod, “Yeah, plus we have the backup of our troops.” you say that to further add confidence but he has just as much backup and he looks to be cutting down any soldier in his path toward you without even flinching.

Let’s see how long you last, that girl will soon know, that it doesn’t take much to destroy a person's spirit

You stick to your skills and try to pierce his gaze with your own, he commented on your eyes so he has to be able to see them. While he is distracted Anna will jump into action and attack from the left. You try to focus your gaze but he doesn’t seem to be affected as he walks toward you. You decide to move in closer as Anna does the same on the other side, perhaps if you get a closer look you can get him quickly. Anna comes from the side for a strike but again a sword materializes out of the air which he wields and blocks it. For your attack, he uses his staff to attempt and knock you away but your speed was just barely greater than his. You manage to land a solid stab into his side with your claws. Using the opportunity you move your face in close do directly gaze into his eyes. Though his hood seemed to keep you from seeing much detail but you could faintly see the outline of a young man. If you had to guess you would say mid 20’s of age or not a little older, but what really caught your attention was his eyes, or more accurately eye. A piercing yellow eye that looked exactly like yours, in fact, it looked almost exactly like yours do in the mirror. It was only his left eye you could see though, the right one remained either hidden or closed.

A little close are we? That’s fine, this works too.” You feel a grip on your claw which you kept stabbed into his side for leverage radiating darkness from it. You didn’t know what was about to happen but it was bad. “Anna!” you yell as your friend throws a spear between you two. While dodging he loosened his grip on your claw for a moment and used it to scurry away. Back at Anna’s side again you check your claw for damage. None, but there was a noticeable dark ring where his hand was that ached a tad.

Bravo.” The man taunts as he tosses down his staff, “This will be more interesting than I thought…” His hands began to radiate a black and purple. The longsword which he acquired not basked in it’s glow as well. One of the centaur’s thinking the man caught off guard attacked with a scimitar but the hyperattentive man countered cutting not only the centaur down, but the scimitar clearly in half. The brave centaur’s body decayed seconds later to dust.

I just might have to get serious it seems

You shout triumphantly into the air as you punch out yet another unworthy opponent“TEN! YA HEAR THAT PIPSQUEAK! HAHA”

“Would you be less loud about your competition I need to know how things are going. Across the battlefield”

The fuck did it matter if you like keeping score or not? Not like you are going to lose or anything, at most that pipsqueak has maybe five to seven down. You just want her to know that you beat her. That’s all and had a blast doing it.

“Who cares just make sure I’m okay and we’ll win, after all, I’ve never lost a fight!” Grabbing another unknowing demon by the face you slam them into the ground and stomp it’s face in, “ELEVEN!”

Yuki sighs, “At the very least we seem to be fine as of now, just let me know when you need help.” Yuki seems to be keeping constant vigil with her bow while also looking for friends troops to heal when she can.

“Just Fine? I feel fuckin’ fantastic!” you shout joyfully throwing a spear into a distant pile of enemies. This really was the best.

A resounded screech sounded through the air as the Firebird from the distance came crashing down in the pile of troops. You saw the bird engage a large number of your forces and was tossing them about, sending shockwaves of fire out every few seconds.

You remember hearing about this bird from Akitani and the leader. Something, something Assrazzor or whatever the fuck. Apparently, they are really strong. You look to the spear you were keeping clutched in your hands and smile wide, “This day just keeps getting better! Yuki back me up, I’m going bird hunting!”

“What?! You can’t be serious. Azzrazzor was trouble for a Dragon.”

“And that’s why it's gonna be great when I kill it, now come on!” Waving Yuki over as you plow through more enemies toward your prize you thought. If there is one thing that would automatically make you with this competition it would be killing this piece of shit. The only way she could compete was if she ran into the enemy boss somehow. Pfft, like that would ever happen.

Shoving both enemy and friendly troops aside you come to the Firebird clearing away some troops for breathing room. Breathing room which you intrude upon. “Yo fire-bitch!” The bird of flame turns toward you and screeches. “You're going down ya hear.”

The bird of flame laughs, “Haha, and what can you hope to do when not even the destroyer could kill me! What makes you think you stand a chance?”

You smile at her question, “Easy pigeon,” you use your telekinesis to pick up two fallen warriors’ spears and swords, “I have never lost a fight!.”

A scream from the large Firebird emanates toward you as you toss your spears into the large beast. Though she didn’t seem to mind as she breathes a fire in your general direction. Dodging out of the way your roll to the side and dash closer to her.

