Keeping an eye on this thread.

As Nineteen's body sparks at your feet, you find yourself back-to-back with Piccolo, each of you taking a defensive stance and preparing for the next round of combat to begin.

You can scarcely believe it; Nineteen has been destroyed. One of the monsters that was supposed to destroy this planet has been eradicated. There truly is hope, even after all of the setbacks that you and the others have faced.

Still, you aren't out of the woods yet. Both you and Piccolo have expended some energy, and between Gero and Sixteen, this is sure to be a difficult battle. But, even if you lose here, you've brought one of Gero's deadly machines down. You've tasted victory.

Gero looks at his fallen creation with wide-eyes and clenched teeth, shock and horror plain as day on his wrinkled old face. You are more than happy to see that smug smirk gone from him.

"This doesn't make any sense!" he declares, not seeming to speak to anybody in particular. "Less than a day ago, Piccolo and Tofoo were nowhere near this strong!"

"Tofoo's energy has undergone unknown changes," Sixteen remarks. "And this Namekian is not Piccolo."

"What?!" Gero snaps, looking toward Sixteen with confusion. "Then who is he?"

"Unknown," Sixteen answers. "I am detecting multiple energies within this Namekian. Piccolo is among them, but he is not alone."

Piccolo chuckles. "Pretty good scanners on you, aren't there? You're right, I'm not just Piccolo, not anymore."

You maintain your defensive stance, dropping your energy blade in order to make it a bit more difficult for Gero to siphon your energy. As far as you can tell, Sixteen hasn't drained anything from Piccolo, but you can't be too careful.

"Be ready," the Namekian cautions. "We can't afford to get sloppy just because you took down the clown."

Nodding in agreement, you ready yourself, focusing your energy in order to strengthen your defenses as much as you possibly can. Gero is sure to be a bit more cautious after what you did to Nineteen, after all.

Eyes narrowing, Gero holds his left hand out toward you, the node in his palm beginning to glow as light spreads across his outstretched hand. You brace yourself, and when he fires a wave of energy in your direction, you dig in your feet, cross your arms in front of your body, and endure the impact.

Each second, the attack threatens to push you back, but you manage to keep yourself locked in place, gritting your teeth as you push back against the attack. Each second you can manage to keep this up, you'll cause Gero to lose some energy. You don't even need to flat-out defeat him, you just need to outlast him until he lacks the energy to be a threat.

But, Gero's not that foolish. He doesn't simply keep up his attack. While he feeds more energy into the wave of light, his eyes glow, and beams shoot toward you.

With a swear, you move your head to the side, letting them pass over your shoulder. That was too close.

But wait, what if you weren't the target?

You glance over your shoulder to check on Piccolo, finding him fighting with Sixteen, and seeming to be evenly matched with the tall android. Suddenly, the push against your arms stops, and you look forward to see Gero right in front of you, pulling back his leg for a kick.

You bring your arm up just in time to block his strike, and when he throws a kick right after with his other leg, this time aiming at your jaw, you move your head back. He attempts to bring that leg back down to strike you from above, but you bring your free arm up to block that one as well.

In his new, awkward position, he's wide open, and you open your mouth wide, hitting him between the legs with a Bear Shout.

Gero is sent flying into the sky, then tumbles head-over-heels backwards once he manages to get off of the wave.

"Sixteen! What are you waiting for? Kill them both!" he orders.

"My behavioral inhibitor is limiting my power," Sixteen explains as he and Piccolo trade more blows. "Probability of defeating both foes calculated at only thirty percent."

You can see Gero trembling with rage from your spot on the ground. Looks like he really underestimated his opponents, and overestimated his creations. At this rate, you really have a chance of defeating these androids right here, right now.

You hold your stance, waiting to see what Gero and Sixteen do next.

"Very well, then," the scientist speaks up. "Sixteen, Piccolo seems to be fighting on equal footing with you, but by my calculations, your power still far exceeds Tofoo."

"Affirmative," Sixteen acknowledges. "Calculating ninety-nine percent chance of victory while battling Tofoo in a one-on-one fight."

"Then rip him apart!" Gero orders, extending his right hand. "I'll handle Piccolo!"

A massive ball of light shoots from his hand, aimed not at you, but your ally instead.

Channeling energy into your right fist, you leap off of the ground, pulling back your right arm and hitting Gero's attack with a Bear Claw. The energy-enhanced punch not only stops Gero's attack dead in its tracks, but sends it flying right back at its creator.