“If that isn’t going to work then we’ll just have to do this the fun way.” Brandishing your Kanabo and leap with a downward strike targeting her head. She must not have noticed as she was still breathing fire in the direction she must have still figured you would be. Nailing her on the head you interrupt her breath and knock her off balance.

“You insolent!” screamed the bird as it stumbled, clearly really from the blow you inflicted.

“Now for the even best part!” You jump up on to the back of the dazed bird. You didn’t know if it would hurt since she was made of fire and all but at the same time, you didn’t fucking care. This was gonna be awesome and do a lot of damage regardless. To your surprise though it wasn’t too hot up here, quite warm but not yet scalding. Maybe due to her recent attack? Meh, who cares.

“What on earth are you doing?” Yuki yelled as she witnessed your ascending the enemy.

“Killing a pigeon! C’mon and help me out!” I mean really if you have time to talk you have time to fight.

Another scream erupts from under you and the bird begins to shake. You raise your weapon for another swing when a large just of wind hits you from both sides. “Damn!” you fall to your knees though you are still on Azzrazzor. “VICTORIA!” Yuki calls before your sense of hearing is blocked by intense winds assaulting your body. You feel a constant rush of wind against your body as you cling to the bird. You raise your cestus up and bring it down on the bird, “Would you fucking stop it already.” The bird lets out a small cry and the rushing winds cease.

“Finally.” You pull yourself up from the bird's back. “Now where were w- WHAT THE FUCK?!” You stop mid sentence to realize that you were no longer just attached to the bird on the battlefield but far above the battlefield. The forces engaging down below look tiny from where you were. “Hey, you piece of shit bird put us down!” You hit the bird again with your cestus.

A small laugh erupts from the Firebird, “I would not do that if I were you, you might just fall before this gets fun.”

“You little shit, I'll-” You were once again cut off by a sudden flap of the Firebirds wings and its fast acceleration. “Damn it!!” You shout as you once again grasp what you could on her back as the air pressure began to hit.

The pigeon taunts, “I wonder how long you can last.” and you begin to feel her body getting hotter underneath you. Combined with the winds. This wasn’t looking good.

“Try to hold on Taka dear. Your older sister would be rather sad if you died a second time, fufu.” The capricious bicorn teased as you were locked in battle.

Fending off enemies with your blade and a little help with your home taught water magic you keep yourselves safe. “I know, just make sure you watch the front as we go.” Honestly, you were rather impressed by Rozalin's ability to make such comments while fighting like this, but you suppose some people can’t turn off their personalities even for serious matters.

Rozalin giggles as she charges through another small group of enemies, you picking up any second hits you could to make sure it was an effective charge. Quickly the girtablilu forces follow behind you bridging the gap in battle lines. You had done this for most of the fighting and you seemed to have created a good system. You didn’t know what to expect when Onee-chan paired you up with Rozalin, but you seem to be playing off each other's strengths rather well.

The bicorn sighs, in between her next charge, “If only there were some pleasant looking woman we could use for a quick break from this monotony. I far prefer that type of struggle over this one.”

You manage to sigh in response and tap her upside the head, “Knock it off please, we need to stay focused.”

“Boo. you’re no fun dear.”

Fun? This wasn’t supposed to be fun at all. War is never fun, you know that better than maybe anyone. What's more, that man was here and if he is still as powerful as he was when he first rescued you, then this was going to be difficult. You quickly check close your eyes and calm yourself. Ever since that nasty ritual Onee-chan had you do with her you oddly feel some of the things she does, largely pain. If she was in trouble you would know, but as of now, everything seems clear.

“Here we go again, dear!” Called Rozalin, snapping you out of your short trance.

Oh well, back to the fighting you suppose. At least, for now, it was going fine, you just hope it was the same for Onee-chan and the others.

Your charge this time ends its tracks with a large abomination of a creature, a chimera. A tall woman easily doubles the size of most of your soldiers and is at least half taller than Rozalin, who seemed to be many parts of different animals all combined. Part goat, part snake, part lion, though her core body looked humanoid her animal features were distinct.

“I am Vipsania!” announced the creature, “As the one responsible for this detachment I will not allow you to fight against father anymore.” She takes a battle stance, “I shall deal with you personally.” She jitters and her stoic face turns to a sadistic grin, “Yes, personally, kill kill hehehe!” She jitters again and her face returns to its previous state, “Now come!” She yells.

Rozalin takes a long look at this foe who does not seem to be making the first move and is waiting for your group's answer. Far too long of a look, you might say and you hear a small giggle, “Now she is more of my type of opponent.”

You're sure the bicorns mind has drifted into her fantasies but still, the chimera stood in front of you waiting for your response. She must be strong, to be so confident and honorable if she hasn’t taken any opportunity to attack while Rozalin was distracted.

"We cannot beat her with power, but since she is calling that man father is neans she has been brainwashed so she shouldn't have a strong mind. We should have the troops distract her while you make her yours."

That's something your big sister would do right? Is a shame you don't have her seduction skills so Rozalin will be alone in that. But she is quite powerful when she focuses in a single opponent.

Cutting down another foolhardy demon you continue to cut through to the forces of the No-Named Man. Auriel and Yaga were now in sight and they were still being held by a group of goblins. You saw an opportunity to cut and dash through the forces and as you broke through into seemingly open ground a crossbow bolt shot by you at stunning speeds. The bolt tearing out the arm of the demon it hit behind you.

“Oi grilly, I didn’t needs to miss u kno?” The owner of the raspy voice looked to be none other than that grizzled goblin with a scar pointing his crossbow straight at you.

“Gurtag! You’ll pay for what you did to those kids!”

“This is bad Anna, there is no way we can get close and fight him. We’ll have to run for now.”

Anna gazes long and hard at the man who is calmly approaching you and his weapon. “I think maybe magic can cancel its effects out, he can materialize like me so that means there is a chance to-”

“No!” You cut her off and grand her arm with your claw, “Anna, you try and fight him then you will die, all he has to do is hit you with that thing.” C’mon Anna see reason here, there was enough to worry about already.

“But then Victoria is gonna…”

“Stop it now!” you slap Anna across the face, “You can’t seriously be saying your bet is more important than your life. Calm down!.” We can use distance attacks when the time comes, but for now, we have to leave!” You pray desperately that reason can get the best of her stubborn pride.

“.... …. … Fine…” Anna throws her materialized weapons at the man before joining you in an attempt to run away.” He knocks them away with his empowered blade.

I don’t believe I gave you two permission to run

He raises a free hand to materialize a spear, and hurls it in your direction.

The spear thankfully hits one of the many troops in your vicinity and neither of you. The centaur hit was soon dead, and although unfortunate you were grateful the two of you were not.

Your throws seem to be connecting and you notice that Anna’s theory about her materialized weapons was correct, they were still decaying after coming into contact with his blade though at a much slower rate that was more akin to dematerialization.

A few of the spears connect with the man and tear parts of his robe. You’re just barely able to see what looks to be a humanoid arm underneath the rags, but he quickly mends the tear with a bit of magic before continuing. “Very good! I would expect nothing else from you two. Though I think it is time you realized it's hopeless” Taking a hand coated in black energy he touches the ashes of the fallen centaurs around him who appear again as spectres shrieking and flying around him. “Now let’s see how you manage to fight these these

Anna throws one of her spears at them but it flies through, “What but its magical! Magical weapons should be able to hit magical beings!”

Tsk Tsk Anna, it would be easy if that was the case, better think fast.

You had enough of his condescending personality, but if Anna can’t hit them what can you do? Ghost are undead right? If magic weapons don’t work could anything else? At the same time, if you ran they can fly and will catch in no time.

"We cannot beat her with power, but since she is calling that man father is means she has been brainwashed so she shouldn't have a strong mind. We should have the troops distract her while you make her yours."

That's something your big sister would do right? It is a shame you don't have her seduction skills so Rozalin will be alone in that. But she is quite powerful when she focuses on a single opponent.

Rozalin giggles and licks her lips, “Finally some fun.”

You point your sword at the large opponent, “Everyone! Launch a volley at the Chimera!”

As your forces begin to shoot or toss their weapons the chimera gives a disappointing look, “I had hoped for only our single combat, but this is understandable given your disadvantage.” She shakes, “Yeah, and it means I get to kill more! Yeah!” She jumped with glee into the volley which she powered through. Arrows and spears were stuck in her body but she didn’t seem to care and laughed and using one of her claws ripped a centaur apart. “More! More! More!” She began to rampage.

Using what you could of water magic you douse her to try and stop her rampage. Surprisingly it worked and she jittered. “What kind of foe attacks with a small amount of water?” Turning to face the place it came from in your stead stood Rozalin.

“Sorry about that dear but I only wanted your attention. I will take your challenge for single combat.”