Meanwhile, you feel a shift in the air, and glance down to see Sixteen explode from the ground and charge toward you.

"No you don't!" Piccolo shouts, his arms extending after the android, and grabbing hold of Sixteen's ankles.

Spinning, he tosses the ginger-haired machine off into the distance, keeping it from attacking you for at least a few more moments.

Looking back toward Gero, you find you can't see him. However, the energy attack has stopped in its tracks, and you suspect that he is absorbing the energy back into his body.

Racing upward and maneuvering behind the machine, you find that you're right. He is siphoning the energy from his own attack, restoring the power he used to make it.

But, he doesn't get all of it. Bringing your hands together in a single fist, you slam them against the back of Gero's head, knocking his hat right off his body, and right into the ball of light. Gero himself falls forward as well, his face striking the blast and causing it to detonate.

You bring your arms up to shield yourself from the shockwaves, while at the same time kicking Gero in the back and sending him crashing to the ground below.

You aren't going to let the old man try any more tricks. This nightmare is stopping today, and you're going to make sure of it. As Gero slams into the ground, you channel energy into your feet.

"Ka....." you begin, preparing for a final attack that should put Gero out of commission.

On the ground below, the old man picks himself up, his clothes torn and scorched, and his face twisted in a fury that borders on the insane.

"DAMN YOU, YOU MISERABLE FREAK!" he howls, his voice cracking with his rage. "WHY DON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY?!"

"Me....." you continue, keeping your posture normal so as not to alert your foe to what you're about to do.

"I DON'T CARE HOW LONG IT TAKES! I DON'T CARE IF I'M EVEN HERE TO SEE IT!" Gero continues.

"Ha......" you go on.

"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE!" he declares. "YOU, AND EVERYTHING YOU LOVE WILL BE DESTROYED! YOU WILL PAY A HUNDRED, NO, A THOUSAND-FOLD FOR WHAT YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS DID!"

"Me....."


Gero lowers his hands in front of his body, putting them beside one-another as they begin to glow in preparation for another attack. He's about to throw everything that he has at you.

"HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" you shout, angling your body and firing a blue wave of light from your feet.

You shoot like a torpedo toward the old man, who thrusts his arms toward you and fires a colossal wave of purple light up to meet you.

"GO TO HELL!" he shrieks as you race down toward his blast.

You cross your arms in front of you, letting out a yell of your own as you put even more power into your blast. You propel yourself right into the beam of light, hissing in pain as the surrounding energy scorches your body and clothes. But still, you press on, barely slowed down in the slightest as you race closer and closer to your foe, who continues feeding his attack, trying to reduce you to atoms before you can ever reach him.

Unfortunately for him, that's not to be. You reach the end of his attack and slam right into him, tackling him to the ground and sliding him on his back through the dirt, your crossed arms at his throat as you continue propelling yourself forward.

His eyes widen, and beams shoot up at your face, but you move your head out of the way, answering with a headbutt that slams Gero's head against the ground.

Focusing your energy, you create two blades of light, one on each arm. Gero's eyes widen with fear, knowing what's about to happen. With a final yell, you uncross your arms, decapitating the cyborg in a swift movement.

You stop feeding energy to your attack, and pull up, hovering over Gero's still-sliding body, and watching as his head rolls away. Bringing back your swords, you hold out both hands, your right toward the head, and your left toward the body.

All it takes is two energy blasts, and Doctor Gero is dead.

Shifting your eyes, you spot Piccolo, once more locked in battle with Sixteen. Piccolo is fighting with all he has, and managing to land quite a few hits, but he's taking just as much damage as he's giving, and his energy is starting to drop.

I think our Lightning shot only worked on Cell because he was mostly organic. And since the metal he uses to build the androids are basicaly "magic metal" it might not be as vuberable to lightning attacks.

To be fair that is just kinda the natural escalation of fights in DBZ. Also if you remember it has always seemed that the more Tofoo is backed into a corner the stronger he gets think about how he managed a bear shout that hurt final form Frieza after his body was broken by him three times over and how he found the power to contend with Cooler after taking a beating from CAS there are multiple examples of it all throughout the quest. Obviously it was all the luck of the dice but it is amazing how it happens over and over this is probably the best example of it so far.

Taking a moment to catch your breath, you sense for the others, detecting Lapis, Krillin, Trunks, and Konattsu all rapidly closing in on your location. Reinforcements are nearly here.