“You will! Wonderful!” The now proud chimera stands ready putting all attention toward the bicorn.

“Yes, but first…” Rozalin begins to slowly purposely move her body in a way that makes her proud seductive assets clearly visible.

Undead are weak against silver, so maybe magical silver weapons? Oh and healing magic! You could try to first trow silver at them and then get someone with healing magic to hurt the undead if that doesn't work.

Rozalin smiles, “My don’t you look so tough and rugged, I wonder how you would act during more savouring moments.”

“What is more intimate than close quarter combat?” the chimera slowly lowers her fists and her guard in the face of Rozalin's charms.

“Silly, it is combat, though of another even more intimate engagement…” Rozalin moves closer to the giant and casually begins to undo her clothing and armor, getting close enough she gently touches her hand to the chimeras long legs and caresses them softly, “I can show you… if you want to know.”

Vipsania begins to jitter and shake, “I- er- I- er Yeah, Yes” poping between her personalities she manages to agree to Rozalin's invitation.

“Then we should go someplace more personal, where others can’t get involved don’t you think?”

“Y-Yes.”

“Also we must get you out of those wet clothes before you get a cold.”

“Y-Yes…”

Vipsania has fully fallen for the bicorn’s charms and is far too deep to get out anytime soon. Rozalin offers her hand to the Chimera who slowly accepts. Rozalin begins to lead her through your troops who you instruct not to interfere. As she passes you she winks and says, “Thanks, dear, you can take care of the rest.”

Rolling your eyes and trying not to look in her eyes you say, “Yeah of course, just go take care of what you need to take care of.” You waver her off as you ready once again for battle, though this time without your partner. Thinking of which we took out the enemy commander over here but you wonder what Rozalin might do with Vipsania. She could easily kill her after its all said and done, it would be another blow to the big bad but the bicorns is a rather whimsical creature and you didn’t really sort any of this out.

You brace for the impact of 10 or so goblins and cloak yourself in a radiance of dark energy. The goblins pounce but having dealt with their kind before the ones that you didn’t cut as they attacked were incapacitated by your aura. Gurtag shoots another crossbow bolt which grazes your arm.”

“Oi, you aint supposed ta do dat so fasts. Now I gottas work harderz.” The huge goblin pulls out a special crossbow from behind him one of intricate design and large like a small balista. He loads not one but three heavy bolths into the firing position. “Now dis, is gunna be fun.”

You didn’t have time to think, if you stayed t range you were dead as that thing was bound to hit you sooner or later. Maybe you can try and throw off his first shot, "That stuff you took will kill you even if you win this fight, you idiot! You are just a sacrifice pawn for him!"

“I don’t know my form does not have a distinct shape and can move however I want but yours… you might have to break a few things.”

“We'll figure something out, at the very least I need something to make sure he doesn’t hit me.”

“Okay, I think I got something…”

As you hear the clicking of crossbow trigger your shadow appears before you in a large mass and you hear her say “Get down.” Dropping prone you hear the shots whiz by you and a small yelp come from your mind.

“Kagehana!” you shadow reverts to its normal size in front of you with a hole through her arm and leg. You rush to make sure she is alright She looked to be on the ground breathing heavily with what looked to be black sludge leaking from her wounds.

“Ya see, after seein whats dat gir did to tharja and da others, we figure we plan for dat. Another reason did here” Gurtag knocks on the crossbow, “Waz made special.”

“You bastard!” You jump up. You hear in your mind, “I should be okay for a bit just take him down soon Onee-chan…”

“Right… you wanted to make sure Kagehana was going to be okay but it would have been hard had Gurtag gotten free shots on ya. Thanks to her distraction you were able to get close enough for a dash into melee. Enraged you jump at him with your short sword and hand primed with dark magic fueled by our fury. Hell hath no fury than the scorn you were feeling for this goblin right now, he has dogged you for months, harmed you numerous times, hurt Kagehana, stole all those kids, and now threatens the lives of Auriel and Yaga. This ends now.

You scream as your arm becomes cooked in the black magic and it along with your sword pierce the body of Gurtag straight through his chest. As a hole is burnt through him he coughs up blood. “Dis… ain't nuthin… I needz to win….” With no strength, Gurtag attempts to lift his crossbow, but his arms won’t let him. His legs became wobbly and his arms shook. “I am gonna win dis ti-”

All of a sudden a loud thud came before you as a series of bolts smashed into the back of Gurtag.

“Wut!” the giant goblin shocked for a second time, drops to his knees and falls to the ground.

“Honestly, look at all the trouble you get yourself into when I am not around.” Looking behind the fallen goblin you see a demon slowly materialize behind him. “I just hope my daughter is not off somewhere during this battle young one, getting here in time was hard enough.”

“Nesserra thank goodness!” You shout as you welcome the imp mother back from her trip to the harpy village. “If you’re back then that means…”

The imp mother nods, “Indeed, look now.” She points to the north eastern skies as you see the sky lined with flying warriors armed with what looked to be silver weapons, headed by their queen.

Nessera smiles, “Rejoice young one, for aid has arrived.”

“Shit.” Azzarazzor was flying erratically, barrel rolling and laughing as you hang on for dear life. God damn, this was annoying, but at the rate, you were going there wasn’t much you can do. … … Well, there is some thing you can do. You lean what you could to a side and look down. You know what, it's better than this shit. Fuck you just hope someone or something breaks your fall.

You weren’t happy about having to leave this fight but there wasn’t much you could accomplish. The old you would have tried to find something and hoped to crash along with the bird, but you keep seeing your leader in your head, wanting everyone to come back alive. Damn that girl might be rubbing off on you. “Catch ya later shit bird.”

The Firebird turned her head as you jettison from her body and begin a freefall. Maybe you can aim for a soft place to land? You flip your body looking at the landscape but you suddenly ram against some bird flying through the air.

“Waaahhhhh!” screeched the bird as you two begun to fall together.

“What the hell!” You grab onto the bird who you soon found out was a harpy. “How the fuck?” Did that idea actually work? Shit, I guess you gotta do stuff like this more often.

“Ohh Victoria it's you? I didn’t know you could fly.”

“I can’t, and is that you Melo? What the fuck is going on.”

“Well, currently we are falling,” she screams at your downfall and then calms, “See?”

“Melo that doesn’t help me at all!”

Still falling Melo seems to have an epiphany, “Ohh I get it. Well, we came when we got the queen, you see we were running dreadfully behind during the production of silver weapons and we had to double down to make-”

“Melo!” You slap her, “FLY, NOW!”

“But can’t you? How else are you in the air?”

“MELO JUST FUCKING FLY ALREADY!”

Taking your hit and slap she snaps to attention, “Roger roger!”

Turning her body she spreads her wings wide and it begins to slow your fall. As she flaps you slowly begin to level out before you were hovering comfortably in the sky. You were still decently aboce the battlefield, but at least now imminent death was at bay.

“Damn that was close…” You exhale a relieved sigh as you clung to Melo.

“Hey Victoria?” Melo asked hesitantly.

“What?”

“Can birds be made of fire?”

“What? Of course not you-- Oh shit!” realizing why she asked you looked forward to find Azzrazzor darting toward the two of you.

Soaring through the sky you charge headlong into the roaring bird as she begins to glow. You you raise up your Kanabo, get in close you hear? I need to make sure I blast that shitbird in the face before she does us.”

“Gotcha!, but why are we fasting? I thought it was blast?”

“It is!, whatever never mind, just go!”

Azzrazzor is flying streaming in your direction and you encourage Melo to do the same only slightly to the side for a drive by attack.

“C’mon you pigeon show me what you can do!”

The bird screams and charges it’s fire breath.

“Alright Melo, dodge it to the side so I can counter.” Melo nods and follows your orders. Once to the side you charge up your swing, but something was off. Azzrazzor didn’t actually shoot the fire at you as you thought would happen but instead...

Your hands gripping your weapon you stare at your opponent, who stares back. Although you were moving at high speeds time seemed to stop for a moment. The energy the firebird held inside her was no longer targeted in front of her but at you, directly, and with no distance between you two.

The burst of flame erupted as you stared long into what seemed to be the gates of hell. Flames hotter than the sun engulfed you and Melo who began to scream in agony. You were trying your best to power through at any possible way you oculd but you felt your hands fusing to your weapon and soon you couldn’t hold back the pain to avoid yelling in pain.

The flames singed your bodies and you heard Melo say with what little voice she had, Kannon… help… me... ”

You two begin free falling to the battlefield and although you couldn’t open your eyes to see how long of a fall you had before connected to solid ground, didn’t leave much time to think but to your mind, you felt as if you were once again in slow motion. Thoughts raced through you of all the shit that happened to you this past year. Crazy shit for sure, getting kidnapped, escaping from vampires, fighting in several wars, solving mysteries. Heh, it was ridiculous enough to make you laugh. Though the one thing that sticks out is that pipsqueak, always trying to act bigger than she was, attempting to out stage you for no other reason than to be better than you. It infuriated you to no end. Her condescending attitude, her distaste for losing, her enjoyment of every fight, her stubbornness.