With that knowledge, you decide to join in the fight. With so many warriors working together, Sixteen doesn't have a prayer.

As the android continues to battle with Piccolo, you rush in, flying above Piccolo's head and slamming your foot into the android's face. As Sixteen staggers back, Piccolo fires a wave of energy into his gut, sending him sliding back.

You back flip, landing behind Piccolo and dropping into a defensive stance.

"Where's Gero?" the Namekian asks.

"Dead," you answer.

Piccolo smirks back at you over his shoulder. "Is that so? Guess I wasted my time returning to this state."

He looks forward as Sixteen gets back up. "This one's tough. Tougher than the others by a long-shot. If I'm being honest, I'm not positive that I can handle it on my own."

"Then we'll work together," you tell him. "Ready?"

"Yeah," he answers, beginning to gather his energy.

Sixteen rushes forward, and Piccolo unleashes a powerful wave of energy. The android knocks it aside and keeps charging, pulling an arm back for a punch. Piccolo leaps out of the way, and when Sixteen punches, you're the one in its path.

Catching his fist with your left palm, you're still sent sliding back by the power of the Android's attack, Sixteen not stopping his charge just because he's dealing with you instead of Piccolo, now.

Your hand throbs from the punch, but you do your best to endure it and keep Sixteen distracted.

It works. Piccolo drops down and slams his elbow onto the back of Sixteen's head, and at the same time, you raise your right knee. The result is the android's face crashing into your knee, and you find yourself wondering if he feels pain the same way the other two did.

If he does, that has to have hurt.

Dropping your knee, you bring your right elbow down on the back of Sixteen's head, sending his face down into the dirt. Then, you leap back as Piccolo unleashes another wave of energy, this one far more powerful than the last.

Raising your arm to defend against the shockwaves, you land a short distance away, watching as Piccolo gathers up energy and begins to rain more and more attacks down upon the grounded android.

You drop into a defensive stance as Piccolo continues to attack, readying yourself for any other attacks from Sixteen.

The first strike is against Piccolo. A fist comes flying up from the ground, and strikes the Namekian in the jaw.

Sixteen comes flying up from the dust cloud, catching his fist and reattaching it before delivering a punch to Piccolo's face, sending the Namekian to the ground and sliding to your feet.

He doesn't get back up, and you can barely sense his energy.

Scowling, you prepare to defend as Sixteen comes charging to the ground, but the android breaks through your defenses as he tackles, you, slamming you right into a crater, and knocking the wind from your lungs.

He rises back into the air, removing his hands, and holding his arms down toward you. They begin to glow.

"Behavioral inhibitor damaged," he remarks. "Now operating at maximum power."

You close your eyes and brace yourself.

"KIENZAN!"

Sixteen looks over just in time to see the disk-shaped energy coming, but not in time to get out of the way. The Kienzan slices through his body, and he falls toward you in pieces.

Someone lands in the crater with you, standing over you and firing two blasts of energy that destroy the falling parts.

Trunks, looks down at you, worry in his eyes. "Are you alright?"

He shakes his head, chuckling. "Nope."

He points upward, and you raise your head to see Konattsu floating in the air, a grin on her face. She gives you a wave as she descends to your level.

"Did I do good, Uncle Tofoo?" she asks.

The girl seems overjoyed at your approval, and the smile she gives you makes you forget some of the pain Sixteen's attack gave to you.

"Come on, we need to get Piccolo out of here," you tell them, landing by the Namekian and picking him up.

Ok so unless Som deems it too meta our to do list is:
Ask Piccolo and trunks about making trunks the guardian of his time without losing our guardian status.
Go to Gero's lab and search for anything else that might be a problem (I mean it makes sense considering we saw he has the capability to make things strong enough to survive trunks blast with 16's pod but it's his call)
Possibly go into the HBC just to make sure Trunks Is strong enough to be able to protect his world after we help him with the androids and return to our time
And finally go to Trunk's time with Goku so he at least gets to fight something and with the coords of new namek so they can use the Dragon balls
Tell trunks that once he has fixed up his world and revived everyone he better visit with some of the others

Well they gave us one episode, so I guess that's still more than what Z gave him. Still could've given us a better end than just sneak attack knock out, that just annoyed me.

With the HBTC, I believe the one day for one year is the fastest you can make it but I could be wrong. You can change the time distortion though, even make it normalize the time with real time so that you can just keep the door open and treat it like an infinite gravity chamber, though that comes with its own dangers.