While thinking of Anna’s faults you flash back to that night on the town during your stay in the demon lands of Wa. The night you and Anna had combined powers and tested your might against the entire capital. You returned to the castle that knight slung around each other's shoulders laughing. Honestly, truly, it was the most fun you had ever had. Damn, you too were more alike than you care to admit.

You flash again to your fight in the arena. Anna standing across from you, “You and I are friends Victoria.”

“SHUT UP!”

“We’re friends, and nothing you tell yourself otherwise will change that.”

You think to yourself, “Friends huh?” Until coming here you never cared much for company let alone friends. But what could you have been at this point with everyone? Leader asking you about your past, Anna working with her to find you. Friends would have been the only word for people who would care enough to do that sort of thing. You smile what you could, “Look at me, being a big softie all of a sudden… it's your damn fault Leader.”

You begin to feel your consciousness begin to fade, “Sorry Leader, I'm afraid you’ll have to win this one without me, but you’ll be fine you always are.”

“And damn pipsqueak, I really wanted to beat you once and for all today.” You chuckle, “Guess there is no shame in admitting it now huh?”

You were fading fast and felt yourself slipping. But there was something you had to day, and using all of your power left you force your mouth to move, “You win, Anna.”

Your mind fades to black.

Hearing a screech in the sky you see flames erupt from Azzrazzor, shooting at the mass of oncoming harpy reinforcements you assume. Unfortunately, the blast connects as you see at least two small bodies falling from the air burnt to a crisp. You close your eyes in respectful remorse for the fallen nameless warriors, But you quickly your attention to helping out the injured Wizard and Witch.

“Are you two okay?”

“Well, young one, I have been in quite a number of tussles but-” the old wizard grasps his head, “This one was quite challenging, we’ll need to talk after the battle when I am in a better condition to remember what happened. I’ll have to make a memory potion… if only I could remember how it went…” The mage winces in pain.

Auriel was in no condition to chat and Yaga who was out cold.

“Nessera, I’ll need your help in getting them to safety.”

The imp mother nods, “They are important after all, it only makes sense.”

You're glad she understands your reasoning when you explain it but her calm bluntness in this high-stress situation was at little unsettling.

You help her grab one of the injured when you heard a gurgle behind you, “Ya can’t win grl… no one beats da boss… no one.”

“We’ll see about that Gurtag, I beat you with his special upgrades didn’t I?”

“Haha, I am the far least bit of your problems between the four of us.” The goblin coughs up various fluids as he gasps for air, “Damn outa time is I?” Gurtag’s massive body begins to shrink one limb at a time though to various sizes and his left leg slinks of his body as if melting.

“I told you that potion would kill you, idiot.”

“Hehe, only cuz I lost grl, I best get going If I were you, you have a battle to lose.”

“I won’t lose! I won’t lose anything to you people.”

“Haha, boy am I gunna miss da look on ur face wen you reelize it…” His face is beginning to shake, “My unly regret, is dat I wont be there to watch you suffa anymore.” Fallowing those spite filled last words the goblin leaders face imploded, his breathing ceased, and his body stopped moving.

“So long you bastard…” A crazy fanatic, blinded by power to see the danger his master but him in. He was insane, but still, his talk of loss has you concerned, and with your recapture of Auriel and Yaga your main objective was completed, now all that is left is to win. With the Valkyries flying in, your chances looked good, but where should you go from here you wonder?

Alright then, time to head off to where Yuki and Victoria may be, you think they were near the middle of our forces, partially because Yuki could respond to healing across the field more easily. And also because Victoria demanded she be in the front middle. Taking a second to collect yourself you ready your weapons as you run back into the mix

Meanwhile

Silver, that’s right you love said silver was the key to killing the undead, and although ghosts aren’t traditional undead creatures of flesh its effect should still apply. Other than that you could think maybe healing magic maybe? Positive energy colliding with negative never turns out well for either.

“Anna! Make a weapon out of silver!”

“I can’t!”

“What?! But you can materialize objects.”

“Yeah but they are magical objects, imitations, I can make a silver sword, but it is not at its base a silver sword, just a magical one.”

Darn, then you’ll have to think of something else to-. As your train of thought was continuing you were interrupted by waves of harpies out of nowhere slamming into the rear of the enemy forces.

“What!” yelled most of the warriors on the enemy side as they suddenly were being cut down by distinctly silver weapons wielded by the harpies.

The reinforcements leader told us about!” Anna yelled with joy. She jumps up and waves her arms to get their attention., “Hey over here!”

On of the harpies carrying a bag flew over to your location, “Ahh you are two of the people Melo described to us. Here.” The harpy shuffles around her bag and pulls out a silver sword and claws. “Wilhelm said these were for a basilisk a…” the harpy pauses as she looks Anna up and down, “girl…. Hopefully, you are the right one.”

Anna grasped the sword immediately, “I’ll take it!” Jumping in the air with her new blade Anna swings down on an approaching specter, slicing it clean in two. The ghost’s form dissipates into the air.

“Yes it works!” you and Anna cheered as your confidence in your ability to survive once again comes.

You hear a loud and distinct clapping in the background “Impressive, she must have learned the weakness for the undead and prepared well for this battle. Most impressive. ” The man halts his advance toward you as the remaining specters are batted away by your teamwork and silver weapons. He sits still, motionless though his sword still swirling with dark energy. After a moment he looks off toward where Azzrazzor is seen flying with the oncoming fleet of harpy warriors, “Really she is far more cunning than she lets on, truly remarkable….” After a moment he turns back to you two, “ This shall conclude our fight today, I have seen all I need to for now, though I offer you both respite in my care should you wish to join me

Anna responds, “Yeah right! Why the hell would we choose to join up with you after you tried to just kill us?!”

He shrugs, “I just like to leave the door open." As he turns he stops half way, "Life has many doors, after all.

“Anna we should leave him.”

“What?! But now we have a better fighting chance! Not to mention this is a golden opportunity to show that brute up!”

You put your claw on her eager shoulder, “Anna we have been over this, you winning a competition is not worth dying over.” And you meant it, even with the troop and weapon advantage you still doubted you two could take him out, let alone fight him equally. No, if you were going to win, then you’ll need everyone.

Anna’s tense shoulders slowly relax, “Okay… well then we should just get back to fighting then right? I’ll beat her record yet! That may have wasted some time, but a most she is a fifteen. I can make up for that easy!”

As you once again prepare for combat you sigh, “If you say so.”

Your blade cuts through the remaining foes in your path to where you think Yuki and Victoria may be at, you were worried if you would find them or not but you soon find Yuki frantically healing a wounded centaur soldier.

“Yuki!” you yell as you run up to her, “Are you okay?” you stop in front of her to catch your breath.

“No, I’m not! ” Her hands glow erratically as she heals the centaur, “This nonstop healing is making me feel drained and what’s worse is that I can’t save all of them…”

So she’s stressed beyond belief, “Yuki, it’s okay to take a break, if you collapse than the injured would just die without aid, practice more practical healing methods maybe?” You try to give her advice and calm her down but you notice something a little out of place,“Where’s Victoria?” You thought it was strange that you did not see, let alone hear her yelling at all despite she being paired with your best friend.

Yuki points in the direction of the enemy Firebird, “She got on that thing to fight it and they flew away.”

“WHAT?!” You yell in shock, “WHY ON EARTH WOULD SHE DO THAT?!”

“I DON’T KNOW!” Yuki yells back in frustration, but calms her voice shortly after, “She wanted to beat Anna at their little bet and decided to kill Azzrazzor was the fastest way I guess. I tried to stop her but…” Yuki looks down “She just left and the only person who knows where she is now is Azzrazzor, and I can’t do anything!” Yuki’s voice rises again. “This is all I can do to help! And I can’t face Azzrazzor alone, or leave people here.” Her magic runs through her hands at amplified levels, no doubt in response to her emotions, though the centaur she was healing seemed to be in more discomfort during the process.

You put your hand on Yuki’s back in another attempt to calm her. “It’s okay Yuki… I have an idea.”

“What’s your idea?”

You turn and wave down one of the flying harpies in the area, after a shot minute one recognizes and flies directly to you, “Hero! It is good to see you are alright during this battle.”

“Yes, thank you. And I am glad that you and Queen Kanon were able to join us. But first, may I ask you and your allies to help find a person for me?”

The Harpy leans in, “Of course, if this person is important to you than we will waste no time.”

“Good, Her name is Victoria, she is our age though rather tall, long black hair and a long black jacket combined with a black hat. She honestly stands out quite a bit.”

The harpy nods, “Rodger!” And flies off to the sky where you see her flag down some of their fellow harpies. After gathering a large number and breifing them they scatter across the skies. Really these harpies are incredibly efficient for battlefield scouting and communication, not to mention with their fighting reinforcements and additional anti-undead armaments the battle has swung heavily into your favor. Not to mention the vampiric force itself has quit the field. Things were looking up.

Looking back down you see Yuki finish healing the centaur warrior who was slowly carried off by its fellow warriors. Yuki tries to stand but her legs wobble and was about to fall midway. You grab her arm to help her up. “Thanks,” She says, as you can feel her arm jitter in your hand.

“Yuki you need to take a break…”

She takes a deep breath, “We almost won right? I can last until then… can you help me a bit.”

“Of course! You take Yuki’s arm around your neck and assist her walking. For the most part your forces were able to keep the enemy off you two and you were still capable of repelling the ones that didn’t.

While walking you ask, “So you didn’t see Victoria she got on top of Azzrazzor?”

“No… After she flew off someone called for a healer and it just… kept going. I’m sorry, I know I should have been looking for her but there wasn’t anything I could do with them in the sky.”

“That’s okay, I understand.” Yuki’s nature for wanting to help everyone just got the better of her was all. “Just take it easy for the moment while we wait.”
>>
>>1711199

A few minutes later the harpy from before returns, “We… think we may have found the person you were talking about but it was hard…”

“Yes?”

“Well, we spotted what looked to be a young girl sized person with black clothing but she was burnt and on the ground next to a burnt harpy.”

“What?!”

The harpy continues despite your shock, “They didn’t… seem to be moving, and Azzrazzor was in the area, she still is, as if she is guarding the location. Also… there appeared to be a robed man moving toward there from the crowd.”

“You’re kidding…” I just figured I point it out since they stood out from the rest of the demons around them.

“Victoria!” Yelled Yuki trying to snap to attention, but her condition wasn’t the best for sudden movement.

“Damn…”

“You have to go.” Yuki weakly said, “I might slow you down… I don’t know what is going to happen and if you don’t get there in time because of me…” Yuki looks downward, imagining the worst case scenarios, “Please.”

"Dammit Yuki I put you with Victoria because she is too careless and then you two got separated! I should have tied you together with a rope or something!"

You pick up Yuki and run, is not Yuki's fault, you swear that if Victoria survives this you are lock her up with Anna and feed the two a lust potion or something, that girl needs another outlet that isn't violence.

“Nonsense Yuki you need to come no matter what. If they are hurt they need help and you're our best healer. With or without magic.” Yuki hangs her head but doesn’t object to your decision.

You pick up Yuki and run, is not Yuki's fault, you swear that if Victoria survives this you lock her up with Anna and feed the two a lust potion or something, that girl needs another outlet that isn't violence.

As you were running along you began to feel more frustrated at this whole situation. "Dammit, Yuki I put you with Victoria because she is too careless and then you two got separated! I should have tied you together with a rope or something!"

“I’m… sorry…” was all she could respond to you with.

Damn. You needed to get there and fast, you just hope you could make it in time.

You were being far more reckless with your movements but the harpies who you used as scouts were not protecting you two as you cut through to the location they told you of. As you approached you heard louder and louder screeching as well as flashes of heat, meaning you were on the right track.

Soon you found yourself to the large opening created in part to Azrazzors size of a perimeter. Looking down you saw the two bodies next to each other, each burnt badly, and if not for Victoria’s size and features it would be hard to recognize her.

“Victoria!” Yuki yelled as she covered her mouth in shock.

“Damnit! Yuki you need to heal her now!”

“But Azzrazzor she won’t let us get close, and if we could I don’t know if I could do it…”

“Nonsense Yuki! I know you! You can do this no problem, come on.” You refused to accept her answer, or this situation, you can deal with Azzrazzor if need be, you just needed to get Yuki to Victoria and hope for the best. It’s better than watching and doing nothing anyways.

You waited for a moment when Azzrazzor had her attention diverted by the harpies in the air and then move as quickly as you could to Victoria, but you were cut off immediately by the distinct sound of a staff hitting hard earth and a deep voice, “A tad slow, unfortunately

The No-Named Man walked out of the demon crowd and next to the two scorched bodies. He stops, turns toward you and Yuki and slowly positioned his staff on top of Victoria’s body, “It appears that I win girl. And to think, you would personally bring me one to do away with..”

to be continued

Last post of the night, and as usual I will be gone until Sunday, where I will make a new thread.
